2024.05.21 21:42 Shawn_Deville Questions on end game progression

To start off with, im not a noob of these style of games. I played the demo and was unimpressed and figured I would come back when it was a better product. Ive beat all the souls games, souls like games, team ninja games, etc.. so I promise, I dont need my questions broke down super simplistic lol. I finished ROTR twice and came over to Wo Long. I typically stick with the games to make the most OP build I can for myself, which is what Im trying to accomplish here.
Im pretty sure I am blitzing through the game a little too fast and am fairly underleveled and surviving based solely on build and a little bit of skill lol. I basically blitzed through the campaign and got the platinum trophy, then the 3 DLCs, and have been moving onto the newest difficulty as soon as it unlocks to improve builds. Currently, I am level 181 and I unlocked I believe Dragon King difficulty with 8* rarity gear and then beat the first mission to make sure I could do so. No issues there. I figure I will step into the TMJ once I get max rarity gear drops.
Question 1 is what is the highest rarity level you can get on gear? I have seen conflicting information on this being that 8* was the max and also that 9* gear was available. Also, if there is a higher level than 8*, whats the best method to obtain it?
Question 2, what is the highest level you can upgrade gear and weapons? I have picked up a few +11 items already. I tried googling this and seen answers of +20 but no good information on how to get from +11 to +20 which seems like a stretch. So if it is much higher, how do you continue to progress efficiently?
Question 3, have I been following an appropriate progression path? I mainly ask because the mission I just completed was 401 and i was 181 and that seems kind of crazy. I realize that i skipped a bunch of missions, and thus potential Qi leveling, by jumping to next difficulty immediately but I have not been dying regularly so Im not sure if this is normal for most people. If I am following the appropriate path, where should I go from here? My original plan was to farm to max rarity level in most slots with a solid build, then start TMJ to max out. Im just not sure if thats correct at this point lol.
Hopefully some of you fellow grindy veterans can point me in the right direction so i dont waste too much time regrinding the wrong shit for the wrong loot! Thanks to the community in advance.

2024.05.21 21:38 Quirky-blurky Facts about canada

Few facts about Canada from an American first Canadian second duel citizen.
Quick about me: I've lived in Canada most my life 22 years, and in the U.S. 11 years. I wish that were reversed anyways on with the show. First though I've asked way too many Canadians who their head of state is. If they know what that means at all they usually say Trudeau...... It's king Charles....yea not great, in fact the second in line is the governor general, prime minister is third. Onwards.
Canadas "constitution" if it can be called that technically isn't a legal document. Québec refused to sign it's ratification and to this day hasn't. That doesn't stop Québec from collecting equalisation payments of which Alberta pays the most. I like the fact that Québec is grifting the other provinces makes me smile. They could develop their resources and quickly become the wealthiest province but why not get welfare eh? And the language thing holy cow.......nuff said.
Which brings me to Alberta the wealthiest province overshadowing Ontario per capita. The weather there is by far the worse in the provinces (and I grew up in Winnipeg). We like to put Vancouver down due to the homelessness (worst I've ever seen) however Calgary and Edmonton have metro populations of 1.5 m each and the homeless issues have ballooned in recent years. It's to the point where it can be compared to places like Nashville TN, Tampa FL, and Atlanta GA, all of which are at least double the population where as ATL is quadruple. As car dependant a city I've ever seen, akin to LA. Calgary has become a mini Toronto and Edmonton a large Winnipeg.
