Broken dragunov sale

Have had the Embody for close to the 30 day return period and I’m wondering if all Embody’s are somewhat noisy or if it’s just some. I bought it on sale so if I return it I won’t be buying another one without the sale so I’m unsure what to do. The main culprits are some noises when reclining/unreclining, when moving the chair quickly across the carpet sometimes it clicks/squeaks, every now and then when I push my back into the backrest it’ll pop (like the plastic does, but nothing is broken). I’m unsure if this is normal, and I’m debating on if I should just send it back. It’s comfortable and I enjoy it but if it’s not perfect that feels like a lot of $ to be spending for imperfection. Any feedback is appreciated!

Me and my boyfriend are having a baby in just a couple months, I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant. Our current apartment situation is not the best. No air conditioning, bug infestations and holes in the floor that stops us from fully containing it, mold on the other side of the duplex, a severely broken fridge and a bathtub that floods the kitchen if filled. Birds live in the walls and the flooring is super uneven. The rent is being raised, we are on a month to month lease, and our apartments will be up for sale in July. It isn't sanitary for a newborn, but we are struggling to find somewhere else in our budget that also allows our cat. Family is not really an option, it's very very last resort for personal reasons.
I'm currently unemployed and probably will be until 3 months postpartum, at which point I'm planning on going to work in a factory again and having our son go to a family friends daycare, and we will soon be able to afford a nicer apartment and start putting money back for a house within about a year of being dual income again.
Our goal is to move by July first if we are going to move, because he has a bonus coming on June 21st that will be big enough to cover all our moving costs and deposits and such. We are just barely middleclass income so we make just too much for any help but not enough to really get by.
I guess our options are to -
•Lie about our cat to try and have more options. (Getting rid of her is not an option) •Go over our renting budget and REALLY struggle. •Try and push through here and just hope our apartments don't get sold because if they do our rent will skyrocket.
Or something else that I'm not thinking of? Any little bits of advice to just get through these hard couple of months will be so helpful.

Is it possible to link Sales Orders to Existing Purchase orders? Drop Shipping and Special Items don't seem to fit with our purchasing process.
We purchase items in advance as well as requested by a customer. The items we purchase are raw ingredients which is often broken down into smaller pack sizes. So a customer may want a smaller size but we order in larger sizes.
We often create one Purchase order with many items, say 20. And this could be for multiple different Sales Orders or one item might be for 3 different sales orders as examples.
We would like to have on the Sales Order item lines what the PO# is and the ETA. Then would also like when a shipment is delayed to know what Sales Orders are linked to that PO so we can notify the customers.
Is this achievable?

The one time I managed to get to the theater for the original release of the Sailor Moon R movie (in 2016), It was Thursday, the day before it was supposed to leave. And they canceled it. I'm assuming for lack of ticket sales. Of course I was heart broken/livid. (I wore my SM shirt and I guess nobody was familiar because they actually asked if I wanted to see another movie.)
I did not manage to make it to the second round for any of the screenings when they re-released all three movies, pretty sure because my insomnia was hitting me.
I was wondering if anyone else's theater pulled this silly-ness back in the day? I can understand lack of sales for a bigger movie, but canceling something that's a limited time event is a bit insane. Very not fair. It wasn't like it was going to draw in millions of dollars anyway. (Sorry Usagi, just not the cash cow you were in the 90s, but you're close.)
This and missing the MLP movie (more for circumstances) are gonna be two of my big regrets in life. But I guess those are nice regrets to have as opposed to something more serious. Thanks for reading!

So I’ve recently gotten back into fo4 and have been playing through it on ps5 (yes I know it’s stupid but I don’t have a pc and it was on sale too). Anyway, I decided to buy all the DLCs since it was on sale, downloaded it and came back to the game no longer wanting to open past the loading screen. The menu said the add ons weren’t installed even though they were. I deleted the game and reinstalled it without any of the DLC installed. Nope, still broken. 4 hours of wait for disappointment.
I feel like an idiot since I saw some stuff in April about the DLC being bugged on ps5. Thought maybe it would it fixed by now a month later and me being impulsive bought it all on sale without thinking straight. I never learn when it comes to Bethesda I guess, which sucks because I really want to love these games but moments like this just make it so hard. Next gen update, truly.
So yeah, any advice on how I could fix this would be sorely appreciated. I’ve been having so much fun playing recently and I don’t want this ruined for me again.

I just joined the Broken Binding! Had never heard of it until today, made a purchase, added myself to the Tier2 waiting list, bummed that the Tier1 waiting list is closed but also excited that so many people are interested in it.
Anyway, besides the Tier 1 and 2 subscriptions there are books on their website marked "Private Sale" and you appear to need a password to be able to see these items. Are these connected to Tier1&2 are not available for anyone without a subscription? I'm from the Netherlands, I can imagine it has to do with shipping as well possibly?
If not, how do I find out about the passwords in order to try and see if I'd like to buy them? For instance, the Project Hail Mary sale interested me but I can't open the page.
I tried looking for an answer on this sub but I couldn't find it. If it's posted but I missed it, sorry in advance.

