I recently got a new kitten and was really excited for her to get to play with her brother because he’s seemed lonely and bored no matter what I do. And my other cat prefers being more of a loner. Well turned out she has ringworm. (Dw i’ve deep cleaned EVERYTHING and plan to continue through treatment) So now she’s stuck in my bathroom and my two adult cats are in the guest room for quarantine and treatment over the next 8 weeks. I was already planning a slow introduction with the new little lady to not upset my more dramatic loner boy too much. My two boys have been my whole world for the last 5 years and have always been super sweet and loving. Is all this time locked away in one room gonna make them hate me? I don’t wanna break our trust!! They haven’t screamed to get out as much as i’ve expected but we are only 4 days in... I still go in fully covered and love one them for a bit a few times a day and they are able to look out a window and birdwatch which they both love. I’m just so scared of them being different once I get the all clear to let them out…I wish I could just tell them what’s happening!! But instead i’m shoving medicine down their throat and slipping out the door :( I’ve been reading stories nonstop of ringworm but not many people update on after or it’s usually a first cat. To put this short, my friend stayed over for about a month and treated me and my mom with no respect she refused to clean and just trashed my room about three days in I found out she had lice and it was very clear that she knew after that my mom spent around $200 on lice treatment and cleaning supplies I then combed thru her hair for 6 hours. her mom did not offer to pay for anything. she’s been treating me really badly because she’s talking to a boy who confessed his love to me and said he want to pop my cherry. I told her that he said that and she did not care. I’ve gotten multiple arguments with her about it and there’s just no emotion. She hasn’t been in school since sixth grade, her grammar is terrible she doesn’t know how to have conversations I haven’t had a serious conversation with her in two years, their house is infested with bugs and it’s dirty. she’s planning to come back and I just can’t do it. She doesn’t care about my feelings and she thinks she’s better than me because she was raised in poverty. I honestly don’t know if I can be friends with her anymore. There’s so much more I could say I just can’t fit.

I’m a new grad on L&D who recently got put back on orientation 2 weeks after my 36 shifts of training. I’m noticing there seems to be no winning here. I got put back on orientation because people made up things about my performance or took something I said completely out of context. Both doctors & nurses alike.
The other new grads in my cohort are thriving, but they all worked at this hospital before/went to the associated nursing school with this hospital, so they all know each other & how the floor works. Like, I get I’m new & maybe people don’t trust me yet, but some of the treatment feels like bullying. They talk constantly about how great the other grads are doing right in front of me, push me out of conversations intentionally, make plans w/ the new grads & don’t invite me, and just generally treat me like garbage.
My original orientation was also so much bs, there was so much I didn’t learn bc my preceptor was so type A she did everything herself. My managers even apologized that I got such a crappy orientation because my preceptor was “newer” & also, there is NO UNIT BASED TRAINING MANUAL/PROTOCOLS. You basically just follow a nurse around for 12 weeks & watch what they do. Thriving here seems impossible if you didn’t already tech/student/extern here in the first place. We had one girl in the cohort who I made friends with because we were kind of “outsiders” (nothing to do with the hospital previously). Yeah, she quit the day before she was supposed to come off orientation.
My confidence just feels destroyed, I’ve worked here almost 5 months & have made no friends, which is unusual for me as I am a very social person. I get told I can’t do anything right on the daily. No praise for the good stuff. And then when I express frustration I’m told to suck it up. Idk, I’m already so drained after 5 months. Should I move to a new specialty? Try clinic nursing? Stay with it? Any advice helps!! 🧡

Hello guys.... just looking for any helpful advice or suggestions. This is a secondary throwaway account. I will put as much details w/o oversharing since you never know who reads these post.
So, I had received a TJO a few weeks ago. Did the required preliminary steps and was waiting hopefully for the FJO.
Today I got an email stating the offer was rescinded. This is the edited version of the email:
BACK STORY - Part 1
I had worked for this agency 10-15 years ago, not to long after I finished my Masters. It was my first government job.
I started off in Unit A and about two months in was interviewed for Unit B (which had been my 1st preference). A few weeks after, I got the position and started in Unit B soon after.
I ended my position in Unit A in good standing and my manager for that Unit was happy for me and have given the manager I was going to be assigned to in Unit B great reviews about my general work performance. These two Units were in the same POD and working in Unit A was generally a stepping stone to get into Unit B if so desired.
Now, the full training period for this agency for this Unit B is quite long and is broken up in parts over a period of time. There were several of us new employees for this Unit B Manager.

