2024.05.14 09:08 VilkasVision Things That NEED Changing
A lot of this stuff may have already been covered but I just want to give my two cents.
1) We need female ai and player enemies. To be honest I didn’t check the character creator enough to verify, but all I ever see is dudes on the game. I would really enjoy having a ‘cartel muscle mommy’ as a n enemy boss.
Good now I have your attention…
2) The AI are super broken. We all know it. The aimbot hip fire kills across a zone of interest are starting to get on my nerve. Like I get 5 seconds of continuous arm stamina to pull off maybe one or two headshots on stationary AI while I’m stationary, and the ai is just like, ‘React, Spin, Hipfire Kill.’ And it seems like it’s only gotten worse since ai reach level 29.
3) The suppressors have to actually do something for the ai for me to use them. From what I can tell, the ai is aggravated regardless of the use of suppressors. The ai should become suspicious, not immediately activated by the sound of the suppressor unless they were hit or they were in direct eye line of another enemy ai. The ai should aggro even more if they find a body. At this point the only thing the suppressors do is alert enemy players that I am in the area. I know because that’s what I do against the enemies.
4) LZ camping. Easy fixes include random placements within a certain area with smoke discharge from helicopter.
5) Fratricide. My proposed fix is after two instances of friendly fire (does not have to result in kill could just injure, i.e. if a total of 200 friendly HP damage - assume each player has a total of 100HP is dealt within a single life) the player is now marked as AWOL. A bounty is placed on the AWOL allowing all friendlies to hunt. At the same time a group of guard AI from the base get into a helicopter and fly to the nearest LZ to eliminate the AWOL. The guards are killable and only one helicopter of guard AI will be sent out.
6) Base Raids. They should be more fun and flushed out. There should be an ability to initiate an official raid on an enemy base after having trekked from a preexisting LZ. When the raid is initiated (either by flare, task, timed event, etc) two friendly LZs should spawn in proximity to either the enemy starting town or base. These LZs will remain active for the use of 3 to 5 reinforcement helicopters each and one exfil chopper from each of the newly spawned LZs.
7) General bug fixed and optimization. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been killed by an ai that’s stuff in a wall, floor, or ceiling and can shoot through it.
8) Gear FeaEconomy/Loot Pool. It’s too easy to get gear. Maybe that’ll change with the introduction of new lootable items and gear. I don’t think I’ve dipped below 200k since level 7.
9) AI health and seeming invincibility. Maybe it’s a server issue, but holy cow… you dump a full 60rd M855A1 into an unarmored skinny and they’ll still spin around and one tap you. That NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
10) Faction ID. We need to be able to better distinguish teammates. Optional armbands would be a start. Also dog tags would be awesome for tasks or collection.
11) More task variety. I’m level 29 (~100hrs) and I still haven’t gotten any specifically PVP missions.
12) Stamina. Give me some way to improve my stamina without having to take the in game drugs
13) Helicopter Speed/redirection. The meta is already to switch servers if waiting for a pick up takes just as long as finding a new server. Speed it the heck up or give more chopper. Also give us the option to redirect the helicopter when on the helicopter. Also to see where a chopper is heading to prior to it landing at base camp.
14) Coma. Allow me to activate a beacon friendly visible within 250m so that as a solo I don’t always waste my Coma state.
15) Logs, Roots, twigs & pebbles, need a rework so that I’m not getting caught on every single thing while walking in the forests .
These are the things that irk me right now. Feel free to add in the comments.

2024.05.14 08:59 sunflowersss3 for anyone who likes the submaker iwiigi
do you want your own free iwiigi custom sub? before i started just using one homemade sub, i was a devout iwiigi user. however i realised that in most of her subs it just seemed like a string of affirmations under masking noise - no layers, or anything else that would make replicating her subs hard. i think the simplicity is really the reason why her subs work so well; she doesn't mess around with layers or too-loud music.
432Hz Small Upper Body! I think in this patreon sub she forgot to lower the volume enough, so you can clearly hear how its just regular simple affirmations under the sound. (if not, just keep increasing your volume. youll hear it.)
now, the great news? you can have your own dream iwiigi paid sub, and itll take you about as long as you need to write the affs!
