My second day I go to tell my trainer, who said she'd been there since opening day, "Steritech is here!" "Who?" "Steritech" "Who is that?"
Steritech shut down the desert cooler at 47° (closed overnight). Did we waste anything? Nope!!! (I know it's "probably fine" but that's absolutely not good practice)
First day, I had to ask where the handwashing station was as they directed me straight into work, and had to move stuff to get to it. Haven't once seen a coworker wash their hands since, though I still do, diligently. The dispensers are refillable type and are visibly caked with old, I mean OLD soap inside, half are broken and the ones that aren't physically broken are so caked with soap they barely dispense anymore.
Labeling is non-existent in my area. I've labeled sani buckets myself when I make them- and I'm the only one I've seen make any.
Gloves are kept in a locked closet such that if you run out, you either pilfer another dept or hunt down a manager, use their keys, return their keys....
I'm three days, I haven't once had a manager stop in to see how I'm doing. I'm really not sure who my immediate supervisor is, and the different "trainers" have given me three different sets of instructions.
I started Monday and so I'm willing to give some leeway, but when I started the entire department was so gross and caked in unwiped food that I struggled to train at all because I was losing my mind over the conditions and what customers could see.
Oh and I'm on a final warning for making the company look bad, because I used common profanity in an adjacent business while being identifiably employed by them.
If I wasn't down to literally only a hundred bucks in the bank I would be back out looking for something less "we pay off the health inspector."

Reminded by the other post about the dish soap, I can’t stand my dishwasher anymore. All my dishes smell and taste like soap. I’m throwing out plastic and silicone dishes left and right because I can’t get the scent out. I’ve tried all the tricks they say to keep your dishes from having soap residue and nothing works. Can anybody recommend an unscented dishwashing detergent that doesn’t turn into a rock in the soap dispenser?

