2024.05.22 00:51 NotoriousVSG Broke on through to the other side!

Welp I did it! As of 830 am, I am sleeved!
I waa expected it to suck, but it's not too bad for the time being. Got a nerve block and 1 Morphine kinda shot in my spine. So far, it feels like a million sit ups. I Peed, walked 30 feet (was dizzy so need to pace myself), have kept down a few oral meds, ice cubes, sipping water, but and but am having BAD itchiness and they had to tie my arm down because I was rubbing my itchy eyes so much šŸ˜‚ I'm riding the Benadryl train for the time being. I'm allergic to most pain meds so not sure about home, butttt I got my tylenol. Honestly, oher than soreness, it feels like nothing. Got my cpap on and watching poorly closed captioned movies. Oddly, not fullness cues yet, but i'm not on liquids liquids yet, so we shall see!
Shoutout to Dr. Courcoulas in Pittsburgh for being such a great surgeon and having such a great team! šŸ’—
I am allergic to everything and a mess health wise and I made it out. Intubation was nothing, and I'm just hoarse, but getting Tylenol in an IV so I'm comfy (for now!)
I was calm as a cucumber until things picked up at 8 and was wisked away. I almost wanted to back out, but didn't. You CAN do this! I was sobbing and scared, but I got Haldol in my iv to relax during the spinal shots and no sooner did I lie down after did I wake up in PACU.
Thanks to everyone for their support, kindness, and positive words- I truly appreciate you all! Here's to the future. May we all live longer and more fulfilling lives with our new start!

Why nightmares and ā€˜daymaresā€™ could be early warning signs of autoimmune disease

An increase in nightmares and hallucinationsā€”or ā€˜daymaresā€™ā€”could herald the onset of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, say an international team led by researchers at the University of Cambridge and Kingā€™s College London. The researchers argue that there must be greater recognition that these types of mental health and neurological symptoms can act as an early warning sign that an individual is approaching a ā€œflare,ā€ where their disease worsens for a period.
5-20-2024 Yoga and meditation-induced altered states of consciousness are common in the general population, study says
Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and other practices are gaining in popularity due to their potential to improve health and well-being. The effects of these practices are mostly positive and occasionally transformational, yet they are known to sometimes be associated with challenging altered states of consciousness. New research by a team including investigators from Massachusetts General Hospital reveals that altered states of consciousness associated with meditation practice are far more common than expected. Although many people reported positive outcomes, that were sometimes even considered transformational, from these experiences, for a substantial
5-20-2024 Examining the benefits of out-of-network care for pediatric moyamoya
Total in-episode expenses and resource use before the index surgery (preop) and including/after the surgery (postop). The comparisons are separated for analysis into (A) single institution cohorts (1 and 2) and (B) multi?institution cohorts (3 and 4). Moyamoya disease is a rare condition that affects the blood vessels in the brain, especially in children. Narrowing and blockage of vessels significantly increases the risk of stroke and requires surgical revascularization for treatment. Although research shows that outcomes of revascularization are better
5-20-2024 Study explores links between social media use, mental health and sleep quality
The more time you spend on social media, the greater the likelihood of having unpleasant social-media related dreams that cause distress, sleep disruption and impact our peace of mind. Flinders Universityā€™s Reza Shabahang says that the vast and rapid adoption of social media has the potential to influence various aspects of life, including the realm of dreaming. ā€œAs social media becomes increasingly intertwined with our lives, its impact extends beyond waking hours, and may influence our dreams,ā€
5-20-2024 How are asthma and heart health linked?
Although the heart and lungs are neighbors in your chest, people may think of them as separate entities with unrelated problems. But a growing body of evidence suggests that asthmaā€”one of the most common lung disordersā€”is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Asthma is a serious chronic disease in which airways are inflamed, often in response to specific triggers. It affects about 25 million people in the U.S., including nearly 5 million children, causing millions of annual visits to doctorsā€™ offices and emergency rooms. ā€œWe call these major changes
5-20-2024 STUDY EXPLORES PATIENT TRUST IN PHYSICIANS
Trust in oneā€™s physician drives positive health practices. In a scoping review, SUNY Poly Professor of Sociology Dr. Linda R. Weber discovered new developments in the measurement of trust, identified those measures of trust that have known reliability and validity, and compared those instrumentsā€™ conceptualizations, dimensions, and indicators. The paper is published in the journal PLOS ONE. Weber explains that 10 dimensions emerged from the study: fidelity, technical competence, communicative competence, interpersonal competence (i.e., caring), honesty, confidentiality, global, behavioral, fairness, and system trust/accountability. In addition, these findings provide the foundation
5-20-2024 TIMESAVING TIPS FOR COOKING HEALTHY MEALS
Living a busy, fast-paced life can make it hard to find the motivation to cook a healthy meal at home. However, learning some shortcuts in the kitchen can keep your healthy eating goals on track and help you avoid grazing on unhealthy snacks, grabbing the first thing you see in the fridge or going out for fast food. Why cook at home? Research shows that maintaining a healthy weight is challenging when you eat out too frequently. Restaurant portions often are super-sized
5-20-2024 UNDERSTANDING PERIMENOPAUSE VS. MENOPAUSE
Menopause marks a significant transition for women, yet understanding its precursor, perimenopause, and its symptoms can be complex. Dr. Stephanie Faubion, director of Mayo Clinicā€™s Center for Womenā€™s Health and medical director of The Menopause Society, says experiencing perimenopause and menopause can be confusing for some. She says it is not only patients who may find it confusing, but medical providers as well, due to lack of training in menopause management. ā€œMenopause is defined by no menstrual cycle for a year,ā€ says Dr. Faubion.
5-20-2024 LOW-DOSE IRON SUPPLEMENTATION HAS NO BENEFIT FOR BREASTFED INFANTS, SHOWS STUDY
The American Pediatric Association recommends iron supplements to all healthy infants who breastfeed longer than four months, while its European counterpart, Society of Gastroenterology, Hepataology and Nutrition, does not recommend it. These deviating guidelines stimulated researchers to design a new study. Breastfeeding is strongly recommended, and the proportion of children are breastfed during the first half of life is high. The researchers wanted to determine whether breastfeeding babies could benefit from extra iron.

