Soft start circuit

I'm loving the game so far. been playing for a few hours but um.... is the music supposed to change? the same 30ish second track has been playing for.... hours.... no matter if I'm in town, in the field, in a bandit fort... its the same like soft track. like its fine and all but its just been this for hours and I'm starting to go mad lol.

I was tested for it as a kid and it was pretty minor. It has gotten better since then for sure but it still affects me.
A few minutes ago I chipped the same tooth in the same spot for the fourth time in the same way. I was drinking something and accidentally hit my tooth while taking a drink. It happens a lot but sometimes it is hard enough to chip my tooth. Or maybe I just keep weakening the repair I don't know. My mom is going to be so mad. I'm 23 so I will be off her insurance soon so i'm gonna start bringing a soft silicone straw with me everywhere smh.
Does anyone else have similar issues with coordination?

I have recently converted my tank to run with a larger sump pump. I have had some corals growing for some time and now with the new sump they seem to be taking a step backwards. I did use a metal hose clamp to secure my return hose. It didn’t hit me until now but, is there a chance this is causing my corals to die?
Parameters seem to be checking out maybe a little high on the phosphate (0.07) nitrates in the .5 range, ph 8.3, dkh at 9, calcium at 390, ammonia 0. Lights have been consistent
My other thought is to rent a par meter to check and see if I am blowing out my soft corals with light, though they are on the sand bed.
Some of the corals seem to be really thriving where others have shriveled up and starting to die.

I had a deep cleaning with antibiotic put in my gums. Said it would be normal for some yellow to come out on the gumline. I've been looking to see if it's normal this one particular chunk is supposed to stay on for so long? I can't find anything other then the brand website saying it "does not fall out" and "dissolves." Its been 7 days since the cleaning and it's been about 5 days I've let it just.. hang off my gumline; this putrid yellow thing. Today it started hurting and I could feel it irritating the tissue around it... I had another chunk pop out today and it brushed right off same day, I've been gently brushing alot trying to avoid infection in general since its a sensitive time for my healing gums. This og chunk never came off. I got kind of sick of it and made a decision to pick it off. It left a concerning size hole as my gums were trying to accommodate this soft rock textured blob. It was very irritated and im concerned about the size of the hole its left. I've absolutely never seen anything like it and its definitely not a testament to how my gums were before. I'm pretty sure I did the right thing but I cant find anything saying this is even supposed to happen. I can't imagine it was supposed to come out at all? let alone the one that emerged (that had brushed off) was consistantly touching the back of my tounge/throat and was foul tasting and gritty. does anyone have an experience with this?

Or vulnerable or weak or sensitive or emotional or empathetic or motherly or mature etc etc.
I realised I really started to like animals. It's new. Till teenage I had no weakness or emotions towards animals. Now whenever I see a kitten I melt. I see too much cat vids. Started petting cats from last year.
I kinda like kids too now. I feel like protecting and guiding them. Never felt that before.
I now easily cry seeing, reading emotional things which never ever happened before. At first this weirded me out ngl. Couldn't understand what's happening. Thought it's one time emotionalness.
Now looking back, connecting dots I realise I changed when I fall in love in 2020. It opened a side of me I never knew existed. It made me more softer, cuter, vulnerable, emotional, motherly. Now it's over but the new gate didn't close. Love changed me.
I remember, as a child, having so much control over my emotions. I would never cry no matter how hurt I'm. Now I cry in a beat. I remember not feeling a thing about cute things in life(animals, flowers, babies, emotional movies.). Now I am so attracted to these things.
Maybe all the trauma I went through made me vulnerable(mostly opposite happens to traumatized people, they become emotional available from soft person).
I now get scared, emotional, stressed very easily. Always on the edge. My child self will thing I'm so pathetic lol. She was a bit sociopathic lmao. Now I feel others emotions way more intensely than childhood. More caring now. I used to be a lil ruthless. They say some of the empathy is learned.
Also I think me being close to 25, changing my brain and personality. A new layer is being added. And they say some women become more motherly as they age. I could feel that happening.
This change has it's good and bad side. I don't hate it though.

