2024.05.21 21:39 yappingcollies Problems with HP OfficeJet Pro 7740

I recently got a new phone, so I had to re download all my apps. Since then, the connection to my printer via HP Smart has been really futzy. It sometimes (but not always) cuts of the top of my pages. I can't seem to figure out any rhyme or reason for it. I've tried using different apps but they don't seem to make any difference. Does anyone have any ideas?
The first photo is the way the document prints from my phone, the second is from my computer. There's nothing wrong with the pdf.
Also, I'd love to be able to "save ink/toner" while printing from my phone. Does anybody know of an app that has that as an option?
Thanks for any help!

Best Online Casino Bonuses

There are dozens of real money online casinos in the US, and that means that competition for customers can be fierce. But that’s very good news for you as operators will offer a wide range of casino bonuses and promotions.
We’ve gone ahead and listed the most common of these bonuses offered by the best online real money casinos.

Welcome Bonuses

The vast majority of real money online casinos will offer a welcome bonus to all new users. This will see you earn bonus credit or bonus funds for simply signing up and making a deposit. You can then use the bonus credit to play real money casino games. Just bear in mind that you may need to make a minimum deposit before you can grab the bonus.

Deposit Bonuses

A deposit bonus is when real money casinos will match a deposit by a certain percentage. For example, if you get a 100% deposit match bonus on a $100 deposit, you will receive an additional $100 in bonus credit. This can then be used to play real money casino games, but you will have to meet some wagering requirements before you can cash out your bonus funds.

No Deposit Bonuses

No deposit bonuses are available at some real money online casinos but not all. These promotions are the best value as they don’t require you to make any deposit using your own cash. This gives you the chance to test drive an online casino to see if it’s what you’re looking for. These bonuses also have wagering requirements you will have to meet before you can withdraw your winnings.

Free Spins

Free spin bonuses are exactly what they sound like. They offer you free spins on specific slots titles. The idea here is to promote games from a certain provider or introduce new slots. Like the no deposit bonus, this is a great way to try out a game before using your own cash.

Reload Bonuses

A reload bonus is very similar to a deposit match bonus and quite common at real money online casinos. You make a deposit and the casino will match it by a certain percentage. These promotions are run on a regular basis with some of the best online casinos for real money offering them every week.

Bonus Terms and Conditions

Bonuses and promotions at real money online casinos in the USA have terms and conditions that can have an impact on the value of the bonus. That’s why you should read those Ts and Cs carefully and know exactly what they mean. Here are a few terms you’ll come across.
Wagering Requirements
Wagering requirements at real money online casinos can also be referred to as ‘playthrough’ or ‘rollover’. This is listed as a multiple and simply tells you the number of times you need to wager the bonus amount before you can withdraw it as cash.
So say you have a bonus wagering requirement of 25x on a bonus amount of $100. This means that you will need to place wagers totaling $2,500 (25 x $10) before you can withdraw the bonus as cash. This is possibly the most important thing to look out for on a promotion because a high wagering requirement on a high-value bonus might be hard to hit.
Time Limits / Expiry
There are two types of time limits – the time you have to take up the offer and the time you have to use your bonus funds and hit those wagering requirements. The first one is simple enough. Once you sign up at a real money casino, you’ll have anything from a few days up to a month to take up your welcome bonus offer.
The second one can be a bit trickier. US online casinos will set a time limit on your offer and you have to use your bonus and hit the wagering requirement before that time is up. If you don’t make it , you could lose any unused bonus credit.
Minimum Deposits
This is a very basic condition of any real money online casino promo when there is a deposit involved. The minimum deposit, as you may have guessed already, is the least amount of money you can deposit to activate the bonus.
Now here’s the thing – a minimum deposit for a promotion may be higher than the regular minimum at a casino. And in some cases, the minimum deposit amount may change if it’s a bonus made up of several smaller bonuses. For example, a deposit match and free spins bonus over two deposits might require a minimum of $20 for the first deposit and $50 for the second deposit to unlock the free spins.
Winning Limits
Real money online casinos will pretty much give you free money just to get you playing their games. But there’s only so much free money they can hand out. So understandably, they put a limit on how much you can win using your bonus cash.
It’s not a condition that you need to worry about too much though. After all, a bonus is free money, right? But just remember that you won’t win any massive progressive jackpots with that bonus cash.
Game Eligibility
Remember what we said about wagering requirements? Well, not all games contribute towards those requirements. Promotions tend to exclude some games like roulette so check the Ts and Cs.
Games that are eligible will contribute towards your requirement at different rates. For example, slots may have a rate of 100% while the rate for table games could be 50%. This means that if you play $100 on the slots then $100 is taken off your wagering requirement. If you play $100 on a table game, then only $50 counts towards the requirement.
Restrictions
This is a little different to games eligibility because it has nothing to do with your wagering requirement. To put it simply, these are games that you cannot use your bonus funds on.
Even the best online casinos may restrict bonus use for games like live dealer games or any games that have large prizes such as progressive jackpots. You may also be restricted from entering contests using your bonus.

