I’m 26 and my partner is 27, I’m originally from Australia but have been living in Germany for nearly 2 years now. I met an amazing guy who I’m so well suited to, we get along in every aspect and it has genuinely been the perfect relationship. Everything is very much serious, living together and planning for the future with the idea of marriage in the next year or 2. Now I’m faced with trying to decide if I can deal living on the other side of the world away from my family for the rest of my life. I think being close to home is what is more important to me at the end of the day but this means leaving my boyfriend and what I think could be an amazing future with him. I really don’t know what to do and I would appreciate any advice! He doesn’t think he wants to live in Australia also and I wouldn’t expect that of him.

Friend works in Germany under SOFA status. She moved to Germany from North Carolina with her husband and child 3 years ago. They were married in North Carolina.
The plan was for him to be a stay at home dad, but he wasn’t able to follow through on parenting due to “mental health” and so she enrolled their child into daycare (which he wanted) so that he could get a job. Husband has not held a consistent job since being here, has history of mental health issues and drug use, and multiple attempts at infidelity. Over the last 3 years, he has worked a total of 4 months and never full time. He recently decided he wanted a divorce and moved out as a result.
Since he left, he has been harassing her about finances and claims he is entitled to 50% of her money and 50% custody. He does not have a permanent address (been hopping between motels and airbnbs with money his parent sends him) and is now refusing to see his child with the mother present, even though that was in the signed separation agreement when he decided to leave.
Friend has begun the process of removing him from her orders (EROD), which takes away his SOFA status as a dependent. As of right now, he is refusing to leave the country and insisting that she owes him money and custody.
There have already been 2 police reports filed as a result of his harassment over text and showing up to the home unannounced.
Friend has been trying to find a lawyer to begin the divorce process, but keeps hitting walls as they are no longer residents of North Carolina but also not German citizens.
Husband refuses to sit down with a mediator unless friend promises him 50/50 everything.
We are at a loss for next steps. Are there lawyers out there that specialize in situations like these? The legal office on the military base wife is employed at told her she needed a NC lawyer, but NC lawyer says he cannot represent her because they don’t reside there.

Hi,
for about the past 3 years I (32m, 170cm, white caucasian) have had periodically recurring paresthesia. The paresthesia starts with a slight itchiness of nerves under my skin (in particular in the neck/head area), dullness (in particular in my neck/head area), swelling in the neck/head area and dizziness. Also im becoming slightly shaky, have slight coordination problems and have problems holding my spine straight/keeping body tension. The latter is particularly noticable in the neck/head area. Also im getting cold sensitive/feel cold even though it objectively warm.
After about a day it starts getting better and then after another 1.5 days I almost feel normal. Then I have about 2-2.5 days until it starts again. Rinse and repeat. I really mean it, after starting to track my symptoms about 6 months ago I can almost time when Im getting them. I've been tested for all common diseases, all blood parameters (full blood exam) are normal, I was tested for parasites, all common autoimmune diseases have been checked, vitamine deficiencies have been checked. I had a cervical MRI which was clean, except for some spine damage that i already had. Brain MRI was clean.
The issues have not gotten worse over the past years but they are really starting to affect my cervical spine stability. I've tried physical therapy (warm cremes, electrotherapy (TENS, HTEMS), massages, etc.) without any success whatsoever which makes me think the underlying issue is not functional. My neurologist says there is no known/specific neurological condition causing this. I've been taking antidepressants and going to therapy for about two years on the suspicion that the disease could be psychosomatic without any improvement. Meditation/autogenous training/hypnosis also have not worked. Any ideas?