I (29F NT) am extremely neurotypical and emotionally/mentally/financially stable. I’ve been struggling with my fiancé (31M dx rx) for a long time, and could really use some tailored words of wisdom. Lurking this subreddit/community has been so incredibly validating and helpful as I navigate this overwhelming journey… 2 years into our relationship and I feel like I’m at my breaking point. I doubt whether he’s capable of changing fast enough, I’m not sure I want this for my life anymore. Things will only get harder as we age and kids are thrown in the mix…
The past year has been soul-crushing, I’m a shell of the person I used to be. I’ve self-isolated from friends, had depressive episodes (never had that before), gained an excessive amount of weight, am frequently paranoid and anxious (never had anxiety before). I just never have long-lasting peace, it has destroyed my mental health. Before all this, I was eager to get engaged/married while he was nervous and wanted to take it slow. Now things have flip-flopped: he proposed far earlier than I thought he would, and I’m hitting the breaks uncertain of our future when I’m supposed to be planning a wedding (I refuse to until I see long-term/consistent improvement from him).
I can say that thankfully, my fiancé is not on the extreme end of ADHD. He doesn’t struggle holding a job, he isn’t a slob, he doesn’t shut down sexually, etc. He was diagnosed with ADD (so inattentive ADHD) when he was 18, and has been taking Adderall since. He does not take as much as he is prescribed, which I’ve questioned and he brushed off. We have gotten into heated, and ridiculous, arguments since early-on in our relationship.
Fall last year I unintentionally stumbled upon the emotional dysregulation aspect of ADHD. I was watching reels on Facebook, and in one a woman started by saying “If your partner has ADHD, watch this.” I continued watching, and 5-10 seconds later she mentioned in passing how they have problems with emotional regulation. I was immediately floored and replayed the video to make sure I heard it correctly. I Googled it and, low and behold: there was article after article about this. I read bullet point after bullet point of the manifestations of ADHD, and I couldn’t believe how it described exactly what I had been dealing with for nearly a year and a half.
My entire life I thought ADHD just meant someone had more difficulty focusing or they were hyperactive. This is what most of [uninformed] society thinks, and also what my fiancé himself thought. Over a 12+ year period since being diagnosed, not a single doctor or psychiatrist ever once mentioned the emotional dysregulation aspect of ADHD to my fiancé. He had no idea! Previously, I had chalked up our problems to political differences and that for his entire 20s he was always around (and dated) people very different from me. So I thought he just had trouble adjusting away from judgmental worldviews he had adopted while being surrounded by like-minded people for so long.
The discovery of emotional dysregulation and RSD was ground-breaking for us. He had been starting to think I was the problem since he “didn’t have these problems in my previous relationships.” Well that’s because he always dated less-mentally-stable people (his most recent girlfriend was diagnosed bipolar), so by comparison he was always the more stable one in the relationship and the magnifying glass was pointed away from him. Making the link between our problems and his ADHD made it tangible in a way that he could understand, which provided a foundation for his growth and improvements to begin (alongside therapy). But it’s very difficult for a 30+ year old man with a brain disorder to unlearn bad habits he was fully unaware of & learn how to retrain his brain to process information in a healthy way…
My fiancé has externalized RSD - he becomes highly reactive and verbally aggressive. He is hypersensitive, his brain distorts reality and interprets innocuous questions/statements like “did you put water in the soap dispenser” or “that’s a lot of cereal” as personal attacks. He also has a very big problem not respecting certain differences in opinion we have, or not respecting my choice to not eat/do certain things - he will push and push and push and push, will not stop pushing even after I calmly & nicely asked him to stop dozens of times after dozens of arguments, will not stop even after I’m sobbing begging him to please stop with tears streaming down my face. What are these explosive arguments about? The most mundane, inconsequential things. I wish this was made-up: HOV lanes, me not wanting to eat salad, me not wanting to eat warm guac, me not wanting to eat mustard, me not wanting to try Adderall or coke, me having a different view/opinion on how we should heat up a frozen pizza, me not wanting to eat mushrooms because they make me sick, etc etc.
Every single time we have an explosive argument, he pushes and pushes and pushes. When I reiterate, for the 100th time, that I have autonomy over my own body and don’t need to do anything I don’t want to do, he tries to manipulate me by flipping the script and parroting words/phrases I’ve used in previous discussions (like saying I’m being “disrespectful” and “dismissive” of his feelings/opinions because I won’t do what he wants me to do). Only once he calms down does he realize how badly he effed-up, profusely apologizes, and promises to never do it again and that he’s capable of being better… But then he just does it again and again and again and again and again and AGAIN.
He tries to play the victim and come off as reasonable by saying that he’s just “trying to understand” me by asking questions. I told him that is a cop-out because after I’ve explained how I feel, he ignores it since it doesn’t make sense to him & doesn’t line up with what he thinks/believes, and instead he continues pushing/pressuring me.
More recently he also claims that he isn’t trying to pressure me to do anything TO MYSELF, he’s just sharing his own experiences and thoughts with me so I can understand him better. When you repetitively “share your experiences/thoughts” on XYZ after I made it clear dozens of times that I don’t want to do XYZ and to please stop pressuring me to, even if you don’t explicitly state “You should try XYZ,” you are still INDIRECTLY pushing/pressuring me.
I. am. SO TIRED. Resentment has been growing, I’m paranoid and anxious, I don’t trust him (because he has repeatedly lied to me), his substance use (alcohol and weed) has become less and less attractive. He claimed a long time ago that I’m obsessed with being right, but he’s just projecting - he’s the one obsessed with “being right.” While he loves how I do all the paperwork-related “adult” part of life, he gets really annoyed that I’m almost always ‘right’ about things while he is not - so he takes it out on me.
Things have gotten to the point of reactive abuse, which I warned him about a few months into our relationship (at the time I didn’t know the term, just the concept). I’m having such a hard time making my mind up on where to go from here. When things are good, they are so good. He is a genuine person and a good man, we have SO much love for each other. We share many laughs and have built a life together. But… his brain is plagued with a disorder (that he was not fully informed on & did not begin attempting to manage until 6 months ago) that breaks me down.
While he has improved since the ADHD link was discovered and he started therapy, he continues slipping up and defaulting back to his regular BS. I don’t think I can take it anymore. I don’t want to waste more years of my life, or end up trapped in a marriage because of kids… I’m afraid that’s what it will come to, and I’ll be forever mad at myself for sticking around despite the red flags and what I knew about his condition.
BUT… What if it’s possible for him to improve and stop hurting me? Maybe he needs different medication? Maybe there are other communication approaches we can try? Maybe there’s a better kind of ADHD-specific therapy out there (I don’t think his/our current therapist is helping much)?
I know that he has a long way to go, and that I need to focus on healing. What are methods that have worked for you? Is there a better way I can go about looking for a therapist that specializes in adult ADHD & who truly understands it and can help? My fiancé acknowledges and understands that he has a problem, I can see that he is genuinely trying to improve - he wants to be a better person for himself and also be the partner I deserve. He is struggling to make it happen, he wants it SO badly - he doesn’t want to lose me or the life we have together. I just don’t know how much more of this I can take… Please, any advice & support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read.