BACK STORY - Part 2
After the first training session, we were back to our POD and assigned OJI's. The first few weeks was about trying to put what we learned in the training to now real life application. For the most part, during the first 2 months we dealt mostly with the OJI's. Now, my feedback from the OJI was positive and constructive. The OJI would always tell our group that it takes a while to really learn the job and that the agency wasn't expecting us to get it even in our first few years. This echoed what was told to us repeatedly during training.
Now enter the Manager (MB) - Not long after MB starts to review our cases, one of my teammates (T1) starts to complain to me about feeling targeted and not receiving proper assistance. T1 stated that the MB seemed to be trying to create a negative paper trail with the performance reviews. Not to long after this started, T1 informed me about being given 30 days to resign or they would receive a termination letter. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I mean, we literally hadn't even been out of training for 2 months when this happened to T1.
T1 was told he could go to the Union Rep. to talk about options, but that UR was not helpful (as I would also later find out) and basically said, probationary employees could be terminated for various reasons (similar to being At-Will in the private sector). He resigned because he didn't want any negative remarks on his records, especially for future government options.

Back Story (Part 3)
Not long after T1 left, I started getting the same treatments in terms of overly negative remarks about my work. The manager even started to tell me that the job was not for everybody. Due to what happened with T1, I kind off had an idea where this was heading so MB basically gave me a similar ultimatum of termination or resign within a set period of time, I wasn't fully surprised but still broke down in tears asking for the full training period before such a drastic determination could be made. The manager would not budge. I was offered the same option of speaking with the Union Rep. It was the same UR (worked in the same POD) and while they expressed surprised and some outrage and hinted at a PATTERN (details later) in that POD, they basically gave me the same spiel as was given to T2 and I took the option of resigning.
Back Story (Part 4)
Fast Forward about 6 years after leaving that agency. I had gone through various life events and working private sector.
T1 whom I kept in touch with occasionally, reached out and asked if I was willing to talk a friend. They explained that this person (S1) has been hired a few months before our group in the agency, Unit B. They had been under a different manager for about 5-6 years before their manager retired and S1's team was merged with MB's team.
Long story short - S1 who was a Highly Successful rated employee with a prior manager, was within less than a year placed on a performance improvement plan within a year of joining MB team.
However, since S1 had past the probationary period and was a permanent employee with a good performance record, they were able to file an EEOC complaint and after a long battle SI won the case. T1, myself and another employee (we discovered during this process) that was forced out in the same manner testified during S1 hearing.
There was much more but ......As for the Pattern, T1, myself, S1 and plus another employee were all from the same or had family background from a certain region.
Back to Present Day
S1 wants me to ask for a reconsideration and explain my situation. She feels that MB must have put something on my internal records to make me unemployable to this particular agency. I did get hired a few years back to a different agency and this issue never came up. I resigned during Covid period and went back to Private.
So... Anyone ever been in a similar situation? If so, what was the results? ​

Me (22 F) and my roommate (21 F) have been living together since January 2023.
We lived with several other people in a college house then decided to get our own apartment together. We are still great friends with the past roommates.
So far it’s been great until recently. It’s been 9 months in the apartment with little to 0 issues. As of late, there has been instances where I’m having trouble speaking up for myself in fear of making her upset. I typically clean everything in the apartment and take out trash and recycling. This past weekend, there was a friend staying with us for the weekend. So, I do get it, the place will be a wreck for the few days she’s here and that is fine. However, she has now left and the place is still a wreck. Specifically the bathroom. I texted my roommate asking if she could please clean the toilet sometime today or tomorrow because there is spots of puke in it.
She then asks if im mad at her. I say no, the bathroom is just gross and I don’t want to clean it. I’m then told I’m being extremely rude. This interaction has been driving me crazy because after any of these tiffs we had in the past, I get the silent treatment afterwards. It’s now been 24 hours since the text, and the bathroom is still gross. However she’s talking to me like nothing has happened. It’s hard because the boundaries have never really been in place due to best friends living together. I decided recently to get a door handle for my bedroom that locks so I can lock it while I am gone on the weekends. When she tried to go into my room and it was locked, she told me it upset her. I am always willing to share stuff, but I just appreciate being asked first. When the first was staying here, they used my air mattress, my sheets, my pillow cases, and my blankets without asking me. The friend also brought a guy home one night as well so I came home to a random man asleep in my living room. I get it, we’re in our twenties, but I’d just appreciate a heads up.
So here lies the problem : we originally planned on staying here for two years. Our lease is up July 31st. I am now looking for a studio apartment for myself because I do admit I am a bit of a clean freak but I am just tired of cleaning up the other messes every single day. I have applied for a new apartment two towns away, which is closer to my job and family. We have been best friends since the day we met, and I’m terrified to tell her I will not be renewing the lease. She will not be able to afford the apartment on her own so she will need to move out as well. Her immediate family is out of state. I want our friendship to be intact but I don’t know how to tell her without making her hate me. Any advice ??