432hz Deep Brown Noise in HD Stereo ( 1 Hour ) (youtube.com) Here is the brown noise that i think she uses - you can test it by playing it right after most of her subs and you'll see that its the same audio.
then just use
ttsmaker.com to make your affs. choose a voice -i like voice 23, Jennifer - speed it up slightly - i do 1.75x or 2x - and then find some way to play it under the brown noise. since im on a laptop, i just play the affirmation file on loop while the brown noise plays in another tab. I can hear loud whispers, and every once in a while i catch a word. i prefer to listen to my sub while doing something else e.g. homework so that i can increase the volume of the affs so it more clearly enters my subconcious. i do recommend using it like this if you have a laptop, because adjusting the volume of the affs seperately to the volume of the brown noise is so useful in terms of adapting your subs to fit you day-to-day.
if you want to add the brown noise to the affs to make a new video, i recommend using capcut and then copy-pasting the aff file (should be like 1-3 minutes) over and over so that the brown noise isnt stopping and starting every minute or so along with the affs.
oh, and i get that some people cant be bothered, so i have a youtube playlist with a bunch of her patreon subs if anyone wants it. just keep in mind that making your own sub means you can have whatever affs you want, and you never have to worry about waking up one day to the 'some videos in this playlist have been hidden' notif. kisses! xx

2024.05.14 08:58 Keksis_the_Defiled Degree Regret
Wondering how many people feel as though they've come to the realisation part-way through their degree that what they're working towards is going to end up being little more than the thing on their resume to get them hired over the guy without tertiary education, and that they feel they haven't really learnt all that much?
I've done decently throughout my degree (in my final year), and have really tried to take an interest in a number of the topics being taught, but every course just feels like another chore and not something actually useful post-graduation. I feel as though my prospects of a great career solely using this degree aren't really that strong either, and I don't feel like really pursuing those jobs anyway due to my lack of enthusiasm in the content, but I feel as though I've sunk too much time and money into this degree to pull out now, relatively close to the end (sunk cost fallacy etc.) so... I just keep going, knowing I'll feel only marginally more knowledgable on any topic than I did before I even started studying.
Yeah, I know I should have dropped out sooner, but a mix of optimism (i.e. hoping I'd like it more once I got stuck into the 2nd and 3rd year offerings) and lack of other options at the time kept me in, and now it feels like a massive waste of time apart from the stupid reality that simply having a degree increases general employability (apparentyly).
How common are these sort of feelings of regret about one's degree? I'm sure I'm not alone but maybe more people just drop out early rather than FOMOing themselves into staying?
Feel free to delete if these kind of posts/rants aren't welcome :)

2024.05.14 08:52 AncientPC Thoughts and tips after climbing to 10k in 2 weeks.
Yes, I had a lot of time. I originally played this game when it launched during the pandemic and stopped at 1k trophies, and picked it up again ~3 years later. I want to share my thoughts about the last ~15 days while it's still fresh and answer any questions people might have.
I have a 43% win rate in 3600 BR games, and 300+ games with each of the following heroes: Angel, Bastion, Blizzard, Blot, Cyclops, Ghost, Levi, Lynx, Ramsay, Raven, Sparkle, Vi. I have the most fun with Angel, Raven, Ramsay, and Lynx.
I've unlocked every hero except Alice, paid for Blizzard and Vi. I have a full pg set and two skins waiting for when she arrives.
Trophy Tiers
Broadly speaking, the percentage of poor players decreases as you gain higher trophies. Being completely honest, I saw a bunch of mistakes made by enemies, teammates, and myself at 9k trophies. At 10k+ trophies, most of the mistakes I see are my own.
Low Tier: <3k
I have a second account on an old phone at this tier that I use to play under powered / rarely used heroes in casual games. It's mostly bots and occasional humans with rudimentary gameplay.
Mid Tier: 3-7k
People are still misplaying all the time, but in general are improving and trying to coordinate as a team. Pickup teams are pretty easy to create and people are generally pretty friendly. Honestly, I probably had the most
fun at this tier since I enjoy playing the game casually with a variety of heroes and different team compositions (vs trying to win all the time).
There's still plenty of bots in offpeak hours.
High Tier: >7k
This is the first tier where it starts to get competitive. Relatedly, this is also the first tier I started seeing bad manners and griefing.
Early on when I was around 2k, I teamed up with some high trophy players and played in 10k games. That's when I learned first hand
how much faster and aggressive the game was. On certain maps (Bank, Village, Hotel), fights will often initiate after picking up ~2 items.
As for bad manners, I'm used to it from playing plenty of other online games but enjoyed the fact that Bullet Echo largely doesn't have it. However at 7k+, now you get a lot of people bm'ing when they kill you, if two people fight over an item, etc. It most commonly manifests as sprays/stickers, but also a lot of head shaking and the occasional teamkill grenade for taking "their" item.
Pickup teams are a lot more mercenary. People join up, and if the team loses 1-2 most will leave; there's little to no chat banter anymore. If someone misplays a few times, they often get kicked from the team, the team is disbanded, and/or they get defriended. This, uhh, has totally
never happened to me.