Moving on to good ol' Winnipeg the asshole of Canada. Potholes, poverty, pessimistic, petty, predictable, and of course proud. It's like the old adage pride go before the fall, except in this case the fall came first. Winnipeg is isolated and has a Stockholm syndrome hovering over it's people. Being the only city in Manitoba, everyone flocks there from the small towns. Way too heavy on the sports, I'd imagine it's due to how little there is to do. Per capita Manitoba as a whole is statistically on par with Chicago in murder and violent crime rates (look it up). Winnipeg itself is up there with D.C. not great. It's so poor and corrupt the roads have crumbled and no one fixes them. It took like 3 years to put up the new "tallest tower" 300 main. For reference Toronto puts them up in half the time and twice the height. The tallest building in Omaha is 50 m taller, in Tulsa it's 60 m, 50 m in Des Moines, and 70 m in New Orleans. Not that that matters. Way over priced housing for where and what it is, and anything "affordable" is in areas akin to American ghettos. Lastly transit... Nuff said. Moving on.
The maritime provinces. They're poor, really poor, but mostly poorly treated by Ottawa, if they hadn't been so long they would've thrived much like Winnipeg would have without the coast to coast CN line. I digress, of all the places in Canada the maritimes are the friendliest, pretty on par with the stereotype of nice Canadians. There's nothing bad to say about this place. Moving on...
Saskatchewan would be good if not for the fuckin RCMP giving it a bad rap. Moving on...
Before we get into the meat I'll add a quick not about the territories. STOP IGNORING THE RESERVATIONS NEEDS FOR CLEAN WATER, AND LOWER THE FUCKIN PRICES UP THERE!!!. Next.
I'll start with Ontario the dirty asshole of Canada. Ottawa, Great little city ruined by over confident politicians walking around convinced they're better that you 🫵. The amount of investment into transit in and around the GTA from Montreal to Windsor is impressive and on the level of European countries. I don't see that kind of investment in the rest of Canada. Ontario is, was, and always will be, me first.... Fuck you. They literally stifle other provinces from becoming wealthier. Look at the bombardier contract as a perfect example. Carbon taxing Manitoba who has been green since before we all knew what that was. The actions against the trucker protest and all the scandals, that's all Ontario... Americans don't know much about Canada but they do know the "crack smoking mayor". What can I say. Toronto has been ruined by too much construction and lack of proper city planning. So over priced NYC is jealous. Next.
Last on the list we have the beautiful British Columbia. Right so, it is beautiful but the people are criminally rude. Vancouver is poised to be the best city in north America in all metrics, however they choose to follow Ottawa and now look at it. As I mentioned worst homeless issue I've seen including skid row in LA. The Okanagan is a bible thumping tax haven and stash for drug money and gang revenue. Despite these things and a few more I won't mention the lower mainland is a unique and interesting place. Good luck living there holy mackerel the prices..... Anyways O' Canada stop being what you are before you either dissolve and are annexed by the USA or get invaded by a modern version of the allied powers... Freezing bank accounts.... Whoa. Even D.C. isn't that tyrannical. Taking away legal gun owners guns. Whoa, while Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg's illegal gun seizures skyrocket. No free speech, which is the backbone of any democracy.
Don't get it twisted Canada you aren't a democracy you are a dominion of the U.K. an archaic monarchy. Have fun with all that eh!! America has it's issues some starker than yours that's not lost on me, but for now in 2024 it's a better place to live, not best, better. Good day ladies and gentleman.