Best Online Casino Games

One of the benefits of playing at a top real money online casino in the US is that you get access to hundreds of games as soon as you sign up. With instant play online casinos, you don’t have to download any additional software to start playing. Simply go to the site and you’re all set. And the best online casinos might even offer many of these games in demo mode for you to try out.

Slots

Slots are one of the most popular real money online casino games. You can spin the reels to hit winning combinations called paylines, unlock bonus features and win real money. But it’s not just about matching a few symbols, there are often multiple ways to win. Slots with the Megaways mechanic can have thousands of paylines.
Real money slots also come in a massive range of themes and styles covering everything from safari themes to ancient Egypt and even rock bands. And don’t be surprised if there are hundreds or even thousands to choose from at the best online casinos.

Progressive Jackpots

A progressive jackpot is a type of prize that you’ll find in some slot titles. These jackpots grow with each and every wager that is placed on the game. The most popular jackpot slots pool wagers from players all over the world and not just the casino itself.
The biggest progressive jackpots at online casinos for real money can sometimes reach millions of dollars. In fact , the largest progressive jackpot win of all time was $23.6 million won by a player in Belgium in 2021. The jackpot was won on the Absolutely Mad variant of Mega Moolah.

Roulette

Online roulette brings this ever-popular table game into the world of online casinos. Pick a number or color and place your bet. Then wait to see if the ball lands on your pick. It’s one of the simplest games to pick up but there are actually a few variants that you can choose from.
The best online casinos will have American, European, and French roulette variants. Some real money online casinos will even offer multi-wheel roulette where you can bet on two or three wheels at a time. Unsurprisingly, roulette is also hugely popular in live casinos.

Blackjack

Blackjack is a classic casino card game where you try to beat the dealer by getting as close to 21 as possible. While the game is simple enough with a straight bet on your hand, there are plenty of side bets to bring a little more action to the table. For example, you can bet on the Lucky Ladies – betting that your first two cards total 20.
You can play virtual blackjack at your own pace at all of the best online casinos. But if you prefer a more traditional style of play, then you can also try your hand at live dealer blackjack.

Video Poker

Most video poker casinos will offer a range of poker variants that combine skill of poker with the excitement of slot machines. It’s based on five card draw and you need to match one of several winning hands by changing or keeping the cards you are dealt. Bets are placed at the start of the game.
Each variant comes with its own set of rules and payout structures that can vary quite a bit. As you can imagine, you’ll need to have some basic poker skills to master this game. It’s also not a bad idea to follow some video poker strategies to improve your odds of winning.

Baccarat

Baccarat is a hugely popular game in land-based casinos, but not quite so popular at online casinos for real money. The goal of the game is to have a hand value closest to nine. You have a few baccarat strategies to choose from such as betting on your own hand, the banker’s hand, or a tie.
The game is available at most of the best real money casinos online in a virtual format. But it’s the live casinos where you’ll find the real action. Live tables are

Live Dealer Games

You can feel like you’re stepping onto the casino floor when you play at live dealer casinos. These casinos offer live streams of table games with professional dealers. All the games have the exact same rules as those you’d find at land-based casinos and you can even communicate with the dealer via chat.
Table games like blackjack, baccarat, and roulette are the most popular games. But in recent times, the gameshow has risen to the top with innovative games like Deal or No Deal and, believe it or not, Monopoly.

Best US Online Casino Payment Methods

Any online casino with real money games should have a solid set of payment options to choose from. Below, we’ve listed the most common.

Credit Cards

Credit cards are widely accepted at the best USA online casinos. They provide a safe, secure, and fast method for deposits, and as most people already have one, they’re super convenient. Withdrawals are a different matter though as very few casinos will payout to a credit card.
It’s also worth noting that some banks may decline transactions to real money online casinos for legal reasons. For example, if gambling is restricted in your state, the bank may decline your request. There may also be fees charged when funding your online casino account.

Debit Cards

As you may know already, debit cards offer exactly the same convenience, speed, and security as credit cards. They’re also accepted by practically all real money US online casinos. And much like credit cards, many casinos don’t offer debit card withdrawals.
One big benefit of debit cards over credit cards is that there are no legal restrictions on the use of debit cards to fund gambling accounts.

eWallets

A hugely popular payment method for real money online casinos in the US, eWallets offer fast transactions with great security features. They also provide an additional layer of privacy, as your bank or credit card information isn’t shared with the online casino. However, there may be fees associated with eWallet transactions, and some online casinos may not accept certain eWallets.
Popular eWallets include PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Interestingly, the online casino industry is slowly starting to move away from older eWallets like PayPal. Even so, there are still some great casinos that accept PayPal.

Cryptocurrencies

Many of the top real money online casinos in the US now accept major cryptocurrencies for both deposits and withdrawals. These digital currencies offer some of the best security features of any payment method, and yes, that includes credit cards.
Cryptocurrency casinos let you deposit and withdraw funds with very low fees and in some cases, no fees at all. Transactions are highly secure as you don’t need to share your banking details and extremely fast. Some crypto withdrawals can be processed in hours or even minutes.
The best online casinos will accept offer a variety of crypto options including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and more. If you don’t have any crypto, casinos like TG.Casino offer you the chance to buy some using your traditional methods like debit or credit card.