10k
The "end game." Heroes' power typically ranges 1650 - 2200 (Ultimate level 70 to Divine). There's relatively few bots during peak times.
The games are fast and brutal, and any small mistake is quickly exploited. My winrate has dropped significantly even when playing my better characters, but I'm learning. Pre-10k, I'd typically open 3x battle and skull chests under 30 minutes. Now, opening battle and skull chests has become significantly harder.
Bravery Road
I don't have any experience with this tier since I lack Divine heroes. Others have shared that it's mostly full of bots.
Heroes
Tier List
This is based on 9k+ trophy BR in the hands of a good player:
- S: Vi, Lynx, Mirage
- A: Blizzard, Ramsay, Raven, Dragoon, Angel, Freddie, Arnie
- B: Firefly, Shenji, Ghost, Alice, Leviathan, Hurricane, Satoshi, Sparkle, Tess, Levi
- C: Blot, Bertha, Doc, Cyclops, Slayer
- D: Bastion, Stalker, Smog
Bastion
Bastion is great for bot farming and low / mid tier gameplay, but is easily outplayed in 7k+ games. I had a bunch of Bastion friends that I invited to 7k+ games and they've always left after a few games due to being outplayed.
Outplaying Bastion is usually done through kiting or baiting and flanking with teammates since their range is too short and movement speed is too slow. Bastion (and Blot to an extent) is outclassed by more mobile shield heroes: Angel, Hurricane, Satoshi.
Leviathan gets a special call out since his turret is great for zoning and has extended spray that can be abused to hit behind walls.
Grenade Users (Firefly/Shenji/Sparkles/Freddie)
Pre-10k, most of these are terrible nade spammers hoping to get an easy kill. I've seen so many Firefly users use more nades than bullets in a round, adding little value chucking nades into thin air. Shenji users, please use your nades to zone the enemies and less about trying to kill them. Also stop burning the grass because you can, especially when you're up against snipers.
Vi
My win rate with Vi is significantly higher than the rest of the field, which shows how broken she is. Even in 9k+ games, the winning team usually has at least one Vi. I think she needs to be nerfed, and she's my most played and highest leveled character (Stellar).
I also have some bad experiences after teaming up with a bunch of Vi-only tryhards (about 6-8 different teammates for 5+ games each). They're generally incredibly aggressive and good at racking up a high kill count, but often lack map awareness or team dynamics (besides spamming, "Let's go!").
Tips
League
Climb as fast as you can, as high as you can since you get more loot per chest depending on your league level, and streaking gets harder the higher you climb in trophies. Bot farming (read below) is the easiest way to streak games and hit the next league level.
I think there is an argument to be made about staying in purple 1. I found it significantly easier to win most of the contracts at purple 1, but I was grouped with all the other grinders once I hit purple 2. This may or may not be a red herring.
Spending Money
Contracts
- 7 day contract hacks (and assuming you have enough time to grind) is the most effective use of money.
- Consistently winning the 21 hr contract for 300 jokers is paramount.
- 3 hr contract (particularly in off hours) can be pretty easy to win for 20 jokers.
- Read the contracts carefully. Often you can use a hero to progress against 2 or more contracts simultaneously.
- Bot farming and SvS is usually the easiest way to quickly get contract points.
- Ghost in KOTH is a great way to grind "The Collector" contract.
Star Pass
- I don't mind spending $15 to get the new hero via the base pass, but I don't think the premium pass is worth it.
- I didn't get tiers 2 and 3 for Vi but still got her to Stellar with a lot of grinding via contract hacks and jokers.
Technology
It's $10/mo. You get a random hero motivated and 8 drone plugins (2 of each color) per week, and 10 tech tokens/day. 70 tech tokens/week is enough to get drone blueprints, 2xpersonal gears boxes, some squad gear, 500 nuts, and 5 costume tokens. Also your name is highlighted in gold.
I think it's great for the first month or two for the personal gear and drone parts, but not sure if it's worth keeping afterwards.
Bots
Recognizing bots means you can adapt your strategy when playing with and against them.
Identification
Pre-game
- in the same bot syndicates: CCCP, Botsavethequeen, Botdamnit, 486DX, etc
- are listed after human players
- don't have drones
- never play as the newer characters: Blizzard, Vi, Shenji, Ramsay, Lynx, Tess
You start recognizing the bot names after a few hundred games.
In game
- immediately opens chests
- goes in a straight line while swinging their flashlight, humans tend to run with their flashlight facing forward except when checking corners
- doesn't use any abilities
Farming (BR, SvS, sabo, koth)
Bot farming is a great way to hit the streak for a league jump or grind for festival tokens.
