Introduction

Sometimes, while playing online, you come across an opponent whose character has very powerful equipment, called a "build". If you're wondering how to get such a strong build, this tutorial is for you.

Basic Equipment

Your character has 5 pieces of equipment: 1. Head 2. Torso 3. Arms 4. Legs 5. Special Equipment (for Batman, it's a belt)
Each equipment piece has stats that can evolve based on 4 possible choices: - Strength: Influences melee attack damage. - Ability: Influences special attack damage (zoning, power). - Defense: Influences damage taken when the character is protected. - Hit Points: Influences the character's number of hit points.

Example of Perfect Build

A balanced build could be: - 3000 strength - 2100 ability - 5000 defense - 2000 hit points

Obtaining Regeneration Tokens

To improve your equipment, you need regeneration tokens. Here's how to get them: 1. Play in the Multiverse 2. Purchase Mother Boxes in the Eye's Strongroom (main menu of the game)

Regeneration Process

For example, for an original headgear with the following stats: - 200 strength - 300 ability - 0 defense - 0 hit points
This equipment needs to be regenerated with tokens to improve its stats.

Regeneration Strategy

To regenerate your equipment (your "cards"), you need tokens. To obtain these tokens: - Sell blue or gold cards (blue ones are more common and accessible) - Keep the gold cards initially to complete equipment sets.
There are two types of gold cards: "classic" gold cards and those belonging to a set.
What is a set? An equipment set is like a collection. To complete the collection, you must possess all 5 body parts.
Let's give a fictional example, the set of the Wandering Knight. For example, to have the complete set of the Wandering Knight, you must have:
You recognize epic equipment belonging to a set because they have bee hive-like motifs, while simple epic equipment is just gold.

Types of Mother Boxes to Know:

You have several types of Mother Boxes to choose from:
  1. Simple Bronze Boxes
    • Contain common cards and sometimes rare ones
    • Cost: 50 for $250,000
    • Disadvantage: Don't yield many rare cards
  2. Silver Boxes
    • Contain common cards, at least one blue (rare) card, and sometimes epic (gold) cards
    • Cost: 50 for $500,000
    • Advantage: Better balance, yield blue cards and sometimes gold ones
    • Conclusion: The best choice for a good balance
  3. Gold Mother Boxes
    • Contain common, blue, and gold cards
    • Cost: 50 for $1,000,000
    • Advantage: Always yield blue cards and very often gold ones
    • Disadvantage: Very expensive

Conclusion

With 1 million in-game currency, you can buy: - 100 blue cards by purchasing silver Mother Boxes - 50 cards by purchasing gold Mother Boxes
To optimize your build, focus on silver Mother Boxes. Don't hesitate to sell the gold cards of characters you don't want to play.

Additional Tip

The level of your characters influences how quickly your build will evolve. If you have a level 30 character and the rest of your characters are level 1, you will mostly earn level 1 equipment that you can sell for cheap. Remember that money allows you to buy Mother Boxes which themselves yield cards.
Level 1 equipment has practically no resale value compared to level 30 equipment. If you sell 5 level 1 blue cards and 1 level 30 card, the level 30 card will earn you the same amount of money as the 5 level 1 cards combined.
I haven't done the exact calculation, but it's for you to understand the importance of leveling up all your characters.
In summary, it's a cycle. You need to earn money to buy Mother Boxes, you need to open the Mother Boxes and take blue and gold cards, and you need to sell the cards you obtained to get tokens.
You should play online and in the Multiverse to earn equipment. Playing in the Multiverse will earn you a lot of equipment, especially if you repeatedly face Multiverse bosses offline. Each victory will earn you about 2 rare cards, money, or tokens.

In what is becoming a worrying tradition, The Authority make their way to the ring to kick off the show. Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Corporate Kane, and The New Age Outlaws are out first. Stephanie introduces the UNDISPUTED WWE World Heavyweight Champion ---- RANDALL KEITH ORTON! Orton walks out with his arm in a sling and soaks in a very negative reaction. Triple H and Stephanie take turns talking up Randy Orton's accomplishments like proud parents. They unveil a new championship; the World Heavyweight and WWE titles have been merged into a modernized version of the classic Winged Eagle design. Triple H straps the new title around Orton's waist and the fans chant "CM PUNK!" Stephanie reacts to the chants by informing everyone that due to his threats of violence, CM Punk has been barred from the building tonight. That is not a popular decision in Oklahoma. Triple H demands the fans shut their spoiled mouths and acknowledge that there’s a new definition of greatness. Orton takes the microphone but the boo's are deafening and he declines to speak until the fans quiet down.
Orton finally talks, managing to say "Welcome to the era of greatness. The era that is best for business. You cheer for guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, but they don't measure up to me on their best day." Daniel Bryan's music hits and the arena breaks out into a massive YES chant. Bryan reminds Orton that he stole that championship from him at Summerslam with the help of Triple H. The American Dragon wonders how long Orton is going to hide behind The Authority, security and fake injuries. If Orton really believes himself to be the standard of greatness, why are The Authority doing everything in their power to make sure he doesn't have to stand across from Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 30? "I won the Royal Rumble and I will win the Elimination Chamber, so while you're sitting at home watching me be the champion you pretend to be, I want you to remember one thing: I AM INEVITABLE!" Orton shakes his head and says Bryan will never learn. His injury is 100% legitimate and he doesn't owe anybody an explanation. Orton says the only person watching from home is CM Punk! And tonight, Punk can watch Daniel Bryan in the main event .... against an opponent of Orton's choosing. Bryan welcomes the challenge and says his opponents blood will be on Orton's hands.

Kaitlyn is in control until AJ throws some water at her and Tamina takes advantage by sending Kaitlyn face first into the ringpost! Tamina throws Kaitlyn back in the ring and hits a devastating Samoan Drop for the 3 count.

Aksana is out next but she doesn't really stand a chance. Tamina is like a cat playing with a mouse. She mercy kills Aksana with a Samoan Drop for another elimination.

Naomi hits the ring and gives Tamina a run for her money. She connects with the Rear View but Tamina kicks out at two. Naomi goes to the 2nd turnbuckle but Tamina takes her head off in mid air with a big boot! Tamina scales the ropes --- SUPERFLY SPLASH! 1-2-3!

Mickie James is out next to a great reaction! Mickie takes the fight to Tamina and knocks her down with a dropkick from the 2nd rope. Tamina goes for a powerbomb but James rolls through with a sunset flip and gets a 2 count! Mickie attempts the Stratusfaction but Tamina yanks her down by the hair! Mickie crawls to the corner where Tamina smashes her with a running hip attack! Tamina climbs to the top and leaps off with a Superfly Splash but Mickie rolls out of the way! MICK KICK! 1-2-3!

