My community theater is holding auditions soon for Putting it Together, and I have never seen a production of this nor am I very familiar with it despite my lifelong love of Sondheim.
I (F 40's) am planning to audition. We can always write that we'd accept any role, but since there are only two female-presenting roles, I'm wondering if I should select an audition piece that aims for one of the roles in particular. The descriptions say Woman 1 is 40's-60's and Woman 2 is 20's-40s. I am not a strong classic belter, but I have a pretty large range including a rich alto range and a high mix that I've been working hard to strengthen. So I'm right in the middle on both age and voice part.
So my question is, how much does the storyline matter? I had read that it's completely sung-through, but then I saw elsewhere that at least Man 3 has a monologue to open the show. And if it's sung-through, is the plot a very loose one where if you get it, OK, but if not, you just get to hear a bunch of great songs and that's OK too? Any advice to help me understand how plot happens in this show would be so helpful. Thanks.

I have a model that uses a subdivision modifier and I need to export it and move it to After Effects, problem is that subdivision modifier doesn't actually seem to create any vertices (at least not when exported). Is there any way I could get around this or change it into vertices? Thanks!

As a beginner just covering the ranked tracks with decent gliders is enough. You might still learn something though** submitted by Napstar007 to MarioKartTour [link] [comments] I post some data I made for myself (sheet link here , or see graphic below), top coin+/banana+ gliders full year. the gliders I deem interesting for ranked are colored, especially the top 5. https://preview.redd.it/qbj0pg7zce0d1.jpg?width=1948&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b345cfd352557411fdfc4b8107c3c1f8b71ab0f As you might see there is a gap in ranked usage between #5 glittering glider 19 ranked usage and the #6 gold mario's hat balloon with 12. That's why I think the top 5 are the most useful and interesting, especially the 8-bit block glider which is in general an absolute top glider generally available (discount mario tour, past already) and the gold cloud balloons, which can randomly rarely appear in your shop similar to gold chuck. The glittering glider is another freely available glider which has its sale 2 tours of now during princess tour, a real money sale for ~5$, during that tour and the 2 following tours it wont be available in shop rotation. The other 2 top 5, gold hard hat and gold 8-bit glider are also very interesting and premium achievement sales for roughly ~15$ only happening once a year, so not freely available. Of these two if I would have to chose one, I would definitely take the gold hard hat balloon over the gold 8-bit glider. As you can see there aren't that many top coin+ gliders for ranked making these 5 very valuable. Gold mario's hat balloon is one I intend to invest into, it overlaps a bit with lava rocks lightning+ glider. It's honestly disappointing, it's a ranked glider that came out during the anniversary tour, last tour of the year still able to receive a lot of buffs, but so far it seems to be getting the gold ranked glider treatment, not getting many ranked tracks. I still hope for it to receive more. Generally the newer gliders have more tracks in general (also ACR unique usage). Even some of the 11 ranked reward/gold pass gliders can be very useful, although for ranked they are more filler gliders, but they cover specific certain harder to cover tracks. Generally coin+ gliders increase coin frenzy odds when in 1st/2nd position, decrease coinbox single item odds there and finally also give a few more points for coins of item boxes which are not lying on the track. Banana+ gliders are interesting because they add a lot of points to each action when using banana drivers. The giant bananas aren't affected, but after they they split the smaller ones when they hit give more points which over the course of a race can add up. These additonal points become increasingly important above 200 actions when the bonus points boost ends, but can already before add very rough estimate ~1k - 2k points to your score. At least it's way more noticable than the extra points of the coin+ glider. I think banana+ gliders are interesting due to the many giant banana miis we are investing in, but also due to triple banana miis, which are of interest to many after investing into the plus skill miis. Generally the banana+ glider will affect most positions and drivers, so I think it's among the worse glider items to have, it makes it a bit more difficult/grindy to get the score you want, unless you specifically driver with a banana skill driver. It affects mostly single items though and not much the frenzies. A banana frenzy can also be comparable to a coin frenzy even without the banana+ already. So I think these gliders are overal okay, but really shine when you use giant/triple banana. I would now not go out of my way to cover everything with banana+ gliders, but the top 2 - 5 might be of interest. From a rough check these seem roughly to add ~6 ranked tracks overlaping with giant/triple banana miis. So again it's a luxury concern, but may invested into the smiley flower for example anyway. The wiggler parachute actually looks the best to me in that regard, a bit better than smiley even. Para-panini, Mint & Berry Balloons