Sorry for the delay in getting this part out; been away visiting family so not had much time to put fingers to keyboard, plus I managed to have my phone stolen by a roller coaster and it took a white to get it replaced and be able to get into a few things - stupid two factor authentication! Y’Lek and K’Rim slowed their mad dash as they neared the armoury; there was no telling whether the Swarm agents had left any traps for them and the armoury was full of extremely energy dense materials and weapons which could potentially jeopardise the structure of the ship if employed in the right way. Grabbing some handy footholds they stopped and considered the imposing door in front of them.
After a few moments of effort K’Rim had eased off the casement off the door’s locking mechanism but could detect nothing amiss with the crystalline structure beneath. Bypassing the outer interface she placed a grasper to the innards and a small spark of bioelectric energy jumped into the crystal which glowed briefly as the uniquely patterned waveform was parsed and compared with the patterns of those permitted access. The door slid aside as they were granted entry with no unwanted surprises being triggered.
With a relieved chitter Y’Lek started inside only to be pulled back sharply as K’Rim pulled on his leg.
“Stop. Just because the door opens, doesn’t mean that it is safe.” K’Rim warned as she pulled a small disc out of one of her utility pouches. Snapping it easily she gently tossed it through the doorway after slowly counting out a grasper of seconds. The exothermic reaction had reached the point where the disc glowed fitfully in the infrared, while it emitted a clear UV light. K’Rim watched it carefully and her antennae twitched with the effort of picking up any slight sound.
The glow-disc struck some of the lockers which filled the armoury and ricocheted off around the room but nothing seemed to react to the heat and movement.
With a decisive clack of her mandibles K’Rim pulled herself through the doorway and into the armoury. Y’Lek followed close on her tarsus. It was immediately obvious that several sets of warrior equipment had been removed, along with copious numbers of weapons.
Y’Lek was surprised when K’Rim didn’t make for the remaining warrior gear but instead to the emergency pressure suits. Seeing the confused tilt of his head K’Rim explained “Although the room appears safe, we don’t know what they may have done while they were here but it is safe to assume that they would have ensured any of the most dangerous equipment could not be used against them.”
She passed a bundled pressure suit to Y’Lek and continued “The emergency gear and non-powered weapons are the least likely to have been tampered with and have the least amount of capacity for harming us even if they have been so we will have to make do with them until we can thoroughly check the rest of the equipment.”
Y’Lek thought for a moment before bobbing in agreement and starting to pull on the pressure suit, careful to sheath his claws with the hardened “gauntlets” integral to the suit before powering up the spiracle gas exchangers and carefully sealing them in place against his thorax. “Yes, I can see the risk now. Though it will potentially leave us vulnerable, it is better to be certain of our equipment than to die of over confidence.”
The emergency pressure suit came together quickly, living up to its name and the pair were quickly sealed against the cold, dry, and slightly strange tasting air that the aliens had been pumping into the Far Flung Seed and supplying them with a more familiar and moister mixture.
K’Rim passed him a set of the ceremonial but still functional weapons and the harness to hold them. They wouldn’t hold up long against a fusion blade or a particle lance but they were durable enough to give them a chance and were completely inert so could not have been sabotaged.
Only a couple of minutes after entering the armoury they swam back out into the corridor and sped off towards the arboretum.