- determine size - the bigger it gets the more difficult to maintain. casual-friendly 960 is a solid number because you could draft it twice with 8 people without cards repeating.
- make it casual-friendly - the average commander player does not have a lot of experience drafting and is the bulk of the player base. A cube is an investment, and if you want to use the cube often... Then you will have to coax new people at LGS's and events to try it. I wanted people's first time to be a good one to remember.
- determine draft rules - packs are 20 cards, draft two cards per pick. Same as commander legends https://magic.wizards.com/en/formats/commander-draft
- curate around archetypes - I picked the most popular to also encourage people to try it. Control, aggro, group slug, lifegain, voltron, +1/+1 counters, flicker, and reanimator.
- avoid multiple pips - because your commander pigeonholes your colors, I reduced pip representation so you don't draft dead cards. You can observe this in the nonbasic lands and I limited multicolored cards to just playable commanders.
- record balancing thoughts - I keep a notebook in the box, and jot thoughts as they come up. For instance, commanders who protect themselves are too op in a limited format so I axed them. Group slug cards also needed to be pruned a little, damage doubles due to life totals being shared. I only recommend cards that drain or damage for 1. This also helps me remember under and over performers. As a result, I cultivated a list that generates nastalgic feelings of fair magic.
- catalog list - my favorite part about Cube Cobra is it shows ur editing history. So if you ever wanted to add things back, that info is readily available. This also helps guarantee color and archetype balance.

i was happy because i got to visit another country and meet people from different nationalities and stuff.
8 months passed it was a hell for me they were putting blame on me for not finding a job they expected their kid that they never allowed to even go out or have friends nor let him practice a sport to be able to have confidence to find a job that pays well. what made me irritated the most that they did absolutely nothing to my older brother who is clearly have more experience and my older brother himself was sometimes start a fight with my parent to the point where he threaten by holding a knife .
anyways two weeks ago i put some effort and could land a job a very good one actually in a tourism agency and i thought my nightmare stopped .well nope ,my parents asked me to teach my older brother how to do what i am doing in my job ,the problem is my brother doesnt even know how to use microsoft word or even how to save a photo from google to his desktop it will take me a year to teach him everything i do but they want me to teach him in summer in my free time which is maximum of 2 hours a day i work from 12pm to 9pm . i told them that the internet would be a better option for him to learn there is millions of tutorials on youtube and udemy etc but my words were like blasphemy.
i am planning to move out and rent a studio/1 room apartment and send them money every month all of it except the money that i will use for my self development.
is my decision to leave them because of this selfish?

So I’ve been separated with my boyfriend for a month and a few days. The breakup was completely my fault (it was so bad to the point he ended up going back to his mothers house), I take 100% accountability for why the relationship ended and I will forever apologize for what happened that day. I didn’t cheat on him, I just had an extreme angry outburst which led me to disrespect all of his belongings and even break 3 of his things. I bottled up a lot of anger which led to the outburst which I am now in therapy and I meditate daily because I want to completely change from that situation. So fast forward a month and a few day, my boyfriend and I had a conversation last week where he finally expressed how he truly felt about everything and it made me very sick to my stomach to know the severity of his pain, and we ended that conversation off really good where I thanked him for expressing his feelings towards me since it’s been a month and he was very very angry with me throughout it all so him finally doing that was big step towards the right direction. I told him he is always welcomed back to our home with open arms and kisses and we ended the conversation there on a good note by telling each other we love one another and to be safe. Today I texted him a clip that we both used to love and I sent it at 5pm in the afternoon and he didn’t reply. I sent a follow up text at 8:40pm telling him that I was sorry for texting him and I just wanted to make him smile and he still didn’t reply. The TV in our home has both our Youtube apps logged in, so from time to time I check to see what he’s been watching (I know, very stalkerish) and I saw that he was listening to a bunch of music videos and funny videos he usually watches. I'am currently studying Business Administration in Switzerland. At first I thought this is a great degree, since I didn't really knew what I want to do later. During my studies I started to become more and more interested in finance, especially quant finance. I took finance courses and I was really good at them and I had fun. However the number of Quantitative courses I can take is limited. I'm now nearing the end of my studies and I was looking to work one year to get experience and to do a master afterwards. However I started to note, that most Investment Analyst, Risk Analyst and other Quant related Internships obviously require a more Mathematics related background. The same goes for Masters like Financial Engineering; Business Analytics or similar.
So my questions are: Does anyone have advice on how I could switch into the quant fields? I thought maybe to take quant courses through Edx. However I'm not sure if it's worth it.
And 2nd Question: If i do a quant degree related to finance, is it worth to go to a elite university in the US? Would they even take me without a strong quant background besides the few courses I took?