I find sabo, SvS, and sometimes arcade in offpeak hours (or other region's servers) the easiest modes for bot farming.
Generally bots will collect a few items and start roaming looking for enemies. If a firefight ensues, the bots will start swarming towards noise like zombies.
The best characters to farm bots are those that can do a lot of damage without taking any themselves. Since bots will run in a straight line towards you, assault rifles and snipers excel at bot farming.
Recommended heroes: Bastion, Satoshi, Blot, Hurricane, Levi, Firefly, Blizzard, Cyclops Not recommended: Ghost/Stalker (bots are not affected by cloak), Slayer (fire rate is too slow), SMG users (can't reload fast enough when swarmed)
As teammates
It sucks to get bots as teammates, but if you understand their behavior you can take advantage of it to try and win the round.
- don't get sucked into unnecessary fights, let them die and don't bother reviving
- use them as dumb scouts to flank the enemy
- treat the round as a training exercise on how to win one-vs-many fights. It'll happen more and more often as you climb trophies
Drones
- medpro is great for tanks, assault rifles, and attacking SMGs (Angel, Alice, Freddie, Ghost)
- zenith is great for snipers, Raven/Ghost, 10k+ games
- guard is useless except for the occasional ability to zone enemies
Zenith gets increasingly valuable in 7k+ games as you never have time to revive and/or enemies will camp dead bodies. Zenith's ability to revive through walls can also be exploited.
In game tactics
This is already a long post, so I'll brain dump common improvements / mistakes that I come across. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.
- Don't be greedy and go after risky upgrades. More often than not you're going to get sucked into an early fight. Even if you win that one, you'll quickly get swarmed by bots and/or other teams. It's not worth losing a round because you might get a purple upgrade.
- Don't be greedy for early ammo and upgrades. In 7k+ games, fights can/will happen by the time you've picked up 1-2 items. Taking multiple ammo means losing an effective teammate that can shoot a weapon. If you're a low ammo user (e.g. Vi, Slayer, Bastion), opt for a 2x or 3x ammo pack and leave the 4x ammo pack for high ammo users (e.g. SMGs, assault rifles). Leave and ping optimal upgrades for teammates. This means reserving scopes for snipers, armor for machine gunners, extended magazine for SMG/shotgunners, explosive ammo for DPS.
- Shotgun users should heal at spawn and save the armor pickup for others.
- Generally stick together as a team.
- Don't follow suiciders (bots/humans) and get sucked into unnecessary fights, preferring to fight 2v3v3v3. Yes this conflicts with the above bullet point.
- Learn the map. This means knowing where are the spawns, purple chests, hot zones, and choke points. This means you can anticipate where you'll need to slow down and prepare for a fight (e.g. early game near purple chests). In low/mid tiers, human teammates often run straight for a neighboring spawn while completely ignoring the safe purple chest right behind them because they run straight ahead in the direction they were facing when spawned. I find it easiest to familiarize myself with maps by using heroes with high vision like snipers (particularly Lynx) and Raven.
- Develop map awareness. You can tell who is left based on the gun sounds and the weapon in kill notifications. Generally avoid fights with many teams remaining, and go after the last two teams as they're fighting. If machine gunners are remaining, try to find open spaces. If snipers are remaining, try to initiate fights near corners and obstacles. In low/mid tiers, human teammates will often emulate bots and run straight towards the fight with a complete lack of map awareness.
- Good Shenji users use grenades to zone enemies rather than outright damage. Bad Shenji users kill their teammates / prevent them from being useful. If you're playing with a Shenji teammate, expect that they're going to nade everything and act accordingly.
- Tess users should try to use the lightning ball judiciously against enemy shields or to zone, and not disable their teammates' shields and abilities.
- Cyclops/Raven users should not spam their skill early game, and used selectively late game. It gives away your position and in high tier games only invites unwanted attention. Learn to use scan offensively and defensively when appropriate. At higher trophies, it can be used as a feint for an invasion or to lure enemies into a trap.
- SMG users should use stimpacks offensively rather than only to heal.
- There is a time to initiate and time to fall back. In early/mid tiers, people need to learn to retreat more often (and communicate it to their teammates). I wish I had more actionable advice, but I can tell when a fight was initiated well or poorly. Don't attack that unsuspecting enemy just because you can, but attack if it's the right time to do so.
tldr
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Bullet Echo, bots and all.

2024.05.14 08:50 Taytay-swizzle2002 How Serious Is It?
