2024.05.15 18:27 doglover2254 Experience with using an essay writing service

Experience with using an essay writing service
Positive Experience:
Sarah, a busy working student, found herself overwhelmed with a heavy course load and a looming essay deadline. She decided to try an essay writing service with a good reputation. They provided her with a well-written essay that met the specific requirements and referenced credible sources. Sarah was relieved to have the pressure lifted and received a decent grade on the essay. However, she felt she didn't learn much from the process and wouldn't rely on this service as a crutch in the future.

Negative Experience:
Mark, stressed about a challenging literature essay, used a less reputable service. The essay he received was poorly written, riddled with grammatical errors, and didn't address the prompt effectively. He ended up having to rewrite significant portions under pressure, ultimately receiving a low grade. This experience left him feeling cheated and frustrated.
Alternative Approaches:
Instead of relying on essay writing services, consider these options:
  • Seek help from your professor or writing center: They can offer guidance on developing your thesis, structuring your essay, and properly citing sources.
  • Utilize online resources: [Many credible websites](perfectcustompapers.com) provide writing tips, sample essays, and citation guides.
  • Form a study group: Discussing the topic with classmates can clarify concepts and help refine your arguments.
Remember, the value of an essay lies not just in the grade, but in the learning process. By taking ownership of your work and honing your writing skills, you'll gain valuable knowledge and confidence.

2024.05.15 14:41 Myshahaha Negative control showing a band in PCR

Negative control showing a band in PCR
I am doing my undergrad thesis that requires me to do PCR-RFLP analysis on DNA that I extracted from some blood samples. Initially, I was using the Qiagen mastermix for the optimization of my entire process using just 6 samples out of 100 samples. I successfully completed my optimization step, and got my desired results for those 6 samples. Once I have the measurements of the entire process i.e the amount of mastermix, forward priner, reverse primer, DNA template, and nuclease-free water along with the optimum annealing temperature for my selected primer, I proceeded on to doing the exact same thing on the remaining 96 samples serially. But I started encountering an unexpected error. For some reason, I started getting a faint band in my negative control(which only has nuclease-free water and no DNA template). At first I thought any of the reagents were contaminated, so I conducted a series of PCR reactions where in one I would use a freshly new mastermix, another time a fresh made working solution of primers and also an intact nuclease free water. In every PCR, I am getting a band in my negative control. Today I also tried using a mastermix of an entirely different company i.e. Takara Bio, but got the same results. I am just frustrated at this point. Can anyone help me figure out what is happening? How can I troubleshoot this and complete my thesis!

MELT CURVE of Designed DNA Control to Field Sample (Target Genes)
Good day, guys.
I am doing my thesis through One-Step RT-PCR using SYBR Green. Just would like to ask, I have determined the optimized conditions in the qPCR software which produced a clean melt curve with no extra peaks, which could indicate specific amplification, however,
As I applied the same condition to the field sample, extra peaks were observed. why is that? Could it be due to primer dimers?
It could be observed that for the primer validation step, the melting temperature is around 78 oC, while for field sample validation, it was be 65 for the first peak then 70 on the second peak.
Thank you so much for the help guys.
Primer Validation Step: Designed DNA Control having single and sharp peak
Field Sample using the same qPCR conditions and primer concentrations from the primer validation step
Sincerely,
A struggling graduating student

2024.05.14 21:01 purpleoyster67 Spearman R or Multiple Regression?

Hello,
I'm working on the statistical analysis of my thesis and I'm totally a beginner so I'm not confident.
I have a study sample that I grouped into 4 clusters, and I'm figuring out my results based on that.
I want to study if there's a relationship between personality traits (e.g. extraversion) which has a scale of 1 to 7, and a diet index with a range of points from 0 to 100 based on the clusters.
At first I tried doing Spearman R to see the correlation between these two variables but the more research I read I feel like in dietary pattern studies it is rarely used and regression is used more.
But I have no idea how these regression tests vary, and which one would be the best for my study (multiple linear, logistic etc..)
Any help is appreciated!