Someone of you have seen my previous posts. We are no contact with MIL currently. She has been obsessing over my husband’s 30th birthday. She realized that she won’t be seeing him for it and mailed his gifts.
We have told her a million times to stop mailing gifts and they won’t be accepted. My husband opens the package and says to me, “apparently you have a birthday gift too”. I’m confused because my birthday is in January, so it’s either 6 months too early or late.
I open the bag and it’s two witch statues. Not cute witches either, down right creepy and we’re clearly from a garage sale or thrift store. Not in good shape at all. My husband was pissed and immediately went outside and threw them away.
My husband then called his grandma because she kept begging him to open it and said he would like his gift. He calls her up and they’re talking and he asks her if she knows what the gift was. She responded with saying what his gift was and “she picked out two witches for your wife because she knows she loves Halloween”
My husband then explained that the witches were not cute and were horrifying looking. He also said to her “it feel like she’s calling her a witch”. His grandma’s tone changed and she said, “I didn’t even think of that”
So now I’m left wondering. Was she calling me a witch? Why send a birthday gift 6 months late? Why send Halloween decor in May? Why send a witch over other Halloween things like pumpkins or ghosts?
Am I being over dramatic?
EDIT: I forgot this part. His stepdad texted him and asked if he would open the gift on FaceTime with her. We’re no contact so obviously we said no, but could you imagine 💀
EDIT 2: regarding the gift giving, it’s been a long battle. First, we just ignored any gifts that were sent. Then we’ve tried mailing it back or dropping it back at their porch. Lately, it’s gone to straight trash.
It was going to go to the trash, but GIL really wanted him to open it. GIL is not a flying monkey. She’s extremely kind and in her 80s. She’s really sad that her family is broken, but also go through periods of no contact with MIL. Normally GIL and husband don’t discuss MIL at all because she understands. GIL recently lost her husband, so she’s going through a hard period and feels she doesn’t have much time left. So we’ve had more grace about it than we normally would have.

When I'm not getting my tunes from The Overload, I like digging for stuff myself on Discogs. But I get slowed down by YouTube videos that don't load or opening loads of tabs when I want to queue up releases to listen to.
So I built a Chrome extension to help me explore Discogs faster which is now available for free.
Shovel is a music player that lives in the Chrome side panel. It makes it fast and easy to listen to releases as you're browsing. Just click the Shovel button next to a release on Discogs to add it to your listening queue.

• It works on every key page - artists, labels, sellers, search, lists and more.
• Your queue persists as you browse different pages or even leave Discogs. So you can build a playlist and then let Shovel autoplay. It's also really quick to skip through tracks and releases.
• YouTube videos load first time! :) And any broken links are auto-skipped.
• If you like a release, you can add it to your Discogs wantlist or shop for items for sale.
• You can also choose to skip track intros, which can be useful when for digging for club music.

Couple of things I'm thinking about adding:

• Bulk add artist/label
• YouTube integration to quickly add to playlists (track/release/whole queue)
• Skip back/forward (e.g. 15/30s)

Katherine, Janet, Rebbie and Randy Jackson are in court. Only one of the siblings was allowed in the courtroom as they are potential witnesses. Janet accompanied Katherine during morning session while Rebbie was with her during the afternoon session.
Paul Gongaware Testimony
Jackson direct
Paul Gongaware is one of the defendants in the case. He's an adverse witness called by the plaintiffs. Gongaware is Co-CEO of Concerts West, part of AEG Live. Gongaware has toured with Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin and is currently on tour with The Rolling Stones. He worked for Jerry Weintraub in the 80s
He produced Prince's tour in 2004. He has not promoted/produced tours since. Gongaware has not talked to Prince after the tour
Gongaware was a CPA licensed in NY and Washington. He said he believes he's still licensed but hasn't checked status since there's no need
Gongaware testified that landing Jackson, whom he felt was the biggest artist of his era, was huge for AEG. In a 2008 email to AEG Live President and Chief Executive Randy Phillips, Gongaware described how the company should approach Jackson and his manager about a possible comeback tour:
We need to start at the fundamentals. How we do it. The difference between [Live Nation] and us is huge. We are artist-based, they are Wall Street-driven. We are smart people. We are completely honest and transparent with everything we do. That's how [founder] Phil [Anschutz] wants it
Gongaware said he worked on an Elvis Presley tour. Panish asked if Elvis died of drug overdose, and Gongaware said "Yes". Gongaware replied to a condolences' email on July 5, 2009:

"I was working on the Elvis tour when he died, so I kind of knew what to expect. Still quite a shock"
"So you knew what to expect when Michael Jackson passed away, is that right, sir?", Brian Panish asked.
"I kind of knew what was going to happen, yes",Gongaware answered.

Despite working as a tour promoter for 37 years -- including for Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead and many others -- Gongaware testified that the only artist he ever knew that was using drugs on tour was Rick James
Panish asked about working for Jackson 5, Gongaware said had no interaction with Michael. Gongaware was a logistics manager on the Dangerous tour in 92-93. Panish said Michael made $100 million and donated it to charity. Gongaware said he didn't know
When Gongaware met Jackson was with Colonel Parker (Elvis' manager) in Las Vegas. Michael had wanted to meet the Colonel
Gongaware explained the difference between being tour manager and managing the tour. He talked about Michael's History tour

Panish: "You knew that Michael had been to rehab during the dangerous tour?"
Gongaware: "Yes, based on the statement he made after the tour"

Gongaware said he never knew MJ was involved with drugs until after the end of the Dangerous tour. Gongaware told LAPD he was aware of Jackson's previous use of pills/painkillers but did not want to get involved. Gongaware had known for years that Michael Jackson was taking painkillers but wasn't aware he was abusing them until MJ abruptly canceled his Dangerous world tour in the early 1990s to enter rehab. Gongaware said he knew of "two occasions" when Michael used painkillers between shows, but he claimed he didn't grasp the scope of the Michael's sickness until the taped 1993 announcement.

"I would dispute knowing that he had a problem. I wasn't aware that there were problems", Gongaware said

Gongaware said he knew a doctor was medicating Jackson during the Dangerous tour but did not find out why the tour was eventually cut short.

"Didn't have time,I was just dealing with what was in front of me", he said

Panish said Dr. Finkelstein testified under oath that Gongaware knew Michael had problems with painkillers before the Dangerous tour ended.

Panish: "Do you dispute that?" (Finkelstein testimony)
Gongaware: "I knew that he had pain"

Gongaware said Dr. Finkelstein is his doctor and friend and that they talk off and on, but he doesn't know specifics of the doctor's deposition. Dr. Finkelstein said he gave MJ painkillers after the concert in Bangkok following Michael's scalp surgery. In Gongaware's video deposition:

"Did you ever ask Dr. Finkelstein if he treated Michael during the Dangerous tour?"
"He wouldn't talk about that stuff"

Panish: "Were you always honest with Michael?"
Gongaware: "I believe I was"
Panish: "Did you throw around numbers to trick Michael Jackson?"