Smithy quickly sprayed a fluorescent marking on the uneven and root covered tunnel junction to identify which way they had come from. “How can such a small ship have so many damn tunnels?” he growled to himself.
“It’s not the size of the ship, it’s what you do with it that matters” quipped Hall.
“Yeah? Well, apparently in this case it was fill it with bloody tunnels.” deadpanned Smithy in response.
“Can it.” broke in Stroud before anyone else could get involved “You can discuss the relative merits of alien design philosophy on your own time; for now you need to focus.”
A chorus of “Sergeant” came back over the radio and the remainder of Delta and Echo buckled down and continued sweeping what even Stroud was prepared to admit was a seemingly endless series of tunnels with apparently zero overarching logic to their layout. Up until a few minutes ago they had been getting directional updates from some supposedly friendly ET’s in the control room but apparently they had suddenly just buggered off so now they were picking junctions that appeared to take them in the vague direction that had been indicated to them.
Stroud again cursed the fact that the maintenance drones brought by the initial engineering team hadn't been able to access this part of the ship and map it due to the tightly sealed blast doors that had protected the forest from the vacuum. Who could have imagined that there would have been so much structure hidden underneath and between the normal corridors and rooms? The three dimensional map they had been creating as they advanced was like something Jackson Pollock and H R Giger might have come up with on an acid trip.
They approached another intersection and slowed. After a quick glance between them, Mears and Jackson moved forward, taking cover behind Mears’ shield. They crept up to the junction and Jackson poked the muzzle of his shotgun, and its camera into the ragged space beyond. The feed showed several small tunnels radiating off at all angles, way too small for any of them to fit down. One navigable tunnel appeared to curve off back in the direction they came from, while another looked like it might go the right way.
Suddenly the camera and the end third of Jackson’s gun disintegrated into a cloud of superheated vapour, shards of glowing metal and smoking composites. With a scream Jackson jumped back, the outer weave on the gauntlet of his left hand shredded and smouldering. In a stunning display of muscle memory he ejected the internal magazine and disconnected the weapon from the backpack feed almost before his mind had caught up with what was going on.
Hands grabbed him as he was yanked further back into the corridor. He flung the remains of his shotgun down and it clattered and bounced down the tunnel in the vague direction of the junction. Jackson was conscious of Mears backing up towards him, shield held protectively to block as much of the tunnel as possible, while Smithy grabbed his forearm and inspected his hand. Stroud stepped over him and took up guard on Mears’ shoulder, weapon trained forward and sweeping what could be seen of the slightly larger space beyond this section of the tunnel.
Another “FOOOM!” as the tumbling wreckage of the shotgun was vaporised as it spun across the opening of the tunnel.
“Fuuuuuuuck me!” said Jackson, at last able to form words as the adrenaline induced tunnel vision started to clear.
“Well, how about you start by showing me whether you can still use your fingers and we can take it from there, eh?” Smithy said from where he was turning his hand from prone to supine again. “Looks like the inner layer of your glove is intact but both Simmonds and Jones complained of numbness after being hit. How’re you feeling?”
Jackson gingerly flexed his fingers and made a fist a few times but grunted as he felt the tips of his fingers tingle where they pressed into the material of his gloves “Feels weird - tingly like I sat on my hand or something.”
Smithy grunted to acknowledge this “OK, well shout out if it gets any worse; got it?”
He pulled Jackson to his feet and slapped him on the shoulder before they both turned back to face down the tunnel again. Jackson surreptitiously flexed his hand a few more times as he pulled out his sidearm and secured its retaining strap to his right wrist. He wasn’t too hopeful that the small pistol would be able to do too much against the ET’s, but it was better than walking around with nothing.
Stroud backed away from the junction where he had been very gingerly checking all the passageways with a camera barely poking out from the mouth of the tunnel they were in.
He stood up and turned to the security team “Ok, looks like there is something stuffed into one of the narrow tunnels - kind of like those shoulder guns the ET’s have, along with a stand and power supply. My guess is it has some kind of automated fire mode and decided that it really didn’t like Jackson’s gun waving around in front of it. Question is, how are we going to get rid of it? We can’t leave it behind in case we need to come back this way in a hurry.”
“I guess it will probably shoot anything we throw at it so grenades are out?” mused Mears
There followed a number of suggestions and comments.
“Can we get an angle on it and just shoot it?”
“How about we let Jackson distract it some more while the rest of us blow it away?”
“We need to avoid the power pack if the two dead ET’s from the corridor are anything to go by.”
Stroud listened for a minute before cutting the chatter short. “Ok, so I think our best bet is to use the ballistic shield to bait it, while someone else blows the top off it from the other side of the tunnel; Mears you and Jackson handle the shield; keep a tight hold on it as those shots release a lot of energy when they hit. Smithy - I’ve marked its location so you hug the other side of the tunnel and draw a bead on it. Wait for it to hit the shield before popping out and taking your shot; and for the love of all that you hold dear do it fast, Ok?”
The team nodded in agreement.
“I will be there to pull Smithy back as soon as he has popped out of cover, just in case.” concluded Stroud before ushering them to their positions. After a few moments of shuffling around each other in the tight space they were ready.
Smithy led the countdown. “Ready. Steady. Go!” Instantly Mears and Jackson shoved a third of the ballistic shield out into the corridor and planted themselves on top of the section remaining in the corridor only a moment ahead of a bright flash and the shield heaving under the impact.
Seemingly almost simultaneously Smithy leaned out and fired, the boom of his shotgun mingling with the “foom!” of the vaporising surface of the shield. Stroud almost bodily lifted him as he pulled him back from the edge.
For a second they were still as they sprawled around the opening.
“A good hit!” called Stroud as he reviewed the few frames of footage from Smithy’s gun camera between jumping out and back in again.
Mears stood up and inspected the sorry remains of his ballistic shield, now missing most of the top edge. “Great, well I hope there aren’t too many more of those hidden around as I’m running out of shield.”

N’Dar’s antennae quivered inside his protective suit. That last series of weapons fire had been far too close for comfort and he still had two more locking systems to bypass. With a furious click of his mandibles he redoubled his efforts, running his bioelectric patterns through a series of filters, amplifiers and other signal processing systems to trick the door into thinking he had a right to open it.
The rot take the claw that had been delaying the aliens! He was supposed to have more time than this!

So I got my free month of FSD and I have some stuff to say about it.
I'm an upper-middle-class, middle aged dude with a 5 year old model 3 that I love, but at this point in my life I detest driving. I live in a place that has some nasty traffic and a 20 mile drive routinely takes me 75-90 minutes. I should be the easiest person on the planet to sell this to. I didn't go into it with much of an expectation, and I didn't even know it was happening until about a week into the trial period.
I took it for a couple of residential neighborhood jaunts, a couple commutes, and even a longer road trip. (150 miles) I kept it on "chill" for almost all of it. Here's my observations.