2024.05.21 21:37 CasualObservations- L1 Exam

I’m nervous as to whether or not I passed. I studied probably no more than 200-250 hours, if that, and I didn’t go over the ethics material at all. But hear me out.
Took a look at the mock exam, but didn’t really sit down and actually attempt it properly, just skimmed through 2/3’s of the first 90 questions on LES. I did study the make-up of ethics questions for a solid 30 minutes, but this was all the night before the exam so I chose to allocate my time elsewhere, which ended up being a good investment decision.
I have a BBA in Psychology, but have worked at a BrokeDealer since 07/2022, and got my SIE, Series 7, Series 63 out of the way that year, first try. I listen to podcast and have always done additional research on the market/global and domestic economy. Still, a ton of new info in CFA program.
When studying, I didn’t study in preparation for the test. I didn’t really think about the test when studying at all. I just read through the material and tried to learn it the best I could in the way I saw most fit for myself.
I felt very unprepared for the Exam, I only skimmed through 2/3’s of the first 90 question mock, and didn’t read the ethics section at all.
When taking the exam, I felt like it was way easier than expected, and was honestly a little disappointed that it wasn’t harder. I don’t think I crushed it, but I feel there is a very low chance I got <70, feel more like my range is 75 But with how I felt coming into the test, having not slept the night before, only finishing all material (except ethics) just a couple days before, I feel like I could be overconfident or completely missing something. People tell me I’m incredibly smart, and I’ve heard from people who know me that they don’t think I need to study the full 300-350 hrs recommended, but they also don’t know how much shit is on there man, and I don’t think I’m a genius who can just beep boop bop retain everything. I have always been good at math though and do like Poker statistics/probabilities so the quant section was good for me and I made it my mission to understand all the mathematical formulas in the curriculum. This partially extends to ROE and decomposition of, but most other accounting formulas I forgot.
But I understand all underlying concepts well and felt I was able to figure quite a bit of stuff out mid exam.
I did flag the questions I was unsure of. Basically anything I wasn’t absolutely certain about. I didn’t get a chance to go back and look at all the ones I flagged, but if I had to guess, I’d say I ended with 30-40 flagged in part one and about the same for part two. I carefully read each question and was very thorough with each one. Sometimes I spent too long on a question because I was having fun figuring it out, and felt comfortable on many others leading up to that one, which is why I didn’t have time to go back.
Now, this is the fun part. I felt like I was completely unsure on no more than 1/5 of the ones I flagged. I didn’t know those at all. I have a 33% chance of getting those right. The other 4/5ths, I feel like I at least eliminated one answer choice, confidently, giving me at least a 50/50 chance of getting those question right. But out of that 4/5ths, I think at least 1/2, or 2/5ths of the questions I really had some knowledge that pointed me to the right answer out of the two choices I had left, after eliminating the prior. I think this gives me a bit above 50/50 odds, putting me at 67% chance (more or less for some, but ya know, hard to quantify and don’t want to oveunderestimate the advantage given by knowledge).
So, I did the math: a range of 60 unsure questions to 80 unsure (30part1+30part2, 40+40)
Lower Level (Wrong Answers): 60/5=12 1267%= 8 2450%= 12 24*33%= 8 28 wrong out of 180; Score: 84.44%
Upper Level (Wrong Answers): 80/5=16… Rounding up on all decimals 1667%= 11 3250%=16 32*33%=22 49 wrong out of 180, score 72.77%
I really don’t think I was unsure about 80 questions, but also, idk, because I hadn’t slept and had tunnel vision, and I was already worried, and I’m unfortunately and fortunately aware of all the biases I possess. Curse my psychology BBA. I know I just need to wait, but dang dude. I’m stressed.
Backstory on why I couldn’t study more:
I had to unexpectedly move in January because our apartment had black mold and other toxic molds resulting from lackluster apartment maintenance.
The management team was not willing to pay for our move and withheld funds from us that I figured we were entitled to, so I had to scan the state property code, cite it to them, act accordingly, etc. Ended up getting a lawyer. Still dealing with that.
Found out my brother-in-law was hitting my sisteniece during that time so had to deal with that (didn’t deal with him as I would’ve liked, no crimes committed). CPS called by someone else and then I was blamed by my sister who cut off communications with my family.
Found out my girlfriend of 20 months now has or had HPV and CIN3 cervical dysplasia, precancerous cells at the most severe stage before becoming cancerous, and a whole bunch of other scares around that.
Two family weddings to attend, both out of town. Cousins wedding was on May 3. My test was May 15th, 830 a.m.
Sister-in-law (I will be proposing to gf soon) Graduation to attend on May 10th in Washington DC. I live in Dallas, Texas. Flew out on the 9th, got back on the 12th.
Night of the test, I realized I needed my passport, which I hadn’t seen in months!!! Looked for it in my house, couldn’t find it. After studying an all nighter, left for my parents at 7-715am. Test at 830am. They live 20 minutes away. Testing facility 40 minutes with traffic from my parents. Found the passport, luckily, around 752am. Left. Took express lanes and went above the speed limit. Walked through the doors at 8:32am. Adrenaline flowing. Caffeine kicking. Took the test. Went full tunnel vision. But I really had a good time taking the test, I will say. I did almost piss myself in the last 15 minutes of part 1.

2024.05.21 21:35 Quirky-blurky Facts about Canada

2024.05.21 21:35 SlickWillie86 We’ve been misled. This is actually an elite lead guard draft!

Topic, Sheppard, Dillingham, Collier. All 4 of these guys will go lottery, possibly top 10. All 4 have some question marks, but that is priced into their draft position (maybe too much so). All 4 have immense upside and strong floors.
Topic - has elite size for a lead guard. Biggest question mark is the shot, but his FT%, youth and film give me a high level of confidence it becomes a weapon for him. He’s my #1 in this class.
Sheppard - best shooter in the draft and an elite BBIQ on both ends. Lacks elite size (if he was 6’5 he’d be #1 in this class and 1 or 2 in many drafts), but that’s priced in with him falling to 3 or 4. He would really shine next to a high usage wing, where his ability to play on/off the ball is even more valuable. ‘Create a player’ mold next to Cade or similar player.
Dillingham- a top bucket getter that puts a ton of pressure on the defense. Lacks the frame which requires thoughtful roster construction, but again, worth it at his draft position. His floor is a microwave bench scoring 6th man, which is better than the historical expected return on the 6th pick.
Collier- he’s really grown on me the more I’ve watched. Strong frame and game reminds me of an early NBA Donovan Mitchell. I’m least confident in his shot of the 4, but am confident his game takes off with NBA spacing.

2024.05.21 21:31 oliviermaximilian Help with hyperphase rules...