Hey everyone,
I'm in the market for new gloves for Muay Thai and could use some advice. After extensive research, I feel confident about what I'm looking for, but firsthand experiences would be invaluable.
I need gloves with a Velcro closure. I tried lace-ups with a Velcro converter today, and it was cumbersome given our frequent switch between holding pads and striking during circuits. Efficiency is key.
I'm seeking gloves that are exceptionally soft and pillowy. I throw a lot of jabs, and I want to avoid causing unnecessary damage to my sparring partner's nose. Protection is paramount, both for my hands and for my partners. I'm aiming for 16-ounce gloves that prioritize comfort.
I tried the Superare S50 Velcro gloves, and while they are incredibly soft, I have a significant gripe. I can't seem to make a proper fist, and it feels like I'm landing on my door-knocking knuckles every time. Any recommendations for a soft glove that allows for a better fist?
The Adidas Adispeed 501 seems promising, but I'm open to other suggestions. What gloves have you used that meet these criteria?

My sister went to live in a small town in the Pacific Northwest about a year ago. Contact with her ceased 10 hours after she had left town. Her phone would go straight to voicemail and I couldn’t file her as missing, as I hadn’t even gone there to make sure she was okay myself. But when I entered that small sleepy village, I didn’t think I was going to be leaving.
The fact is she hadn’t told me specifically what town, but modern technology prevails and before she moved she had forgotten to stop sharing her location with me. At least the location was active for the 10 hours after she had left our shared apartment. The location was a road coursing through the dense pine forests, and the closest town was only a few miles North. It was a start so after a few days of ruminating, worrying and telling myself that she’s fine, she’s an adult, she doesn’t need me to baby her anymore, I caved to the worry and packed my bags.
The long drive from our hometown of ***** in Idaho was adding to my stress, if only speed limits were not a thing. I drove into the town of ******** as night was falling and the dense forests around me began to feel as if they were closing in on me. The town was quiet, and to be honest I couldn’t see anyone. A few signs flashed on and off which presumably meant that despite the deserted streets, people were most likely dwelling inside the diners and bars that were sporadically placed.
I pulled into the diner which had the most cars parked in the lot, stepping out of my car and briskly walking to it as it begun raining. The smell of pancakes, cigarettes and coffee hit me as I walked inside the door, along with the warmth that flooded over my cold limbs. The customers sat in their plaid shirts, sipping on their beverages, and looked at me in somewhat disdain. Outsiders I guess. I sat on the corner booth, and the waitress came over to me; a much less disapproving expression on her face thankfully. I ordered a diet coke and a stack of pancakes as after that drive my belly was louder than the chatter in the place. Whispers now, as if I had walked in on some secret group meeting that fronted as a family diner.
I tried ringing my sister again, hoping that perhaps it may ring this time. But it didn’t. I ate my pancakes, as I felt eyes on me with each bite. Once I had finished, I paid and left them, hearing the chatter intensify as the door shut behind me. It was 9pm and I had pre-booked a BnB about five minutes up the road. It was a quaint little colonial, with inviting amber light emanating from inside. From the empty parking lot I assumed I was to be the only guest that night, and I pulled my suitcase from my trunk, dragging it across the gravel courtyard.
As I got to the top of the stairs I realised there was no BnB sign or anything really that indicated that it was a BnB. No vacancy sign, no usual indications of it being a professional establishment. I twisted the doorknob and entered the ‘lobby’ which seemed to lack a reception desk, and very much looked as if I had simply walked into somebodies home. Silence. At this point I was certain I had inputted the wrong address, and seeing as it was a small town the fact that the door was unlocked was not so out of the ordinary. I turned and left, dragging my relatively heavy suitcase down the porch steps and back to my car. Before I managed to open my trunk, an elderly woman's voice came from behind me.
“Why you leaving dear, come on inside. I have just baked a fresh batch of Snicker doodles.”
I turned to see the lady, who looked very much like a stereotypical grandmother with her coifed hair and flowery apron.
I followed her as she escorted me back through the front door. At this point I was ready to collapse on a soft bed, my eyes were sore and my fingers felt as if they were about to snap from the cold air outside.
“I will take you to your room after you’ve tried one of my snickerdoodles,” the lady said as she gestured for me to follow her to the kitchen.
“This is the ***** BnB Isn’t it?” I asked as I sat on one of the chairs around the little round table she had in the middle of the kitchen.
“Yes of course. Would you like milk with your cookies dear?”
I ate the complementary cookies as she watched each bite that went into my mouth, before she asked the question that ultimately would lead to the cascade of events that made me never, ever want to visit a small town ever again.
“Where’s your invitation?” she asked as she tapped her fingers against the table.
“Invitation?” I asked. “You mean my booking number?”
“No dear, your invitation to this town. No one comes here without one.”
“I don’t have one, I only have the booking number for this hotel.”
When I said this the woman’s homely demeanour soon changed. She looked irritated, angry, and went to the phone that was hanging on the wall.
“Who are you calling?”
She turned back to me with wide eyes, and as I swallowed it felt as if one of those delicious cookies was lodged in my throat.
“I don’t know about an invitation, I have my booking number, I paid for the room.”
The lady didn’t look back to me when I said this and stood with the phone against her ear.
“There is a young lady here without an invitation,” the woman said. “Yes, no invitation.”
The woman started tapping her foot on the floor as she grew impatient with whoever was on the other end of the phone. At this point I got up, and backed into the hallway where my suitcase was still sitting by the front door.
“She’s leaving! What do you want me to do! I cant run after her, I had a damn hip replacement!”
I at this point, as anyone would do, ran to the front door, and picked my suitcase up as I heard her yelling intelligible things at the phone.
I ran to my car, shoved the suitcase on the passenger seat, and reversed out of there, as my heart was nearly bursting through my ribcage.
I drove back the way the diner was, not knowing what I was going to do. I couldn’t just leave here, my sister was somewhere and if this was how the locals were, I sure as hell was going to find her and take her back home.
But at this point I had nowhere to sleep, and it wasn’t like I could just drive to the next town over, which was hours away. I was sure to have crashed the car in my state of panic and sheer exhaustion.
I composed myself as my shaky hands held onto the wheel, and decided that f it. I would have to drive to the nearest town, whatever was going on here, whether I was just paranoid or what, felt very off.
But as I came to the road that led out of town, I noticed the orange lights of a roadblock, warping in the rain that started to pelt down harder.
I stopped my car and got out to speak to the people standing in front of it, placing cones and signs.
“I need to leave, is there another way out?” I yelled through the almost deafening sound of the rain.
“No Miss. you’ll have to get a hotel tonight.”
“Why is it blocked?”
“Something on the road. There’s a BnB up the road.”
I ran back to my car, wiping the rain out of my eyes. What on earth was going on, and one way out? They had to be lying or something. I turned my phone on and of course because of the rain, and impending storm, no signal, no maps.
I did a U turn, the road had to come out somewhere else up north. The town could not just be a one way in, dead end out.
I drove past the BnB, up the main road as my wipers were struggling to keep up with the pouring rain.
And thats when I realised that the main road at least was one way in. The road stopped randomly, blocked by pines that lead into a forest. I didn’t want to stop there, to I turned down a road to the right, just praying please please please get me out of here, I’ll come back in the daylight but please tonight just get me out of here.
The road began to get bumpy. In the distance I could see lights and through the intermittent vision I had of the road, I could see a church. I parked and got out of the car, hoping that the church might offer me some sort of shelter. I ran through the rain as the wind worked against me. I rapped on the old wooden door, yelling for someone to open it, all while looking back at the black void behind my car from where I had come.
After a few minutes, I heard the clinking of a lock and stepped back. A friendly face of a woman peered through a gap and she looked up at me.
“How can I help. Its 10Pm.”
“I have nowhere to stay, and that BnB down the road was not very inviting.”
“Invitation Hm?”
“Yes, you know about that?”
The lady opened the door and gestured for me to enter. The wind howled through the church even when she had shut the door, and there was candles placed throughout.
“Is the woman ok in that BnB?” I asked the lady.
“The woman. Miss, you came to the wrong place, and I’m not sure what I can do to help you.”
“The wrong place?” I asked as I felt completely as if I was about to break down and cry from the fear of what on earth was going on.
“You can stay here, and I will help you however I can. But it’s me and a few of my friends against that town. I cant promise anything.”