- The system is pretty darned impressive. It's not what I would call a "great" driver, but it's an "ok" driver. Kinda like a teenager that just got their license and is still learning the finer points of control. It's got a bit of a heavy foot, but not awful.
- The system can handle 95% of the situations that it found itself in flawlessly.
- The visualization is much-improved, and you get a much better sense of what the car can see.
- It didn't like the sticker that I have over the cabin camera. I took it off for the trial.
- In heavy traffic (my life) it's decent enough, but it REALLY loves to change lanes...like...all the time. Can't be in the left lane because that's the passing lane and it can't be in the right because that's moving too slow (all the lanes are) and so it always gravitates to the center, but then is constantly trying to change. It waits WAY too long to change lanes to take an exit, especially for left exits.
- It's also got a very serious visibility problem. I suppose it's the B-pillar cameras that look to the sides, but I have a turn near me that is super-fucking dangerous because the visibility is shit and assholes routinely drive 60 in a 35 around a blind corner. To do it manually I have to move WAY close up to the cross-road to see anything, but the Tesla kept me back at the stop sign where it couldn't see a damned thing. It really needs that side camera to be right up near the front bumper.
- Likewise a serious problem is entering a fast road with no merge area, and there's a number of them around here. It was perpetually trying to accelerate to merge, completely ignorant of the cars already on the road going much faster, I suspect because it couldn't see them. This felt dangerous as hell.
- The most important observation that I have is that you have to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. For me, that means it's saving me...a little bit of lateral movement of my wrist, and that's it. I got it, this is developmental and it's supposed to get hands free "some day" but at the moment this doesn't really solve a problem for me. It was offered as an option for my car when I bought it 5 years ago...and it's still not there.
- When I finished I asked myself the question "should I pay for this?" At the moment, it's a no. I think it's $2000 to upgrade, or $99/mo, and that's an absurd price for the limited value that it provides.

Just bought a house in a somewhat competitive market in Wisconsin. The house was advertised at 1.13 acres, taxed at 1.13 acres, and the deed description also comes in at 1.13 acres. I was looking at an old deed from 1979 (home was built in 1977) and noticed it did call out that the 1.13 acres included 33-foot road right-of-ways (this is a corner lot), and without those the property is .82 acres. At the time I figured this just meant some of the land off the side of the road and I didn't really care. But I went to plot this using some software and it seems that this "road right-of-way" also includes the road itself? The roads existed long before this home was built so this is just utterly bizarre to me. Otherwise, my property line would seemingly go to my neighbor's yards, including through buildings. What are the next steps that I can take to verify this? Call a surveyor?
This is the first home I've bought. I would have bought regardles of .82 acres or 1.13 (I had pulled the deed before I put in the offer), but that is also not an insignificant difference in acreage.

hi, i am a 34M, master degree in top university of my country, 8 years of professional experience in market research from various multinational companies.
i saw that market research analyst is in the shortskill list for some countries i mentioned. however, i'm not sure about the steps i need to take. i applied directly through linkedin but no luck, and most of them asked in their pre-screening question whether i have work rights or not.
another problem is, i am an expert of Indonesia market and consumer, hence, i think i need to tone down my expertise when i translate those skills to the said countries.
anyway, i would like to know for those who experienced this before, what step need to be taken first to get a white collar job? instead of applying directly, is it better to apply for independent visa first, EoI, or other steps?

another problem is, i am an expert of Indonesia market and consumer, hence, i think i need to tone down my expertise when i translate those skills to the said countries.
anyway, i would like to know for those who experienced this before, what step need to be taken first to get a white collar job? instead of applying directly, is it better to apply for independent visa first, EoI, or other steps?

