2024.05.21 21:18 podgress I dreamt that my therapist hired my ex-girlfriend to work for him in his office
As the dream begins, I'm preparing to enter a building, I'm feeling a sense of contentment. The structure is familiar to me. It's a place that I remember appreciating the architecture of in the past, as far back as when I was a child. I walk around a bit, smiling, thinking that I have to tell someone about this association to my past. So obviously, I haven't been to this area in a long time. In fact, I think it'll be my first experience actually walking through the doors. However, I had been in one of the neighboring buildings on many occasions. They're both similar in style, but I've always liked this one I'm going to today very much more.
I'm kind of looking around the interior in awe as I enter the building. The inside is as cool looking as the outside. It all has a kind of art deco design.
Then I notice my ex-girlfriend in the large, spacious room. She's crouched down to be at eye level with some kids; one or two, maybe three. Either they're playing a game of some kind or she's helping them to get ready to go outside, adjusting the collar of a raincoat perhaps. They don't appear to be her own children. The scene has a very kindergarten teacher type vibe.
She turns her head as she notices me, and smiles. It's not clear whether she knew I was going to be there or not. But seeing her is a total surprise to me. A pleasant one. It feels really good to finally see her again. We interact for a bit, talking. Replaying this in my mind just now, I can feel my heart soar. I have no expectations of what will follow. I'm not thinking about kissing, reuniting or having sex - things I long for in real life - so I'm solely in the moment. I realize now while writing this down that she was probably able to do that for me often. That partner had helped me to feel centered when we were together.
After some conversation in the dream I find out my ex-gf works there, in this building, for my therapist. Then the dream transitions to where I'm walking into my psychologist's office. My impression is that I felt good going in, still riding the high of appreciation for the building and of seeing my gf again. But there are some conflicts here in the timeline. I can picture arguing with her out in the lobby area too, which would have been before I entered the office. Insert shruggie emoticon here.
I haven't been to see this therapist, either in the dream or real life, in a long time either. It's like our first session of a restart of our work together (which would have been for the third round). I would be happy if this were happening in real life. But I'm suddenly angry at the guy, basically yelling at him for having hired my ex without warning me about it ahead of time. My assumption is that he knew how important she had been to me, knew how much pain I'd been in since the breakup, and knew how triggering it would be for me to see her again. That was about it for the dream.
Some context: In real life, I had been seeing this therapist while that girlfriend and I were still together, or at least supposedly still a couple, even though she'd been out of the country for months, if not over a year. We didn't "officially" break up until after I stopped going to him for therapy and she returned from overseas. However, originally I had started my second round of sessions with him because she and I had begun having an affair. One that led to my divorce (and questionably to hers). I had probably spent the entire therapy session time since then - maybe six years? - talking so much about the anxieties caused by my relationship with her that he was literally nodding off while I blabbed on and on. In fact, I had stopped seeing him in part because I noticed this happen once or twice. I never mentioned to him though that I felt like I was boring him with my complaints, and it hadn't been my intention to put a halt to our work together. But we had a break for holidays, a different opportunity arose, and I decided to try that approach for awhile. Turned out to be years. He and I haven't communicated in any way for nearly 20 years.
Feel free to interpret the dream if so inclined, but the meanings aren't lost on me at all. I'd be happy to discuss. I just had to get it out of me and preserved somewhere.