and stealth glider are all similarly okay, but a step bellow the first two. The piranha plants balloon #6 I actually found least useful for ranked banana mii overlap, although it's general ranked stats are decent. Now the part with details and explanation about the glider skills and driving position, why consider buying them.These are more luxury concerns geared towards late game, but some of these items and also the knowledge behind it benefits everyone, Except for coinbox/giant banana the coin+ is the best item since it will increase your odds to get a coin frenzy in 1st place by almost 5% from the usual 50% (to get a specific frenzy, not general frenzy odds). This is very good for non-plus skill drivers that go for coin frenzies in 1st position, but also for backrunning drivers with boomerang, LuckySeven or Bowser Shell, since there frenzies and singles aren't affected and when they go to the front to get 1st place it helps getting coin frenzies. But in my opinion, the mii meta going for double or triple coin frenzies with non-plus skill miis makes coin+ even more useful.In the graphic below you find the frenzy and single item odds for a level 4 boomerang driver with a coin+ glider on the left and a lightning+ glider on the right (which is neutral except 7th and 8th position) for comparison. frenzy and single item odds for a skill level 4 HE boomerang drivers with on the left a HE coin+ glider and on the right a HE lightning+ glider for comparison, mkt toolbox In first position in the first lap you have 12% general frenzy odds meaning every 8.3 runs you get a frenzy. The odds that this frenzy is a coin frenzy is usually 50%, meaning every second time. So in total every 16.6th run when you restart you get a coin frenzy (or if you dont restart every 16.6th item box). As you can see general frenzy odds increase the further back you are in position, front-running drivers like coinbox especially, non-plus skill going for coinbox and giant banana (which can ideally start in 5th get the frenzy and go first quickly) profit the most of the increased frenzy odds a drivers gets by leveling using skill tickets. Relatively back-running drivers already have way higher general frenzy odds and profit less above level 4 for HE drivers. If you include the coin+ glider you get a coin frenzy after 15.3 item boxes/runs/resets, so 8% more coin frenzy at an item box or also 8% less resetting at the start. These 8% will also help you get a 2nd and 3rd coin frenzy and finally even add some small amount of additional points from the single coin item and the coins of the coin frenzy. The following table shows how with leveling the odds to get a coin frenzy increases and the number of resets or item boxes you need decreases. It's rougly 20% less grind at the first item box with each level-up that increases frenzy odds, on the level-up to 8 is roughly half of that. The difference between 1st and final lap in 1st position is just 1% in terms of general frenzy odds, much less than for the back-running drivers. This makes leveling front-runners even more important for the final lap. The amount of runs you need for a coin frenzy from HE skill level 2 to 8 is roughly half, with level 4 being the most efficient in terms of tickets. Level 4 is really a turning point for frenzies no matter if it's a front or a back-runner. At least for low level front-runners instead of going for coin frenzies I would consider rather trying to get 3 coinbox npcs into the game and go for mushroom frenzies in 8th position before going to the front, these give 24 actions, 6 actions less than a coin frenzy, you get less coins of the track potentially, so I would collect coin spill of bots to make up for it.
For banana+ I consider the extra points you get as more important than increased banana frenzy odds (which dont affect giant banana/triple banana directly and not much indirectly either). It's still the second worst item for coinbox singles in 1st place giving roughly -17% less coinbox singles and -4.6% less coinbox frenzies, followed by green shell by -9% and -1.5% coinbox frenzies.
Similarly to the coinbox discussion, single giant banana and giant banana frenzies also are decreased in similar fashion. You do not have to jump through hoops now to cover ranked with coin+ and banana+ glider skill, but there are some gliders that are top anyway with this skill and fit well into an optimized glider plan. Gliders I highly recommend for the loop year are the 8-bit block glider and the smiley flower glider, they have top coverage and overlap even neglecting the whole coin+ and banana+ glider skill discussion. Gold cloud balloons although rare is another top glider that helps not having to use the icy mario's moustache green shell+ glider in an optimized glider plan. Gliders I would additionally consider are the glittering glider and wiggler parachute (and the gold hard hat balloon). |

I just did my first shot of Follistem yesterday. I'm 34 and my AMH is sky high- 13. I've been working with an RE since last April and my one and only pregnancy happened naturally (while waiting to start IVF) and resulted in an MC this past February. It was horrible and took FOREVER for my body to return to baseline. This has been the hardest journey of my life and I'm filled with dread since my MC. My mental health has sank to depths I didn't know I was capable of. I'm filled with anxiety and can't stop reading horror stories online. Could really use some encouraging PCOS stories. TIA!

