2024.05.01 06:56 Dpscc22 Leveling up - tips

First: Yes, you should enjoy the game, and not rush through it just because. That said:
For those looking to leveling up to progress in Atlantica, here are a couple tips (I’m sure others will have more!):
Start with the Expert/Dark Onslaught Dungeon. Each level grants a good amount of xp, and it doesn’t cost anything.
Then, if you’re strong enough, spend your xp on the Master versions of the Real of Fire hunts. Those cost between 110 and 115xp per round, but grant between 3,400 and 4,100xp per round. That’s a much better xp/stamina rate than any Roaming Monster.
Finally, if you’ve played all rounds of the Master Realm of Fire levels you can beat, and have stamina left, then play roaming monsters. But I’d focus solely on the ones that give almost or more than 2,000xp. And those are not necessarily in Atlantica, or the ones that cost the most stamina. For me, it’s been often the ones from Realm of Fire, or even White Peak.
Hope this helps!!

2024.05.01 06:51 ReaperCDN How to Helldive against Bugs

I'm writing this with over 350 hours played, and I play relaxed on 7, and mostly enjoy Helldiving on 9 with my group.
I'm going to pass some information on to you to help you understand how to Helldive effectively against bugs of different varieties, and what to do when you encounter overwhelming odds like multiple elite spawns or hunter swarms, shriekers, stalkers and spewers all ganging up on you.
First up, loadouts.
Very little is not viable in this game. You can run pretty much any primary you want (save yourselves the arguments that some guns aren't viable, you can literally run any of them and do just fine on Helldive - I do this all the time just for variety,) so I'm going to categorize them into 4 broad groups for ease of understanding, and I'll explain what they're for so you don't waste time pumping 2 mags from an AR into a bile spewer and then complaining that it isn't fair.
Armour
Mobility is key. Light armour is preferred, medium armour at most. Heavy armour is a death sentence against bugs unless you have a very capable team already. Your main defence against the bugs is simply running. A lot. Heavy Armour is slow and stamina draining. This means death.
Weapons
Your secondary is for backup, take what you like. I prefer the Senator because it can plug medium armour foes, however it usually takes the entire clip so it's on par with the Redeemer that way.
Grenades
I recommend only 2 grenades for helldiving. Impact and Stun at your preference. I typically run impact, and I'll explain why below, but Stun has a similar effect for a lesser cost, plus it helps you learn to position.
Strategems
You need the ability to bust heavies on Helldive on demand. To this end I recommend taking the 500kg bomb strikes, Orbital Precision, and Orbital Railgun. For your last strategem slot, something like Quasar, Recoilless Rifle, Spear or EATS. I prefer the RR personally, because in a pinch you can drop the backpack for multi-heavies and have a teammate quick load you to drop them in rapid succession. We'll get to this.
Positioning
This is your most important skill to master. Chargers and Bile Titans are an asset to a Helldiver. Chargers don't give a shit what's in their way, and Bile Titans will automatically try to spit on you when they get within 20 meters. That bile will melt ANYTHING, including other bile titans. Learning to use these to your advantage will help with clearing the swarms.
When you run into a pack or breach that has multiple elites like 4 to 6 Chargers and 2 Biles, you will undoubtedly be tempted to start popping them. Wait a moment and assess. What is the position of the Titans in relation to the Chargers? More importantly, where can you move so that you can get them to cross each others paths? Bile Titans are reckless, so running between their legs while Chargers chase you invariably results in Chargers getting crushed to death. Even better, if there's a 2nd bile and you hear or see it rearing for it's spit, diving to the side will spare you while letting it paint the chargers and other titan, doing a lot of the heavy lifting for you.
When there's multiple elites, they tend to get tangled up in each other. Chargers smash into each other relentlessly, and are VERY poor at turning circles. If you've got 4 or 5 chargers all chasing you, start running circles until they're smashing into each other. Then drop the 500 kg in the mess and watch one bomb delete 4 of them simultaneously.
But Reaper, while I try to do this, Hunters are all over my shit. I can't move!
That's what your primary is actually for. Dispensing with the garbage mobs. The elites are where you control your movement, and you save your ammo for the little guys because you do not focus the tanks. Tanks are meant to take damage so the dps can wreck you. Nuke the DPS, kite the tanks.
But Reaper, they brought supports, and the spewers are screwing with me too! Like the bile titans, the spewers can also be coaxed into spitting all over their friendlies. Unlike the bile titan, the Chargers don't give a shit that spewers exist and will happily pop them for you. So long as you're moving at least 45 degrees at a run, the spewers won't hit you, so keep using those Chargers to delete the big pimples. And if you're getting too crowded, grenades are your friend here too. One impact for nurses, two for bile (usually, sometimes you luck out with one.)
And hey, if you're just truly overwhelmed and the numbers are insane, I can't stress this enough: Run away. Pick a direction that isn't filled with the enemies and just GO THAT WAY. Don't stop. Keep running until you run out of stamina, then take a look behind you. If there's a small amount chasing, clean them up. If there's still a horde, keep running. They won't keep coming. You will get clear.
How to use grenades effectively
There are 3 situations in which you should be using your grenades on bugs. Big clumps, spewers, and stalkers. If you've got stalkers, don't hesitate. Nade them immediately. This is why I prefer impact. Higher risk with those, but they explode on contact. Totally worth it. Big clumps of enemies are easy to clear for obvious reasons. And spewers are simple to pop with nades. On top of all this, the Impact grenade can kill Chargers effectively with some good tosses right under it. I tend to do this after dodging a charge. I'll plant one or two right under it's ass and watch it struggle to limp towards me. I don't recommend wasting grenades on Chargers, but if you've just got the one, it's better than burning a strategem.
Stun grenades: These are absolutely fantastic for setting up your strategems. Drop an Eagle, then toss a stun at your targets. Watch them just stand there as the 500kg impales their skull and detonates their dreams. Works equally well on bots.
But I really like the Auto-cannon, grenade launcher, AMR, Laser Cannon, etc
Great! Just understand that your role will not be busting heavies with those weapons. You'll have to rely entirely on your strategems and positioning to do that work for you instead. Those weapons clear crowds quickly. Use the proper tool for the job and you'll find things get easier. If you're manning a grenade launcher, focus the mediums and below. If you're running the Auto-cannon don't waste ammo on Chargers and Bile Titans. If you've got an AMR, delete those brood commanders so they don't keep popping warriors.
Stay mobile
Treat it like you would Doom. Stay mobile. Bugs biggest weakness is your mobility. Repositioning, making sure not to get caught in the open with no rocks to impede Chargers and Titans, and strategically positioning are the keys to success. With practice, you'll be solo clearing heavy nests while 6 bug breaches are spawning all around you.
And don't worry if you die. Practice makes perfect. Break the habit of trying to always get back to your stuff. You just died there. It's hot. Deal with something closer to where you got called down, then circle back to get your gear and finish up that hole. Repositioning and being flexible in your tactics will stop you from going on full tilt as you rush in head first into the same swarm that's already killed you 4 times. Stop doing that.
Specific enemy types and their weaknesses
Good hunting Helldivers.
If you're interested in some hands on training, send me a DM and I'll invite you to our discord. I play almost every day, so I'm happy to help people out.

2024.05.01 06:51 Willow_rpg Classes that fit their lore imho. Major spoilers ahead

