Hi everyone,
I started a job almost a month ago and I feel so overwhelmed with everything. I am excited about learning but I feel they expected to have someone with so much more experience which i have pointed out in the interview that I don’t. I have expressed that i want to learn which is why I have taken the job.
The business is big and although i have experience in finance i feel like how they run things is different and I feel i’m slow at some aspects. Everyone is an expert Excel user to a point that it’s frightening (I consider myself intermediate user) Also the office is so noisy and an open space so trying to learn, ask questions has been a bit challenging.
I do enjoy it and i feel challenged in so many ways however, I contemplate quitting on daily basis cuz i feel like they could fire me. Finished first month end and I honestly don’t know how i feel about it. Every task that took them 10-15 min took me 1 hour and I feel so annoyed with myself.
I have Never doubted myself before but now I am so worried about not meeting expectations or getting sacked by the end of my probation (or before that even!). I also have an exam booked and now regret not canceling it as work is taking all my time and studying is stressful by itself.
Have you been in such situation? Am i being too harsh on myself trying to learn everything? Should i worry more? How do I proceed as I feel like i’m a fish out of water.

Hi, so me and my boyfriend are (f15 and m16) we are currently four months into our relationship. Hes Indian and I am Filipino, as you can tell by the tell his parents seem to not like me. And I just wanna ask if anyone has similar stories to mine, basically before his parents found out, he was skipping like all of his classes within that day just to see me and it reached to the point which resulted on his parents finding out. When his parents found out they forced us to break up, that was when we were 2 months and we still managed to make it work. Only thing was that they took all of his devices away to prevent us from talking for a certain time eventually he got them back after a while and just a few weeks after he planned on seeing me since he thought after the exams he could leave and not attend his regular classes. Shortly after us meeting his parents found out that he was absent and he had no choice but to admit to them that we met up. He then told me that he told them that he met me to break up and cut contact but as you can tell we aren't. I'm just really struggling right now. I don't know if it'll work out for me and him. I'm confident it will and I certainly have no problem with his parents just wanting him to focus on his studies but again they want him marrying someone within his culture and race. I'm not sure if he'll keep hiding in the near future once he's old enough but I'm just really worried if one day he'll leave me cause he values his family more. We've had these talks already but he hasn't mentioned anything about me meeting his parents one day eventually. He's also told me that he didn't care what his parents think about us because he loves me and that once he turned into an adult he would have full control with his life. - Revision booklets have such old questions
- Youtube is so much better than the online classrooms. The online classroom has ancient videos and very poor explanations

