Walking distance to Grand Central Station. But youll have to walk uphill 4 blocks if you have luggage.- Street parking on Sundays.- My Park Avenue view room had no USB ports, so a US Plug incl USB is required to charge equipment.- Wifi good enough for most folks.- We stayed on the second floor, which was surprisingly quiet. No Street noise to speak of.- Parking validated at Centerpark around corner $55/24h.- Very close to Grand Central and a short walk to the shuttle to Newark airport.

Being totally true to the original game, we would actually add these a week and half into the game after everyone had just been making up their troop numbers. What follows is a slightly modified form of the rules that were on the original wiki.

Code of Chivalry

YOU MUST READ THROUGH THESE RULES IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SUBREDDIT! THEY ARE VITAL TO KEEPING THE SUBREDDIT FUNCTIONING IN THE MOST IDEAL MANNER!

1) Time

Time in /westerospowers does not progress at the same rate as IRL. For more effective interaction, it is sped up.
1 day IRL = 2 months in WP
Like in /worldpowers, Sunday is not counted in WP, this is a day off where houses can post [NEWS] for the week relating to their holding. [EVENTS] cannot be created, nor [CONFLICTS]. Basically, no action other than [NEWS], [CLAIM] or [META] can take place on Sunday. In your post, put the WP time, not IRL time (for example) : 4 months . (this would be 2 days IRL)

2) Claiming

You can claim a holdfast and a house/faction, which will give you dominion over it's adjoining lands. For example; House Baratheon and Storm's End, or Vaes Dothrak and the Dothraki Sea. There cannot be more than one of each house, unless an agreement has been reached, and then no more than two. The two must also be easily distinguishable (i.e. Stannis/Renly Baratheon).

When you claim, use the [CLAIM] tag and state the house and holdfast in your title, and then use the description to tell us what you want your style to be (e.g. Kingslayer, Lion of the Rock, Red Viper, Mother of Dragons).
Once you claim a holdfast, we will do the best we can to quickly get it on the Claimed List. Remember, we fuck up too, so feel free to message the mods.
You may abandon your holdfast at any point in the game and claim another one. However, you will only be able to do so again after 1 month.
ORGANIZATIONS NOT MENTIONED IN THE LIST ARE NOT AVAILABLE CLAIMS. It doesn't matter if they exist in the ASOIAF universe, you cannot claim the Faceless Men or Sellsword Company #91238 if they're not listed.

3) Wiki

Once you claim a holdfast, we will make a wiki page for you. Make sure to include your title and , a brief description of your house, your prominent laws and regulations, and any alliances, or allegiances you have.

Please update your wiki, it makes it easier when people want to find out about your house for alliances/fealty etc.

4) Etiquette

POSTS
DO

Use a tag: [CLAIM], [EVENT], [EXPANSION], [CONFLICT], [NEWS], or [META].
Announce anything important, agreements, events, and make decrees. Celebrate or commiserate occasions, such as marriage contracts, welcoming a new sworn sword, mourning a death, completing construction, weddings, funerals, etc.

DO NOT

Be stupid. Play the game of thrones, be patient, forge alliances, and don't unveil your moves until it's too late. Open war is not always the most feasible option. .

5) Duel

[DUEL] will be used for starting duels. A duel will consist of a 1v1 battle between two characters. Each belligerent will post a role playing story of the last few minutes before the fight begins. The "home team" gets to make the first post so they can describe the location of the duel. The stories will be voted upon and the post with the most upvotes (not overall score because we're ignoring downvotes) will win. The winner will then post a [DUEL - RESOLVED] post that describes the fight. If a stories score doubles (minimum winner score 4) the other's the winner may kill the loser. Otherwise, all duels end with a capture or injury.

6) Conflict

It is natural that houses will wish to attack other houses for land and resources, or simply to keep things interesting. This is fine, but it is wise to consider diplomacy before calling the banners.

How do I create a Conflict?

Make a post using the [Conflict - Rally] tag declaring that you are rallying your allies. This step will be used for a lord to call his allies to rally on him for a coming battle. Any lords that wish to participate in a coming battle must respond to this post (with the amount of troops rallied) in order to be counted in the battle. Any forces that were loaned to a lord by an [Event] post can be rallied by the loanee. The opposing side in the conflict should create their own rally post. You can still choose to stand down from a rally.

[Conflict - Rally] The Riverlands call forth their banners against the false King!

If you wish to betray those who think you allies, Rally as normal for your supposed allies. Then send a message to the moderators with a [Conflict - Betrayal] tag. The mod will take your forces into account on the correct side.
When at least 24 IRL hours have passed since one of the Rallies, you may then commit your forces using a [CONFLICT - COMMIT]. This signals the attack; defenders can not commit. This sets the number of troops that will be on each side to whomever has rallied on each side. If one side does not create a Rally post it is assumed that they use their full local forces (i.e. those still in the holdfast). A mod will then create the next post.

[CONFLICT-COMMIT] MyHouse attacks ThatHouse

If you wish to retire from the field (i.e. if diplomacy succeeds or if you do not want to do battle), please create a [Rally - Release] post. This will count as your troops leaving the field, and neither army will be able to attack after that post has been made. Of course, if you retreat while defending a holdfast, the attackers can freely take it.

How does a conflict end?

Whichever team of countries has the most points from battles wins. If the loser does not surrender then the battle continues. If the conflict lasts for the full 6 days IRL, then the loser must agree to a fully unconditional surrender.
Another way for a conflict to end is if the attacker calls off the conflict or if the holdfast invaded surrenders or they both come up with a peaceful treaty to end the war.

What happens after a Conflict where a winner is declared at the end?

The losing ruler has two options:

a) The less honourable course: They may rule their holdfast under the authority of the winner by pledging fealty, and becoming vassals. This means they must give their allegiance to the winning house. However, the loser can plot to overthrow the winner, but obviously must find the support to do it. The victor lays claim to the conquered land. The losing ruler still has control of the land, however, will be under control of the victor and will need to report to the victor as the victor may veto any decision the losing ruler makes
b) The honourable way: They may be destroyed by the winning house, root and stem. The losing house will be completely eradicated. The disputed lands will go to the winning house.
If a person's house has been eradicated (i.e. House Reyne), they may claim a new one after 7 days.

6) Expansion

General Guidelines

Because we recognize the reality that houses are going to want to annex unclaimed holdfasts for more land, we are making imperialism to a certain degree allowed.

YOU CANNOT ANNEX WHOLE COUNTRIES! This doesn't include small islands. We will only allow territories or regions, like Winterfell taking White Harbour.
Small regions are eligible for imperialism, but if your annexation of territory starts to become unreasonable, we will force you to renounce your annexation or just delete your post. Please try to keep it to a reasonable size.
If you claimed a small region at first and want to annex another, message the mods. We will evaluate your request and see if you can take control of another small area.
If you try to claim the entire North, you are going to have a bad time! Be reasonable and realistic, only take over small regions.
Any region that is under the control of a claimed holdfast (read: imperialized) cannot be taken over by someone else.
If you win a war against a house with imperialized territories, the conflict rules apply to the territories as well (refer back to War).
Abandoned/revoked holdfasts belong to the liege lord. If no new player tries to claim them in 3 days, the liege lord is free to give them away. If there's no liege lord, the city/castle will become available in the claim list.

How to Imperialize

If you are declaring an annexation, use the tag [EXPANSION]. We will also put a list in the wiki of Annexed Territories. This is how you should go through your annexation:
1) [EXPANSION] House A will be sending delegates over to Holdfast X to discuss fealty.

Put the proposed terms of your annexation as well as an explanation for it

2) [EXPANSION] Holdfast X has agreed to swear fealty to House A

Describe any changes to the region annexed.

7) Mod-Injected Crises

Every now and then, because we are bored, we will make up a realistic crisis with a [CRISIS] tag. This can be an economic recession, natural disaster, or a magical threat.
Each faction is encouraged to react to the crisis in the comments. You can say what your house is doing for recovery, if it will provide aid, how it affected you, etc.

8) Money

Please just be realistic. We aren't going to place limits because we want you guys to have fun, but if you donate 40 trillion gold dragons then obviously we will not allow it. Be aware of your house's economic situation, and just be realistic.

9) Inactivity

To make sure houses don't become dormant, we will be enforcing active participation.
TO BE CONSIDERED ACTIVE YOU MUST MAKE AT LEAST ONE [EVENT] PER WEEK
You must also participate in News Days and post your [News] on Sundays
If you fail to do so and it comes to our attention, then you will be given 1 day's notice before we default your house.

Let the mods know if you will be away for an extended period of time. If you have sufficient reason for your absence, and give a date when you will be able to return, the above does not apply for that time. Arrangements must also be made by the player regarding the temporary ownership of your holdfast. If these conditions are not met, the house may still be defaulted.
These land combat rules are taken from /essospowers, which we originally took from /westerospowers (the original set has been deleted).

Starting a Conflict

Normally all conflicts must begin with a [CONFLICT - RALLY] post. This post represents a host bringing their forces together for a fight. Normally at least 12 IRL hours must pass before a commit post is made.
If the two sides agree, or if a mod makes a ruling, you may skip straight to the commit phase.
The [CONFLICT - COMMIT] post indicates that the attack has been launched by the poster.
The mods will then make a [CONFLICT-SCORE] post ASAP. This conflict score post will use the below rules to declare a victor.

