What is ZenUML?

ZenUML is one of the best Sequence Diagram as Code solution in the industry.
It's considered "unique" because, unlike Mermaid or PlantUML, which are essentially Text2Diagram tools, Code2Diagram is not just text, but "logical text" with a domain-specific language syntax.
A diagram is a visualization of logic.
In the realm of sequence diagrams, we believe ZenUML is currently one-of-a-kind.

What Can Sequence Diagrams Do?

"Sequence diagrams, the only good thing UML brought to software development"
This article, written by the founder and CTO of Mermaid, resonates deeply with me. In reality, no matter how complex the logic, when implemented in a program, it ultimately follows a sequence; no matter how intricate the business, when broken down into processes, it also has an order.
Therefore, over the past decade, the only diagramming habit I've maintained is creating sequence diagrams. In fact, sequence diagrams go far beyond just software component design.
These are so many "best practices" I've accumulated, and I hope to have the opportunity to share them.
Example of Sequence Diagram on ZenUML: https://cdn.sa.net/2024/05/29/9ThQJOBoUgZbFDC.png

The Lifecycle of a Diagram

In reality, there are two types of diagrams.
One type is drawn for a one-time presentation: we should use tools like Excalidraw as freely as possible because they create visually appealing diagrams.
The other type is drawn for maintenance. These diagrams become part of our knowledge base, serving as carriers of knowledge or even knowledge itself. Their purpose is not for people to simply look at—their purpose is to help people understand knowledge faster.
In businesses, I've seen countless vsdx files that no one is willing to maintain anymore because once the visualization becomes disconnected from the underlying logical knowledge, the mental burden of picking it up again is immense.
I do believe that 'Diagram as code' is the only solution. If you need diagrams to assist your knowledge over the long term, evolving alongside your designs and knowledge, then don't let everything start with a blank canvas.

New Pricing Model and My Vision

We have made pretty a lot large clients on Atlassian Platform. The value of sequence diagrams and ZenUML is recognized in many ways in industry, however our very first SaaS product has less than 10 users in past 8 years. We didn't promote enough of course is one of the reasons, however we are also not considering our SaaS product has to be profitable.
As long as we believe the product and the best practise along with it can value more and more people, we decide to make a significant price reduction from this month.
With the launch of new features and a new UI, we've introduced annual subscriptions and significantly reduced the price of annual subscriptions. This is not because we believe the tool is not valuable, but because we want more people to get used to the idea that "diagrams" are a language and a form of expression, a way of life that should be a permanent part of your valuable logic and knowledge.
Original , 4.99 or 7.99 monthly -> https://cdn.sa.net/2024/05/29/ZacymoQBxJL2qO1.png
New Pricing, 0.87 or 1.25 montly when annual billing -> https://cdn.sa.net/2024/05/29/f85nWTjJuCroiaQ.png
This shouldn't be the kind of diagramming tool that you use to create a single image for social media. It should be an integral part of your knowledge, capable of evolving alongside your design and remaining perpetually up-to-date.

Upcoming New Features

In the future, we will also introduce a series of AI-powered features under diagramly, and ultimately they will be integrated into the same ecosystem as a whole. Many features are still in testing, but I personally have already heavily reliant on them and can't live without them.

Finally

Welcome aboard and check it out! Feel free to DM me with any feedback or suggestions for features. ZenUML

2024.05.28 18:41 realsiren How will working in call center improve my German?

I have a short time to learn German by level C1 and I'm a bit concerned especially I'm very bad at grammar. I found this organisation which is customer service and it basically teaches German for 6 months and then I'll work as minimum as 6 months. It'll be beneficial in terms of practising but will I be able to pass TestDaf? I know grammar very bad, I'm at level A2 maybe or not even there so I'm scared. I don't know is it better to take individual courses of German and learn it by myself or work here and I'm just really scared. What do you recommend?

i have to use my own car for my test because my instructor will be away. it's a 2010 chevrolet spark LS.
i bought a second rear view mirror as required for the examiner, but i was wondering if i can use my car at all for the test?? if there are any examiners or instructors on here who could answer, that would be amazing!
from the passenger seat, you can't see the speedo at all. would this be okay? can they use another form of speed measuring like a satnav or their own experience to tell if i am going at an appropriate speed? or will i have to suck it up and try and find a different date for my test so i can use my instructors car, where they can see the speedo.
i am a lot more comfortable in my own car and have done more practise in it so it would be nice to use it, but i understand if i can't.