Recently got a job working up at West Point and I am looking at places to move along the Hudson, have been doing a lot of reading and having trouble deciding between Peekskill, Ossining, Nyack, etc. Many of the posts I've read seem more geared toward families who are moving so additional thoughts and opinions would be helpful. I am planning to move up sometime end of June or early July. A few background details that might help - single, M26, planning to drive up so I'll have my car. Would like to live somewhere with easy access to the Metro North as I have friends and family in NYC and will likely spend most weekends going down there I imagine.
I'll need to commute to West Point 4-5 days a week starting in August once the semester starts up. I also do bjj and there's a great gym in White Plains (Essential Jiu Jitsu) that I'd love to join and that's something I'd likely do 3-4 times a week in the evenings. Seems like Peekskill and Ossining fit the bill the most with commutes to West Point being ~25 (from Peekskill) to ~35 (from Ossining) min away, and then commute to the gym being ~20 (from Ossining) to ~33 (from Peekskill) min away. So kind of in the middle I guess.
I'm from North Carolina so I'm used to driving most places, and I know these commute times are pretty low it seems for what many people have to do from this area (i.e. into Manhattan most days) so I'm open to any suggestions. Peekskill vs Ossining, which would be best based on all this? Other pros and cons (e.g. daily tolls to cross the Hudson to get to West Point)? Any other suggestions for towns I should check out? Anything major I'm not considering? Would also love suggestions for apartments in these areas if you have them; my budget is pretty solid so open to anywhere.

The game will last 3 days and will work similarly to Tag or Hide and Seek. There will be three hiders, one of the hiders will be the leader, and if they get caught, everyone loses. Runner have trackers on the chaser but the chasers don't have trackers on the runners. The runners can select three facts about the place they are to give THEY MUST BE USEFUL . Chasers can ask for extra questions but this allows the runners to freeze you for half an hour.
The runners have 3 hours to get as far as they can and are allowed strategize with eachother. The game starts in London at King's Cross St Pancras. Runner have to complete challenges and in return they will receive power ups that will give them powers like getting an hour to move their hiding spot and bring able to freeze the chasers.

I don't even know where to begin, I just don't have anyone to vent to. I would worry my family too much if I told them. I can't leave my situation bc I have no savings, and no one to go live with.
My husband (32) is an awful human being, and no one knows because he hides it so well.
This all started around the time the pandemic hit; I (33) quit my job bc business was dying and I worked mostly on commission so I jumped ship.
Up until this point, me and my husband had lived together for years and always had jobs. However, shortly after I quit, I severely injured my shoulder and required a lot of help and bed rest.
This is where everything went downhill with us.
He didn't clean anything. Ever. The dishes piled up and became moldy. The trash piled up. And so did the laundry. He did absolutely f*ck all to care for me or the house. And I realized just how much that I was doing that he didn't. It dawned on me that he was actually a man-child and put on a great facade for a long time. His mask began to slip. He actually HATED caring for me.
Years of me cooking and cleaning for us because I loved him...and he couldn't even do the same for me when I was vulnerable. As a result, it took me longer to heal. He never wanted to cook for me, (couldn't even wash a single dish anyway) so he always got me fast-food instead.. Oh yeah and would get upset that we couldn't have s*x bc I was injured.
Fast forward a few years, we have a child, and he got worse since his son was born. I thought he was finally changing because he seemed so happy and excited when I was pregnant, and actually began taking care of me more.
But it didn't last long.
He didn't help me with my newborn when I was starving and sleep deprived. (Not to mention I was torn open downstairs from giving birth!!)
Made the excuse that he needed extra sleep just because he had to wake up at 3am for work. When there were plenty of ways to work out when I could nap and he could take the baby. Hell, all he had to do was cook or clean for me and he could do none of it. All that extra time went to playing video games.
I was on the verge of hurting myself and losing my mind but it didn't concern him not one bit.
And when he DID help, guess what? He would fall asleep with the baby in his arms which is extremely dangerous!!! Just not a fuck to give in sight.
He stopped caring about Valentines Day, Christmas, Birthdays, and even Mother's Day.
He purposely picks fights around these times.
If I didn't say anything at all he wouldn't even acknowledge it.
I even pointed out flowers on sale at Target and he ignored me.
He doesn't play with or feed his son. That all falls on me too.
It really hurts to see everyone we know having a nice Mother's Day and then mine can't even get me a simple card.
And now that we are going through hard times, its all my fault since I don't have a job. But how the fuck can I get a job when we have NO ONE to watch my child, and he works nearly 12 hours a day??
It sounds like he's just miserable with his life and acts like he deserves more..
Which trust me, he doesn't. He thinks he still has his high school looks or something, and he doesn't. He's gotten huge and he's balding, but he acts like he can have anyone else.
He loves to use my trauma to mess with my head, make fun of me, scare me etc.
If I leave, he's going to make my life hell. He won't leave bc he knows his family will give HIM hell.
Idk how to leave when I have nothing to fall back on.
TL;DR my husband treats me like trash instead of just leaving, how do I take the steps to leave?