Checks

The best online casinos for real money offer the complete range of payment options and, believe it or not, that includes old-school paper checks. Just pick ‘cash by check’ and the casino will send your winnings by mail.
The only drawback here is that it’s quite slow. In fact, withdrawals can take several days or even weeks. It’s all down to how fast your mail provider is and how quickly your bank can clear the check. Still a good option to have though just in case.

Wire transfers

Wire transfers are another tried and trusted method for secure and reliable deposits and withdrawals at US online casinos for real money. This is a simple transfer made directly from your bank account to the casino’s account and vice versa.
This type of transfer is very secure as your bank handles the entire process, but it takes time and can be a little on the expensive side. There may also be limits on how much you can transfer to and from your account so check with your bank first.

Tips for Real Money Online Casino Gambling

With everything you’ve read so far, picking the best online casino for real money should be pretty straightforward. But if you’re new to the online casino industry, then you might want to learn a few things about how to gamble online before you place those first wagers. Below, we’ve listed just a few of our favorite tips to get you started.

Pick a Trusted Online Casino

And by trusted we mean one that has a rock solid reputation for customer support and satisfaction. You can do this by reading reviews by people who have taken the time to actually play at casinos online for real money. That’s exactly what we do here, so picking from our recommendations is a no-brainer.

Use those Online Casino Bonus Offers

There’s great value to be found through online casino promotions whether it’s a no deposit promotion or a deposit match. Whatever is on offer, take advantage of it to give your bankroll a nice bump before you play any real money casino games.

Sign-up with More than One Online Casino

Yep, there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from signing up with five or six real money casinos. This means that you can take advantage of all those welcome bonuses and promotions. You also have a better chance of finding the best real money casino games as you have thousands of games to choose from.

Look for Mobile Online Casinos

Common sense when you think about it because we spend more time on our mobile devices each day. The best online casinos will have either a mobile app or they will be fully optimized for mobile devices. Either way, this is an absolute must.

Manage Your Bankroll

This is perhaps the most important tip of all as gambling responsibly is how you can continue to have fun day in day out. Managing your bankroll is about setting a budget and sticking to it. It’s also about finding and taking advantage of any promotions that save you spending too much of your own cash.

Responsible Gaming at Online Casinos

The best online casinos take responsible gaming very seriously and will offer help and resources if you need them. This includes things like the ability to set limits on your deposits or gaming. Many will also provide tips and guidance on spotting the early signs of problem gambling.
Online casinos try their best to help, but the best advice for anyone who needs support can be found at organizations like:

Are Online Casinos Legal in the US?

The US online casino industry first became regulated when Delaware legalized online casinos in 2012. New Jersey came soon after and both states launched regulated online casinos in 2013. At present, there are seven states that have regulated online casino markets – Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.