2024.05.28 16:07 AdwikaS My OET journey

I started my OET prepration last month, and got serious for it after booking the exam. I started preparing by practising all the materials I could, like the Jashan files and the Google drive material shared on reddit. I will share the link here as well.
On the test day, I performed better than I did in practice. For listening it takes continuous focus .
Here is my score in each subtest:
Reading: 500
Listening: 460
Speaking: 410
Writing: 390
This was my first attempt.
Before the result, I was scared about having messed up in writing. I chose the OET on computer at a venue. So, the good thing was I could edit my letter and word count was visible throughout. But I had practised typing on mac. At the venue, the desktop was different and older one, with keys harder to press. ( This point may not be relevant to many of you, but was to me ) So , my typing speed was lesser and I could hardly complete my letter. I just wrote 200 words in total. YouTube videos suggested to write upto 230-250 words. Although, I hadn't missed any important information, I was scared. Seeing the result I'm happy.
For speaking I practised on the discord app, with 1 or 2 strangers in the last 4-5 days.
I am sharing my journey here because I got help at every step of my MRCS and then my OET journey from strangers. If there is any material you need, you can ask me.
I am not a native English speaker, although I have studied and spoken English all my life. I was always confident in the language, but still while preparing, this exam seemed tough.
All the best guys.
Here are the Google drives that I got from Reddit: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NVdBFWSqnswl58pr96BVwTkH1ceT6P-j

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qNhYC3YJDIp2DWIMTU9Y5ooyujrOG-gi
The exam was very similar to the OET sample tests given on the website. Do practice these tests 1 or 2 days before your exam.

2024.05.28 15:58 moose15___ is getting a 25 ss in methods even realistic for me at this point?

for context, i go to a specialist school that generally performs very well. im in year 11 this year doing 1/2 methods and its my worst subject by a long shot but i need it for prerequisites.
ive missed majority of this term due to medical issues. because of that ive been very behind, and just generally not myself and ultimately ive been forced to confront if getting into undergrad med (my dream) is even possible for me.
i did part a of a math sac earlier this week and i just know i flunked (likely under 40%). i missed almost all the classes on the topic but did all the set work, and a couple of practise tests. i felt i understood the content well, yet clearly i was wrong. part b is tech-active which ill probably do even worse in.
my current average in methods is 42% (doing horrendous is not an isolated incident), so i got curious and plugged all my subject averages into a ss calculator and then an atar calculator (i know its not super accurate i just need a rough estimate), and right now im predicted at 98.7 with a raw 21 in methods.
at this point, i dont know if undergrad med will be a pathway available to me so i need biomed as a backup to aim for graduate med, but is it even realistic for me, with my current scores, to get a 25 study score in methods for the prerequisite when im in year 12? how do i improve, or am i a lost cause?
please bring me down to earth.