2024.05.21 16:47 FiguringItOut1123 Outpatient vs. Inpatient for DJS

Hello All,
Was wondering if folks had any thoughts the pros and cons of outpatient vs. inpatient for DJS. I've been researching this procedure and am looking at an orthognathic surgeon affiliated with a major hospital system (inpatient) as well as an orthognathic surgeon who is affiliated with their own private oral surgery practice (outpatient). I know the outpatient surgeon typically does many hundred surgeries per year, so they have plenty of experience with this procedure. Just wondering what the more experienced folks think the pros and cons are of each available option.
Thanks,

2024.05.21 13:52 ThePineappleDev Friday evening I felt fine. Saturday evening my gallbladder was removed

On friday-saturday night i had really intense pain behind my sternum and ended up going to the ER. After some checks and finally an ultrasound the doctors determined my gallbladder was full of tiny stones and one was stuck in the entrance/exit.
I had another ultrasound later on saturday at noon and they found that the stone had left the entrance. However i was in such pain just from moving the ultrasound scope around that i had to throw up.
Under consent I was scheduled to remove my gallbladder on saturday evening. I was really relieved because I just needef the pain to go away.
During the surgery they found that there were micro punctures and necrosis was setting in on one side of the gallbladder.
The surgery was a success, and I was discharged on monday morning (an extra day to keep stronger antibiotics in the IV vs oral antibiotics at home)
Im going back on thursday for a checkup, and next week wednesday they are removing the stitches.
To my knowledge I never had any issues with my gallbladder before this, but obviously that many stones dont form over night šŸ˜…. Im still scratching my head thinking if theres anything obvious I missed
I feel so happy that the doctors took me seriously and took such quick action, otherwise things could have been a lot worse, though i am trying not to think about that.