Retail customers are the most delusional people on the planet. I work in fast food, the majority of the employees here are under 25-30. Last month the soap dispenser in the bathroom broke. Some guy says he needs to wash his hands. I say "well you can use the actual liquid pack but the dispenser is broken you won't get foam". He starts arguing so my manager just says fuck it and runs up the street to get some soap. He's arguing with me about the workers being able to wash their hands before touching things, saying it's an OSHA violation (We have like 3 other sinks with soap). I tell him that my manager is getting soap and he says "So I have to wait for soap?" ...Yes?? I can't??? Summon it out of thin air???? I'm a 17 year old girl standing in the men's bathroom with you please just let me leave and keep working. Please tell me everyone else gets these kinds of customers at work or I might explode.

So my washer / dryer combo smells basically like dirty socks now. That's the best description of the smell I can think of. I'm assuming it's mold or something similar built up inside.
I've read a bunch about cleaning washers on reddit, usually with vinegar and/or oxyclean.
The thing about the 2 in 1 is that it uses something called "load and go". Meaning you load up the soap dispenser with a ton of soap, and each load it uses a tiny bit of it to wash. Then you refill it every once in a while.
So I'm assuming if I put vinegar in there, it will only dispense a tiny bit because it's a high efficiency machine.
If I pour vinegar directly into the tub will it just drain right away or will it actually have an effect? I did try this with oxyclean and I'd say it helped a tiny bit, but not much.
I always leave the door open for it to dry properly. I haven't cleaned the lint / water drain at the bottom for a while, but that hasn't caused issues before. I will clean it tomorrow but I doubt if it'll help.
Also, the smell only really happens after drying. If I only wash stuff it comes out smelling ok. If I wash stuff and then dry it, it comes out smelling like dirty socks. Ironically my dirty socks smell worse after washing than before.
Any advice for this?

We all know a big part of what did the original Bed Bath & Beyond in, post-covid, was the private label brands and lack of national brands.
But the Private Label Brands weren't all bad, right?
For those of us who worked there toward the end, I'm interested in your opinions.
Is there a private label brand you truly liked? If so, what was it and why?
I'll go first: I still use my Studio 3B towels I got on 50% off clearance, my Studio 3B electric soap dispenser, and a Studio 3B jersey knit (Pure Beech knockoff) comforter. So for me, it's Studio 3B.
Anyone else?

I just purchased a Nori faucet with soap dispenser ( 87066SRS) and to my surprise and disappointment both the soap dispenser and the pullout shower bits are made of plastic.
I guess considering the price of this model vs other moens I shouldn't be surprised, but still, those are the parts that will be very heavily manipulated.
How well do they last when made of plastic?
Are all Moen soap dispensers and pulldown shower heads made of plastic, or are there some made of metal?
And how can I know which are made of metal and which are plastic?