Panish elicited contradictory testimony asking over and over about Gongaware's memory, how long he spent with lawyers to discuss testimony.
On the Bad Tour MJ sold out 10 stadiums at 75,000 tickets per night.

Panish: "That's a pretty big number?"
Gongaware: "Huge"
Panish: "In 2 hours, how many tickets sold?"
Gongaware: "In initial presale we sold 31 shows"
Panish: "The fastest you had ever seen?"
Gongaware: "Yes"
"No one knows how many shows we can get with Mikey," said Gongaware.

Panish asked about name "Mikey" - he said he used it occasionally
Email on 2/27/09 from Gongaware to Phillips:

"We are holding all of the risk, if Michael won't approve it we go without his approval.We let Mikey know just what it will cost him in terms of him making money, and then we go with or without him in London. We cannot be forced into stopping this, which Michael will try to do because he is lazy and constantly changes his mind to fit his immediate wants"

Gongaware said his use "Mikey" was affectionate, not disparaging, and that the 'lazy' crack amounted to "poor choice of words" but one that accurately reflected how Michael

"really didn't like to rehearse. He didn't like to do these kinds of things."

"People were aware at this point there would be a press conference. Michael wouldn't show up at the conference, it'd cost money," Gongaware said. "It wasn't much risk at all, we hadn't spent money," Gongaware said about that point of the tour. This was prior to news conference.

Gongaware said the situation in London, where they constantly referred to Michael as "Wacko Jacko" would impact marketability to sell tickets

"He doesn't want to do this kind of things, but it was important to show Michael to the world if he wanted to do a show," Gongaware explained

Jurors were shown several e-mails from Gongaware that Jackson lawyers suggested were evidence that AEG Live deliberately misled Jackson about how much money he would make from his comeback concerts and how many days he would have to rest between shows. Gongaware wrote to his boss, AEG Live President Randy Phillips, that they should present gross ticket sales numbers to Jackson, not the percentage of the net profits, during contract talks.

"Maybe gross is a better number to throw around if we use numbers with Mikey listening"

Panish talked about an email Gongaware sent to his secretary suggesting that she design a concert calendar for Jackson using light tan colors for show dates, while drawing attention to his rest days
Don't want the shows to stand out too much when Michael looks at it.Less contrast between work and off. Maybe off days in a contrasting soft color. Put 'OFF' in each off day after July 8, as well. Figure it out so it looks like he's not working so much.

Panish: "Did you want to change the color of the schedule to show Michael would not be working so hard?"
Gongaware: "Yes"
Panish: "Were you trying to fool him?"
Gongaware: "Nah, I wasn't trying to fool him, I wanted to present it in the best possible light"

Gongaware said it would be obvious when Michael would be working and not and he wasn't trying to trick him.
Email on 3/25/09 from Phillips to Gongaware:

"We need to pull the plug now. I will explain"
Panish: "Mr. Phillips wanted to pull the plug on the show, right sir?"
Gongaware: "I think he was referring to pull the plug on Karen Faye. We never talked about pulling the plug on the tour. Not that I recall"
"Kenny wanted the pull because the way she (Faye) handled situations," Gongaware explained. "She tried to control access to Michael and Kenny didn't like that"

Karen Faye expressed strong opinion that the tour as dangerous and impractical for MJ. Panish asked about a chain of emails where Gongaware said the pulling the plug refers to Ms. Faye.

"I believe he was," Gongaware repeated.

In another March 25, 2009, email, Ortega wrote Gongaware that it was Faye's

"strong opinion that this is dangerous and impractical with consideration to Michael's health and ability to perform"

"I thought he was in good shape at the press conference, I was there," Gongaware said at the deposition. Gongaware was at O2 arena and Phillips was with Michael.
"Michael was late, Randy [Phillips] was saying I'm trying to get him going, I'm trying to get him going".
Panish: "Did Randy tell you MJ was drunk and despondent?"
Gongaware: "No, not drunk and despondent. Just said he was having hard time getting him going"

As to Dr. Conrad Murray, Gongaware said there was 1 rehearsal he said hello to him.

"It was basically a hello, on the floor at the Forum. Mikey asked me to retain him. I never hired him"

Panish played an interview of Phillips to SkyTV after Michael died:

"The guy is willing 2 leave his practice for large sum of money, so we hired him"
"I was told Michael wanted him as his doctor for the show," Gongaware said. Gongaware said Michael did not have any illness that he knew of.
Gongaware: "He had taken a physical, he passed the physical and from what I understand there was nothing wrong with him. Maybe some hay fever"
Panish: "Do you know what his blood test showed?"
Gongaware: "It showed it was good"

Gongaware said he received an email from Bob Taylor that everything was fine and that Michael had passed the physical. Gongaware said he never saw the results of the tests and doesn't know who saw them.
Panish showed video deposition of Gongaware and a declaration he signed about a month before giving the deposition. They contradict themselves.At first, Gongaware insisted he did no negotiating with Murray, but, confronted with emails and his previous testimony, he changed his position and said

"The only thing I did with Dr. Murray was negotiate a price." Gongaware said that neither he nor anyone at the AEG investigated Murray's background or credentials
Panish: "First you said how much did you want?"(to Dr. Murray)
Gongaware: "Yes"
Panish: "He said he wanted $5 million, right?"
Gongaware: "That's what he said. He said he had four clinics he would have to close, he would have to lay people off"

Gongaware said Dr. Murray had been Michael's personal doctor for the past 3 years. He said he did not know how many times MJ had seen the doctor.

"Michael insisted on him, recommended him, and that was good enough for me, it was not for me to tell him who his doctor should be" Gongaware said
"The fact that he had been Michael Jackson's personal physician for three years was good enough for me," Gongaware said.

He said that Murray initially asked for $5 million to travel to London with Jackson and tend to him during the tour.