These are just my opinions. I would like to open discussion for other classes and subclasses you feel fit a companion and why you believe it fits a companion
You may disagree with my subjective interpretation of subjective media regarding story and their characters. That's fine. I would like to hear the alternative classes and subclasses you would present for these characters and why
I strongly believe that leniency in my interpretation of these characters is needed otherwise the classes that fit them will be incredibly limited
See some of these as a "if you squint ..." etc
WYLL
ACT ONE AND ACT TWO
Fiend warlock/paladin of devotion: Oath of devotion paladin is your knight in shining armour
Fiend warlock/bard: Just a single dialogue sentence that says it all: "Provoke the blade, and suffer it's sting."
Fiend warlock/sorcerer: Sorcerer power is latent and something usually activates it. Maybe that activation can be Wyll travelling through the Hells for not killing Karlach
ACT THREE
Fiend warlock/paladin of vengeance: Basically after setting it up so Wyll's contract breaks in 6 months, and then killing Ansur and directing Wyll to be the blade of Avernus; Wyll will want to go out of his way to hunt down Mizora. You can persuade him out of it because it's clear he's doing it for vengeance reasons not heroic reasons. But that could be his opening into vengeance paladin. Although Idk or I can't remember if there might be consequences to Karlach or Wyll regarding this. So staying paladin of devotion might be the safer bet if you care about either of them
LAEZEL
Battlemaster fighter
Champion fighter
Eldritch knight fighter
Keeper of the veil ranger: They specialize in hunting aberrations such as mindflayers
Oath of vengeance paladin: After Vlaakith betrays her
Any monk: After finding out about Orpheus' monk honor guard
War cleric of Vlaakith: Depending on your decisions this can be the entire game or just until after Act 1
Swords bard fighter: If you don't limit bards to dandy musicians and also see them as war drummers and you also see her somebody who has "stage presence" this definitely fits Laezel as somebody with presence both on the battlefield and off the battlefield
War cleric of Tiamat: Sure Tiamat is evil but she's also the goddess that gave mother Gith the red dragons which the Gith get to use. The red dragons Laezel is in awe of and really wants to ride. I can see Laezel being grateful to Tiamat for that. She's also not as righteous as Karlach or Wyll. If you side with the goblins. She won't leave the party over it. So Tiamat being evil really isn't going to be a deal breaker for worshipping her, if mother Gith was a cleric option then I would go with her instead
ASTARION
Gloomstalker thief/fighter: Cliche but as a vampire the gloom and shadows is just very on brand
Gloomstalker assassin/fighter
Bard: He has a theatre kid aura to him. Especially when you drop a building on him
Oath of vengeance paladin: If you make fighting Cazador the very last thing you do before the Elder Brain you could lore justify him being a vengeance paladin for almost the entire game because he hasn't yet achieved his revenge until then
Monk: The vampire spawn fight with their hands so why not Astarion?
SHADOWHEART
Before her Act 2 choice
Shadow monk: Worshipping a deity doesn't necessarily mean you need to be a cleric. Some people in this sub worship a god but that doesn't mean they're a priest. Shar is all about darkness and so are shadow monks
Tempest cleric: Shar's domain and it's basically one giant tornado and the part you're in is the eye of the storm
Shadowheart after her Act 2 decision if she frees Nightsong
Throwzerker: Finding out you were kidnapped and your parents have been tortured for fourty years can definitely be a rage driving force
Oath of vengeance paladin: Especially if you go with the route where she hunts down Sharran enclaves ending
Any cleric except trickery ( it sucks so much that even for RP reasons you would only pick it because you're challenging yourself )
KARLACH
*Oath of vengeance paladin:" Gortash betrayed her and she wants her revenge. She won't leave the party if you ally with Gortash presumably because she trusts you. For all she knows you're going to help her stab Gortash in the back at the right moment but then the brain beats you to it, which she's enthusiastic about. So if you hate the Gortash battle you can still have her as a vengeance paladin. But your high persuasion Tav helped her understand why revenge will be a lot more successful if attempted later rather than asap
Oath of devotion paladin: She is willing to be a hero and help people
Monk: She mentions being a bit of a brawler in her youth
GALE
Wild magic or storm sorcerer with one level in wizard dip and the headband of intellect:
You can use this dip for artistry of war, sights of the seelie etc
Gale wanted to get his natural intellect back after turning into a sorcerer but Withers said no because it won't be balanced, so Gale decided to settle on an item that gives him high intelligence
Gale has this magical nuke inside his chest. For the most part it's been stable thanks to magic items, but there is a part where it becomes unstable in that the magic item you give him barely works. He describes it like a mild drizzle trying to put out a forest fire. That instability can be the trigger to unlock his latent wild magic or storm sorcerer powers. You could headcanon that this moment also gives him brain damage much to his upset and you change his natural stat intelligence to reflect this, while using the headband of intellect to justify why he still speaks like an academic. You also use the headband to help comfort him over the brain damage he received. While it's not as good as his natural intellect it's better than nothing and he'll just have to get used to things
Eldritch Knight: IIrc Laezel offers to teach Gale how to fight. So maybe after Act 1 Gale has had enough training from Laezel to be able to be an eldritch knight
MINTHARA
I'm going to be bold and say archfey warlock: Hear me out. So if your Tav has high persuasion. Enough to easily roll a 25 to 30, and your Tav is also some sort of elf who would know about the different seelie patrons and their characteristics you could make Minthara see a pact as more of a partnership with a patron worthy of her respect
Who might this patron be? Imo Titania. Minthara's strengths will make Titania respect Minthara and vice versa
Here is a quote about Titania that demonstrates what I mean
She seemed flighty and frivolous to some, but in truth she was a brilliant strategist both in court and on a battlefield. She had a dry sense of humor and could be very pragmatic when needed.
Whilst Titania is a seelie and Minthara is a drow suggesting they should look down on each other. Even the most prejeduiced individual has exceptions and if this quote represents Titania then I can see Minthara making Titania an exception because Titania sort of reminds Minthara of herself and vice versa
HALSIN and JAHEIRA
They give so much druid energy I'm not particularly sure what other classes fit them, but I'm putting them here to show that I didn't forget their existence
MINSC
Bezerker barbarian

2024.05.01 06:50 HannoPicardVI "Bud Howe: Robot Hunter" Owning and manufacturing EX-9 robots is now illegal. You, a bounty hunter, make your fortune by hunting down EX-9s. 1:75 scale open world map of the Portland Metro Area

"Bud Howe: Robot Hunter"
Open world game set on a 1:75 scale map of the Portland Metropolitan Area in Oregon (231 sqkm playable area compared to ~17,300 sqkm in real life).
In an alternate future, the US Federal governmemt has made the ownership and manufacturing of EX-9 robots - deadly killer humanoid robots which sometimes like to disguise themselves in lifelike human skin - illegal.
You play Bud Howe, a "profit-seeking" bounty hunter who seeks to make his fortune by hunting down as many EX-9s as you can.
The cops won't stand in your way as you have your certified Robot Bounty Hunter license issued by the Federal government and you have a range of vehicles, aircraft and teammates at your disposable.
With your earnings, you can buy safe houses, mansions, vehicles, weapons and attachments, aircraft, hangars, clothes and much much more. You can also invest in businesses and enjoy yourself at many entertainment venues (bars, clubs, strip clubs, arcades, theaters, large malls etc). There are 4 airports, 2 jetports and 3 heliports on the map. There is also a rideable metro system and a fictional rideable monoral line (Portland Park Line serving the downtown and surrounding area).
You do get paid for "killing" the robots, but increased payouts and XP is awarded for the capture of the robots intact and with minimal damage. Beware, there are also NPC bounty hunters hunting robots, so competition is fierce.
In the game, there are also three main media outlets: the fictional Channel 10 News Portland, ASC Portland 9 and ONN America (Oregon News Network America). Many of their broadcasts can be seen around the city, on billboards, bus stops, shopfront screens and street screens. Sometimes, when you've either captured or deactivated ("killed") an EX-9 robot, cameramen and reporters from one of the three news station may scramble to the scene to report on the incident and get a few quick words from you. (ONN America is different from ONN International - an affiliate namesake station - another fictional media outlet, which according to ingame lore was shut down a few years ago after going bankrupt.)
The main campaign storyline has you employed by Von Braun Research Labs, a multibillion dollar New York-based corporation, to investigate the illusive "Savior" robot, a fully sentient EX-9 who presents himself as a "messianic figure" to other EX-9 robots and is thought to be the mastermind behind several attacks across the US and Canada as well as the continued production of lifelike human disguises, hellbent on achieving his goal: the robot takeover of America. You are tasked with investigating how he operates, his contacts and whereabouts, destroying his secret production facilities and halting his clandestine self-replication operation. After gaining your Robot Bounty Hunter license, you are then able to embark on the full campaign storyline.

2024.05.01 06:41 CitrusCosmos My In-Depth Hero Tier List

Greetings PVZH subreddit!
Today I wanted to present my take on the tier list. Note that I am not like some super competitive tournament player, but mostly a casual player who has garnered some opinions on the game I'd like to share. Tiers will be divided into S+ Tier, S Tier, A Tier, B Tier, C Tier and D Tier.
- I'll start bottom up with D TIER
Neptuna - I think she is probably the worst hero in the game. She's quite similar to Brain Freeze, who I'll discuss later, but her synergies are just very wonky. Stuff like MUG doesn't quite synergize well with Going Viral and if you go full Pogo, MUG, Yeti, there are certain plant heroes that will get stomped by that but most meta plant heroes can completely counter with a single Blockbuster (a very relevant card) to the extent she will not be able to make it back into the game. Her super is a very very good control tool though.
Spudow - I feel like the burst 3-nut decks have fallen a little out of the limelight - and even then, Spudow is probably the worst user of that archetype of deck. Guardian package is good, but any other class compliments it better than Kabloom, which is a class that doesn't really hold a lot of versatile cards when the competition are brainy teleports that can outvalue easily or Crazy class combo decks that can overwhelm Kabloom's aggro or control. Spudow's super is actually not bad. It can be filled into any lane and take down a powerful zombie + front a valueble plant, but still.. this hero is quite weak to me.
Solar Flare - Kabloom is not good lmfao. But Solar is amazing. Solar Flare is super fun to play, I have a blast playing her with molekale, pear paradise decks, etc. Competitive viability is not super high though, she really struggles against gravestones and cannot run metal heal combo decks well because of Kabloom limitations. Many players think Solar Flare is amazing and this might be a hot take, but I honestly don't find any consistent strategy with her. There's the often recommended Aggro Flare deck, but every single meta zombie hero can make it run out of steam and outvalue.