I wasn’t exactly thrilled when, on the first night P’uy̓ám stayed with me, the moment we sat on the sofa he turned to me and asked, “Can we talk?”
I was tempted to sprint out the front door (like any perfectly reasonable and emotionally stable person would), but I’m proud to say that I managed to fight that instinct. The talk ended up basically being ‘did I mind that he wasn’t human’. I told him no, he’s the smartest, nicest person I know, and I think he’s amazing. I asked him if he minded that I am human, and he told me he didn’t care about that. He said I make him laugh, and spending time with me makes him happy and want to be the best version of himself. He did also say that I’m beautiful and a lot smarter than I claim I am, but I chalk up those last two to him being super nice, because if asked to describe myself, the two words I’d probably use would be, ‘loud’ and ‘confused’.
We just stared at each other awkwardly for a moment after that, neither of us seemed entirely sure what to do – it was the first time we’d actually been alone together since ‘the kiss’.
Just when we’d figured it out (and no, internet stranger, I’m not going to be sharing any more specific details, thanks), a knock on the door and the sound of Sandy’s voice outside interrupted us.
“Oh hey hon. I just wanted to make sure you were still alive.” She smiled once I jumped up to open it.
Her eyes drifted to P’uy̓ám who waved awkwardly from the couch, glasses askew.
“Well alrighty then, I guess I’ll be going.” She just stood there, looking a bit lost.
I realized that was the first night she’d come home to any empty house after having company for a month straight – I guess even unspeakable horrors get lonely too.
“Sandy, do you want to come in and watch a movie with us?” I offered after a moment.
“Oh, you betcha!” she brightened and then proceeded to choose the seat between us. I swear she’s got psychic chaperone powers or something.
I suggested that maybe the three of us could do a game night every month, since we figured it’d be nice to catch up outside of just when we were trying to prevent the world was ending. I must say though, I thought Sandy was intense as a supervisor but she is a thousand times more frightening as a poker player – and we don’t even play for money.
I joked that we needed to take her to a casino, but she very seriously replied, “Oh I’m banned from every one in the state.”
I moved apartments after a month had passed without hearing from Yyohn. I’d been waiting to be absolutely sure, because I didn’t want to saddle a new renter with the whole, ‘you might be pulled into a nightmare world and sacrificed to an interdimensional entity’ thing – that would’ve been really inconsiderate.
I was so appreciative that P’uy̓ám stayed with me for a while. I may write with bravado when describing things in retrospect, but the very real possibility of being dragged through a reflective surface silently in the night never to be seen again, did freak me out.
It was also nice to finally spend some time together where we weren’t worrying about the imminent demise of either myself or our plane of existence (well no more than we usually have to worry, at least).
We decided not to tell anyone at the office that we're dating, it's easier that way. Well, I mean, Sandy knows since she did witness our first kiss whilst they were burying me alive.
As the time approached for our trip, I just really hoped that after not seeing P’uy̓ám for decades, maybe his family would welcome him back this time, forgive him for the minor transgression of ‘leaving home’ (yes, I’m still salty that they pretty much disowned him for that.) I figured if he didn’t, maybe he could get some closure, he could at least see the places where he grew up – homesickness had very clearly been really eating at him ever since we went into the woods for team building.
When we were planning our trip, he told me he’s never liked planes and was hoping to avoid flying. Considering ‘traveling on business’ in our line of work isn’t exactly defined as moving across physical space, it made some sort of sense.
He said it was something about not having solid ground under his feet, but when we mapped it out, it was over 5,000 miles round trip – so we could either spend 40 hours in a car, or 6 hours on a plane, each way.
He decided to give flying a shot.
People sometimes struggle to pronounce my first and last names off my driver’s license or credit cards, but they’ll at least try. As we were checking in the lady at the desk ended with, “Thank you Mr….” and then after staring at his driver’s license in silence for a few moments just gave up and handed it back to him.
I get it though, I mean, if I hadn’t heard him pronounce his last name, I would’ve never guessed it on my own – I’d just never encountered a ‘7’ in a name before I met him.
The security guy at the airport spent a long time studying P’uy̓ám’s passport. He stared at P’uy̓ám, then the passport with narrowed eyes. Back to him, then the passport, several times before eventually shrugging and handing it back over. I peeked at it before he put it away and noticed it said he was born in 1960 – and he may be 233, but he looks like he’s in his early thirties at most, so that explained the look of disbelief written on the agent’s face.
When I asked him about it, he said it’s a lot of work to fake all the documents needed to make the date match his outward appearance.
“It was a lot easier before there were electronic records.” He smiled.
I warned him that he should probably update that soon – bureaucratic apathy would only get him so far.
As we waited in the security line, his eyes widened when he saw people go through the body scanner, and he asked me what it was. When I told him, he turned pale and said he couldn’t go through it.
That left me with some questions.
“P’uy̓ám, when was the last time you flew?”
He had to think about that for a moment. “1986?”
“Yeahhhh… I’m pretty sure you can ask not to, but they’ll probably pat you down if you skip it.”
He grew even paler at that.
“Do you want the scan, or the hands?”
He ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head, indicating that he wanted neither, which unfortunately for him was not an option.