My plan is to put the liquid ass fart spray in the soap dispensers, but I want to know any flaws in my plan. Will the soap cancel the smell? I will be wearing rubber gloves, (2 pairs) so I don't smell and so they don't get my fingerprints. I will have a bag for the empty bottle, and I will throw everything away at different locations. I will do it in the stall so no one can hear me. Any ideas? It is my senior prank

I'm a Pharmacist and I own a drugstore. It's located near the entrance of our gated community, so it's the closest pharmacy and general merchandise (like milk, diapers, soaps, cosmetics, etc) in our community. I have 3 PA (Pharmacy Assistants) who work with me, and all of them are older than me so even though I own the Pharmacy our relationship is more like co-workers and friends. They help in dispensing over-the-counter meds and other things. They all have certifications and took seminars in dispensing medicine so I'm very confident in their basic knowledge when it comes to handling non-prescription meds.
And with all that rambling aside let's get to the juicy part.
So our work process was, that they would be in front, assisting customers and whatnot while I was at my desk working on all the things needed for the store like payroll, ordering stocks, contacts, and other boring document shizz. If a customer with a prescription comes or if they are not sure about something, they would bring the prescription to my desk and I will instruct them on what to do.
This particular day though, we all didn't know what in heavens happened but it was like the whole gated community thought that there was a party in our store and decided to come at the same time. So, I pitched in and helped handle some of the customers.
I was attending to one customer when I noticed that my PA seemed to have been talking to the same teenager for a hot minute, so I zoned into their convo as I was still assisting other customers.
PA: Is it for a child?
Teen: No. It's for my older sister. (The girl's voice was a bit hesitant)
PA: How old is she?
Teen: Uhmmm. I don't know, maybe 23?
PA: Are you sure? Maybe it's best if you ask your mom to come with you.

An hour after our lunch, a motorcycle parked in front of our establishment, and an angry woman came stomping in with a familiar teenager following her. During this time there were still customers but she just walked passed all of them. (Everything in our store is behind the counter, there is just a small space between the counter and the door, so the customers will have to wait in line even if they are getting things that are not medicines.)
Some of the other customers complained but she went straight to the counter just hissing at anyone who called her out.
"WHO GAVE THIS SHIT TO MY DAUGHTER!?" She screamed like a banshee in front of the counter. (I was back on my desk at this point.)
My PA went to her and this is how the conversation went.
PA: That would be me. Is there a problem?