Brie Bella is next and she shakes Mickie's hand as a sign of respect. They have a good back and forth, countering big moves, and securing some nearfalls. But Mickie's championship lust overwhelms her opponent, she hits Brie Bella with the Stratusfaction and gets the pin.

Nikki Bella is the final competitor and she pounces on Mickie right away with a Bella Buster! Mickie kicks out! Nikki goes for the TKO but AJ Lee gets on the apron for a distraction. Tamina comes out of nowhere with a Superkick but Brie Bella jumps in the way, sacrificing herself for her sister! Mickie and Nikki dropkick Tamina from the ring and then Nikki Bella ducks a kick and rolls James up for the 3 count!
Result- Nikki Bella wins. (12:32)
We get a recap of The Ascension's debut last week as well as their bone chilling warning to Cody Rhodes and Goldust. Konnor and Viktor make their way to the ring for tag team action.
The Ascension vs. Los Matadores w/El Torito
Konnor viciously tosses Diego over the ropes and into the barricade! Fall of Man to Fernando! 1-2-3!
Result- Konnor pins Fernando via Fall of Man. (00:35)
El Torito gets in the ring to check on Fernando but The Ascension attack the little guy and hit The Fall of Man to him as well!
We see a video package of John Cena training for the Elimination Chamber. He says this is the most barbaric and painful match he's ever been in and if he wants to main event Wrestlemania, he has a tall task ahead of him. Cena talks about his five opponents at No Way Out and while he has the most experience inside the Chamber, he's not taking anyone lightly.
It's time for The Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho. He welcomes WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston to the show and says last week they suffered a loss against The Shield when Seth Rollins pinned Big E. Fans have been pointing to the fact that Jericho didn't break up the pin but Y2J assures Big E that he had the best of intentions, it's just that The Shield is a different beast entirely. They don't stop fighting and when Jericho saw Big E get hit with Dirty Deeds and the Curb Stomp, he knew their night was over.
Big E snatches the microphone and says being champion means there's a target on his back. He doesn't buy Jericho's explanation and he won't make the mistake of trusting him again. Jericho turns a bit nasty, showing his true colours, and says young ignorant up and comers like Big E make him sick. Y2J is a legend in this business and is respected industry wide.
Jericho was hoping to put this little miscommunication behind them but now he see's that Langston's ego is just as big as his muscles.
SIERRA. HOTEL. INDIA. ECHO. LIMA. DELTA. SHIELD
United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns come through the crowd as Big E prepares for a fight. Rollins has a microphone and tells Big E that next week he's taking the Intercontinental Title. As for this week, they want a pound of flesh. The Shield surround the ring like hyenas ---- JERICHO SMASHES BIG E IN THE BACK WITH A STOOL! Y2J dashes out of the ring and heads up the ramp with a big shit eating grin as The Shield pounce on Big E.
BROOKLYN! BROOKLYN! IT'S CRYME TYME!
Shad Gaspard has returned to the WWE alongside his partner JTG! Shad boots Jericho in the head for good measure as Cryme Tyme charge the ring! Big E has some back up; he and Cryme Tyme send Roman from the ring, followed by Ambrose! Shad lifts Rollins up on his shoulders but Ambrose and Reigns pull Seth to safety and retreat through the crowd. Big E holds up the Intercontinental Title and poses with Shad and JTG much to the fans excitement.
John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust vs. The Wyatt Family
Goldust and Cody attack Luke Harper and Erick Rowan before the bell rings and brawl all over ringside! Cena and Wyatt to face off in the middle of the ring. Cena with a snap suplex on Wyatt but Bray kicks out at 1 and does his spider walk! Cena is freaked out and backs into the corner to rethink his game plan. Bray clobbers Cena and makes the tag to Harper after things settle down on the outside. Harper and Rowan make quick tags and isolate Cena but they go to well one too many times --- Cena with a double DDT to take both monsters down!
Cena tags in Cody Rhodes! Cody runs wild --- Alabama Slam to Harper! Disaster Kick to Rowan! Wyatt tags in and cuts off Cody's momentum with a nasty uppercut. Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail but Cody hits a neckbreaker and kips up! He's fired up babeh! Tag to Goldust. Wyatt charges at Goldust --- right into a lightning quick powerslam! Back in the ring we get a chaotic rush of attacks to close out the match; Erick Rowan flattens Goldust but gets hit with a Cross Rhodes! Wyatt clubs Cody from behind and hits a Sister Abigail. Cena scoops Wyatt up for an AA but eats a boot by Harper. Wyatt knocks Cena out of the ring as Harper drops Goldust with a brutal Lariat! 1-2-3! The Wyatt Family win.

We see a video of The Real Americans and Zeb Colter challenging Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to a tag team match next week on RAW after the Swampmen ruined Cesaro and Jack Swagger's title opportunity last week.
Josh Matthews is backstage with Hunico and Camacho. They talk about their beef with Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara --- Hunico is now calling himself the mask collector. He promises to be the nail in the coffin of Mysterio's career and anyone who gets in his way will be dealt with accordingly.
Daniel Bryan is taping his wrists backstage ahead of the main event. William Regal enters and greets his former protege but Bryan is laser focused on kicking someone's head and tells Regal they can catch up later. Regal wishes Bryan good luck out there and pats him on the back as The American Dragon heads for the ring.
Main Event- Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett
Randy Orton appears on the titantron to give Bryan the BAD NEWS. This starts Barrett's loose association with The Authority from here on out. Barrett was in a tough place, facing a suspension after attacking a referee, when The Authority offered to forget about it and help him back into title contention. His first opportunity is a big main event against Bryan.
These two men share quite a bit of history with NXT and The Nexus just a few years back. The match begins with them exchanging stiff elbows and uppercuts in the middle of the ring. Bryan with some stiff chest kicks until Barrett catches a breather with a short arm clothesline. Barrett stomps Bryan in the corner, choking him viciously. The ref pulls him off so Barrett whips Bryan across the ring --- Bryan moonsaults off the turnbuckle, lands on his feet, and hits a big head kick! He takes a turn stomping Barrett, chokes him in the corner, and yells at the referee that he has "UNTIL FIVE!" The Yes Movement is in full effect as Bryan charges up for the Busaiku Knee but Barrett hits The Winds of Change! 1-2-Bryan kicks out. Barrett is pissed. He traps Bryan in the corner and hits a barrage of knees to the ribs and head. Barrett tries for a superplex but Bryan reverses into a Guillotine Choke on the ropes! The referee tries again for Bryan to break the hold but The American Dragon uses every bit of his 5 second count.
Barrett falls out of the ring so Bryan runs and leaps off the apron! A knee right to Barrett's chin sends him flying over the barricade, into the front row! Bryan rolls in the ring to break the count and then goes out to get Barrett. Bad News shoves a fan at Bryan and then cheapshots him to gain control. Barrett throws Bryan into the ring and goes for the Bullhammer but Bryan ducks and hits a bridging German! 1-2-NO!
William Regal appears on the stage and slowly walks down to the ring. Bryan and Barrett exchange strikes until Bryan locks in the YES LOCK! Barrett is screaming in pain and manages to crawl to the ropes; again Bryan waits until 5 to break the hold. The referee argues with Bryan as we see Regal slide something into Barrett's elbow pad! Bryan charges up for the Busaiku Knee again but this time Regal gets on the apron for the momentary distraction ---- BARRETT TAKES BRYAN'S HEAD OFF WITH A BULLHAMMER! BRYAN IS OUT COLD! BARRETT DROPS AN ARM OVER HIM! 1-2-3!
Result- Bad News Barrett wins by pinfall via Bullhammer with a loaded elbow pad. (16:32)
William Regal helps Barrett to his feet to celebrate this momentous win. Bryan is still unconscious as Regal steps over his body with a bittersweet look on his face. The announcers wonder why on earth Regal has seemingly struck a deal with The Authority as RAW goes off the air with Bryan being checked on by officials.