2024.05.28 08:32 Financial-Deal-737 Seeking advice for O level preparation

Hi, I’m currently a Secondary 4 student taking O level this year and I would love some tips and advices on preparation for O levels.
I take English, Higher Chinese, Pure chemistry, Pure physics, Emath, Amath, Pure history, SS + elect Chinese literature
and I intend on using:
L1: HCL
R1: Emath
R2: Amath
R3: History
R4: SS + C-lit
R5: Physics (If my English is better than my physics then I’ll use it as L1 and Chinese as R5 instead)
—————————————————————————— (Current —> ideal)
English (A2-B4 —> A2) My grades for English has been very inconsistent and I think the main problem is listening compre (I usually barely pass) as well as narrative comprehension.
Chemistry (C-fail —>B4/C5) I do not intend to use chemistry in my L1R5 so I prioritised my other subjects and I have been doing quite poorly for chemistry. However, I don’t want it to look that bad on my O level cert so I would like some advice on what I should focus on to get a B/C.
Physics (B3-C5 —> A2) I understand most of the concepts but I really struggle with Kinematics and Dynamics. Additionally, I’m uncertain on how to answer SQ questions when I have not seen similar questions before.
History (B3/4 —> A2) I have trouble memorising the syllabus and would like some advice on what I should focus on.
Maths: I usually get A1 for both maths in internal tests but I struggle when I do practise papers where they test the whole syllabus.
I made a plan to start doing TYS for math and sciences, any other advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

2024.05.28 04:39 research_drama Citizenship Test

My citizenship test and interview is scheduled for next month. Can anyone give me an idea on what to expect?
Is the test going to be the same 20 questions as the practise test on the Immi website? Or can it be anything from the pdf guide book they provide to study for the test?
What about the interview? And how long does it take to get citizenship approved after that?
My council has a ceremony every month, so hoping it can get approved soon and I get my citizenship soon!
Thank you in advance! :)

2024.05.28 03:01 miastrawberri Hello friends, I wanted to hear about your stories about being gaslit/dismissed by doctors before you found out you had this condition/ or even when you personally knew you had it

I don’t have a definitive dx yet of fibroids. My story goes as follows:
Ive always had severe painful periods growing up, thought that was normal. Pain to the point where I’d have to throw up or taken home.
I sign up to a doctor during my first year of university and stay at the practise for three years
I relay this to my male GP, he says it’s perfectly normal symptoms it is nothing I should be worried and I’m just anxious over nothings, I leave feeling sad
No answer for my terrible cramps and now what I know what are classical endometriosis symptoms.
I start getting different and worse pelvic pain; particularly on the left side, I have a frequent urge to urinate , dyspareunia etc.
I go in and ask if there anything he can do? He basically says he doesn’t to waste tests on me and I’m fine.
The next week I go in because my normal gp is on holiday. Now the doctor I see is a male. But he instantly performs an exam and gets several swabs for testing. He finds my vaginal wall has ab adenxal tumour. I’m not certain what is yet. Likely a fibroid and hopefully not something more insidious.
He gives me a referral to a gynaecologist. I see her and she feels the mass says it’s quite large like an orange (I know they can grow even bigger than this which is crazy. She also confirms she thinks I have endometriosis and possibly adenomyosis. I then see a public service where the specialist also believe I have endo and that I need to get the mass taken out.
I go back to my GP and he dismissed me again, basically saying the two gynaecology DR were wrong. He also didn’t even mention the mass.
I’m having an MRI done soon and removal next month and at the same time she will look for endometrial tissue where it shouldn’t be and she will make a plan after that surgery for further treatment.
If I had not seen that other DR I would have continued getting worse. (Endo wise and mass wise). GP never admitted fault. There is also a very small chance it could be cancer. I’m mad that my pain was never taken seriously. And even if it’s super unlikely to be cancer, the progression of the endo is very harmful on my body, the continuation of it without treatment for so long has worsened it.

2024.05.27 19:54 testitupalready We are making an AI Interviewer agent to help conduct and prepare for SWE Interviews