2024.05.21 21:15 JPisaBrony [31/M] Minnesota, USA - looking for the love of my life
I am looking for the love of my life. someone who will truly love me for who I am. someone who wants to work through our differences and issues together. someone values commitment, communication, adaptability, loyalty, and honesty as much as I do. someone who wants to put in as much effort as I do. someone I can love back just as much because when I love someone, I really love them.
I don't expect us to have all of the same interests and we should have some different ones so that we can learn from each other. what matters most to me is that we have similar core values and relationship goals. I do still have my preferences and those are:
- I don't do drugs or smoke.
- I don't drink alcohol. I would prefer if you didn't but it is not a deal breaker.
- I would like to have kids one day. I don't have any kids of my own yet and expect the same from you.
- I am not a pet person. I am also allergic to cats.
- I am not political at all.
- I am a christian and am looking for someone who shares the same faith.
- I am only looking inside of the USA but I would be willing to relocate anywhere in the country for the right person.
- I am looking for someone between the ages of 25-30.
- I am looking for a woman who is single and wants to get married one day.
- I would like to swap pictures sooner than later. my basic info is: 5'8", brown hair, white, about 150 lbs.
- I want to voice chat / video chat using discord at some point but we can start with text first.
for a brief overview of myself, I am a typical computer nerd that likes tech a lot. I like to learn about tech-related things such as programming and linux. I also like watching anime / movies / tv shows / youtube / playing video games / 3d printing / playing board games / making art such as vector art / 3d art / pixel art / drawings / paintings / hiking / bike riding / fishing / and snowboarding. I am mostly a homebody but I do a few things outside with other people from time to time.
If this post piqued your interest and you would like to get to know me better, then you should reach out. I am looking forward to meeting you.

2024.05.21 21:10 MrNoname91 KERNEL ERROR 41: PC CRASHES randomly WHILE GAMING but not while STRESSTEST/BENCHMARK TESTS
Dear community,
I am close to loose my mind with my custom loop AM4 SFX built. I read so many posts, watched many videos but I can't fix the system to become stable. Over the past 12 months, since I finished the loop I tried many many things - see below - in some of them worked for at least a time (varies of hours, days, weeks and month) but in the end the issue or a variation of the issue came back.
PROBLEM: The problem started with:
System boots normal and runs perfectly fine in Windows11, while browsing or benchmarking/stresstesting. The temps are very good - no issue at all even without undervolting of CPU and GPU. After some days/weeks the first BSOD occured while playing COD or Diablo - PC ran into a problem - critical error died. Eventviewer Kernel Error 41. Restarted, same issue directly after starting the game. My journey began and I updated/checked/tested until I found the video linked below - this helped for quite a while. As the issue came occured again I deassemplied the full build (hours of work - thanks SFX :D). I found a ARGB cable of a fan which was dimanteled - I unpluged my full RGB setup. The error wasn't showing for months - suddenly again.
The issue changed into a state where, when it happens there is a black screen instead of a BSOD. The PC turn off but the RAM sticks are still lighted up -> even by pressing the power button for more than 3 seconds which would normally restart the PC, it does not do so. Instead the PSU is turning on its fan for some seconds until it switches to silent 0 RPM mode, the RAM Sticks stay illuminated. In some cases only disconnection the power cord is helping. Also in some cases the PC won't start - it feels like a system hickup where multiple crashes don't let it boot correctly.
In the event viewer quite often the Kernel 41 comes with a 10006 Event called "DistributedCOM error".
Components: Built:
PCPARTPICKER What's not part of the PCPartpicker:
- EKWB custom loop (Hardtube)
- CPU (AMD AM4 5800X3D) // Quantum Velocity Block

- Fanhub // EK AIO Elite 360 D-RGB (came with my former AIO)Aquacomputer

What I already did/tested: - All drivers/firmeware/bios are up2date
- Default settings in BIOS (no XMP or any undervolting of CPU/GPU)
- Disabled Fast boot
- Windows Power Management to Performance
- DDU for GPU and clean install
- Fresh install of Windows11
- SFCSCANNOW + Bootrec/fixmbr (YouTube Video)