"I just told him it wasn't going to happen," he said, recalling that Jackson then suggested offering him $150,000 a month.

"Michael Jackson insisted on it and recommended him and it was not for me to tell him no," said Gongaware. "I wanted to provide what was necessary for him to do his job...He wanted a doctor and I wanted him to be healthy."

Even after the offer of $150,000, Murray wasn't satisfied.

"He started saying he wanted more and I said, 'The offer is coming directly from the artist," Gongaware said.

Minutes later, he said Murray accepted.

"Did that seem desperate to you?" asked Panish.
"No," said Gongaware. "He just accepted Michael's offer."
"We agreed on what the compensation was going to be, but there were a lot of issues to be resolved," Gongaware said.

Gongaware said he recalled meeting with Dr. Murray where he was told the doctor was going to take care of the medical licensing in London. Gongaware and Timm Wooley are longtime friends. They are currently working on The Rolling Stones tour. Gongaware said he negotiated the price for Dr. Murray, but didn't negotiate the contract. Gongaware explained that he didn't do the negotiation, he would normally refer that to Wooley.
Dr. Finkelstein and Gongaware have been friends for 35-plus years. Gongaware said he never offered Dr. Finkelstein the job of being MJ's doctor and said the doctor would be mistaken if he testified otherwise. Gongaware told the jury he called Dr. Finkelstein to ask what a fair price for a tour doctor would be. Doctor told him it was $10,000/week. As to Dr. Finkelstein wanting to be the tour doctor, Gongaware said he didn't recall specifically, but knew he wanted it.

"After his death we may have talked, but I don't recall specifics," Gongaware said.

Gongaware said he sees Dr. Finkelstein a few times a year, but the subject of Michael never came up. Panish asked Gongaware if Dr. Finkelstein wanted to know if Michael was clean or using drugs. Gongaware said he didn't recall the conversation

Panish asked: "You could have told Dr. Murray at any time that his services were no longer needed, couldn't you?"
"No", Gongaware replied.
Panish: "You were involved in terminating one of the nannies who took care of Michael's kids?"
Gongaware: "Yes"

Gongaware told nanny, Grace Rwamba, that her services would not be needed anymore because AEG was cutting down on Michael's expenses

"I never read the contract, I was there when Michael signed it, but didn't see what was in it," Gongaware said, "Doctor Murray was 100% Michael's cost"

Based on the contract, Gongaware said 95% of the production expenses were Michael's responsibility, 5% AEG.

Panish: "Who decided there was a need for a written contract with Dr. Murray?"
Gongaware: "I don't know"

Gongaware said that if the tour went forward, Dr. Murray would've made $1.5 million for 10 months. Ortega would've made almost that.
Gongaware said although AEG never did a background check on Murray, in his view they had "checked out" the doctor according to their standard practices.

"When we check out someone, we either rely on if we know the person or if they're known in the industry or if they're recommended by the artist & in this case, Dr. Murray was recommended by the artist, in fact, the artist insisted"

Panish pressed Gongaware:

"You did nothing to verify anything about Dr. Murray, isn't that true, sir?"

Panish asked Gongaware if he approved budgets for April-July including Dr. Murray as production expense. He said he didn't know which budgets he approved. "It's my job to get that show on the road," Gongaware said.
Gongaware said he had to know how much the production had spent at any given time, but didn't have time to read the budget.

Panish: "Do you think you're good at your job, sir?"
Gongaware: "Yes"
Panish: "Very good?"
Gongaware: "I think so"

Gongaware testified that he didn't pay attention to the tour budgets that he approved, even though he was the tour manager.Paul Gongaware said he didn't read through the budgets, instead trusting that the tour accountant knew what he was talking about.
Gongaware testified that Dr. Murray's salary, although included in the company's budget for several months, wasn't something he saw as an actual payment that would be made.

"If there's a potential for cost we put it in our budget so there are no surprises later", he said.

Gongaware often pleaded poor memory of events. He said he may have met with Jackson as many as 10 times, but could remember only two of the meetings and only one when Murray was present
Gongaware said he doesn't remember how many meetings he attended at Carolwood house. He didn't recall a meeting where a vase was broken.

"There was a meeting where he signed the contract," Gongaware recalled, saying there were more but he doesn't remember specifics.

At the meeting in early June, Gongaware said he was present along with Kenny, Randy, Frank DiLeo, Dr. Murray and Michael.

"The meeting was about making sure Michael and Dr. Murray had everything they needed to care for Michael," Gongaware explained

"Yes, we did talk about health-related issues. It was more a general meeting about what Dr. Murray would need", Gongaware said.

He had told the police the topic of the meeting was Jackson's overall health ( i.e., diet, stamina and his weight)
He remembered that Jackson arrived late from a doctor's appointment and had slurred speech. Gongaware said Michael Jackson "was a bit off".

"He was just coming back from visiting Dr. Klein. I believe he was under the influence of something. That was the only time I saw him like that", Gongaware said.

Jackson had missed a rehearsal and was thought to be dancing at home. However they discovered he was only watching video. Doctor Murray was receptive to their concerns and indicated he would take care of the situation

• This week we see PCE data come on Friday. Expectations in the market according to the bloomberg intelligence research that I was reading, is for it to come soft or in line. Analysts are not expecting it to come hot.
• Whilst some people argue that rates will have to stay higher for longer due to stickiness in inflation, I point to inflation swaps which have all fallen over the last 1 month. This for 1y, 2y, 3,y, 5y, 10y etc. Traders are still expecting inflation to come down this year, especially encouraged by the falling shelter inflation in the last report.
• A look at some positioning analysis then:
• Silver and gold pumped yesterday, silver in particular, due to the geopolitical escalations between Egypt and Israel, as well as Israel and the rest of the world in Rafah. We saw strong positioning before too.
• Today, both pullback, but positioning overall v bullish, traders are buying calls on Silver at 35C. Thats a sign that traders are expecting this to be short term vol before move higher.
• NVDA showing strong positioning, and is up in premarket on news that xAI will use NVDA chips in building thier supercomputer. This is brining other semiconductors with it. AMD has a bullish positioning too.
• Potential high volume Names to watch today from a catalyst perspective (you can see the catalysts below) are:
• DUOL, PYPL, RIOT, DKNG, SE, CRWD, ONON
• EURUSD, GBPUSD showing bullish positioning as both come to resistance at 1.09 and 1.28 respectively. Positioning suggests we can see a break above, but let’s see.
• Traders continue to favour tech, and big tech in particular as Mag7 skew makes a new yearly high. AAPL and NVDA up in premarket should be supportive of the market too.
• VIX is up in premarket but expect vol crush later in the day as usual, positioning on VIX is still very short.