Hi Community,
We are currently working on building an AI Interviewer Agent, an agent capable of conducting end-to-end interviews (we are literally trying to mimic real-world interviews using AI) and providing detailed feedback for the candidate. I graduated last year and currently am working as a Software Engineer.
We say two problems:
  1. Being a recent grad, I am always a bit nervous and stressed out during interviews (and I have also seen many of my classmates the same way). And I believe this is mainly because we lack practice!
  2. As software engineers, we have to take a lot of interviews - no offense, we like meeting new candidates - but during the interview when we realize that the candidate is either not a good fit or is not well prepared, it kind of is a waste of both our times to continue.
So, we decided to build this. We believe this would not only help organizations conduct interviews (pre-screen prepared candidates) but also help candidates prepare.
I know you might think there are several interviewers in the market, but, they are kind of QA agents who ask a fixed number of questions based on your resume or JD. Whereas, we are trying to build something that takes interviews as in real-world. That is, you go through introductions, resume discussions, technical evaluation (dsa) etc.
Recently we made a demo video (https://youtu.be/PmB33L95gQs). We would be very grateful if you could give some feedback (watch at 1.5x).
And also if seems interesting to you and you want to help us beta test it, DM me or join the waitlist at https://cognatoai.comfeedback
Thanks!
FYI:
Following are a few more pieces of information about our interviewer agent (there are more, which we will share later):
tl;dr: We are building AI interviewer agent for Software Engineering roles (to help practise and conduct). Above is a youtube video (unlisted) to show the demo. Please provide feedback. If this is interesting and you want to help beta test - DM or join waitlist.

2024.05.27 18:11 Nythern Automatic fail on an A-road roundabout

I entered an A road (like the busy highway looking roads) and we drove towards a roundabout; my instructor told me to take the second exit. There were three lanes to choose from before actually entering the roundabout, so I took the middle lane because that's usually for the second exit.
The middle lane also had an arrow pointing forward (i.e. for second exit) while the left lane had an arrow pointing both left (first exit) and forwards (second exit). My instructor told me that if this had been the real driving test, I would have automatically failed because I always need to stay on the left lane on highways - but that in reality it's fine to go down the lane that I had chosen.
Now, while I understand this (as you must always stay on the left unless overtaking when on a highway) it has really thrown me off with all roundabouts now. For the first time ever on a normal roundabout, I chose the wrong lane. My instructor told me to go to the second exit, and so I went to the left lane - which was only for the first exit. I instantly realised my mistake and just asked if I could take the first exit as it wasn't safe to correct/change lane.
I'm worried that during the exam, I'll be at a roundabout I've never practised before and I'll naturally take the middle lane for the second exit and therefore repeat the mistake that my instructor pointed out. On all A roads, should you just assume the left lane is the one to take for the second exit?

2024.05.27 18:09 ThebritishPoro Highest damage build (By Far)

I've tested five different build paths in practise tool vs dummies of armour ranging from 50 to 250.
The combo I used to test was a simple and quick ER AA WQ AA Q AA R2Q AA -> (Hydra if bought)
The builds are as follows:
Eclipse, Sundered, Shojin
Ravenous, BC, BT
Profane, Shojin, Serylda
Profane, EoN, Serylda (Aatrox build)
Profane, Shojin, LDR
The latter does the most damage with 0 crits to any target above 100 armour. Until then, the Aatrox build does more damage, but then you are lacking the haste from Shojin.
If you get even one crit (which happened around 50% of the time in my testing) then the LDR build wins at all armour values, even 50.
If you get 2 crits (which happened roughly 20% of the time in my testing), then the damage isn't even close. The LDR build blows everything else out of the water.
LDR is definitely an item we should be considering. It pretty much always outvalues Serylda.

2024.05.27 05:57 FailLongjumping5736 Bombed my interview, feeling awful

I just had my first ever technical SQL interview with a big commercial company in the US yesterday and I absolutely bombed it.
I did few mock interviews before I went into the interview, also solved Top 50 SQL + more intermidates/medium on leetcode and hackerank.
I also have a personal project using postgresql hosting on AWS and I write query very often and I thought I should be well prepared enough for an entry level data analyst role.
And god the technical part of the interview was overwhelming. Like first two questions are not bad but my brain just kinda froze and took me too long to write the query, which I can only blame myself.
But from q3 the questions have definitely gone way out of the territory that I’m familiar with. Some questions can’t really be solved unless using some very niche functions. And few questions were just very confusing without really saying what data they want.
And the interview wasnt conducted on a coding interview platform. They kinda of just show me the questions on the screen and asked me to write in a text editor. So I had no access to data and couldn’t test my query.
And it was 7 questions in 25mins so I was so overwhelmed.
So yeah I’m feeling horrible right now. I thought I was well prepared and I ended up embarrassing myself. But in the same I’m also perplexed by the interview format because all the mock interviews I did were all using like a proper platform where it’s interactive and I would walk through my logic and they would provide sample output or hints when I’m stuck.
But for this interview they just wanted me to finish writing up all answers myself without any discussion, and the interviwer (a male in probably his 40s) didn’t seem to understand the questions when I asked for clarification.
And they didn’t test my sql knowledge at all as well like “explain delete vs truncate”, “what’s 3rd normalization”, “how to speed up data retrieval”
Is this what I should expect for all the future SQL interview? Have I been practising it the wrong way?