So I did a bad thing. I looked in the random aches that feel a little like cramps I get every once in a while in my balls. I searched it and well I assume it's nothing I curious if anyone else has this happen. Typically it will occur in pants that don't have enough room for my guys. Sometimes I'm free balls and sitting down. I have thick thighs and as much as I would like to believe my boyfriend, he says they're big, so idk if they and if that can play into them not having enough room. I did the check as I do from time to time and it all feels like it typically does. As it always has. The pain is rarely unbearable, only when I am positioned wrong in tighter pants, sitting for too long in a car or have my legs remotely too close together. I.e I have to man spread. In just curious andnlitel concerned.

2024.05.14 08:31 CodyakaLamer Thinking about switching to Walmart+ thoughts?
Hello all,
I've been using Amazon for so long I can't even remember. I've always loved Amazon for it's reviews and Q&A section in a product and customers can post pictures and videos. I live in a rural area and Amazon was 2 day shipping before COVID but gotten longer since after to the point I have to wait almost a week. I've used to use eBay before Amazon and what sold me using Amazon is the reviews, Q&As, and quicker shipping. Now I'm debating on switching off of Prime because their customer support don't know anything.
(You can skip this part if you don't care about my issue I'm having) This year I've found out about Amazon Household. Since me and my dad uses Amazon for a lot of things (especially for car parts) to save a little money we just go half on buying a year worth of Prime. My dad and I had our own Prime account and when I added him to my Household I thought it'll cancelled his Prime and then put him on mine, nope still charge him monthly so we cancelled his Prime. Then we notice Amazon was still bugging him to join Prime even being on my Household. So I removed him and saw there was a 180 day wait, I contact Amazon, and they renew my wait. I re-added him and still having issue with sharing Prime. So I contacted Amazon; they wanted me to remove him again and readd him. So I did and still didn't work and told them. The person told me to remove him, wait 24hr, and then contact support to add him back (most likely didn't know how to solve the issue, instead of saying idk just wait tll 24hr so I don't have to support you). So I'm on chat as I'm typing this post finally gotten hold of a "specialist" (updates soon). Been on chat since 1130pm to 1:12am. Update: Finally got told since I'm on discount Prime student I can't share Prime even though I'm able to make a Household as long I'm Prime but now allow to share it... Tbh I think it's dumb for even letting me create a Household with no warning except if you dig deep in their policy website in the support it tells you. But on the household page doesn't mention anything about it or gives a warning "hey we detected that you're a Prime student and aren't allow to share Prime benefits, do you want to continue?"
Thinking about switching to Walmart or even Walmart+. My closes Walmart is about 15mins away. I did some looking on Walmart site and saw I can get my some items next day shipping and the shipping cost isn't too bad consider I would get it next day or spend more to get free shipping. But with Walmart+ I can get free shipping with any purchase (to my understanding) and Paramount+ free (never had it before but seen some shows I might be interested in). Also I like the idea I can return my product to a Walmart store where I don't have to drive 40min (granted I work in that area anyways) to return an item and hopes it gets to Amazon.

2024.05.14 08:25 PRSJ_13 Fear of breaking bland diet causing worse symptoms?
I just commented this on a post but wanted to see others experiences/ thoughts on this viewpoint- I will give my back story for context
I have been suffering with gastritis for 4 months (also have GERD and have had these symptoms for roughly the same amount of time in Jan last year) GI initially thought I had eosinophilic oesophagitis which was not confirmed by scope. Through trial and error I discovered that gluten triggered my symptoms and stopped eating it for 8 months which resolved my symptoms by around may last year, roughly 3 months into diet. During that time I ate healthy, home cooked everything, ate a wide variety of foods, spices, vegetables + meats and dairy. I mainly restricted processed foods, alcohol, chilli and acidic tomato. (I could eat everything and drink alcohol once healed)
Fast forward to Jan this year, symptoms make a comeback with a literal vengeance but I am GF so no idea what is causing it. Got an endoscopy and confirmed moderate linear gastritis with erosions + mild oesophagitis (non-allergy related and no signs of coeliac but I was gluten free @ the time of scope)
This led me to try to do things differently than last year because I assumed gluten was not the sole cause of this problem and wanted to rid of it forever, plus I had a diagnosis. So this sub reddit (bless it’s fkn soul) was my source for healing and I began the bland diet, cutting out literally everything except for rice, chicken/ organic gf chicken sausages, eggs and salmon (as I went on I included oats and home made almond butte a variety of herbal teas)
I followed an extremely strict supplement regimen without ppi (they caused a nervous breakdown when I tried them the year prior) I used MSM, collostrum, collagen, gelatin, Manuka honey (actually a god send and strongly recommend) and as I went I added coconut kefir, cabbage juice twice a day and aloe Vera juice twice a day.
