everyday i mourn the amazing username I had that was taken from me due to copyright reasons YEARS after I had made the account
I’ve been playing AJ since 2013-2014. After a few years on my first account I decided to make a new account with a better username, I transferred my items and membership to this account and started using it as my main. I was very happy with my username, it was a reference to my all time favorite game, spelled exactly the same and I felt lucky it wasn’t taken. Fast forward to maybe a year to two years later, i log in to see my username was changed. I received an email from AJHQ saying my username was removed due to copyright reasons. At the time, I completely understood since the game was from Disney albeit a game they had already completely shut down. My username was changed to a generic name as seen above. I was not given an option to change it to something else. At this time I wasn’t playing as often and was still a child so I didn’t fight it, I accepted my username change, I also played with animal names displayed instead of usernames. Nowadays I play with usernames on, I see such creative, unique, and funny usernames and I feel sad that I’m stuck with this generic name with no way to change it. AJHQ does not offer username changes at this time and won’t for the foreseeable future. I would really prefer not to make another account since I have such a history on not only classic but now play wild with this username.
My username was RobberBaron, which is a character in my favorite game Toontown which was a mmorpg Disney game that ran from 2003-2013. RIP. It’s not that serious just wanted to rant

2024.04.24 02:28 fleecekbs I think there are better ways to nerf sound than decreasing carrying capacity

Hi folks! Hopefully this post reaches the TTR team as well. u/JoeyZio
I've been aware of the new sound changes that are coming with the Under New Management update. As a long time Toontown fan who encourages change and growth to the game, I'm happy to see new content and even a nerf come to sound. Using it everywhere over and over for years has gotten really tedious. It's overpowered. One reason why I enjoy Field Offices is because sound can be taken away for a floor or two entirely. It adds a nice variety and change of pace to the game, and provides a much-needed challenge to higher level toons.
But, I'm not particularly on board with the way the sound nerf is suggested in the upcoming update. I think there are ways to nerf sound without decreasing carrying capacity. Rather than taking something away, I think these rework suggestions actually would make battles more interesting, all while encouraging more teamwork and risk analysis. Here are some ideas I came up with:
Changing accuracy per cog: One alternative would be to change the accuracy per cog rather than the gag itself. If you use a sound gag on a group of 4 cogs, there should be a chance for each cog to cover their ears and miss. There's already an animation when drop misses where the cogs put their hands/fingers over their ears, and they could just use that for the animation. I really think this would be a good rework so toons would have to account for a backup plan, and choose when it's appropriate or not to take the risk of sound missing. It would make sound more of a situational tool rather than a "win button."
Range of damage: Another idea is each sound gag having a range of damage it does, rather than a set number. For example, Fog Horns usually do 50 damage, but with a sound rework, could deal anywhere from 40-55 damage. If two toons used a fog horn at the same time, it would be entirely possible for one fog to deal 40 damage and the other's to deal 55. Again, this would make sound more situational and may force the team to coordinate better to accommodate for risks.
I hope these ideas are useful and would implement well into the game. I really appreciate all that the TTR team does to keep the game alive and active. I'm glad they are finally addressing sound's overpowered nature but I think there are better ways to approach a sound nerf. Let me know what you think!

hi LMAO, a quick update
figured i should clear things up
u/m0nku hehe
to state the obvious, i lost interest in building this place up (for a number of reasons), and it will almost certainly stay dead. but rather than deleting it, i decided to leave it up for whenever it's needed, bc as far as i know, there is no more prominent, largely unmoderated toontown space on reddit. i'm not too interested in reddit anymore in general
i've been focusing on youtube instead, where i create the same ridiculous toontown stuff (i don't mean for this to come across as shameless advertising, it's just what i've been up to)

2024.02.27 16:45 tatemcdonalds We should be allowed to swap out one gag track for another with this update