Get ready for a long one! Going to start this with a little (maybe a lot of) back story, over the last 5-6 years there has been a lot of conflict in my family not always directly involving me but always affecting me causing the family I’m in contact with to get smaller and smaller. My dad passed in 2020 and the family fall out was DRAMATIC to say the least, honestly that could be another Reddit post in of itself but I’m still healing from the trauma. Anyway, that resulted in me going no contact with nearly my dad’s entire family except his two sisters. One I love dearly but am not close with and the other, his youngest sister is like my own sister more than an aunt. We are close in age, have children similar ages, etc. I’m closer to her more than anyone in the world. Now on to my mom… my parents were divorced for about 3.5 years prior to my dads passing, and over the last 6 years her parents also passed and she lost contact with all of her other family… she is virtually alone. I love my mom, it breaks my heart and to make matters worse… I moved to another country 6 months after my dad died.
So let’s get it straight that I have TWO people to call family on my side really and truly. Along side my little brother who cannot be counted on and my aunt who lives a coast away from the rest of my family. A very small family for me now compared to the large family I grew up with…
Let me assure you also that my mom is stilll very much young at 50yo and healthy. She also has had a busy dating life and currently a steady boyfriend… so she’s not some poor old woman wasting away. So. While I’ve been living away I’ve given birth to both of my children… my mom’s first grandchildren and her also being the only grandparent on my side, her seeing them has been very important to me. I have gone to visit once a year and helped her come visit me once . Every visit is a disaster and I manage to disappoint my mom in some way or another even though…. I’m the one traveling across an ocean alone with babies! But still I try. When she came to visit me… it was in 2022 just a week after my son was born… I had gotten really sick after birth, and was in the hospital for a week and then had to go to the hospital daily getting iv meds.. it was a scary and traumatic time and I was so thankful to have my mom there…. Except she cried everyday about how I forced her to travel to another country alone and how we aren’t even doing anything….. again I was sick and just a week post partum… I bit my tongue and was very accommodating but did ask her to take a train/bus to and from the airport because it was far and didn’t want to be alone with both children for extended time due to being sick and weak… I thought this was perfectly reasonable considering she’s an able bodied adult who can read a book or listen to music during a trip and allow my husband to stay home and support me.
Flash forward to a recent trip home… I originally proposed this trip just me and my two children and to stay with my mom( again even though my family is small, it’s important to me she sees my kids) however my husband now has the opportunity with work to come with me…. Great now I don’t have to fly alone with two toddlers! When my in laws find out (by the way they have come to visit us twice and they live pretty far away on the opposite coast my family lives on) they decide they want to come too… meaning they’re gonna fly out an visit my coast so we can have a big family trip with both our families. I tell my mom nervously because I know she can be irritated by things like this but she acts excited for the trip still! So my MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL, and two nieces all fly out and get beach rental just a few houses down from where my mom lives. When the time comes it works out that we were there 2 days before and 2 days after my in laws and they’re there for 6 days in the middle. The way I planned it in my head was that we’d spend the first two days with my mom and the last two, as well as sometime with just my in laws in the middle while my mom worked and some combined time all together. And we were also staying with my mom so we were often together in the evenings as well. Sounds great, right? No.
The morning of my in-laws last day… she was acting weird, slamming doors, not coming up to say good morning like usual and then just getting in her car to leave for work. I stepped outside to wave bye and share barely acknowledged me, and I knew I was in for it. That day we took the kids to the park and I was feeling sad my mom couldn’t be there to join us and also sad that she was upset, so I sent her and I love you text.. to which I got “I made plans for tonight don’t worry about me”. Oh. Okay. I thought she’d join us for dinner to see my in laws off but no, she’d made plans. Fair enough but in comes the onslaught of texts. Of how I was constantly choosing to spend time with my in-laws over her, even though she was invited along every time aside from when she was at work… but she declined. She was so upset about this she told me she didn’t want to see us the rest of the trip… meaning the last full two days I had planned to dedicate to her… canceled… because essentially she didn’t want to go to the aquarium one day with all of us and want time to us all by herself and she didn’t come out and say it… and sorry my kids love the aquarium and it was raining so a great activity. But for her the value of the trip came down to the one specific moment and get this… she really wants me to know she’s still upset I made her come to Spain two years ago. I continued to try to reason with her but she threw insults that I feel can never taken back, she continuously called and yelled at me till I ended up blocking her for some peace. And moved our stuff over to my aunts for our last days. I did unblock her so she could calmly reach back out after 24 hours. Which she did and asked to see the kids and say goodbye, to which I agreed. We did have a very nice talk which resolved the tensions. But I’m left feeling really hurt by her insults… and a comment she kept making over and over “I’ll always just be your mom to you and that’s not fair” - i understand she is more than a mom but to me she is my mom and I largely still need her to be my mom because she’s the only parent I have left so I just don’t know how to treat her differently. I’m left wondering am I not treating her the way I should be? How should I be treating her in a way that is “not just my mom”? Did I spend to much time with my in-laws? I’m feeling really uneasy about our relationship and wondering am I the asshole here??? Or do I need to just set some boundaries and stand firm?

Yesterday I went to urgent care because of stabbing/excruciating pain in the left side of my back, about where my left kidney, kind of right below my ribcage. This was a kind of pain I have never felt before, literally rolling on the floor in pain. It got significantly worse within an hour which is why i went in so quickly. I was also severely nauseous and threw up a little before i left. It was slowly lessening in pain while i was at the dr's, when i got there they said they didn't have an ultrasound to check for a kidney stone but they'd do a urinalysis to see if i had a uti ect.
The results came back and everything else was normal but I had 3+ ketones in my urine. Because of this they tested my glucose which was 85 and i hadn't eaten in 8ish hours (ate at 9am, test was at 5ish). The 85 result seemed to rule out diabetes because they didn't mention it again.
Their next step was to refer me to a different urgent care so they could give me an ultrasound. by this point the pain had become pretty minor and since that was really all i came there for I told them I was going to go home and wait to see if the pain came back, and if it did i'd go in. Well the pain never returned even close to the level it was before so I didn't go back.
I was trying to do some research on the ketone thing because while i used to do the keto diet a few years ago i don't really know what's normal or not. Anyways my confusion is that I couldn't really find any kind of explanation for why there would be that many ketones in my blood? like none of them made sense or like checked out with my symptoms if that makes sense. I am not pregnant, i have not drank alcohol in weeks, diabetes does run in my family but i think its type 2 which I thought was almost entirely environmental based and I eat well. My main issue is that a lot of the symptoms of most of the things overlap with the potential symptoms of a medication i started about 2-3 weeks ago. For example: extreme thirst, numbness/tingling/staticky feeling in my arms or face (not actually sure if this is an adderall thing it just started about a week ago), dry mouth, dizziness/lightheaded, nausea, weight loss. I'm on adderall for context. So I am experiencing all of those things but also it could be explained by the med.
I also went through the foods i've eaten the last few days to see if maybe i accidentally put myself into ketosis by my diet but i eat wayyy more than the 20-50 range that would put me in ketosis. Like the tortillas i've been using are 40 alone lol. I also bought those little ketosis test strips because i wanted to see if it was a fluke or something or would just go away on its own but i've tested twice since and both times the results are relatively the same and the number converts to about what the urinalysis reported (between 2.7 and 3.5ish but it's a color scale so not super accurate).
So I guess my question is should I be concerned? I'm also feeling pretty "weak" like you know the feeling when lifting your arms feels like so much work. But also i'm getting nervous that it's all in my head if that makes sense. I have been battling with what I believe to be Candida over the course of almost 2 years. I will jump straight to the point. My main symptoms are a white coated tongue (becomes very dry when speaking), pressure on the throat area, pain and swollen under the left and right rib cages, especially apparent after I’ve had eaten something. This almost feels like a bulge, a little hard to explain tbh.
I first when to my GP and he couldn’t properly diagnose me. Instead, he sent me to get an ultrasound to see if I have an enlarged spleen. The results came back clear, no enlarged spleen. Still symptoms persisted, so I had my blood work done to check if I had Leukaemia. Blood work was clear and seemed to be healthy, only lacking lower than normal iron levels.
After I lost hope with my GP, I tried my luck with a natural path. He diagnosed me with a yeast infection in my small intestine. He basically had me on a Probiotic and a few other supplements for over a year, and I was doing the anti candida diet during that time as well.
During the course of this time suffering from this, I have tried the fruit based diet, carnivore, animal based and now I’m basically just sticking either eating whole foods, that would include fruits, vegetables, meats, etc.
A few months back, I visited another doctor and he said I most likely have acid reflux and the coating on my tongue is a result of that. Now, fast forward until today and I’m going to be getting a test done to see if there is anything going on inside my gut. After the results come back I will get referred to a GI doctor.
I really would appreciate some advice here, I just want this get better and I just want to understand what is going on, since there has been a number of different doctors all telling me different things. I would really appreciate everyone’s feedback. Thank you!

