One of the questions asked most by mathematicians is that of a higher dimension, along with phi’s common appearance in nature and the parallel postulate. What does a higher dimension mean? Let me start with an easier perspective. To a first-dimensional being, a second dimension is made up of an infinite number of first-dimensional objects. In short, a second dimension adds a direction – width. [When we go from the second dimension to the third dimension, we add another dimension – height.]()
Judging from the earlier dimensions, a fourth dimension simply means a fourth direction. You may also have heard the length, width, and height of an object called dimensions. Now, you know why. This fourth dimension cannot be processed by our three-dimensional minds, just like a second dimensional being cannot process a three-dimensional world, as it only sees in one dimension.
[This brings us to my next point – We only actually see in two dimensions.]() In the book Flatland, the main character, A Square, is brought into the third dimension and looks at Flatland from above, seeing everything from inside prison cells to the Flatlanders’ insides. Using this logic, four-dimensional beings will see a complete three-dimensional world and will look at the third dimension just like us looking at the second dimension; they will be able to see everything.
It is also worthwhile to note that an intersection between two-dimensional objects would not be intersected in the third dimension, as with that of the Klein bottle. The Klein bottle is intersected in its three-dimensional interpretation but is a four-dimensional object not intersected onto itself.
I believe that looking at the fifth dimension will not look any different than the fourth dimension, based on what happens if a one-dimensional being sees the third dimension. Speaking of which, you may also be asking, “Isn’t the [fourth dimension]() time?” Well, there are spatial dimensions and temporal dimensions. Temporal dimensions are remarkably interesting in their own way, and they deserve their own separate article.
I also realized that since every dimension has a dimensional plane, and that by definition, a dimensional plane is infinite, a zero-dimensional plane is not possible. However, there also must be a plane for a zero-dimensional dot to exist on. I have done some research on this zero-dimensional geometry, and it is quite interesting. It is also called a nil-dimensional space. There are even theories that the universe is a zero-dimensional matrix full of zero-dimensional energy.
After some more research, I found that in the zeroth dimension, every position can be described as a point. I found this to be like the hyperbolic plane, which is an infinite plane in a finite space. It does this because it gets smaller and curves as it gets closer to its edge. You may hear a hyperbolic plane described as a saddle, but it is more like saddles stacked upon each other. I highly recommend that you check this out on your own, along with the rest of non-Euclidean geometry.
I would also like to mention the connection between different dimensions and string theory. In string theory, there are multiple universes, each with a different amount of dark energy and a different number of dimensions. Some of these universes will self-destruct because of the dark energy, but it is interesting to think that there might be higher-dimensional universes that could hypothetically exist somewhere out there.
We cannot understand higher dimensions, but we also cannot even understand the simplest of dimensions, zero dimensions. This just shows how much farther humanity can still go. We are still yet to discover many of the secrets our universe holds.

Using this logic, four-dimensional beings will see a complete three-dimensional world and will look at the third dimension just like us looking at the second dimension; they will be able to see everything.
It is also worthwhile to note that an intersection between two-dimensional objects would not be intersected in the third dimension, as with that of the Klein bottle. The Klein bottle is intersected in its three-dimensional interpretation but is a four-dimensional object not intersected onto itself.
I believe that looking at the fifth dimension will not look any different than the fourth dimension, based on what happens if a one-dimensional being sees the third dimension. Speaking of which, you may also be asking, “Isn’t the [fourth dimension]() time?” Well, there are spatial dimensions and temporal dimensions. Temporal dimensions are remarkably interesting in their own way, and they deserve their own separate article.
I also realized that since every dimension has a dimensional plane, and that by definition, a dimensional plane is infinite, a zero-dimensional plane is not possible. However, there also must be a plane for a zero-dimensional dot to exist on. I have done some research on this zero-dimensional geometry, and it is quite interesting. It is also called a nil-dimensional space. There are even theories that the universe is a zero-dimensional matrix full of zero-dimensional energy.
After some more research, I found that in the zeroth dimension, every position can be described as a point. I found this to be like the hyperbolic plane, which is an infinite plane in a finite space. It does this because it gets smaller and curves as it gets closer to its edge. You may hear a hyperbolic plane described as a saddle, but it is more like saddles stacked upon each other. I highly recommend that you check this out on your own, along with the rest of non-Euclidean geometry.
I would also like to mention the connection between different dimensions and string theory. In string theory, there are multiple universes, each with a different amount of dark energy and a different number of dimensions. Some of these universes will self-destruct because of the dark energy, but it is interesting to think that there might be higher-dimensional universes that could hypothetically exist somewhere out there.
We cannot understand higher dimensions, but we also cannot even understand the simplest of dimensions, zero dimensions. This just shows how much farther humanity can still go. We are still yet to discover many of the secrets our universe holds.