Me(19) and my bf(20) are together for a year in couple of days. We are long distance, never have met, we are planning to meet and stay together for a month this summer.
I really love him and can't imagine losing him, we have done so much for eachother.
5 days ago my classmate shared that she is infertile, and based on her symptoms I might be too, so I shared this knowledge to my bf(he really wants kids and family at young age, that connected us). He wasn't really pleased with my news, and said that he needs a family(biological kids)and you can imagine how much stress we started to feel. I said I will go to the gynecologist to do fertility test on Monday (today) but I got super ill during weekend due to anxiety(shitty immune system).
We are arguing about me not going to do the fertility test today. But I really couldn't because of illness.
Why I'm stressing so much? We will not stay together if I can't have kids, so it's either having everything or nothing, my bf said he would stay with me but it wouldn't be a life lasting thing and that's just a no for me. So we would break up. I will lose the ability to have children, and my partner that I love so much. We planned our life together that I was really exited for. To add to stress I'm graduating soon.
I just wanted to vent, I'm in so much pressure I can't do this anymore, I just hope everything is okay and I can continue my life. The thing is the test will probably be okay and I'm fertile but there are so many things dependent on that result.

I've had my Breville Barista Express for 2 years and pretty fed up with it. It's set at 14 bar and it's hard to get a good single shot unless I make a manual preinfused shot. I don't really want to manually mod it to 9 bar, so I'm looking to get something better. Already ordered an Ureka Mignon Specialita grinder that's due to arrive this week, so that will be a good start.

Coffee profile/requirements:
- Around 4-6 cups/shots a day. A mix between milk based (cortados and flat whites)
- Ideally a machine that allows me to make single shots with ease. I know it's usually harder than double shots, but double shots are too strong for me and I don't really like to waste 8 grams of coffee each time
- Relatively ease of use, so my wife can also use it without needing an in-depth training.
- No needs for all sorts of bells and whistles, I enjoy a good coffee, I don't want to spend more time than necessary on preparing it. I also don't want to tweak hundreds of settings. I understand this is a compromise, but for me a balance between effort/quality matters
- Max 20 min heat up time

But just when I thought I got the hang of taking care for her, she grew this super weird, small, crispy leaf. I checked for pests and did not detect any on her. She is about a year and a half old and i got her when she was very small. She is sitting in a well draining soil mix, gets watered like every 7-9 days through bottom watering. I mist her with a spray bottle regularly, even though my flat is decently humid (like 45-55%). She gets fertilizer about every 2-3 weeks, since it spring/summer now. She gets lots of light, but little to no direct sunlight. A little note on the leaf itself: The crispy part of the leaf was weirdly already there, when the leaf was still 'producing' on the stem. So it was already crispy before even unfurling, which I find very weird. Does someone have any idea whats wrong with her or if this is just a normal error in leaf growth? I really love her and would be very sad if she died. Also I am afraid that my other plants might be affected someday, so help would be much appreciated! Thank you everyone! |

Alright I am to be as clear as I can for anyone who has questions or has comments. So it's been about I year I had a little girl with my now ex things ended badly due reason I will get in to if any one is interested so long story short I am sure my ex is trying to take me to court to stop me seeing my child I am not viloent person but I do have bit of temper but I have never hurt my ex or my child or anyone else I've been in a romantic relationship anyway getting on with why I think this so I had long bitch to mate of mine about said ex an things thay have been doing to just in general annyoe me well I had bit of an argument yesterday because am in the middle of moving so my house is bit up in the air an consisting I watch our child while she was moving with out complaining she keeps bringing her down to what is complete chaos so that was the comment I made to her witch she replied to me that I am never on time picking my child up or dropping them off witch I know isn't true because I had feeling for about 12 mouths give or take she's Tring to find any reason to take me to court for example she blocks me at the drop of hat witch wudnt bother rif we didn't have child together and wants have things on email for those who do not know WhatsApp can not be used in court of law because of the terms of agreement witch is pain but also a blessing so she's trying to get me to talk to her on things that can be.