I made a comment about this when the very first version of the patch notes was released, but I think this issue merits its own post.
Unless further changes are made, Under New Management will either directly or indirectly alter the mechanics of every single gag track that you do not start with: toon-up now no longer being able to stun, trap now being the only action that can stun for lure, lure with its new multi-lure mechanic, sound with its carrying capacity reduction, and drop with less actions that can stun for it. None of these changes could have been predicted by the average player when developing their toon perhaps as far back as 2014. We should be allowed to swap out one gag track for another if we wish if these new mechanics are going to be forced onto us.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the Toontown Rewritten team's main reason for never allowing us to have this ability was to stay true to how Disney wanted the game to be (after all, that has been TTR's whole MO). They believed that Disney wanted us to really think about and be wise with our decision, because once we make it we cannot change it. And that has been understandable... until now. Toontown Rewritten is no longer staying true to Disney's vision with these drastic changes being made to the core gameplay, so that can no longer be a reason why we cannot swap gag tracks.
The other common response whenever this idea has been brought up before is simply to make a new toon. This is not really a good argument though, especially not now. Not everyone has the time or desire to grind through the entire taskline again just to change their gag layout, and a new toon will not have any of the (possibly significant amount of) rewards that their old toon has. We should not have to start from scratch again when the core gameplay, something which has never been this drastically changed in the entire history of Toontown Rewritten, is now being altered.
I have actually been an advocate for having the ability to swap gag tracks even before this new update. Toons are forced to make their final decision in The Brrrgh, before they are even able to earn suit parts for three of the four cog departments and before they can embark on the Sellbot Task Force taskline. Think about that: toons have to decide their final gag layout before they can even do a CFO, CJ, or CEO. Toons should be able to re-evaluate which gag tracks they want when they engage with more of the late-game content.
The addition of brand new content through future updates is another reason why we should be able to change our gag tracks. Field Offices introduced a new way of having to fight the cogs, and upcoming content such as Clear Coasts will probably also introduce new battle mechanics. Future updates are things we are not able to concretely take into account for when choosing our gag tracks, so we should have the ability to switch them at some point if we want.
What I really do not understand is that this update is actually allowing us to change which extra Level 7 gag we carry (even though that was supposed to be permanent, too) because of the changes being made to the gag mechanics, even though Level 7 gags themselves are not being that directly impacted by these changes (other than general organic bonuses and Presentation accuracy being nerfed). I think it is way more important to be able to swap out one gag track for another if we want because of this update, rather than to be able to change our extra Level 7 gag.
Please let us have the ability to change our gag layout! We can earn it through a tedious toontask or by ordering a "Gag Rewrite" in the cattlelog or through some other method, but please let us be able to swap gag tracks!

2024.02.25 23:46 TheMcMuffinTTR The Shticker Foundation update: User accounts

A few weeks ago, I released a new project to revive the Toontown fishing tracker that suddenly disappeared last year. Since I announced the website four weeks ago, the website has had almost 1500 Toons added and almost 8000 fish marked.
However, I was not happy that your fishing progress would not persist across devices.
Now, the Shticker Foundation website allows user accounts or anonymous usage. You can log into your account on multiple devices and see your Toons' fishing progress. If you want to start anonymous, you can always convert your progress into an account. This update also restructures the website into a website with a fishing tracker to make room for new pages in the future.
I have the next update to the website in-work, and I'm really excited to show what I've made, but that post is coming soon.
You can create an account today at shticker.org.

2024.01.29 19:02 ScottyIce Corporate Clash Appreciation

Finally came back to this game last week while going through some stuff irl. It's my way of "going back to simpler times" if you will. Downloaded TTR, logged into my old toon, saw I was at Sellbot HQ and completely forgot what to do. Decided to start looking things up to see where I was at when I quit 9 years ago. Turns out, I found out about TT Corporate Clash and texted my brother "Hear me out: Toontown." We both started our own new toons in Corporate Clash last week and have had a blast playing whenever we can so far. The Social Panel and Zap gags plus all the other minor tweaks the team at CC has made sure helps the game feel much more engaging in combat. All I remember back in the day was blasting sound with 3 other toons and just speedrunning the game (minus the obvious skill grinds). I'm glad this has been modified in CC so now my brother and I sit in Discord all the time and treat this game like any other we would need to strategize. Plus, Clubs in this game open a very wide amount of gameplay and xp boosting to make it less "grindy" while also balancing it against progression. Trust me, I have a maxed OSRS account so grinds don't really bother me. However, my brother has very few sessions where he can sit for 1-2+ hours to play along with me. This game has kept us progressing forward, hopping to building groups, tackling kudos tasks, progressing mainline, and ultimately working together toward the mid-late game fun.
What I'm really getting at is this game has helped put my mind at ease in a rough patch irl and this time we will definitely push to complete as much that this game has to offer. A large portion of that is thanks to the team at Corporate Clash and their work to update the game. It feels good to play this game again and can't wait to see what the newer mid game looks like on that server.
Oh, and while looking to see which game to play some people mentioned a more present elitist vibe in TTCC compared to TTR. I have not seen that at all and we're already at the start of Daffodil Gardens with countless positive interactions so far.