- C TIER heroes have some redeeming combos and strategies, but are overall still lacking meta qualities
The Smash - against the right type of deck, The Smash can run a player out of cards and outvalue immensely. He is often seen as the worst hero because of hearty/beasty being two support classes but when you have cards like cyborg, bounty hunter, extinction event + cards like black hole, flick, weedspray, there is a certain strength to The Smash where he can completely cripple and slowly bleed dry an opponent. It's just very matchup dependent so I can't place it higher. Plus, the hero is generally very slow and relies on out-valuing in a long game instead of making proactive plays with high damage combos.
Brain Freeze - BF has 3 quite underwhelming powers (Galvanize is pretty good though), but I think the selection of cards he has is a bit stronger than Neptuna. Area 22 naturally works better with graves and the cowboy + graveyard strategy is a bit better aided by the Beastly class. I think he just has more frightening combos than Neptuna so he'll be slightly above her. Additionally, when comparing the two's most meta decks, I believe BF's fair a bit better against most plant matchups.
Nightcap - This is very difficult to place on a tier list. However, his only viable strategy being cyclecap is very easy to counter. Nightcap is a hero that is very high-risk, high reward and can completely steamroll a match with certain combos but can also be countered by 2-3 bad turns and fall behind infinitely. I honestly have a difficult time justifying higher placement despite the hero's high moments and lucky plays being very potent. The saving grace is that bean synergy and kabloom is a combo that can decide games quite quickly when against an unlucky opponent with no answers. Let me know what you think of this placement :)
Captain Combustible - CC is a hero that can establish very powerful tempo and create win conditions. There are strong strategies with Lily and Veg Mutation, and of the dino roar cards naturally give you free tempo. However, he has very very little tools to answer opponent's threats. Kabloom does not have very good cards to remove stuff later into the game and megagrow isnt a class which has lots of solutions to meta zombie decks with teleports. Of course, I have to discuss the Re-Peat moss strategy with CC's super and Time to Shine. This combo is very strong of course, you can finish someone off with zero interaction from them in a turn or two. I argue though that this is wildly inconsistent as it requires you not only draw the exact combo, but also need your opponent to be clueless enough to rotate through your block meter to find the combo. Honestly, I just don't see the consistency.
Super Brainz - I will discuss Huge-Gigantacus later, but for the most part Brainy/Sneaky is not a very coherent combination and its strengths are usually very specific using HG's powers. There are some decks however, where SB's powers are better - but they are not as competitively relevant.

- B TIER will be heroes that are strong and overall viable, but do not define the meta
Beta Carrotina - I will discuss Citron later, but BC is generally weaker as her superpowers do not compliment CT's meta decks well. BUT she is still pretty good as they have access to the same cards.
Grass Knuckles - This is where the heroes start having more pros than cons. Guardian package plus stuff like Black Eyed Pea and Bananasaurus makes GK the king of tempo. Plus he has possibly the strongest superpower in the game - Time To Shine, and Rumble is actually a very potent superpower when used correctly (not on turn 1 lmao). You also have quite a strong finisher in Gatling Pea. This hero is overall strong, but lacks the extreme cheaply powerful mechanics of Solar class, which defines the meta in a monumental way. Also, certain zombie heroes are really adept at answering any tempo move GK can attempt, which makes him shy of being higher tier.
Electric Boogaloo - A hero that can establish tempo while (to some degree) control enemy threats thanks to having double bolt supers. Beastly/Crazy's main strength is the ability to make positive trades and stall for high damage combos - namely stuff like Binary + A22 or plays involving Secret Agent. You have a very solid selection of cheap cards such as Conman, Cheese Cutter, Dog WalkeCyborg and Aerobics. You also have fruitcake, final mission, etc to unblock lanes to hit face. These cards, and also Area 22 are often Boog's centerpiece in decks to remain competitive. The issue lies in its inconsistency in combating heal mid plant decks. Overall a solid hero.
Z-Mech - The other "double bolt" hero is in my opinion, equal with Boog. Just with slightly different strengths. Similar to Boog, Zmech is great at playing cards on a well-rounded curve but he excels more using rock wall and hearty treat to keep key zombies alive - these key zombies being either Teacher, Flag Zombie or Gargologist. These cost reduction cards are what makes Z-Mech good as he can "manipulate his curve" and accelerate a game plan to play threats before turns where opponent's answers are in the picture. Despite having control tools with hearty's flick, rolling stone, weedspray etc and crazy's fruitcake, final mission, etc, Z-mech's game plan is very much one of playing threats and removing enemy threats or buffing your own guys to keep them alive until you overwhelm the enemy. Solid hero as well, but struggles against heal as well.
Huge-Gigantacus - This hero is not as strong as the other brainy heroes to me, but still has a ton of viability namely using that one deck, Telimps - which has a game plan of teleporting toxic waste and other imps to control the field until it is favorable for you to end the game with blob or cowboy. You also have Ice Moon and HG Sig. The former is extremely strong because it not only auto wins you a trade, but allows you to potentially get a huge shot at face, and the latter while less valuable later on, can singlehandedly put you on the driver's seat for the first few turns if its your starting super. Overall very, very solid hero with some seriously unfair and game-changing combos, but a bit less consistent. The lack of deck viability also makes me question placing him higher.

- A TIER are heroes that are meta and very strong but has a slightly more glaring weakness than the S Tier.
Green Shadow - The most underrated hero in the game because almost everyone is playing her wrong. Going full aggro is not the way with GS. Green Shadow is very strong because you have the ability to both outscale and make good trades. You have cards like banana peel, violet and jelly bean to unblock lanes for a huge hit. These are options that make your game plan very unpredictable and sometimes even hard to play around. Additionally, you have b a n a n a s, why is this strong? Half bananas give you free insurance to outvalue while also trading and answering certain threats. For example, a Banana Split with only one half banana buff can win a trade with Cowboy, that's something to note because graveyard cowboy is often very hard to deal with. Furthermore, playing boosted B-Rexs on turn 4 is extremely scary for the opponent as for example, bolt will no no longer be an answer to it. Overall, easy value + the ability to unblock lanes and make decisive plays make GS very underrated. This is my main right now, and I really enjoy this hero!
Immorticia - Immorticia is a very strong hero that excels at control and high damage combos. You are able to both generate momentum and outvalue or make near one-shots to end games in a single turn with A22 and Trickster. This gives her a certain advantage against heroes that may take longer to get lethal, as heal becomes less of a threat to her. Being a brainy hero, Immorticia naturally belongs in the upper echelon of the game. However, she has two weaknesses. First, she does not outvalue Solar (I don't think anything does lmfao), she may have difficulty against Pepper + Lil Buddy and you will not have enough Rockets to answer everything. Second, unlike Rustbolt, she does not have an easy way to deal with ForgetMeNuts or Black Eyed Pea. Both these cards make it difficult for her to assume her game plan. Still though, very very strong hero that is often overlooked. My favorite zombie hero, I like vampires and witches and spooky shit :)
Chompzilla - A competitively strong hero due to possession of the Solar class plus Mega Grow's combo potential. You basically have a hero who can not only stall by making favorable trades and healing, but also have strong late game cards with Megagrow such as Gatling or Potatosaurus on top of Solar's already powerful late game too, making it worth to opt for ramp cards. AND Chompzilla also is able to establish some form of tempo with for example, Muscle Sprout and cheap cards like Kernel-Pult and Lil Buddy. Overall, this hero may not be the absolute strongest, but I find Chompzilla a very balanced and versatile hero who can opt for a variety of game plans in a single deck. This is the quality that makes her very strong, as it is harder to completely counter her.
Citron - Citron is a strong hero with a very complete and rounded out class of Guardian as well as the added Smarty cards which gives him a unique arsenal of cards that can counter just about anything thrown at you. Citron is strong to me because you have the ability to swarm the board and play very proactively, but you also have efficient answers to threats. As a result, its easier to finish the opponent off quickly before you run out of steam. It's also easier to focus on your own win condition instead of being suddenly overwhelmed by 1-2 bad turns. Also, Citron is the best user of 3-Nut burst, a deck that has seen less competitive viability but remains at utmost potential when partnered with bean synergy. Lastly, it is worth noting that Peel Shield is actually one of the best supers in the game - you can completely swing games to your favor with a 1 sun cost and a single card. The only weakness I can think of is that Citron needs to stay ahead or at least stay even. In a losing situation, Citron does not have Solar cards such as Cob or mass healing to bring you back into the game.

- S Tier are very competitively strong and define the meta
Professor Brainstorm - A hero I have never been really good at playing, but a hero with frankly, some of the most unfair mechanics in the game with trickster in combination with crazy package as well as mustache waxer. Brainstorm also has that infamous teleport garg-throwing-imp to punish team-ups with 2 free gargs - although with the lessened viability of 3-Nut, that specific interaction is a tad less relevant. Anyhow, I am convinced the brainy/crazy combination lends to some of the most potent card combos. Brainstorm does it all with good control tools, good finishers and a potent ability to overwhelm and swarm the board too. A very strong jack of all trades hero that always remains viable.
Rustbolt - In my humble opinion, Rustbolt is the best zombie control hero in the game as he is most suited to combat heal mid decks with his tools. Furthermore, he has an easier time dealing with anti-trick cards with weedspray, flick, etc than Immorticia can with nibble or extinction. The hearty brainy interactions also mean you can not only play strings of tricks with Teacher, but teleport in a Teacher to make it unanswerable which of course, lends to some really strong Trickster tech. What also makes Rustbolt shine is he is not limited to Trickster as much. He can run hybrid swarm decks mixing in trick-centric game plans to generate an overwhelming board similar to how Z-Mech would, but even stronger as you can teleport your minions in. Very strong hero as the hearty/brainy combination gives you very strong mid and late game. Although his early game is a bit less reliable, the combo potential brings him to S tier.
Wall-Knight - Super annoying hero who controls the best 2 plant classes. Wallknight's key strength is neutralizing the board and stalling for late game with heals, removal (including grave removal) and combos that punish attempts to aggro you early. There's not too much to say here as the guardian and solar are the strongest plant classes, so having both really presents the argument on its own as you command the two most nuanced and complete classes gaining full benefit from both.