Fellow necron players... I recently started playing using the Hypercrypt detachement and really enjoying it. However, I realised I have been playing the hyperphase part wrong. So hoping to get some clarification on the topic.
  1. At the end of the opponents turn I can select my units to go into hyperphase aka place them in strategic reserves, even if its turn 1.
  2. At the end of my moving phase I can place these units back on the board - but where? As its not considered a deep strike (unless the unit have that keyword). The closest answer to this that I have found is along the edge of the board, but it does not state if I have to be a certain range away from enemy units or enemy deployment zone?
  3. Can hyperphased units be deployed at the end of my movement phase in turn 1?
  4. If units with the deepstrike keyword is hyperphased, they can deploy at the end of my movement phase even if its turn 1?

2024.05.21 21:31 BenKerryAltis WARNO if it's set in Suzerainverse

About WARNO)
Background:
The first division to be introduced on the Sordish side was the 5th Infantry Division. Deployed in the Nargis region as part of the Sordland First Army, The 5th infantry division is perhaps the most typical of all Sordish infantry divisions before the war of 1958. In fact, the Sordish armed force inquiry specifically designated the division as a template division. The 5th Infantry Division saw its first combat in the Estord pincer; it has since taken part in many major campaigns throughout the war.
Logistics: The 5th infantry division is designed with strong logistical capability in mind, providing the commander with a range of different options for combat sustainment
Sunolis 32 truck: the stereotypical truck that represents the Sordish Armed Forces
M52 munition carrier: the license-produced Arcasian carrier has been used as a mechanized troop transport. On some occasions, they are used to ferry ammunition to the frontline.
Fielddepot: a hardened strongpoint for storing ammunition. The Sordish doctrine relies on a good defense just like it relies on a good offense.
Sunolis 41 jeep: a mobile ride for commanding officers, not exactly the safest option
Infantry: The backbone of the Sordish Army, the men of the 5th infantry division may not be best of the entire army, but they are well-equipped and ready for combat.
Rifleman (motorized): 10 men squads with 8 G2 combat rifles, one MG21 machine gun, a Carl Gustafsson recoilless rifle (12 penetration with 4 shots), and rifle grenades. Initially, the Lancea reform aimed to fully mechanize all infantry units with M52 carriers. However, due to resource constraints, for each infantry brigades, two infantry battalions are motorized on trucks, and the third is mounted on M52 carriers.
Riflemen (mechanized): 8 men squads with 7 G2 combat rifles, one MG21 machine gun, a Carl Gustafsson recoilless rifle and rifle grenades. The squad rides in M52 carriers to battle. The carrier can reinforce the rifle squads with ammunition and material to reflect the fact that carriers do carry ammo on them. The recoilless
Engineers: 6 men squads with 5 G2s, one MG21, and 4 AT grenades (10 penetration and 50m range). Engineers have always been a part of the Sordish army since the Markian empire. Per doctrine, the engineers should be deployed as a reserve unit in the rear to strengthen defenses, they are not expected to hold the line or storm enemy positions.
Pioneers: Pioneers are specialized combat engineers tasked with storming enemy strongpoints and engage in close combat. This role is reflected by their shock trait, which increases their damage output at close range. A pioneer squad has 9 men with 7 G2s, an FO-47 flamethrower, satchel charges (50m range, 3 HE damage), and AT grenades.
Weapon squad: For each company, four machine guns are allocated; this is reflected by the weapons squad with 4 tripod mounted MG21s. The squad has 8 men with 4 G2 and an additional Carl Gustafsson Recoilless.
Anti-tank squad (motorized): The dismounted recoilless squad operates a crew-served 106mm M51 recoilless rifle (14 penetration, 70% accuracy, 800m range). They reflect the anti-tank squad organic to each motorized company.
Anti-tank squad (mech): mechanized AT squads are attached to each mechanized infantry company from the battalion level; they consist of a 5 men team with two Carl Gustafsson. The squad rides in a M52A carrier armed with a 106mm recoilless rifle.
ATGM squad: This is a new addition to the motorized battalion's anti-tank asset, but it has yet to replace the role of the venerable M53. The BS-3 missile is operated by a three-man team with a minimum range of 400 meters. The MCLOS guidance system resulted in abysmal accuracy (35%), but the long range of the missile and its penetration level (14 penetration with 3000m range) brought a revolutionary change to anti-tank combat.
