Hey everyone!
All of the recent hints Light has been putting out to the LP3 have got me thinking. In interviews with Jose Briones, Joe from Light said that the LP3 would not be a replacement for the Light Phone 2, but instead an alternative.
I don't really know what they mean by this, as the only ways it could be an 'alternative' (that I can think of) would be to make it much larger than the current LP2, or move away from E-ink? Both of which, I believe to be bad choices. A small size bump is fine, but it definitely should not be near smartphone level. As for E-Ink, I think that is essential to the light experience and charm that many were drawn to.
Also, the name LP3 itself implies that it is the successor to the current model, so 🤷.

For thousands of years, and to this day, Christians of various kinds have tried to demonstrate the truth of Christianity by claiming that Jesus was prophesied about specifically in the Hebrew Scriptures. It is argued that Jesus fulfilled these prophecies about the Messiah in the OT and, therefore, is the promised one. Only Jesus could've fulfilled these Messianic prophecies, so they say. Additionally, Christian theology, building off the NT paradigm of quoting the OT, has claimed that the OT looks forward to the founding of Christianity and the formation of the Church.
What this post will argue is that this is anachronistic and that Christians are incorrect in their claims about the OT. The OT prophets do not look forward to a supposed Messiah figure who would arrive hundreds of years later in 1st century Roman Palestine or that this Messiah figure would crucified and raised from the dead. Nor do they prophesy the establishment of the Christian religion. Instead, the OT looks forward to an imminent, glorious, material restoration of ancient Israel meant to happen in their day, not centuries later when Christianity was founded. Nor is the OT looking forward to supposed events that have yet to happen, like the second coming of Jesus or a future restoration of the land of Israel. These were supposed to happen in ancient Israel but did not occur.
Before I begin, I would like to say that this is the consensus of biblical scholars and historians. This is not just my opinion or the opinion of secular skeptics. All critical scholars of the OT, including Jews, Christians, and non-religious ones, agree that OT needs to be understood in its ancient Israelite context. They agree that these texts and oracles are not about Jesus or the Church. If you want to read an excellent scholarly resource, I highly recommend John J. Collins, Introduction to the Hebrew Bible, 2018. He is a leading OT scholar at Yale and a Roman Catholic. The New Oxford Annotated Study Bible is also a beneficial resource, giving a critical scholarly introduction and notes to the Hebrew Bible.
For this post, I will look at some of the principal prophetic literature of the OT. I cannot analyze every single relevant passage.

