old skarner, prismatic item tierlist on how good would be on him

Overpowered tier:
Force of entrophy:+30 ability haste+30% critical strike chance+900 health
if you didnt know the build of old skarner on arena (moonstone, rite of ruin, atmas)
this item it straight up cracked on old skarner, it way better than atmas in almost ever siingle way, with more early critical chance for the rite of ruin, (70 crit in total with rite of ruin) ton of health and cdr.
skarner is an cc machine this item woudl make skarner ult for example to supress for more than 2.5 seconds only on his ult. basicly this item make the build path of old skarner like 200% better, has insane combos with his kit and his rite of ruin.
Moonflair spellblade:+70 ability power+350 health+30% tenacity
aside from tenacity this item dosent excels than any others stat wise, the reason moonflairs is overpowers it becuase how skarner cd refund on q and e works, this item is like a cracked navori and seems it procks with every single q you spam your are jsut spaming q into w into e, with every single ability you press you get 90% attack speed and a free auto reset. it not as good as force becuase it dosent help at all the moonstone build (the main core of skarner) and you will be locked with 40% crit change of rite of ruin.
Innervating locket:+70 ability power+20 ability haste+200 health
UNIQUE – FILL THE SOUL: Gain a charge each time you or champions within 800 units cast an ability, up to 30. At maximum charges, gain a 400 − 750 (based on level) shield, 100 − 250 (based on level) ability power, and 15% − 25% (based on level) bonus movement speed for the rest of the round.
skarner has one of the most spammable abilities on the game, his q with a couple of cdr would just fill up this thing as quicly as poissble when fully stack provide a lot of damage and shield from your w and rite of ruin and the ms is nice too, actually this item would make ap skarner viable but it dosent help the standard buildpath of skarner.
Cruelty: it alsmot guaranted hit on skarner
Strong tier: this gonna be a quick rundown.
empyren promise: pretty fk good stats and has heal and shield power help a lot your build besides not having crit chance
Divine sundered: it divine sunderer
radiant virtue: fk amazing item with it effect and now has shield power
the other you can figure it out yourself but overall skarner would be great if not better if they didnt remove it from the mode, but if arena manage to STAY PERMANENT this might no be the last time we see old skarner in arena.

FAQ

What is Magic Research 2?
Magic Research 2 is an entirely new game of the same genre as Magic Research: an incremental, text-based, auto-battler RPG with a heavy focus on Magic. Play the role of a rookie wizard with a single ambition: to find or create the Philosopher's Stone, a legendary magical item that is said to be able to cure any illness. As you do so, you will learn more than you ever imagined about Magic and about the world around you. What kinds of adventures await you?
Magic Research 2 is a premium game - no ads or IAP. You pay once and you get the full game. The free demo contains the first 4 to 8 hours of the full game, and the progress can be easily transferred to the full game if you decide to purchase it, so if you're feeling unsure you can give it a try!
What is Magic Research?
Magic Research is a premium, ad-and-IAP-free, cross-platform, text-based incremental RPG about magic, released in 2023. The free web demo is a good starting point if you have never tried it, and the full game is released on Android, iOS and Steam (Windows).
Magic Research is a separate game from Magic Research 2. If you enjoyed one of them, chances are you will enjoy the other one.
How do I transfer my demo progress to the full game?
This will depend on your platform.
If you played the demo on Steam and are also playing the full game on Steam: The progress should transfer automatically. You may want to open the demo one last time, go to Options, then export your save data by using "Save to file" just in case something odd happens.
In all other cases: Open the demo and export your save data by using "Save to file". Then open the full version of the game, and at the bottom you should get a prompt to import the save data from the demo.
Has anything changed since the initial release of the Demo version? Is there further development planned?
The Demo version has gotten an update, version 1.1, that tried to address several things. Among those are the addition of a "Quick Channeling" option to try and reduce the amount of presses needed for this common task.
An update, version 1.2, is planned shortly after launch. This is a much more substantial update with two new Storylines, which bring the total to 127, as well as many more quality-of-life features and improvements. It also includes an experimental setting for an alternative implementation for Land. The full version will release with 1.2 on the Steam beta channel, and the Android version will get it soon after release on the beta as well.
After this update is released, development will most likely be centered on feedback from players for a bit as I try and improve the experience.
Can you play Magic Research 2 in languages other than English?
Although the game has a system in place to support translations, none have been made so far. Because of the sheer size of the script (more than 4000+ strings, estimating 70K+ words), it would be out of budget to commission a professional translation, so instead I'm opening up the strings file to crowd-translation efforts. There is a GitHub project: https://github.com/mcolotto/magic-research-2-translations with the base translation file and some details / instructions; if you'd like to try to translate Magic Research 2, there is a guide in the repository. Note that this file obviously has spoilers for the entire game! You might want to finish the game first; you have been warned!
How is support for screen readers?
I have personally tested the game using VoiceOver on iOS and NVDA on Windows / Steam.
NVDA on Windows / Steam version: The initial demo launch had some issues with NVDA, several of which are addressed in 1.1. There are still some rough edges, and I'm happy to receive feedback on those. I'm hoping to address those in patches after 1.2. If you are interested in playing, I suggest you play and finish the free demo first; the full game continues on straight from there and will likely work the same way.
VoiceOver on iOS: From the testing I've made personally, the launch version 1.1.0 on iOS should work decently well. In my opinion, it was easier to play with than NVDA on Windows.
TalkBack on Android: This is unsupported, just like with Magic Research 1. I wasn't able to get this to work reasonably at all, as it has horrible delays / lag that essentially make it impossible to use the app. You can try the free demo if you'd like; I wouldn't recommend buying the game until you've finished the demo version. My personal suggestion is: if you have a Windows PC, try the demo on Steam instead as that should work leaps and bounds better than the Android version.
I wanted to add a feature to automatically pause exploration after every attack, but I wasn't able to get to this before launch. As a reminder, you can still do this manually via hotkey on Windows and via Magic Tap on VoiceOver, just like in Magic Research 1. That said, Magic Research 2 does have several features that should help reduce the amount of interaction you need to have during battles, like auto-using pouch items to heal, so it's possible that may make this feature less necessary.