So I noticed the other day while driving home I was starting to get one of my ice pick migraines over my eye. My eyelid kept twitching and the only small relief while driving was pressing against my temple in circular motions. But the whole drive home I had the music on and pretty loud( it’s a new car so I like to feel the base) but honestly the sound had no effect on me! The noise played no part in how bad my head hurt, now the sun light on other hand was like piercing my eyeball. I wonder if the pain is just so bad now that it complete doesn’t matter the noise around me OR I am wondering if my tinnitus ( yup cause I have ringing in my ears now too 🤦🏻♀️) has just made me so used to constant noise?! Anyone else experience this?

 | Hello all! Otto here. And, as you all now know. NoaHM has finally come to an end. It's been a hell of a ride that I'll never forget. But before I move on to thanking specific people and telling you all what's in store, I wanted to be a bit mushy for a minute if you'll indulge me... submitted by OttoVonBlastoid to NatureofPredators [link] [comments] When I first heard of NoP, I was in the middle of the night shift that I'm still working to this day. I had a single ear bud in, which was TECHNICALLY against the rules, and still is but fuck 'em. And to pass the time, I listened to stories. Either Mr. Creeps' Creepypasta compilations or, in this case, Agro Squirrel's Tales From Outer SPACE series. And eventually, I heard the name, The Nature Of Predators...and it all went downhill from there as you all can well imagine. Jokes aside, I fell in love with the story and universe and decided to check out the community. And soon, I found the very first fic I ever read on here, "My Floridian Arxur Daughter". From that point on, I was hooked. I read "Arxur Nursery", "The New Terran Refugee", "Feathers Of Deceit", "Lost In Found", "Recipe For Disaster", "Playing By Ear", and so, SO many more. The sheer amount of creativity on display was amazing. And so...I decided to try my hand at it. I'd already written a short creepypasta, as well as a small five-part miniseries based off of one of my friends DnD campaigns, so I had a LITTLE experience, but I still hadn't taken a single writing course or knew...anything about what I was doing, so I decided to try something small. (That worked out well...) I was in the middle of rereading "Floridian Arxur Daughter" for...maybe the sixth time when a particular scene stuck out to me. Something about it...made something click in my head. After evacuating young Chalta from the house, her big bother Carlos and his girlfriend Salisek decide to take her out on a drive, and while their driving, Carlos mentions his ability to sing, and after both Chalta and Salisek both ask for a demonstration, he sings a beautiful rendition of "Send Me A Peach" from Over The Garden Wall. It was a touching scene, and hearing the song from Chalta's point of view clicked with me. It was by this point that I'd also discovered "Playing By Ear" by u/VeryUnluckyDice, which was essentially this "listening to music through the perspective of someone else's mind" idea made manifest. And that's where it all began. I made a post, proposing the premise of my story, and while I didn't get a LOT of feedback, most of the feedback I got was positive. And a few days later, "Nature Of A Homeless Musician: Prologue" was born, in all of its overly edgy glory. And well...you know the rest from there... I never could have imagined just how big this story would get. It was NEVER supposed to grow this much, touch so many people, inspire so many others to make stuff themselves. Sure, I hoped that it might, but I never thought it would! But now...here we are... I...can't put into words, how thankful I am to each and every single one of you, who gave my little idea a chance. It means more to me then I could ever describe. Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to make my living by making things! At first, I thought that just meant being a Youtuber, like every cringy middle schooler does, but now...I think I get it... I've always wanted to be able to make things, and for those things to make OTHER people happy. Make them laugh, make them cry, make them smile, and make their days just a little bit brighter. I've...long since given up that old dream... I just didn't think it was possible, not for me anyways. But you all proved me wrong. Every comment, every meme, every bit of art you guys make...proves me wrong. When I got my first bit of fanart, I cried at my monitor. Because for the first time in so long that I can't even remember, I was happy. I was so, so happy, because it genuinely felt like this dream that I've had since I was a kid was finally possible. Harry Potter- Satanic magic spells, curses, witches, wizards, "not how real life is like" (I'm genuinely serious that was one of the reasons I was told as to why it's bad😭)

Just installed a variable speed pump and am looking for some insight. I have a fiberglass salt water pool that is 22,000 gallons. To program the schedule, there is a Speed setting that is percentage based and a flow setting showing GPM.
The GPM I understand and I’ve found the minimum for both my salt cell and gas heater.
This is probably really dumb, but how do I know what speed to use based on the flow? And what would an ideal schedule look like?