- S+ Tier. These are the best heroes in the game.
Impfinity - Commonly agreed to be S tier. This hero is absolutely absurd with the combos, even without card draw and teleports. There is no other zombie hero that can play fast and burst down an opponent, and surprisingly gets even more dangerous with mid game combos. You have a host of ways to find answers and generate steam with graveboy, spacetime+quazard, binary stars, smoke bombs to hit face, rapidly scaling raptors, etc. There are many ways to find lethal with Impfinity, but also a sense of consistency in finding that lethal even amid potential threats to your game plan. I put Impfinity a little higher than Rustbolt and PB because with this hero, you arnt even playing control. Most of the time, you are completely in the drivers seat dictating the game to set up lethal. You are able to reach lethal faster too.
Rose - The best plant hero in the game, and maybe the best overall. Rose's synergies make it super difficult to punish her. For example, you have unique interactions with Rescue Radish to play active abilities a second time. Both aggro and late game trick-centric zombie decks suffer against Rose with pepper + lil buddy and cards like brainana and dragon respectively. There's just so little that can work around and outplay a good Rose deck. It's also worth noting her selection of supers are really good in conjunction, and that gives her a very very powerful kit. While Mog isnt a super strong power. Having both Mog AND Goat means you can answer a big threat for almost no cost not once, but TWICE. Weed Whack also answers some threats and Freeze can win you trades and cycle your deck. With Rose, you have tools to halt early threats, strong mid game combos and an unstoppable late game as well. She has almost every possible strength available to her. Fuck Rose.

Wow that was a lot of yapping, I am sick today though so I guess this was a nice way to spend my time. Let me know what you think, and thank you if you read the whole thing <3

2024.05.01 06:38 Oldiesarethebest Rogue likes/lites that give off extraction shooter vibes

The title says it all honestly. The only game I can think of that's slightly similar would be zero sievert. Outside of Hunt: Showdown, I'm not really in the market for another extraction shooter. I just want something similar, but not exactly. I know Quasimorph exists but it's pretty meh to me

2024.05.01 06:37 Olivyia Yet another feedback for thy game

Greetings fellow nobles,
I have been playing this game for hours on end since the release, it has scratched the itch that Banished and the Settlers have left behind. Few RTS make it to be worthwhile and replayable, this has the potential to be the next big one. I'd say its strength definitely lies in its realism, very few RTS have made micromanaging as important, shedding light about the struggles of building and managing a city, its population, its resources, and even its animals. My favourite game mechanics so far is the field fertility, even if it's not 100% logical, it's one hell of a concept to integrate into a game. For a one-man-show developer this is very impressive ! Kuddos Greg.
Now of course, I have my criticisms and some negative thoughts, but don't let that take away from your achievement; it's an unfinished game and you yourself know it better than anyone.
I won't go over every single unit or buildings, just some highlights and more on the macro designs themselves. Onto it then:
Oh and by the way, I LOVE the music.
Farad gesunde !

2024.05.01 06:37 Slow_Wanderer Worth it. (An honest Ghosts of Tabor review)

Worth it. (An honest Ghosts of Tabor review)
Welp, here's the criticism that got me banned. This game is good for the right people, but it's going to be a bad time for anybody else.
I'm not a YouTuber, I'm not a streamer. But I've spent a lot of time gaming. Combat Waffle is toxic, their entire discord needs to be purged and the server that hosted it, burnt.
Gaming taught me that I'm in control of my experience. That's gaming. You go off on a self directed or guided adventure out of your world and into somebody else's world and VR gaming is at the apex of immersive gaming. Obvious, right? Well not to the folks over at Combat Waffle.
Throw a bag of garbage on the sidewalk, it's just trash. But if you label that trash "early access", it apparently cuts down on the stink and justifies a price tag. Oh there's room on the table for DLC but let's not get into that. (Lil baggies of dog shit, but I'm not sure the mods would let me say that here)
Anyway y'all have fun. My current shooter recommendation is Contractors Showdown, but keep an eye on Ghosts of Tabor to see if it takes the path less Tarkov'd.
Toodles

2024.05.01 06:34 Electrical_Age9895 GO TO THERAPY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

I CANNOT TELL YOU how much I can't fucking stand people who can't be a fan of something a healthy or even a semi-healthy amount where they start being raging assholes about what they're into. And what makes me extra pissed is when they hide them being a dick behind "It's my special interest! Can't help it teehee!"
FUCK OFF. I HAVE AUTISM AND SPECIAL INTERESTS/HYPERFIXATIONS! I have loved the same anime characters and have made content about them since I was 14 (I'm 24 now), and you don't see me guarding characters that no one but the creator owns like a rabies filled junkyard guard dog!
There are so many more things I've seen first hand in fandom groups and "safe spaces" that would make this post miles long. No one ever really tried to come for me with things I'd post about in fandoms because I came in with the attitude of "the characters are fictional and this is my personal opinion/this is just a joke/this is using actual evidence from the source, so step off crazy bitch I'm not scared of you". But the amount of people I've seen (and knew!) get chased out of fandoms for the most inoffensive shit is appalling.

2024.05.01 06:33 anonscab4 Still love her.