27 Shaw
Address: 27 Shaw Blvd, San Antonio, PasigOf the two spas mentioned in the title, I first visited 27 Shaw. This was only the second time I visited a spa like this, I availed the Explorer service which was their sensual massage package. Price was 1300, card POS was temporarily unavailable.
The Facility
They give you 2 towels and a bathrobe initially, they come in two sizes, one standard bath towel and another that’s not a lot bigger than a face towel. They gave me 2 of the latter until I requested a larger one. Any additional towels incur a 50 pesos fee to be paid once you hand over your locker key fob in the counter. Better to leave one towel in the locker and use the other before the massage, as it will get wet, very wet. My green-ass self brought both inside and had to request 2 additional towels throughout my time there.I arrived a few hours before my massage to spend more time in the wet room. It was shortly after opening, so there were only single digits of us.
The wet room had a shower room, sauna, steam room, a hot pool, and a water dispenser with a never ending flow of clean cups.
There’s a hot pool, not as hot as the coolest hot pool in Ace Water Spa. It’s towels off, so if you’re shy bring a swim trunk, I’ve seen some do. There’s a section of the pool that’s directly underneath a sun well, so you get to view the sky as you lay down and just relax. People seemed to just chill around and chat in the pool, which was quite wholesome.
You’re advised to take a shower before dipping in the pool. The shower cubicle is quite large, enough to fit 9 people if you’re ever inclined to do so. The divider between cubicles is translucent glass, so if someone leans over with their hands you’ll clearly see the hands. The shampoo and body soap dispenser is unlabeled so you won’t know which is which. I never figured the difference and suspect they’re both body wash. It was here where I first heard signs of action, moaning and clapping in the next shower cubicle.
Besides that, the sauna was decent, decently lit, lovely smell of wood, nothing much to say about it, just remember to pour water on the rocks. Also the wood floor and benches creak a lot.
Then there’s the stram room. The steam room is separated into two sections. Before the actual steam room, there’s a very dimly lit section with 2 curtain-less showers. After that there’s a door that leads to the actual steam room. It’s a dark, foggy L shaped room with one single source of light, which is under a short bench. You will not be able to recognize people’s faces here at all, only their overall silhouettes.\
Pre Massage
Not much happened before my massage just chilling between the facilities. Around half an hour before it a guy gestured to me when we were alone in the steam room. He reached over my dick as he placed my hand on his. He seemed to have just come out of a massage as his skin was oily and his dick already rock hard. The massage area was on the second floor, the stairs situated just before the locker room when entering the place. There’s a powder room and lounge in this floor that I didn’t get to visit, maybe next time. The walls between each massage room don’t go up to the ceiling, so sound can very easily travel between rooms.I stripped down and waited for my therapist, who was a few minutes late. Can’t blame him, they only get at least 10 minutes break between sessions when the spa is fully booked. Eventually he arrived, we exchanged pleasantries, and he lightly explained the procedure he’s going to do. He asked if it was my first time, I think it’s their SOP as my neighboring cubicles were also asked the same question.
The massage itself was terrific. He quickly put pressure on my back, and after that hopped on my back and started dry humping me. Personally not a big fan of dry humps but that’s just me. He proceeded to do some rub my back and legs. I was walking the whole day from window shopping before so I didn’t realize how sore my heels were, which the massage gave me some relief. Post Massage
The massage ended, and I headed back downstairs. At this point the people inside the spa dramatically increased. I skipped the showers as there was a considerable line waiting for vacant cubicles. So I headed for the steam room to chill. Immediately after opening the door, I hear moaning. I maneuver through the room, lo and behold, 5 guys standing in the corner just having at it. Even more guys are just standing or sitting around them, either just watching or masturbating while they watch. The group soon broke off so I sat on an empty spot. I spotted 3 guys next to me rubbing each other’s junks. It was subtle but the movement was barely visible under the low light, their actions confirmed by their constant moaning and hissing. A nonspecific amount of days later, I found myself having a bunch of time to kill, and near Timog Quezon, the site of their newest spa. So I headed over, only availing their Sage package, which doesn’t have a massage and only has wet room access. I didn’t know specifically how many hours I had to kill so I deferred from getting an 80 minute massage.This spa was visibly bigger than the main spa. The locker room has a dedicated attendants room with all their tools inside. There’s bigger toilets, they’re even bigger than the gigantic shower cubicles, then there’s a dedicated urinal room with no doors; there’s a bigger sauna, bigger steam room, one cold pool and one huge hot pool, and an area called The Labyrinth with stone benches and showers scattered throughout this very dimly if at all lit area. The cold pool had a lovely waterfall like installment, it’s not as strong as the weakest water shower in Ace Water Spa, but it was still nice. The hot pool had sections and corners, and it was very brightly lit. And instead of a water dispenser, they had water fountains with no cup dispensers instead. The showers seemed to be installed incorrectly, as some showers were hot when turned to the right, while some to the left. The water was scalding hot too so it was not a mistake you could easily wave off.
The Experience
Not much happened here in terms of physical action. There were a lot more people here at the same hour compared to my visit to the main spa. Most of them seemed to know each other which was quite a wholesome sight.I had to head back to my phone multiple times due to the personal reason why I didn’t book a massage. I have an iPhone on the Globe network, and the signal in the locker room was abysmal, zero bars sometimes, which made me leave the area and head to the lounge for some stable internet.
Speaking of the lounge, I visited the lounge this time, and they served complementary tea, water, and cookies. It was a large, nicely furnished room on the second floor with a balcony outside that has a stone garden overlooking the street outside. There’s a steel mesh thing installed as the facade of the building so cars downstairs wouldn’t really be able to see clearly inside. Some people just sit and chill inside, while I saw one person who seems to do some work on a laptop in his bathrobes. Gotta respect the hustle.
The new spa is still not technically fully opened, some services are not yet offered and some facilities with those services still sitting idle.
In the end I liked the facilities of T by 27 Shaw better, it felt like it had more thought put into it thanks to learning from the lessons of the main spa, wrong shower installation aside. I’ve heard that the masseurs of T by 27 Shaw all came from the main spa, so I’d expect the same kind of service 27 Shaw has. I’ll try to visit and book a massage next time.