2024.05.14 14:58 HalloIchBinDerTim Simple Question about ANOVA

Hello and thank you!
A question for my master analysis:
The one way ANOVA examines whether at least one group differs from (at least) two other groups:
Which statistical analysis would you have to choose if you want to analyze: group 1 is significantly different from group 2 AND group 3?
My hypothesis (master thesis) would be:
: Modified warnings lead to increased recognition of ChatGPT hallucination than no warnings and simple warnings.
So group 1 is compared with group 2 and group 3!
Or should the hypothesis be split into two hypotheses in such a case? Then it would be a t-test for independent samples two times!
THANKS!

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / May 14, 2024 / Faraday Copper Corp. ("Faraday" or the "Company") (TSX:FDY)(OTCQX:CPPKF) is pleased to announce the results of five drill holes from its Phase III program at the Copper Creek Project, located in Arizona, U.S. ("Copper Creek"). One hole was drilled to test a new target area 275 metres ("m") west of Keel and one hole was drilled to test the westward extension of Old Reliable. Three holes were drilled at Area 51 as a follow-up to the recent Starship and Eclipse breccia discoveries (announced on January 16, 2024 and March 4, 2024).
Paul Harbidge, President and CEO, commented "The Phase III drill program continues to demonstrate the exploration potential of the Copper Creek Project on a number of fronts. At Area 51, we continue to intersect and expand near-surface mineralization. At Old Reliable, mineralization is being further delineated outside of the mineral resource pit shell. Additionally, the first reconnaissance hole drilled at depth, west of Keel, confirms our thesis that there is the potential for significant mineralization to be discovered below the Old Reliable breccia complex. This new data will enable us to vector to high grade zones for further drill testing".
Highlights
  • At Area 51, intersected 42.05 m at 0.41% copper from 48.55 m in drill hole FCD-24-056 at the recently discovered Eclipse breccia.
    • This hole expands the known mineralization within the Eclipse breccia approximately 20 m to the east and 50 m to the north from previous intercepts**.**
  • Drilling 275 m west of Keel ("Keel West") intersected 51.45 m at 0.50% copper and 1.39 grams per tonne ("g/t") silver from 820.62 m in drill hole FCD-24-053. This intercept is within a longer intercept of 186.90 m at 0.32% copper from 820.62 m.
    • This hole is in a previously undrilled area outside the Mineral Resource Estimate ("MRE") and confirms that mineralization is open to the west of Keel and below the Old Reliable breccia.
  • Step-out to the west of Old Reliable intersected 70.35 m of 0.29% copper and 1.31 g/t silver from 55.53 m in drill hole FCD-24-054.
    • Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite porphyry and confirms that near-surface mineralization at Old Reliable remains open.
(For true width information see Table 1.)
Area 51 was identified as highly prospective by integrating airborne versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) geophysical data and short wave infrared spectral data together with geological mapping and sampling. Area 51 encompasses a porphyry intrusion with nine mapped breccia bodies over an area of approximately 400 m by 400 m, including Starship and Eclipse. The breccias are interpreted to have been emplaced at a shallow crustal level in the hanging wall of the northwest trending Holy Joe thrust fault, which brought Proterozoic metamorphic rocks in contact with younger sedimentary rock units to the east of Area 51. This fault is also thought to have controlled the emplacement of the Paleocene Glory Hole volcanics and Copper Creek granodiorite which host the mineral resource.
Drill hole FCD-24-056 was collared northeast of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the southwest to increase drill coverage for the Eclipse breccia (Figures 1 and 2). Mineralization is associated with chalcopyrite and minor bornite breccia cement. The hole started in granodiorite porphyry and intersected hydrothermal breccia from 28 m to 108 m followed by granodiorite porphyry to 131 m. The remainder of the hole to 187 m is in Glory Hole volcanics. The alteration in the breccia domain is quartz-sericite-pyrite with an interval from approximately 50 m to 70 m where tourmaline is abundant.
Drill hole FCD-24-051 was collared 250 m north of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the southwest into the Ziltoid breccia (Figure 1). The hole intersected Glory Hole volcanics in the first 180 m, followed by 4 m of granodiorite porphyry. From 184 m to 247 m the dominant lithology is hydrothermal breccia. Alteration at the start of the breccia is sericitic but K-feldspar and biotite dominate from 190 m to the end of the hole.
Drill hole FCD-24-055 was collared southeast of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the Northwest (Figure 1). The hole intercepted Glory Hole volcanics from surface to 49 m, followed by a series of granodiorite and monzogranite porphyries. From 136 m to 327 m the hole intersected hydrothermal breccia cemented by quartz, pyrite and specular hematite. Alteration within the breccia is intense quartz-sericite. Minor copper mineralization is associated with chalcocite near the upper contact of the breccia.
Keel West is the area between the Keel zone and Old Reliable. This area coincides with a prominent untested geophysical anomaly which extends westward from the known mineralization at the Mammoth breccia and Keel zone to below Old Reliable (Figure 3).
Drill hole FCD-24-053 was collared east of Old Reliable and drilled to the south-southeast (Figures 1 and 3). Mineralization is associated with bornite and chalcopyrite bearing veins with narrow sericite-biotite-K-feldspar alteration halos and the hole ends in mineralization. This type of bornite-rich, vein-hosted mineralization is known to be associated with high-grade mineralization and elevated gold grades at Keel and suggests the potential for other high-grade mineralized centers at depth below known near-surface mineralized breccias in the area.
Old Reliable was the site of small-scale underground mining for copper and molybdenum prior to World War II. Starting in the 1970s, an experimental in-situ leach operation recovered some of the near-surface copper oxide mineralization. The sulphide-hosted mineralization remains in place. During the 1990s, densely spaced vertical drilling led to resource definition to approximately 200 m below surface. Several of those drill holes end in mineralization and the resource is open at depth and laterally. Additional follow up drilling is planned for this area.
Drill hole FCD-24-054 was collared north of Old Reliable and drilled to the southwest (Figures 1 and 4). The hole was designed to test the westward extension of the mineralization outside of the open pit used to constrain the MRE. Mineralization is associated with disseminated and vein-hosted chalcopyrite within granodiorite porphyry. The drill hole intercepted Glory Hole volcanics from surface to 50 m and granodiorite porphyry to 208 m, returning to Glory Hole volcanics to 295 m and granodiorite for the last 12 m. Dominant alteration associated with the mineralization is sericite with kaolinite. Similar alteration is present in the Old Reliable breccia (as discussed in a news release dated April 10, 2024).