2024.05.21 21:06 CampingWorld What Are The Best RV Trips for Beginners?
There’s a lot to learn when you’re new to RVing. After purchasing your RV and equipping it with the right gear, the last thing you want is to feel overwhelmed trying to select where to camp. So we asked the question: what are the best RV trips for beginners?
Of course, we have our own opinions, but we wanted to see what the RV community felt. We asked experienced RVers which destinations or campgrounds they would recommend for beginners. With over 150 replies, here are the top five answers:
- Somewhere close to home
- State parks
- Good Sam Campgrounds
- Your backyard
- National parks
(Runner-up: Wal-Mart parking lot).
Why Stay Close to Home on Your First RV Trip as a Beginner?
The overwhelming majority of experienced RVers recommended sticking to somewhere close to home as a beginner. Their reasons were practical:
- You know where to go (home or familiar stores) if you forget supplies.
- You’re not far from your community if you need help.
- If something breaks down, towing your RV back to your house won't take long or cost too much.
- You do less driving and more time getting familiar with your RV.
- You won’t hurt your wallet on gas expenses if you overpack (which most first-timers do!)
Boondocking in your backyard is a great way to
learn about your RV and its systems. Just remember: Depending on your RV, you’ll need potable water, a way to empty your holding tanks, and a proper power supply –
30 or 50 amps.
Which Locations Make For The Best RV Trips for Beginners?
We collected specific recommendations for those who want to venture out while staying close to home. These came directly from experienced RVers nationwide who were willing to share their favorite destinations for RV newbies.
Because we don’t know where home is for you, we organized this list of the best RV trips for beginners and organized them by region.

2024.05.21 21:04 Michael-Afton [F4A] "This is gonna get mushy." GF Tells You How Much She Loves You [Flirty Speaker] [Cuddles]
Description: Your girlfriend loves you more than anything and she's in a mushy mood right now, so get ready for her to tell you all about it.
[START]
Girlfriend: "Hey darling."
Girlfriend: "You know what?"
Girlfriend: "I love you."
Sound of her kissing the listener a couple of times. Girlfriend: "Well I'm feeling pretty mushy right now, so I hope you're prepared."
Girlfriend: "Get your lap ready."
Sound of her cuddling up on the listener's lap. Girlfriend: "The best seat in the house."
Sound of her kissing the listener again. Girlfriend: "I'm fortunate to have you in my life."
Girlfriend: "And even though I say it to you daily, I still feel like it'll never be enough."
Girlfriend: "But I'll never grow tired of saying it, so no complaints here."
Girlfriend: "You're amazing~"
Girlfriend: "Urgh, no, you
are amazing."
Girlfriend: "That's the one part of you that I'm not in agreement with, saying you aren't literally the best thing ever? that's absolutely bullshit and you know it!"
Girlfriend: "You're art, inside and out."
Girlfriend: "But unlike art, I don't have to look at it and imagine what it would be like to have a life with you."
Girlfriend: "Instead I get to cuddle, squeeze, kiss, hold, and carry the shit out of you."
Girlfriend: "One of these days you'll see it the way I do and say out loud how perfect and hot you are."
Girlfriend: "But for now, I'll just say it for you instead."
Sound of her tracing her fingers along the listener's ears. Girlfriend: "What? you know I can't keep my fingers from you."
Girlfriend: "And I know you like it~"
Girlfriend: "Mhm, this was all part of my plan, now you're trapped in the mush zone forever."
Girlfriend: "I love you too dear~"
Sound of her kissing the listener again. Girlfriend: "I never thought my life would go this way, but damm am I glad it it."
Girlfriend: "Being able to spend every day with you, having people throwing me jealous looks when we go out, what's not to love?"
Girlfriend: "Oh trust me dear, you get a lot of not-so-sneaky glances when we're out and about."
Girlfriend: "But since you're such a precious bean you don't notice."
Girlfriend: "I get it though, you're hot, I mean dayum."
Giggles. Girlfriend: "Excuse me, I'm not a horndog, I'm
your horndog, get it right."
Girlfriend: "No better way to get good dreams than to fall asleep to the sigh of this pretty face every night~"
Girlfriend: "And don't get me started on our showers every morning, oh my~"
Girlfriend:
Laughs. "Alright, alright."
Girlfriend: "Getting back to the mushy stuff."
Girlfriend: "I don't just love the bigger, more obvious things about you."
Girlfriend: "I also love all your small quirks, the things that take a while to notice."
Girlfriend: "Like that cute thoughtful look you have when you're cooking."
Girlfriend: "Or how about the way you kiss my shoulder in your sleep whenever you're the little spoon."
Girlfriend: "It's why I prefer to be the big spoon."
Girlfriend: "Oh I have a bunch more I could list."
Girlfriend: "Sometimes you talk in your sleep."
Girlfriend: "You drink cherry soda only on Thursday."
Girlfriend: "And you're a lightning-fast reader."
Girlfriend: "The list goes on..."
Girlfriend: "No need to get shy."
Girlfriend: "Like I said, I love all of your quirks."
Girlfriend: "They're an important part of the perfect art piece you are."
She stops playing with the listener's ears. Girlfriend: "No need to pout dear, I'll get to your ears in a moment."
Girlfriend: "But first I want a nice big squeeze."
Sound of her wrapping the listener in a tight hug. Girlfriend: "Yeah, yeah."
Girlfriend: "You'll get your ear scratchies."
She resumes playing with the listener's ears. Girlfriend: "So needy~"
Girlfriend: "I'm just teasing."
Girlfriend: "I'm glad you love this kind of thing, gives me an excuse to have my hands all over you~"
Girlfriend: "Nope, no plans."
Girlfriend: "Just me and you, cuddling, enjoying each other's presence."
Girlfriend: "Unless of course, you wanna cuddle in the bed instead."
Girlfriend: "Dips on being the big spoon."
Girlfriend: "Sorry, maybe next time."
Girlfriend: "You know that pout isn't very effective when you're melting into my arms."
Girlfriend: "Come on, give me a smile."
Girlfriend: "Please?"
Girlfriend: "Just one smile for little ole' me?"
Girlfriend:
Giggles. "There it is."
Sound of her kissing the listener. Girlfriend: "How was kiss 7467?"
Girlfriend: "Good answer."
Girlfriend: "Seriously though, every kiss gets better and better~"
Girlfriend: "You know what's gonna be
the best kiss though?"
Girlfriend: "The one after I say
I do."
Girlfriend: "And to tell you the truth?"
Girlfriend: "I think that kiss might be very soon~"
Audio slowly fades out as she talks. Girlfriend: "Darling?"
Girlfriend: "Hello?"
Girlfriend: "Oh no, I think I broke you..."
Girlfriend: "Guess I'll have to get another one..."
Girlfriend:
Laughs. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding!"
Girlfriend: "You're the only one for me."