Headquarters team: the leader of the unit. A five men team with 4 G2 rifles and one recoilless rifle. The headquarters team increases the morale of units within its effect radius and increases their veteran level. Enemy units seen by the HQ team can also be targeted with artillery with reduced aiming time due to their “forward observer” trait.
Artillery: Despite being smaller than their gargantuan Rumburgian counterpart, Sordish infantry divisions have access to a wide range of artilleries.
81mm mortar team: Five-men team with an 81mm, not the best nor the worst. (2 HE damage, fast fire rate)
M502 mortar carrier: A M52 carrier configured to carry 120mm mortar (3 HE damage, fast fire rate)
HF110 howitzer: a towed piece of 110mm artillery (3 HE damage, medium fire rate but with longer range and ammunition)
HF155 howitzer: a towed piece of 155 (4 HE damage, medium fire rate)
L213 SPG: A self-propelled 155mm artillery gun, it is armored to protect itself against enemy counterbattery fire (4 HE damage, medium fire rate)
Rk228 “pipe organ”: A heavy multiple-launch rocket artillery capable of firing 16 480mm rockets in one row. The accuracy is poor, but it can absolutely devastate enemy strong points.
Tanks: The Lancea reform seeks to turn the army into a modernized force capable of inflicting devastating losses on enemy units through maneuver warfare. The division’s tank arsenal has been modernized to some degree.
B-45 tanks: first developed in 1945, the tanks were pretty outdated by 1958. They lack modern armor and cannot reliably damage newer tanks with their 88mm gun. (4 front armor, 2 side armor, 1 rear armor, the 88 gun deals 2 HE and 10 penetration with 40% accuracy over 2300m range)
B-55 tanks: the update to B-45 tanks (pretty much T-55 but better), the B-55s are equipped with smoke launchers, newer 100mm guns, and active night vision capability to counter the Rumburgian night capability. The armor is also improved (7 front armor, 3 side armor, 1 rear armor, the 100mm gun deals 3 HE and 14 penetration with 45% accuracy over 2500m range)
B-55M1, the newest generation of the B-55 series, the tanks are equipped with ballistic computers and better armor, the ammunition is also improved. (9 front armor, 5 side armor, the gun deals 16 penetration with a kinetic projectile with 60% accuracy over 2500m range)
B-55cmd, a command variant of B-55, with leader trait and forward observer trait
Recon: The ability to get information across is essential in modern warfare, hence the army has invested much in this field
FernJaeger: 10 men motorized squad with 7 G2 rifles, 2 MG21 machineguns, 1 Carl Gustaf, and grenades. They have exceptional stealth and spotting.
Belluxjaeger: 4-man team with one Carl Gustaf. They can ride in M52 Jagdhross carriers (the recon version of M52, it is equipped with one 106mm and two MG21 guns). or jeeps
Hettmotor Fuchs: A 6-wheeled armored car with a 20mm cannon and smoke launcher (3 front armor, good spotting)
Air Defense: the Sordish air force is confident in their ability to stop most enemy air attack, but infantry divisions usually retain a strong anti-air component
M42 20mm: dual 20mm anti-air gun, it is somewhat obsolete
M55 anti-air: Self-propelled quad 20mm anti-air gun with radar assisted guidance, the main defense against Rumburgian air threat.
FK-20 Magico: Lespian infrared anti-air missile, the only weapon system not made in Sordland. The missiles have a 60% hit rate against air targets.
Helicopters: Sordish infantry divisions do not have access to much helicopters, most helicopter assets are centralized to armored divisions
Antelope II: Lespian light helicopter, somewhat commonly used in the Rika continent by the Pretorian Defense Force and some Arcasian PMCs, the helicopter is mostly used for recon with only an MG21 mounted on it.
Planes: The Sordish Air Force is an independent strategic branch. Due to limited resources, they are more concerned with gaining air superiority and acting as an interdicting force. The vast majority of infantry units cannot call in close air support. A longtime joke is that a colonel in an infantry division can call in as much air support as a captain in a tank division can.
P-86 Sabre: the plane comes in two variations; A2A variant is armed with a Rattlesnake air-to-air missile (60% accuracy). The rocket variant fires 128mm rockets.
P-104 Starfighter: the Arcasian plane’s reliance on speed has made it notorious for crash incidents, it is often nicknamed as “flying coffin” by aircrews. The plane comes in a bomber variant with two 450kg bombs.
P-100 Super Sabre: the backbone of the Sordish air force, the A2A version has semi-active radar missiles in addition to Rattlesnakes, the bomb version carries four 450kg bombs and two 20mm gun pods

2024.05.21 21:29 udlose The Problem with Heaven: an extension of the Problem of Evil