• Came 0.1% MOM vs 0.2% expected. Last month, fell 0.4% MOM.
• This is slightly weaker than expected, but retail sales MOM have been very variable in Australia, ranging from -1% to 1%
• ECB 1 year inflation expectations come in line with forecast at 2.9%
• 3 year CPI expectations come 2.4%, less than expected.

• Fed Speakers today:

MARKETS: SPX, DJI, NDX more or less where they closed on Friday.

• SPX: closed Friday at 5303. Over Memorial Day, was trading flat, slightly higher to 5320, before dropping back to 5308. 5300 has been the support in premarket.
• NASDAQ: Closed Friday at 18,800. Over Memorial Day was flat. Pushed higher to 18900 before paring gains slightly back to 18,853
• DJI: Trading at 39k. Flat since Fridays close. 39k support, 40k resistance.
• GER40: After hitting 18,500 on Friday, it bounced. Moved higher to 18850 over yesterday, pared gains slightly.
• UK100: Slightly lwoer today, On Friday dropped to 8275. Yday dropped to 8200 before pushing higher. Today back at 8296. Positioning overall bullish.
• Silver: Pulling back today after push higher yesterday by 5%
• GOld: Lower, after being rejected off 2350. Had moved higher by almost 1% yesterday.
• In both cases, looks like pullback before move higher.
• Oil slightly higher - Opec meeting this week.

FX:

• EURUSD higher to 1.0885. Pushed up from 1.08 support on Friday. Will come to 1.09, and will be looking for break as has broken out of long term downtrend.
• GBPUSD higher towards 1.28, positioning bullish. 1.28 is resistance
• AUDUSD higher again. Retraced back to 0.66 support on Friday, before move higher again.
• Most of these moves have come on dollar weakening from 105 since Friday. - comes as Japan has been signalling more potential intervention and also some countries not using USD from imports.

MAG 7:

• AAPL - China iPhone shipments jump 52% in April. AAPL and resellers have bene cutting prices in China throughout 2024. Hence shipments have been jumping.
• AAPL - will unveil Ai tools for daily use at next month’s developers conference. Their “project grey matter” will integrate AI into safari, photos and notes. Custom AI generated emojis for example
• AMZN, NVDA - according to Business Insider, Amazon is facing challenges inc competing with NVDA’s dominant AI chips, experiencing low usage and compatibility problems.
• Internal documents apparently reveal Amazon’s AI chips, Tranium and Inferentia are lagging significantly behind NVDA’s GPU in adoption.
• AMZN trying to improve the chips

• SE - Indonesia antitrust agency says that Shopee, which is owned by SE, violated competition rules by directing customers to use certain delivery services. Shop stopped listing several delivery service providers, giving customers just 2 options.
• GME - higher after the company raised nearly 933M from sale of 45m shares. Proceeds used for general corporate purposes.
• With GameStop pumping, other MEME names like AMC, SPWR etc are up in sentiment.
• With NVDA pumping, we see other semiconductor names like QCOM, VRT, COHR, DELL run in sentiment.
• SBUX - discounts more of its popular coffee drinks in China

• DUOL - JMP Securities upgrades duo lingo to outperform with PT of 260. Big analyst upgrade. Technical pic looks supportive.

ANALYSIS:

• This week we see PCE data come on Friday. Expectations in the market according to the bloomberg intelligence research that I was reading, is for it to come soft or in line. Analysts are not expecting it to come hot.
• Whilst some people argue that rates will have to stay higher for longer due to stickiness in inflation, I point to inflation swaps which have all fallen over the last 1 month. This for 1y, 2y, 3,y, 5y, 10y etc. Traders are still expecting inflation to come down this year, especially encouraged by the falling shelter inflation in the last report.
• A look at some positioning analysis then:
• Silver and gold pumped yesterday, silver in particular, due to the geopolitical escalations between Egypt and Israel, as well as Israel and the rest of the world in Rafah. We saw strong positioning before too.
• Today, both pullback, but positioning overall v bullish, traders are buying calls on Silver at 35C. Thats a sign that traders are expecting this to be short term vol before move higher.
• NVDA showing strong positioning, and is up in premarket on news that xAI will use NVDA chips in building thier supercomputer. This is brining other semiconductors with it. AMD has a bullish positioning too.
• Potential high volume Names to watch today from a catalyst perspective (you can see the catalysts below) are:
• DUOL, PYPL, RIOT, DKNG, SE, CRWD, ONON
• EURUSD, GBPUSD showing bullish positioning as both come to resistance at 1.09 and 1.28 respectively. Positioning suggests we can see a break above, but let’s see.
• Traders continue to favour tech, and big tech in particular as Mag7 skew makes a new yearly high. AAPL and NVDA up in premarket should be supportive of the market too.
• VIX is up in premarket but expect vol crush later in the day as usual, positioning on VIX is still very short.

• Came 0.1% MOM vs 0.2% expected. Last month, fell 0.4% MOM.
• This is slightly weaker than expected, but retail sales MOM have been very variable in Australia, ranging from -1% to 1%
• ECB 1 year inflation expectations come in line with forecast at 2.9%
• 3 year CPI expectations come 2.4%, less than expected.
• GOOD.
• House Price Index/Case Shiller later
• Consumer Confidence nUmbers come out after market opens.