I literally did not step out of line with this diet for 3 whole months. Not one mouthful, whiff or taste of a food outside of that and diligently took my supplements every day. I saw considerable improvement after the first month and then into the second month I stalled.
This is where it is interesting because I booked a Europe trip in October before relapsing, and I was without exaggerating, absolutely terrified of going over there with this illness. The thought of not being able to control my food/ bring my juicer for the cabbage or find dairy free kefir actually made me feel sick. And I think many of you can relate to that.
Anyway fast forward to 2 weeks before the trip, I’m about 75% better and have good days and bad days, I think it is important to note that the bad days caused significant distress and fear that I was regressing after getting better for the first month. It’s also important to note that I have not 100% confirmed my root cause at this point.
Because my GI told me I am not coeliac and gluten is likely fine, I started incorporating some sourdough toast/ fermented wheat products. Initially I responded absolutely fine to these. Once I decided I needed to break the diet in preparation for my trip I actually ate a donut and had minimal reaction.
About 9 days before the trip I started getting SEVERE lower belly cramping after every meal I consumed. At times I considered going to to the ER, even while I sat a final exam (RIP). At first I thought it was the folinic acid supplement I had incorporated (research on this shows it reverses damage in atrophic gastritis patients over 6 months of use so I thought it would be helpful) and I stopped it immediately but symptoms worsened. I came to the conclusion after the final exam fiasco (had 2 pieces of almond butter sourdough) that I am probably coeliac/ wheat allergy and the scope did not show damage because I had already been GF for 8 months (need to eat a gluten filled diet for 6 weeks for coeliac testing to be conclusive)
So I went back to my GF diet and the symptoms persisted and got worse. During this time my gastritis was also flaring up I think because of the distress from the pain and at this time I incorporated a half dose/ day of esomsprazole (the weakest PPI on the market, honestly for more mental reassurance than anything). And I know this is long as hell but stay with me, the details matter,
I decided I’m just going to have to cop the awful health and go on the trip (I genuinely considered cancelling and staying home because it was so fucked) but I just took a massive gamble and went. I just happened to speak to a naturopath @ work that day who suggested taking digestive enzymes for the trip to aid with the tummy ache (and for those fresh in the gastritis journey I would strongly recommend these, have had a huge impact for me)
This was 4 days ago, I’ve been in Paris for 4 days and it is absolutely impossible to get food that will fit these dietary requirements. I cannot get cabbage juice or straight aloe Vera water, I can’t find an organic butcher and I honestly thought it would be more miserable to subscribe to my frankly militant routine with my eating.
And therein lies the miracle- I chose to accept my health as it was, and accept the situation for the potentially shit reality that it may have been, and I just started eating food and breaking my diet. I started with plain rice and kebab meat with garlic sauce (extremely bold I know) and had some light symptoms that went away very quickly. It is essential to note that I was really scared to eat this meal but knew I needed to do it.
The following day I felt empowered and decided to try some restaurant food that was heavily seasoned, and I had a glass of wine. When I tell you I literally could not believe that I didn’t drop dead from the relapse I thought that would cause, I realised that for me (and potentially some of you long term sufferers) that the anxiety of coming out from under the safety blanket of the bland diet and extreme restriction was keeping me sick. Each day I have felt more emboldened and less scared and therefore have eaten further into my list of fear foods. This includes Mexican food (spicy + citrus) a matcha latte and an enjoyable amount of alcohol.
I genuinely cannot believe that this is how it’s going and it made me wonder what part the psychological damage this condition does to us, has on the maintenance of the illness or worsening of symptoms that cannot be explained by diet/ lifestyle changes.
I absolutely want to acknowledge the real suffering that this condition cause, I have experienced it and we can all agree it’s fucked, but I would be remiss to ignore that it seems my actual (seeming) recovery from this illness was made complete by letting go of the fea anxiety and accepting whatever outcome I got. I genuinely think that the crippling mental health aspect could be responsible for ongoing, indefinite suffering that I see on this sub. Because obviously the bland diet/ supplements and (potentially) confirming root cause had huge impact on my physiological healing and it could not have been achieved without that work,
BUT, I could never seem to shake it fully. It’s like the fear of the illness keeps it going/ stagnated at like 75% or regressing.