Non-Art sets - Allure thoughts?
I had a brief discussion about non-art sets in another thread after receiving a free hobby box of Thor Love and Thunder cards. I actually ended up really liking the set, to my surprise, and picked up a second sealed box off eBay for only $70 bucks to complete the set.
How does everyone feel about the Allure set? I’m seriously considering picking up a couple boxes while they are still cheap. It covers the Infinity Saga (before it all started going downhill) and I think it looks sharp.
One plus side to these sets are the actor autos. My two are pictured (both listed as short prints on cardboard connection!)

As you do so, you will learn more than you ever imagined about Magic and about the world around you. What kinds of adventures await you?
What is similar / different between Magic Research and Magic Research 2?
Magic Research 2 shares some of the core features with Magic Research, such as the concept of researching or studying magic to learn new spells, or the battle system in Exploration. It also shares the same base UI, as it was built using the first game as a base.
However, it is an entirely new game. The story, spells, Storylines, items, enemies, etc. are all completely different and built from scratch, and the game is a little longer. There are also multiple hidden new features that were not present in Magic Research.
But even the shared features are quite different. Spells are organized in Elements instead of Schools. Land is limited, and you need to plan what you want to build. Inventory space is infinite and item creation can be automated. Potions are no longer consumable; instead they are equipment that recharges every combat. The list goes on! The best way to understand the similarities and differences is to play the free demo (see the links in this post).

Mental health platforms cannot cure toxic work culture 📣
https://preview.redd.it/2bffyojqmt1d1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c00bcf8bded9d931a5a79a19ef4eb7af6f83532
A new report has revealed concerning statistics around work-related stress in the UK. And one thing is clear: organisations need to rethink their wellness strategies.
In recent years, there's been a significant shift in prioritising mental health in the workplace, with employees demanding better support from their employers.
And whilst plenty of companies have clearly understood the assignment, many others... haven't.
Instead of developing meticulous wellbeing policies that could have a genuine impact on their employees, and provide them with legitimate solutions and long-term support, companies are offering free fruit, monthly yoga classes, and Slack integrations that ask people to rate their mood on a scale of 😁 to 😢.
But it doesn't matter how many chat-bot therapists you introduce, or how many beers you serve on a Friday afternoon, these token "benefits" are superficial at best and don't provide any real value.
Bandaids on bullet holes, if you will 🩹
According to Spill, since the pandemic, 81% of workplaces have increased their focus on employee mental wellbeing. However, 1 in 3 employees still feel that mental health support in their workplace is inadequate and would like more support from their employers.
And sadly, it appears that a lot of organisations are only jumping on the employee wellness bandwagon for one reason - that healthy, happy employees are more productive and therefore better for business 💰
No wonder the UK has been dubbed a "burnt-out nation" by mental health charities.
In fact, Mental Health UK’s Burnout report 2024 shows that 91% of UK adults have experienced high or extreme levels of pressure or stress in the past year, leading to one in five workers needing to take time off work in that period.
Well, that's definitely not good for business 👀
Having asked employees what solutions they believe would help to alleviate stress and burnout at work, their report also tells us that:
👉 56% of respondents cited having a healthy work-life balance 👉 43% said having a supportive line manager 👉 42% said having supportive colleagues and peers
Employees want to know that their company genuinely cares about them, and is doing their best to support them. They want to know that the culture they're contributing to is one built on empathy and trust.
And in case it isn't obvious yet, a pizza party isn't enough to achieve that 🍕
If you're a company that prioritises its people and is determined to create a truly supportive working environment, then definitely check out the blog post shared in the comments.