I've been dating for so long that I don't know what's genuine anymore
I started dating a year after my ex and I broke up. I came from a long term relationship (almost 5 years) and when I started dating again, na culture shock ako of how people can be superficial because when I was in the dating scene back in 2018/2019, its different to the point that you can spot agad if the person is bullshit-ing you but now everyone seems to be a viper in sheeps clothing.
I thought that if you date or entertain soft bois/nice guys your life would be easier but all I got from these type of guys are manipulation, gaslighting and lovebombing. Have the tables have turned na ba or lahat na ng lalaki sa dating apps asshole na sa panahon ngayon?
I've been talking to this dude for weeks now and we click agad, he's communicative and well spoken but I've seen this film before... And I didn't like the ending. It's been like this with guys I dated before, they would act like they have the best intention but will manipulate and gaslight you along the way just so they can get whatever they want from you.
I am currently in the dillema if I should jump in and take the risk again or just pass because I am scared to be hurt again and I feel like the guys I dated before affected me so much how I see the people I am talking/dating now na I will always rethink and doubt them if they are genuine or just another manipulation tactic to make me believe that they're genuine.
This dude I am currently involved with seems genuine and I feel like he really likes me but again, I am being cautious because I don't want to be manipulated again and I thought to myself Is this really the dating scene nowadays? Is it really THAT hard to find a genuine connection? That I have to second guess every action of the person just to verify/validate if its genuine.