How many more Ukrainians must lose their lives for the sake of this gruesome activity by the Brits? Hello, I'm not really a math guy but I really wanted to do something that I haven't seen anyone do online and I need your help. I'm sure you all play games so maybe this would help you all as well.
My old desk height was 67.94 cm and my new desk height is 73.30 cm. I want to calculate and convert my old sensitivity on CS2/Valorant which is 81.69 cm/360 to my new desk height or any other desk height I may use.
I was using common sense for my formula but I need some help regarding making sure it's solid.
Right now what I do is I take the difference of the two desk heights and I take my cm/360 and divide it by the difference, then add that result to the cm/360
73.30 cm - 67.94 cm = 5.36 difference
81.69 cm/360 divided by 5.36 = 15.24 (cm/360) + 81.69 cm/360 = 96.93 cm/360 converted.

As we are getting a trailer for a much changed version of the Second Age today, I decided I would share what a first season in a series might look like for the story of Tolkien’s Second Age, while staying very close to the timeline and characters. I’ve taken some ideas I’ve seen from other creators who have made similar attempts at this, namely Council of Rings and Tolkien Untangled, but most are my own. As of now I’m not aware of a complete outline that exists for the first season of this sort of adaptation. In any case, this outline is essentially a summary of a complete text with 10 chapters that exists but is still in progress.
I’ve split the season into 10 episodes, as I think that’s ideal, and into pairs of 3-episode arcs I call Sagas, which will cover certain time periods. But each of these sagas will more or less function like a contained story, following certain characters during periods of their lives. And each is about 3 episodes between 50-60 minutes, meaning each is the length of a long film.
I started with a compressed timeline where season 1 would take place between 1200-1600, starting with the year Annatar arrives in Ost-in-Edhil. In this timeline Tar-Aldarion would essentially switch places with Tar-Surion. I think that the actual canon timeline allows for a very interesting look at the differences in passage of time between elves, Númenoreans, and Middle Men. It's more challenging but also more rewarding. The drawbacks of the canon timeline are that Aldarion dies close to mid-season, whereas in the compressed timeline we could follow Aldarion as he ages throughout the season. Therefore the whole season takes place between SA 725 and SA 1600.
That being said, there are still a few alterations and non-canon additions. The big alteration is that Annatar steals the nine when he leaves Eregion around SA 1500, instead of when he destroys Ost-in-Edhil around SA 1695. The other non-canon additions are Middle Men characters, which there are few examples during this time period, that Annatar can begin to seduce with the Rings of Power.
This was just a bunch of fun for me, but I hope this effort will demonstrate that we can have a great story that stays faithful to Tolkien’s timeline and characters.
Sagas of the Second Age: Season 1
Saga 1 (Episodes 1-3): The Mariner (covering events from SA 725-750)

Together they discover the dwarf cities of Ered Luin, and then the future site of Vinyalondë at the mouth of the Gwathló. Aldarion discovers the that the Men of Middle-earth are not as evil as he was told by his family in Númenor, and that some even speak the same language of the Edain that he does. Elrond and Aldarion then travel to Amroth’s kingdom in Belfalas. While Amroth is showing Aldarion the black lands of Mordor in the distance, they are ambushed by orcs, and narrowly escape with their lives. Before departing back for Númenor, Aldarion says goodbye to his new friend Elrond and the High King Gil-galad. Back in Númenor, Aldarion meets Erendis again and proposes to her. She asks if he is done with his travels, he says he is, and she accepts.
High King Gil-galad. Gil-galad endeavors to heal the trauma of Middle-earth. While Aldarion is travelling the lands of Middle-earth, he goes to settle a conflict between kingdoms of Gwaithirum and Breeland. A battle ensues between these kingdoms of Men and Gil-galad is unable to stop it. Before Aldarion departs back for Númenor, Gil-galad tells him that he would very much welcome his help in mediating the conflicts of the tribes of Middle-earth, as Aldarion speaks their language. Gil-galad perceives the return of the shadow of Morgoth, and departs to discover the source.
Galadriel. By lake Evendim, Galadriel admits Celebrimbor into her company. Despite the history of their families and some initial distrust between them, they realize they have a shared vision for continuing the great works of Gondolin. Together they discover the dwarf kingdom of Kazad-dûm. Galadriel is able to convince the dwarves of the mutual benefit of their cooperation in crafting. Durin III is eventually convinced, he agrees to allow and to help with the establishment of the future capital of Eregion: Ost-in-Edhil. There the works of the Noldor and dwarves will benefit each other for many centuries.
Saga 2 (Episodes 4-6): The Stirring of Númenor (Covering events from SA 1075-1350)