2024.05.21 09:04 BigBigShire GF seems to secretly have super old-fashioned views on oral sex and gets distant after enjoying it

It's weird because when I go down on my girlfriend, although she finishes quickly or multiple times and the sex goes great, she ends up not wanting me to stay the night, or if we had a multi-day plan, she gets platonic and not-very-cuddly for a day. If I don't stay, she ignores my text for many hours or a day.
I'm not saying I'm the best at this technique, but I am very confident she isn't faking the orgasms for various reasons that are TMI, but one of them is that she will always make out with me, moan when she tastes that I went down on her, and get lovey-dovey for a couple of minutes in a pretty intense way.
So she appreciates it, but sees me as submissive for a few hours until my reputation recovers. I get the same reaction from one other position, where I sit down and finger her while she's standing up (spontaneous foreplay outside the bedroom) where she finishes really fast and says my name a lot, but because I was "below" her it seems like she sees that as submissive and she gets emotionally turned off for a day and distant. Even though the way I do that and oral sex is pretty dominant.
When I visit her. It's rare she doesn't want me to stay the night, but without fail every time I eat her out, even though the sex goes good she will be more distant and will politely try to go to sleep alone, doing whatever is necessary politely like giving me leftovers to take home or making me coffee to suggest me going home.
When I avoid oral sex... she orgasms a bit less often, but she always wants me to stay the night.
So, how should I bring this up to her? The "Just talk to her" advice about stuff that could sound insecure should be taken cautiously, as everyone here knows (vs. the rest of the internet that says "Just talk to her about your insecurities")