Isaiah

The Book of Isaiah is among the most popular books in ancient Judaism and Christianity. I could be wrong, but I believe it is the most cited book in the NT after Psalms. This is relevant to this discussion because Christians cite many passages in Isaiah, believing them to be predictions about Jesus. This precedent is set in the NT, for example, in Matthew's or Luke's gospel. However, Jesus/Christianity is not prophesied in the book. Instead, Isaiah predicts the imminent restoration of the Kingdom of Israel and the gathering of the twelve tribes.
Let's examine Isaiah 7:14, a passage often misconstrued as a prophecy about Jesus. In reality, it's not a prophecy about the Messiah at all. The passage states, 'Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.' This is not about a virgin giving a miraculous birth. The word used here is 'almah ', which simply means young woman. If Isaiah intended to convey that this woman was a virgin, there was a word for that, 'betulah '. Matthew's use of the Greek translation of Isaiah 7:14, which is a mistranslation of the Hebrew, as a prophecy about Jesus's virgin birth is a misinterpretation. The context of Isaiah 7 is an oracle of consolation given to King Ahaz, promising him a sign through the birth of a son that Jerusalem will be preserved from the Assyrian crisis.
'For before the child knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land before whose two kings you are in dread will be deserted. The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on your ancestral house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah—the king of Assyria. On that day the Lord will whistle for the fly that is at the sources of the streams of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. And they will all come and settle in the steep ravines and in the clefts of the rocks and on all the thornbushes and on all the watering holes. On that day the Lord will shave with a razor hired beyond the River—with the king of Assyria—the head and the hair of the feet, and it will take off the beard as well.'
So, Isaiah 7:14 refers to the Assyrian crisis in the 8th century BCE and the preservation of Jerusalem, not events that occurred hundreds of years later. Matthew's misquotation of the OT is a clear example of misinterpretation. It's quite ironic and even amusing that the most famous and well-known prophecy about Jesus's virgin birth, cited every year at Christmas, is quite literally not about that. This highlights the importance of understanding the historical context and the original intent of the texts.
There is a cluster of oracles in Isaiah 9-11 that Christians cite as a prophecy about Jesus. But when we look at the context of Isaiah 7-12, we see that these are about the restoration of Zion and the re-establishment of a Davidic king who would rule in the ancient Near East in Israel, not in 1st-century Judea.
Let's look at some of the famous passages.
'For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders, and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Great will be his authority, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.' 9:6-7
This is not a prophecy about Jesus. The text presupposes that this son is already born and will fulfill this vision in Isaiah's day. Again, the passages surrounding this one set the historical context for fulfillment in the ANE. This Davidic King would preside over the physical restoration of a united Kingdom of Israel and the unification of the twelve tribes.
'On that day, the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer lean on the one who struck them but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. For though your people, O Israel, were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return.' 10:20-22
'On that day, the root of Jesse shall stand as a signal to the peoples; the nations shall inquire of him, and his dwelling shall be glorious. On that day, the Lord will again raise his hand to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.' 11:10-11
The King, through Yahweh, on that day will also,
'raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart; the hostility of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not be hostile toward Ephraim. ¹⁴ But they shall swoop down on the backs of the Philistines in the west; together, they shall plunder the people of the east. They shall put forth their hand against Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites shall obey them.'
So, it's clear what these oracles were intending to describe. Isaiah predicted that after the Assyrian crisis of the 8th century BCE, Yahweh would raise up a Davidic ruler who would preside over a literal Israelite Kingdom that would become the dominant power of the ANE. This was expected to happen in the ancient world, but it did not occur. The historical context of Jesus and the first-century Church is not the fulfillment of these oracles. These oracles are failed. Isaiah's vision of an eternal, glorious Israelite Kingdom did not come to pass.

Jeremiah

There are two passages in Jeremiah I would like to discuss.
Jeremiah 29:10 promises that after 70 years, the Jews will return from the Babylonian exile, and God will restore Israel to its former glory.
'For thus says the Lord: Only when Babylon’s seventy years are completed will I visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then, when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.'
This never happened historically. Yes, some of the Judeans in exile did return to Israel. Israel was rebuilt with the help of the Persians. But, this was not the glorious restoration predicted by the prophets. Israel would continue to be dominated by foreign powers until the establishment of the secular state of Israel in 1948, which, of course, has no relevance to this ancient oracle. Further, while some Judeans did return, this promise of a gathering of Jews from all the nations did not happen. After the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, Jews have remained permanently dispersed in the diaspora. This is another failed oracle. It cannot be interpreted exegetically as being fulfilled in the 1st century with Jesus and Christianity.

What is the context?
'At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.' 31:1
'The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. And the measuring line shall go out farther, straight to the hill Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah. The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes and all the fields as far as the Wadi Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be sacred to the Lord. It shall never again be uprooted or overthrown.' 31:38-40
'For the days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors, and they shall take possession of it' 30:3
Then, it is clear what prophesy about the New Covenant means. It's about the imminent restoration of the ancient Kingdom of Israel and its ascent into power and glory. Again, these oracles remained unfulfilled and precisely falsified.

Micah

There is one famous passage in Micah 5, quoted in Matthew and frequently cited by Christians as "proof" that Jesus's birth location was prophesied about hundreds of years prior. The idea that Jesus was born in Bethlehem is, of course, historically dubious. Matthew and Luke's accounts are contradictory and rife with historical problems. Mark and John assume Jesus has always been a native of Nazareth (Mk 6:2-3, Jn 1:46, 7:42). It seems then that Matthew and Luke invented their passages about Jesus being born in Bethlehem to give him more Davidic status. But this is beside the point, even if Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It is not a fulfillment of this passage.
'But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah, who is one of the little clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to rule in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.' 5:2
What is the historical context of this oracle? Again, the context of the chapter and the book is Israel's restoration and the Israelite kingdom's imminent establishment.
'Then, the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not depend upon people or wait for any mortal. ⁸ And among the nations the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, with no one to deliver. ⁹ Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.'
On that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots; ¹¹ and I will cut off the cities of your land and destroy all your strongholds; ¹² and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers; ¹³ and I will cut off your images and your pillars from among you, and you shall bow down no more to the work of your hands; ¹⁴ and I will uproot your sacred poles^\)g^\) from among you and destroy your towns. ¹⁵ And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey.
What about this future King? Again, I find it amusing that Christians cite this text to show that Jesus fulfilled it. It shows they have not read and understood the historical context of the oracle. The text goes on to say that this King will conquer the land of Assyria, the land of Nimrod.
Micah 5:5–6
'When the Assyrians come into our land and tread upon our soil, we will raise against them seven shepherds and eight rulers. They shall rule the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod with the drawn sword; he shall rescue us from the Assyrians if they come into our land or tread within our border.'