I got some of basically every safe-ish chew there is originally. Pigs ears, Bully Sticks, Bully Rings, bully braids (basically all the bully stuff), yak chews, those no-hide rice chews, retriever rolls, collagen sticks, all the stuff EXCEPT Beef Cheek Rolls because I couldn't find a flavored one that didn't contain chicken (which my dog can't have). Settled on Bully Sticks.
My Std Aussie is 6 months and some change old, and she is a huge chewer. I buy bully sticks in bulk, boxes of 100 so the price drops to around $2/stick, but I don't know if it's that some sticks are denser than others but sometimes she will munch down almost a whole stick in 15 minutes.
I got 3 different bully stick "holders" so I rotate them out when one gets "wet" as that's when they start to disintegrate, it worked to prolong their life by quite a bit.
But recently I got some Beef Cheek Rolls unflavored, figured "why not try it". Absolute game changer. This thing lasts forever and she barely "eats" any of it so there is not much math involved in adjusting her calories. It's really spongy and soft, seems safer than bully sticks even, and digestible (allegedly).
Highly recommend trying these things out. I didn't realize how good they would be, I got a pack of three 12in ones for $25 or so, and it's worked out to about $0.76 per chewing hour (she doesn't chew for an hour, it's just a metric) vs $3.42/hour for bulk bully sticks.
Worth it.
Any other good alternatives I am missing? (Besides antlers and that hard stuff that's more risky)

Hi folks! Tried searching online for similar situations but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.
Just moved into a new apartment (one unit in a very large building) and have been having trouble with being able to plug in electronics without the circuit breaker tripping. This started with me plugging in my PC in the living room. I figured the PC could theoretically have drawn too much power while turning on so next I tried just plugging in my monitor—after unplugging all the electronics in the apartment + turning off the AC units / all the lights. The only other thing running at this point should be the fridge. My 32” monitor also caused the breaker to trip, so then I tried a small air purifier and got the same results. Also repeated the experiment in a different room and got the same results as well.
Other things have worked fine—humidifier, router, water boiler, all while the lights, AC, and other things were simultaneously running. My understanding was that something like an air purifier (listed as 50 watts) shouldn’t be nearly enough to cause the breaker to trip. Is there a gap in my understanding?
Planning to reach out to my super about this issue as well, but just wanted to get some thoughts/opinions on what could be happening, or maybe ways to collect more data points. Thanks!

I'm playing around with recipes to make a product similar to soft serve in a traditional home ice cream maker.
Soft serve generally has lower fat, lower serving temps, and higher overrun than traditional hard pack ice cream. Lower fat and higher serving temps are easy enough to do, but home ice cream machines don't have options to increase overrun.
Has anyone tried either whipping their base in a blender to add air, or adding chilled whipped heavy cream to their base as it starts to freeze?