Next Steps
Phase III drilling continues and is focussed on three objectives:
  • Reconnaissance drilling on new targets;
  • Expanding the MRE; and
  • Better delineating high-grade mineralized zones.
As part of the Phase III program, twenty-seven drill holes have been completed and results for nineteen have been released. Thirteen holes were drilled in Area 51, three in the Copper Prince-Copper Giant area, eight in the Bald-American Eagle area and three near Old Reliable. Current focus of drilling is on the near-surface breccias in the American Eagle area.
Sampling Methodology, Chain of Custody, Quality Control and Quality Assurance
All sampling was conducted under the supervision of the Company's geologists and the chain of custody from Copper Creek to the independent sample preparation facility, ALS Laboratories in Tucson, AZ, was continuously monitored. The samples were taken as ½ core, over 2 m core length. Samples were crushed, pulverized and sample pulps were analyzed using industry standard analytical methods including a 4-Acid ICP-MS multielement package and an ICP-AES method for high-grade copper samples. Gold was analyzed on a 30 g aliquot by fire assay with an ICP-AES finish. A certified reference sample was inserted every 20th sample. Coarse and fine blanks were inserted every 20th sample. Approximately 5% of the core samples were cut into ¼ core and submitted as field duplicates. On top of internal QA-QC protocol, additional blanks, reference materials and duplicates were inserted by the analytical laboratory according to their procedure. Data verification of the analytical results included a statistical analysis of the standards and blanks that must pass certain parameters for acceptance to ensure accurate and verifiable results.

2024.05.14 11:00 drred97 Help with combinatorics needed

Hi, I'm writing my master's thesis in experimental particle physics. I have a sample of simulated signal events, from which i try to reconstruct the higgs boson in each event by adding up the four highest momentum Kaons, two positively charged, two negatively charged ones (setting up a search for higgs pseudoscalars). Normally they peak nicely at the higgs mass, but there is also a smaller peak right next to that on the left, which has to be from combinatorics since we only look at the signal simulation. My supervisors and me concluded that we simply choose a wrong kaon in our reconstruction, which is obvious. However, we cannot explain why this leads to a peak in our histogram... Is this a known phenomenon?

2024.05.14 08:15 GATTOMODERATO [Q] is 196 a good sample?