Conclusion

I've, of course, been very selective. There are many more examples of this that could've been pulled from. I hope you will see what I've briefly tried to show. The Prophets of the OT predicted that in their own time, they would see the salvation of Yahweh as their God. A Davidic King would be raised, and Israel would be restored to glory after the Assyrian crisis in the case of Isaiah or the Babylonian crisis in the case of Jeremiah and Micah. The same goes for the other prophets. My thesis, then, is that historically understood, not only did these oracles fail in their prediction, but they are demonstrably not about events in 1st century Roman Palestine or the wider Greco-Roman world. They're not about establishing the Church or a dying and rising messiah figure who brings spiritual salvation. Yes, the NT does interpret passages in the OT as being fulfilled in Jesus. But they are taken out of their historical context. The NT and early Christians were not novel in this practice. This was standard Jewish exegesis of the OT. Because Christians and Jews believed that the OT writings were sacred scripture that couldn't be wrong, they reinterpreted them in the light of their situations. The Essenes at Qumran, like the early Christians, also thought that their community and Teacher of Righteousness was the fulfillment of the bible prophecy, and the Rabbis in the Rabbinic literature frequently apply ancient scripture to their community.

Disillusioned with the current job market? I get it, I really do. As if sifting through thousands of opportunities, writing a cover letters, going through 3 rounds of interviews, and all of the “homework assignments” isn’t enough? But we CAN’T forget to add a deep dive search into your potential employer’s background to the list because the amount of pyramid scheme/predatory companies out there is only increasing and they’re getting more and more sophisticated.
I’m have one intention; to prevent others from falling prey to the same predatory and morally corrupt situation that I found myself in. Thank god (or whomevewhatever is pulling the strings out there) for good friends with a knack for uncovering company's secrets or I would be working for a MLM right now. The company is called Silver Lining Marketing Inc. and they’re office is located in Gretna, LA (but operates in the greater New Orleans Area). They have an actual office, with employees and everything. They even make their employees wear business professional clothing so as to appear more legitimate. They have a functioning website, which once I actually read everything on their website, I realized that they aren’t really marketing the non-profits they fundraise for, but rather they are marketing job opportunities and personal growth within their company.
I applied to a job listing on indeed for an executive management position with Silver Lining Marketing Inc. with $75-100K compensation, which sounds great, right? You go through 3 rounds of interviews which end with an in-person interview with one of the “Team Leaders” and then their CEO. Everyone is SO nice and they do a great job of making the office feel “fun and supportive”. They don’t give you the job on the spot but rather wait at least a day or two to contact you after your final interview, so it appears as though this is a competitive and desirable position. Once you’re hired the switch flips and you’re finally made aware that you will not reach the executive manager position for about a year and this is how they get you!
First you will start out in an entry level “training” position for about a month where the pay is a measly $12/hr, but you get 20% of one-time donations and 1X monthly donations…which I don’t know how anyone sees any of that “bonus” money because they are still training and not “out in the field”. It was at this point that I asked what “out in the field” meant. I wrongfully assumed that in this position I would be doing event planning for galas, dinners, and any other kind of fundraising event…but man was I wrong! “Out in the field” actually translated to going to Walmart, CVS, various grocery stores, ect for 8 hours with a clipboard and harassing strangers for donations to various non-profits. Thats how they make their “bonuses” and I HIGHLY DOUBT that the people they coerced into donating their hard-earned money would still want to donate if they knew that approximately 40% of that donation would be going in to the pocket of a for-profit marketing firm. They have you wear clothing with the non-profit’s logo on it so that people think you work for the non-profit and they also tell you to never tell the donors that you take a (hefty) percentage of the money that they think is being donated in its entirety to the non-profit.
After about a month you move up to a leadership role. The leadership level is split in to 3 tiers; Jr. leader, Core leader, and Sr. leader. You’re still making $12/hr by the way, BUT WAIT, now you’ll get 20% of any one-time donations you 1.5X any monthly donations you receive. When you move to the Core leadership level you get a “growth bonus” which I was told is $200, hooray?? Upon reaching the Sr. leadership role you’re still at $12/hr but now you get 20% of one-time donations and 2X monthly donations. According to the employee I spoke to, new employees typically spend around 16-20 weeks in this role. At this point you are responsible for set up and break down of “events” in “the field”, your team of $12/hr cronies, and the money collected at the “events”. To move to the next tier, which is assistant manager, one must first indoctrinate 4 other people and at least 1 of those 4 people has to make it to a Sr. leadership role. This means you have to get at least 4 more suckers to work for 12/hr before you can be promoted, is this starting to sound familiar? In addition to your recruitment goals, you must also get at least 10K in one-time donations and 1K in monthly donations for 2 weeks in a row.