2024.05.26 22:38 8Dataman8 Victory Wrap - My most painful craft

Victory Wrap - My most painful craft
https://preview.redd.it/cg2c00r3mt2d1.png?width=1128&format=png&auto=webp&s=180aff9b2bf345f9ad37c74e15fe73e9f14003c6
I just finished my most complex and painful craft yet, only possible due to the powerful Graveyard mechanic and lots of hard work.
In Standard, I have a golemancer whom I like deeply. I mostly use the character to raid Sanctum and do whatever farming I feel like at the moment. I made the character originally in Trial of the Ancestors, where I managed to snag a Brass Dome with a double corrupt granting +1 to level of socketed gems and +2 to level of socketed minion gems. Naturally, it was huge for my build for the longest time: Witch has a hard time finding armour sources, 5 maximum elemental resistances and implicits to die for. However, eventually I began to wonder. Could I make something even better?
Other uniques wouldn't work for what I wanted and this specific double corrupt was hard to come by. Therefore, I figured I'd like to make a Rare item. But what kind? It would have to satisfy these criteria:
1) Give big defences 2) Give gem levels (essential for damage) 3) Give max res
I went researching. Eventually, I landed on a Chayula's Grasping Mail as the base item. It gives all defences and can have a 50% global defences fracture, making crafting easier. Here's where the road turned up: Getting Spell Suppression with the two correct gem mods from fossil crafting would've been an astronomically low chance. I buried the project.
However, in Necropolis, when I heard that you could craft multi-fractures AND Grasping Mails, I went back to the morgue of ideas and dug this up again. I searched for a base with fractured Global Defences and max Spell Suppression. Nothing. I tabbed the search and kept clicking it throughout the weeks. Eventually, one base was posted for 150 divs. I quickly scrambled to sell pretty much every currency I had gathered up to that point and bought it. Then, I went back to farming Harvest, until I thought I was ready.
This is where the true pain began. Over the course of the next week, I spent 310 Grand Embers, 5 Orbs of Conflict and 3 Exceptional Ichors trying to push the max res implicit up. I had the worst luck with grand rolling, max res turned from Grand to Greater against a Perfect Eater mod TWICE. That's when I got fed up and started using Beast locking. The first lock showed me that the Grand max res mod would've turned into Greater for the third time, but on the next lock, it went through. I removed locks by using Sacred Orbs when the defence values would've gone up and with a jeweller's orb when it would've gone down. With six locks and 126 Grand Ichors, I finally achieved Exquisite max res with Exceptional Pride effect. This will be important later.
I used Perfect Fossils to make the base into 30% quality, then added a Gilded fossil implicit for a good measure and went to CoE to check the best fossil setup. I'd have to use Corroded, Dense, Pristine and Faceted fossils in a Prime Resonator to get my desired suffixes in 28 tries. I was confident at that point. With the hilariously busted Allflame of Sulphite, I got 65k sulphite from one map and delved all the way to 666 depth (deepest I've ever been) and found a very nice amount of fossils. However, at the end, it took me 85 attempts to get the mods I wanted. This experience has scarred me for life and I swear I'll never, ever seek to make another multi-gem fossil craft. The name "Victory Wrap" feels like much-needed catharsis. That sense of victory continued when I was suggested to use a Tailoring Orb and the first one I tried gave me the literal best option. My main golem and the support gems are all either blue or red, so not having green sockets made it much easier to craft. And if I'd ever want to use a different skill or support, I could just use an Omen of Blanching, since the enchant forbids green sockets, not white ones. I might actually try making four sockets white, purple juice doesn't sell for that much.
This is where Exarch dominating the item is relevant again. That meant Eldritch Annulment Orbs were guaranteed to remove a prefix. They couldn't remove the fractured mod, so I could pretty much keep trying for my desired 110% to Armour, Evasion and Energy Shield -mod forever, by:
1) Crafting life 2) Slamming ex 3) Removing crafted mods 4) Eldritch Annul
And rinse and repeat. I got t2 after 8 tries and decided to settle there for now and craft phys taken as ele. After all, CoE said my chances were 1/44 and I didn't want to tempt fate. I can finish it in Standard, where Eldritch Annuls are cheaper. It's not a big difference, but this is my beloved now.
Now, how does this improve my build? According to PoB, by socketing this would remove 1.8% of total DPS and 5.7% elemental max hit, but give me 22% spell suppression (hard to get as a Witch), 6% phys max hit, 55% more effective hit pool, 173 more life (due Brass Dome's "Strength provides no bonus to Maximum Life" mod being gone), 113% more energy shield, 167% more Evasion and +2% movement speed.
I'll have to test it in practise, but this seems like I've arrived at the end point chestpiece for that character. I'm not sure how I could've made it better.
Now, the price? I dread to think of it and can't remember all the prices as they were along the journey, but here's the rough estimate of the total worth of resources used on this: 150 divs worth for the base, 110 divs worth for the eldritch, 63 divs worth for the fossil slammage, 1 div for a Tailoring Orb and 3 divs of Eldritch Annuls and Exalts. Now, I want to make it clear that at no point did I have 327 divs just chilling at my stash. Most of the materials were self-farmed, including five frogs and about two thirds of the eldritch embers/ichors. This increased the pain but kept costs affordable. I would map for a day and then pour all the eldritch embers and ichors I got into the chestpiece. I would only look for Molten Cavities and Vaal Outposts in Delve, only using currency when I got sick of delving. I also got a donation from someone who quite the league, which went a long way.
This was quite the journey and I'm glad it's mostly over. Thanks for reading and in you didn't, TL:DR: I made this cool item, fossils and eldritch suck majorly.