I would love to get your thoughts on a logical argument that I’ve created (to my knowledge) that I believe takes the problem of evil argument to the next level. It starts with the following three statements:
  1. The Christian God is evil.
  2. Christianity is rooted in fear.
  3. Heaven is indistinguishable from Hell.
These statements are intentionally provocative and often elicit demands for an explanation from Christians. When this happens, I make a fourth bold claim: by the end of our discussion, it will be the Christian (not me) who makes the compelling argument supporting these claims.
To begin, I ask five questions, beginning with the problem of evil argument:
“If the Christian God is all-loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful, why does evil exist in the world? If I possessed these qualities, I would prevent evil from happening. It seems contradictory or even malevolent for an omnipotent and benevolent God to allow evil to exist, given His abilities.”
Ninety-nine percent of the time, Christians respond with the usual “God gives us free will” counterargument. This sets up my second question:
“Genuine love cannot be forced; it must be freely chosen. Compulsory love would stem from fear rather than true affection. True love can only exist if we have the freedom to choose to love. God grants us free will because it alone enables us to choose to love Him. However, the downside of free will is that it also allows us the possibility to choose evil. Is that correct?”
Typically, they agree because it appears that I am beginning to see their perspective. I then ask a third clarifying question:
“So, it’s not possible for genuine love to exist without free will? But wouldn’t our world be better without free will since no one would end up in Hell because no one could ever choose to do evil?”
Here, they commit to the idea that God values free will above all because otherwise we’d be mindless robots. I then tie all the pieces together:
“I see. So, without evil, there would be no free will, and without free will, there would be no genuine love. We would essentially be living in a hellish existence, forced to love an authoritarian god out of fear rather than genuine affection.”
Again, they agree, thinking they are making a case for a loving God. I ask one final question:
“One last question. When a Christian dies and goes to Heaven, how much evil can they expect to encounter there?”
Naturally, a Christian will respond stating that no evil exists in Heaven. By doing so, they’ve just reasoned themselves into a position where their God is evil, their religion is rooted in fear, and Heaven is indistinguishable from Hell—just as I initially claimed. I explain this in my conclusion:
“Evil is always a choice when a person has free will. And if free will does not exist in Heaven, then, by your own logic, true love cannot exist there either because love without free will is coercion. This would make Heaven more akin to a hellish existence of forced affection, no free will, and no genuine love. Any god condemning us to such a fate would be evil, and Christianity would be rooted in fear rather than love.
Heaven is Hell. God is evil. Christianity is rooted in fear.
Throughout this discussion, you’ve created a very compelling argument for why all three of my initial claims are true—exactly as I said you would.”
At this point, they typically start backpedaling. They may try to argue that Heaven is a place where free will exists but evil does not. This contradicts their earlier claims that such a place cannot exist, which is why evil occurs here on earth. I remind them of this and explain that if God could create a place with free will and no evil from the start but chose to put us in an existence where we have to deal with evil, then He is evil.
If they try to say that in Heaven we are changed to have free will but not be evil, the same logic applies: God could have made us that way from the start but chose not to, which makes Him evil.
All roads lead to an evil God, a religion rooted in fear, and a choice between two variations of eternal Hell.

2024.05.21 21:28 Mobile_Mammoth_6872 2W4DPO

Good afternoon, all. I hope everyone is recovering nicely and for those with scheduled surgery dates, I hope you’re getting great advice and info. from all of the wonderful people in this group. I wanted to pop on in and post about how things are going because I think I need people to tell me that I’m doing the right or not so right things. I’m listening to my body and giving it relief when I feel any slight discomfort. Please know that I value all opinions and like a new mom, I’m learning as I go. Ok so, I had a robotic assisted laparoscopic total hysterectomy on May 3, I kept both ovaries. I will be 3wpo this Friday and I went back to work Monday, yesterday. I’ve been working from home since 3dpo and decided that I felt good enough to be at work at least half day, so 4 hours, I ended up staying a little over 5 hours. I mostly sat upright at my desk but I did do some walking and quite a bit of standing. Most of the walking and standing was done all at the same time for a about an hour, between 10am and 11:15am. So the other 4 hours were spent sitting upright but I would stand or walk for a couple of minutes to get some relief from sitting, after about 20 - 30 minutes of sitting upright in my desk chair. By the time I left at 1:30pm, I felt the gravitational strain in my pelvic area. It wasn’t painful but I could feel some slight pressure and discomfort. When I got home, I went straight to bed and didn’t get up, for 3 hours, maybe 4. I was scared to get upright because I thought I’d feel that pressure again but when I finally got up and out of bed, I felt completely fine. No discomfort whatsoever. I was actually kinda shocked. I still stayed in bed, only getting up out of necessity. When I woke up this morning, I felt great, no pressure or discomfort at all in the pelvic area but I do feel some soreness in the muscles in my inner thighs. I went back work this morning but did half the walking and standing and I left at noon. I was there less than 4 hours. I did feel the some of the same pressure and discomfort, no better or worse than the day before and like yesterday, I came straight to bed and I’m going to stay here for the rest of the day. I don’t have anything going on at work tomorrow so I can work from home, if I want but I’m wondering if my body needs that activity to build up strength. My energy levels are great and my mood is great and I don’t feel weak or fatigued at all. Also, I haven’t taken any type of pain medicine since I was 1wpo. What are your thoughts?