2024.05.21 07:28 Adept_Gene8477 I believe mewing contributes to self-hatred

TL;DR: I grew to hate how I look as a result of getting into mewing. I feel like we, as a species, were forced into an unnatural lifestyle that caused our bodies to mutate into an unhealthy ugly mess, and now, because of Mike Mew's work, we have to feel ashamed of it.
I have a lot of things to say, and even though I understand that not all people will read everything, I feel the need to pour my thoughts out.
I am 22 years old, and unfortunately, it so happened that I learned about mewing only a few months ago. Before Mike Mew and his work gained significant popularity among Gen-Zers after the release of his ā€œUltimate Mewing Guideā€ on YouTube, I was not even aware this practice existed, which makes me regret many life decisions I made up until this point.
Itā€™s been about a month since I started mewing and I fully believe that tongue posture and craniofacial structure have a direct correlation. When I listen to Mewsā€™ lectures, it feels like puzzle pieces falling into place. Their theories are so logical and spot-on that you begin to question how it is even possible for orthodontics to exist for centuries, or even thousands of years, without dentists realizing that problematic teeth are not a genetic trait. How come these people still treat malocclusion in children using braces? Moreover, mewing improves breathing and can potentially prevent migraines, as those often happen as a result of palatal shrinkage.
But aside from talking about the incredible health benefits of mewing, there is no doubt Mike Mew also places great emphasis on how oral posture affects the attractiveness of oneā€™s face. When you listen to him, it sounds like he is driven to solve the problem of prevailing ā€œuglinessā€ in the modern population. The amount of work he puts into analyzing the ideal facial structure is astounding. He shares a lot of valuable information on what a person must do to achieve a better-looking face. But my question is, did the problem of ugliness exist in the first place? Do people actually see down-swung faces as unattractive? By providing the instructions on how to improve oneā€™s appearance from the get-go his work automatically assumes that this is the case, but is it really?
While I agree with Mike on most of his theories, whenever I hear things like ā€œA face of a mouth-breatherā€, it makes me feel nothing but pain, and the reason for that is mewing works most effectively for reshaping the bones in adolescents and young adults, and according to the man himself, after 25 years of age, it is practically impossible to make any significant changes by utilizing proper oral posture.
So, do women really only find men who have a chiseled jawline and pronounced cheekbones attractive? I know I am only one example, but before learning about mewing, I never identified the facial features of a mouth breather as flawed, or even identified them at all, for that matter. I considered a smaller jaw as much of an individual trait as the shape of oneā€™s nose or eyebrows. Yes, looking back on it now, it is an incorrect judgment, as most of the time a weak jawline is a result of an incorrect oral posture and a sedentary, relatively unhealthy lifestyle, but this is beside the point. I distinctly remember having a few crushes on guys in the past who would be considered to have a weak jawline. Itā€™s just to show you how diverse womenā€™s tastes really are.
So why must broad jaws matter, if I was and am genuinely attracted to guys who donā€™t possess them? Why must it matter, if nowadays, we no longer require large masseter muscles to chew on raw meat for our survival? Why must a slight down-swinging of the maxilla be seen as an unfavorable trait if it did not get so far that it impacts oneā€™s health? Why should the purely aesthetic aspect of all of this matter?
In my opinion, mewing and orthotropics is a wonderful field of study that should be used to spread awareness about the small jaw epidemic and dental malpractices that genuinely ruin peopleā€™s faces. It is great for preventing malformities in future generations as well as treating adults who have problematic craniofacial structures that impact their health. But unfortunately, most people, when they hear the word ā€œmewingā€, picture a magic exercise that will make them look like sexy Squidward.
I see it very clearly, mewing has become a tool that enables insecurities to grow spread, and fester.
As I stated before, prior to watching videos on orthotropics on YouTube, I was completely unaware of the fact that forward development is deemed as aesthetic perfection. And now, I often subconsciously analyze the facial structure of random people I see in public when I never did in the past. Worst of all, I started seeing my own face as putridly ugly, when in the past, I considered myself to be not very attractive, but at least not looking worse than an average person. And recently, I realized this might be something that is happening not only to me but, probably, to many people interested in orthotropics.
So, do we really care about beauty standards, or is this idea being actively pushed on us by the looks-maxing mentality? To me, personally, it looks like Mikeā€™s focus on looks in relation to mewing not only does not help to solve the problem, but instead, it is actively creating it. Or at least, it makes it severely worse, because, even if there were people like me, who did not care about perfect jawlines before, then from now on, their numbers are going to be dropping in the near future as mewing gets more and more attention.
ā€œYou arenā€™t ugly, you have bad habitsĀ», Well, does pushing with all the forces of your tongue on your maxilla in hopes of getting the face of a model sound like a good habit to you? Or performing inter-oral pulling or b0ne-smashing? And also, rating and judging other peopleā€™s faces, and suggesting to undergo plastic surgeries in case they are too old for mewing, so ā€œitā€™s over for themā€. Are these the good habits people are talking about?
And if we do follow the logic of ā€œMouth-breather face = bad habitsā€, what will the reasons for the malformation of oneā€™s face be? What are the things that ugly no-good modern-day Quazimodos did, that are now being used as a valid excuse for others to judge them for their physical flaws? First of all, according to Mike Mew, breastfeeding plays a huge role in the development of natural proper oral posture. (Only 34.5% of women breast for the first 6 months as of the years 2000-2008 according to this article https://www.cdc.gov/mmwpreview/mmwrhtml/mm6205a1.htm#:~:text=Among%20infants%20born%20in%202000,16.0%25%20breastfed%20for%2012%20months.)) Second, human jaws require a consistent and considerable amount of work for them to achieve good development. (Modern diet is progressively becoming softer, and more processed). Third, the human body requires a lot of physical movement, running, and walking to maintain optimal and healthy back posture, which subsequently affects the structure of the skull. (I donā€™t know the statistics, but nowadays, most likely most of us canā€™t survive without sitting at a computer for 6+ hours a day). Next, the humans are bcoming more allergic as the time goes on, which makes many acquire mouth-breathing habit during cildhood (the kid with hamster allergies case demonstrates this very well). And finally, a quick google search reveals that about 45% of children have to wear braces to fix their crooked teeth, at the age when they don't yet have full rights to consent to procedures like this.
So, do all these things look like bad habits that one can easily and consciously fix? Adding a bit of exercise to one's life can do some good, that's a nice habit! But what about all the other stuff.... What if you are approaching the age when your bones don't grow anymore?
To get to the point, I donā€™t understand why people should be ashamed of their appearance when the modern lifestyle is literally doing everything to prevent the healthy growth and physical development of children. Cavemen did have beautifully wide dental arches as a result of chewing on raw meat, running barefoot, and hunting wild animals, but did they also have to spend 12 years of their adolescent life sitting at a school desk, studying, doing homework, and trying to get good grades? Maybe they also produced some impressive pieces of art, music writing, etc.? Then why should we be ashamed of the fact that we did not manage to keep our bodies at peak physical performance, while also studying, or god forbid, having an extracurricular interest that also involves a lot of sit-down work and is time-consuming?
I, myself, wasnā€™t ever a mouth-breather! I just had an absolutely awful back posture all throughout my life because I decided to dedicate my life to producing electronic music from the young age of about 13 years, which requires an endless amount of hours sitting at the computer. And now I get to be called ugly and lazy for it. I never even played video games in my life, ever! I donā€™t drink and I donā€™t smoke, and Iā€™m not overweight, and yet I have to hate myself and how I look?? Just because of my passion?
It feels like we were forced into this unnatural, for our species, lifestyle that causes our bodies to mutate into an unhealthy mess and yet we still have to carry the guilt and shame of its consequences.
It makes me feel awful looking at how quickly the image representing ā€œThe face of a mouth breatherā€ vs ā€œThe face of a nose-breatherā€ is spreading, thanks to Mike Mew. The way it labels people based on their appearance is almost comparable to a racist caricature. It seeps into young adults' minds and makes them put people into categories, even if they never thought of this stuff before.
Iā€™m not suggesting to ditch mewing as a whole and to continue living as uneducated, unhealthy modern apes. Iā€™m asking people to stop cultivating an environment where we focus on negatively labeling people with unfavorable facial features that they get as a result of, mostly, circumstances beyond their control and that do not carry any health risks. Mewing may bring health benefits in the form of sleep apnea prevention, but it also changes the mindset and I don't think this is a good change.