When you get to the third level you become assistant manager and you are STILL MAKING $12/hr, but don’t get your panties in a bunch because WOAH now you’re make 20% on one-time donations and 3X monthly donations. The assistant manager role typically last about 8-12 weeks and it is in this role that you learn the scripts and necessary brain-washing tools to start your very own MLM! The fourth and final level is executive manager and in this role you’re supposed to be making 75k-100k and be in charge of your own entire office of brainwashed underpaid employees and you get to rinse and repeat with all of the new hires.
These companies brainwash people in numerous ways. Every morning there is a meeting for an hour and half in which you stand up, yell mantras, clap, and get hyped up for a long day of skimming donations from various non-profit charities. They make sure everyone looks professional and has a “good attitude” to prevent people from getting spooked or god forbid thinking for themselves long enough to realize that they’re part of a pyramid scheme. How is this legal, you say!? Well, unfortunately it is legal but it absolutely should not be. See this particular company isn’t making you buy a product and then sell said product to make money, no no no, instead this company hides behind the good names of the charities that it “represents” while skimming money off the top of each donation. The Charities are getting donations they otherwise wouldn’t have so they're not motivated to do the necessary research in to the practices of the company that is paying them. I would also like to note that I don’t think that all of the people that currently work for or have worked for Silver Lining Marketing Inc. are terrible, morally corrupt, individuals because they at their core victims of this heinous system that judicial system has allowed to persist. This company targets kind-hearted individuals that want to help charities, individuals who typically don’t take a job just for the money. This allows them to guilt you in to working for an unlivable wage because, hey, you're making a difference and if you just work hard enough for a while then you’ll make lots of money and get to start your very own business!
I watched a youtube video on pyramid/MLM schemes called “The Slave Circle (Direct Marketing Devil Corp. Documentary)” and this video gave me the confidence I needed to tell the company that I would not work for them and why. Lastly, I would like to say that if you or someone you know has been a victim of a fucked MLM like this, don’t turn to anger or vengeance. Don’t let this discourage you, these companies are so sophisticated and have scripted responses for every possible situation. They prey on good people and you are not a bad person if you fall for it, just don’t make that mistake again, learn from your errors, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post about your experience on reddit, glassdoor, and anywhere else you feel comfortable so that you can prevent others from falling victim to the same situation!!

I'm a 18 F and I'm graduating High School. In my school students have admins based on the first letter of our last names. I and some other students have never liked my admin. Though out my junior and senior year I was apart of science Olympia and I love it. Science Olympia is where each school has a team and compete against different schools in different events. Like code busting, scrambler, bridge, tower and more. The teams with enough points/ 1, 2, and 3 places went to State. Last year we went to State and we were hoping to go to State this year. A week before we were going to regionals, I had a terrible flu and couldn't go to school for a week. And I had already gotten off the D and F list. (The D and F list is when you have a certain amount of D's and 2 F's and you can'tdo any school events until you grt your grades up.) Well I have gotten one of my F's up and was feeling a bit better on Friday and went to school excited to go to regions on Saturday. After school when I was home I had gotten a call from my science teacher who helps run science Olympia at my school, to tell me that I was on the D and F list again. Confused I looked at my grades online and I had gotten an F in this one class for mainly not being there. I couldn't help it since I was sick at home with the FLU! My science teacher told my admin about that but she didn’t allow me to go on Saturday because I'm on the list I can't go. Even though my teacher for the class I'm in is failing me and putting in zeros for the assignments that I had missed for being sick with the FLU. Well I couldn't go and my mom and I had talked with the principal and agreed that what my admin did wasn't right. Present time my admin is still the same as she was even though she allows people being bullied and being a bitch to me and other people. I'm thinking of not shaking her hand as I walk the stage during graduation. What would you guys think? Would I be the Asshole for doing that?