2024.05.21 20:01 FoxxyYukon I Finally See the Light

I've been trying to find a weapon that honestly could be used well against the bots. Initially it was the Grenade Launcher because it could deal with striders and devastators easily with 1-3 shots. And you can reload with it on the move!
I also tried the EAT due to it's real short resupply time. So nice that I could blow up heavy armor from the front. Sometimes I miss but oh well, I have another and if that was my last, just need to hold out for 70 seconds.
I then finally tried the Auto Cannon. Everyone is singing it's praises after all. So I try it and... oh. I seem to can't get it right. Reloading at the right time, shooting targets where it hits the hardest. I just seem to get massacred using it. Well... back to the Grenade Launcher.
Until now. Idk what happened but it finally clicked. I have finally seen the supreme power that shoulder fired 20mm monster. I have found the light. I now join and kneel with many other divers at the alter of the beloved and mighty AC.
TLDR: I had problems with the AC due to major skill issue. Finally seem to be using it as Democracy intended.

2024.05.21 19:41 CaptCrunchBenson Total n00b seeking help building a specific chatbot (no-code preferred)

I have a lot of anxiety about a very specific phobia/thing and just read the best book I've seen on it using CBT exercises. I want to build a chatbot/GPT that would be trained using the exercises and content of that book that I could use when I'm triggered, as I think it would be more helpful to be guided through the exercises rather than trying to self-reflect and find the right exercises from the book when I'm in a peak spiral.
Obviously this wouldn't be used by other people/isn't a substitute for therapy, and I don't have depression so I'm not at any risk or anything like that. But, I think having a chat bot to calmly walk me through something when my anxiety is hitting a spiral and that would be able to respond to my responses would be wonderful.
I have zero AI, coding, or programming experience other than using ChatGPT to brainstrom stuff.
Is there a website or app out there that would let me do this in a free (or very low-cost) way? I have a PDF copy of the e-book that would be the training material. I don't mind paying if it works, but because I don't know what I'm doing I don't want to waste money.
Any suggestions for a total noob wanting to build their first chatbot?

Installing an aftermarket trigger legal? Not Binary or FRT, just a different trigger.
I have some questions regarding the law here in Florida. I recently got a CZ and bought the Cajun Gunworks Pro-kit to install in it. The kit is defined as being a better defensive trigger with crisper break and shorter reset.
When I went to pick up the CZ at the FFL dealer we were chatting and he mentioned that his gunsmithing side of business is kaput because he’s not allowed to do trigger modifications. He noted that he basically lost his entire competition shooter client base because of it. He was saying that if you are caught in self defense situation, you may be clear and free if 100% justified, but if it’s a high profile enough case, even if you get off for the criminal charge and the civilian charge they can turn around and open up the firearm and charge you under the statute pictured above. But I’ve seen people selling triggers online here and Florida, and I’m pretty sure I saw some at a gun show recently.
So my question is what’s the deal? Is the statute really just suppose to target “auto-fire sims” or even just improved semi-auto triggers? Are there gunsmiths who still do trigger replacements here? Are the competition shooters here banned from trigger mods too?

2024.05.21 19:08 Narrow_Significance2 Got ghosted in the dumbest way possible...

I'm a 15-year veteran web designedeveloper and I've been specializing in accessibility for the last 5, both remediation and initial development/design, etc.
I had a meeting with a client to work in a sort of long-term contract freelance kind of job. They already have a development and design team but they don't know about accessibility, so they need someone to work exclusively the development and design work that is related to accessibility.
Their projects are mainly on Wordpress and other CMSs. Accessibility is pretty much agnostic when it comes to technology. It is basically following a set of guidelines and practices, mainly in the UX/UI and HTML domains, related to semantics and usability. It helps to know a bit of JavaScript and basic programming to deal with custom widgets to make them accessible, but it all relates to the "visual" side of things more than the logical/data processing/mathematical side of programming.
I had a great interview with the CEO that turned more into a very pleasant and free-flowing conversation about accessibility and how it could be implemented on their projects. I also told her about the several other accessibility-related projects I worked on in the last few years and answered all her doubts about accessibility work in general.
We finished the conversation with honest smiles and excitement (you guys know what I'm talking about, when everything seems to click perfectly and you think "I'm so hired"). She just clarified that as routinary practice they had an AI bot that writes code tests so she asked me to do one "if I didn't mind" which of course I didn't.
Turns out the test had NOTHING to do with accessibility but with advanced wordpress plugin development and the heavy side of JavaScript logic, data processing, user management, promises, that sort of stuff.
I do understand that a "regular" Front-End might need to know all that stuff to a T but not only is it not my area of expertise, it has literally ZERO to do with the work I was supposed to do for them right away, which was about accessibility auditing and bug remediation. Not only that but the "code questions" had a 2min time limit... WTF I have my attention span an anxiety issues but I'm not sure even a complete expert dev wouldn't freak out and mess it up under that pressure...
I stopped the test half-way and wrote her and email to tell her about this and explained how it was not related to the work I was supposed to do for them. The one for which the meeting she had with me 5 minutes ago proved that I was a perfect fit for.... I asked her for a test that might be more related to accessibility itself.
She thanked me for letting me know and said she was gonna "connect with her team and get back to me very soon"
Never heard from her again. It's been just 5 days, but in my experience all the other jobs/clients I landed, I landed them almost on the spot, so I don't think they have any intention of getting back to me.
I don't wanna write back and seem desperate. At the same time some folks usually recommend this.
What do you guys think?