2024.05.21 02:40 2023Chithrowaway Can we have a deeper discussion about gonorrhea?

I'm going to be very forthright here. I'm writing this as I feel the plaque building at the back of my throat for what will be the 5th time I've contracted gono in my life (I'm 30). This is the second time I've gotten it this year. On Saturday, I found a jock on Sniffies who was having a couple guys come over and fuck him. I sucked his dick a little and I rimmed his cummy ass a lot. Oddly enough, I only had him suck me off, and I'm not feeling anything in my dick.
Now, I know -- you met a guy on Sniffies and you caught an STD? How surprising šŸ™„. I'm not writing this for your sympathy. I'm just trying to have a conversation about logistics. I'm not actually the biggest horndog -- I'll get busy with work or school and I'll go without sex for months. But yeah, when I have some free time and I'm feeling horny, I like to fuck around. Fucking is not an uncommon pastime among gay men. But recently it's seemed to get to the point that every time I start heading out to meet guys, I'll catch gono, specifically, within a handful of encounters.
Some of you are bursting to shout: THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GO RAW. Yes, you are absolutely correct. But really, do even the "condom-always" people always wear a condom for oral? Are there actually people that use a dental-dam when they go down on a guy? Forget the issue of condom-vs-raw for anal. I think that's becoming a crutch for people to refuse to recognize the scope of the problem. This is the second time I've gotten gono from oral alone. If you think you're safe because you always use a condom before anal but still will go down on someone without protection, the spread of gonorrhea is coming for you too.
Others will say "This is why hookups are bad, you need to find a relationship." Again, you are correct. Go treat yourself to safe, raw sex with your bf/hubby. But plenty of us are into fucking around. Fucking around has been a core part of gay life. Stonewall was for fucking around. Mineshaft was for fucking around. Lots of gays like to fuck around, and are not into pairing up. I myself enjoy being single and do not want a boyfriend. I know I am so, so, so far from being alone. I'm trying to have a conversation for others in my position. What's going to happen as gonorrhea spreads further?
Rates continue to rise year-on-year in the US and globally. I think most people know about the rise of total antibiotic-resistant gono, but my point is: even with the use of antibiotics, gono rates are rising. Antibiotics help on an individual level, but are not helping society suppress this disease. Even if we didn't have to worry about the rise of antibiotic resistance, we'd still have to deal with the rise of gono prevalence, where the interval between going to the clinic to get the shot and going back to the bathhouse until you get the bug gets shorter and shorter.
Eventually I have to imagine that we'd reach a point where if you cruise the unusual circumstance is being uninfected, not infected. In fact I suspect we're there already, at least in some pockets of the subculture. Like I said, I don't actually fuck all that much; I'm an academic gay, not a circuit gay. If I'm having this much trouble, I can't imagine how the "raw-is-law" boys who go to the bathhouse dark room on a weekly basis are doing. If you're a bottom, gono can be asymptomatic (actually, tops too), and I'd bet there are a good number of gays who consciously or subconsciously realize that they're spreading something, but don't want to admit it to themselves. I'm not condemning them either; I'm wondering if we've reached a point where this is reasonable behavior. What's the point of going to get cured if you're going to get infected again in a matter of weeks?
This is going to get worse once total antibiotic resistance hits. Apparently the treatments of the pre-antibiotic era were flushing the urethra with mercury or very hot water. Fun. I don't know if there were treatments for gono in the throat or ass. But if that's what treatment is like, I suspect there will be more guys who decline.
I don't see how we avoid a future, arriving in the next decade or two, where gonorrhea is something you just live with if you fuck around. Oddly enough, I experienced something like this once. A few years ago I was in [non-Western, mid-economy country] which wasn't exactly anti-gay but wasn't gay-friendly either. When I was in the capital, I went to an underground gay bar and met a guy. Then I went out to a semi-rural area, where I discovered that I had, yes, contracted gono. Lacking the country's insurance and in any case not interested in explaining my faggot ass to whatever clinic was around, I had not choice but to just... live with it, until I got back to the US. Well, after about a week, the discharge had mostly stopped. I did get back to the US and get a shot once I was back, but it did make me think. The body will clear the infection eventually, or at least suppress the symptoms, without the need for antibiotics. Maybe that's what we'll be left with.
I know I'm being very morose, but all I ever read from Western LGBT health orgs is: "Safe sex! But if not, that's okay, no judgement! šŸ˜ Just come get your shot!" And, while I'm not a med student, if I search for med papers, it's all research for another antibiotic to kick the can down the road. But I never see anyone grappling with the fact that there's a very good chance we run out of road, and what then? If someone can point me to a better conversation happening somewhere, please, I'd like to read it. And if not, can we have that conversation here?