2024.05.20 18:54 TheSexyMario777 Theory: Steve is an Avatar

Avatars. In the SMG4 series, they are entities that are essentially the center of any given universe/dimension. They are the most prominent figure in a dimension, as their death would cause the complete destruction of that given dimension, as well as anyone still in it while it's being destroyed. Luckily, this usually wouldn't happen, as (with a few exceptions) avatars are immortal. There are only three characters within the SMG4 series that are known and confirmed to be avatars. Those characters are Fred, Spudnick, and the most prominent of the three, Mario.
However, I don't believe that these are the only three avatars. I believe that there are more avatars; characters who have been hiding in plain sight for years. I believe that Steve, the lovable, blocky, chicken-loving goofball, is an avatar.
Now, in order to classify any character as an avatar, we'd have to classify what makes a character an avatar. In order to do this, we would have to compare the three confirmed avatars. Firstly, Fred, Spudnick, and Mario are all prominently characterized by the color red. Fred has red skin and a red scarf and hat, Spudnick also has red skin, and Mario is mainly seen wearing his iconic red shirt and hat.
Speaking of hats, all three characters wear hats with the first letter of their name printed on it. Finally, both Mario and Spudnick are seen to be pretty stupid, and likely each have their own obsession. While Mario has his obvious unhealthy obsession and addiction to spaghetti, it is possible that Spudnick has a similar relationship with his teddy bear, as throughout his one and only appearance, he is seen asking around and looking for his teddy bear, as well as chasing the person who took it through various Newgrounds games.
Despite Mario and Spudnick sharing these traits of stupidity and obsessions, Fred didn't appear to have any of these traits. Instead, he is friendly, happy, optimistic, and seemingly normal. However, this could be due to the fact that Fred's SMGs didn't originate from Guardian Pods; SMG0 originated from Mage and had his Guardian Pod brought to him, while Niles didn't even have a Guardian Pod, as he was created artificially by the God Box. This is further supported by the fact that Fred's character traits are similar to Mario's traits before he was affected by SMG4's Guardian Pod. (And considering this, it is also likely that Spudnick was also like this before the arrival of SMG1 and SMG2. This is especially likely due to the fact that his game, Spudnick's Great Adventure, appeared to be an educational game.)
Finally, all three characters are seen as main characters in video games from the Great Beyond. Fred is Player1 in an early 1980s combat game called Mage, Spudnick is the guide of an educational game on Newgrounds called Spudnick's Great Adventure, and Mario is, of course, the main character of the iconic Super Mario franchise.
Now, let's look at Steve. He is the playable main character of Minecraft, and has been shown to be immensely dumb throughout the series (at one point, he was shown to be the only character in the series that was dumber than Mario, though he seems to have gotten a bit smarter). He also has been shown to be obsessed with chickens, similarly to how Mario is obsessed with spaghetti and how Spudnick was probably obsessed with his teddy bear. However, unlike the other three, he is characterized by the color blue, as he wears a teal shirt and blue pants. He also has no hat. And despite being stupid, no meme guardians and Guardian Pods have never been mentioned regarding Minecraft.
However, it has never been said that an avatar has to have all of these traits in order to be an avatar. According to the lore, avatars are simply defined as the most powerful being in a given universe, and whose life is essential to the existence of a universe. Still, it's important to take these similarities into account when classifying characters as avatars and ask "Why is Steve different?" I'll get into why I believe Steve is different. For now, we'll go over why I believe Steve is an avatar in the first place.
For one, as I stated earlier, Steve is the main character of his own game, Minecraft. However, that's not all. In the SMG4 series, Minecraft has been shown to be a separate dimension from the main SMG4 Universe. Being the main playable character within your own universe would essentially make that character the "center" of the universe. Both Link and Kirby are also characters who appear in SMG4 and are the main characters of their own game; however, neither of them (not even Kirby) can be avatars, as both Hyrule and Planet Popstar are located within the main SMG4 Universe.
Now, let's look into Minecraft itself. In most game modes, the player (Steve) has infinite lives. Also, in Minecraft, Steve doesn't age, which means that he can't die from old age. These two traits combined would make Steve essentially immortal. They are also traits that are shared by Mario, as in the episode super mario 64 bloopers: castle jumping = time tavelling = zombies, a future version of Mario is seen thousands of years into the future, where he is seen still alive and the same age as the current Mario. (However, in SMG4: The Weegee Uprising, far into the future, Mario is dead, and one of his descendants is seen in his place. It is possible that an avatar's status as an avatar can be passed down to children, allowing the original avatar to age and die, similarly to Boss Monsters from Undertale. All of this is just speculation, though, and how canon that episode is in the first place is debatable.)
Anyways, there is one game mode different from all the rest in Minecraft. In Hardcore Mode, the player (Steve) only gets one life. And if he dies in that world, then the world gets deleted; very similar to what happens to a universe when an avatar dies.
However, we don't even have to dig as deep as the game. The other reason why I believe Steve is an avatar is because of his powers. In both of the SMG4 power level tier lists, Steve is ranked in S-Tier as one of the strongest characters within the entire series. And while I don't usually agree entirely with their rankings, looking through the series as a whole, it checks out. As early as 2014, in Super Pokeman 64: Gyms and Badges, Steve was shown to turn into a demonic, winged beast when Mario tried to retrieve his Pokemon from him, as Steve took it while thinking it was a chicken. Then, in Ssnemodnar 7 of the same year, Steve was shown to be able to turn into Captain Steve, a form in which he showcased the abilities of flight and superhuman strength.
In Steve Fights Everyone, Steve was once again shown to be capable of abilities such as flight and teleportation, as well as superhuman strength, speed, and agility; being shown to punch characters into orbit, dodging attacks speeding towards him like it was nothing. He also moved very quickly in general, with him punching at Sans so quickly that it looked like he had multiple arms. Steve has the ability to carry an abnormal amount of items at once within his inventory, as well as summoning blocks from the sky. He also has superhuman durability, as he reattached his head after being decapitated like it was nothing,