I enjoyed playing Maise when her charge rate was 1/3, super cycles was her signature. While nerfing her charge rate to 1/4, it made her less oppressive and unfair to melee brawlers, but doing so made her way less fun to play. I rarely see Maise players now, I don't even remember seeing one in Ranked.
Do you guys think they should rebuff her to 1/3 charge rate and nerf different parts of her kit instead?
Competitive wise, she's decent right now, only slightly leaning on the weaker side of the meta mainly because assassins are popular. But gameplay wise, the nerf was very impactful for having fun with the game.

The team is in a much better spot now, even able to clear fights like Spiral in 4 turns and with some dirty damage skips is able to potentially. Considering how strong Liu Ishmael already was, and applying Liu Rodya to the same scale in terms of what she brings to the rest of the team and herself puts Liu Rodya in a much better spot now. Both of them now have very solid access to their burn defining EGO (4MF and ABS) due to Envy no longer being a lacking resource, and with wrath and pride now being sorted, you can even get out a few Ishmael Blind Obsessions. Of course, this only matters for the later half. Earlier on, both these IDs very much are the main clashers and burn scalers of this team in terms of both coin power and damage scaling. Magic Bullet Outis: I WISH I could say I still liked this ID. A lot of resets simply were simply due to really shitty skill rolls on turn 1 and 2, or losing 1 coin on her S2. Frequently I ended up using guard to just get bullets up so I could have real dark flame count on turns it mattered (especially on Gasharpoon, Trio, Spiral turn 1 guard, moth, etc). At this point, while she stands as a massive burn payoff and scales burn potency absurdly well, she is just... Icky. That said, if you want burn potency scaling, there is currently no better way besides this (second being Philip Sinclair S3 and Ryoshu 4MF, and third being wrath resonance scaling the team's damage) Dawn Office SinclaiPhilip Sinclair: Post the buffs, this ID has turned out to be a huge boost for this team. Not going to talk about MD or standard content, but specifically in RR3 style content, this unit truly stands out in making use of the previous support slots that I considered mostly dead slots (Yi Sang, Hong Lu), and giving a great payoff for the micromanagement. Philip does a very solid job once he enters EGO form, which was something I managed very easily by turn 2 or every fight (yes, even the first mermaids fight, just use S3 and whistles will get him to enter turn 1). Further, with Impending Day's passive, this man is able to absolutely PUMP envy, gloom, and wrath, which all provide huge boosts to the team in the long run. Envy was an especially annoying bottleneck on the previous run, and often forced me to break the team I was running. Changes to overall thoughts on the burn team: This will be a bit of a comparison to the thoughts from last time. Pros:

Closing Thoughts: I think this time around no fight was truly agonizing. Most of my resets were on Trio, but not because the fight was hard or I had to sacrifice people. It was more because of lining up the combo if anything. Going up from level 40 to 45 is also huge. It makes a lot of the clashes significantly easier, and boosts damage up quite a bit. Burn is now in a significantly better spot than before. I don't know it's full potential in speedrun territory, but that seems to be taken up by Wingbeat, Sinking, or Rupture reset runs currently. This run is by no means a full tryhard reset run, and more of an invested but casual run to show how well burn CAN perform. Also a major note that a large part of this railway is still designed AGAINST burn. |

Was that what they were going for and just didnt manage to make it work? Cus as it is it feels u could just slap on her burst "deals 300% more damage to burning enemies" and she is fixed.

I (33,f) was with my ex bf (33,m) for a year and half. We met on Okcupid, and were very alike in many ways and hit it off right away, 4 months later, we decided to go steady. What's Next?
When the Hound begins to follow them, some members want him dead but Thoros states that there must be some purpose left for Sandor.
Doesn't really deserve its own section, but I thought this matched up really well:
TLDR: It is no secret that GRRM has been building up Sandor Clegane (formerly the Hound) and fire from the beginning. With him surviving his fight with a flaming sword (not wildfire) there is some potential "purpose" left for his life (Arya wouldn't end it for him either).

Only a man who's been burned knows what hell is truly like. -AGOT, Sansa IIGRRM has been hinting around about Sandor Clegane and his relationship with fire since the beginning (its the first thing mentioned about him in AGOT, Eddard I). In this post I thought I would explore that a bit and see what it could mean for TWoW.