Fighting the Conflict
We will be using simple 6 sided dies (d6), 3 sided dies (d3), and 5 sided dies (d5) to represent combat. We have a bot perform these rolls. The number of which will be decided like this

In our example battle we have the following two sides: Side 1 consists of 1,000 men. Side 2 consists of 500 men.
Add both sides together to get the full number of troops in the battle, then divide each side's forces by that number to see the percentages. For example, a battle of 1,000 vs. 500 would be 66% and 33% respectively.
Each side's percentages will be rounded to the nearest 5%, so in this example it would be 65% and 35%. Each side will receive 1d6 for every 10%, any remaining 5% will give a 1d3. In the above example,the Side 1 (65%) force will receive 6d6 + 1d3. Side 2 (35%) will receive 3d6 + 1d3.
The results of the rolls will be added to create the initial score. The defender during a siege will receive a bonus to the their initial score equal to the defense value of the battle site. In this example, Side 2 will have a defense value of 4. The final result of all modifiers is the Battle Score.

Note: Defense bonus is based on the location of the defender and added to the end of the final total
Final = Total of Dice + Bonus
Note: Half the Defense value is added to the total dice sides. So a defense rating of 6 would add 3 making a D6 a D9.
In this example let's assume the following rolls:

Side 1 (1,000, 65%): 1, 5, 4, 6, 3, 6, +2 (from the 1d3)
Side 2 (500 , 35%): 3, 6, 6, +1 (from the 1d3), +4 (from defense)
Side 1 Battle Score: 25
Side 2 Battle Score: 20

Side 1 wins by 5!
During a battle in the open field this usually means the losing side is routed or retreats. During a siege the battle will continue until either side gives in or runs out of troops.
Note: Tie Goes To the Defender
Determining Casualties
Causalities will be determined as follows:
For the smaller army the average of all d6 rolls will be averaged together (round normally). In the above example that would result in an average of 5 ((6 + 6 + 3) / 3) kill dice for side 2. This determines how many kill dice (d5s) will be rolled for enemy causalities.
For the larger army, the highest d6 rolls equal to the amount of the smaller armies rolls will be averaged. In the above example that would mean the 3 highest (6,6,5) rolls would be averaged together for a result of 5.67, rounded to 6. The larger army (side 1) will roll 6d5 kill dice.
These d5 represent the percentage of causalities the opposing side will suffer. The winner will receive a bonus to their kill results equal to the amount of points they win by (in this example 6).

Side 1 kill dice results: ( 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 1) = 8 + 5 (excess battle score) = 13
Side 2 kill dice results: ( 5, 2, 4, 3, 4) = 18

Those numbers represent how much of the opposing army is out of the fight (dead, injured, or captured). In this battle Side 1 won the battle, but Side 2 was able to cause a higher percentage of causalities.
18% x 1,000 = 180 troops out of the fight
13% x 500 = 65 troops out of the fight
What happens next
In an open field battle, the loser retreats and is run from the field. In a defense, another phase of battle will be run until either side gives in.
The mod running the battle will give a short blurb on what occurs in the fight. For this one, I would say something like:

Despite many casualties, Side 1 was able to get over the city's walls. Side 1 takes the inner side of the walls while Side 2 decides to continue the battle in the city streets.

Basically, these two live in a alternative world who is divided in two civilizations: the rich people, who live in floating cities and/or high mountains, and the people who have less condition and live on the other places, and arent allowed to go on the "Upper civilization". They often live in poverty, have no wi-fi or phone signal, and are called the "Lower civilization". Gummy (nickname, his real name might be a secret) is a ex-military who used to work on special operations on the Upper Civilization, until some issues happened and he decided to flee and live on the Lower Civilization, working as a local mechanic, fixing cars and absolutely everything, while also having a cool collection of many things (including firearms). Tobi is a young girl he adopted after finding her on the corner of a street as a baby, he decided he couldnt just leave her there, so he became some sort of adoptive father for her, but also a best friend.
They two are very close and often have little adventures together (such as going camping on a forest and driving very very fast on abandoned roads), being both father-daughter, and cool buddies.
Tobi has a very "unique" personality, having many interests (like being very interested on mushrooms, and almost eating a toxic one once), she is very outgoing and curious, loving to roam around, explore and collect things she finds cool, ranging from rocks to flowers. She is very covered in bruises by being a little reckless and putting herself in danger sometimes, even if she doesnt even bother getting hurt. Tobi has a small snack store where she sells many sweets, chips and things for really good prices, and she treats it more as a cool hobby (and a opportunity to eat lots of snacks)
Gummy has a kind of mysterious past that no one asks about, he is well known on the small city they live in for being a extroverted and cool guy, who isnt scared of anything and can fix absolutely anything, ranging from toys to broken cars. Its easy to have a good chat with him, and he is a big guy with a big heart.