In WOTFI 2020, Steve once again showcased the ability of teleportation, as he teleported behind Rob during the Minecraft 1v1 challenge. In the same challenge, he again showcased his superhuman agility by easily dodging the arrow speeding towards him (that was shot by Meggy) like it was nothing, before shooting the arrow out of Meggy's hand. Then, when she threatened his chicken to stop his attack, Steve summoned an army of chickens to do his bidding.
However, the biggest showcase of Steve's power was in the episode SMG4: Mario VS Steve. In this episode, Mario and Steve fight hand-to-hand, and Steve is able to keep up with Mario, the universe's avatar. (Albeit, Mario wasn't using his full power, but still.) However, the real event is at the end of the episode, when Mario makes Steve so angry that he goes Super Saiyan; punching Mario through walls and showcasing all the powers he did beforehand, but to an even greater extent. (The powers that I just listed are also all powers that Mario has been shown to be capable of in the past.)
But why is Steve so powerful? Where does he get his power from? We know that Mario is an avatar, Melony has the Fierce Deity mask, Niles got his power from the God Box, and so on. But why is Steve so powerful? Well, the only way to explain it is that Steve is an avatar himself.
Now, while Steve is very similar to Mario (and presumably the other avatars) in terms of powers, personality, and background, you have to wonder: Why is Steve so different physically? And why doesn't he have any SMGs? Well, I have a theory for this. I believe that some of these requirements for avatars (like being red and having SMGs) are only present for avatars in big universes. (Mage may not have been a big universe, but it can be the exception, as it was the first and set the boundaries for everything to come afterwards. This might have been possible due to Luke creating a game or a ROM hack that already had memes to create the first universe instead of downloading memes into an already existing game like he usually does.)
Anyways, a big universe would probably just be a game that connects to a lot of other games. Spudnick's Great Adventure is a Newgrounds game, and therefore would connect to other Newgrounds games. This is even proven in SMG4: The Other Universe. Mario's universe would be a big universe as it's Nintendo, and would therefore connect to other Nintendo games, as well as games partnered with Nintendo. Places like Hyrule and Planet Popstar have been proven to be part of the SMG4 Universe, while games like Minecraft and Sonic have been proven to be in alternate dimensions. The three avatars of the big universes (Fred, Spudnick, and Mario) would be the main avatars, as their worlds can expand to many others. Meanwhile, an avatar of any other universe would still be an avatar; however, they wouldn't have the traits of a main avatar because they're not a main avatar. In Steve's case, he wouldn't need to wear red, have a main avatar hat to symbolize, or need an SMG to help protect the greater universe.
All of this is further proven by the episode SMG4: Into the Marioverse. While not a canon episode, this episode introduces some interesting ideas about the universe. In this episode, Mark Zuckerberg rallies up Marios from all across the multiverse. The reason he does this is because he wants to have a bunch of universe avatars for his Metaverse. In fact, he specifically refers to all of the Marios as avatars. However, most of these smaller, pocket-dimension Marios don't have the specific main avatar traits, either. Some don't wear red, most don't have the lettered hat, and some (like Grand Dad) don't even have SMGs. But they're all still avatars. Avatars of their own dimensions/pocket dimensions. They just don't need that stuff because they're not one of the main avatars.
Being the avatar of Minecraft, a smaller dimension connected to Mario's dimension due to ties with Nintendo, Steve doesn't need to be classified with the main universe avatars that branch out to other dimensions. With that being said, Steve is still an avatar, and is still gifted with the same abilities as the rest of the avatars in order to protect their dimension. This is the source of his immortality and immense power. However, because he's not a main avatar, he doesn't need things like Guardian Pods or SMGs to protect the greater universe. He just needs to worry about his own dimension. This is why Steve has such great, immense power (power that, once again, hasn't been shown by any other characters other than Mario) despite not having SMGs and having variations in appearance to the main avatars.
This is also probably why Zero didn't come after Minecraft. Since Mario is a main avatar whose universe is connected to more universes, Zero could take over more land to claim as his own universe. Also, in order to even do this, he needed the power of Guardian Pods; something that Steve's world of Minecraft doesn't have.
And in case you were wondering how Steve became stupid without having his own Guardian Pod, the answer is very simple; he was simply bastardized by SMG4's Guardian Pod like everyone else. In SMG4: Mario Babies, Steve was shown to already have access to the Mushroom Kingdom (likely via his Nether Portal), as in Luigi's flashback, Steve can be seen in the background. (It's also important to note that in this episode, during Luigi's flashback, Steve can be seen at the same age he is now while Mario and Luigi were still babies, further implying that Steve doesn't age and is immortal.) Anyways, he was probably in the Mushroom Kingdom when SMG4 arrived and was bastardized that way.
(Also, in extension to this, Sonic is also probably an avatar. In the games, he has been shown to be incredibly powerful due to his speed and strength, as well as the Chaos Emeralds. He also has been shown to live in an alternate universe in the Sonic the Derphog series. Sonic's friends and Eggman were probably bastardized as a result of some sort of kidnapping scheme by Eggman, as he was shown to have a device that could travel dimensions. My guess is that he kidnapped Sonic's friends while SMG4 was arriving, only to be bastardized that way.)
So to summarize, Steve is an avatar just like Mario. They're both main characters of their own video game, both kind of stupid, both insanely powerful, and can both be complete lunatics when it comes to their obsessions. However, the variations in appearance between Steve and the three main avatars come from the fact that he's the avatar of a smaller dimension. This is further proven by the fact that pocket-dimension versions of Mario (who are confirmed to still be avatars) also have these physical variations when compared to the main three avatars.
But hey...