"I'll tell you what it was, girl," he said, a voice from the night, a shadow leaning so close now that she could smell the sour stench of wine on his breath. "I was younger than you, six, maybe seven. A woodcarver set up shop in the village under my father's keep, and to buy favor he sent us gifts. The old man made marvelous toys. I don't remember what I got, but it was Gregor's gift I wanted. A wooden knight, all painted up, every joint pegged separate and fixed with strings, so you could make him fight. Gregor is five years older than me, the toy was nothing to him, he was already a squire, near six foot tall and muscled like an ox. So I took his knight, but there was no joy to it, I tell you. I was scared all the while, and true enough, he found me. There was a brazier in the room. Gregor never said a word, just picked me up under his arm and shoved the side of my face down in the burning coals and held me there while I screamed and screamed. You saw how strong he is. Over them both loomed a giant in armor made of stone, but when he opened his visor, there was nothing inside but darkness and thick black blood. -AGOT, Bran IIIworth noting that R'hllor is referred to as the "god of flame and shadow" as well:
On one side is R'hllor, the Lord of Light, the Heart of Fire, the God of Flame and Shadow. Against him stands the Great Other whose name may not be spoken, the Lord of Darkness, the Soul of Ice, the God of Night and Terror. Ours is not a choice between Baratheon and Lannister, between Greyjoy and Stark. It is death we choose, or life. Darkness, or light." -ASOS, Davos IIIThe Blackwater
In his next encounter with fire, the Hound flees the Battle on the Blackwater:
The night of the battle, Sandor Clegane had come to her chambers to take her from the city, but Sansa had refused. Sometimes she lay awake at night, wondering if she'd been wise. She had his stained white cloak hidden in a cedar chest beneath her summer silks. She could not say why she'd kept it. The Hound had turned craven, she heard it said; at the height of the battle, he got so drunk the Imp had to take his men. But Sansa understood. She knew the secret of his burned face. It was only the fire he feared. That night, the wildfire had set the river itself ablaze, and filled the very air with green flame. Even in the castle, Sansa had been afraid. Outside . . . she could scarcely imagine it. -ASOS, Sansa ITrial by Combat
When Sandor fights Beric we see a flaming sword seemingly begin to defeat the Hound:
The flaming sword leapt up to meet the cold one, long streamers of fire trailing in its wake like the ribbons the Hound had spoken of. Steel rang on steel. No sooner was his first slash blocked than Clegane made another, but this time Lord Beric's shield got in the way, and wood chips flew from the force of the blow. Hard and fast the cuts came, from low and high, from right and left, and each one Dondarrion blocked. The flames swirled about his sword and left red and yellow ghosts to mark its passage. Each move Lord Beric made fanned them and made them burn the brighter, until it seemed as though the lightning lord stood within a cage of fire. "Is it wildfire?" Arya asked Gendry.but at the very end we see Sandor somehow win this "holy thing":
"No. This is different. This is . . ." -ASOS, Arya VI
Smooth as summer silk, Lord Beric slid close to make an end of the man before him. The Hound gave a rasping scream, raised his sword in both hands and brought it crashing down with all his strength. Lord Beric blocked the cut easily . . .so he is set free by the Brotherhood, minus his gold (Fun Fact: The Brotherhood ends up with a good amount of gold from the Hand's Tourney).
"Noooooo," Arya shrieked.. . .
but the burning sword snapped in two, and the Hound's cold steel plowed into Lord Beric's flesh where his shoulder joined his neck and clove him clean down to the breastbone. The blood came rushing out in a hot black gush.
Sandor Clegane jerked backward, still burning. He ripped the remnants of his shield off and flung them away with a curse, then rolled in the dirt to smother the fire running along his arm. -ASOS, Arya VI
What's Next?
When the Hound begins to follow them, some members want him dead but Thoros states that there must be some purpose left for Sandor.
Lord Beric shook his head. "Clegane won his life beneath the hollow hill. I will not rob him of it."and I seem to think that similar to the show, the next step in Sandor's plotline (after Brother Ray (show) and Elder Brother (book series) is another encounter with the Brotherhood without Banners.
"My lord is wise," Thoros told the others. "Brothers, a trial by battle is a holy thing. You heard me ask R'hllor to take a hand, and you saw his fiery finger snap Lord Beric's sword, just as he was about to make an end of it. The Lord of Light is not yet done with Joffrey's Hound, it would seem." -ASOS, Arya VII
- The Brotherhood is likely using his helm to lure others into traps as we could potentially see with Lyle Crakehall. If interested: The (Strong)Boar & the "Hound" and:

- The Elder brother was the last person to see the Sandor alive as he tells Brienne (they also have his horse). After the Red Wedding, Lady Stoneheart and the BwB were hot on Arya/The Hound's trail before losing them (they find get his helm from Rorge). It is current unknown if Brienne has given this information to the Brotherhood/LSH or not but it definitely ties together the plotline. Lem grabbed her wrist and twisted, wrenching the dagger away. She kicked at him, but he would not give it back. "You go to hell, Hound," she screamed at Sandor Clegane in helpless empty-handed rage. "You just go to hell!"Random Thoughts

- With the identity of "The Hound" shifting from Sandor to Rorge and then Lem, it has created a Legacy Character
- The Hound wanted to sell Arya to Lysa but stopped due to weathebeasts/mountain clans. I am only half joking when I say maybe he would have changed his mind if he knew how much the Burned Men respected fire mutilation. If interested: The Vale Mountain Clans in TWoW
- While not "confirmed" the novice gravedigger on the Quiet Isle is likely Sandor. He is lame. That said the Elder Brother and Thoros are both noted "healers". We have also seen lame characters fight via horseback (ex: The Hedge Knight) although I am not sure this is necessary for his character arc.