I have a RTX 2070 Super and i7-10875H 16GB of ram ALL drivers are up to date, windows 11 latest build with all updates done. This laptop has been pretty good for gaming but for 2 weeks or so I've been getting extremely low performances from the games I was playing without any problems. I've always been careful to use fans to prevent overheating and was careful to not damage pc in any way. I've been playing all sorts of games to test this low performance issue and literally all games have some performance issues at the moment. tests were done while nothing but the game is open. Games I've test with almost all the graphics options:
Baldur's Gate 3: was able to play 110-130fp without drops not 70-50 with a lot of drops. World of Warcraft: was able to play over 180fps without drops before now its 100fps and drops to 50 a lot. Minecraft: was able to play with over 150fps without drops now around 110 and drops to 80 a lot. Valheim: was able to play with 120fps without drops now around 70 with drops.
many games follow the same trend. I don't know how to diagnose what's wrong with my pc and im looking for solutions. please give ideas ill test and maybe we can fix this.

2024.06.09 16:57 dzelectron I hate Dark Souls (stuck at Artorias ramble)

Lot's of whining of somebody, who couldn't gitgud.
For the longest time I feared trying souls games as I never particularly enjoyed extra challenging games. I am getting frustrated and burned out really fast and I'm not much of a sucker for the feeling of accomplishment in games (so when I beat a boss I'm more glad that I'm getting to progress further, than that I overcame some challenge).
This year, I've got a PS5, and with it decided it is time to try Bloodborne. It's cheap, so no biggie if I didn't like it. And boy, this game got me freaking hooked up! I haven't experienced such thrill and thirst for a game, probably, for the last ten years. It was difficult at first, of course, and frustrating at times, but the aesthetics, the flow, the dance with trick weapons and their unique movesets, the lovecraftian setting - simply everything was clicking, everything was right. "Sweet blood - it sings to me..."
So, as you can guess, I've platinumed it (yes, with all the chalice dungeons slog), made a few playthroughs with different builds, and still have a few ideas for builds to try in the future. At the moment, I've logged 270 hours in it.
I decided I need to take a break and delve into the rest of From's action rpg's. So I've started with Demon's Souls remake. It was... a humbling experience. The game has a lot of really cool things going on, but the gameplay is just so slow and unforgiving, you can't really play aggressive, or you'll get your ass handed to you. My feelings towards the end were really mixed, I found myself more anticipating when will it finally end, than enjoying the ride. But - I've made it, completed the game, didn't go for platinum, decided that maybe some other time, as I felt more releaved that it ended, than thrilled for the experience.
So now we arrive to Dark Souls. And I guess, you know, where it's going. I feel like this game is a manifestation of what cenobites in Hellriser universe were doing. It's simultaneously enchanting, intruguing, attracting - and straight up infuriating, depressing, and soul-sucking. I simply can not stand how slow everything is. Or, rather, how slow my character is. I play at the <25% equip load - but it steel feels heavy and cumbersome. Healing takes forever, casting takes forever, running is slow, attacks eat stamina like rats, everything stuns and knocks you down, recovering from knockdown is PAINFULLY slow. And, a cherry on top - there are no fricking diagonal rolls. Also, the iframes feel inconsistent, i basically can't roll into an attack. The hopback is too short to be usable in most situations. In this game I don't feel like a chosen undead, I feel like a fifth-grader put against team of wrestlers. Like I have one arm tied behind my back, and the other has a few lbs weight attached to it.
I've played for around 80 hours now, got to DLC, and stuck at Artorias. I simply can't take it anymore. It's not enjoyable at all, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I have easy loadup, long-reach weapon with high enough damage, 30 vit + ring that gives +20% to vit, stamina, and encumbrance. And still - I am more praying to rng, than rely on any sort of skill - it just feels that the only way to beat him - is to got lucky. Because I can't reliably dodge his attacks, I can't reliably heal at ANY time other then when he's buffing himself, and I die from two hits.
I understand, that I simply don't enjoy this. The worst part is, I can easily see myself enjoying both the game and this particular fight, if only I was slightly faster, could roll into the enemie's side, and could reliably heal at least after some of his attacks. The boss is great, the athmosphere is terrific, but I'm playing a piece of wood, that completely destroys any fun and sucks enjoyment out of the whole experience.
Maybe I will vent off and get back to it, but at this point it feels more like a chore, than any sort of activity people participate in for fun.