I was just glad they let him keep the dirt.
He looked so absolutely horrified during the entire flight and I felt so bad for him. Before we even landed, I asked him if he wanted to drive on the way back instead of flying and he instantly said yes, relief written across his face.
We had to rent a car to get to his hometown, and it took us an extra two hours to get there because there were so many places he wanted to stop and show me, like this amazing waterfall off highway 99. I could’ve done without the constant feel of eyes on us despite us being alone, but it was definitely beautiful, at least.
We began to see signs for this little touristy shop. As we kept driving, the billboards seemed to multiply, until they were at almost every mile. At my insistence, we stopped.
I regretted that decision as soon as we walked in – the place was devoid of life, there were no other customers, no employees – and something about how the dim, blueish lights cast shadows across the shelves gave me a searing headache.
Not to mention the items on the shelves themselves – a mildewy hoodie, that had ‘Someone who loves me visited Oklahoma and bought me this sweatshirt!’ written in fading letters.
It seemed more like a second hand shop than a tourist trap.
I’d found a beaded purse, but it had a wallet and driver's license still in it.
As we wandered, a case of jewelry across the store caught my eye and drew me towards it – it was insane how beautiful each piece was – all so captivating, and each one was totally unique. They looked almost like blown glass – swirling golds and blues in one, sharp magentas with specs of green in another.
As I was leaning in closely, studying them – it almost looked as if they were moving a bit in their case – someone whispered directly into my ear from over my shoulder, “Thanks for stopping in”
The guy appeared out of nowhere to lean in over my shoulder, causing me to scream (just a reasonable amount).
Creeper dude walked around to position himself behind the counter, asked if I wanted to see anything, before pausing to study my face for a moment. His eyes drifted down to the pendant that P’uy̓ám made me, the one for ‘I’m totally not a human, please don’t eat me’ purposes.
“Oh, this is beautiful”, he whispered, before deciding to violate my personal space by lifting it up and holding it.
His demeanor instantly changed from a handsy salesperson to something else entirely – his grin widened and he looked a little too excited.
“Have you signed our guest book?” He gripped my left wrist tightly, shoved a pen into my right, and studied me in a way that told me he wouldn’t let go until I signed it.
“Can I switch hands please?”

Literally nothing happened.

And still, nothing happened.

Once we got to the parking lot, P’uy̓ám pulled me close to him and put his chin on the top of my head while quietly muttered that he wasn’t sure how I was unaffected – calling someone their true name is how all those other pendants got filled.
He hadn’t realized at first, but when he saw another collection of ‘items made from tourists’ (I made him repeat that to ensure I’d heard that correctly but he didn’t expound on what the ‘items’ were and I was a bit afraid to ask) in the back, he knew.
That was when P’uy̓ám ran over to me, but the guy already begun to read my name, so he was worried it was too late.
He was relieved when I saw that I didn’t provide either of our actual full names – I’ve learned that sharing your entire, true name isn’t a great idea, not with non-humans, probably not with the internet in general.
Mikayla is what I go by, but it’s my middle name – I mean, my sister’s name is ‘Hasmig’, so yeah, I have a fairly traditional first name, too. And no, I’m not sharing it here.
Look, I’m not saying that you’re going to come track me down and try to bind my soul to an inanimate object to then sell to tourists. But, after that ordeal, I’d rather not take that risk.
When I turned back around, the entire store was just … gone.