This situation causes a conflict in Armenelos between supporters of Soronto and supporters of Ancalimë, also between those who want to heed Gil-galad's call and those who don't. Ancalimë is seen as the elf-friend, while Soronto is staunchly against the armament of Númenor. Aldarion decides to change the law succession in Númenor in favor of Ancalimë. When Ancalimë is crowned, she reverses her initial position to heed Gil-galad, and decides to preserve Númenor as a land of peace.
Galadriel. Ost-in-Edhil is a great city now, and both elves and dwarves are seen thriving. A visitor from Aman arrives who calls himself Annatar. He demonstrates himself to be akin to the Noldor in his love and expertise with crafts, and says he was a student of Aüle. He wins the favor of Celebrimbor and the Gwaith-i-Mírdain, the crafter's guild, and soon becomes the favored partner of Celebrimbor. As the friction between Galadriel and Annatar increases, Annatar moves the Gwaith-i-Mírdain turn on Galadriel. She decides to depart to Lórinand by route of Kazad-dûm with her daughter Celebrían, while Celeborn stays behid in Eregion. Galadriel is graciously welcomed in Kazad-dûm, and her relationship with the dwarves grows greater. At last, she arrives in Lórinand and meets the King Amdír.

Sensing that he has been deceived, Celebrimbor crafts the Three in secret. He gives two to Gil-galad, and the remaining to Galadriel, and admits that he was wrong to doubt her.
Gil-galad. Minastir, the heir of Númenor, stays in the halls of Gil-galad as Aldarion once did. Minastir meets with the descendants of the Middle Men Adlarion befriended, though many more generations have passed for them than for Minastir. Aldarion’s travels are a tale that some believe to be myth. Gil-galad and Minastir travel the lands of Eriador and mediate the conflicts of Middle Men.

Annatar tells Halmir that the Noldor are withholding the power of prolonged life from mortals, and gifts him a ring. As Halmir is an elf-friend, his ancestors all being loyal to High King Gil-galad, he refuses Annatar’s suggestion. Eventually, Halmir succumbs to his curiosity and doubt and puts the ring on, entering the Realm of Shadows. He perceives immediately that his decay has been slowed, and indeed that the Noldor may have deceived him.
Saga 4 (Episode 10): Orodruin (1600)
Sauron crafts the One Ring in Orodruin, and Barad-dûr, the largest fortress ever built, has been completed. We Annatar standing on at the height of Barad-dûr wearing the One, below his vast legions of orcs.
As soon as the One Ring has been crafted, Galadriel, Celebrimbor, and the others realize they have been deceived and that Annatar was in fact Sauron, and they remove their rings.
The Men who received Rings of Power from Sauron realize too late they are deceived, as they are completely subservient now to the will of Sauron.

So The Bouncer features three different stats for you to level up Sion, Volt, and Koh with, including attack power, health and defense. With defense, you have a limited amount of block you can do in this game before it breaks and you temporarily can't use it. At which point, you just have to move the left control stick to strafe around your enemies to dodge their attacks instead of block them.
However, unlike its spiritual successor, Kingdom Hearts, there are no dodge commands outside of just strafing, alone. You can't just roll, high jump, or super-glide like you would have in Kingdom Hearts 1, or dash and double jump as two additional dodging abilities in Kingdom Hearts 2 going forward.
So does The Bouncer really incentivize dodging with your limited amount of blocking, especially if you chose Koh over Sion and Volt, the latter whom I'm sure would have blocked better than dodged.

I had 4 months sober last year and gave it away in November. I haven’t been able to stop since then. I used to be a drink on the weekends type of person and would go overboard every time because I don’t know how to stop. This time around, I’m drinking on some week nights and the weekend.
The problem is, I want to stop but I also don’t want to stop. I hate the fact that I shouldn’t be drinking. I wish I could just have a drink or two every other week and be fine but I can’t. I know I was able to get sober for 4 months but it feels so different this time around. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m mostly surrounded by boyfriend’s family members who love to drink. I know it’s not an excuse, but it certainly makes things harder. I’m at a loss.