I know older games would just use an image to simulate the cockpit view of a car. I am trying to recreate something similar but I also need the player to be able to look left and right (like in the image above).
I can't tell if they used an actual 3D model for the inside of the car or if it is just a picture that is swapped when the player looks on the sides.

So last night this dream really took me by surprise, which isn't super out of the norm because this girl is a dreamer, but last night really stood out for some reason. I was in this swanky apartment with a friend(don't know who now) a lady came to the door and I shot her, right in the chest. I don't recall any plans to do so in this dream I just did it, and then didn't feel bad about it is the scary part. We zipped her body in a bag and dumped her into the ocean, don't know how we got to the ocean either. Of course someone found out and I remember running from a bunch of guys who were trying to get me after that, like to the point of climbing up the side of a building and kicking them away from me, I fell down and stole the guys gun and locked myself inside of a yellow Volkswagen beetle(I used to drive one 13 years ago) so I've managed somehow to get away from these guys who are now trying to hurt me and I get a phone call from the lady I shot asking me to turn myself in that she would vouch for me as she knew I wasn't a bad person. 🤯 its absolutely so weird and this one for some reason is really sticking out to me. I woke up a few times and went right back into where I left off. Does shooting some sweet stranger for no reason mean something in waking life? Its normal for me to be out running folks trying to trap me, I've escaped from jail and lots of hostage situations in my dreams so the people trying to get me isn't as disturbing as me shooting a sweet lady for no reason!

May get a lot of downvotes but honestly this is my own personal speculation. I feel like everyone has been trying to make this whole biggie situation seem like last season. I’m not picking sides because jela honestly pissed me off bc she was doing a bit much💯 but everyone coddles biggie as if she’s some damsel in distress. It’s getting annoying as heck I feel it’s so petty also. How do you get online and say you’re gonna smack someone nd now that person feels some type of way you need ppl to step in? (Natalie is very weird but wth do biggie expect?? Natalie defends no one but herself) anybody with eyes can say biggie lost that fight is she gonna smack everyone that says that ?? Idk it’s just pretty annoying bc she’s always crying about ppl not having her back but girl you don’t throw rocks and hide your hand and you don’t pop big ish when you know you can barely defend yourself properly and need to rely on someone else to step in. This is getting ridiculous. I understand they need to put signs up before hand and they are the last thing to come down but if you are done / taking a week off from the work and move all the cones, you need to block the signs or knock them over so traffic knows that lane is actually open. Instead of leaving it and causing insane traffic back ups because everyone thinks those lanes are closed.
Mainly this is Frandor I'm speaking on right now but it's ridiculous. Going in and out of Frandor from the east is insane right now cause they have signs up for lane closures but have now moved all the cones making the lanes open. It's been like this for a few days now. The Coolidge one heading west is just now open today but the Saginaw after Abbott heading east has been open since at least Friday but the signs are still up.
Maybe we all just need to band together and create a traffic sub and keep the public updated on what is actually closed and what is BS closure cause this is getting more and more frequent over the past few months.

This morning I was involved in a car accident and I was hoping for some opinions as to who is at fault. A car was waiting to turn right in front of me holding up traffic. Unknown to me, a car was turning across the 2 lanes of traffic from the other side (turning to its right) and cut across my lane and I hit the side of the car. The insurance company seems to think it is the other drivers fault but I was unsure as I was driving in the bus lane. I was just hoping someone had some experience of something similar or can give an opinion as to who is at fault. The police were also unsure as they said usually it would be 100% their fault but the bus lane might complicate it.