I squeezed his hand, which helped calm him down – only letting go when it was time to show our IDs, and even then, only after the TSA officer glared at us
It’s a good thing we got there early, because when they asked if he’d emptied his pockets, he said no.
So, I watched him remove:
- His wallet
- His phone
- A multi tool
- A small plastic baggie of dirt
- A (rather large) Swiss army knife with the Canadian flag on it ("It was a gift" he informed me)
- One 16g stick of RAM
I hated seeing that look of misery on his face – I tried to maintain comforting eye contact with him as they patted him down.
They did let him keep the dirt with him, after scanning it since it’s apparently not prohibited, (just weird). He proceeded to stick it in one of his beat-up Converse before putting his shoes back on.
I understood the dirt – since he mentioned something about solid ground, I guessed it was as close as he was going to get on a plane – and even the multitool and knife.
But, when I asked him why he was trying to bring 16g of RAM into rural Canada in his pockets he just smiled, “You never know when you might need it.”
As soon as we boarded, I realized flying had been a terrible idea. He had a hard time fitting his legs in since he’s so tall – his knees were just jammed in there the whole time. Before we took off, some guy elbowed him in the face while trying to load a bag into the bin and P’uy̓ám said ‘I’m sorry’ to him. I glared at the guy until he apologized.
Everything freaked him out and he gripped the arm rests for dear life the entire flight. The sound of the wheels, staring out at the wings and the little flaps every time they moved (“Are those supposed to be doing that?” to which I could only unhelpfully shrug), the turbulence. I was just glad they let him keep the dirt.
He looked so absolutely horrified during the entire flight and I felt so bad for him. Before we even landed, I asked him if he wanted to drive on the way back instead of flying and he instantly said yes, relief written across his face.
We had to rent a car to get to his hometown, and it took us an extra two hours to get there because there were so many places he wanted to stop and show me, like this amazing waterfall off highway 99. I could’ve done without the constant feel of eyes on us despite us being alone, but it was definitely beautiful, at least.
We began to see signs for this little touristy shop. As we kept driving, the billboards seemed to multiply, until they were at almost every mile. At my insistence, we stopped.
I regretted that decision as soon as we walked in – the place was devoid of life, there were no other customers, no employees – and something about how the dim, blueish lights cast shadows across the shelves gave me a searing headache.
Not to mention the items on the shelves themselves – a mildewy hoodie, that had ‘Someone who loves me visited Oklahoma and bought me this sweatshirt!’ written in fading letters.
It seemed more like a second hand shop than a tourist trap.
I’d found a beaded purse, but it had a wallet and driver's license still in it.
As we wandered, a case of jewelry across the store caught my eye and drew me towards it – it was insane how beautiful each piece was – all so captivating, and each one was totally unique. They looked almost like blown glass – swirling golds and blues in one, sharp magentas with specs of green in another.
As I was leaning in closely, studying them – it almost looked as if they were moving a bit in their case – someone whispered directly into my ear from over my shoulder, “Thanks for stopping in”
The guy appeared out of nowhere to lean in over my shoulder, causing me to scream (just a reasonable amount).
Creeper dude walked around to position himself behind the counter, asked if I wanted to see anything, before pausing to study my face for a moment. His eyes drifted down to the pendant that P’uy̓ám made me, the one for ‘I’m totally not a human, please don’t eat me’ purposes.
“Oh, this is beautiful”, he whispered, before deciding to violate my personal space by lifting it up and holding it.
His demeanor instantly changed from a handsy salesperson to something else entirely – his grin widened and he looked a little too excited.
“Have you signed our guest book?” He gripped my left wrist tightly, shoved a pen into my right, and studied me in a way that told me he wouldn’t let go until I signed it.
“Can I switch hands please?”
He had the audacity to look at me as if I had mildly inconvenienced him, but did let me switch after I told him that was the only way he’d get actual, readable, words.
I flipped through the thick, yellowing pages to find a blank one and signed it ‘Mikayla G. and P’uy̓ám K.’
“Last names too.”
I sighed and wrote ‘Mikayla Garabedian and P’uy̓ám K--’ (I just wrote random letters after the K because I didn’t like how pushy he was being. )
“Exquisite, aren’t they?” he asked me with a smile, gesturing down at the jewelry. The small piece streaked with yellow and pinks was definitely shuddering in response to him pointing at it.
I nodded, but more out of politeness at that point, because he still had my wrist in a death grip.
“Mikayla, Wait.” I could hear P’uy̓ám call out in the distance, but I felt frozen there – it sounded like he was miles away
“Would you like to see how they’re made?”
Before I could answer, he leaned in and put a stone that resembled the others in shape and size, the only difference is that it was just plain, totally clear – into my hand, which he closed around it. It was like glass, but weightier, and where it touched my skin it burned slightly.
I could hear P’uy̓ám calling my name as he came sprinting over, right as the guy read my name off the guestbook.
P’uy̓ám gasped, but I didn’t understand why he was so freaked out.
Literally nothing happened.
P’uy̓ám helped me free my wrist from creepy guy’s crazy strong grip and sassily smacked the book out of his hands, before he could read it again.
And still, nothing happened.
The guy looked at us with narrowed eyes – a look P’uy̓ám returned, with even more intensity. The guy hissed at us as P’uy̓ám guided me out of the store.
Once we got to the parking lot, P’uy̓ám pulled me close to him and put his chin on the top of my head while quietly muttered that he wasn’t sure how I was unaffected – calling someone their true name is how all those other pendants got filled.
He hadn’t realized at first, but when he saw another collection of ‘items made from tourists’ (I made him repeat that to ensure I’d heard that correctly but he didn’t expound on what the ‘items’ were and I was a bit afraid to ask) in the back, he knew.
That was when P’uy̓ám ran over to me, but the guy already begun to read my name, so he was worried it was too late.
He was relieved when I saw that I didn’t provide either of our actual full names – I’ve learned that sharing your entire, true name isn’t a great idea, not with non-humans, probably not with the internet in general.
Mikayla is what I go by, but it’s my middle name – I mean, my sister’s name is ‘Hasmig’, so yeah, I have a fairly traditional first name, too. And no, I’m not sharing it here.
Look, I’m not saying that you’re going to come track me down and try to bind my soul to an inanimate object to then sell to tourists. But, after that ordeal, I’d rather not take that risk.
When I turned back around, the entire store was just … gone.
Apparently since I’m subletting a part of my soul (or as I like to say, ‘mildly possessed’), P’uy̓ám says mine was probably even more fascinating to the guy.
Due to our detours, it was getting dark by the time we reached P’uy̓ám’s family home.
Even in the low light, I could see the apprehension clearly written across his face. I wondered if he thought I was kidding about pummeling his family with my thousand page book if they were shitty to him. (Because I wasn’t)
The entire time, I’d thought that the worst thing that could happen would be that they rejected him – as we pulled up to the dark house, I realized just how very wrong I was. _