MARKETS: SPX, DJI, NDX more or less where they closed on Friday.

• SPX: closed Friday at 5303. Over Memorial Day, was trading flat, slightly higher to 5320, before dropping back to 5308. 5300 has been the support in premarket.
• NASDAQ: Closed Friday at 18,800. Over Memorial Day was flat. Pushed higher to 18900 before paring gains slightly back to 18,853
• DJI: Trading at 39k. Flat since Fridays close. 39k support, 40k resistance.
• GER40: After hitting 18,500 on Friday, it bounced. Moved higher to 18850 over yesterday, pared gains slightly.
• UK100: Slightly lwoer today, On Friday dropped to 8275. Yday dropped to 8200 before pushing higher. Today back at 8296. Positioning overall bullish.
• Silver: Pulling back today after push higher yesterday by 5%
• GOld: Lower, after being rejected off 2350. Had moved higher by almost 1% yesterday.
• In both cases, looks like pullback before move higher.
• Oil slightly higher - Opec meeting this week.

FX:

• EURUSD higher to 1.0885. Pushed up from 1.08 support on Friday. Will come to 1.09, and will be looking for break as has broken out of long term downtrend.
• GBPUSD higher towards 1.28, positioning bullish. 1.28 is resistance
• AUDUSD higher again. Retraced back to 0.66 support on Friday, before move higher again.
• Most of these moves have come on dollar weakening from 105 since Friday. - comes as Japan has been signalling more potential intervention and also some countries not using USD from imports.

MAG 7:

• AAPL - China iPhone shipments jump 52% in April. AAPL and resellers have bene cutting prices in China throughout 2024. Hence shipments have been jumping.
• AAPL - will unveil Ai tools for daily use at next month’s developers conference. Their “project grey matter” will integrate AI into safari, photos and notes. Custom AI generated emojis for example
• AMZN, NVDA - according to Business Insider, Amazon is facing challenges inc competing with NVDA’s dominant AI chips, experiencing low usage and compatibility problems.
• Internal documents apparently reveal Amazon’s AI chips, Tranium and Inferentia are lagging significantly behind NVDA’s GPU in adoption.
• AMZN trying to improve the chips

• This week we see PCE data come on Friday. Expectations in the market according to the bloomberg intelligence research that I was reading, is for it to come soft or in line. Analysts are not expecting it to come hot.
• Whilst some people argue that rates will have to stay higher for longer due to stickiness in inflation, I point to inflation swaps which have all fallen over the last 1 month. This for 1y, 2y, 3,y, 5y, 10y etc. Traders are still expecting inflation to come down this year, especially encouraged by the falling shelter inflation in the last report.
• A look at some positioning analysis then:
• Silver and gold pumped yesterday, silver in particular, due to the geopolitical escalations between Egypt and Israel, as well as Israel and the rest of the world in Rafah. We saw strong positioning before too.
• Today, both pullback, but positioning overall v bullish, traders are buying calls on Silver at 35C. Thats a sign that traders are expecting this to be short term vol before move higher.
• NVDA showing strong positioning, and is up in premarket on news that xAI will use NVDA chips in building thier supercomputer. This is brining other semiconductors with it. AMD has a bullish positioning too.
• Potential high volume Names to watch today from a catalyst perspective (you can see the catalysts below) are:
• DUOL, PYPL, RIOT, DKNG, SE, CRWD, ONON
• EURUSD, GBPUSD showing bullish positioning as both come to resistance at 1.09 and 1.28 respectively. Positioning suggests we can see a break above, but let’s see.
• Traders continue to favour tech, and big tech in particular as Mag7 skew makes a new yearly high. AAPL and NVDA up in premarket should be supportive of the market too.
• VIX is up in premarket but expect vol crush later in the day as usual, positioning on VIX is still very short.

• AUSTRALIAN RETAIL SALES:
• Came 0.1% MOM vs 0.2% expected. Last month, fell 0.4% MOM.
• This is slightly weaker than expected, but retail sales MOM have been very variable in Australia, ranging from -1% to 1%
• ECB 1 year inflation expectations come in line with forecast at 2.9%
• 3 year CPI expectations come 2.4%, less than expected.
• GOOD.
• House Price Index/Case Shiller later
• Consumer Confidence nUmbers come out after market opens.
• Fed Speakers today:
• Mester, Kashkari, Cook, Daly

MARKETS: SPX, DJI, NDX more or less where they closed on Friday.

• SPX: closed Friday at 5303. Over Memorial Day, was trading flat, slightly higher to 5320, before dropping back to 5308. 5300 has been the support in premarket.
• NASDAQ: Closed Friday at 18,800. Over Memorial Day was flat. Pushed higher to 18900 before paring gains slightly back to 18,853
• DJI: Trading at 39k. Flat since Fridays close. 39k support, 40k resistance.
• GER40: After hitting 18,500 on Friday, it bounced. Moved higher to 18850 over yesterday, pared gains slightly.
• UK100: Slightly lwoer today, On Friday dropped to 8275. Yday dropped to 8200 before pushing higher. Today back at 8296. Positioning overall bullish.
• Silver: Pulling back today after push higher yesterday by 5%
• GOld: Lower, after being rejected off 2350. Had moved higher by almost 1% yesterday.
• In both cases, looks like pullback before move higher.
• Oil slightly higher - Opec meeting this week.

FX:

• EURUSD higher to 1.0885. Pushed up from 1.08 support on Friday. Will come to 1.09, and will be looking for break as has broken out of long term downtrend.
• GBPUSD higher towards 1.28, positioning bullish. 1.28 is resistance
• AUDUSD higher again. Retraced back to 0.66 support on Friday, before move higher again.
• Most of these moves have come on dollar weakening from 105 since Friday. - comes as Japan has been signalling more potential intervention and also some countries not using USD from imports.