I just finished Jedi survivor and figured I would share my thoughts even though I’m not gonna be breaking any new ground.
The good: combat looks and feels amazing, like the first game, but the parry timing seems to be a bit different. It seem to want earlier parries than before. After getting the hang of it, your force powers, and honing your stances and perks you actually DO feel like a Jedi. When I was at the ISB base I was roleplaying so hard. Slowly walking through those familiar cold imperial corridors just hacking, throwing, mind controlling, blasting, swashbuckling away while the emergency alarms go off. It was genuinely like being INSIDE of the movies. I pictured obi and qui gon carving their way through, obi wan fighting Vader etc. genuinely of the most BADASS feelings I’ve gotten from a game and I’ve been playing games since doom was on a floppy disc. The child inside me was giddy with joy that I get to live my fantasy of being a Jedi. The sounds of the sabers being drawn and stowed, the sound of connecting and slicing, the blaster noises, the clack of stormtrooper armor. It was spot on just like the original fallen order and it’s a joy to see, hear, and experience. Exploration is great too, but not as good as fallen order. The movement is more or less the same but with some new things that to be honest, are a nice addition but add some…..jank to it.
The bad (just my opinion, please don’t force choke me):
Bode. He sucks as a main villain in my opinion. I think the story would have been MASSIVELY better if they made bode a side villain like Rayvis. I found Dagan MUCH more interesting than bode. Plus I’m gonna be honest, I called it from the moment we were on couruscant, that betrayal was beating you over the head with foreshadowing at every turn. What’s more interesting? Ancient Jedi bent on creating a utopia turning to the dark side due to past perceived betrayals of the council? Or a dad who is v scared of the empire now and so he works for them doing the things that made him scared of them in the first place. Leaving his daughter unattended on a planet he’s never been to in an ancient ruin only to almost kill her twice due to his anger at cal. Bad dad. Also I think it’s BS how cal didn’t sense him as a force user or at least SOMETHING. Jedi have been known to sense friends in trouble from like thousands of light years away. Then this wide boi pops out a red saber like wtf this is a surprise in a bad way.
The technical issues, oh wow this game is CRUSTY sometimes. When it works it’s amazing and a great example of what good games can be. When it’s bad…..woah is it bad, a big example of why games need to bake longer. The amount of glitches I’ve had on this one playthrough has prolly turned me off playing it again ever. Maybe that’s a lie but prolly at least no replays for a long time. I’ve had the game refuse to let me use the blaster button, refuse to let me jump, I’ve had cal get stuck on geometry a TON due to the air dash, I’ve had to restart many times due to enemies not spawning, force abilities just not working. Enemies beating the hell out of me all while Tposing. I’ve lost whole hours of this game due to glitches 4 times. Pop in happens a lot, the way this game does offscreen culling is really bad, it’s visible a lot. T poses galore, invincible enemies, enemies being stuck underground. Calzone just REFUSING to run on a runnable wall and then finally running the opposite way I needed him to. It needs work that will never be done unfortunately.
Aside from glitches, wow this game throws a buttload of enemies at you. You have a ton of options for dealing with them BUT some combos of enemies just eat your lunch. 2 Upgraded probe droids, 2 football player droids, and 2 of those security droids that love to grab and wow, that was so freaking hard. No mind control bc robot, slam doesn’t work for long enough. It was hard. Doable but hard. Some of the enemies have some really bs attacks with insane tracking, I still cannot for the life of me dodge droids charge shots. (I know, git gud, I did I promise.)
Exploration, it’s great but I would have liked smaller maps on more planets as opposed to one massive map on one planet. Three Jedha sized maps I think would have worked better. I was so sick of Koboh by the end.
Overall I think this game is pretty enough to look at, and fun enough to play, that the bad evens out with the good. It’s a great game covered in some crust, and if you can get past the crust it’s a fun time to be had.
Honorable mention:
Skoova stev. I’m upset that I like a character so much that’s essentially an Adam Sandler joke.
Turgle, actually liked this dude, he was funny af.
The whole cantina, it was awesome. Nailed the feel perfectly.
Blaster and cross guard: if these aren’t in another Jedi game I’m gonna be upset. The level of depth the blaster adds is so much fun, I was the space Arizona ranger with the big iron on his hip, and the cross guard is so freaking cool. I roll STR build normally so a big ass green lightsaber brings a tear to my eye in the best, most joyfully nerdy way.

2024.06.09 16:55 Bho45 DLC Preparations: should we expect a Sif moment?

I'll be playing the DLC on NG, so I'm preparing a new save file in order to be ready for it, and I'm wondering how "far" should I get my new character, because I'm afraid of any potential unannounced Sif Moment™ that they may have put in the base game.
We know for a fact that the only requirements to access the DLC are to kill Mohg and Radahn, and that it's advised to be lvl ~150. Fromsoft has also stated that the DLC will be self contained, specifying that they mean that it won't unlock new endings.
Given what we know of the contents/subjects of the DLC, it seems highly unlikely to me that characters such as Malenia won't have any new dialogue or changes to their intro cutscene; so for example, I'll avoid the Halig Tree completely until I've finished the DLC.
Do you guys have any paranoid advice to give (such as other places/quests/NPC interactions to avoid)? Keep in mind that I'll still try to complete as much of the rest of the base game content as possible, in order to have the most options at my disposal in terms of build when the DLC is here.

Did the build yesterday, took quite a while to finish. I live in Ireland so I ordered everything from amazon Germany. I have been watching PC build videos for years now and I think that did help me out. Couple of things that I noticed and want to share: - Try to get opinions from other people, my build is completely different from how it started. I got most of my help from reddit and Ltt forums. - Always consider shipping price, for me Amazon added it at the end during checkout and that was a surprise. - It's better to bios update before building (flashback if your board allows) especially for AM5 builds cause I have seen a lot of people running into issues on multiple subs. - You will never find a component where people haven't run into issues. Buy components that fits your budget, research and pray that nothing goes wrong. - Read the motherboard manual. Don't just follow random YouTube build guides. Use those guides as supplementary help but read the manual. - PSU cables are really tight, I saw YouTubers yanking them out easily all the time but in reality you need to go slow and wiggle it out carefully. - GPU sag is real, use anything at all to help your GPU. I used a piece of wood. It ain't pretty but it does the job. - Try to test boot your system before putting it in the case. Saves you a lot of time. - New cases have tight screws, I spent a lot of time figuring out if the screws were right but they will be.
I would also like your suggestions on my build, here's the parts: Mobo: Asrock B650M-HDV/M.2 CPU: Ryzen 5 7600 RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance CL36 GPU: XFX Speedster Qick319 RX7800XT Case: Fractal Focus 2 I plan on getting a thermalright peerless assassin 120, a wifi card, and another case fan later. Also I might tidy up the cable management a bit more, it's just that I was tired after 3 hours of this build. My Mobo has no RGB header so I went with non RGB components. Only downside is that I have a lot of RGB cables dangling from case fans and I might lose 10FPS because of no RGB but I can live with that.

Hello guys, Im a moderator in this sub and I port mods fairly regularly for the XBox crowd. I created a mod focusing on realism and I wanted to share it with you as well. I like to use it with some mods that you guys unfortunately dont have for the full experience, but you still can use without them. It's almost done, but will receive pontual updates from time to time.
Bethesda.net Realistic Fallout 2.0. - Immersive Edition [PS] Mod
RECCOMENDED PLACEMENT:

Bottom of the Load Order.

"Realistic Fallout" is a collection of hundreds of changes to Fallout 4 aiming at increasing the realism while retaining the fun aspect. No changes made here should compromise your enjoyment of the game nor are its features overcomplicated. This mod, however, was unapologetically created for players that value immersion.
I've scoured all (ALL) 160 pages of the "immersion" and "gameplay" categories of mods on Nexus to draw inspiration for this mod. My criteria was simplicity and near perfect compatibility. There are no added scripts or new assets in this file, everything was made editing the game's parameters on Creation Kit directly and slotted in a single ".esp" file.
I tried to keep out tweaks that could override other configurations players usually employ. I also avoided edits that could be considered divisive, so most people can enjoy this mod and add new things without worrying too much.
"Realistic Fallout" was made to compliment the mod "Advanced Needs 76" , but can be used without it (I'm not sure if it exists on Playstation, unfortunately).
I also advise using mods that make the loot and items placed in the world scarcer, for the full, intended experience.