2024.05.26 20:28 adsolros A tip for harness training

A tip for harness training
Hey! So me and my gw have been trying to get the harness on for almost 2 years. In the beginning we had a accident where she panicked while the harness was on her neck. Started to fly all over the place and then almost hang herself. That trauma was a major roadblock for us for a looong time. But today, we went outside for the first time in a harness. How did i do it? I modified the harness, so that it was less scary for her. This is a tip for everyone strugling with harness training. It takes a lot of patience from the bird to stay calm while the owner is putting on the harness the old fashioned way. This was my solution to that. We went from hating harnes to being outside on walk(s) within a weekend. How to do it?
Step 1. Sew together a collar, that has a clip on / off attachment. It's just one string, not multiple like the regular harnes, so it's a lot easier for harness hating birds to stay calm. Practise putting on the collar. When the collar is on, click with the clicker in frequent intervals and give A LOT OF TREATS. When the birds is not afraid of the collar anymore (not flying around, not in a panick mode, rather just annoyed. My personal check point was when my gw was preening with the collar on i knew she was used to it). Putting on the collar and you pressing the clips and taking the collar of teaches the bird that you WILL take it off. This is super importnant, because this teaches the bird that you touching the collar means it's being taken off a good thing your fingers are not being assaulted.
Step 2. Sew together 2 more collars from the harness. (See picture) It's tested to be durable and safe, so in my opinion that was my go to material. I sacrifised 3 harnesses for these collars. The lenght of the collars should be adjustable, i took measurements from my macaws neck and chest and the distance between them with my hand, but make it adjustable, so you can tighten it as much as needed, once it's on. So to recap: 1 collar that should fit the neck, 1 collar that should fit the chest and 1 collar that should be the lenght of the distance between the previous 2.
Step 3. So now, the bird is ok comftorable with something being around it's neck and it comforable with you touching the collar. The next step is to "fool" the bird that you are about to take the collar on, but you put the chest piece on. Then unite the chest and neck piece and tadaa. You have a working harness. On a your bird eager to go outside. Now CLIP the leash on the uniting collar piece. And CLIP THE END OF THE LEASH TO YOUR TROUSERS BELT LOOP!! DO NOT TRUST YOUR ABILITY TO NOT LOSE THE LEASH FROM YOUR HAND ON YOUR FIRST OUTDOOR TRIP, IF YOUR BIRD DECIDES TO FLY. CLIP IT AND MAKE SURE IT'S SECURE.
After you make sure the collars are secure, and tight enough, the leash is secured to the middles collarpiece and the end of the leash is secured to your beltloop (thing, i dunno what it's called) you are free to adventure outside. Have fun!
Now after this your bird (being smart) knows that things being tied to hehis body means outside go and buy a regular harness and use it.