2024.05.21 02:20 Accomplished_Dig_660 LLLT- Does it work and what does it do? (For people looking into helmets or caps)

I've had a hair transplant.. A big one.
Cause was Diffuse thinning mainly, DHT and Cortisol related, + lack of bloodflow in scalp
For me LLLT has helped my donor area to heal and transplanted hair to settle in. So i am looking into buying a helmet or cap myself to aid further in the process. And i always ocd on these kind of purchases and their efficacy.
I have had PrP, SMP. I also microneedle at 2.5mm 4 to 6 times a month and use Minfin orally 2.5mg/1mg. Also keto shampoo soon again as i am healing from my 3681 hairs transplant.
In my search for ad free and unbiased opinions and actual legit information i also came across this light read. Check this following article as it does not even have ads for anything, very neutral untill of course they mention that they provide such service but still i detect clear honesty in there.
https://www.ohiohairrestoration.com/blog/low-light-laser-therapy-lllt-for-hair-loss-the-hype-vs-reality/
If you don't want to read it, basically they just repeat what has been proven that it makes existing hair grow faster and makes thin hair thicker. THIS does not say anything about permanently lost hair, note this very clearly.
Potential new hairs on bald patches will only be provoked to come out and grow by 1.5 to 2-2.5mm Microneedling and MinFin- Which is both best taken orally, i took the plunge and am supplementing with TrT.
Then the Final solution is transplanted hair which can restore lost hair patches completely. To which then you have to mantain scalp health in order for them to thrive. Which comes down to lifestyle, genetics, medication and treatments.
LLLT supports whichever route you want to take by accelerating the process and adding density + better bloodflow subdermal- Which Minoxidil actually already does and works in conjunction with.
And that is the end of that discussion for people who are on the fence.
I am thinking Theradome HL80 or the Hairmax, i am not sure yet. Prices are stupid sadly. Both are FDA cleared and the companies seem to hate each other lol.
I'm not a doctor but i am in contact with my hair surgeon who is easily top 10 in the business, and she also incorporates LLLT in the first week of healing her patients, free of charge. And i could just feel how it helped my scalp close everything up nicely due to the subdermal skin benefit.
But as i always say, this only amounts to anything if everything else is in order. Like staying hydrated and being active, eating well, consistency in routines and medication time...Etc Etc.
Get it all right or do it wrong
Peace