2024.05.21 21:22 BananaHotRocket PSYC 289 Exam Tips

Okay so I just finished the PSYC 289 (Psychology as a Natural Science) exam and here's some details:
  1. Format: 75 multiple choice questions, 9 short answer questions worth 3 marks each.
  2. 3 questions were on history (but even then, hardly), 9 questions from the other 8 chapters, and 1 short answer question for each unit.
  3. Know tiny little identifiers or details about things. I found there were more questions about tiny details to prove points than anything. Examples: Wernicke's area of the brain, how IQ was calculated back when it was developed (not present day), how many morphemes were in a word, etc.
  4. Further to #3, it's not enough to know the base concept: I found the questions were application heavy, so you had to understood how it was applied to situations. Example: Two different situational questions about negative reinforcement versus punishment.
  5. The short answer questions were a) hella open ended and b) about broad topics, with only a couple that relied on just plain facts . Examples included
    1. discussing the nature vs nurture debate,
    2. how do we know that hypotheses must be testable (and what does it mean, to be testable?)
    3. how can forgetting happen in semantic memories
    4. what tech is used to measure sleep and how each stage is different/reads on that tech,
    5. advantages and limitations to studies based on brain injuries and brain lesioning.
Overall, I'd say this exam was incredibly reasonable. Unlike the quizzes, there were no questions designed to trick you: it was very straightforward.
I had this experience in PSYC 290 and it definitely happened here: they reused questions from my quizzes on my exam, so I was grateful to have learned from PSYC 290 and benefitted from studying the things I got wrong on quizzes.
REMEMBER: As much as I've shared this, there's many versions of the exam, and it depends on your course version (I was Revision 7, Exam Version E) so it's highly improbable you'll have the same things I did. I want this to be a general guide!
Best of luck to all of you who take the course!

2024.05.21 21:20 Traditional_Fox_8988 Checking battery level

Hello i need assistance if I did my battery level check correctly on my circuit.
I am using a 18650 li-ion battery. I did a voltage divider to have good voltage for my analog pin. Max voltage for the battery is 4.2v when fully charged and 2.5v when discharged. I used 2 100K Ohm resistors for voltage divider and I used this website to calculate ranges: https://www.digikey.com/en/resources/conversion-calculators/conversion-calculator-voltage-divider
4.2v -> 2.1v 2.5v -> 1.25v
analog input gets values 0-1023 so i did this maths:
float baterryVoltage = ((analogBaterryReading * 3.3) / 1024) * 2; float batteryPercentage = mapFloat(baterryVoltage, 2.5, 4.2, 0.0, 100.0);
But I don't know if thats correct :D, please tell me if I am doing it right, I am not good at electronics but still learning.

2024.05.21 21:19 AnutherGurl Grasping at straws

Hi. 41f here. I was diagnosed with sub clinical hypothyroidism in 2015 and have been on 25mcg of Levo up until a month ago.
My primary dr checked me after complaining that my chronic dizziness (30 years now) was getting worse and felt as if my female hormones where the possible culprit as PMS makes the dizziness so much worse. My thinking was PCOS as my hair is thinning and developing facial hair suddenly. My IGF-1 was a little high, my AM cortisol was a little low, my TSH was at a 2.8 where it usually is and my A1C was at 5.5. He sent me to an endocrinologist.
The endo did labs 3 months later and my TSH was 4.94, my T4 was 1.0 and with no change in my diet my A1C is now 5.7. The IGF-1 and AM cortisol came back in the normal range. After seeing my results, she told me to get off of the Levo (since it’s not doing anything because of the rising levels) for a month then retest.
Each week for the past month, I’ve had more dizziness and more vertigo attacks than I have in a very long time. My body feels restless and fatigued. Aches and pain. Can’t sleep and have brain fog. Blood pressure and heart rate are at good levels until I have to exert myself in any way. Taking showers leaves me spinning which causes a 125 heart rate for an hour or so but always came down, blood pressure always good.
I just got through with my month follow-up and my lab results was a TSH of 5.22 and T4 of 1.0. Only levels she checked. I told her about the dizziness, the fatigued, aches and pains. She said at 5.22 I shouldn’t be feeling any symptoms as this is in the normal range. She wants me off the meds still and retest in another month. Everything I mentioned was countered with a reason. That heart rate of 125 is one reason to be off the meds and I should see a cardiologist. I do, my hearts fine and 125 is NOT my resting heart rate I mentioned to her. The dizziness and vertigo is something else, see an ENT. Which I am next month. The fatigued and aches and pain “sound like symptoms of hypo” but she says if I was at a 10 or 12 then she’d look into it.
I understand that my (still undiagnosed after 30 years and more doctors seen and tests done than I would like) dizziness and vertigo are of course probably something else. I understand 5 isn’t a “we need to fix this STAT” type of level. At a 2.8 I could actually leave my home. Now I can’t leave my bed. Isn’t it possible, just a little, that being at this level could be making me feel worse?