LOOOONG first time trip report! 5/13-5/18, stayed at Beach Club, visited all four parks, bought Genie+ every day, had the standard DDP. Family of 4, two girls 5 and 9. I learned so much from this group over the past year and especially loved trip reports, so hopefully this post will be helpful to someone!
💲BUDGET💲
-- I booked the trip a year out so I could break it up into 12 manageable payments. I opened the no fee Disney VISA, which gives you several months of no interest on charges made towards Disney travel packages, rewards dollars to use at Disney, and a couple other perks like character meet and greets and discounts.
-- I signed up for Disney Movie Insiders. This is what you're supposed to do with all those little codes that come in Disney DVDs/Blurays. You enter the codes in exchange for points, and at 1000 points, you can redeem for a $10 Disney gift card. You also get points for being subscribed to Disney+, seeing Disney movies in the theater, their social media accounts, and a whole bunch of other things. I got $50 in gift cards from this alone.
-- If you want Disney-themed luggage, try thinking outside the box to save money! I got plain luggage in Mickey colors--red and black--and Mickey luggage tags to make them Disney themed.
-- I tried to budget for souvenirs via gift cards... but I failed, lol. Everything is so expensive, $100 is gone in a second. Plushes are like $40, coffee cups are $20, etc. Whatever you're planning to spend, double it! I get what people say about most shops having the same stuff, but it's definitely not all of them, most of the ones post-ride have unique stuff. And honestly it's kind of nice most of them have the same stuff, if you want to get whatever your kid was asking for earlier, you don't have to walk all the way back to the one shop you saw it at.
-- We paid for Memory Maker and I'm on the fence about it. On the one hand, it's really nice to get all the ride photos and meet and greet photos and magic shots. It's also really nice for the whole family to be in a lot of pictures and not have to swap with the other adult or find someone willing to take your picture. On the other, we definitely didn't utilize it as much as I wanted to because a lot of the photographers had pretty long lines and I just didn't want to spend time waiting for a picture I could take myself. If we came across someone with a shortish or no line, we made sure to get it, but for anyone with a long line, we just stood around the same spot and took our own.
🗓️PLANNING🗓️
-- If you have kids and live within easy driving distance of another amusement park, highly recommend making a visit BEFORE going to Disney to get an idea of how they handle that kind of day/environment, especially if they have never been. I quickly discovered we would absolutely need a stroller and I would need to be militant with the kids about staying hydrated. Also to avoid face paint, as heat + tears + paint + eyes = bad day! I felt so much better making these discoveries beforehand and being able to prepare accordingly, rather than making them at Disney.
-- USE AN AGENT! An agent is free to you, so why not have the help? Ours was amazing, she gave us quotes, booked the package, rebooked as needed later when a better deal came out, made all the payments, dining and extra reservations, and was just all-around awesome to work with. It was such a load off to know I wasn't on my own with all this stuff.
-- Watch everything Ear Scouts. No one explains Genie+ better, and Rob and Erick's videos are just so positive and beautiful and well done.
-- I also enjoyed reading Disney Tourist Blog--lovingly snarky but super informative!--and Disney Food Blog for fun tips and news.
-- I didn't find any park to be a half day park, we filled our whole day in every one and still didn't see everything!
-- My kids did really well, whenever they were on the verge of cranky, we had one ride in the stroller for a while, bought a snack (usually ice cream or popcorn), and used the bubble wand, and/or gave them some ibuprofen, and everyone felt better pretty quick. We never tried to do fireworks, we were all done by 8 so always left after dinner. The only park we closed down was EPCOT because we didn't get out of dinner until after close, and that was a really cool experience, the park was so quiet and empty and beautiful!
-- You don't NEED a Magic Band... but man, was it convenient. We just had 1.0 Magic Bands though, we didn't bother with the 2.0s.
-- I guess moving through security fast is important to people rope dropping... but as someone who didn't, it added like maybe 30 seconds to a minute to the experience the couple times my bag got flagged, it's really not a big deal.
-- I'm not saying anyone's lying about bad experiences or exaggerating or anything, but try to remember that far more people go on the Internet to complain than they do to praise. I got so stressed about all the things that could go wrong, and we had a pretty much perfect trip. The only attraction that broke down on us was Muppetvision, of all things. The only "bad behavior" we witnessed was the morning we were leaving, we could hear a dad across the hall yelling at his family, I think they overslept and were going to miss their flight or something? We just turned the TV on so we didn't have to hear him. A couple times we forgot to take our stuff with us when we parked our stroller or forgot some food in it, and neither people nor animals bothered it. The only dicey thing that happened to us was me dropping my phone into the Dumbo moat, the cast members fished it out and it still worked, I sent them a cast compliment for all their help! All the cast members were great, I'm not really sure what people expect but IMO they all do amazing for having to be peppy and helpful all day in absolutely blazing heat, walking a ride conveyer belt nonstop, repeating the same spiels over and over, meeting person after person, etc. I wouldn't last a 2 hour shift let alone 8. Cast members, you rock!!!
✈️TRAVEL✈️
-- We flew Delta, flight there was flawless, flight home was delayed by an hour waiting for crew and was a little bumpy (which is not great for a nervous flyer like me) but otherwise fine.
-- Get TSA PreCheck! Good for a few years, if the adults have it the kids have it too. It made the whole experience so much easier. That said, even PreCheck still moves kind of slow at MCO, so definitely get there at least 2 hours early for your flight. Use curbside check-in for bags, way faster than the long line inside!
-- On our agent's recommendation, we used Away We Go for ground transport in Orlando. They communicate really well, both ways were flawless, no complaints!
-- We used Minnie Vans to get to Animal Kingdom + Sanaa and Magic Kingdom, what a wonderful service! Definitely pricey, but they had cartoons on in the car, booster seats they set up for you, and the drivers were so nice and friendly and had fun trivia to share. I never had any problem requesting one when I needed it.
⛱️BEACH CLUB⛱️
-- We knew we wanted an onsite hotel where you could walk to at least one park. This pretty much limits you to a handful of Deluxe hotels or the Swan and Dolphin. Beach Club won for us because it's "in the Disney bubble" and you can walk to 2/4 parks. Note that while you can technically walk to Hollywood Studios, it is a LOOOONG walk. The boat is a nice not crowded alternative! We did not make use of Early Entry or Extended Hours, we're just not built for either. Beach Club was lovely, we booked a resort view but I think we ended up with a water view, we were right by the quiet pool and could see the water beyond from our room. Stormalong Bay was a little crazy for us but we loved the quiet pool. Best thing about Beach Club though is the location, EPCOT is literally steps away!
🌳ANIMAL KINGDOM🌳
-- We had read that there's really no bad day to do AK, so we started there. We rode: Navi River Journey, Flight of Passage, Kali River Rapids, Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Triceratops Spin, and Dinosaur--so pretty much everything! With Genie+ we walked onto all of them. We also met Moana, Pocahontas, and Russell! The only thing we didn't do here that we wanted to was the Gorilla Falls trail, but we just ran out of time before the park closed.
🌐EPCOT🌐
-- We had read to avoid EPCOT on Fridays and Saturdays, so we went on Wednesday. We rode: Grand Fiesta Tour, Living with the Land, Nemo, Spaceship Earth, Imagination with Figment, Frozen, Remy, Journey of Water, and Guardians--everything we wanted! Again, with Genie+, we walked right onto everything! We also met Anna and Elsa! Tried a couple of Flower and Garden snacks: chicken and waffles, fruit and cheese strudel, and potato pancakes, all were delicious! Everyone had a different favorite day, but EPCOT was personally my favorite day, it felt like we were firing on all cylinders and the day just went really smoothly!
🏰MAGIC KINGDOM🏰
-- We had read that Wednesdays were the quietest days at MK, so we were originally going to try to do it that day, but we could only get a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table on Thursday, so we switched it up. Definitely the most crowded of all the parks we visited, but I think that's just the norm for MK, everyone wants to go to the castle park with the most rides. We rode: Regal Carousel, Tomorrowland Speedway, Barnstormer, Magic Carpets, Mad Tea Party, People Mover, Dumbo, Small World, Little Mermaid, Pirates, Space Ranger Spin, Jungle Cruise, TRON, and Peter Pan. Again, with Genie+, we walked right onto everything! The only ride we missed at this park that we wanted to do was Pooh, I couldn't manage to get a return time that was earlier than we planned on leaving. Outside of our character meals (more on those in the dining section!) we also met Mirabel, Tiana, and Rapunzel! We had both the Rapunzel and Aurora ice creams, both so good and cute!
🎬HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS🎬
-- We had read that, like MK, it's better to do HS later in the week, so we went Friday. We rode: Slinky, Alien Saucers, Toy Story Mania, Rise, Smuggler's Run, Runaway Railway. Again, with Genie+, we walked right onto everything! The only ride we missed was Tower of Terror, again I couldn't manage to get a return time that was earlier than we planned on leaving. We also met Olaf, be aware Olaf doesn't sign stuff, they just give you a signature card. This park needs more shade IMO, especially Toy Story Land, I know it's supposed to be Andy's backyard, but I don't see why that means we can't have some shade from trees or something. 🤪 Blue milk from Galaxy's Edge was really good, the family was all fighting over it!
🍽️DINING🍽️
-- We almost certainly lost some money on the DDP, but I'm still glad we got it because it allowed us to do more table service meals and have less stress overall about expenses. We easily used up everything but child quick service credits, we had a few of those left over near the end.
Here's where we ate!
BOARDWALK DELI/PIZZA WINDOW: Pizza for the kids, sandwiches for the adults. Tasty and satisfying after our day of travel!
BEACHES AND CREAM: Got the kitchen sink for the experience, but honestly it's not great, all the ice cream and toppings melt together quick and you just end up with weird ice cream soup.
SAT'ULI CANTEEN: LOVED this place, everything was so yummy! Best quick service we had!
SANAA: Since Animal Kingdom closes so early, we thought we'd try to extend the experience by eating at Sanaa. What a great idea, we got seated right by a window and saw so many animals! The food was great too.
AKERSHUS: Our favorite princess meal! We met Aurora, Tiana, Snow White, Ariel, and Belle. They were all lovely, and the breakfast was really good too. Only 1 credit on the DDP!
GARDEN GRILL: Our kids really enjoyed getting to look down over Living with the Land and the fact that the restaurant spins. We met Farmer Mickey, Pluto, and Chip and Dale. They were fun and even came to our table more than once. Food was good!
SPACE 220: Not on the DDP, but wow, what a cool restaurant! Almost like a ride with the theming and the elevator up. Food was really good.
CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE: You gotta eat in the castle! We paid for it OOP because we didn't want to use up 2 DDP credits here. You're really going for the location and the princesses, the food is kinda meh, not bad but not as good as other places. The restaurant is small and they have to turn tables quick, so it's very understandable to me that the princesses have to move fast. It's not that they rush you, they'll take all the pictures you ask for and sign whatever and answer your questions, but if you don't have much you need, they try to keep moving. Akershus is much bigger so they are able to be more relaxed there. The only small bummer is that we didn't see Merida (maybe she was on vacation too!) We did meet Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, and Aurora though!
CRYSTAL PALACE: We are not big on buffets but we enjoyed meeting Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger!
TOPOLINO'S: Maybe the best food of the trip, steak and eggs were so good! The character artist costumes are so cute too. It was fun to have an excuse to ride the Skyliner to get here from Beach Club too.
DOCKING BAY 7: The theming is great, but the food wasn't as good as Satuli Canteen IMO.
THE MARKET AT ALE & COMPASS: We had quick service credits we wanted to use up on the last day and we didn't want to leave the resort again, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else, food was meh.
✨EXTRAS✨
-- I originally wanted to book Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my kids, but it's so expensive/competitive that I decided to didn't want the stress. Instead I booked Have Wand, Will Travel to come to our room and bought dresses from Presley Couture and Only Little Once. I chose Have Wand, Will Travel because they keep character throughout. Fairy Godmother Elyse was amazing and so much fun, my kids loved it and kept talking about it all day!
-- That same morning I ordered a Sammicakes breakfast box with beignets for us to eat. I also ordered a pretend letter from Tiana on Etsy to make it seem like the breakfast came from Tiana. My kids also loved this and had fun telling Tiana about it both times we met her. Sammicakes was good but a LOT of food, sadly we didn't end up eating half of it. It can last you at least 3 days!

-- Things the Internet Told Me to Pack that I Didn't Need: stainless steel straws (the paper straws are more like cardboard, they really don't break down unless your kid is gnawing on them or something), ponchos (it did rain some most days, but wearing a poncho was almost more miserable than not wearing one, it's so hot and humid to be walking around in a plastic bag! We did better taking shelter and using umbrellas.), wipes (obv you need them if your kid is younger, but mine were older and just never got messy enough to need them.), glow sticks (we never stayed anywhere long enough to use them.) Basically, the less you can get away carrying in the parks, the better. It's annoying to lug stuff around you don't end up needing or using!
🛞STROLLER🛞
-- I know it seems insane that your 5 year old and 9 year old will need a stroller, but mine definitely did. Once I accepted that I was going to have to get one, I tried to make the best of it, and actually got really into decorating it so we could always easily spot it in the sea (the decorations also later made nice wall decor for a gallery of our trip!) The Magic Spotter flag was the best investment, hardly anyone had them so it was easy to instantly spot our stroller anywhere we left it, even if it got moved. That said, I definitely didn't want to spend a lot on a stroller we were really only buying for this one trip, so I got a used Joovy Caboose on Facebook Marketplace for $50. It was very hard to handle with two older kids in it, and even with one it was hard to handle unless the kid was in the back seat. So we basically used it like a single stroller, glad I didn't spend a lot on it since it was so hard to drive!
☔WEATHER☔
-- We had mostly great weather, it rained some every day except Magic Kingdom day but it passed within an hour each time. We wore socks with Crocs so that if/when it rained, we could just take our wet socks off and walk in our Crocs, this worked great! Don't trust the weather reports though, two days it wasn't supposed to rain. One day it actually didn't, the other day it did and we had to walk in wet shoes because we didn't wear the Crocs that day. Just figure it might rain any day and be prepared! See above note RE: ponchos being not great and shelter + umbrellas being better. When it didn't rain, It. Was. Hot. 🥵 In the 90s but definitely felt hotter with the humidity making it so sticky. We felt there was plenty of shade at Animal Kingdom and EPCOT, but hardly any at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, which I would say slightly affected how much fun we had on those days comparatively.