Hello,
I've known my friend that i'll call C for almost 10 years now. One of her closest friend is also my best friend that i'll call L (we've both known him for almost 6 years now). C and L are both psychology students .
Barely more than a month ago, C met a guy i'll call K. He's also a psychology student in the same class as C and L. It was an instant crush. They were head over heels for each other.
The first few times I and/or L met K, everything was fine. However, the more time passed, the more K showed sign of bad jealousy. Now keep in mind L is a 100% gay dude with a boyfriend.
One of the first signs of jealousy was when K and L were over at C's appartment. C's appartment is quite big and she has a guest room were L often crashed during exam seasons to study with C. That time, K put some if his stuff in the guest room and L very obviously jokingly said "You're stealing my room😩?". K didn't show it immediately but threw a temper tantrum at C after because of that.
On another occasion, L talked with K about various things but some were about his friendship with C and things that happened in the past. They ended the conversation on a positive note saying they could maybe do some activities together without C as friends. K then went on and said to C that L confided to him that he was jealous of their relationship and basically nothing else during that conversation (???).
The worst happened during a night out between K, C and L and a random ass friend of K that i'll call R. They were out in the pub and everyone was a bit drunk except C that was apparently a bit more drunk than the others. At some point the discussion turned to the subject of L's current boyfriend. He is a recovering addict and is currently totally clean as of 6 months. He has some flaws but the fact he is an ex addict isn't one of them. Well for some fucking reason, C, K and R started absolutely trashing L's bf for the fact he is an ex addict (no other reasons). Psychology students btw.
Then at some point they were talking about studying for exams and L mentionned how smart C was because she always payed attention in each and every class and help him. For some reason C took it as something you shouldn't say out loud and asked L to not say it again (as if it was some kind of insult?). L thought she was weirdly joking and repeated just for C to act suddenly ultra sad, K to act like a white knight and berate him and R to borderline cry about how it was oh so terrible to grow up with everybody around you saying how smart you are(?????????????).
Near the end of the night out, C started having an "anxiety attack" and claiming that hers and L's relationship was toxic and that L was "emotionally dependent" on her. That she ALWAYS helped L and was always stressing about him. And while she helped him during the past years, it was things good friends do such as being emotionally there when a friend goes throu gh a bad breakup or help for studying (nothing hardcore like paying for things or sheltering for long periods of time for example). When L said he'll just go if he was her anxiety attacks trigger she said that if he left she'll "just feel remorseful about him once again". So he had to spend one more hour with C and K with K berating him for stressing her out and at one point had to wait 30 minutes in the cold while K and C were in K's apartment.
L was obviously in shock at how this night went and had a falling out with C the days right after. At the end they made up but C still didn't recognize a lot of things and defended a lot her bf (of barely one month btw).
During that small "peace period" L went over to C's apartment for studying and K had an anxiety meltdown because L was over and would be spending the night with her.
Some days after, right after exams they hung out and talked about how to apply their classes to their real life problems and people they knew. Mind you, K (and sometimes C) told L a good dozen of different ways that he was an emotional manipulator and psycho analyzed him during C's "anxiety attack" during their night out without really any substance behind all that. C said that K was probably the best person to apply their classes IRL. L just replied that he didn't share the sentiment. C and K didn't say anything right after but this made K have a meltdown off screen.
Then C spammed L the day right after accusing him of doing this out of spite and being immature for not accepting K's apologies (K apologies = C apologizing on his behalf for some things he said). It happened to also be on L's birthday... L refused to deal with any of this anymore especially on his birthday and just said it was better for him and C to stop talking and that he'll give her back some stuff he had at his apartment. This somehow escalated and K's sent vaguely threatening voice texts to L.
I skipped over a few things but this behavior is kinda unusual for C, especially claiming wild ass things out of nowhere about someone who's very close to her like that and also she uses some expressions we never heard her use before during those arguments. And while I don't really appear in this story 1. I'll probably have to act as a mediator in the very near future
And after hearing the blatant L abuse and seeing how easily he gets frustrated and jealous and throws tantrums i'm also concerned for C's mental safety in the future.
How can I make her open her eyes when she herself kinda recognized he lied and at least said some hurtful things?
TLDR: C (a friend) and her bf K were weirdly mean to L (another friend). K is very jealous and was found lying about what L told him. He also often throws jealousy tantrums and tantrums in general. Pretty unusual for C to be mean like that to someone she's close with, especially saying out of nowhere their relationship is toxic. Pretty sure K is manipulating C to an extent and seeing how fast it's going I'm scared of losing her as a friend next but I really don't know how to get her to take a step back.