This is going to be a bit long and it reads like someone on acid wrote it - sorry in advance.
I met my partner / possibly ex partners w suspected BPD about 18 months ago. Just to be clear, she has not been (to my knowledge) and denies ever been given a BPD diagnosis. She does however have depression, ADHD, ptsd, and is on the high functional autism spectrum.
Where to start...
We met online via Tinder. She was so fucking cute. Immediately we hit it off over text. We were both nerds. We're both progressive. We're both (kinda) homebodies. We were both looking for a real, long term, healthy relationship. Both hurt by people in the past - her having to process childhood and adulthood domestic violence, abandonment, sexual violence, and emotional violence, while I never had those specific events in my life. For about a month, we spoke constantly over text and 3 hour calls almost every night. She told me about her trauma. I told her about my experience with cheating partners. We both, as silly as it sounds, kind of grew close over the phone and via video chat. At one point during this, she split on me - freaked out on me for saying I'd be open to a friendship with a woman I knew and went on two dates with (after she said she might start a friendship with a dude who lives half an hour away but she knew that he was interested in a romantic partnership). I didn't recognize that it was a split. I just thought I said something stupid, but I was really confused. I second guessed my self at that point but continued talking to her because we had a lot in common and I thought she could be a person I could become really close with.
It took a month of talking before she was finally willing to meet in person. The first time was for 10 minutes in front of her house while she walked her dog. But i didn't care. I thought she was so pretty and quirky and cute. I was really excited to meet her and just actually give her a hug. I was so happy when I left. We finally built a trust base and she was comfortable enough to start inviting me over more. I was estatic. This cute nerdy and sweet girl wanted to spend time with me. I have about average looks and as a result, a pretty average self esteem - I thought she was much prettier than I am handsome. We started hanging out more. Soon after, we started having unprotected sex and we agreed to doing it all of the way. It was great. This is when she began needing constant reassurance that I wasn't going to leave her, cheat on her, lie to her. 15 times a day I would have to communicate that. I thought it was cute at first - but a couple of months in, I began to feel like she didn't believe me or trust that I had the best intentions at heart for her. I did. I wanted to be her stone.
After about a month+ of me going to her house 3-4 times a week, I finally got her to commit to coming to my house. Very first time she came over the street parking was a bit full and she had a panic attack and left. I was really hurt. I spent all of that time leaving my house, leaving my dog, my comfort zone, only to get denied because the parking wasn't convenient. Another early sign. I know now that's not normal. I would have gladly moved my truck for her. She went home instead. This was the start of her not coming to my house. In the past year and a half, I went to her house probably 150 times. I think she came here maybe 15 times. This is when she started splitting. Two months in. I didn't know what splitting was then.
Last March I had a friend from Spain in town for one night. She was jealous. We still had a good time but I sensed that she was ignoring me. I told her I needed a dude day or two - I was upset that she was ignoring me and she said that she wanted to give me space to be with my friend. I understand that and it would have been cool if she at least seemed semi interested in maintaining atleast text communication for two days.
This is when we started fighting quite a bit. Three monthsish in. It was always someone I said, didn't say, did, or didn't do. Every time. Not once did I start an argument with her out of thin air. She had said and done things that hurt me but I'm happier in a non conflict life and decided to not bring those things up. It could have been me forgetting to text her when I got home or being 15 minutes late on that. It could have been taking an hour to text her back because I was absorbed in a video game. It could have been me spending too much time fishing. It could have been me wanting to play Starfinder / Pathfinder on Saturdays. Bumping her w my elbow too hard by mistake. Not giving her enough hugs. Not believing in soulmates (I believe that a couple can be an incredible match but to believe that one person on the planet is your destiny is foreign to me - it lacks logic in my opinion). Supporting rape culture because I remain friends w someone who occasionally pays for sex. I shouldnt be near women or children because of that. Im not a feminist. Im a narcissit. There were 1000 things. Six months in is when she starts constantly accusing me of cheating.
Fast forward a couple of months. This is when the occasional stonewalling became biweekly. Jt was miserable. Threats of suicide followed by blocking my calls. Forcing me to leave my house to go to her. It was a way for her to control me. Starting fights on my way to the river. Around this time, I quit my soul sucking inside sales job. After 9 years in the industry, I was toast. I had saved a lot of money and decided to take 4 months off. That turned into 9ish but I just got my small business off the ground.
I feel constantly emotionally stunted. What's wrong with me? Is it me? Is it her? I don't know. I just know that I love this woman deeply. I know she has fear of abandonment. I'm not going to just be another asshole in the books. I'm going to prove to her that a man can be reliable. I failed.
About early summer of last year is when the fighting started happening a lot and I stated saying nasty shit too. I'm so embarrassed about it. I can't believe I said the things that I did. I can't believe that I allowed myself to stoop to that. I'm disguisted in my actions and what I've said. I hate myself for criticizing her mental health and her lack of support for that. I hate myself. I'm a terrible fucking person.
Still not working so i'm just fishing and enjoying the mountains 4-5 days a week. I make myself available regularly to still go to her house about every other day. We're still fighting twice a week. Terrible fights. Storming out of her house. Calling her a bitch. Calling her crazy. She's calling me a loser and a pig. Telling me that I'm cheating.
A year + of fighting, making up, sex, cuddling, repeat. A year of hardly doing anything outside of chilling in bed / on the couch and watching movies. I so desperately wanted to go out and do things. Movies, beer gardens, comiccon, rodeo, brewery tours - whatever, as long as it was together. Almost everytime we did something, we fought because I did something wrong. I can't be wrong all of the time, can I? My brain says no but this woman is saying yes. Am I emotionally stunted? Emotionally immature? I never thought so. Every personal relationship I have had up to this point has been healthy. I've never dropped a friend, even when we didn't see eye to eye. I have a healthy relationship with most of my exs even though I don't communicate with them - we never ended on bad terms.
I can't be friendly to our server without wanting to fuck her. I can't have female friends but she can have male friends and coworkers she speaks to regularly. I can't play video games w a buddy on Monday nights. I can't play Starfinder biweekly during the winter. I still did a lot of these things w the exception of talking to women but it was always an issue. I was always prioritizing other people and fishing over her. Even when I made it clear that I require some form of social life and that fishing is my life's greatest passion. I wasn't allowed to have those things without her being jealous of my life and happiness. Texting a male friend on Valentines Day after a nice dinner - she split on me for ignoring her. It was a thirty seconds exchange. According to her, I was texting a woman, even after spending so much time with her, getting her thoughtful gifts, spotting her a lot of money I'll never see again, taking responsibility of a high maintenance animal that I let her bring to my house full time.
I'm just constantly in a state of fucking up. 100% fucking up. Walking on eggshells. Stonewalled. Accused. Fighting. Me fighting back. Both of us saying the most spiteful and hateful shit ever. She said she hates me and wishes I was dead. I hate myself but value my life, even if it's full of chaos and toxicity. I later say the same thing. I regret that. I never hated her. I never wished anything bad on her. Even right now I don't hate her. Even right now, I find a way to love this woman and have compassion for her. Even right now, I wish we could have made it work. I wish we didn't fight. I wish we had love instead of this mess.
She wanted me to be everything. She wanted to be my everything. I need myself to exist and coexist with a person who respects that. I cant be the sole person in someone's life. We need different people for different things. She wanted me to be 100% emotionally available all of the time without reciprocating. I can't do that. I'm a bad person because I can't do it. I don't put that responsibility on her but I'm a shitty boyfriend because I don't have the emotional capacity to constantly process. We talk on the phone for 30 minutes a couple of days a week - I barely get to speak. She talks about work drama constantly - I'm a bad person because I want to talk about other things. Special days. Fucked. Holidays. Fucked. Anything outside of focusing on her. Fucked. Having my own life. Fucked. Being my own person. Fucked. Everything is fucked.
My grandpa died - no comforting. My childhood friends commits suicide - she understands where he's coming from. One of my best friends sister dies - didn't remember my best friend who is the only friend I have in this state. I'm burnt. Fuck my friends. I dont give a shit about your mom. Your friends are stupid. I feel guilty because I have a healthy family. I feel guilty because I have friends across the world. I abandoned and lied to those friends. Not anymore.
I said and did terrible things during this relationship. I'm deeply ashamed. I never harmed her physically but we both harmed and wounded each other emotionally and mentally. I know that a part of me will always love her.
Tomorrow is my birthday. We just got off the phone an hour ago. She refuses to acknowledge that she has wounded me and only blames me. If I bring up that she's hurt me, I'm deflecting. I'm weaponizing the things she told me. I have. She does too.
I won't see her on my birthday. I don't think Ill ever see her again. That makes me heart sink. I love her and I can't help it. I wish things were better. I wish we were happy and in love. I wish she knew how deeply I care for her. I wish that I never said those terrible things. I wish that she didn't find fault in so many of the things I did.
I know that reads like a person on the verge of psychosis but I'm just a regular, mentally healthy, and happy dude. At least I was. I will be again. It's amazing how some people can make you feel like such a scab but you can still find it in your heart to love them. Im sure she feels the same exact way about me. I love her. I want her to find happiness. I want her to heal. Im sorry that I couldnt be the person to show her the world isn't black and white. I'm sorry that I couldn't love you the way you needed to be loved. I wanted to. So much. I love you and I hope we both find peace. I'll always be here for you. I'll always love you.

2024.05.01 06:28 Kimmii_Likes_Anime [Android] [2019?] A game about a dude who was forced to marry because his parents was in debt.

I think I played this game between 2022-2023. It was about a guy who was forced to marry by his parents because they were in debt, when the dude saw the picture of the girl he refused to marry her and started a life in a village/city. This game was in Pixel Art style. There was 6 villages(I think) each with unique and different stores and activities to do. The dude works (theres different jobs so u can choose any you'd like) in the village so he can pay rent and debt. Theres love interests in this game so you can choose like one girl to date if you get close to her. You can feed dogs and cats in this game aswell. I think this game is Malaysian/Indonesian but I'm not sure about that. Please help my find this game 😭🙏

🔗Bushnell 7x50mm Marine Waterproof Binoculars - Superior Performance on the Water

https://preview.redd.it/sw6labworqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cfa989ce09505460ecc52e56e299814a32e3e9b9
When I first laid eyes on the Bushnell 7x50 Marine Waterproof Binoculars, I knew I had a winner on my hands. As a reviewer who enjoys taking boat trips out into the open sea, these binoculars seemed like the perfect companion for my travels.
First and foremost, the durability of these binoculars impressed me. Thanks to their rugged rubber armor grip, I didn't have to worry about dropping them or them slipping out of my hands. Plus, the fact that they were waterproof and fogproof meant I could confidently use them in various weather conditions without worrying about damaging them.
The 7x magnification and 50mm lenses provided an impressive field of view, allowing me to spot marine life and other vessels from a distance. The Bak-4 Porro prisms made the images crisp and bright, while the fully multi-coated optics ensured that the view was clear and free of distortion.
One of my favorite features was the individual eye focus, which eliminated the need for constant adjustments. This made viewing a breeze, even in low light conditions. However, the binoculars were on the heavier side, which made them slightly uncomfortable to hold for long periods.
All in all, the Bushnell 7x50 Marine Waterproof Binoculars proved to be a reliable and functional companion on my boat trips. Despite their slightly higher weight, they were well-worth the investment for their durability and exceptional image quality.

🔗Nikon Action EX Extreme Waterproof Binoculars: Premium Optics for Hunting and Boating

https://preview.redd.it/vqwv12eprqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1fd12e1cea1f1abc17f283e97e9f84d0477f1f6
I've been using these Nikon 7x50 Action Extreme ATB Binoculars for quite some time now, and I must say, they've been a reliable companion on my outdoor adventures. The bright multi-coated optics make it easier for me to see from different distances - whether I'm birdwatching or just exploring the vastness of nature.
One feature that stood out positively is the rubber eyecups. They're very comfortable to use, even for extended periods, and the detents make it easy to adjust them to find the perfect fit for your eyes. The 6.4 actual Field of View is another highlight, as it helps me spot even the smaller details in my surroundings.
However, there are a couple of aspects I wish were better. The focus function is a bit stiff, which can make adjustments a bit more challenging than expected. But, considering the price, I honestly can't complain too much.
In conclusion, the Nikon 7x50 Action Extreme ATB Binoculars might not be perfect, but they certainly do the job well. They're a reliable choice for those looking for a good pair of binoculars at an affordable price.

🔗Fujifilm Mariner 7x50 WPC-XL Binoculars - Fully Multicoated, Lightweight, and Compass Included

https://preview.redd.it/8ooxnhnprqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2be4feb3a2429cda46397e22f9b717a601d3fca9
The Fujifilm Mariner 7x50 WPC-XL Binoculars have become an essential part of my daily life. Their compact design fits perfectly in my backpack, making them convenient for all kinds of outdoor adventures.
The fully multicoated optics ensure that I get the most light transmission, enhancing my overall viewing experience. I particularly enjoy using these binoculars during sunrise and sunset when the natural light is soft and muted.
Another feature that stood out to me was the O-ring waterproof seals. I found this extremely helpful when I encountered unexpected rain or splashes of water. It gave me peace of mind knowing that my binoculars were safe.
The floating ability, facilitated by the provided floatation strap, is a game-changer for those who love using their binoculars near water or on boats. I've found myself more relaxed while using these, knowing they won't sink if dropped.
While these binoculars have been a fantastic addition to my gear, there's a drawback. The LED light and compass, while handy, don't seem to work as reliably as the rest of the product. As a user, I have had to replace the batteries, but it hasn't solved the issue completely.
Overall, the Fujifilm Mariner 7x50 WPC-XL Binoculars have served me wonderfully when it comes to long eye relief and non-vignetting images. They also cater to those wearing eyeglasses, which makes using them even more comfortable. Despite the concern about the functioning compass and LED light, these binoculars still prove to be an excellent, lightweight choice for someone who values quality and affordability.