2024.05.20 23:23 Electronic_Horse_980 Comparing All on 4 vs All on 6 Dental Implants at Clean Smiley

Clean Smiley is renowned for its advanced Clean Smiley Dental Treatments, which include a variety of dental implant solutions designed to restore smiles and improve oral health. Among the most popular treatments offered are the All on 4 and All on 6 dental implants, both of which provide effective solutions for patients with significant tooth loss.
The All on 4 dental implant technique involves placing four implants in the jawbone to support a full arch of prosthetic teeth. This method is highly efficient, often requiring less bone density and shorter recovery times compared to traditional implants. It is particularly suitable for patients who have experienced bone loss but wish to avoid bone grafting procedures. The strategic placement of the implants allows for a stable and secure foundation, making it a popular choice for many.
On the other hand, the All on 6 dental implant technique uses six implants to support a full arch of teeth. This approach offers additional stability and support due to the increased number of implants. As a result, the prosthetic teeth can better withstand the forces of chewing and provide a more natural feel. This method is often recommended for patients with sufficient bone density and those seeking a more durable and long-term solution.
Both All on 4 and All on 6 dental implants have their unique advantages and are part of the comprehensive Clean Smiley Dental Treatments portfolio. Choosing between the two depends on individual patient needs, bone health, and personal preferences. The experienced team at Clean Smiley works closely with each patient to determine the most suitable option, ensuring optimal results and satisfaction.
Clean Smiley offers top-notch dental care with its innovative implant techniques. Whether opting for All on 4 or All on 6 dental implants, patients can trust that they are receiving the highest quality of care and expertise, tailored to meet their specific dental needs.

2024.05.20 20:36 Moneyhungry6220 Medical ID bracelet?

Does anyone wear a medical ID bracelet or pendant for TN
In my case if the worst happens and the horrible nerve pain hits- the only thing that helps me is ice water and a hydrocodone- if the pain hits and I pass out from the pain, the hospital cant do much -maybe give me hydrocodone- maybe morphine will help but I have not tried it. Thankfully I have had only one horrible pain bout which was may of 2022 when I went to the ER and was diagnosed with this evil disorder. I live in fear daily that horrible pain will hit again. The oxcarbazepine twice daily has kept the main TN nerve pain away but there is always that chance over time, the meds will stop working. Does anyone else carry a hydrocodone with them in case the horrible pain hits? My neurologist gave me some but of course I hope to never have to use them. You have the downside that the hydrocodone takes 25 mins or so to kick in.
Has anyone had a sudden intense out of the blue TN attack? How was it dealt with? Did you scream or pass out? Did anyone around you have a clue what was wrong?
For me I had inner cheek soreness on the left side of the mouth for about a week before the actual TN nerve pain wave hit me and thankfully drinking ice water helped stop the pain instantly. When the pain waves started to come every 2 mins or so, that is when I went to the ER and got the diagnosis of this horrible thing I had never heard of before. I just assumed at the time I had a really bad sinus infection causing the left side facial pain.
Before I buy an alert bracelet for my TN issue, I just wanted some feedback.
Thank you so much

2024.05.20 19:17 Time_Strike478 Crotch/Butt Sweat

Hey What tips/lifestyle advice do you have for crotch/groin sweat? Been dealing with this since 2018 and have tried a few things. Tried a bunch of antiperirants but never found one for that area that didn't sting or burn as well as they didn't work well. Oral glyco tried the pills they work but I hate the side effects with them and playing around with the timing of dose and how food can reduce the effects. Qbrexa just got these and they work but still get a killer dry mouth from them. Keep in mind I did swipe a few times in the groin vs just once so that might play a role. Botox is expensive and no one near my area does it for groin.
Lifestyle things I've tried and learned
Cotton underwear is comfortable
Plastic chairs are ur enemy
Any synthetic material makes mine worse and makes me feel even more uncomfortable
Gym,Sex, stress, peeing/ bowel movements make it worse
Would appreciate any advice you guys have. My friend took his liife because of Hh and I miss her soo much. I wish she would have found this reddit and tried a few other things and therapy šŸ˜•