I keep seeing people talking about kep1er extending their contract sans the 143 girls (yeseo and mashiro), but it seems like the original rumor is not yet confirmed. I did see someone saying that 143 might have commented, but I couldn't find an original statement of that yet either. So far it seems like just a rumor, but I have mixed feelings about it, if true.
Obviously I'd miss yeshiro but limelight is great, so I'd be sure to to keep up with them. I'm also unsure how long this extension would be. Would they become a permanent group with a 5-7 year contract extension? Or would this be more like when wannaone did year end events together post-disbandment? Perhaps the purpose would be a world tour or just an album or two more while the remaining companies get series about redebut preparations. It could be a good opportunity for members like bahiyyih and yujin, who tend to get the raw end of the deal in ot9. Wakeone could rebrand the group a bit (not the name or anything, but some image or marketing changes), which could kill them or renew their popularity. All this, assuming w1 starts to care about kep1er. Perhaps a permanent group would get more attention? Maybe they would get a new, dedicated management team?
What are people thinking? Is it real? If so, how do you feel about it?

I (male) posted about this "friend" (male) before however I only went into details about a specific event. This time, I am going to be broader:
Basically, this person (who came from out of town) approached my friend and I wanting to hang out and go drink in the same plaza. We soon become friends and he was pretty cool.
However, as time passed (About 1 and a half years of hanging out), I noticed a slew of strange events that seem like an odd set up was happening. I couldn't place my finger on it at the time but here is how it went.

1. He started to face time me with friends that I knew a long time ago. He was counties away, it's strange he suddenly became very close with some people I know. His targets were people I associate with on there from time to time but not my close circle who would have informed me right away. Yet every time he called me out to a bar, he'd bring someone from my facebook. Instead of these people I know being friendly, they often somehow get angry with me.
2. He brought strangers that also seemed pissed off at me. They would have pissed off face and talk extra loudly when I talk to them. Yet made it friendly with other people I am with.
3. He has a wife and began telling her that he'd hang out with a buddy all night and often use my name to cover up his shenanigans whatever he was doing. His wife began calling me getting mad that we'd hang out late and I'd just say sorry don't know what she is talking about. There was a bit of a language barrier with his wife, but I guess she thinks I was just with him.
4. He used a picture of me to try and get online escorts because he was afraid, they might had been undercover police.
5. I finally decide to cut him off once and for all after he called me to hang out and kept on cutting me off when the waitress asks me a question. Then he called another guy in who took the pack of cigs that he bought for me to smoke. I believe he was trying to set up a fight.

A lot of people say he's out there to try and get me into some kind of trouble. The reason why would be up for debate. What do you guys think?