🔗Navigator Pro 7x50 Binoculars with Compass - Waterproof Marvel

https://preview.redd.it/eep86m6qrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3933a762a15f7fdd29e92892fa949db9d388d749
I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Steiner Navigator Pro 7x50 Binoculars with Compass, and let me tell you, I was quite impressed. The first thing that stood out to me was the bright, high-contrast images that these binoculars delivered. It was almost like stepping into a different world, with vivid colors and sharp contours.
One of the most noteworthy features of these binoculars is the massive 7x magnification, combined with the 50mm objective diameter. This allows for an incredible field of view for spotting objects at a distance. Additionally, the liquid-dampened, shock-absorbing compass integrated into the design made navigation a breeze.
But what truly made these binoculars shine was their outstanding performance on the water. The Sports-Auto-Focus feature made it effortless to achieve crystal-clear images, no matter how far the target was. I also appreciated how easy it was to coordinate the binoculars with various water activities.
That being said, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. Firstly, some users mentioned that the product didn't quite live up to the high expectations set by premium, world-famous Steiner marine binoculars. A bit disappointing, considering the price point.
Overall, I found the Steiner Navigator Pro 7x50 Binoculars with Compass to be an excellent choice for recreational boaters, weekend anglers, and hobby sailors. While they might not be as top-notch as some of the pricier options out there, they certainly hold their own in terms of performance and value for money.

🔗Oberwerk 7x50c Ultra Binoculars: Compass-Enabled Binoculars with Moderate Magnification

https://preview.redd.it/6ueoi6iqrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a847196e3b19c7c54f05f4c1d3df54328713ea0a
One sunny morning, I decided to take my new pair of Oberwerk 7x50c Ultra Binoculars for a spin. As I was venturing into the forest, trying to spot some birds, I suddenly realized that the compass on the side was giving me the exact direction of my movement. That was quite helpful, especially considering that my sense of direction is pretty much non-existent.
The moderate magnification made everything feel more stable in my eyes. The images were crisp and the colors were vibrant. However, getting the image perfectly clear for both my eyes required a bit of patience and fiddling around.
What really caught my attention was the fact that these binoculars were completely fog and waterproof. It's quite rare to find a practical pair of binoculars that can do that. And the rubber-armored housing definitely added an extra layer of protection.
I think the one drawback might be the bulk and weight. It's not something you can carry around with you easily. But for serious bird-watching or outdoor activities, this pair of binoculars is a reliable and functional companion.
Overall, the Oberwerk 7x50c Ultra Binoculars was an enjoyable companionship during my hike, providing clear and steady images, a helpful direction tool and a dependable protection from the elements.

🔗Premium 7x50 Waterproof Binoculars with Rangefinder and Compass

https://preview.redd.it/kj10d0sqrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2d401a8a66ac66d79a5064840c036818f621be2
I recently had the chance to try out the Hooway 7x50 Waterproof Fogproof Military Marine Binoculars, and I must say, I was quite impressed with their performance. Firstly, the binoculars are designed to adapt to extreme environments, making them perfect for marine use. They're completely waterproof and even float in water, thanks to their nitrogen-purged feature.
The binoculars boast a 7x50 magnification with a 50mm objective lens, which provides a crystal-clear image. The Porro prism system ensures a wide field of view, and the premium BAK4 prism and fully multi-coated optics work together to create bright, crisp images.
I also appreciated the built-in illuminated compass for direction location, along with the internal rangefinder for determining distance and size of objects. The non-slip rubber armor provides a firm grip and absorbs shock, while the tripod adapter fitting allows for increased stability when mounted.
Overall, the Hooway 7x50 Waterproof Fogproof Military Marine Binoculars are a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality marine binocular. While there are a few areas for improvement, such as the individual focus type, the pros definitely outweigh the cons in this case.

🔗Marine-Grade 7x50 Binoculars with Compass for Rugged Nautical Conditions

https://preview.redd.it/5ldq983rrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7234bd748c3c7e0c42129dc17f6556b46277e26d
As a seasoned outdoors enthusiast, I've tried the Bushnell Marine 13-7500 7x50 Binoculars. To put these binoculars to the test, I decided to use them on my boat during a fishing trip. I was excited to see what they could offer beyond their water-proofing capabilities.
First off, the 7x magnification was impressive. As I scanned the horizon for schools of fish to reel in, I could easily spot even the smallest movements on the water's surface. The image quality was sharp, with vibrant colors that popped off the screen-like display. I could almost pretend I was diving into the clear blue waters myself!
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The binoculars did require a fair bit of adjustment to get the focus just right. Once I did have them in perfect alignment, the experience was unbeatable. But it was a bit of a hassle having to tinker around with the lenses all the time.
Another minor concern was the issue with the built-in compass. Although it worked fine, the light attachment seemed to have a faulty mechanism. I would press the button, but often nothing would happen. This meant I couldn't use the compass feature at night, which was a downer.
Despite these small issues, the Bushnell Marine 13-7500 Binoculars proved to be remarkably sturdy. During the fishing trip, I dropped the binoculars after a big catch. They took a 10-foot fall onto the wooden deck, but suffered no damage at all. That made me feel good about their waterproofing and durability.
Overall, the binoculars were pretty darn great for the price. They offered outstanding lens quality which made up for the minor drawbacks. With the addition of the built-in compass and waterproofing, they make a fantastic choice for those who love the outdoors.

Buyer's Guide

7X50 binoculars are a popular choice for birdwatching, nature enthusiasts, and outdoor activities. They offer a balance of magnification, image quality, and portability, making them suitable for various scenarios. This guide will help you understand the essential features, considerations, and advice when selecting 7X50 binoculars.

Magnification and Objective Lens

https://preview.redd.it/9o3aipvrrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82ab567964bf416eca03493b92133095f0dbc496

The "7X50" in 7X50 binoculars indicates their magnification power (7x) and the objective lens diameter (50mm). A higher magnification can provide better image clarity, but it might also reduce the field of view and increase the chances of image instability. The 50mm objective lens allows more light to enter, ensuring clear and bright images in low-light conditions. Consider the primary use of the binoculars and balance them with the trade-offs to select the optimal magnification and objective lens size.

Field of View

Field of view is the width of the area the binoculars can capture at a particular distance. Binoculars with a narrow field of view may offer higher magnification but can be challenging to track fast-moving subjects. A wider field of view can be more suitable for observing larger scenes or tracking moving objects. Check the binocular's specifications for the field of view and find a balance that suits your needs.

Lens Coatings

Lens coatings can significantly impact image quality and light transmission. High-quality coatings provide better protection against scratches and reduce glare and reflections. Look for binoculars with multi-coated or fully-coated lenses for optimal performance.

Image Stability

Image stability is crucial, especially for high magnification binoculars like 7X50. Some models offer image stabilization features to help reduce shake and improve image sharpness. Consider whether image stabilization is a feature you need to have a more stable viewing experience.

Built Quality and Durability

Consider the build quality and durability of the binoculars, especially if you plan to use them in harsh environments. Look for binoculars with rubberized housing for better grip and protection. Waterproof and fog-resistant features can also be beneficial, especially in wet or foggy conditions.

Weight and Portability

https://preview.redd.it/yovbtzjsrqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48ef0151074e3685c7c0ece2f5d4dec67d9d89bf

Binoculars should be lightweight and easy to carry, especially if you plan to use them for extended periods or hikes. Assess the size, weight, and overall design of the binoculars to determine if they're suitable for your intended use.

Price

Different brands and models offer a wide range of prices for 7X50 binoculars. Determine your budget and find a balance between the features you require and the price you're willing to pay. A more expensive pair may offer superior performance, but you don't necessarily need to spend a fortune to get a good-quality pair of binoculars.
Selecting the right 7X50 binoculars can greatly enhance your outdoor experiences. By considering the essential features, considerations, and advice provided in this guide, you can make an informed purchase that best suits your needs and preferences.