Ever since my partner (M 25) and I (F 25) have started dating, his parents have been disrespectful to both of us. My partner and I live apart from them but whenever we would visit, they will take that opportunity to give us interventions and have long serious talks with us about what they don’t like. Recently they flew here to attend my partner’s graduation ceremony and they were staying for 5 days. My partner and I had to completely clear our schedules for that week to spend time with them. Throughout the week, I was not only disrespected by his parents, my presence was basically not acknowledged. His mother would talk over me and only speak to his son even though I was right there in front of her. Especially meal times when she would go “What do you want to eat son, order whatever you want to eat.”. Or when we would go shopping, she would go up to my partner and say “Pick whatever you want, I’ll buy it for you.”. The worst part of it all is at the end of the day when we would part ways. She would hug her son and say goodbye and not say a word to me. Only when I say bye to her first, she would merely look back while walking away and utter softly “bye”. That’s not it. His parents are somewhat devoted Christians while I’m not religious. My partner is nowhere as devoted but still a Christian. His mom would take the opportunity to bring religion up whenever she could. In a condescending tone she would ask “So how many times did you visit the church?”. “So are you going to go?” This has always been a difficult and uncomfortable topic for me, even though I do go with my partner at times. His dad on the other hand, is no different. In front of me he would act all nice but as soon as it was the end of their 5-day trip here, he went guns blazing. I’ll start with the first morning they were here. His mom went to the bathroom when we were having breakfast and he suddenly said “Just a piece of advice, do not speak to my son separately. We should be able hear everything you say and talk about so we don’t feel left out.”. Immediately I’m thinking, “Oh so I can’t even converse with my own partner normally when we’re hanging out with you guys.”. Going back to the end of the 5-day trip, he would make use of the group chat that we created during the trip to start nitpicking things and saying what he didn’t like about me during the trip. “We are your elders. Respect begets respect.”. First of all, I have been nothing but respectful to them throughout the entire trip even though they treat me otherwise. Even after all that they have said to me and how much they’ve expressed their dislike and how much they intimidate me, I will still respect them because they are my partner’s parents after all. But both his parents texted and said that I did not respect them at all. And when my partner asked him to clarify on what specific occasion did she disrespect you, he replied “Her body language...”. Maybe he was relating to my body language in which I was feeling scared and intimidated the whole trip. But if not, I had no recollection of being disrespectful. And to top things off, he is currently asking my partner to pull up all of his bank statements and telling my partner to write down all expenses for him to dictate whether I have been “leeching” off of my partner. My partner and I have always been sharing our expenses equally. So this is what we are currently dealing with. Any advice on how to deal with toxic in-laws/parents? My partner and I are being pushed to our limits. Even his own mom told him “I do not respect you.”.

My current build is a heavy katana with double slash with the godslayer seal both +25, talismans are ritual sword, rotten winged, millicent's prosthesis, and the shard of alexander, buffs are electrify armament, golden vow, howl of shabriri in that order. Physick is Lightning Tear and Thorny Tear. I guess armor isn't that necessary to say but for elden bling I'm wearing the Iron Kasa, Veteran's Armor, Veteran's Gauntlents, and the Ronin Greaves.
The only alternative I can think of for this build is just going quality for the katana and leveling up more dex. But one thing that the electrify armament build that the quality katana doesn't is that it is more available for buffing. So that makes me wonder what build I should really go for, since I already have reached the soft cap for strength, quality can now start to get better than just heavy once I start to level up dex, but again, using electrify armament looks weak but when buffs stack, the electrify armament gets a huge boost in damage, and it would deal more damage in the rain. The only downside I can see here is the amount of buffing needed consuming more time and that split damage values aren't really that good (according to some ppl on reddit). So what build would you go for or just what would you change in my build to possibly make it better?

Synopsis:
Juliette Contzen is a lazy, good-for-nothing princess. Overshadowed by her siblings, she's left with little to do but nap, read … and occasionally cut the falling raindrops with her sword. Chapter 239: Standing Start
A wine bottle rolled against the side of my boot.
Amidst a gallery of stunned faces and open mouths, it was easily the second most lively thing here.
The first was a clockwork doll clutching at her stomach in pain.
“Ahahahha~ ahahaha~ ahah … uck … ack … ughh … ahahaha~”
I pursed my lips.
Still, I said nothing.
For one thing, this was precisely what happened when one ate the mouldy cinnamon rolls combined with any grass growing by the side of the road. If Apple refused to eat something, then so should she.
But for another–
“What … What is this … ?”
It was because the first response was reserved for the baroness.
Her words came out in a quivering tone, matching the disbelief upon her face.
Frankly, she had to do better than that.
Only the wine from the bottle I nudged away dribbled into the soil. And also the line of drool from a comatose farmer. But I didn’t want to think about that.
Still, it was an excellent benchmark. Until her tears could properly overpower the sour aroma from the Château de Riaré Hensoise, I would deem her bawling to be incomplete.
She had a long way to go.
“How … How are you still …” she began, slowly rising from her seat. “This … This is impossible–”
I offered a tidy smile alongside a flick of my hair, relishing in the moonlight adorning my figure.
“I agree. It shouldn’t be possible. But I assure you, my skin is 100% natural.”

She suddenly snapped towards Coppelia, her eyes widening.

Coppelia hugged her stomach, writhing like a freshly hatched caterpillar. Her eyes darkened as hiccups of laughter assailed her defeated form.
The baroness pursed her lips.
Then, she turned to Renise instead.