2024.05.19 08:42 DigitalSplendid Connecting an existing Python web application with another API

As part of CS50 Week 9 project, I have this finance project completed: https://cs50.harvard.edu/x/2024/psets/9/finance/
Now, I intend to connect this project with Zerodha API (https://kite.trade/) instead of current Yahoo Finance API.
Not sure though I understand it is unlikely that all the Python files Zerodha has as part of their API docs (https://github.com/zerodha/pykiteconnect) to be added to my Codespace. The reason I feel so is Yahoo Finance too might have their own set of Python files as part of their API docs which were never added. They rather perhaps need to be imported using import command.
The configuration was made in helpers.py for Yahoo Finance API:

 # Prepare API request symbol = symbol.upper() end = datetime.datetime.now(pytz.timezone("US/Eastern")) start = end - datetime.timedelta(days=7) # Yahoo Finance API url = ( f"https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/download/{urllib.parse.quote_plus(symbol)}" f"?period1={int(start.timestamp())}" f"&period2={int(end.timestamp())}" f"&interval=1d&events=history&includeAdjustedClose=true" ) # Query API try: response = requests.get( url, cookies={"session": str(uuid.uuid4())}, headers={"Accept": "*/*", "User-Agent": request.headers.get("User-Agent")}, ) response.raise_for_status() # CSV header: Date,Open,High,Low,Close,Adj Close,Volume quotes = list(csv.DictReader(response.content.decode("utf-8").splitlines())) price = round(float(quotes[-1]["Adj Close"]), 2) return {"price": price, "symbol": symbol} except (KeyError, IndexError, requests.RequestException, ValueError): return None def usd(value): """Format value as USD.""" return f"${value:,.2f}"
Modified the same for Zerodha:
ef lookup(symbol): """Look up quote for symbol using Zerodha Kite Connect API.""" # Prepare API request symbol = symbol.upper() headers = {"X-Kite-version": "3"} # Specify API version # Endpoint URL with placeholder for access token and symbol url = f"https://api.kite.trade/data/v3/instruments/{symbol}" # Read access token from config file securely try: config = ConfigParser() config.read('config.py') # Assuming config.py is in the same directory access_token = config.get('DEFAULT', 'ZERodha_ACCESS_TOKEN') except (FileNotFoundError, KeyError): # Handle missing config file or key gracefully print("Error: Configuration file or access token not found.") return None .....................................................
Although the above for Zerodha is still not functional, is it correct that if the above portion of the code configured correctly, I can connect the proposed web application with Zerodha API?
UPDATE:
ChatGPT apparently solved this query:
Yes, you're on the right track. If you configure the portion of the code correctly to interact with the Zerodha API, you should be able to connect your web application to the Zerodha API.
Here are some key points to consider:
  1. API Endpoint: Ensure that you're using the correct endpoint for the Zerodha API. The endpoint you're accessing in the lookup function (https://api.kite.trade/data/v3/instruments/{symbol}) seems appropriate for retrieving instrument data.
  2. Authentication: Make sure you're handling authentication correctly. It appears that you're attempting to read the Zerodha access token from a config file. Ensure that the access token is valid and that your application has the necessary permissions to access the Zerodha API.
  3. Error Handling: Implement robust error handling to handle cases where the Zerodha API request fails or returns unexpected data. This includes handling exceptions such as FileNotFoundError, KeyError, and requests.RequestException as you've done in your code.
  4. Testing: Once you've configured the code to interact with the Zerodha API, thoroughly test your application to ensure that it retrieves data correctly and handles errors gracefully.
By addressing these points and making sure that your code interacts correctly with the Zerodha API, you should be able to connect your web application to the Zerodha API successfully.

It seems that pykiteconnect is not available for installation via pip in your current environment. This could be due to various reasons, such as the package not being hosted on PyPI or not being compatible with your Python version.
You might want to double-check if pykiteconnect is available on PyPI by searching for it directly on the PyPI website or by consulting the official documentation or repository of Zerodha.
If pykiteconnect is not available on PyPI, you may need to install it using alternative methods, such as downloading the source code from the official repository and installing it manually, or using a package manager specific to your operating system.
Once you have successfully installed pykiteconnect, you should be able to import it into your Python scripts and use it to interact with the Zerodha API.

It seems that pykiteconnect might not be available via PyPI for installation using pip. If you've registered for the Publisher program with Zerodha and it mentions that there's no API access and instead offers HTML/Javascript buttons and basket, then pykiteconnect might not be the right tool for your use case.
In this scenario, you might want to check the documentation or resources provided by Zerodha for the Publisher program to understand how you can integrate their features using HTML/Javascript buttons and baskets.
If you specifically need to interact with the Zerodha API programmatically and pykiteconnect is not suitable, you might need to explore other options provided by Zerodha or consider contacting their support for further assistance on how to integrate their services with your application.

2024.05.17 22:35 loafofbread_17 Friend’s PS+ expired, can I still play games downloaded from his account if I get PS+?

Hey everyone. I’ve been borrowing my friend’s ps+ subscription via logging in to my PS4 with his account and activating my PS4 as primary (from his account). I’ve downloaded games from the ps+ catalogue and would like to play them however since his subscription has expired, it won’t let me. I’ve got loads of games with a lock symbol on them saying that the content belongs to my friend.
My question is this: If I buy ps+ on my account, will I be able to access and play the games straight away even though they were downloaded from his account and that his account has the licenses for the games?

2024.05.17 17:10 WarmanesOldtimer Think I broke my PC..