2024.05.26 12:28 Raptor_Wizard I have a question about pitch amd stuff

Ok. First of all I don't know much about this stuff but my friend recommended me to ask my question here.
So my friend in question is learning how to play a guitar and he was practising. He was trying to play Korobeiniki on his guitar when I noticed it was sounding a bit off. So I told him and he realized he was indeed reading it wrong. He told me that he didn't even notice and how was I able to notice it. I have a piano in my house as my parents wanted me to play piano since I was little but I never actually learned anything beyond the first few hours stuff like nursery rhymes etc. and it was almost 10 years ago. Anyways so I went and tried to show him the difference on my piano and found the first note. Then I was able to find every note with only a single wrong one without even looking at a sheet or knowing how to play it prior to that moment.
After that whole thing that happened he said I might have some sort of relative pitch or perfect pitch or something. I asked him what it is and if he has it. He told me that he doesn't have it and it's not common but he said he isn't qualified to tell me if I have one or not and suggested that I ask people with more experience on this subject. And so here I am. if anybody knows how can I test this or make sure please inform me.

2024.05.26 10:47 Abhyuday3 BITSAT session 1 over. Here's everything to do for BITSAT session 2.

Hey guys, your BITSAT session 1 is finally over. Some of you may have performed well, others not. For those who did perform well: Congrats, see you at Pilani! This post is meant specifically for those looking to significantly raise their scores in session 2.
Analyse your mistakes. What went wrong in the exam? It can be two things:
  1. You hadn't revised well, so there were a lot of questions you simply didn't "know"
  2. You got a lot of questions wrong due to the hurry; meaning, you couldn't balance speed with accuracy
Here's how to work on each of these:
For revision, it's pretty obvious: revise AS FREQUENTLY AS POSSIBLE. By the next BITSAT, you should have revised each chapter at least 3 times. What exactly do you revise? The formulae, and the questions you couldn't solve during practice. Remember that subsequent revisions take much less time than the initial ones.
Here's how to work on your speed+accuracy:
If your marks are less than 200, focus more on the studying and revision part. If you're scoring about 200-210, do not leave revision at all but balance it with the practising questions thing.
What are some doubts you have regarding the next session? Let us know here, or DM me or any of the mods. Do join our community BITSBuddies

2024.05.25 18:02 imangwy 1290 (610 maths and 680 R&W) on practise test 1

is it possible to get 1500+ by october's DSAT? my plan for math is:
  1. master khan academy maths
  2. work on my weaknesses with college panda
  3. do all the hard questions in the question bank
my plan for r&w is:
  1. master khan academy r&w (done)
  2. read erika meltzer grammar and do all the exercises
i'll start doing the other official bluebook practise tests from july (biweekly) until october, so i don't exhaust all of the practise material too fast.
would this get me a 1500+ score by october? what else should i include? how many hours per day should i study for it?