I am interested to know everyone’s thoughts. This will obviously not be a method for those early in healing, but may give hope to those long term sufferers
TLDR: I am able to eat all of my trigger foods after deciding to let go of the mental safety net that is bland diet/ gastritis recovery protocol, which leads me to question if psychological distress associated w/ gastritis is keeping us sick

2024.05.14 08:12 Marco0s_ [Routine Help] Please Review my Routine
Hi, I posted last week and got heaps of great feedback! Here is where I am at! I have acne prone oily skin and am trying to get rid of my acne scars, remove blemishes and overall improve my skin tone evenness.
AM 1. Foaming Cleanser (CeraVe Foaming Oil-Free Cleaner w/ 3 essential Ceramides, Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid)
- Vitamin C (Timeless Skin Care 10% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum)
- Moisturizer Sunscreen (CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF30)
PM 1. Foaming Cleanser (CeraVe Foaming Oil-Free Cleaner w/ 3 essential Ceramides, Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid)
- Serums (La Roche-Posay Retinol B3 Anti-Ageing Serum x2/week) AND (La Roche-Posay Effaclar Serum w/LHA, Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid x2/week)*** on seperate nights of the week.
- Moisturizer (La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+)
Ideally I would like to find a high SPF sunscreen with vitamin C that I can also use as a daytime moisturiser and then I can forgo Vit C serums. And one comment said that Effaclar serum wasn't the best so maybe I'll forgo that too.

2024.05.14 08:04 crapponaspatula If you take antibiotics/herbals and are not getting better, please look into any possible CoQ10, B12, and molybdenum deficiencies. All 3 are needed to process sulfur in the body.
I currently have a B12 and CoQ10 deficiency and have been supplementing both and have found that my symptoms are improving. While I'm not low in molybdenum, I could use more of it. Do be sure to add in a B complex vitamin eventually as high dose B12 supplementation can lower the other B vitamins in your body. High dose molybdenum can also cause low copper as well, so I would add in a copper supplement eventually if you experience symptoms of a deficiency. Get your copper levels tested before supplementing though as too much copper can be dangerous.
Some of you may be deficient in one or all of these, meaning you likely have impaired sulfur processing pathways as a result.
This goes along with what Dr. Greg Nigh wrote in his book titled "The Devil in the Garlic".
Also, the body needs sulfate in order to live. This is why Dr. Nigh recommends taking magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) baths to maintain that body's sulfate reserve. Sulfate is absorbed into the body while bypassing the gastrointestinal system. He recommends soaking in 4 cups each day for over a week and then taking those baths periodically. Personally, this is WAY too much for me. I can only handle a couple of teaspoons at the moment.
I've been able to tolerate more sulfur-based foods since supplementing the aformentioned vital nutrients, however.
The mold/H2s connection: If you have mycotoxins - specifically gliotoxin - that is a sulfur-based one. Gliotoxins feed H2s bacteria. So, if your case is based on mold toxicity, try detoxing from gliotoxin and see if you get better. Gliotoxins can be detoxed using clays (e.g. bentonite clay) and probiotics.

2024.05.14 07:56 gayspaceanarchist Cheap ways to fill up a room?
I'm staying at my dad's house over the summer, and my room here is very blank.
I've managed to fill up a few walls thanks to some of the decorations I've bought for my dorm. But it didn't seem to be as much as I thought lol.
I'm trying to go for a more filled up look, the room is pretty small so I find that by filling the room up makes it feel more cozy than claustrophobic.
Rn I've got some paintings I've done, photos of my friends, a few flags, fake ivy, stuff like that. Got a t-shirt from a music artist I listen too pinned onto the wall as well.
I'm looking for more ideas on what I can put up for very cheap or free (i.e. stuff I might just have lying around, or stuff I can pretty simply make from stuff I might just have laying around. No suggestions here are bad, my dad has tons of things that he'd be fine with me nabbing.)
Rn I'm thinking fairy lights to string across the room, get more of the fake ivy (it's really only in one corner, if I get more it'll look more cohesive). Maybe a wall hanger for my guitar. But other than that im pretty loss. Ive never really had to decorate a room before, my rooms before have just sorta been a combination of things ive amassed over 19 years of life lmao.

2024.05.14 07:56 deokillua What would you do if you had a time machine?
Ewan ba, pero feels like being in 30s is seriously depressing.
Until now, after 10 years, ako pa rin ang breadwinner. And I support my family by doing a job that I don't like kasi hindi rin naman ako naka graduate. Sinubukan ko minsan na mag aral ulit pero kung hindi time, pera naman ang issue kasi may medical conditions na parents ko, di na pwede unahin sariling gusto.
Sana totoo ang time machine, ano? Yung pagkapindot ko, magigising na lang ako na 2012 pa pala. Nag a apply pa lang ako sa first company ko sa Manila. Healthy pa at bata. Tapos maaga ako mag uumpisa maghulog sa insurance para after 10 years, which is now, may ipon na.