2024.05.01 06:20 junglehannah Just bought a 2017 C-Max Hybrid SE

It’s got 73000 miles and so far it’s been good (besides smoke smell lol). I need tips on anything I should get checked out specifically before driving it and continuing normal maintenance on it. Something that worried me was when cleaning it out I found dog hair in the battery intake vents in the trunk. I vacuumed it all out obviously but i can’t help but think there’s gonna be an issue later pertaining to dog hair in/around the battery itself. Thoughts?
Also- is there anything maintenance-wise that would be considered special for this car I should know about? Any tips for better MPG? Any ideas/inspo for upgrades in the SE? Tell me about what you do to maintain yours!
This is my first real car purchase (i inherited my previous car that blue-balled me right before i hit 200k due to rust damage). I’m just curious about what other people know from their experiences with the C-Max and how to make the most of the 10k chunk o change I dropped on this. I want to avoid any stupid mistakes 🫡 Thank you
(EDIT) Also - What came in the car? I have no manuals, tire patch kit, etc. only a small funnel in the trunk. I’ll have to hunt down these things

🔗Lee Precision 3-Die Set for 45-70 Government Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/rqewm5wuqqxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56656b4c917ea82aa94351d9c30aa463b08f5725
When I first got my hands on the Lee Precision 3 Die Steel Set, I was impressed with the sturdy construction. This set has everything you need for handloading your. 45-70 Government rounds, without any need for additional accessories. I appreciated the inclusion of the Lee Precision Steel Full Length Sizer die, which allowed for easy sizing without having to buy that separately.
One thing that stood out was the versatility of this product. With its included powder dipper and shell holder, it was a breeze to charge and seat my bullets, making handloading as simple as can be. Add that to the reliable crimping process and it was hard to find any faults.
However, like any product, it wasn't without its quirks. I found that the included Lee Precision Steel Full Length Sizer die required careful lubrication before use and needed the cases to be cleaned before charging. It also didn't come with a factory crimp die, which added an extra step to the process.
All in all, the Lee Precision 3 Die Steel Set was a reliable addition to my reloading kit. With its robust construction, versatile capabilities, and reasonable price, it's a product that any serious handloader should consider. Just remember that with any reloading equipment, patience, and attention to detail are key to ensuring a seamless process.

🔗RCBS Small Base 7mm Mag Die Set for Quality Reloading

Recently, I decided to give the RCBS Small Base Die Set a try. As a reloader, I was intrigued by the reputation of the RCBS brand and the promise of a high-quality set. The small base die set came with a full-length sizer die, expander-decapping unit, and a seater die. Vent holes on the seater die prevented case damage, and the seater die included a bullet seater plug and built-in roll or taper crimp.
Overall, I was impressed by the quality of the product. The dies were easy to use, and they functioned as expected. I specifically appreciated the expander-decapping unit's ability to remove spent primers and expand the case mouth. This feature was particularly useful when working with once-fired machine gun brass.
However, I did encounter a snag when loading certain bullets in a different caliber. The seating die's cup was too sharp and scratched the bullet tips. Despite this issue, I still believe the dies are a great addition to any reloader's toolbox.
I've found the small base die set to be an excellent choice for semi-automatic guns, ensuring proper functioning in the actions of these firearms. While the dies may not be the best fit for bolt-action rifles, they've proven themselves to be reliable and efficient for their intended purpose.
My experience with the RCBS Small Base Die Set has been mainly positive, making it a valuable addition to my reloading arsenal. The reputation of RCBS for producing high-quality reloading equipment is well-deserved, and this small base die set is no exception.

🔗Precision 223 Reloading Kit for Accurate Ammunition

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Lee Collet 2-die SET-7MM Express for reloading ammunition. The first thing that stood out to me was the compact packaging, which was perfect for storage and travel. The accuracy of this system really impressed me - it seizes the case neck against a precision mandrel to ensure a perfect fit with minimum run-out. This results in amazing shot start pressure, without any need for lube case or crimping. As someone who values efficiency and cost-saving measures, the 10x longer case life was an added bonus.
While the 223 Reloading Kit provided outstanding results, I noticed that it wasn't designed for hunting rounds. The neck-sized case and lack of crimp made me hesitant to use them in my hunting setups. Despite this minor limitation, the Lee Collet dies were incredibly reliable and consistently produced tight groups in my target tests.
Overall, this set was a joy to use and I appreciated the savings in case replacement costs. Highly recommend this set if you're looking to optimize your ammunition for target shooting or sporting goods!

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hornady Series I 2-Die Set for the 7mm-08 rifle caliber. I must say, I was quite impressed by the overall quality and craftsmanship of these dies. The heat-treated select steel construction guaranteed never to break or wear out from normal use, providing longevity and durability.
One of the standout features was the smooth polished elliptical expander, which offered a seamless release from the case neck and eliminated or reduced neck stretch. The sliding alignment sleeve and spindle lock design also added a level of precision and ease to the reloading process.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. Firstly, the lack of a shellholder included in the set was a bit of a letdown. While it wasn't a deal-breaker, it is something to consider when comparing to other die sets on the market. Secondly, I noticed that the bullet seating die left a ring around the bullet, which might impact the accuracy and performance of the rounds.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I found the Hornady Series I 2-Die Set to be a reliable and high-quality choice for reloading enthusiasts. The combination of accuracy and ease of use made it a valuable addition to my reloading setup, and I'm confident that these dies will serve me well for many rounds to come.

The Lee Precision 7mm Remington Magnum RGB (Really Great Buy) 2-Die Set is an affordable set of reloading dies for the 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge. This set offers great value, producing high-quality rounds with minimal headaches. My experience using these dies has been quite positive, with the Full Length Sizer Die and Seater Die working as expected.
One standout feature of the Lee 7mm RGB dies is their ability to restore any case to factory original dimensions without requiring expensive factory equipment. The Full Length Sizer Die is also easy to use, though it does require some lubrication to function properly.
However, there is one downside to these dies – they do not include a crimping feature, unlike some higher-end models. This means that you will need to invest in a separate crimping die, which adds to the overall cost. And if you want to use a specific type of crimp, you may need to purchase additional dies from Lee or another manufacturer.
Another slight concern is the locking ring on the dies, which some users have reported as flimsy and not as secure as other brands. Some have even opted to replace the locking rings with those from a different brand, such as Hornady.
Overall, the Lee Precision 7mm Remington Magnum RGB 2-Die Set is an affordable and competent set of dies for the avid reloader. While it lacks a crimping feature and has some concerns about the durability of the locking ring, the ease of use, and the quality of the dies for their price point make them an excellent choice for those on a budget who still want quality results.

The RCBS 13601 Full Length Die Set is the go-to choice for reloading 7mm Remington Magnum cartridges. I've been using this set for quite some time now, and I must say, it has made my reloading process much smoother and more efficient. With its precision-drilled and reamed design, these dies are built to last, providing long-lasting reliability even when used outdoors.
One amazing feature of this set is its full-length sizer dies for bottleneck cases. These dies have vents to prevent case damage, ensuring a perfect fit every time I load a round. The case is de-primed, expanded, and sized to the exact same standards as the finest gun mechanisms.
As for the seating die, it's a game-changer. Its built-in roll crimper makes securing the bullet a snap, all while seating it at the right depth. The hex lock rings are incredibly easy to adjust, and the hex head setscrews ensure a snug and secure fit.
That being said, there is one drawback I've experienced. The lock rings on the seating stem can be quite tight, sometimes even requiring the use of vice grips. This can make the adjustment process a bit more challenging.
Overall, the RCBS 13601 Full Length Die Set is a reliable and effective tool for reloading 7mm Remington Magnum cartridges. It offers precise results and durability, making it a top choice for any serious reloader. However, the lock ring issue can be a bit frustrating to deal with, but it's a small drawback considering the overall performance of these dies.

Recently, I've been using the 7mm Remington Mag Custom Grade Full Length Die for my reloading projects. The Zip Spindle design is a game-changer, as it eliminates slippage and allows for easy adjustments.
The Hornady Sure-Loc lock rings have made my experience even smoother by providing a secure hold without causing any damage. The straight wall sizing die features a titanium coated sizing ring, eliminating case sticking and requiring no lubrication.
I've noticed less friction and wear on the cases, which means they last longer. Overall, this die has made my reloading process more efficient and hassle-free.

I've been using the Lee Pacesetter Dies 7mm Remington Mag for quite some time now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer in my reloading process. The dies are designed for 7mm Remington Magnum cartridges, and they're made in the USA. What I appreciate most about these dies is their versatility - they come with a full-length sizing die, a bullet seating die, and a factory crimp die. The included shell holder and powder dipper are also great additions, especially because they're not typically included with other die sets.
Using these dies has been a smooth experience overall. The bullet seater and roll crimper work like a charm, and I've noticed that my rounds are more accurate when I use these dies. The shell holder is a lifesaver, too, as it keeps things organized and makes the reloading process more streamlined. Plus, having load data and instructions included is an added bonus.
However, one con I've noticed is that the locking ring on these dies can be a bit finicky. It doesn't always stay in place as I'd like it to, which can be a bit frustrating when I'm in the middle of a reloading session. But apart from that, I've been really happy with the Lee Pacesetter Dies. They've made my reloading process more efficient and enjoyable, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality, versatile dies for their 7mm Remington Magnum cartridges.

The all-American-made product boasted an ergonomic design and a user-friendly operation, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced reloaders. As if that wasn't enough, the plastic storage case was a thoughtful addition that kept the dies organized and protected. However, the lack of a shell holder was a minor inconvenience - I had to purchase it separately.
Adding even more value to the set was the extra decapping pin and allen wrench for lock rings. The spare decapping pin was a lifesaver during rough cartridge removals. The allen wrench made adjusting lock rings a breeze, allowing for precision when resizing cases.
Using the Redding 2-Die Set in my hunting expeditions, I was blown away by its performance. The adjustments were simple yet effective, and I noticed a significant improvement in accuracy. As a fellow reloader, I recently had the chance to try out the Lee Quick Trim Die 7mm PRC, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. This die is designed to hold brass cases securely while you trim their mouths, ensuring a perfect, square cut every time. And don't worry about compatibility, as it threads into any reloader press that accepts standard reloading dies.
One thing that stood out to me was its ability to work with a variety of popular calibers. The 7mm PRC die is just one of many options Lee has to offer. And while I had to purchase the Lee Deluxe Quick Trim Case Trimmer 717013 or the Lee Value Trim Case Trimmer 982472 separately, it was well worth the investment for the precision and ease of use this die provides.
Of course, there are some points to consider. Handgun calibers don't come with a die locking ring, which is only needed for rifle dies. Additionally, this die is made in the United States of America, which is great if you're looking to support local manufacturing.
Overall, the Lee Quick Trim Die 7mm PRC has made a significant impact on my reloading process, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accuracy and convenience in their case trimming efforts.