Features

Difficulty Settings:
Player damage dealt to enemies is set to 1x in "Hard" and "Very Hard" difficulties to avoid bullet sponginess. Enemy damage dealt to the player is left like in vanilla across all difficulties. Survival Mode is left entirely vanilla.
Time Scale:
Utilized the popular "6 to 1" time scale (1 minute in real life is 6 minutes in-game, unlike in vanilla where 1 minute in real life is 20 minutes in-game). Fast Travel speed was adjusted to compensate for the slower passage of time.
Healing and Chems:
  • Unnatended broken limbs will start healing in 2 in-game days, and will be fully healed after 5 in-game days (adjusted for this mod's time scale). Sleeping still heals limbs, however, healing from sleep can be turned off or set to partial healing if using "Advanced Needs 76".
  • Stimpaks and Radaway heal overtime (10 seconds for full effect).
  • One Stimpak only heals up to 25% of a damaged limb's health and the healing process also happens overtime.
  • Chems that fortify damage only work on melee weapons and fists.
  • Added "chemist" perk requirement to craft stimpaks, radaways and chems. Level requirement vary according to the buff. Added "robotics expert" lvl 01 requirement to build "robot repair kit".
  • Molerat Disease: you get a crippling debuff of -40hp, but it only lasts for 10 days. This retains the moral implications of the Vault 81 questline and is realistic (a child wouldn't survive for long), but doesn't punish too harshly players that decide to follow a virtuous path.
Lockpicking:
  • The lockpicking sweet spot is reduced to make the minigame more of a challenge. Bobby pins aren't too brittle so the challenge is fair.
  • Locks won't tell you the level of the lock anymore.
Food, Cooking, Foraging, Hunting and Farming:
  • All foods that require dirty water now cost purified water instead*;
  • All foods that require heat cost 1 wood on top of the other ingredients;*
  • Purified Water recipe is now 1 dirty water and 1 wood*;
  • All crops require 1 fertilizer to be planted (a bag of fertilizer can be scrapped for 4);*
* Wood and Fertilizer must be manually scrapped from objects in settlements to be able to be used for cooking and planting. This is to avoid automatic scrapping of objects you dont want to destroy, and is more immersive.
  • Creatures give food and parts based in their size, a fraction of the loot's quantity is randomized to keep hunting interesting.
  • Creatures don't drop nonsensical loot such as caps, ammo, guns and armor.
  • All plants yield a random number of produce based on their 3d models in the game.
  • Wild crops found during exploration can be planted at settlements.
  • All sealed, prewar industrialized foods have their rad effects removed (except Nuka Colas);
  • Removed healing effects from food. Now food is only used for sustenance and for its secondary buffs (note: health will still "increase" when the food has a "fortify health" buff);
  • Bubblegum gives a temporary +1 charisma buff (sweet breath)
  • Mystery Bacon and Mystery Jerky now increase hp temporarily according to your cannibal perk level (lvl 1 = 10hp for 1min, lvl 2 = 15hp for 2 mins, lvl 3 = 20 hp for 3 mins).
Carry Weight and Power Armor:
  • The weight of most junk and misc items have been revised. Hundreds of objects have had their weights adjusted to resemble real life more closely while still being adequate for gameplay purposes. In general this means 90% of the junk you find will be 2 to 4 times lighter than in the base game (weapons and armor are unnafected).
  • Base carry weight is reduced to 60, and CW per strength level is decreased to 5 points per level. You gain no extra carry weight at level up besides the points you get from investing in strength. This balancing aims to simulate real life more closely (a fit adult that is able to carry 60 to 105 pounds), but should be balanced for gameplay purposes. It is highly advisable to use a backpack mod, since these usually adds CW in a range of 40 to 60 pounds. **
  • Power Armor has a base bonus of 200 carry weight to compensate for the carry weight debuff. You still can't wear backpacks in power armor, but this won't be an issue since you'll have 60 + 200 + 55 from the strength buff PA gets, which is roughly 315 carry weight.
Ammo prices:
Ammo prices are increased across the board. I tried applying some logic into it while retaining a balance for gameplay purposes. This is meant for games where ammo is rare and very expensive. Guns have vanilla prices because in the post-apocalypse they would be lying around, but ammo is increasingly scarcer.
I believe I covered all ammo in the game except for the "Contraptions" stuff and whatever Creation Club and the next gen patch might have introduced. These may come later. Contrary to popular belief I never actually finished Fallout 4 so there are tons of things I never witnessed in the game.
Here are some examples of prices per round from the top of my head (the prices CK uses take in consideration a character with charisma 10 if I'm not mistaken. Your actual prices in game will be higher):
.38 = 10 caps 10mm = 20 caps Energy / Cryo = 25 caps Shotgun Shells = 30 caps Rifle Shells = 30 caps Syringer = 20 caps Alien = very expensive (don't recall, probably 300 or 500) Automatics = around 12 or 13 caps (cheaper than most regular rounds) Fusion Cores = 500 caps (yeah...)
Crafting:
  • All turrets have "Scrapper" lvl 1 as a base requirement;
  • All generators, powered water pumps and water purifiers now have "Scrapper" lvl 1 as a base requirement, and more advanced models have "Science" perk requirements. Component requirements have been slightly increased;
  • The regular water pump still has vanilla costs and doesn't require "Scrapper" lvl 1, so you can help Sturges out easily;
  • The Decontamination Arch now requires "Science" lvl 2, "Medic" lvl 2, "Scrapper" lvl 2 and the component requirements have been slightly increased;
  • Fusion Cores can be recharged at Chemlabs using 150 fusion cells and perk "Science" lvl 1. Make sure you only have one fusion core in your inventory at the time or the chemlab will recharge a random fusion core from your inventory (you can't choose which).
  • All poisons (syringer ammo) require "chemist" lvl 01 to be crafted.
  • Workbench crafting requires specific perks and are no longer tied to "Local Leader" 2. Changes are as follows:
-"Armorer " 1 for armor and PA benches; -"Gun Nut" 1 for weapons workbenches; -"Chemist" 1 for chem workbenches; -"Robotics Exp" 1 for robot workbench.

Things this mod doesn't do

This mod focuses on implementing changes for:
gameplay settings misc items junk items ammo recipes specific leveled lists for flora and fauna.
  • I will not implement changes that relies on external assets or scripts.
  • I will most likely dont do edits to movement speed and enemy AI since these could conflict with combat overhauls.
  • I will not edit records that tweak weapons and armors, since these are often handled by other overhauls, which could end up being overwritten by my mod. Compatibility is a central concern in RF2.