2024.05.21 21:18 Bri_TheBookish [LFP][5e][OMGSoMuchHomebrew][LGBTQ][Paid] Trauma! Tea! Traps! Tales! Tickles!

Okay, probably not that last one.
Hello! I'm Bri, a professional GM looking to add folks to not one but TWO new campaigns starting soon in my homebrew world of Aileni!
About the GM!
I'm a 5e GM who thrives on homebrew aspects and loves cultivating fun role-play moments for my players. My goal is for you to have fun - if that means a custom race, reskinning a spell or twelve, or making some stellar customized items, I'm all in! I've created a world from the ground up that I feel provides hundreds of possible directions for my players to go in. Come explore with me!
I would call my GMing style 'guided chaos'. I absolutely love designing an environment with a pile of options and allowing players to drive the story and choose the direction that fascinates them the most. Roleplay is my absolute favorite, but I really enjoy epic combats as well - they just don't come up as often in my sessions as incredible roleplay moments do. I try to adjust based upon what players are looking for and remain flexible, but I would definitely say I'm in it for the story and not the numbers.
About the Game!
Three hundred years ago, the Cataclysm rocked the world of Aileni. Nobody remembers a time before that, and very few records survived. From the rubble and chaos, a new world emerged. Most folks are now settled in to their new lives, but some are still searching for answers.
This is a high magic homebrew setting open to new and seasoned players. We will be beginning at level one, milestone, with the intention and hope of running a full 20-level campaign.
Resources used: Discord, D&D Beyond, Owlbear Rodeo
You Can Expect!
✨️ Homebrew up the wazoo! World, races, items, maybe even subclasses? 👀
✨️ A thorough Session Zero!
✨️ Safety tools. Your comfort is important!
✨️ Inclusivity! Everyone is welcome here!
✨️ Roleplay heavy game. We won't be having combat every session unless you really messed up.
Please feel free to comment with questions, or just click below to join us and/or read more about it!
~Wednesday campaign starts May 29th~
~Sunday campaign starts June 2nd~

2024.05.21 21:18 Even-Film6299 Which one would you prefer and why?

I will use the laptop for mostly gaming, watch some movies, and some beginner or moderate level engineering tasks (catia, ansys, matlab). High gaming performance for long hours and build quality is important to me. SSD performance and capacity is also important. Lastly i prefer screen & image quality over higher resolution. These are pretty much on the limit for my budget so probably i cant go for a upper model.

My options are:

HP Victus 16-s0005nt (7Z4Q7EA): https://kelaptop.com/en/hp-victus-gaming-16-s0005nt-7z4q7ea

MSI Katana 15 B12VGK-087XTR: leftmost one in the table https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Katana-15-B12VX/Specification

Acer Nitro 16 AN16-41-R1PR https://nanoreview.net/en/laptop/acer-nitro-16-an16-41-2023?m=c.4_d.2_g.3_r.2

Asus TUF Gaming A15 (2023) FA507XI-LP013W: leftmost one in the table https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-gaming/tuf-gaming/asus-tuf-gaming-a15-2023/techspec/

In this link there is a side by side comparison of the exact models (website is in turkish but i think you can tell almost everything since the words are similar. maybe you can tranlate the page): https://www.epey.com/laptop/karsilasti872915-882542-895611-930733/msi-katana-15-b12vgk-087xtr_asus-tuf-gaming-a15-2023-fa507xi-lp013w_acer-nitro-16-an16-41-r1pr_hp-victus-gaming-16-s0005nt-7z4q7ea/
GPUs are same but Acer and Asus 140W, HP 120W, MSI 105W. But i guess it doesnt matter that much after 100-105W.
Hp is the cheapest one right now and has 1 tb ssd.
MSI has 1 tb ssd and 2 ssd slots in total which is important to me.
Acer is the only one with 2k screen which is not that important to me. Since i prefer higher graphic settings and maximum fps over higher resolution.
Asus has most recent processor.
Which one would you prefer based on the things i said? And why?