The problem is, I want to stop but I also don’t want to stop. I hate the fact that I shouldn’t be drinking. I wish I could just have a drink or two every other week and be fine but I can’t. I know I was able to get sober for 4 months but it feels so different this time around. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m mostly surrounded by boyfriend’s family members who love to drink. I know it’s not an excuse, but it certainly makes things harder. I’m at a loss.

So i'm planning to create a 3D motorsports museum/exhibition as a bachelor thesis project (dont know the actual name in english, sorry) so naturally i would have to get the models and historical information to achieve that, but i know all of those brands and designs are protected by copyright law and all that jazz, but you know, since its going to be just that, another homework with more importance, is there a chance i can get away with just using the names without permission? after all probably like 10 people are going to use then its going to be forgotten, because i dont really see myself developing and releasing the whole thing for this very reason.
It's not going to be like an actual game, just the 3d space where you walk and interact with some of the information and that's it.
Also i think i should ask this somewhere else but im going to use unity for that so might as well ask here too.

I put some forethought into it but the choice to commit was kind of last minute because we couldn’t get her later. Her name is Mochi. She’s adorable, tends to bite and lick things despite barely having her teeth of her own, likes to walk around and wander across whatever room she’s in, sometimes she pees on the pad and sometimes she doesn’t ( we’re working on it, ) she’s pretty well-behaved and quiet, she likes to take naps, she loves cuddling so holding her is nice, she doesn’t like being along and whines whenever she is so I try to leave her with supervision as much as I can but I’m worried about days where I have to go to my classes. I’ve never had a Maltipoo before. My previous dog was a mix between a Shih Tzu and a Terrier. From what I read Maltipoos they seemed to act a lot like how Cookie used to. It seems like they’ll look similar when the puppy grows up too. Maybe that contributed to me wanting a Maltipoo in the end. She reminds me of Cookie, sometimes to the point where I tear up when I’m with her, but I don’t resent her for it. I miss Cookie so much. I feel like a failed her as an owner because she died on my watch so I’m determined to give Mochi the best life I can give her. I already love her. She’s sweet, she’s precious, she’s beautiful so I want to make sure that she’s happy and that I’m doing this right. I need particular help when it comes to training, to be honest. If any of you have any tips, advice or can just share your experiences then I would really appreciate it. |

Credit where credit is due. I reached out through the Kickstarter “Contact” page about my shipping being incredibly high, even after the corrections (more so than other people in the US with similar orders who were posting on Reddit) and that I understood it could be affected by weight, dimensions, number of packages, etc. but asked them to look into it.
It was a Saturday. Within two hours they just straight up credited almost half of my shipping.
I know there have been issues and complaints, but I have to say, following the directions they provided, I had great success and appreciate their Customer Service absolutely crushing it as we get closer and closer to shipments going out.

Jerry goes on a diatribe about how college are the most important years of someone's life and who should overhear him but the President of Columbia, who invites Jerry to give the year's commencement address not realizing that Jerry was being sarcastic the whole time.
Jerry, with George's help, scrambles to write a commencement speech, but no matter what they come up with, it sounds like Jerry is being sarcastic when he doesn't mean to be. Recognizing this is a problem, George advises Jerry to write the most boring, banal, boilerplate speech he can think of, and to make it brief. Jerry settles on "Education is really important, and all of you are really important too."
Finally, the big day comes. As the university president is delivering a long-winded introduction for Jerry, George is sitting at the very back of the crowd when a young college grad begins coming on to him. She makes it clear she has a thing" for short, stocky bald men with glasses, and proposes that she and George head to the President's office, but a stone's throw away, which she knows will be unoccupied at this time, but there's a catch: she only has as much time with George as Jerry's commencement address will last, because after that she is the first student to cross the stage and receive her diploma.
Flustered, George does the one thing he can think of: as soon as Jerry walks up to the podium, he lets out a massive "BOOOOO! Free Palestine!" and walks out with the young woman in tow, only to be followed by several dozen more students.
The President of Columbia storms off the stage in a huff, thinking the graduation ceremony has been ruined. Jerry asks him where he is going: "Back to my office! I'm going to revoke the diplomas of everyone of those spoiled children who think they can use this college as their own personal play-thing for their sick, hedonistic desires."