2024.06.09 16:46 Battlesmith707 Dispossessed Homebrew Archetypes: Warden Prince, Cogsmith, Ranger, Alms Matron

So, having created my Runesmith Archetype as well as a Khazalid Runework mechanic, I'm going to build four more archetypes, each representing an aspect of Duardin society. It is strongly encouraged that you check out my Runesmith archetype, because at least two of these archetypes start with runes.
First we have the Warden Prince - a frontline fighter who also has some room to dabble in leadership or diplomacy skills.
Then there's the Cogsmith - a character with high crafting who is primarily focused on ranged damage using black powder weaponry, but also gets bonuses when operating war machines or artillery.
After that is the Ranger - a versatile class that specializes in stealth and ranged combat, but also has the tools needed to be a decent frontline fighter in a pinch.
Lastly there is the Alms Matron. The Alms Matron is a name I pulled from a novel called Chronicles of the Wanderer. From what I gather they're basically the Priestesses of Valaya. The Alms Matron is primarily a support class who can use Miracles - I've taken a bunch of thematic miracles from Alarielle, Grimnir, and Grungni, and reflavoured them around Valaya. She also has access to a number of skills and talents that may serve the party outside of combat.
All-in-all I feel like I've laid the groundwork to have a relatively balanced well-rounded party consisting of nothing but Dispossessed.
WARDEN PRINCE
Warden Kings are the rulers of the Dispossessed Clans, and like most Kings, they require heirs. A Warden Prince is the son of a Warden King. From a young age they are trained to fight and to lead, with the expectation that their father shall not live forever. However only one of these children - the eldest son - can take their father's throne. Which then raises the question of what the remainder will do. Some serve the new King as generals and advisors, while others are married off to prominent figures within the clan, or to different clans entirely.
Others become Soulbound.
Many young Dispossessed Princes (and Princesses) who find themselves low in the line of succession leap at the chance to join a Binding. It is an opportunity to earn glory for themselves and their clan without forever remaining in the shadow of their older siblings, and it is also a respectable way to avoid being assigned an unwanted marriage. It also provides a chance to travel the Mortal Realms and potentially even explore the lost Karaks - many Soulbound Warden Princes dream of the day they can say they were the first to set foot in their clan's ancestral home in over five centuries.
A Warden Prince is a trained and well-equipped fighter, who due to the length of Duardin lifespans may already have decades of experience under their belt. Not only can they fight, but they can also lead - having been raised with the expectation that they will play a commanding role in either the court or the armies of their father or one of their brothers. It is possible that a Warden Prince may even have experience leading Throngs into battle. Beyond that, Warden Princes are also royalty, which may prove to be a boon when interacting with the aristocracy of other factions. Thus they are a welcome addition to any Binding of Order.
While travelling with the Binding, a Warden Prince may insist that they explore any lost Karaks they discover if it does not interfere with the Binding's other obligations. The Prince may wish to either scout them out for possible reclamation, or recover lost treasures. The Prince may appear enthusiastic about this at first, but once they finally walk the empty halls they may find themselves becoming depressed, melancholy, or even angry as they are struck by the full reality of their people's fall from glory.

The map is a copy of a more ancient work, dated during the height of the Khazalid Empire. It may have other landmarks on it as well (such as Realmgates) but it dates back to the Age of Myth and therefore may be unreliable. The map is neatly folded and stored in a well-crafted airtight case of wood and metal.
  • 50 Drops of Aqua Ghyranis.
COGSMITH
The Ironweld Arsenal - the great union of Duardin and Human Engineering. As Engineers of the Ironweld Arsenal, Cogsmiths are vital to the Cities of Sigmar war machine. Working closely with their human counterparts, they design, build, maintain, and repair the machinery, vehicles, artillery, and firearms wielded by Sigmar's mortal armies.
It is perhaps little surprise then that many Cogsmiths are happy to become Soulbound. An extended lifespan aside and ample opportunity to test out their new inventions aside, they are also well-accustomed to working alongside and learning from other Order factions. The Cogsmiths for their part bring a lot to the table - they are expert tinkerers, able to help repair and even improve the weapons of their Binding. They are well-versed in war machines and vehicles, able to get more out of them than most. A Cogsmith is also a formidable combatant in their own right, possessing experience with a wide array of firearms and war marchines.

Ironweld Engineer
You are a member in good standing of the Ironweld Arsenal. Whenever you are operating a war machine, a vehicle, or a weapon mounted on a vehicle, and you are required to make a Ballistics Skill, you may choose to either gain double dice from your Training in Ballistics Skill or substitute your Crafting Skill instead - whichever one is more likely to yield a better result.
In addition to this, as an Endeavour and with 50D worth of crafting materials you can spend one week tinkering with a handheld non-Aetheric firearm to improve it. With three attempts, if you pass an Extended Crafting Test of DN 5:8, you may apply one of the following upgrades:
  • Improved Sights: When using this firearm, the wielder's accuracy increases by one step.
  • Longer Barrel: The firearm's range is extended by one zone.
  • Double Barrel: The firearm now has a second barrel. When you make an attack with this weapon, you may either treat it as a dual-wielding attack and split your dice pool, or as a single attack that does 2 extra damage. Unfortunately, whatever weapon you apply this to also gains the Reload trait if it does not have it already.
  • Armour-Piercing: The firearm gains the Penetrating Trait.
  • Armour-Breaking: The firearm gains the Rend Trait.
Only two of these upgrades may be active on a weapon at a time. They are not permanent and can be changed.
DISPOSSESSED RANGER
When asked to describe the natural gifts of the Duardin, few would ever think to list stealth as one of them. But it is - if they put their mind to it. Rangers fulfill a vital niche in Duardin armies - that of scouts, skirmishers, infiltrators, and sharpshooters. In the days of the Khazalid Empire, it was the rangers who kept borders clear of Monsters, Greenskins, and Beastmen. It was the rangers who would not only warn settlements of incoming attack, but also harry and harass the foe by any means necessary while the Throngs were mustered. Even today long after the Khazalid Empire's fall, the Dispossessed Clans have find use for rangers. Indeed, it was the rangers who weathered the Fall the easiest, for they were accustomed to wandering without a home.
The life of a Ranger is that of a wanderer and outcast - spending weeks or even months traversing the wilds, and camping under the open stars. The only Duardin who would voluntarily seek out this life are either outcasts or free-spirits, independently-minded with a strong sense of wanderlust. It is a thankless job - their greatest deeds are committed far from any settlement or army, and therefore go unwitnessed. Most Duardin find their lifestyle and tactics disturbing, and thus, treat them with (usually unwaranted) suspicion.
It is little wonder then that a Ranger would be eager to become Soulbound. As a Soulbound, they are more likely to be working with people who have fewer qualms about their tactics, and may even appreciate their skillset. They can spend greater periods of time travelling, being deployed throughout the Mortal Realms in direct service to a higher power, with no obligation of a clan to return to. It is also possible that the Ranger may have a Criminal past they are attempting to escape from. Members of a Binding may also find a Ranger's company preferable to that of other Duardin, for Rangers tend to be less hidebound than most of their Dispossessed kin, while still retaining a strong sense of duty and integrity.