Hey all, I am trying to have recurring revenue counted based on if the last payment date would be the same month or a month later down the same year as a reference cell.
So in the Recurring Payments tab, it should count the cells C2:C if the cells in H2:H is equal to the same month or later than the cell B13 in the June 2024 sheet. And it should also count C2:C if the date in column B2:B in the Recurring Payments Sheet is a date that is earlier than the cell B13 in the June 2024 sheet. So it should count all recurring charges that occurred before June 2024 and that end June 2024 orlater.

Let me first say that in the five sailings my wife and I have been on since Princess has had the current Plus and Premier Packages, we have not once purchased either of them. That is not because I am opposed to them, nor do I think that they are a rip-off and only a fool would pay for them. On the contrary, the only reason that we did not go with a package and chose to pay for our dining, beverages, deserts, wifi, gratuities, etc., etc. a la carte was because I sat down and did the math to see if it were a good deal or not.
I am not cheap, but I also like a good bargain and would pay for one or the other package in an instant if it were to save me a few bucks. The reason I am writing this post is because I see so many replies and comments on this subreddit saying that the packages are a no-brainer when anyone has a question about them, and I just want to get this out there that that is a silly idea. There are a bunch of questions that should go into deciding whether to Plus/Premier or go Standard. So I'm going to put some of those questions that should be considered out there.
But first of all, if you don't really care if you save money or not, you just want the freedom to do what you want to do and not worry about the cost, then that is a good enough reason to buy the package and God bless you! Do it and enjoy your cruise!
But if you are really curious if you need the package or not, these are the things you should be considering:
1) What is my itinerary? Is this a cruise that is in a new, interesting port everyday? Is this a cruise that has multiple and extended sea days? This is important because that package will mean squat if you are off the ship. However, if you are doing a trans-Atlantic or Hawaiian cruise, and you're looking at 4 straight sea days, that's a different story.
2) What ship am I on? Princess is known for the similarities found throughout its fleet, but that does not mean that every ship is identical. What, if any, casual dining options are on board? What are their hours of operation? What specialty dining restaurants am I looking at? Did I make reservations? Am I flexible enough to wait to be seated and miss my desired showtime?
3) Do I need or want wifi, and do I need it the whole cruise? Maybe you do, but only you know the answer to that one. You can pay for wifi for the day. And maybe you will have cell service in port. And I'm platinum, so wifi is half price, anyway.
4) Have I taken a good look at those premium deserts? Good grief! Two per day! Maybe two per cruise, maybe. Forget about unlimited...
5) How much will I drink? Maybe this is where you really don't want to care, and if it is your first cruise, then maybe you have no real idea. I've been on enough cruises with Princess that I know what I like to drink on a daily basis and what my wife drinks. We are more than happy to pay for our drinks as we go, settling up at the end of the cruise.
As I stated at the beginning, my wife and I have been on five different sailings with Princess since they introduced these packages: two 4-night, one 5-night, one 7-night, and one 11-night sailing. Two have been Mexico, one California coastal, two Alaska. We are sailing Alaska again in 3 weeks on the Discovery Princess. I've sat down and done the math on all these cruises, and we've saved anywhere from $102.59 to $358.50 on each of these cruises going Standard fare. And we eat at the specialty restaurants at least twice each cruise, do the casual dining, get deserts, have wifi when needed, pay full gratuities, and drink whatever we want, and do many other things not part of the packages.
Finally consider this: Princess is not losing any money selling the packages to as many passengers as they can. Why do you think they push it so hard on their website, through travel advisors, and even once they already have you captive on board the ship?
None of this is to say that you should not buy Plus or Premium if you want to. But if you really are curious as to whether you should or not based upon dollars and cents, then, please, don't ask randos on reddit. Do the math.

Maine Fungi Fest will be held at the University of Southern Maine - Portland, located conveniently in downtown Portland and only minutes from Interstate's Rt. 95 and Rt. 295
ON CAMPUS LODGING:
Portland Commons is located right next to our event program area. All rooms within Portland Commons have in-suite restrooms. All bedrooms have a full XL or twin XL bed w/linen (double apartments), an individual closet, a desk, a chair, and a bureau.
Rooms can be purchased on ME Fungi Fest’s website for both Friday Night and/or Saturday Night. Check in time & check out time TBD.
Parking I just checked with the organizer and when you buy a ticket, you get a code to purchase parking for $5.