I recently retrieved some data for my master thesis and it got down to "only" 196 companies. The main problem is that there is a dummy variable I care about (main focus of the thesis basically) which is going to be the main independent variable which is equal to 1 only in 46 times out of those 196 companies. Do you think it is a viable sample to use, is it too unbalanced, is it big enough? Thank you 😊

2024.05.14 03:58 maerceci04 Total Phenolic Content

Hello! I am conducting my thesis rn and I have some problems with the TPC part. The conc. of my calib curve was in mg/L, however the absorbance of my samples with a conc of 100 mg/L is too low resulting to a negative concentration of TPC. On the other hand, when i tried to use my 100mg/ml sample, a positive conc of TPC was obtained.
My question is that would it be okay for me to use the 100mg/ml sample?
PS: with all the papers that I have read, either the conc. of the calib curve or the conc. of the sample is not stated. Hence, I am so confused huhu

2024.05.13 19:18 kingcapitalsteeez Do I need “clinical experience” to apply?

Hi everyone, i plan on applying to clinical PhD programs in the cycle of 2025 to be admitted in 2026. I wanted to get people’s input on whether it is necessary that I go get some clinical experience given that I virtually have none. Just a bit about my CV: I volunteered as an undergrad research assistant for 2.5 years in a lab studying BD (did an honors thesis using data from a healthy sample). I had zero interaction with the BD participants and data collection was put to a halt due to the pandemic. I’ve been working post bacc for the past year in a lab that, while they promote themselves as a clinical lab interested in psychiatric disorders, it is actually an affective and developmental lab working with a community sample. I do administer SCID as part of my job and have been trained with how to deal with situations like suicidal endorsement. But outside of that, I don’t have any “clinical” experience as far as that is possible at this stage in my career. I surely will have extensive research experience and skills by the time I apply, including operating an MRI scanner (don’t know if this will be relevant in my applications yet), administering SCID, proficient with coding, running statistical analyses, both in R and fMRI data processing and analysis, with maybe a couple of publications (not first author, impossible in my lab, most likely mid-authors) and some posters (maybe 2 first authors and a few mid-authors). I also will have two really strong letters of rec from two distinguished professors in my field. No idea who will be my third at the moment. So should I go volunteer at some suicide hotline or outpatient/inpatient hospital to get clinical experience? How much will not being exposed to clinical populations hurt my resume? What type of “clinical experience” do you think would be best?
EDIT: seems like there’s a general consensus among the comments. Thank you all for your response! 🙏🏼

2024.05.13 18:13 Thin_Source_6777 I'm an asshole and I keep messing up

Right off the bat I will say right now is that I know for a fact that I'm the asshole in this thesis, because not only did I not do the things I was assigned to do, I often not do them at all. I struggle with this particular subject but the fact is I still didn't do them. I'm lucky they even still put my name on it despite the lack of effort I put in, my lack of initiative and lack of courage.
We have one last thing to do for it in order for us to get cleared to go to college, I messed up, got the message wrong, and lacked the amount of printouts needed in our thesis. We're the last group to not have passed it and I want to be the one to take responsibility in how long it took.
Right now I've sent a message that goes along the lines of "Give me all the money, the prints I've handed out, and a sample of the hardbound cover. I'll submit it personally when I go to school to get my card." This'll never be enough to make up for the things I haven't done. I am not growing to be better than I want to be since this was the outcome.

2024.05.13 17:39 nicoducarmemusic Teensy 16 -channel TDM audio

Hello ! For my Master's Thesis in Electrical Engineering, I'm building a modular 16-analog microphone array with a RPi. And I need a little help.
The goal is to build a HAT with all the digital components, and connect microphone with flexible cables. This would allow to create any array shape easily. Regarding the ADC's, I'm using 4 TLV320ADC6140 from TI that shares a I2C control bus and a TDM data bus. https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa383c/sbaa383c.pdf?ts=1715613745631 I would like to go up to 16 channel, 48Khz, 32bit which seems to be the maximum feasible on a TDM line.( BLCK would be 24.576 MHz) I can always drop the resolution to 16 bits and/or the sample rate to 24kHz if it's to ambitious.
As TDM is not compatible with a RPI, I will need additional hardware to convert the TDM data into SPI. For that task, a teensy 4.X seems like a great candidate. I have however no experience with them and have about 3 months of time. Do you think it's feasible ?
Thank you so much !