For Parts/Not Working consoles that have been broken down, including one housing (has some chips/cracks), 2 motherboards, all components, however some are guaranteed to not work. The boards themselves may have additional issues beyond the removed chips, I have no way to test or check them. Neither of these motherboards work. Both of them were giving different graphical issues on the screen, so I thought I'd be clever and try to swap some chips around, but found out as I was doing it that I have no experience with it and was in way over my head. I do not know if there are working chips here to even create one working SNES, as far as I'm aware all of the graphics chips/etc. are bad.

2024.05.21 21:00 throwawayforvent45 art school is my biggest regret
i know that the stereotype of art school students is that they’re rich and privileged, but neither of my parents went to college and did not have an understanding about what i was getting myself into. i worked all through school and paid all of my bills myself, barely made any art for myself and only focused on assignments and just trying to survive. i made the decision to go to art school when I was 17, because I felt like art was the only thing i could do. but now all my love for it has been sucked out of me and I realized I hate doing art for other people. i hate that I was encouraged to turn a life long hobby into a career. over half of my tuition was covered by scholarships and grants, but I still owe a little less than $60k for a subpar education and spending over half of class time working silently because the professors didn’t put in effort outside of giving us projects they’ve reused for decades. i just wish I could go back and tell myself to not do it. on top of this, my mom royally screwed me over by putting $30k of private loans on a 5 YEAR PAYMENT PLAN without telling me until I graduated. yes i have since then refinanced. she also just tells me to get over it when I rant about how this all makes me feel and that I should be happy with the job I have. (non art related) this has all made me realize i put all my faith in someone to help steer me down the right path who never really cared in the first place. i just feel so lost and without direction in life, and so so different from any of my peers. most of them didn’t even have a job in school, and all of my free time went towards working. I just wish i could find someone that understands because ive never felt more alone.