Hello everyone! Here is the Second Half of the guide. I hope everyone enjoys the guide and please let me know if you have any suggestions, fixes or feedback!

First Half

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Quest Cleanup Nepheli/Dung EateSeluvis

Note: You can complete Seluvis' Quest by giving the potion to Nepheli, but this guide will follow the path that gives the most rewards, specifically 2 Ancient Smithing Stones and a Puppet vs just a Puppet. This path will lock out one of the game's endings, but it's an ending that isn't required for an Achievement.

From the Fallen Ruins of the Lake Grace: Head West to talk with Varre and receive the Lord of Blood's Favor.
From the Foot of the Four Belfries Grace: Head North-East up to the top of the mountain and grab the Four Belfries Grace.
Open the chest nearby to get an Imbued Sword Key.
Use the Imp Statue North-East that has the message "Precipice of Anticipation" written nearby.
Enter the portal to reach the Chapel of Anticipation.
Kill the boss if you didn't at the start of the game.
Head South across the bridge and up the stairs.
Enter the small doorway to the North-West to grab The Stormhawk King
Go into the building and jump down then interact with the dead finger maiden to dye the Lord of Blood's Favor.
From the Fallen Ruins of the Lake Grace: Head West to talk with Varre and receive the Bloody Finger.
Talk with Varre again to receive the Pureblood Knight's Medal
Use the Pureblood Knight's Medal to enter Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum
Head South-West to grab the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance Grace
Follow the path South up the stairs and proceed as desired until you grab the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Grace on the other end of the cave.
Go back into the cave and Invade White Mask Varre
Talk with Varre to receive Varre's Bouquet
From the Roundtable Hold: Talk with the Finger Reader and purchase Radahn's Lion Armor from her.
Go into the room past the Twin Maiden Husks to talk with the Dung-Eater and exhaust his dialogue to receive the Sewer-Gaol Key
Head down the stairs past Blacksmith Hewg and talk with Nepheli.
Talk with Gideon about Nepheli
Return to Nepheli to exhaust her dialogue and give her The Stormhawk King. Be careful not to click too fast or you could accidentally give her the potion instead.
From the Godrick the Grafted Grace: Rest at the grace, then rest at it again(Gostoc will disappear)
Go North-West and talk with Nepheli to receive Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone
Talk with Gostoc nearby to have access to purchase another Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
From the Avenue Balcony Grace: Go down the stairs then jump over the railing to the West onto the roof.
Jump down and go around the building to the North-West to find a well.
Go down the well and continue forward until you grab the Underground Roadside Grace.
Leave the room and go North to jump down the hole on the left to enter a sewer tunnel filled with rats.
Follow the path North-West then South-West past the rats and flowers to climb the ladder.
Open the cell and talk with Dung-Eater to release him.
From the Outer Wall Battleground Grace: Head South-East up the stairs and keep heading East past the graveyard.
Follow the road South-East down the slope to the pond.
Head West to the other side of the pond and talk with Blackguard Big Boggart to buy a Boiled Crab and exhaust his dialogue.
Reload and talk with Blackguard Big Boggart again to receive Iron Ball and Blackguard's Iron Mask
Kill the Dung Eater Invader for the Sword of Milos.
From the Roundtable Hold: Talk with the Dung-Eater and exhaust his dialogue.
From the Underground Roadside Grace: Follow the same path as before to the cell where you found the Dung-Eater.
Talk with the Dung-Eater to Administer Seluvis's Potion. Again, be careful not to click too fast or you could give him the Seedbed Curse.
Once you are no longer able to talk with him, kill him to receive the Omen Armor Set. You will still have access to the puppet.
From Ranni's Rise Grace: Head South-East to Seluvis's Rise and talk with Seluvis. You can now learn Sorcery from him.
Talk with him about his chambers and choose the Jarwight Puppet as it is the more expensive of the 2.
Reload and talk with him then reload and talk with him again to purchase Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet.
Talk with him again to ask about his scheme and give him the Amber Starlight Shard.
Talk with him again to receive the Magic Scorpion Charm

Quest Cleanup Rennala/Sellen/Boc/Fia/Ranni

From Ranni's Rise: Go up the lift and talk with Ranni to give her the Fingerslayer Blade and receive the Carian Inverted Statue.
From Royal Moongazing Grounds: Head North-West to Renna's Rise and go up the ladder to grab the Snow Witch Armor Set from the chest behind you.
Continue up to use the portal and grab the Miniature Ranni from the coffin in front of you.
Go South and grab the Ainsel River Main Grace
Rest at the Grace and talk to the miniature Ranni 3 times.
Follow the path South-West and stick to the river then through the doorway of the building to grab the Nokstella, Eternal City Grace
Continue following the river West to find the lift in the final building on the left.
Take the lift down to grab the Nokstella Waterfall Basin Grace
Go through the small tunnel South-West to kill the Baleful Shadow and receive the Discarded Palace Key
Continue through the doorway South-West and take the lift down to grab the Lake of Rot Shoreside Grace
Proceed across the Lake of Rot as desired to the far South-West and grab the Grand Cloister Grace.
From the Agheel Lake South Grace: Follow the road North and into the basement of the Waypoint Ruins to kill the Mad Pumpkin Head boss.
Grab the Waypoint Ruins Cellar Grace
Open the nearby door and ask to learn Sorcery from Sellen
Show Azur's sorcery to Sellen, ask for her story and journey together with her.
Talk to Sellen about her favor to receive the Sellian Sealbreaker
From the Church of the Plague Grace: Head North-East up the slope and attack the illusory wall behind the large grave to reveal a cave
Grab the Sellia Hideaway Grace
Proceed through the cave as desired and interact with the seal at the bottom of the crevice.
Talk with Lusat to receive the Stars of Ruin
From the Waypoint Ruins Cellar: Talk with Sellen and tell her Lusat's location to receive a Starlight Shard.
Talk with Sellen about her request.
From the Bridge of Sacrifice Grace: Head West over the rocks and follow along the edge of the forest going very far West to the cliffs just past the ruins.
Make your way up the cliffs, going North when possible to find the church and grab the Church of Pilgrimage Grace.
Head far South-West, past the ruins and the evergaol to find the second church and grab the Fourth Church of Marika Grace.
Go South and enter the basement of the Witchbane Ruins to talk with Sellen and receive Sellen's Primal Glintstone then exhaust her dialogue.
Reload and talk with Jerren
From Ranni's Rise: Head North-East into the basement of the ruins where you found Seluvis' puppets and interact with Sellen to give her Sellen's Primal Glintstone.
From the Raya Lucaria Grand Library Grace: Open the chest nearby to receive the Dark Moon Ring
Talk with Rennala and buy a rebirth to receive the Balled Up Emote.
Go through the doors South-East and pick a sign to use. This guide will assume Sellen's as it offers more rewards and has extra steps to complete but if you choose to help Jerren, kill him afterwards for his armor.
Defeat Jerren to receive the Eccentric's Armor Set
Talk with Sellen to receive the Glintstone Kris and purchase Shard Spiral from her.
Reload and grab the Witch's Glintstone Crown from nearby
Head South-East through the doors and down the elevator
Continue South-East into the other building and use the portal North-East to grab the Church of Vows Grace
Open the chest in the church to receive the Gold Sewing Needle and the Golden Tailoring Tools
Talk with Miriel nearby and give him the Golden Order Principia
Purchase the Law of Regression from Miriel
Follow the road East, then South-East to grab the Eastern Tableland Grace
Continue following the road South to grab the Study Hall Entrance Grace
Use the Carian Inverted Statue on the altar.
Proceed through the Carian Study Hall as desired to grab the Liurnia Tower Bridge Grace
Head East across the bridge to kill the Godskin Noble and receive the Godskin Noble Armor Set
Continue East through the doors and up the lift to grab the Divine Tower of Liurnia Grace
Go up the stairs and grab the Cursemark of Death and Stargazer Heirloom
From the Primeval Sorcerer Azur Grace: Grab the Azur Armor Set from where you found him
From the Sellia Hideaway Grace: Grab the Lusat Armor Set from where you found him
From the East Capital Rampart Grace: Talk with Boc and exhaust his dialogue to give him the Gold Sewing Needle.
Talk to Boc about his favor and grant his request to receive the My Lord Emote
From the Prince of Death's Throne Grace: Talk with Fia and ask her to hold you
Talk with Fia as she holds you to give her the Cursemark of Death and receive the Radiant Baldachin's Blessing then keep talking with Fia to exhaust her dialogue
Reload and talk with her again
Reload once more and interact with her to kill the Lichdragon Fortissax.
Grab the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince from Fia.
Reload to grab Fia's Armor Set
Kill D, Beholder of Death to retrieve the Twinned Armor Set you lent him and take Inseparable Sword as interest.
From the Grand Cloister Grace: Make your way down South-West to use the coffin
Kill Astel, Naturalborn of the Void and grab the Grace.
Head North-East into the tunnel and use the lift to grab the Moonlight Altar Grace
Follow the road North-East to the cathedral and grab the Cathedral of Manus Celes Grace.
Grab all of the Starlight Shards nearby for later.
Drop down into the hole and give Ranni the ring.
Talk with Ranni to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword.
From the Ranni's Rise Grace: Head outside and defeat Blaidd to receive Blaidd's Armor Set and the Royal Greatsword.
Go South to Seluvis's Rise to grab the Preceptor Set and purchase the Dung Eater Puppet from Seluvis's corpse
Follow the cliff East and hop down to the bottom to find Pidia and receive the Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet.
From the Road to the Manor Grace: Talk with Iji and tell him of Blaidd's death.
Reload to grab Iji's Mirrorhelm

