In my situation, I don't know how many pgs I'll print, and I see they allow up to 300 extra pages per month.. and then after that additional sets of 10 pages are $1.
I am flabbergasted, this is such a scam! I didn't know this even existed in all honesty. I'm just going to throw this printer away. If I wanted to print a 700 pg study guide for example, I'd have to subscribe, pay that, order more ink, wait for it, pay the additional $1/10 pages.

Tattoo apprentice (15 months) just recently bought this machine and every configuration l've used it in has caused ink to splatter everywhere. I've ran it with traditional tubes and needle bars, l've tried different sized tips, l've used cartridge adapters with different brands of cartridges, l've tried different needle throws, voltages, etc., I've used the built in tension bar attachment and also used rubberbands to stabilize the needle bar and still as soon as I pull the tube out of the ink cap ink starts to splatter everywhere. What am I doing wrong???? I've been using a pen style machine previously and it never gives me these issues.

The ink cartridges are rather new, no older than 6 months. While it seems to print black text perfectly, it prints in a red tone instead of every other color and has weird markings not printing them correctly. Hi, I'm kschang, and a recent bout of illness has lead to my rediscovery of my fountain pen / pen / mech pencil / stationery stash... and I started journaling with those $1 Chinese fountain pens. :) (They work great, BTW) Eventually I manage to dig up my first Platinum Preppy and got that inked up again, but now its brethren had grown to... almost a dozen fountain pens, not to mention a bunch of misc other rollerball pens, mechanical pencils and misc writing instruments, including at least 3 EDC pens. :D Not to mention a bunch of notebooks, notepapers, loose leaf journal/binders, and mini binders (similar to Field Notes, but I got one of those too). Not to mention about 3 pencil cases too many. :D That, and about 8 bottles of fountain pen ink of various sizes. (my desk is a mess)
Oh, and a glass dip pen is on the way from China via Temu. :) So I am definitely in my experimental phase.

So I'm still waiting to be assessed for ADHD (thanks NHS) but the other day whilst studying I noticed a stim that, upon reflection, I realised I've done ever since I was little.
I seem to have an oral stim, I chew things. I've broken a gemstone pendant by biting it, I have bitten my fingers and fingernails for as long as I can remember, no biro pen lid is safe from me (they all end up cracked down the middle from my gnawing), I even chewed my hair when I was a child!
The other night, as I was absently chewing on my pen lid (again) while studying, I cracked down on it with my molars and the plastic split apart. At that moment I put it together: I was stimming.
I thought back to countless chewed up pencils, pen lids - hell, sometimes even the pen itself (if the lid was discarded on a biro pen, I'd start biting the plastic pen case itself, often snapping off shards of hard plastic with my teeth and then start chewing on the exposed ink cartridge end!)
I'd be scolded often for putting my necklace chains, fingers or sleeves in my mouth as a kid. Usually when I was stressed or trying to concentrate (so.... school), sometimes just when I was bored.
The only other stims I can identify are hand/finger tapping or shaking my foot (a habit that's become more frequent as my ND husband also does this, which causes me to start) and skin picking.
The chewing thing is out of hand, sat at my office desk I can see 3 biro pens with chewed up lids and 1 that's missing a lid and showing signs of biting on the plastic already! It's embarrassing if someone asks to borrow a pen and I have to quickly hide the lid because obviously that's gross.
I have relented and ordered a pen topper designed as a chewable stim toy for kids and adults, I chose the hardest durability (because when I get into it, I bite hard with all my teeth). I have 2 exams next week so I hope they allowed to bring the silicone topper in with me.
Anyone else have an oral fixation stim? How do you combat this? I've been trying to stop my nailbiting for years on and off and I'm also a bit concerned that I might do damage to my jaw and teeth over time.

2024.05.28 05:10 J-tec WTS - Sailor Limited Edition - Suruga-Bay - 21k HF [A2]
This is an extremely rare 2018 release Limited Edition Sailor Pro Gear Suruga-Bay. This was a collab between Sailor and this shop, which could only be bought in person from Bungukan Kobayashi shop in Shizuoka. The body is a demonstrator in a gorgeous “Suruga-Bay” blue with silver sparkles throughout. The top and base look to be black in the photos, but they’re in fact a deep deep blue when you see it in sunlight.
It writes incredibly smoothly and is a gorgeous HF nib. I’ve left it at an A2 as there is only a tiny scratch on the barrel and a tiny scuff at the base which can be seen in the photos.

 | Few things to note before you say something Heard seeing blue residue is a good sign as Lamy supposedly tests pen with a blue ink so a blue residue is normal. Came with a blue cartridge, can't find it but looked legit Came in similar packaging Nib doesn't feel as good as my safari, still feels good thoughg Sorry for bad quality. I have loaded the included Kaweco cartridge into my new Kaweco sport but cannot get the ink to flow. I rinsed the nib and let it dry prior to use, and I’m sure the cartridge is punctured and it is seated in as much as I can get it without feeling like I’m going to break something. I left it for an hour plus nib down with the cap on but still no ink flowing (and none visible anywhere on the nib). I also tried gently squeezing the cartridge to no avail. The pen is brand new and from a reputable retailer (jet pens).
This is my first time using a cartridge and a Kaweco - am I being impatient? Does it normally take very long? Or is this just a Kaweco thing? Have I run into the dreaded Kaweco quality control problems on my first go?

Also got some cartridges for it, and bottle of black ink for some of my other pens. Especially since I see this as my EDC for those trips. |