TLDR: C (a friend) and her bf K were weirdly mean to L (another friend). K is very jealous and was found lying about what L told him. He also often throws jealousy tantrums and tantrums in general. Pretty unusual for C to be mean like that to someone she's close with, especially saying out of nowhere their relationship is toxic. Pretty sure K is manipulating C to an extent and seeing how fast it's going I'm scared of losing her as a friend next but I really don't know how to get her to take a step back.

So for the whole of my yr 12 my cs teacher has been pumping us full of 9608 and giving us all these guides to 9608 papers our mock programming exams were 9608 for fucks sake so imagine my surprise when less than 20 hours to our exam I'm finding out it's nothing like 9618 at all It's basically theory with a few programming questions sprinkled in. I'm not saying I'm not at fault for not doing 9618 papers too I did just the theory ones because I didn't expect there to be a drastic difference between 9618 and 9608 but what the actual fuck. And now it's 2am I've gotten 3 hours of sleep in the last 2 days and I'm so fucking done with this bullshit.

There were a fair number of questions that I was genuinely guessing on and a few terms I encountered nowhere in my studies (DSDM as an agile method, peer review, I'm hoping they were the test questions). 10 EVM questions, one of which I still have no idea how to solve (given early start in weeks, actual time in weeks and SPI, figure out SV). It felt *very* heavy on the BA questions, felt like 40% rather than 27%. More scenario questions than straight information questions, as expected.
Here's what I used:
PMI's CAPM course - Zero stars, would not recommend at all, I want my money back. I'm honestly debating contacting PMI with feedback.
Andrew Ramdayal's Udemy 26 hour CAPM course - 5 stars, highly recommend.
TIAExams Simulator, well worth the $30 if you do all the practice questions and tests. There were multiple questions on the test that were one or two words different from questions in these practice tests.
This CAPM Summary goes through the official CAPM Exam Content Outline and answers each and every single point.
The SPACE video and this page were the keys to memorizing and fully understanding all the formulas
The ThirdRock notes are clutch and absolutely worth the money.
The Peter Landini practice test book is $9.99 on Kindle, buy it electronically, access it in browser, you don't need a Kindle. I did all his quick quizzes, 50 question sets and practice test multiple times.
There's another practice test book by Yassine Tounsi available free with Kindle Unlimited (you can always get a free 30 day trial), I did one of the tests and didn't like how the questions were written.