Ranger Cloak
This hooded cloak is dyed to blend in with the environment. Choose one of the Terrain types listed in the Hunter Talent (it does not need to be the same one you picked as part of the Talent.) While adventuring in this terrain, you can double the dice you receive from Training in Stealth. As a week-long Endeavour you can spend 50D to change the dye.
ALMS MATRON
Little is known about the Alms Matrons - also known as the Priestesses of Valaya, Duardin Ancestor Goddess of Hearth and Home. The birth rate of Duardin females was already low to begin with, and most Dispossessed Clans are fiercely protective of their women as a result. Even more confounding is the worship of the dead goddess Valaya. Despite all this, Priestesses of Valaya are an integral part of Dispossessed society - primarily serving as healers and mediators. They wield immense influence over the internal politics of their clans.
It is not impossible that, in less hidebound clans, Duardin of other genders may come to serve Valaya in the same capacity. But it would be regarded as unusual.
Valaya's fate remains a mystery. Some say she is dead, others say she is in hiding. Some say she died during the Great Betrayal, others say her death came long before that - possibly during the last days of the World-That-Was. Some say she will return, as the Fyreslayers believe Grimnir will, while others have given up any hope of this. In either case, it takes far more than the death of their God to make a Duardin abandon their faith.
Additional puzzlement comes in the fact that some Alms Matrons have been known to invoke Miracles of their goddess. Scholars can only speculate as to why this is - perhaps it is due to the power of their faith, or maybe Valaya does still exist in some form. Humans and Aelven scholars have also put forward the idea that perhaps Alarielle or Grungni are behind this.
It is exceedingly rare for an Alms Matron to become a Soulbound, primarily because it is difficult to convince a servant of Hearth and Home to leave both of those things behind. But it can happen, especially if there are other Duardin in the Binding or the Binding's goals align with the Clan's. Though not well-suited to direct combat, Alms Matrons can serve their Bindings in other useful ways - as healers, diplomats, scholars, and priests.

You can heal the wounds of another by taking on a portion of their suffering. A creature you touch can reduce the severity of one Wound. In exchange, you must take a Minor Wound or increase the severity of a Wound you already have.
Blessing of Valaya
Target: Zone
Range: Long
Duration: Permanent
You infuse the earth with the essence of life, causing plants in an area to grow and bloom. This can be used to bolster crops and revitalise a land tainted by Chaos. You can also choose to shape the growth into simple structures, such as growing winding roots and vines into a ladder or small bridge, or creating cover for you and your allies. In combat, these simple structures can form bridges between Zones, or can be used to give one Zone the Cover Trait
The plants and wildlife created by this Miracle are permanent but will decay naturally if left unattended in an inhospitable environment.
Wrath of the Hearthqueen
Cost: 1 Mettle
Target: Zone
Range: Medium
Duration: Sustained
You fill an area with uncomfortable searing heat, scalding and disorienting any who trespass there. Choose a Zone within Medium Range. That Zone gains the Difficult Terrain and Minor Hazard Traits. Additionally, creatures entering or starting their turn in the Zone must make a DN 6:1 Body (Might) Test or be Restrained until the start of their next turn. When you use this Miracle, you can choose to spend an additional Mettle to increase the Complexity of this Test by 1, to DN 6:2. On your turn, you can spend 1 Mettle as a Free Action to sustain this Miracle.
Heat of the Hearth
Target: Zone
Range: Self
Duration: Instant
A wave of heat washes over your zone, comforting your allies and scalding your foes. Make a 5:1 Soul (Devotion) test.
  • You and your allies within your zone recover one toughness per success.
  • Enemies within your zone suffer one damage per success.
You may spend a mettle to trigger both effets.
Find Strength in Her Absence
Target: 1
Range: Long
Duration: Sustained
Cost: 1 Mettle
Choose an allied target within long range. While the target has no allies in the same Zone, its Melee and Accuracy increase by two steps and it gains +2 Armour. If an ally enters the target’s Zone, this Miracle’s effect is suppressed until the ally leaves the Zone again. On your turn, you can spend 1 Mettle as a Free Action to sustain this Miracle.
Hearth Queen's Endurance
Target: Zone
Range: Self
Duration: Sustained
Make a DN 6:1 Soul (Devotion) Test. Whenever you or your allies within Short Range suffer Damage caused by fire or heat, reduce the Damage by 1 for each success. On your turn, you can spend 1 Mettle as a Free Action to sustain this Miracle.
Cauterise
Target: 1
Range: Close
Duration: Instant
Heat can be used as a tool of healing. Make a DN 4:1 Soul (Devotion) Test as you place a Holy Symbol of Valaya on a wounded ally. They recover Toughness equal to 1 plus the number of successes. When you use this Miracle, you can choose to spend a Mettle to add your Soul to the Toughness recovered.
Comforting Embers
Target: Allies within range
Range: Short
Duration: Sustained
Cost: 1 Mettle
You call forth a rain of glowing embers that fill your allies with warmth and encourage them to press on. When you use this Miracle, allies within range increase their Speed by one step and ignore Difficult Terrain until the beginning of your next turn, though they cannot Flee or Retreat until the Miracle ends. On your turn, you can spend 1 Mettle as a Free Action to sustain this Miracle.

This game has so much potential, even for something like an esports league. How do we get EA to take it seriously? Right now, the game is incomplete and buggy, among other issues. How can we come together as a community to at least get an update? We need features like voice or text chat in online games, a career mode that actually works, and an online format that makes sense without forcing us to play SIM for 14 hours if we don’t want to. 2024.06.09 16:39 neonheavenly Wow looking back, Remake really was wild. Let me explain...

One of my favorite pass-times is to watch streams from people who've never played any FF or FF7 Compilation, and they begin their journey with Remake.
It's interesting because we get Sephiroth visions so early on, and it's interesting how we have entire chapters, and long stretches between seeing him again.
Seeing a gameplay video and after the plate falls, Cloud sees sephiroth briefly but because it's been SO long since he's had a vision of him, it's cool to watch these people react and be reminded that he's acting as a looming shadow in this game.
It's also kind of wild to see people react to the plate-fall itself. It's such a devastating moment and was made better by the devs expanding midgar to make the build-up much longer, so player reactions are equally as devastated.
Then they learn about the Ancients from tseng and Elmyra and it's so cool to see the look of epiphany as they realize that there is a MUCH more grand and sinister narrative at play.
Lastly, finishing the game with the players getting a glimpse of Kalm after just battling, yet not officially defeating Sephiroth, and that there is an entire world to explore moving forward is so magical.
I won't bore anybody with how these new players react to Rebirth but they view it wide-eyed, and talk about how Remake was essentially just the intro to that massive narrative.