Following the Great Schism, 'Saham remained loyal to 'Volir and served as an Honor Guard in his crew as they fought against the Covenant. In 2553, 'Saham joined the rest of 'Volir's crew in defecting from the separatist Fleet of Recalcitrant Ire and reluctantly swore loyalty to the Banished. During the Banished's battle with the forces of the UNSC Spirit of Fire on Forerunner Installation 00, 'Saham was killed by UNSC forces while protecting his Scarab.
Biography: Orda Val 'Saham served in the Covenant fleet aboard Enduring Conviction under the command of Sangheili Shipmaster Let 'Volir during the Human-Covenant War. Following the Great Schism, a major civil conflict between forces loyal to the Covenant against the ousted Sangheili, 'Saham remained loyal to 'Volir and continued to serve as an Honor Guard aboard Enduring Conviction as part of the Fleet of Recalcitrant Ire.
'Saham's renunciation of the Covenant religion resulted in his estrangement from his family, who refused to fully condemn their faith.
Sometime before May 6, 2553, 'Volir broke away from the Fleet of Recalcitrant Ire and its crew, including 'Saham, pledged their loyalty to the Jiralhanae warlord Atriox and his splinter faction known as the Banished. Now a mercenary, 'Saham felt he brought shame on his family name for offering his blade for hire but remained fiercely loyal to his fellow crew-members.
On November 25, 2558, the Banished arrived at Forerunner Installation 00, also known as "the Ark," and proceeded to raid the United Nations Space Command research outposts on the surface.
Over the next few months, the Banished established their presence across the Ark. During this time, 'Saham had the opportunity to visit the installation's Cartographer as part of a Sangheili team tasked with sweeping the area for hostile elements. 'Saham felt great emotion at the Cartographer, a site that was considered legendary in the ancient fables of the Covenant belief, though he felt no religious fervor towards the structure. 'Saham recorded his thoughts on the Cartographer and its link to the Covenant faith in his journal on March 4, 2559.
On March 28, 2559, the UNSC Spirit of Fire arrived by slipspace portal at the Ark and battle soon broke out between the two groups. On March 30, 'Saham was ordered to defend the Banished's teleportation network from the human forces, and report to Atriox's lieutenant, War Chief Decimus. 'Saham survived this operation and later learned of the destruction of Enduring Conviction by UNSC forces, which angered him greatly. Commanding a Scarab, 'Saham was transferred to an access point the Banished were using to send reinforcements to a recently deployed Halo ring. The Sangheili soon came into contact with a contingent of UNSC Marines led by Spartans Douglas-042 and Alice-130, who aimed to commandeer the Scarab in order to reach the access point. 'Saham, armed with an energy sword, fought alongside the surrounding Banished forces against the humans, but was eventually killed. His Scarab was hijacked, allowing the UNSC to halt the flow of Banished reinforcements to the ring and eventually neutralize all forces there.
Personality: Like most Sangheili who lived under the Covenant, Orda Val 'Saham was a zealous believer in the Forerunner religion and the Great Journey. However, after the revelation of the true nature of the Forerunners, 'Saham became disillusioned and renounced his former beliefs. He felt great love for his Sangheili "brothers" and was sorrowful and angry that the Prophets had led so many of his species to needless death. After becoming a mercenary, 'Saham felt he had brought shame on his family name but believed that there was nothing more worth fighting for than his ship and crew. As such, 'Saham held great anger towards the Spirit of Fire's forces after the destruction of the Enduring Conviction.

After being sucked into an interdimensional portal, Timmy and Jimmy found themselves in a bar surrounded by a crowd of what they assumed were members of the Crips, due to the serious vibes and weird outfits. There was a guy covered in purple skin, barely held together by staples, another with hands attached to his arms and even his face, and someone who appeared to be half-lizard, half-human.
"W-wow, these guys really are crippled," Jimmy whispered to Timmy.
"Timmy!"
The three gentlemen Jimmy had pointed out suddenly turned toward them. The one with the hands attached to his face took a step forward, his expression intense.
"Who the hell are you guys?!" he demanded.
"Greetings, fellas," Jimmy said, "m-my name is Jimmy S-Swanson, and this is my friend, Timmy."
"Timmy!"
"We're b-both true crips, born and raised," Jimmy continued, "and w-we would love to join your wonderful group."
The three gentlemen looked at each other, exchanging uncertain glances, trying to gauge each other's reactions. Finally, the one covered in purple skin shrugged and the one covered in hands nodded silently.
"If you want to join us, then you have to prove your worth," he said.
Eager to join a group of like-minded individuals, Jimmy didn't hesitate in saying, "S-sure, what do you need us to do?"
The lizard-looking one leaned in closer. "All you have to do is pop some punk-ass heroes."
Chaos ensues.

I have a 2017 iMac 27” Retina 5K with the i7-770k 16gb ram RX 575 4GB GPU
I purchased this Mac with a dead internal apple blade ssd. So cloning, backing up etc for this install will not be an option.
I have installed a Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card for Upgrade 2013-2015 Year Macs(Not Fit Early 2013 MacBook Pro). With a Samsung Evo 970 m.2 SSD.
I cannot get Mac OS of any kind to install I have tried Ventura, Catalina, Sierra. I get the same exact issue every time. Install goes totally normal I format the drive to apfs with guid partition table and then install. The installer gets about halfway or so through then the progress bar stops. The countdown continues to go down from 20 minutes or so until about 1-2 minutes then it reboots and I get an Apple logo with a progress bar and a message that say about 22minutes remaining. Then it will get about halfway through and reboot again. It will just continue to reboot over and over until I get an error message that says your computer restarted due to an error etc.
I have tried a 2.5” SSD, a 2.5” Mechanical drive, and now I have a WD SN 750 m.2 installed. All drives give the same exact issue.
I finally got fed up and installed windows so I could atleast confirm all my hardware is working correctly and temps are good and they are.
I have tried csrutil disable, naming the formatted drive Macintosh HD. Internet recovery, USB Recovery. Safe mode will load up but it basically freezes immediately.
If anyone has any suggestions let me know otherwise I’m going to install a modded version of Mac OS or just leave it on windows.