I'll admit this was very petty of me, but what's done is done.
Today, it was the national tests in sweden. Me(15f) and my friend(14f) had just done the last math exam that was 100 min, and we were both starving and tired. We hadn't had breakfast, and we still had lessons after the test.
We had a small break before the lesson so we decided to relax in a playground near our school. It's important to mention that our school is still building the outside so no one can hang out outside, and the hallways were packed with people. So we went to a playground near our school and sat on one of the big swings. There was another big swing and two smiler ones, so we weren't hogging the swings.
There was an old couple there with their grandchild, and they were on the slides. Me and my friend were swinging around and having fun, especially since we could finally relax from studying. We were only there for 1 min before the old man called out to us. He told us that we were too old for this and to get off the swing. He said it very aggressively, and my friend got embarrassed. She said we should go, but I was mad. There were a bunch of other swings. We were talking quietly and not bothering them at all. So I didn't understand why he thought he had the right to be rude to us. I would've left if he had said it nicely, but he kept repeating it after we nodded and got more aggressive. His grandchild was screaming, and I was getting very frustrated. I told him off by saying that everyone had the right to be here and that he had no right to talk to us like that. I didn't scream, but I was giving him an attitude.
My friend got upset and just got up. I followed her and asked her why she let that guy get to her, and she told me that we were too old for swings and that I was being disrespectful to someone older than me. She said I should apologise, but I refused.
My friend is still upset with me for making a scene and speaking disrespectfully to that old man. Now that I've cooled down, I realised how childish I was, but I still think I am in the right. But I still feel bad that man was just trying to enjoy spending time with his grandchild, and I ruined it.
So AITA for behaving disrespectful towards someone older just because of a swing.

Context: i started full time studying summer of 2022 and practice scores were not cutting it so i pushed back the exam. Studied again from may to july 2023 and received a very low mcat score (didnt break the 500s). I studied AGAIN from jan 2024 - may 2024 and took 2 aamc practice exams so far and got a 509, then a 503. I attribute both of those scores to remembering some questions since i have taken those tests like 3 times lol. today i decided i wanted a completely fresh new exam so that there were no "remembering questions" so i took the kaplan free test and got a 497. Super defeated and honestly, i think thats my sign to call it quits lol. ive been looking into PA and dentistry as well. just wanted some advice/thoughts on the situation. pls be kind lol already devastated as it is lol

Now that the CPA exam can be completed over 30 months I feel like I can manage finishing all the exams in that time. For a bit of context, by I've already taken one exam and by July 2024 I would have taken my second one. What would you guys recommend? well the practice and midterm were not quite as difficult as I thought they were going to be but the midterm was harder that the practice exam. I got most of the straight-forward questions, but the tricky questions really got me. I got stuck working on the last question when the time ran out. about the same timing as the practice exam. The one thing that made me angry is that there was no warning bell when there was 5 and 1 minute left so at least I can take a random chance at the last one. Even the "Engineering in Training" exam that took all day (morning and afternoon) session gave a warning when time was about to be up. Please consider adding this to future exams. Or at least make the close detectable from the exam to I can leave it on my desktop and keep an eye on it. I scored 16.5 out of 20. So that's a "B" so not so terrible. I am an 4.0 honors student so it kind of pisses me off when there are obstacles getting in the way of doing better than I can.
Also I think during midterm week, questing should be put on hold. I have enough to do studying for this midterm and other midterms..

Hey guys,
Need some advice here. Im an incoming staff at EY, originally my start date was set to be July 2024, but I pushed it back to January 2025 because I wanted to study and take my CPA exams. I just got the confirmation to start in January but im having second thoughts about starting then. I feel like i dont need all that extra time.
Now that the CPA exam can be completed over 30 months I feel like I can manage finishing all the exams in that time. For a bit of context, by I've already taken one exam and by July 2024 I would have taken my second one. What would you guys recommenced? Also would my recruite team be upset that I keep flipping back and forth between start dates?