“A-Amazing! … I … I have no idea what you did … but it wasn’t just wonderful … it was beautiful! The colours! The warmth! It was like a rainbow come to life!”
With a smile worthy of any attendant, the maid brought her hands together in polite applause. Naturally, to be praised for my brushwork was nothing new to me. Nor was the sight of stars shining in her eyes with greater brightness than any in the night sky.

The baroness promptly slapped her palms down on the table.
“This man … is Willem of Hagel,” she said, her teeth gritted together. “A man desperate and cursed.”
“Yes, well, to be a peasant is a dire thing. But it could be worse. At least he isn’t nobility.”
A mouth further widened before me.
Indeed, this was a terrible time to realise her affliction. But I was no famed angel of healing for nothing. There was a cure for ambition. And it involved copious amounts of tears.
I was still waiting.
“There is no world in which you should have been able to defeat him … not if half the tales about him prove true … he is a famed opponent … all the while you are … you are …”

No longer feeling that my cheeks were in danger of being poked, she swept her eyes upon my person, as though hoping to find some blemish to signify I was as false as a field of corn.
She stopped at the sword by my side.

Suddenly, my 29th house of cards I was subtly constructing collapsed.

The blot on my finger! The insidious badge of shame! The symbol of the Adventurer’s Guild!
Why, I’d taken it for granted that my masterful disguise was impervious! But this was no ordinary noblewoman I was seated across!
This … This was one I’d previously sat across before!
I’d made a terrible mistake!
I was mesmerising! A beautiful princess as charming as I was modest!
There was utterly no scenario in which I’d be forgotten!
I … I should have removed the copper ring!
“O-Oho … ohoho … w-what copper ring?” I said, my hands vanishing below the table at a speed con artists could only nod at. “Ah, do you refer to the ruby inlaid ring I often carry on my hand? The one which changes colour depending on the longitude and latitude? In that case, you may very well have briefly spied something which resembled a copper hue. But it is in fact a thing of unparalleled beauty and craftsmanship. Not a disgraceful copper ring.”
The baroness slowly looked up at me, her eyes blinking.
“No. I wasn’t mistaken. I … I recognise that ring. It is a copper ring, the same size and shape as those worn by … adventurers.”
My mouth widened in horror.
At once, I immediately sought a plant pot or a heavy book. Something to immediately erase the past few seconds of her memory.
Why … if she knew my secret, then the shame would haunt me all the way until I’d found something weighing at least equivalent to a standard hardback!
“I see,” she mumbled, as much to herself as me. “I understand now …”
The baroness removed her palms from the table.
She stood up straight, a hard expression upon her face. One which calculated with each passing moment the optimal way to exploit this devastating information.
Then, she took in a deep breath–just as I began assembling the playing cards into a thick pile.
“… it must be a legendary artifact.”
As I began eyeing her temple … I blinked in non-understanding.
“Excuse me?”
She nodded, her frown harsh enough to permanently crease her skin.
“To wear such a plain, ugly and shameful ring … one which utterly demeans your history, your worth and your pride, destroying any semblance of dignity you possess–”
My hand went to my stomach, struck by as much pain as Coppelia had experienced in a single moment.
“–indeed, to wear a ring so easily mistaken as one belonging to adventurers, the vermin of the world … it must be a truly terrifying artifact.”
I blinked.
And then–
“Ohhho … ohoohho! You … You see the truth of it!”
The baroness squeezed her fists by her side.
“I knew it.”
I nodded, my bangs bouncing against my forehead.
“I-Indeed … ! This ring I carry on me … it is a masterful item of supreme quality, passed down along generations of my family! Why, its appearance matching those of rings worn by adventurers is no coincidence! Theirs are based on this very design! Although they have since tarnished it, it was forged back in the first days of the kingdom when copper was greater than gold! Poured within it is knowledge now lost to time! A power beyond compare, called upon from the depths of the Royal Vault!”
The baroness sucked in a hateful breath.
“Then that explains it,” she said with bitterness ringing throughout her voice. “You were able to defeat such a powerful adversary through the use of your family’s ancient heirlooms.”
“Indeed, this powerful ring with a rare ability I cannot disclose defeated a terrifying farmer! Therefore, there’s no need for you to relay any suggestion that I’m anything but a princess, as far removed from the Adventurer’s Guild as hygiene is to their members!”
The baroness gave no response.
A respite which lasted far too short.
“... I see, then it means the plan continues. Different, yes. But I’ll not be deterred.”
She smiled, the familiar sight of aristocratic opportunism mixed with an utter denial of facts shining within her grey eyes.
I could only react with horror.
“Plan?” I replied, convinced she was well and truly several sandwiches short of a picnic. “Do you mean the plan currently lying in a fallen heap beside us? Did you not just say I defeated your farmer? Your only plan now is to decide which part of the ground you wish to offer your forehead to.”
The baroness shook her head with renewed confidence.
“I think not. To defeat Willem of Hagel, you must have expended every effort you had available. Not a crumb of power could be spared, for to underestimate him would have resulted in your certain loss. Meaning …”
Without hesitation, she gave a multipurpose wave of her hand.
“... You’ve nothing left but a sword you cannot wield, and two retainers against all of mine. One of whom is incapacitated. The other a maid.”
She continued to keep her hand raised. Her simple call to arms.
It took several moments before she cared to even look around her.
A sad thing.