As a passionate reloader, I recently tried the RCBS 13601 Full Length Die Set with a 7mm Remington cartridge. The moment I started using it, I got hooked - no stuck cases, no broken dies, just a smooth and efficient reloading process! The precision-drilled and reamed nature of this die set makes it a match for the finest gun mechanisms out there.
The Full-Length Sizer Die really does its job by de-priming and expanding the neck to accept the bullet, all with vents to prevent damaged cases. The Seater Die with Bullet Seater Plug makes seating the bullets a breeze. I loved the hex lock rings - easy to adjust, with hex head screws for added grip. And let's not forget about the hand-polished finish, adding to the durability of these dies.
However, there was one downside. The lockset ring screws on the die locking rings were a bit of a letdown. They seemed quite low quality, causing damage the first time I used them. This could be a minor setback but may be a deal breaker for some.
Despite the minor inconvenience, overall, the RCBS 13601 Full Length Die Set has been a game-changer for me in my reloading journey. It's made a noticeable difference in the accuracy of my rounds, not to mention that I'm saving money by loading my own ammo. I highly recommend this product to fellow reloaders!

🔗Collet Neck Sizer Die for 7mm and 08 Remington Reloading

When I first received the Lee Collet Neck Sizer Die for the 7mm-08 Remington 91011, I could feel the precision and quality of the product. The die sizes only the neck, ensuring the perfect fit for fire forming.
One day, when I was taking apart an old rifle from the closet for some recreational shooting, the die made all the difference. The collet squeezed the case neck against a precision mandrel, allowing me to create a precisely aligned neck with minimal run-out. Not needing any case lube also added convenience. The die helped extend the life of my casings, making this reloading tool an essential part of my regular routine.
However, as much as I enjoyed using this product, there were a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the sizer die wasn't recommended for autoloaders, slide, or lever action guns. Additionally, the die required you to use only reloaded cases that had been fired in your firearm, adding a layer of complexity to the experience.
Overall, the Lee Collet Neck Sizer Die 7mm-08 Remington 91011 offers some brilliant features that made my reloading process smoother and more efficient. The precision of the mandrel and effective neck sizing stand out among the pros, while the compatibility with certain firearms and the necessity to reload with specific casings might be considered cons. But overall, a valuable tool for enthusiasts looking to perfect their firearms.

I recently tried out the Lee 90723 Collet Die 7mm-08 Set, and I must say, it has made quite the difference in my reloading experience. The package is compact and easily fits in any storage space, making it a great addition to any reloading kit.
What really stands out about this die set is the precision and accuracy it provides. The collet system ensures a perfect fit with minimum run-out, resulting in increased case life and enhanced overall performance. I found that I didn't need any case lube, which is a added bonus, and the cases lasted more than ten times longer.
However, like with any product, there are a few cons to consider. It's not suitable for autoloaders, slide or lever action guns, so keep that in mind before making a purchase. Additionally, while the dies are easy to use, it's essential to watch some tutorials to ensure proper setup of the collet die.
Overall, the Lee 90723 Collet Die 7mm-08 Set has made my reloading process more efficient and accurate. It's a reliable product that's definitely worth the investment, especially for those looking to improve their shooting experience.

2024.05.01 06:18 JR-Max Crack Theories, Thoughts, and Ramblings on Zestial and Alastor

Hi. I've been sitting on some thoughts that are potentially very cracked, but I wanted to share anyways and see what ya'll thought. (Warning: Issa long post. I just had one thought, but now I have a whole essay, what the fu--)
Does Zestial Own Alastor's Soul? I know this is at least a semi-popular theory, and it does make some sense. They both have their bright green magic, scarecrow motifs and stitches, even little skulls that appear with their magic. Alastor's a bit cagey around Zestial, from looking surprised at first seeing him to looking away to fidget with his bow tie when Zestial mentions "holy arms". He's certainly more nervous than we see him elsewhere. If not nervous then at least a bit more on edge.
The only thing that throws me off of the theory itself is the interaction between them. They walk side by side and speak to each other as equals, subtly poking each other for information. Zestial trying to find out where Alastor went and what he's doing helping Charlie, Alastor trying to get a read on how much Zestial knows and what others have been saying about him, with neither of them providing real answers. It's too...cordial, I guess? More "we're associates and respectable rivals in this overlord business" rather than "I own your soul", and Alastor's caginess could be explained simply by the fact that Zestial, ancient and powerful as he is, might be one of the few people Alastor thinks has a chance of figuring out where he was and what he plans before he's ready. If Alastor is already slightly on edge from being around Zestial, why wouldn't Zestial leverage that to get the answers to the questions he's asking if he owns Alastor's soul? (Maybe Zestial is too polite to do that in public, but judging from everyone's reactions to him I doubt it.)
I could be wrong and I'm open to changing my mind, but for now I don't think Zestial's the one holding Alastor's leash. I think they're both just some of the top dogs in the game, and have enough wits and respect to not underestimate each other. And that Zestial potentially has the upper hand of knowing one of Alastor's secrets, hence Zestial having the cooler head in their conversation and Alastor being more shifty.
Crack Theory/Headcanon Time I'm calling these crack theories because I'm too new to HH to really "stick" to any theories/HCs at this moment. Not as familiar with lore, still a fresh-faced fan, not sure how viable any of these are, etc etc.
Crack Theory/HC #1: Alastor and Zestial made a deal when Alastor was still alive.
If you go with the HC that Alastor was a voodoo practitioner when he was alive, then maybe (and it's a strong "maybe") it's possible that Alastor could have struck a deal with Zestial while he was still a living radio staserial killer. I'm not the most read up on voodoo practices, but I know there's a heavy emphasis on spirits and ancestors. It could be that at some point Alastor was able to commune with Zestial and strike a deal, with Zestial offering some supernatural power in exchange for...something. Maybe Zestial knew Alastor would come to hell and make waves, and wanted to curate some favor before then, make him feel indebted. Maybe Zestial offered power, and in exchange when Alastor arrived in hell he would use some of that power to cull some of the older overlords. Maybe something else entirely. Regardless, having some of that power when he was alive would explain why they have such similar motifs in their magic; it was Zestial's power to begin with. It would also explain why, although a bit cagey, Alastor is amicable with Zestial. No reason to be snarky with the man who helped you along. (A much MUCH simpler, more plausible explanation could be that they get their power from the same source, and anyone taking from that source has similar motifs. Maybe Roo?)
I do like the idea that they were aware of each other during Alastor's life, though, deal or no deal. Zestial's line of "Thou hath not been an enigma since thy manifested in this realm" coupled with the cheeky little one-eyed look Alastor gives him makes me REALLY want to interpret that line as "I could predict you and your actions while you were still alive, but since you came to hell you've been much more of an enigma." Why specify "since you manifested here" if Zestial's only ever known him to be in hell hmmmm?? /sarc (It's probably just a "you've always been a mystery" line, and Alastor's look could be just acknowledgment of "it's good to know that not even Grandpa Zestial can predict me", but let me have this okay) (oh my god wait zestial being al's ancestor -- *shot*)
Crack Theory #2: Zestial did own Alastor's soul, but not any longer. This is probably way more crack (somehow) than the last one, but I was also thinking that Zestial could have owned his soul once. A deal made in life, in death, whatever, whenever. And whatever or whoever has Alastor on a leash now got a hold of the reins when Alastor came to them seeking to get out of his contract with Zestial. Could be why Zestial specifically seems so interested in where Alastor went while no one else really seems to care. He saw/felt he no longr owned Alastor's soul, and now wants to know what happened. (Or freed Alastor when Al started taking out overlords.) (OR Z is just a curious old grandpa who likes having his spider nose in everyone's business.)
I really don't think so, but the thought came up as I was writing, so I thought I'd add it.
Crack Theory/HC #3: Grandpa Zestial?? Literally only thought of this as I was typing this...whatever the fuck this post is....out. But what if Zestial is an ancestor of Alastor's? (You know, way, way back.) There's no physical similarity that we can see, but forms change when you die, and there's likely enough time and genetic variation by the time Alastor was born that maybe the semblance was just...bred out, showing up only in that their magic is similar (because voodoo). The amicability and respect could just be a byproduct of family/ancestor-driven respect. (It also changes Zestial's "how art thou? it has been an age since thou hast graced us with thy presence" into "how are you, why haven't you visited your grandpappy lately?? I never get to see my grandkids anymore" which is hilarious to me). Like most of these thoughts, I doubt it's really the case, but it'd be fun if it were.
Anyways I think I'm done rambling. To anyone who stuck it out and read this word vomit, thank you. And to anyone who stopped halfway through or thought it was a waste of time, I'm sorry, I just needed to get these words out so I can focus on actually important stuff. Hopefully there was something fun/interesting in here and it's not all silly garbage.