Intelligence Required

Make sure to have the capability to get at least 37 Intelligence, even if just temporary. You can buff to this much even at 7 Intelligence, which is the lowest possible from Starting Class. Intelligence Boosts:

Quest Progression Brother Corhyn/Goldmask/Hyetta

From the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace: Equip the Law of Regression and prepare any necessary buffs to get to 37 Intelligence.
Head West and go down the lift then the stairs to find a message that says "Regression alone reveals secrets"
Stand on the message and cast Law of Regression to see the statue change then read the new message in front of you.
From the West Capital Rampart Grace: Follow the path South-East past the branches and up the cliff continuing South-East to talk with Brother Corhyn about Goldmask
Tell Goldmask the Truth to receive the Golden Order Totality Emote
Talk with Brother Corhyn again to exhaust his dialogue.
From the Underground Roadside Grace: Enter the hole that you went down on your way to the Dung Eater's prison cell.
Run past the rats and enter the sewer pipe on the right.
Run past the slugs, avoiding falling down the holes, until your reach an intersection with an open tunnel and a gate with no door
Go right through the gate with no door and defeat the big guys to climb the ladder
Use the lever to open the shortcut just in case
Open the door and drop down to the left.
Follow this path until you see a giant flower below you and instead turn around to go into the path under the stairs.
Follow this path to the end to kill another big guy and climb another ladder
Open the shortcut door just in case
On the bridge before the shortcut door, go up the pipe and follow it to the end.
Drop down to the left and jump onto the wooden walkway to go through the doorway.
Kick the ladder to your left to lower it for an alternative route, just in case
Jump down into the pipe below to see two paths. Go the path that does NOT have the gate with no door. You should see a rat on the correct path.
Follow this path forward and jump over the first hole to fight a giant rat.
Past the giant rat is a second hole that you should fall into. You can see a corpse with an item inside this hole.
Open the shortcut gate nearby, just in case.
Continue going down the path to climb down a ladder.
Use the nearby lift to grab the Forsaken Depths Grace
Go down the path North-East and kill Mohg, the Omen and grab the Cathedral of the Forsaken Grace
Hit the altar and parkour your way to the bottom to grab the Frenzied Flame Proscription Grace.

WARNING: From here you have a choice. If you grab the Frenzied Flame then you will be locked out of all other endings unless you do ALL of the following:

Help Millicent
Defeat Malenia
Defeat Placidusax

If you are confident you can do that, or want the Frenzied Flame Ending, then go ahead and proceed with this section. Otherwise you can wait until you have done all 3 of the above and come back at any time. So proceed at your own risk!

From the Frenzied Flame Proscription Grace: Strip yourself of all equipment and interact with the door.
Talk with Hyetta and exhaust her dialogue for the Frenzied Flame Seal

Mountaintops of the Giants

From the Avenue Balcony Grace: Follow the road North-East and open the giant door
Go up the stairs heading South-East and use the lift to reach the top

Hello everyone! I know it's been a long time but with the DLC on the way and work slowing down for a bit, I've decided to start writing guides again. With the DLC a month away, I've decided to focus my efforts on guides that will help prepare for the DLC and have a few others that are just about ready as well.
With all of the patches over the years, the questlines have been changes fairly significantly. It is now nearly impossible to "break" any questlines by accident but many of my previous guides were made to avoid that happening. Given that, they have lost some of their purpose and aren't as optimal as they previously were. I have went through the game again and learned all of the new tricks to optimize the questlines so that you can take the least amount of steps possible to receive all of the questlines best rewards.
So what this guide is meant for is to help with getting characters through the game with all of the unique quest rewards as optimally as possible. So there should be nothing unnecessary within this guide and it will take you from location to location without consideration for level or build. Given that, you may need to do side objectives and leveling for your personal run, but you can just continue following from where you left off. Due to Reddit's character limit, I have to separate this guide into two parts but both halves are already available.

Second Half

Grab the First Step Grace once you enter Limgrave
Head South-East to grab the Seaside Ruins Grace
Head East to grab the Agheel Lake South Grace
Rest at the Grace to receive Torrent
Cross the bridge South-East to grab the Bridge of Sacrifice Grace
Talk to Irina nearby and get the letter from her.
From the Agheel Lake South Grace: Head South-East and use the Spirit Jump to grab the Starlight Shard from the stone astrolabe nearby.
Head North and use the Spirit Jump to get down into the forest below.
Head North-East until you hear howling from the nearby ruin
Head South-East to grab the Fort Haight West Grace
Go inside Fort Haight to kill the Knight at the top and grab the Dectus Medallion (Left)
From the First Step Grace: Head North to grab the Church of Elleh Grace
Fast Travel to the Church of Elleh Grace and talk to Witch Renna to get the Spirit Calling Bell and Spirit Wolf Ashes

Let him hit you to below half HP to get the Extreme Repentance Emote
Either Die or use the Extreme Repentance Gesture near him to stop hostilities.
Reload and talk to him again to get permission to open the chest nearby. Open it to enter the Mistwood Ruins.
Head North-East to grab the Third Church of Marika Grace and rest at it to allow fast travel again.
Head North and use the Spirit Jumps to get to the very top of the cliffs
Head West into Summonwater Village and kill the Tibia Mariner for a Deathroot
Head South and use the tombstones poking out of the cliff going South-West to get down to the graveyard.
Continue South-West onto the ruin to talk with Kenneth Haight and get the Erdsteel Dagger. You can kill him for a Golden Seed as he has nothing more to offer.
Travel back to Murkwater Cave Grace and talk with the boss again to get the Calm Down Emote
From the Murkwater Coast Grace: Head North and then up the river and use the Spirit Jump to grab the Saintsbridge Grace
Head West and then up the cliffs going South to help Iron Fist Alexander and get the Triumphant Delight Emote
Head North and up the opposite cliff into the tomb to grab the Deathtouched Catacombs Grace.
Proceed through the Deathtouched Catacombs as desired but make sure to pick up at least 1 Grave Glovewort [1] as you progress.
Kill the boss of the Deathtouched Catacombs and open the chest to grab the Deathroot
Leave the cave and follow the road South-West to grab the Warmaster's Shack Grace
Head North to the arena and kill the Invader to get the Hammer Talisman

Stormveil Castle/Limgrave 2

Follow the road North that turns to go South-West into the castle to grab the Castleward Tunnel.
Defeat Margit, the Fell Omen and grab the Margit, the Fell Omen Grace
Head West to grab the Stormveil Main Gate Grace.
Rest at it to enter Roundtable Hold.
Inside Roundtable Hold, talk with Gideon, Brother Corhyn and Ensha to receive the Prayer Emote and What Do You Want Emote
Jump over the railing and let the Invader bow to get the Reverential Bow Emote then kill him for the Taunter's Tongue.
From the Stormveil Main Gate Grace: Talk with Gostoc in the building nearby.
Accept or Decline him. If you Decline you can open the main gate now.
DO NOT KILL Gostoc. If you do you will miss out on an optional reward later.
Choose any way you like to make your way through the castle until you grab the Secluded Cell Grace before the boss room.
From the Secluded Cell Grace: Head South past the troll and into the room straight ahead to talk with Nepheli Loux.
Head back to the boss room and defeat Godrick the Grafted.
Grab the Godrick the Grafted Grace and rest at it.
Head North-West, go through the door, and follow the path to the left to hop down.
Turn around and grab the Shabriri Grape
Continue to the outside and grab the Lake-Facing Cliffs Grace
Return to the Roundtable Hold
Talk with Roderika and Hewg back and forth until dialogue is exhausted.
Talk to Rogier and tell him about Godrick to receive Rogier's Rapier +8
Talk to the Finger Reader and the Fingers for the Rapture Emote
Talk to Nepheli then Gideon and Nepheli again for the Arsenal Charm and to progress Nepheli's questline.
From the First Step Grace in Limgrave: Interact with the message nearby for the Bravo! Emote
Head South-West onto the beach and follow the cliff to find a cave to grab the Coastal Cave Grace
Kill the boss of the cave for Tailoring Tools and Sewing Needle
From the Coastal Cave Grace: Talk with Boc to give him the Sewing Needle

Liurnia Lake

From the Lake-Facing Cliffs Grace: Rest at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Grace.