If she had, she would have realised the curiosity of her hoodlums was less than their prudence.
She would have noticed the eyes without loyalty, seeing only the fallen figure of a drunk they’d been led to believe was more than a farmer now watering the ground with his drool.
And she would have noticed the state of her dress, as dishevelled as her ambitions as those she relied upon slinked away in search of newer gutters to inhabit, following instincts she could learn as the last of their feet shuffled into the darkness.
The baroness paled.
It was far too early for that. She had no idea Apple was currently resting in her tavern, and wouldn’t be helping her haul all of the goods which needed delivering to a place less damp than here.
But I could sooth her forthcoming backache with a smile, at least for the assistance already provided.
“You have my gratitude,” I said, brushing a speck of … countryside from my lap. “For so long as the nobility continues to concoct slapdash schemes with no hope of success, the kingdom can continue to assign blame on you when all else goes wrong. When the mobs come calling and heads start rolling, it ensures a steady queue of necks can be offered before ours are reached. That is why the nobility continues to exist, you see, despite the ceaseless treason. So allow me to offer a word of advice when next you wish to survive in a position of responsibility. When fleeing, the best defence isn’t to run faster–it’s to trip the person beside you. And this means better hiring practices.”
I glanced pointedly around me.
All this empty space and not even a single eyepatched second-in-command to use as a distraction? An amateur mistake. One the baroness now realised as her mouth opened wordlessly, the realisation of her solitude only now dawning upon her.
Yet all it invited was a newly wrought defiance.
“I do not mean to flee,” she said, her fists tightly clenched. “I am Arisa Sandholt. And even should I be captured here, you would not be afforded a night’s rest. I am not alone. Whether tonight or tomorrow, this kingdom will fall. I am not alone in planning its demise.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Oh, please. Planning my kingdom’s demise is what everyone does.”
“What?”
“If it’s not being actively planned, it’s because someone’s in the middle of planning how to formulate a plan. And then once they’ve finished planning, they wonder why their plan didn’t work as planned. This is not a cause for concern. It’s a sign the world is still spinning the correct direction.”
The baroness feigned a dignified silence.
It was far too late, of course. By default, nobility had no dignity.
Still, I accepted the effort, and filled the silence with a tidy clap of my hands.
“Now, since you’ve no intention of fleeing, you can be useful instead. I’ll require a full inventory of your stock. I intend to requisition every single item you have in your possession. Every grain. Every crown. And every odd piece of tableware, carpet, candleholder and painting you might have.”
I pointed at the barn. A tragic thing to requisition. But if I was fortunate, it’d grow lacquered tiles and bay windows in the short steps between here and there.
Suddenly, the baroness’s eyes widened. The needless defiance dropped alarmingly from her face.
“Wait … what do you mean by that?”
I paused for a moment, puzzled by her reaction.
This was hardly the complicated part.
“I mean exactly what I mean. This should come as no surprise. I will be emptying every corner of the property you’ve misappropriated, including whatever manner of tunnels you’ve carved for your use. Rest assured, I’ll be employing the talents of my retainers extensively. With or without your cooperation, every single inch of your abode will be inspected by myself for the Royal Treasury’s benefit.”
She blinked between Renise and Coppelia. Although one was dressed as a maid and the other now appeared to be napping on the ground, their skills when it came to matters of unearthing valuables in my kingdom’s underbelly was not one I doubted.
Nor, from the way the baroness gulped, did she.
“I can do it,” she said suddenly.
I looked at her in confusion, uncertain what ploy this was.
“... Excuse me? Do what?”
“The items of value. I can bring them out. There’s no need to personally see to such a thing yourself.”
“While I’m in full agreement, I can hardly trust your reliability in this manner. And besides, I’ll hardly be playing the mule. I shall be supervising while closely assessing every item.”
Once more, the tonsils came out.
An appalling disregard of decorum. There was only one time that nobility was permitted to look so horrified in my presence. And that’s if they were copying my own after I discovered a list of marriage suitors posing as a napkin beneath the dessert spoon again.
“E-Even so … as the one who wronged you, I insist on not troubling a princess any further. If you give me a few moments, I can acquire the most important valuables for you in a fraction of the time you’d spend on finding them.”
“A few moments to hide them, you mean. No, I’m afraid that anything you wish to stuff beneath a floorboard will need to be appropriately examined first.”
I leaned away in mild alarm as a bead of sweat ran down the baroness’s face.
A moment later–
She finally did what only someone in her position could.
Adhering to the instincts of all nobility, she swept up her dress and suddenly dashed away.
Except it wasn’t towards the dark forest, to be lost amidst the shadows and the jaws of whatever awaited her there. It was back towards the barn.
I watched as she stumbled several times before even reaching the steps.
“... A desperate sight, no?” I said, with a sad shake of my head. “To throw away all semblance of the image she’d hoped to craft. Now she flees like a frightened towngirl. She should know that escape is now impossible.”
Beside me, Renise let out a hum.
Far from chasing after the baroness, she collected the pack of cards I’d assembled for memory wiping purposes. She began to build a house of cards.
I looked at her in puzzlement. She gave a strangely pained smile in reply.
“I believe we can offer her a few moments.”