Hey, it’s Ducks bro again. Recently, I won’t name names because I don’t want to get into any arguments with anyone, have been getting lots of hate from other subs (I can understand their point of me posting a lot on another teams sub, I get it!)
So, I don’t exactly feel very comfortable posting for a while. I don’t want to piss off anyone else’s fanbase. I may just stick to the Ducks subreddit for now. So the movies starts with the guy on vacation and he meets this girl and they go to the beach and basically fall in love but then he goes back to his home town and meets this other girl who he starts going out with (one of the girls name began with m I think). But then then the vacation girl comes to go see him and they sleep together. And I remember him asking his mom for advice and asks if she would choose waffles or pancakes. Anyways he chooses the hometown girl and then year later he dumps her and met the other girl in a bar and I think she tries to suck him off While he’s driving and I think they either did or nearly did get into a car crash. Degenerative Focus
My personal belief is that ADHD is a degenerative accelerant disease. What I mean by that collection of words that I put together for fun is that people naturally lose focus but people with ADHD lose it faster. By lose focus I don't mean the type of focus we lose in an hour I mean the type of focus we lose in a life time.
So picture a perfectly normal human brain person, we will call him, John. So john listens to music while watching netflix and texts with his friends all the same time because fuck it and everyone everywhere. What ends up happening is John loses his ability to focus on anything over time. Let's say for arguments sake... five years. In five years time he loses the ability to read and pay attention to what he is reading due to his bad habits.
Let's call subject two, Sad John. Sad John has ADHD and it makes Sad John well... you know. So let's say Sad John one day watches one youtube video and then another and then switches from one video to another without finishing one or the other. He starts to video hope like a freshman bar hopes... a freshman at any Florida university... just pick one. I swear two of them are named the almost exact same knowing there isn't much of a difference to celebrate. Now Sad John is unfocused. He is about as unfocused as John would be if he split his attention four ways every day for a few years.
Focus Cycling
Sad John doesn't like this state of mind, he hates it. So what could we do to help Sad John? In order to help him we first must understand Focus Cycling. Long story short you naturally become focused and unfocused throughout the day. It is almost as if it mirrors the brain's need to Sleep and Be awake. One must happen for the other to occur.
We want Sad John to be in control of his focus Cycle so he can take advantage of his focus. But what is also important to understand is that when someone tries to focus when Unfocused it further deepens the Degeneration of your focus. Think of it as straining your muscles when you are lifting waits and then something gives. It gets worse not better.
So how can we induce ourselves to be in the focus part of our cycle?
Default Mode Network
Think of it this way, you are in default mode. Default mode means you are. You be and not much else. What is particularly note worthy is even muscle memory when activated pulls one out of default mode.
Without going to much in to the since of it otherwise this might never end lol...
Lay down close your eyes. Palms up so that you aren't flexing your forearms. Try to pin point all of the tension in your body and relax the tension or else the muscle memory will be active. Breath slowly as if you are sleeping. And try to think of nothing. I know it is close to impossible but just try it and over time you'll get better. The idea is to just let your mind go wild and let it settle on it's own.
When it starts acting up again it means it is ready to focus on something. You have 20 minutes of focus. You are in your focus cycle and you have about 20 minutes to do your thing.
Just so you know it can be longer, they say people can focus up to one hour and thirty minutes at a time but since we have ADHD ... let's go with the smallest amount lol
And you do that. You read, study or what have you for 20 minutes and then go back in to default mode for as long as you need. You have to lay down for as long as you think you need to. Sometimes I'm laying down for five minutes, sometimes 20 seconds, just depends how jumpy my brain is.
You do this over time and you will unstrain your focus, meaning your base focus will increase.