So I have a HP ProDesk 600 desktop that's stuck in an 'undo changes' loop after experiencing a series of issues. It all started when I attempted to defragment it, which took an unusually long time, leading me to cancel the process. Following this, I tried to restore it to an earlier backup date but encountered difficulty locating the backup. Consequently, I opted for a factory reset without losing files, but the 'reinstall Windows' option wasn't available initially. After enabling it and attempting the reset again, the process stalled at 73% for nearly an hour. Following advice online, I restarted the desktop, prompting a repair prompt, but it eventually led back to the 'undo changes' loop.
I have another working laptop running Windows 10, and I've already downloaded a Windows 10 ISO file onto it. Could you assist me remotely in fixing the ProDesk 600 by connecting them via Ethernet, enabling network booting, and booting from the ISO file? If the issue is hardware-related, I suspect it might be the hard drive. If it turns out to be the hard drive, I can replace it quickly with one from my HP laptop as they use the same size hard drives. I'd appreciate your guidance through the process. Thank you!

The 3TB of quad channel HPE Smart memory lets you create a RAM mirror for ultimate data integrity and still have 1.5TB.
Thanks to it's 4 CPU's and 3TB Ram you can even run Windows 10/11 Pro workstation if you want windows but don't want to license server edition. And it will really fly with any distro of Linux.
Stock ILO is on the server but tere is a 120GB SSD in the drive bay with ISO of the ILO mod if you want to lower fan speed (at 70% speed they can run full cooling at 100% load and still be quiet from the next room). The SSD also had the latest HPE Proliant Service Pack downloaded.
Specs
4x Intel 8890v3 18-core/36-thread CPUs (2.5ghz base up to 3.3ghz turbo boost) - 72 cores/144 threads total 96 x 32GB DDR4 2133MHZ Quad-Channel HPE Smart Memory at 85GB/s - 3TB Total! 2x SN1000Q 16GB Dual port Fibre Channel Host Bus 4x HP Ethernet 10GB 2-Port 530SFP+ Adapter Card Ethernet 1GbE 4 port 4x 1500W Platinum Plus 240V Power Supply
I believe the server motherboard should also be able to handle the 8890v4 CPU should you want to upgrade from 72 cores to 96!
Price is $3600 + Shipping (will ship in 2 boxes) via Paypal invoice.
Free local pickup in Salt Lake Area ( with $100 discount available for local pickup and select payment methods). And if you are picking up you're also welcome to an (admittedly dusty) - 42U Hitachi rack with 240 power strips built-in - for free that's been sitting in my garage.

2024.05.16 20:37 anger_is_my_meat VMware workstation issues with vmmon and vmnet

Currently running Fedora 37 with kernel 6.5.12-100.fc37.x86_64. I pulled the latest version of Workstation (VMware-Workstation-Full-17.0.0-20800274.x86_64.bundle) and installed it without issue. On first run, it needs to install vmmon and vmnet. Then it throws the error message "Unable to install all modules". The logs mostly look fine until we get to this:

Okay, so nothing immediately helpful to someone as unskilled as myself. I hit up ChatGPT and got some advice:
cd vmware-host-modules
git checkout workstation-16.2.3
make
sudo make install
So I gave that a shot. Got this response:
Your branch is up to date with 'origin/workstation-16.2.3'.

This seems to be a pretty common problem. I head over to a KB article from Broadcom. (Broadcom supports VMware?) but that had no effect whatsoever. Problem remains.
I bounced around various forums. Tried this.
This didn't work either.
Tried this from github and at the make step it throws this:
make[4]: *** [scripts/Makefile.modpost:144: /home/useDownloads/vmware-host-modules/vmware-host-modules-workstation-17.0.0/vmmon-only/Module.symvers] Error 1

So I'm stumped. Could there be a kernel issue? What am I missing?

2024.05.16 12:41 No_Avocado4745 What Are the Steps for HP Printer Driver Installation on Windows?

Installing HP printer drivers on Windows involves several steps. Start by downloading the latest driver software from the HP website. Launch the downloaded file, then follow the installation prompts on the screen. Connect the HP printer to your computer via USB or ensure it's on the same network. Windows will detect the printer and prompt you to complete the installation. If not, go to "Devices and Printers" in Control Panel, select "Add a Printer," and follow the prompts. Once installed, test the printer by printing a test page. Proper installation ensures seamless functionality and optimal performance of your HP printer on Windows.