I started reading books around 10 pages a day. I quitt smoking and i started doing breathwork before meditating , still i kept watching porn amd relapsing. However, i kept all the things that i added. I joined a gym and started a diet 3 months ago. I tried to water fast for a week before that but i relapsed a lot. There was no food in me, but i was relasing all the time. I didnt watch porn, but i was always on snapchat relapsing. I delted snapchat and unsubscribed from channel that have any soft porn . I was still relapisng. Finally, i decided to quit sugar and food with high gi index. At the same time, i read a book could your brain on porn. They talked about how porn blockers might help. I was so skeptical, but i said why not. I am losing either way. I downloaded one, but it wasnt free. I am cheap. I never buy for apps, but i said why not its like buying a pack of ciggrattes. I also found an app to track all my habits it was free. Its called habits nothing fancy, but it does the job. My take is that quitting porn and doing sr is not easy. You do it one step at a time. Just keep the good habits, and try implmenting new good ones. Just be kind to yourself and passiant with it. Like teaching your kid how to ride a bike. Ig u will not scream and treat your kid badly he falls off the bike. My wish now is to finish 90 days. I feel different. My mind before was sad and feeling lonely. All my thinking was how to get girls and sex. I feel now that i need to help people and my family. Girls are not my priority now. Good luck to anyone be strong u can make it.

(Zombie apocalypse thing, the zombies are based more from the dead island series but completely seperate universe so there's more creative freedom. Perhaps the apocalypse wasn't completely terrible, sure more than half the population was reduced to rotting cannibals but it wasn't all bad. Humanity had more of a chance now than ever with the race against global warming, now they only had to figure out a way to stop the seemingly endless hordes. But the animal population was slowly recovering along with most of the plant life. Multiple groups had popped up all over the place, many offering a safe haven and many more offering such with a little extra in the fine print. Most if not all these days were rather strict with their intake rules, three years into the apocalypse would make you cautious, and some were down right hostile towards everyone. Lone survivors weren't much better, too skittish to trust anyone and rarely give anyone to prove they're trustworthy or not. Casey sat quietly on a branch, watching the little settlement he'd stumbled upon. There didn't seem to be too many people around so perhaps it was new or just a group passing by, either way it could prove to be a source for a quick meal- or a quick way to end up dead. The little gas station seemed fairly secure, chain link fence all the way around with roughly made spike traps to fend off any of the dead, and what appeared to be a look out set up on the top of it. At least one person was currently there going off the fact he could make out the shape of someone hunched over doing only what he could assume was sharpening another spear. There was a stench but it wasn't too strong so there wasn't any active danger from the dead, not to mention it was awfully quiet as well. Taking a deep breath Casey shifted around before inching his way down from his spot, landing with a soft thump. "Okay, you've got this.. Just a quick scouting job, nothing you haven't done before.." If it was too dangerous he could bounce no problem, the area was safe ish after all. Picking up his backpack Casey started off, circling around towards the back of the gas station.