Follow the path South and then go down the branch to the West.
Jump onto the roof and enter the building to find a familiar area.
Proceed through this area as desired, but just make sure you grab the Seedbed Curse from the North most room on the top floor.
Once you get to the bottom floor, Invade Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm to receive the Raging Wolf Armor Set.
From the West Capital Rampart Grace: Follow the path South and then go up the branch to the East to the boss room.
Kill the Golden Shade boss and grab the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace.
Head East and up the branch, into the building and then out of the building.
Once you get out of the building, go West to jump down onto the rooftop and enter the window.
Climb onto the branch and grab the Golden Order Principia from the floating chair.

Quest Cleanup Nepheli/Dung EateSeluvis

From the Fallen Ruins of the Lake Grace: Head West to talk with Varre and receive the Lord of Blood's Favor.
From the Foot of the Four Belfries Grace: Head North-East up to the top of the mountain and grab the Four Belfries Grace.
Open the chest nearby to get an Imbued Sword Key.
Use the Imp Statue North-East that has the message "Precipice of Anticipation" written nearby.
Enter the portal to reach the Chapel of Anticipation.
Kill the boss if you didn't at the start of the game.
Head South across the bridge and up the stairs.
Enter the small doorway to the North-West to grab The Stormhawk King
Go into the building and jump down then interact with the dead finger maiden to dye the Lord of Blood's Favor.
From the Fallen Ruins of the Lake Grace: Head West to talk with Varre and receive the Bloody Finger.
Talk with Varre again to receive the Pureblood Knight's Medal

Head down the stairs past Blacksmith Hewg and talk with Nepheli.
Talk with Gideon about Nepheli
Return to Nepheli to exhaust her dialogue and give her The Stormhawk King. Be careful not to click too fast or you could accidentally give her the potion instead.
From the Godrick the Grafted Grace: Rest at the grace, then rest at it again(Gostoc will disappear)
Go North-West and talk with Nepheli to receive Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone
Talk with Gostoc nearby to have access to purchase another Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
From the Avenue Balcony Grace: Go down the stairs then jump over the railing to the West onto the roof.
Jump down and go around the building to the North-West to find a well.
Go down the well and continue forward until you grab the Underground Roadside Grace.
Leave the room and go North to jump down the hole on the left to enter a sewer tunnel filled with rats.
Follow the path North-West then South-West past the rats and flowers to climb the ladder.
Open the cell and talk with Dung-Eater to release him.
From the Outer Wall Battleground Grace: Head South-East up the stairs and keep heading East past the graveyard.
Follow the road South-East down the slope to the pond.
Head West to the other side of the pond and talk with Blackguard Big Boggart to buy a Boiled Crab and exhaust his dialogue.
Reload and talk with Blackguard Big Boggart again to receive Iron Ball and Blackguard's Iron Mask
Kill the Dung Eater Invader for the Sword of Milos.
From the Roundtable Hold: Talk with the Dung-Eater and exhaust his dialogue.
From the Underground Roadside Grace: Follow the same path as before to the cell where you found the Dung-Eater.
Talk with the Dung-Eater to Administer Seluvis's Potion. Again, be careful not to click too fast or you could give him the Seedbed Curse.
Once you are no longer able to talk with him, kill him to receive the Omen Armor Set. You will still have access to the puppet.
From Ranni's Rise Grace: Head South-East to Seluvis's Rise and talk with Seluvis. You can now learn Sorcery from him.
Talk with him about his chambers and choose the Jarwight Puppet as it is the more expensive of the 2.
Reload and talk with him then reload and talk with him again to purchase Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet.
Talk with him again to ask about his scheme and give him the Amber Starlight Shard.
Talk with him again to receive the Magic Scorpion Charm

Quest Cleanup Rennala/Sellen/Boc/Fia/Ranni

From Ranni's Rise: Go up the lift and talk with Ranni to give her the Fingerslayer Blade and receive the Carian Inverted Statue.
From Royal Moongazing Grounds: Head North-West to Renna's Rise and go up the ladder to grab the Snow Witch Armor Set from the chest behind you.
Continue up to use the portal and grab the Miniature Ranni from the coffin in front of you.
Go South and grab the Ainsel River Main Grace
Rest at the Grace and talk to the miniature Ranni 3 times.
Follow the path South-West and stick to the river then through the doorway of the building to grab the Nokstella, Eternal City Grace
Continue following the river West to find the lift in the final building on the left.
Take the lift down to grab the Nokstella Waterfall Basin Grace
Go through the small tunnel South-West to kill the Baleful Shadow and receive the Discarded Palace Key

Open the nearby door and ask to learn Sorcery from Sellen
Show Azur's sorcery to Sellen, ask for her story and journey together with her.
Talk to Sellen about her favor to receive the Sellian Sealbreaker
From the Church of the Plague Grace: Head North-East up the slope and attack the illusory wall behind the large grave to reveal a cave
Grab the Sellia Hideaway Grace
Proceed through the cave as desired and interact with the seal at the bottom of the crevice.
Talk with Lusat to receive the Stars of Ruin
From the Waypoint Ruins Cellar: Talk with Sellen and tell her Lusat's location to receive a Starlight Shard.
Talk with Sellen about her request.
From the Bridge of Sacrifice Grace: Head West over the rocks and follow along the edge of the forest going very far West to the cliffs just past the ruins.
Make your way up the cliffs, going North when possible to find the church and grab the Church of Pilgrimage Grace.
Head far South-West, past the ruins and the evergaol to find the second church and grab the Fourth Church of Marika Grace.
Go South and enter the basement of the Witchbane Ruins to talk with Sellen and receive Sellen's Primal Glintstone then exhaust her dialogue.
Reload and talk with Jerren
From Ranni's Rise: Head North-East into the basement of the ruins where you found Seluvis' puppets and interact with Sellen to give her Sellen's Primal Glintstone.
From the Raya Lucaria Grand Library Grace: Open the chest nearby to receive the Dark Moon Ring
Talk with Rennala and buy a rebirth to receive the Balled Up Emote.
Go through the doors South-East and pick a sign to use. This guide will assume Sellen's as it offers more rewards and has extra steps to complete but if you choose to help Jerren, kill him afterwards for his armor.
Defeat Jerren to receive the Eccentric's Armor Set
Talk with Sellen to receive the Glintstone Kris and purchase Shard Spiral from her.
Reload and grab the Witch's Glintstone Crown from nearby
Head South-East through the doors and down the elevator
Continue South-East into the other building and use the portal North-East to grab the Church of Vows Grace
Open the chest in the church to receive the Gold Sewing Needle and the Golden Tailoring Tools
Talk with Miriel nearby and give him the Golden Order Principia
Purchase the Law of Regression from Miriel
Follow the road East, then South-East to grab the Eastern Tableland Grace

From the Grand Cloister Grace: Make your way down South-West to use the coffin
Kill Astel, Naturalborn of the Void and grab the Grace.
Head North-East into the tunnel and use the lift to grab the Moonlight Altar Grace
Follow the road North-East to the cathedral and grab the Cathedral of Manus Celes Grace.
Grab all of the Starlight Shards nearby for later.
Drop down into the hole and give Ranni the ring.
Talk with Ranni to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword.
From the Ranni's Rise Grace: Head outside and defeat Blaidd to receive Blaidd's Armor Set and the Royal Greatsword.
Go South to Seluvis's Rise to grab the Preceptor Set and purchase the Dung Eater Puppet from Seluvis's corpse
Follow the cliff East and hop down to the bottom to find Pidia and receive the Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet.
From the Road to the Manor Grace: Talk with Iji and tell him of Blaidd's death.

Quest Progression Brother Corhyn/Goldmask/Hyetta

From the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace: Equip the Law of Regression and prepare any necessary buffs to get to 37 Intelligence.
Head West and go down the lift then the stairs to find a message that says "Regression alone reveals secrets"
Stand on the message and cast Law of Regression to see the statue change then read the new message in front of you.
From the West Capital Rampart Grace: Follow the path South-East past the branches and up the cliff continuing South-East to talk with Brother Corhyn about Goldmask
Tell Goldmask the Truth to receive the Golden Order Totality Emote
Talk with Brother Corhyn again to exhaust his dialogue.
From the Underground Roadside Grace: Enter the hole that you went down on your way to the Dung Eater's prison cell.
Run past the rats and enter the sewer pipe on the right.
Run past the slugs, avoiding falling down the holes, until your reach an intersection with an open tunnel and a gate with no door
Go right through the gate with no door and defeat the big guys to climb the ladder
Use the lever to open the shortcut just in case
Open the door and drop down to the left.
Follow this path until you see a giant flower below you and instead turn around to go into the path under the stairs.
Follow this path to the end to kill another big guy and climb another ladder
Open the shortcut door just in case
On the bridge before the shortcut door, go up the pipe and follow it to the end.
Drop down to the left and jump onto the wooden walkway to go through the doorway.
Kick the ladder to your left to lower it for an alternative route, just in case
Jump down into the pipe below to see two paths. Go the path that does NOT have the gate with no door. You should see a rat on the correct path.
Follow this path forward and jump over the first hole to fight a giant rat.
Past the giant rat is a second hole that you should fall into. You can see a corpse with an item inside this hole.
Open the shortcut gate nearby, just in case.
Continue going down the path to climb down a ladder.
Use the nearby lift to grab the Forsaken Depths Grace
Go down the path North-East and kill Mohg, the Omen and grab the Cathedral of the Forsaken Grace
Hit the altar and parkour your way to the bottom to grab the Frenzied Flame Proscription Grace.