2024.05.14 07:47 Trickierbrake78 Just wanna feel heard
This is such a difficult thing to word, Ive been staring at my screen for hours thinking about this.
Months ago, I posted in this thread about feeling sick and going gluten free after a celiac panel that (unbeknownst to me) was a flag for a slightly low IGA. Over the phone, they told me to start eating gluten free immediately (which i dont think i should have done). I went gluten free and felt better with time, thinking that eating gluten free was the reason I felt better. I dont remember much of me being sick now, I think i blocked it out because all I did was lay in bed and go to work when I could, but my girlfriend reminded me that i didnt feel better for months after going gluten free. all foods were making me feel sick. I received blood tests for my thyroid, general blood test, and a genetic celiacs test. My stuff was normal and i did not have a celiac gene. I was scheduled to have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy in June. Fast forward months later and Im honestly feeling a lot better, my 3 month checkup comes by and my doctor is amazed and cancels my procedures and recommends I try to introduce gluten into my diet again to see if I react. I have yet to do that but I stopped caring about cross contact and I havent noticed a difference in my health.
Today, we had tacos with my roommates and flour tortillas were involved. Im almost certain that the spoons for the sour cream, salsa and guac touched flour tortillas and went back into their containers and i still ate from them with no symptoms so far. i feel like roughly one year ago i wouldve flipped my shit about this and if i had eaten from it, i wouldve scared myself into “reacting”. im just so lost. why did i feel sick for so long? was it related to gluten? i have bad health anxiety but i feel crazy thinking thats why i was sick for damn near a year. this all just sucks, i want answers lol

2024.05.14 07:44 SuugarFiend Tattood healed for 4 months had yellow scabs/weird textured and patchiness.
| As the title suggests I got this tattoo Jan 24th 2024 so this year, it's been about almost 4 months healed now but for some reason it's developed this scabbiness/texture and some of the ink on inuyashas hair is turning a weird yellow AND scabbing. All of the sparkles were white freshly applied but are now a weird brown color tht is slowly flaking off. Inuyashas face also has like some patchiness to him he looks like he has vitiligo a little lol. I attribute that to hyperpigmintation definitely as most of that darker brown seems to be clearing up over time. Used to be worse a few weeks into being freshly healed. Some of the flowers are a weird yellow with scabbiness too. I thought the red was gonna be my biggest struggle but that seems to be doing (mostly) fine 😆, although it also has some texture to it. For context, I've already contacted my artists and they said they've only encountered 1 other person who's had this issue so far but the client didn't understand why it happened. My artist is not sure either why this is happening. I had no issues with healing it either and it's not my first rodeo on that front my left leg is a half sleeve. I have one other colored tattoo but it didn't do this once fully healed. I had no swelling, no infection and minimal redness. I'm a medical professional as well so I would know if anything was amiss in that front. Also I didn't do anything stupid like jump into the pool or ocean while I was healing it. Kept it completely covered when out in the sun when it was healing. Slap spf50 now everyday after it healed. I don't play around with my skin art it's too expensive lol. I followed all of my artists aftercare instructions too. I'm not on any medications. I don't have a history of psoriasis or eczema or any other skin conditions. I don't pick or mess with it. It literally just exists and I moisturize and wash it as normal. I don't know why it decided it wants to be angry 🥲. Before my tattoo my skin was smooth definitely not this texture and my other tattoos are smoothed too so it's definitely just this one. My artist recommended I try vitamin E oil and see how my skin likes it and I plan to follow her advice but please if anyone knows why this is happening I would very much appreciate your advice 🙏🏼. I plan to get more colored tattoos in the future and would like to avoid this outcome if possible!😔. I just want to cover myself in pretty color tattoos! submitted by SuugarFiend to tattooadvice [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 07:41 Tight-Director-4233 Shopify vs Wix for Band Website?
I work in e-commerce for my day job and I'm working with musicians as a side hustle. Most of the clients I work with for my day job are on Shopify and I've noticed that Shopify has kind of a monopoly on integration with Google Merchant Center, Meta Shop, and Spotify. The bands I work with have stores on Wix and I've been having a hard time connecting their online store to stuff like Meta Shop, Spotify Shop, and YT Shop so I'm wondering if it would be a better investment to move their website from Wix to Shopify. I can't find any good free themes on Shopify that fit my needs to rebuild their websites on that platform. Does anyone have any insight about moving a band website to Shopify? I've found Shopify themes for musicians that cost around $300 but I'm trying to keep things affordable for the bands I work with.