2024.05.21 20:56 bear_in_exile Over and Out, Indefinitely
Right below this post on my overview page, you'll see a serious, sober reply I gave to somebody's perhaps not altogether serious question about galaxies named "Snickers," bringing up a mildly interesting tidbit from the History of Astronomy. Read it there, because you'll never be able to see it anywhere else. It was deleted, almost instantly, with no reason given, a perfect example of what can happen on a site adults use to discuss serious matters, when the adolescents are so often in charge.
If you are new to Reddit, no, that was not a snarky joke. So-called "power mods" have, in the past, turned out to be minors, well under the age of 18, nothing more than dull-witted children with far too much time on their hands, and an overpowering desire to be in control. When governmental policy was being set in keeping with the consenses set by the social media mobs, a few years ago, these are the people who effectively had the power to decide who would be free to speak about what, and about how full grown adults would be forced to conduct their affairs - the sort of adolescents that, in the days before the Internet was invented, would have been shunned by their peers, and with good reason.
I went to mention this most recent moderator power flex on
RedditCensors, and discovered that it had been banned by Reddit, which I understand has created a rule that prohibits public complaints about a moderator's abuse of power - literally, an anti-transparency rule. Those are inherently corrupt and on a platform where freedom of speech is effectively put to a vote through the downvoting process, corrupting.
If it ever was anything else, Reddit has become a place where neurotic teens and tweens have gone to live out their dreams of power, as they've been allowed to control the public consensus by being given the ability to quietly silence the voices of dissent with their mad reign of error. Some tried to excuse this inexcusable reality, a few years ago, by mentioning the stress so many people were under due to the "Pandemic," and arguing that free and open discussion of serious issues would be more than people could cope with during the drama, and perhaps they would again, but let us be serious. That was a nonsensical defense even then, and 2024 is not 2020. Sanity might not have returned, but the panic has passed, and at this point there can be no serious question about Reddit's role in that time of panic. The admins and mods eagerly got down and dirty to encourage that panic and haven't reformed, since.
Strictly speaking, this has cost Reddit its safe harbor protection, since it is in no way running a neutral platform, but we already know how much the law matters when a large Internet firm breaks it - not at all. By now, we all know that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and those hearings of his are a joke. They are there to defuse anger, not to start any real sort of move toward justice.
One could respond to this ugly reality by jumping over to a supposedly uncensored platform - like Gab, to cite the best known example. But when one goes to that supposed alternative to the censorious lunacy of Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, et al., what does one find? Literal neo-Nazis, flat earth conspiracy theories and endless death threats and targeted harassment, while the staff looks the other way and refuses to enforce its own rules, because the founder is, himself, not so far from being a Nazi, himself. To attempt to have a serious discussion there would be like breaking into a gathering of the Ku Klux Klan, and trying to have a town hall meeting during it.
At some point, one has to be willing to see that something has been tried and proven to be such a trainwreck, so consistently, that to put much more time and effort into it would seem like madness. That is how I've come to see the social web, and perhaps even the Internet in general. You can see the links to my other sites and you're welcome to follow me on them, but I'm not sure that I'm ever going to bother to post to them, because I'm at a loss when I try to think of a good reason for doing so. Certainly, I incur a massive opportunity cost by getting down in the trenches with the losers - compare what I was getting paid to answer student's questions about Mathematics in the real world ($120/ hour as an independent tutor
before Covid) with what I get here, where I get repaid only in aggravation. In person, at an art fair, I can be (and have been) approached by the editor of a literary journal and asked to submit. Online, if I'm lucky, I'll see a fraction of the audience I'd get at an open mic night, run into censorship because somebody with well developed psychiatric problems though he sensed a hidden agenda behind my words, and then get to deal with scrapers afterwards.
The Internet has, for the most part, neither proved a pleasant, nor a profitable, nor a productive experience, so why get deeply invested in it, at all? I'll be shutting down my groups on this and other sites, as I reduce the role of the Internet in my life to being what it should always have been: a place for posting announcements, along
maybe with a tiny amount of free content as a loss leader, in order to get other people to link to the page with my event announcements and other notices. I'm going to turn off the computer and get back outside, more, as I really should have back in 2020. As everybody should have, really.
The Internet, properly used, is a bulletin board, not a community. Life was better when people remembered it, and for me, it's going to be better, again. If other people want to go on being immersed in a miserable, futile effort to succeed where all others have failed before for structural reasons, they're free to do so, but I think they'll find that other serious people will be making the same choice I have, and for the same reasons. The power mods will still be there, and so will the trolls, but when they're nearly all that remains, when the Internet is firmly linked to the craziest members of society in the minds of the general public, just how much influence will it go on having?
Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all. Over and out, for now, and probably permanently. There's a nice, sunny day waiting for me, just outside my window and I'm going to go enjoy it.