MAG 7:

• AAPL - China iPhone shipments jump 52% in April. AAPL and resellers have bene cutting prices in China throughout 2024. Hence shipments have been jumping.
• AAPL - will unveil Ai tools for daily use at next month’s developers conference. Their “project grey matter” will integrate AI into safari, photos and notes. Custom AI generated emojis for example
• AMZN, NVDA - according to Business Insider, Amazon is facing challenges inc competing with NVDA’s dominant AI chips, experiencing low usage and compatibility problems.
• Internal documents apparently reveal Amazon’s AI chips, Tranium and Inferentia are lagging significantly behind NVDA’s GPU in adoption.
• AMZN trying to improve the chips
• Apparently evne some internal Amazon AI projects are using NVDA GPUs rather than AWS homegrown chips.
• AMZN - in talks to invest Billions into Italian cloud expansion.
• TSLA - secures $150M+ megabuck contract for Australia’s first 8 hour battery. Will supply megabuck battery for 50MW, 400MW limondale project in SW NSW Australia.
• DESPITE THIS, TSLA LOWER AS GLASS LEWIS URGES SHAREHOLDERS TO REJECT Elon Musk PAY PACKAGE.
• NVDA - Bank of America shows that 68% of funds own NVDA in their holdings and over 50% of all funds are overweight on the firm.
• NVDA pumping 3% in premarket. Musk’s XAI wants to use H100 chips as part of their supercomputer.

OTHER COMPANIES:

• Crypto names lower as BTC loses its gains from yesterday.
• DKNG - Illinois Senate approves a budget that includes a progressive tax hike on sports betting operators. 40% tax rate, which will triple current tax. Not good for DKNG operations in Illionis
• SE - Indonesia antitrust agency says that Shopee, which is owned by SE, violated competition rules by directing customers to use certain delivery services. Shop stopped listing several delivery service providers, giving customers just 2 options.
• GME - higher after the company raised nearly 933M from sale of 45m shares. Proceeds used for general corporate purposes.
• With GameStop pumping, other MEME names like AMC, SPWR etc are up in sentiment.
• With NVDA pumping, we see other semiconductor names like QCOM, VRT, COHR, DELL run in sentiment.
• SBUX - discounts more of its popular coffee drinks in China
• ZS - down as Rosenblatt downgrades ahead of earnings.
• DUOL - JMP Securities upgrades duo lingo to outperform with PT of 260. Big analyst upgrade. Technical pic looks supportive.
• CRWD - Reiterated buy rating on CRWD, raised price target to 422 from 372. Believes they will surpass $5B in annual recurring revenue by Calendar year 2025.
• PAAS up as silver pumped yesterday.
• Solar names are higher again.
• GLOB - Raised to buy at UBS, price target 230. Current price 170.
• ABNB - raised to buy at WEdbush, price target 165 from 160.
• TTWO - rumours suggest 2K games secured official FIFA license. New game is expected to launch as FIFA.
• BA - wins 7.5B$ US airforce contract.
• PYPL - planning an ad business, hires Uber advertising chief, says WSJ
• ORCL - XAI founder Musk says the company is planning to build a supercomputer. Says that they will work with ORACLE probably. Want it up and running in 2nd half of 2025, says it will be 4 times stronger than largest GPU cluster.
• RIOT - will be looking at takeover of rival bitcoin miner, Bitfarms.
• RIVN - slashes prices on 2023 and 2024 R1T and R1S models in North America. A number of add ons to cars are now significantly cheaper than before.
• NCLH - Mizuho upgrades Norwegian Cruise Line to Buy from Neutral and raised Price target to 24 from 21.
• LLY - investing $5.3B to expand manufacturing of Zepbound and Mounjaro.
• BABA - Gets David Beckham as ambassador for AliExpress.
• MRK - announces Positive Phase 3 keynote 522 trial results. Trials met their overall desired end point.
• HES - Hess shareholders to vote on proposed $53B sale to Chevron
• MU - Is planning new DRAM chip factory in Hiroshima.
• TMUS - to buy Usecullar’s wireless OPs, 30% spectrum assets
• Nio - maintained at neutral by Bank of America, price target 5.90. FAW and Nio will collaborate in battery swapping.
• ONON - raised to buy from Hold by Truist Securities.

• BTC was higher yesterday to 70.5k, now lower to 68.2k. Fell to 67.5k.
• CHINA PROPERTY STOCKS DID WELL, RISING 1.9% ON SHANGHAI’s EASING MEASURES.
• Neel Kashkari says that nothing should be ruled out regarding policy path. Says there’s no need to hurry to cut rates. Wants to see many more months of good data.
• MESTER: gave no commentary on interest rates or economy.
• UBS lifts S&P 500 year end target to highest on Wall Street, at 5600.
• Trmup says he will ensure crypto history is made in US. Says he wants the legacy of BTC to be made in US not overseas. Hence crypto was higher on weekend.
• India and China have eliminated US dollar for imports, and opt for local currencies where trading partners allow it. Maldives, for example, confirms local currency payment arrangement.
• China has launched a $47.5B fund to boost their chip industry, amid rising tensions with US. This fund is China’s largest ever semiconductor investment initiative. Focuses on equipment for chip manufacturing.
• WMT CEO on how consumers are doing - “But I continue to be cautious about the balance of the year because we're in far from predictable times”. They are more selective in what they buy. More wallet is going towards food vs general merchandise.
• Musk’s xAI raises $6B in bid to challenge Open Ai.
• ECBs Lane: Keeping rates overly restrictive for too long could push inflation below target over medium term. This requires corrective action that could require having to descend to below neutral.
• Says rate cut next week is not a sign of victory.
• Whatever happens in 2024, further disinflation can be expected in 2025.
• ECB’s Villeory: June rate cut is a done deal.
• ECBs Rehn refused to commit to any rate path.
• RBC says that S&P 500 could dip below 5000 if high inflation persists. Says their base case is for 5100-5300. This report is basically useless and tells us nothing lol
• Norway recognises the state of Palestine - says the recognition is ad distinctive milestone. Spain also recognises Palestine. Israel not happy about this.