WARNING: From here you have a choice. If you grab the Frenzied Flame then you will be locked out of all other endings unless you do ALL of the following:

After Aiding Millicent, talk to her on the North-West side of the rot pool to receive the Rotten Wing Insignia.

Rest at it to enter Roundtable Hold.
Inside Roundtable Hold, talk with Gideon, Brother Corhyn and Ensha to receive the Prayer Emote and What Do You Want Emote
Jump over the railing and let the Invader bow to get the Reverential Bow Emote then kill him for the Taunter's Tongue.
From the Stormveil Main Gate Grace: Talk with Gostoc in the building nearby.
Accept or Decline him. If you Decline you can open the main gate now.
DO NOT KILL Gostoc. If you do you will miss out on an optional reward later.
Choose any way you like to make your way through the castle until you grab the Secluded Cell Grace before the boss room.
From the Secluded Cell Grace: Head South past the troll and into the room straight ahead to talk with Nepheli Loux.

Follow the cliff leading North-West to grab the Ancestral Woods Grace.
Jump down onto the roofs to the South-West and proceed as desired through the area until you grab the Night's Sacred Ground Grace
Head North-East past the Mimic's and up the stairs to open the chest and grab the Fingerslayer Blade and Great Ghost Glovewort.
Use the portal nearby then head far North-East until you reach the cliff's edge near the jellyfish.
Head North along the cliff to jump down and grab the Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs Grace.
Go East and make your way down to progress through the area as desired until you reach the boss room.
Talk with the NPC curled up outside the boss room to give him the Twinned Armor Set and receive the Inner Order Emote.
Kill the Boss Duo to grab the Great Waterfall Basin Grace.
Use the coffin just North-West of the grace and grab the Great Waterfall Crest Grace.
Head West across the branches then further West to grab the Deeproot Depths Grace.
Follow the cliff North and then West to grab the Nameless Eternal City Grace.
Go East and onto the rooftop to make your way up the branches and grab the Across the Roots Grace on cliff near the top.
Enter the area North and kill Fia's Champions to get Fia's Mist.
Grab the Prince of Death's Throne Grace

Leyndell

From the Prince of Death's Throne Grace: Use the nearby portal to enter Leyndell Capital.
Head South to grab the East Capital Rampart Grace.
Proceed through the area as desired to grab the Avenue Balcony Grace(the fastest way is by going West across the rooftops)
Continue proceeding through the area as desired until you reach the West Capital Rampart Grace.(the fastest way is by going straight North-West and climbing up the wing.)
Follow the path South and then go down the branch to the West.
Jump onto the roof and enter the building to find a familiar area.
Proceed through this area as desired, but just make sure you grab the Seedbed Curse from the North most room on the top floor.
Once you get to the bottom floor, Invade Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm to receive the Raging Wolf Armor Set.
From the West Capital Rampart Grace: Follow the path South and then go up the branch to the East to the boss room.
Kill the Golden Shade boss and grab the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace.
Head East and up the branch, into the building and then out of the building.
Once you get out of the building, go West to jump down onto the rooftop and enter the window.
Climb onto the branch and grab the Golden Order Principia from the floating chair.
Head North out of the building again and grab the Queen's Bedchamber Grace.
Kill Morgott, the Grace-Given
Interact with the thorns, grab the Elden Throne Grace and rest at it.

2024.05.18 17:29 mrfree_ ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 keeps rebooting

Hi all, I'm looking at what seems to be a nice puzzle 🙂
A ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 that stopped working more or less a month after the warranty expired. I tried to boot both Windows 10 and Debian 12 from a USB stick. In the first case, the system just reboots after showing the Windows logo for a few seconds, while I'm able to see the Linux kernel crashing if I boot the second in failsafe mode.
Interestingly, some times (unfortunately it's difficult to replicate) I manage to boot into Debian 12 live. Moreover, the kernel doesn't seem to crash always at the same point during the boot process. But more or less between 52 and 56 seconds after the kernel initializes.
The system always reliably POSTs and starts the bootloader (e.g. GRUB). I even managed to successfully upgrade the BIOS to the latest available version using the Lenovo USB bootable image. Unfortunately, it didn't make any difference.
I ran a couple of passes of memtest86 and the system is rock solid, no errors whatsoever.
I also tried to remove both SSD and Wi-Fi card without any notable differences, and disconnected from the board fingerprint and smartcard readers, trackpad, and one of the USB A ports that lives on a separate board. Still no changes.
I'm running out of ideas :)

I was unable to access the internet for a while recently, so to pass the time, I decided to boot up my PS2 and play some of the classic WWE games from Shut Your Mouth to SVR 2007. Since I needed to still unlock a few things in SYM, I decided to play Season Mode as my Spider-Man CAW. If anyone's interested, here's some of my personal highlights from the Season.

Spidey squashing the Undertaker, the then-Undisputed Champion, in about 10 seconds.
Spidey winning every title in WWE at least once.
Spidey winning the tag team titles with Hulk Hogan, then winning the Intercontinental title while Hogan won the Undisputed title at Armageddon.
Spidey winning the Royal Rumble and facing his friend and tag partner Hogan for the Undisputed title at WrestleMania, 1 year after they were supposed to face off.
Spidey and The Rock's interesting relationship. They started out as allies, then enemies after The Rock became born again, then became allies again after both opposed the McMahon-Flair Regime, only to briefly become enemies again after Spidey challenged for the IC title at Armageddon.
Stone Cold supporting Spidey in his feud with the nWo and facing Hogan and Nash in a tag team match at WrestleMania, only for Austin to turn on Spidey after the match. Spidey still became friends with Hogan though.
Lola Loud from The Loud House at one point holding the Hardcore and Cruiserweight titles simultaneously.
Moge-ko from Mogeko Castle being Hardcore champion for one full year by the end of the season.

Also, I'll say it. I think SYM's Season Mode is better than HCTP's. I just hate that you can't carry over the data.

2024.05.18 14:07 Fenrir1993GER Trip Report: Golden Week 2024 - Road Trip from Nagoya to Kyushu (Awajishima/Naruto Whirlpools/Matsuyama/Miyazaki/Nagasaki/Ferry Fukuoka) by electric car

Hello, this is a trip report of my recent road trip during golden week 2024 (April 27 - May 2, 2024). I am living in Nagoya, Japan and last year got an electric car which I can charge for free, so I thought it might be fun to take a longer road trip this year, and challenged myself to drive to and around Kyushu and back. Golden week is one of the main travel seasons, so I planned the timeframe by checking the traffic jam forecast, trying to avoid the peaks. This paid out and like a miracle, I didn't experience one single traffic jam during my time. Kyushu and Shikoku are beautiful places, so I'd like to share my experience.