Background-we met at the beginning of Covid. Split last July 2 months after we got married. I kicked her out of house instead of leaving for a time. I was married previously to probable BPD . Lots of abuse, mostly verbal. Gaslighting. Etc.
Relationship with (hopefully not soon to be ex) wife had a gradual descent with peaks and valleys along the way. When it ended, she had begun taking medication to help keep anxiety/anger from being too overwhelming, but I didn’t wait to see if it worked and asked her to leave. Throughout the relationship we were supposed to have kids which I later retracted in a moment of fear. Move into new place together which I also retracted in a moment of fear… do all kinds of things together that I would just say no to. I issued ultimatums and dug into positions that felt like the right ones to me at the time but were in retrospect not healthy for our relationship.
Felt very self righteous. That no one should raise their voice to me (triggered by last relationship). She left, we hadn’t really talked since I said I was sure I wanted a divorce and she got stuff out. There were moments I’d think of her and wonder if I’d made the right decision, but I didn’t see a version of reality where I wouldn’t just do the same stuff again. Felt very angry and upset and concerned that I was unable to take accountability even on my own internally for my role in demise…. I go to therapy and continually talk about the stories that still make me mad but fail to accept responsibility for them.
Several weeks ago, she reached out to me. We ended up talking on the phone-she had had a crazy night and sounded a little off, but it was still just her. Same ole girl I loved before, but all the anger I had come to allow myself be defined was gone…just fondness. I immediately cease the contact because I felt uncomfortable. Another couple weeks pass and she reaches out again. We talk more than we have in entire separation that one night. We chat a little more and the subject of the papers that still aren’t done comes up… I am very confused. What’s happening? Am I finally grieving the relationship? Do I have a brain tumor? Am I just feeling jealous? Nicotine withdrawal? I run through explanation after explanation in my head , finding momentary comfort in some but mostly feeling this same terrible creeping dread. It hits me-I’m still very much in love with my wife. I just came to think that the angry and hurt feelings WERE me instead of the way I was feeling….
I immediately send her an email to this effect. This was last Wednesday. I’ve made a terrible mistake. Making you leave after 2 months of marriage is the worst thing I’ve ever done to another human being. I know it is likely too late but I want to reconcile with you.
Along with this comes the flood of accountability I wasn’t able to see before. Yes, my spouse yelled at me and said some very cruel things. That was in the context of being abandoned in place by me. My avoidant and distant behaviors and the way those make her feel absolutely awful and they would have done the same to me. I shut down any kind of escalated conversation because it triggered me from my ex wife. I too said cruel and hurtful things to my spouse. She was begging me to be by her side but I just got it in my head that I wanted to stay angry. I’m flooded with emotion-was up for 2 consecutive days last week riding the roller coaster of intense love, fear that it’s too late, shame and regret for dumping my lover that way, and intense remorse. We have been talking , a lot. I’m sending too many texts and she is sending a reasonable amount of texts. We’ve talked on the phone daily for at least an hour with some days reaching more like 4-5. I see a path for us that includes all the things we’ve dreamed of together. The kids the shared house all of it. Daydream about making love to her while our hypothetical newborn naps in the next room-I tell her this is my desire because it it and I’m so sure of it . I’m sharing with her and emotionally open and honest with her in a way that I’ve rarely managed before. She is patient and calm with me in ways that she had struggled to be before. I’m able to stay calm despite escalation and recontextuslize things that previously felt like criticism as what they are - loving guidance and expecting the best out of partner.
She hasn’t told me no but hasn’t told me yes either. She did tell me she still loves me which sent me soaring - didn’t even end it with “but not like that.” I caused her a great deal of pain but it’s starting to feel like a second chance might be possible. It’s been 10 months since she left and I have a hard time even connecting to the things that made me me want out in the first place …. I feel different….she says as much too….so much crying about the pain and devastation I caused
I hope we try to reconcile. It doesn’t even seem like it would be that hard to do a whole lot better….. I am kind of finding myself believing she will….
You don’t really hear stories like this too often. Is this as weird and atypical as it feels to me? Who else is on team believe?
Regardless of what happens, I’ve reconnected with a part of myself that I didn’t even know was there anymore . An emotional and vulnerable person was still in there. That is truly a gift.

We chat a little more and the subject of the papers that still aren’t done comes up… I am very confused. What’s happening? Am I finally grieving the relationship? Do I have a brain tumor? Am I just feeling jealous? Nicotine withdrawal? I run through explanation after explanation in my head , finding momentary comfort in some but mostly feeling this same terrible creeping dread. It hits me-I’m still very much in love with my wife. I just came to think that the angry and hurt feelings WERE me instead of the way I was feeling….
I immediately send her an email to this effect. This was last Wednesday. I’ve made a terrible mistake. Making you leave after 2 months of marriage is the worst thing I’ve ever done to another human being. I know it is likely too late but I want to reconcile with you.
Along with this comes the flood of accountability I wasn’t able to see before. Yes, my spouse yelled at me and said some very cruel things. That was in the context of being abandoned in place by me. My avoidant and distant behaviors and the way those make her feel absolutely awful and they would have done the same to me. I shut down any kind of escalated conversation because it triggered me from my ex wife. I too said cruel and hurtful things to my spouse. She was begging me to be by her side but I just got it in my head that I wanted to stay angry. I’m flooded with emotion-was up for 2 consecutive days last week riding the roller coaster of intense love, fear that it’s too late, shame and regret for dumping my lover that way, and intense remorse. We have been talking , a lot. I’m sending too many texts and she is sending a reasonable amount of texts. We’ve talked on the phone daily for at least an hour with some days reaching more like 4-5. I see a path for us that includes all the things we’ve dreamed of together. The kids the shared house all of it. Daydream about making love to her while our hypothetical newborn naps in the next room-I tell her this is my desire because it it and I’m so sure of it . I’m sharing with her and emotionally open and honest with her in a way that I’ve rarely managed before. She is patient and calm with me in ways that she had struggled to be before. I’m able to stay calm despite escalation and recontextuslize things that previously felt like criticism as what they are - loving guidance and expecting the best out of partner.
She hasn’t told me no but hasn’t told me yes either. She did tell me she still loves me which sent me soaring - didn’t even end it with “but not like that.” I caused her a great deal of pain but it’s starting to feel like a second chance might be possible. It’s been 10 months since she left and I have a hard time even connecting to the things that made me me want out in the first place …. I feel different….she says as much too….so much crying about the pain and devastation I caused
I hope we try to reconcile. It doesn’t even seem like it would be that hard to do a whole lot better….. I am kind of finding myself believing she will….
You don’t really hear stories like this too often. Is this as weird and atypical as it feels to me? Who else is on team believe?
Regardless of what happens, I’ve reconnected with a part of myself that I didn’t even know was there anymore . An emotional and vulnerable person was still in there. That is truly a gift.