Hello world, I'm Ziana 34 summers young and Strong. 6'3 in height with an athletic build. A chiropractor during the day and a popular loner after work. I know a lot of people and a lot of people know me but that's just enough for a person like myself. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Hey alll! I’m mainly looking to find new gaming friends that share the same gaming interests if possible. And also just someone to get to know! I have all consoles and pc and i play alot of games. Ranging from retro to new! Emulators and roms are always fun to co-op with someone!
Current games i’m playing are Octopath Traveler 2, WWE 2k24 and Fortnite too (zero build). But i’ll play most anything! I am an achievement hunter and usually like to try to 100% games if i can. Some MMORPGs i’ve played are Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars The Old Republic, World of Warcraft. I haven’t played them in quite some time but would be willing to jump back in.
Also I love Tabletop Simulator on Steam! Literally any board game is on there so I definitely would play that.
Some VR games are Beat Saber, Walkabout Mini Golf, Demeo!
I could go on but that’s probably a good stopping point for games.
I’m married and have 2 kids, a 7 month old son and a 9 year old daughter. So definitely a platonic friendship if you’re female. I’m into basic nerdy things. Gaming is definitely my number 1 go to, star wars, super heroes, DnD, anything Disney. Also trading card games like Disney Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited
I watch Critical Role stuff especially Campaign 3 on youtube. Currently on episode 76, so if you watch too, let me know! Also like to watch Battle of the Brands on YouTube.
I’m also into movies and tv, some sports, pro wrestling. Collecting boardgames, action figures and retro games are hobbies as well. Anything 80s/90s nostalgia i absolutely love too so if you want to talk childhood memories and growing up back then, i’m totally down! I miss the good old days where we went to arcades, played outside with friends, and those family sunday dinners at the grandparents ❤️.
My kids are everything to me and I do love talking about them. Love being silly with them and spending time with them (when they aren’t driving me crazy lol)
I really would prefer you be around my age (late 20s a youngest) and also have kids just so we have that stuff in common off the bat!
I would also prefer you be from the US. It’s tough to converse when we are like a day apart lol.
I can be socially awkward most times but I am very easy to get along with and a great listener if you need to vent. I’m definitely considered an introvert. But once you get to know me I break out of that awkward shell.
Please have a fun personality because i like to be sarcastic and mostly like to try and make people laugh because a world without laughter would just be horrible.

I see people complain a lot about shot guns and water rats so here are my tips on how to exterminate them and send them back to the lobby.
Dealing with water rats
  1. NEVER enter the water without an FTAC or an AUTO pistol. Best advice, never enter the water unless you have no choice. Dieing underwater is a huge disadvantage.
  2. Stay away from the water by at least 10m, pistals can kill you from below the water even if your above it.
  3. If you see a water rat, throw stuns, and semtex's. This can kill them under the water.
  4. If you can get the high ground, like a roof, or bridge take it, because you can look down into the water and see them better allowing you to shoot them.
  5. ALWAYS pickup sentry guns. If you lay them out next to the water, they will shoot players under water. This is your time to revive (if you have a pistol) or get the kill from the sentry (happens more than they expect)
  6. Water rats will wait it out the entire game and usually don’t run alone and will use the infinite air glitch to stop you from picking up your friend the entire game, so if the game just started out or you have a lot of time don’t waste your time fighting them and giving them any more satisfaction. Simply go loot and build your teammate a 3 plate and find him/her a backpack. Come back and revive him later when it’s safe. Never give the water rats more kills and if they think you bailed on them, they will leave because most random teammates never pickup people killed in the water.

Dealing with 1 shot shotty’s
  1. Don’t follow them into stairwells or small buildings, wait outside on the floor nearby, or on the roof. Stay back at least 20m and throw two mines down at the door.
  2. If you must rush a stair well, bring flash and NEVER rush a stairwell alone. Sometimes there are more than one one shot rat in their, but its not often so two (or better all 3 of you) rushing together can easily finish them off, especially if you flash them.
  3. If you see a shotty on someone’s back, never chase them down into buildings, they are luring you in on purpose! 4) for the sake of everyone ALWAYS use OVERPRESSURED ammo. If you get the first bullet on them then their aim gets screwed up. 5) if they enter a building don’t forget that they have to EXIT that building somehow so waiting on the outside of the doors, throwing mines out and having your team split up safely at safe distances traps them inside. Then it’s just a waiting game, but remember the ones on the outside have the advantage don’t get killed thirsty. 6) If you ignore the rest of the advice then just remember to NEVER follow them into any small room, building, hallway or bathroom. And stay at least 15m away otherwise You will die, especially if they are good at aiming.

Looking for resources (texts, research papers, expert advice) on how to be more effective with my philanthropy.
Specifically, I'm currently funding infrastructure projects in a "developing" country where most of the region lacks formal education so the systems in place are substandard (ie: their drainage channels are open concrete sewer systems).
I've connected with a university in the US to set up a program to address issues in that community, and I am raising funds/leading the program.
Although I am experienced with construction standards and development in the US, I believe it's essential to understand the site-specific issues in order to develop sustainable/effective projects.
An example of this: the community loves basketball but it's prone to monsoons. Building an indoor court would be great, and I could cover the construction. But long-term maintenance for wood courts would be too expensive (not labor which is cheap, but quality materials like finishing that needs to be re-applied are too expensive.) So the best practice in these communities are outdoor covered concrete courts.
Without fully understanding the issues of the community, certain philanthropy efforts would be wasteful/not effective. However due to substandard practices of the region (eg: poor quality aggregate mix in the concrete), funding the community directly without oversight/direction also leads to less effective results.
With this context in mind, I am essentially looking for advice on how to navigate these issues appropriately and for any examples/case studies/research that I can look into in this space.
Here's what I have so far: 1. My own personal commitment to address issues in this community of 4,000 residents (1 square mile), at least 5-10 years. Eventually I want to establish an endowment to create sustainable future funding. 2. Ability to raise funds to complete the project(s). 3. Connection with universities to establish programs/classes where students can work to address these problems 4. Approval from the city council to work on projects (no red tape). 5. I've already completed a small project (covers for the open sewer system) and currently in process of constructing a farmer's market.
In my efforts to scale the contributions/impact,
Here are my concerns/questions: 1. How best to identify the most pressing needs/effective application of resources. 2. Case studies of similar programs and success stories or pitfalls. 3. Where can I search for any mentors in this space? 4. Any other general advice (I don't know what I don't know).