6 Day Itinerary (April 27, 2024 - May 2, 2024)

Day 1 (Saturday): Nagoya, Awajishima, Naruto Whirlpools, Matsuyama
The first day started by getting up at 4:30 in the morning. Since it was the first day of the Golden Week, there was a major traffic jam forecasted for the highway from Nagoya to Osaka starting from 6am in the morning. With that in mind, I decided to start driving at 5:00 and it workout out just fine without any delay until I arrived in Kobe. Once there, I charged my car even though it still had 50% battery, but wanted to be on the safe side, because there are no dealers I can charge for free on Awajishima. While charging, I took a stroll through Rokko Island and the beach there. After like 40min I was done and continued to my first goal, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge connecting Kobe and Awajishima, the second largest suspension bridge in the world. Once I crossed it, I took a break at the nearby service area, enjoying some coffee and the view of the bridge, the sea, and Kobe in the background. Until there it took me about 2.5 hours.
After that, I continued my road trip for another hour and drove through Awajishima, until I reached the southern end of the island and crossed the Onaruto Bridge, connecting Awajishima with Shikoku, after eating lunch (Japanese Curry) at the service area right before the bridge. There I reached my second destination of the day, the Onaruto Bridge and the Naruto Whirlpools. After enjoying the view of the bridge, I got to the pathway underneath it. You need tickets for it, and I bought them online in advance, so I checked in with my smartphone. Once inside, you can walk along a about 300 meters long pathway underneath the bridge until you reach the main observation room. From there, you can look down onto the whirlpools. On the website you can check the times for the whirlpools which is critical. There are strong timezones and weak ones, so I advice to check beforehand. Luckily I was able to get there for the peak time, able to witness especially strong currents.
When I was done there, I made my way to the final goal of the day, Matsuyama. This I only planned in because after thinking about it carefully, driving all the way to Kagoshima in one day would take 12 hours by car, and that would be just too stressful and I would not be able to do sightseeing on the way. After around 8 hours of driving in total, I arrived in Matsuyama at around 19:00 in the evening. Once there, the main purpose was to rest at the hotel, so all I did was having a look at the beautiful illuminated Matsuyama Castle before calling it a day and resting at the hotel, APA Hotel Matsuyama-Jou Mae, which I cannot recommend because it was rather old and dirty, but for one simple night it was enough. But driving in Shikoku was a dream. The scenery is beautiful, the highway is big and has 2-3 lanes, and there are only few cars, so you can drive fast without any worries.
Day 2 (Sunday): Matsuyama, Ferry, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima
Day 2 was the most exhausting one, because this was mainly driving without much sightseeing. In the morning, I continued my road trip, starting from Matsuyama and heading towards Misaki Port which took me about two hours. The way there was beautiful, because you drive along cliffs with the sea right next to you, giving you beautiful views of the scenery around. When I arrived, I had around 30 minutes before the ferry would take me to Oita, so I took the time to look around and enjoy some coffee at the cafe nearby. Once the ferry arrived I parked my car inside and enjoyed the trip with the ship which takes you to Saganoseki Port in Oita. After arrival I drove to the nearby dealer to charge my car before taking the probably worst part of the trip, the "highway" from Oita to Miyazaki.
Why was this the worst part? Because even though it is declared as "highway", it is far from that. On the map, it looked like it was close to the sea, but it was not. Also, it says "highway", but if you are expecting several lanes, you are mistaking. It was only one lane per direction, and a rather narrow one as well. On top of that, since there are many, many mountains, most of the time you are driving through badly illuminated tunnels. Because my car is one of the larger kinds, it was rather stressful. What made it even worse, there are no service areas until Miyazaki, so I did not have anything to drink, eat, or a toilet for about 3 hours.
After I finally was out of that hell, I charged my car one more time at the dealer in Miyazaki, before heading to the final goal of the day: Kagoshima. Since my Japanese girlfriend did not want to join from day one, she took the plane on this day, so she would arrive in the evening. And like a miracle, we arrived at Kagoshima airport at exactly the same time. With that, we headed to a dinner with her friends from there, before then going to her parent's house, where we would stay 2 nights.
Day 3 (Monday): Moai Statues, Udo Jingu in Miyazaki Prefecture
If you like sceneries/nature, then you will love Miyazaki. It has mountains, the sea, beaches, and anything else you need. On this day we first had lunch and bought some souvenirs at the Michi no Eki in Miyakonojo. Afterwards we went to the Udo Jingu, which is a temple inside a cliff. From there you can enjoy beautiful scenery of the mountains, the sea, and the temple itself. There are also rocks with a rope on top of it in the sea. You can throw stones at them, and if you manage to land inside the round rope, it is said that you will have fortune. After the temple we went to the nearby Moai statues, which are beautiful to look at on top of the mountain with the sea in the background. Apparently those are the only officially approved Moai statues aside from the original ones. In the evening, we had Yakiniku at the parent's house.
Day 4 (Tuesday): Kumamoto, Nagasaki
At 7am in the morning, we said good-bye to her parents and went on to Kumamoto, where I charged the car real quick and had a little shopping trip in the nearby mall. After that we went on straight to Nagasaki, which took us overall about 2 hours. At the hotel, they had a charging spot, so I was able to charge the car until the next morning, and we used the hotel bus to then go to Nagasaki station. After we arrived, we did some sightseeing at the nearby Chinatown and then head over to Dejima for some historical education, although I am personally are not too much into museums etc. After that we went to the beautiful Ouratenshudo church. On the way back to the hotel, we bought some Nagasaki castella. Our hotel was on the top of Isa Mountain, so we did not need to go to the observation deck, it was our hotel. The hotel also had an infinity pool, so we went inside the pool and relaxed while enjoying the view of the beautiful Nagasaki port.
Day 5 (Wednesday): Kita-Kyushu, Fukuoka Ferry to Osaka
The checkout of the hotel was at 12:00, which is late for Japanese hotels. Since it was a beautiful place, we decided to enjoy every single minute before finally checking out and then driving on north to Kita-Kyushu. On the way there, we stopped at a service area where they sold Sasebo Burger, which are apparently famous because of the U.S. military base nearby. It was the first time I have seen an American burger, and even though it was tasteful, I felt my man boobs and hips growing with each bite I took. Afterwards we went to Kita-Kyushu and strolled around Majiko Port, which has a lot of older European style buildings. It also has an observation tower which you can go up for only 300 Yen! We went up, had a look at the port, the sea, and the nearby bridge connecting Kitakyushu (Kyushu) with Shimonoseki (Honshu). At the nearby plaza you can do some shopping and there is some kind of museum inside the old customs building as well, which was more interesting than expected. Once it was time to board, we went to the port where our ferry would start, the "Ferry Fukuoka" from the Meimon Taiyo Ferry. This ferry connects Kitakyushu and Osaka. There are 2 rides a day, one at 17:00 and one at 19:50. We took the later one so that we arrive in Osaka at like 8:30 in the morning.
The Ferry Fukuoka is a new ship, so everything was still new, good-looking and generally beautiful. We went on board at like 19:00. There are charging terminals for EV cars which you can use for free if you register in advance, which I did. Thanks to that, my car was fully charged when we arrived in Osaka. There is also a restaurant you can use, and you can go eat dinner right after you boarded. The ticket for dinner and breakfast together costs 2,400 Yen, and it is a buffet like restaurant, where you pick what you want. There are also different rooms. If you really want to save money, you don't need to pick a room, but then you have to spend the 12 hours in the public rooms. There are several public rooms for watching TV, a lounge, a game center with crane games etc., a convenience store, and the open deck. Since you don't go on such a ship every day, we took the most expensive suite, which there are only two, for about 40,000 Yen. But oh boy was it worth it, this was as large as a hotel room, had a big TV, two beds, a couch with a small table, and a desk as well as your own bathroom with showebath and toilet. After eating dinner, we took a stroll around the ship, but then relaxed in our room and slept till the next morning.
Day 6 (Thursday): Arriving in Osaka and driving back to Nagoya
The last day of the trip began at 7:00 when the ship crew made an announcement that we would soon drive through the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the same bridge I crossed with my car on day 1. So I quickly went out of the bed and headed towards the deck, where I was taking pictures and videos as we drove through underneath the bridge. After that we head breakfast at the restaurant before then getting ready to get off the ship. Once we arrived in Osaka, we simply drove the last part about 2 hours from Osaka back to Nagoya, as my crippling depression was slowly kicking in, realizing that the boring everyday's life was about to start again, even though I still had days off till May 6. After arriving in Nagoya, we went shopping in Sake, before arriving at home again.
Tips
If you are travelling by car during Golden Week, check the forecast for traffic jams. Also don't start the trip on the first day and return on the last day, since that is what everybody else is doing. On the first day, you can still avoid traffic jam by starting early in the morning. For the returning day, I usually prefer to be back a few days before the official last day, because that is usually the one with the worst traffic jams.
EV cars: The Japanese highway has a lot of charging spots, so even if you are driving an electrical car, you do not have to worry too much. I personally was a bit of an exception, because I had the free charging plan from my company, so most of the time instead of using the highway charging spots, I went to the nearby dealer to charge for free.
One thing I regret is that day 2 was mostly only driving. So if I was about to plan another long road trip, I think I would insert another stay in-between so that I have more time for sightseeing and resting.
Accommodations
Matsuyama: APA Hotel Matsuyamajo-Nishi - 1 night for about 10,000 Yen
Kagoshima: 2 nights at hotel mama and papa for free ;D
Nagasaki: 1 night at Garden Terrace Nagasaki - 1 night for about 40,000 Yen
Ferry Fukuoka: 1 night inside suite A for about 40,000 yen
Last thoughts
Overall, Kyushu is a god-damn beautiful place, and I have by far not seen everything about it yet. Therefore, I am definitely planning on coming back, be it by car, train, or plain. But since Kyushu is rather countryside, in the end I was glad that we had a car, especially in Miyazaki. If you are visiting with public transport, it probably makes sense to get a rental car nearby. I hope this report could increase the interest for Kyushu for anybody reading it, cheers!

Welcome back fellow cowboys! So how does this all connect back to bearding?

"When I was 15 and putting together my first album, [...] I decided to encode the lyrics with hidden messages using capital letters. That's how it started, and my fans and I have since descended into color coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate hints, and Easter eggs."

This is quoted here in 2024 in an article about easter eggs.
Why is it being brought up again?
Taylor has been encoding her lyrics since she was Fifteen. Fearless TV notably had Taylor on the cover wearing the Romeo blouse. This I think is indicating to Gaylors she was always gay and knew it, but she was a child worker in conservative America, and so had to create smoke and mirrors surrounding the muses of her songs.
So how does this tie back to TS12 / Mother? It does via the wonderful Taylor Swift Lyric Finder.
Once I found the opal / mother connection to it, I noticed 9 words that have also been significant.
So I enter into evidence the following words:

I think this is hinting that Karma / Mother is going to be a rock album, which fits into Karma lore.
In 2009 she did a BandHero ad with Pete Wentz, Travis Barker, and another pop rock guy, and would have been 20 when it aired, which was easter egged in The Man MV in the newspaper on the subway.
The time doesn’t correlate to albums, but pop-rock, emo, and alt was becoming progressively popular then, and could indicate her curiosity of experimenting with other genres (the irony is painful).