2024.05.16 05:55 GtrPlyr_83 Question about Bias FX 2 Elite and PC RAM

So, I am running Bias FX 2 Elite on my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg0067st, which came with 12 GB of RAM and a 512 GB M.2 SSD for storage. I've noticed that sometimes, even when running in standalone mode, that I get artifacts in my tones, and other times, when I'm really jammin' and playing some heavier stuff the program will go from sounding really great, as it should, to just going off the wall, and getting ugly sounding, and at times will even cut the audio out all together.
I am curious as to what causes this. I guess it's also worth mentioning that I am plugging my guitar in to my Pavilion laptop via a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface (firmware version 1605) . Sample rate is 44.1 kHz, with a buffer size of 128. My round-trip latency is 15.2ms - (666 samples), and I am in "safe mode". I am getting ready to upgrade my PC since I am going to already be opening it up in order to install a new fan, which it needs just because the original one isn't doing so hot, and I don't like my laptop getting too, well, hot.
I plan on installing a Crucial 32 GB RAM kit (which will consist of two 16 GB sticks), as well as a storage upgrade in the form of a Crucial 2TB M.2 PCle NVMe SSD. These upgrades will obviously work wonders for my trusty laptop (which is about 3 years old at this point in time, and has been a great PC, which I have not had a single issue/problem with throughout the entire time I've owned it thus far) from many different angles, one of the biggest improvements of which, I assume will be my performance when using multiple plug-ins while recording/tracking in Reaper, in which I always only use either Bias FX 2 Elite, or Amplitube as far as my plug-ins are concerned.
I am just wondering if these audio anomalies and such which are occurring as I am playing guitar, might be another item which I might expect to see some improvement upon once I have completed these fixes and upgrades. I learned very early on, that if one expects to be able to play using BIAS FX 2, without experiencing a noticeable amount of latency (or any other plug-in for that matter), that RAM is one's best friend. The more RAM one has, the better these programs will run. More seamlessly, and with less latency. So, I know that I will be improving my usage of BIAS FX 2 Elite, I am just curious as to which ways I might expect to see noticeable improvements, aside from the fact that I should be able to get round-trip latency way down, to a point where it will not be noticeable at all anymore, and more like playing on an actual amplifier.
It's definitely sweet to be able to jam using my computer as a means of amplification. But any considering taking this leap for themselves, who have not already, be warned, it is absolutely NOT, just as simple as purchasing a license, downloading some software, and BOOM, you're in the game! Unfortunately, there is a great deal more involved than that, the main thing being, the fact that regardless whether you are sporting a MAC, or a PC, either way, it must be a relatively powerful machine. Positive Grid's website states that a minimum of 8 GB of RAM is required to run BIAS FX 2. However, based upon personal experience, and the fact that almost all of us are going to have other programs and apps being put to use on our computers, other than just what is necessary to play our guitars - think, DAWs for example... because chances are, if you are interested in playing guitar on your MAC or PC, then you are almost certainly going to want to start doing some tracking/recording as well... and that's still just sticking to the guitar related stuff - , I would highly recommend investing in a desktop, or laptop with absolutely no less than 16 GB of RAM.

2024.05.15 01:00 Either_Remote1341 Trying to restore the files on an ssd

so ive got an omen 15 hp laptop that i dropped from my desk onto the floor. i booted it up and got a 3FO error telling me to download an operating system to my hard disk. i had a feeling that the ssd itself had gotten knocked out of place and so i tried cleaning up the port a little and putting it back in snugly. didnt work so i checked the other parts by trying to boot with a usb and hirens (succeeded, got to desktop, fully working) a windows installation tool (got to the installation part and saw the normal omen loading screen) as well as ventoy which loaded a few things before going black with a popping white line in the top left which it wouldnt let me do anything further. all tests were run with the ssd outside of the laptop besides one ventoy test, in which case the result was similar to the non ssd ventoy test but it just took much longer to load.
I believe this means all parts are working besides the ssd, which is great! but i want the files on the ssd back. i plugged it into my pc via an external hard disk but that is currently giving me the prompt (D:\ is not accessible." "incorrect function" i also attempted to plug it into one of my ssd slots directly however my pc started acting a little weird. my rgb flickered on for a second after i hit the power switch but went back off. and wouldnt do so again unless i unplugged the cord and then flipped the power switch on again. i was concerned by this and forgot to hit the actual power button to my pc and so im not sure whether or not that actually mattered, but after i removed the ssd it did the exact same thing., but upon hitting the power button it turned on. im not sure if putting it in via an external hard disk to usb or slotting it directly into my motherboard makes that big of a difference but i figured it would be best to include.

2024.05.14 17:56 ClaimSalt1697 A MASTER LIST of real world tie-ins to ACOTAR: Part 1—Characters & Courts ✨🌙

⚠️ WARNING: Maasverse Spoilers—Proceed with Caution ⚠️

-----------------
Part 1: Characters and Courts - YOU ARE HERE
Part 2: World Map, Items, Terms & Other
-----------------

Well, here we go. A master list of all things ACOTAR + the "real" world.

Now, do I believe every single name and location on this list was chosen by SJM with a specific real-world allusion in mind? Of course not. But when you look at the similarities, you'd be hard pressed to deny some of their very probable relations.
As far as this list goes, I've provided what was within my ability to find—coupling each with that which made the most sense relationally—though several definitions would appear to have zero connection to the story at large.
I can't promise perfection. Heck, I can't even promise 100% accuracy (though I did cross-reference the more obscure sources). And I will gladly welcome any missing pieces and/or additional insight you may have.
\Note: If a character or place/item is minor enough, I've included a reminder of their book roles.*

So come on, friends. Let's dive on in.