• Israeli tanks reach Rafah city centre.
• US is trying to work out if Israel violated Red Line with their weekend Rafah strike. Even Netanyahu calls the Rafah airstrike a tragic mistake. But this could be because they are facing big backlash now from France, US etc
• Opposition is allegedly discussing ousting Netanyahu. Considering creating a new alternative government.
• ISRAELI AND EGYPTIAN FORCES EXCHANGE FIRE NEAR RAFAH, EGYPTIAN SOLDIER KILLED. This is the big geopolitical escalation over Weeknd. Hence Gold and silver prices performed well yesterday. IDF made contract with Egyptian officials to cease fire.
• UK CBI (private data survey) says that May retail sales strongest in 8 months.
• Suzuki, Japan finance minister, reinforces that will take whatever steps necessary on FX as required.

Mr. Patrick stood in his office, gazing out at the magnificent cityscape below.
The towering skyscrapers and bustling streets stretched out as far as the eye could see.
On the surface, he appeared calm and collected, but inside, his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts about the future of his textbook publishing company.
Suddenly, the door to his office swung open.
His COO, Mr. Daniel, walked in, accompanied by two impeccably dressed individuals—one male and one female.
Mr. Patrick turned from the window and greeted them with a warm smile.
"Good morning," he said, moving to take his seat at the large mahogany desk that dominated the room.
The others followed suit, seating themselves on the opposite side of the table.
"Good morning, Mr. Patrick," Mr. Daniel began, his tone brisk and businesslike. "I would like to introduce you to the leaders of the teams who have developed the best ideas on how our company should move on from hard copy textbooks due to the decline in sales. This is Mr. Johnson and Ms. Smith."
"It's a pleasure to meet you both," said Mr. Patrick as he directed his gaze towards the two newcomers.
The two smiled in return with a mixture of excitement and nerves evident in their eyes.
"Let's hear what you've got, Ms. Smith you go first," Mr. Patrick said, leaning back in his chair.
"Our project involves developing a tailor-made AI software that allows students to learn and interact with it on various topics. While similar technologies are already in development, our AI will be specifically tailored to each subject, featuring rich graphics and interactive elements to enhance comprehension."
"This AI software will generate recurring revenue through a subscription model. Additionally, it will create a competitive moat by storing individual students' data and continuously improving its teaching methods for each student over time."
Mr. Patrick leaned forward. "This sounds promising. How far along are you in developing the software?"
"We've created a prototype within the constraints of our current budget. With adequate funding, we are confident we can achieve much more."
Mr. Patrick nodded thoughtfully before turning to Mr. Johnson. "What are your thoughts on this?"
"While the idea is solid, there are already many companies developing similar software. And it seeks to replace the teaching profession which is one of the biggest employer in the country."
Ms. Smith shot him a look of disapproval, while Mr. Daniel's expression remained stoic, betraying no emotion.
Mr. Patrick smirked. "Okay, Mr. Johnson, let's hear your plan."
He cleared his throat. "Our team believes the best way forward is to create a voice command and lip movement operated device to help students practice what they learn more efficiently. Voice commands or lip movement can be executed 21 times faster than writing. As the saying goes, 'practice makes perfect.' If students can practice faster, they can achieve mastery more quickly, making it easier for them to understand and perfect the subjects they are taught."
"That's an impressive concept, Mr. Johnson. What do you think?" said Mr. Patrick as he switched his gaze to Ms. Smith.
She took a moment before responding.
"It's an ambitious idea. However, developing such a device is incredibly complex. It requires an extensive amount of data to accurately interpret voice commands and lip movements. There's a reason why most companies haven't ventured down this path—it’s technically challenging and resource-intensive."
"How far along are you in developing this product?" asked Mr. Patrick.
"We have a working prototype that handles multiple-choice questions, math problems, and fill-in-the-blank questions. With a larger budget, we could expand our product to encompass a broader range of questions and subject areas."
Mr. Patrick nodded. He then exchanged glances with Mr. Daniel before excusing themselves and walking over to the glass panes overlooking the city.
The view was breathtaking, but their minds were focused on the crucial decision at hand.
"Which of these can generate more profit?" asked Mr. Patrick.
"The voice command and lip movement device could be more profitable since we can sell both the hardware and the software subscription." He paused, then added, "However, Ms. Smith's AI software can be developed faster, while the device will take more time to perfect."
Mr. Patrick nodded and kept quiet for a few seconds. "We'll go with the voice command and lip movement device. It has the potential to significantly boost our business in the long run."
They then returned to the table, where Mr. Johnson and Ms. Smith waited expectantly.
"We've made our decision," Mr. Patrick announced. "We'll proceed with the development of the voice command and lip movement device. It may take longer to develop, but its dual revenue streams from hardware and software make it a more lucrative investment for our company's future."
Mr. Johnson's face lit up with a smile, while Ms. Smith nodded, accepting the decision with professional grace.
Outside the office, Ms. Smith walked away, turned a corner, and disappeared from sight.
Mr. Johnson turned to Mr. Daniel with a grateful smile. "Thanks for making the correct decision. This will help humanity."
Mr. Daniel chuckled. "We chose it for the profits. Humanity wasn’t part of the discussion."
"But it will help humanity too," Mr. Johnson insisted. "Students worldwide wouldn’t struggle with STEM subjects and could easily practice the questions for the topics they learn."
"The system is broken. If you really want to change the world for the better, you need to think about changing the whole societal model."
"Why do you say the system is broken?"
"Even if the device helps students learn faster, it will produce countless graduates who won't find employment. So it will still be a disaster."
Mr. Johnson looked shocked.
Mr. Daniel handed him a card and said, "Check these people out. They're working on a new societal model. And if you want to survive in this business, keep your thoughts to yourself."
Mr. Johnson nodded, inspecting the card written 'MAMA WORLD', as Mr. Daniel walked away.