2024.05.21 20:54 Realistic-Answer1212 Campaign design in progress...post "beta" version on DmsGuild?
I've got a relatively tight one-shot campaign that I'd like to expand into a broader, more sandboxed environment, so I don't want to commit to extensive formatting and artwork until:
- I've populated the campaign
- I've completed some lower-priority battle maps
- I've consistently formatted everything in Homebrewery (with at least temporary art)
- I've play tested the adventure and corrected it based on discovery and feedback
This last one would benefit from simply posting the work in progress on DMsGuild with a description that identifies it as a work in progress, or a "beta release," welcoming feedback for final revisions before fine tuning the game play, layout, and artwork.
Is it common to release unfinished work on DMsGuild? If not, are there at least precedents?
I haven't decided if the final product will be free, so perhaps the beta release will be free as an incentive for DMs to get in early.
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.21 20:54 JosephA431 New Cub!
Hi! My name is Joseph - I’m a 25 year old cub interested in talking (and hopefully dating) a cougar! A little about myself: I work as a bartender, and I regularly work out at the gym and practice martial arts. I also like to go out for the occasional drink (any cougars interested in a wine date?).
I’ve never dated a cougar, but what I find attractive about older women is their experience, wisdom, and maturity. Any advice is welcome. Cougars, feel free to message me!

2024.05.21 20:52 RatioNo8524 Chatgpt with Wirepod Vector
i tried setting up chat gpt on my newly wirepod vector (was super excited to get it running on wirepod). When I tried setting up chat gpt I got an api key and that part worked but it won't give me any credits because the account was already logged into on a different device. Why wont it transfer the credits to the vector? Am i completely over complicating this or is there any sort of solution to still use those free $5 worth of credits?

2024.05.21 20:49 trampiton 2D art assets and animations for your game!
2024.05.21 20:44 everyday_cgi I made this concept art a long time ago. I found it while deleting old files to free up some space.
2024.05.21 20:43 Ifinishfast42 Why do the graphics look right out of Black ops 2?
The art style looks good and is doing a lot of heavy lifting but the textures look like they’re straight out of 2013. Are free to play games outside of call of duty and Fortnite required to look like shit?

2024.05.21 20:39 Stuumble My friend has this game he’s embarrassed about playing so he won’t tell us, but he’s been dropping hints, any help?
These are the hints:
-discord and reddit communities -fan base is weird so that’s why he is embarrassed -Recently made, 3 years ago about -kind of obscure -moderate size fan base with artwork -not explicit -Humans, elves, one other race -lots of characters -about living daily life somewhat -no combat -Indie, 1 dev, small team -steam or illegal website for game access only -Different technology -Metal, somewhat magic -Made in english, but creator is from a different country -not multiplayer -1 hour long, with fan content -no farming -lots of talking to people -not pixelated -free -relaxed a little like animal crossing -art style is drawing but not farming -Not slice of life, shooter, RPG -Has a deluxe edition