2023.12.09 06:12 LilKittenAngel What’s the best toon you’ve ever seen?(name and design wise)

My biggest issue when playing Toontown is that I get so indecisive with my toon’s name and appearance, constantly wanting to create new accounts or change how my toon looks. I see so many creative toons on a daily basis.
What is your favorite Toon name, and appearance, you’ve seen?
I personally love unique looking toons (fat, rarer species such as horse, or multi coloured limbs.) I also love smart pun names, references and characters.
I saw a cat named Draco Meowfoy a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Also a dark blue dog named Diet Pupsi (I like toons with soda pun names lol)

The Toontown: Corporate Clash Wiki officially announces its move from Fandom to wiki.gg today! To transfer your account, go to Special:ClaimExternalAccount. If you have any questions, please join the official Corporate Clash Discord server (Clashcord), wiki.gg Discord, or ask here. I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability.
The following announcement is from @/XCoolRyan via Clashcord (with some minor grammar fixes and rewording):
With this change, we really need your help to spread the word! Additionally, the old website will no longer be supported by the current active admins and the wiki.gg site will be deemed the "official" TTCC wiki.
Tell your friends! Due to the fact that Fandom does not close wikis that migrate from their site, the old website will remain there. We also cannot announce on that website that we will be moving, since Fandom is known to retaliate, so please do not make any announcements on there. So please share this Discord announcement with your friends to let them know about the change!
Please do not use Fandom! When you are searching for our wiki or any Corporate Clash content, please avoid clicking on Fandom links! In order for our new location to always show up first, we have to tell Google/(your search engine) that we prefer the new website, https://corporateclash.wiki.gg. It may be helpful to clear your search history of Fandom pages and bookmark our new domain.
So please share this Discord announcement with your friends to let them know about the change! domain. You can also download the Redirect to wiki.gg browser extension which will hide Fandom wiki results from your search results.
Point out issues! With this change, we had to update a lot of our pages in order for them to work correctly on the new site. If you see anything out of place, can't read certain text, notice a template cutting off, etc. please ping one of the admins to let them know! We recommend you prioritize using the desktop version of the website as the mobile version isn't quite as nice/functional.
TL;DR: The old Fandom wiki won't be going away due to their Closed Wikis Policy. Do not visit Fandom at all after you reclaimed your account. Visit the new wiki more frequently to help boost it to the top web search results. Installing the Redirect to wiki.gg browser extension also helps. Ask any questions and help spread the news!
AND AGAIN, MOST IMPORTANTLY, FORGET ABOUT THE OLD WIKI.

2023.11.14 04:48 amp8991 People To Play Toontown Corporate Clash With

The title basically says it all I just started Toontown Corporate Clash for the first time today and the game is more fun with others I feel.
So I would like to have someone to play this game consistently with I guess at least as long as I want to play this game and so I guess and hopefully when I get on as well.
I am new and I just started out around 1 hour and 40 minutes ago at the time of me writing this initial post. So I feel like I would prefer others who are in the same boat with being new if possible so we can hopefully do this together and progress together evenly hopefully. If that is not you then please still reply and we can go from there.
I also am livestreaming the game as I do this post now and I plan to livestream this game in the future as well at least on this account when I plan to play for longer periods of time and maybe just not checking in for a minute or so to see whos on or so I wanna say. So you would have to be ok with that but don't worry as of now I am not big so no one may be watching anyways or maybe 1 person or so lol will be talking to me from the livestream lol so don't worry about that at least as of now I wanna say but I just wanted to let you know.
So please let me know and respond in the comments if you believe you can meet that criteria and I guess we can go from there then.
Anyways thank you for reading this whole thing if you did do that and thank you for your time, help, and consideration ahead of time I wanna say as well.
Regardless have a great day and thank you once again!

Webkinz seriously needs to update their website and game

I noticed that I had a Mazin' Hamsters building and decided to see what'd happen if I clicked on it, and it mentioned Amazing World, which sadly shut down! They really should remove that, yet another painful reminder that that amazing game shut down :(

Mentioning using eStore Points in Amazing World. How long ago was the eStore Points shop updated??? They also have a character from some super obscure Ganz game that I can find almost nothing about online, that I didn't even know about until I saw this image
I'm hoping that someday an Amazing World Rewritten becomes a thing like with Toontown and Club Pengiun! I went really far in that game despite being a free player and loved it a lot! It reminded me a lot of Toontown and playing it helped me cope with the loss of my favorite game. Not sure why I stopped playing, I think I forgot my account information and never bothered to try logging in again? Dunno. I was so sad when I found out it shut down in my absence

I just think it's funny how much outdated stuff there is on the Ganz eStore website and in the game itself, lots of mentions of Amazing World despite that game being gone :(

2023.11.03 23:38 DeadStar5767 Suggestion - Gag Unite Cooldown

Hello, Toons and Development Team! I am a veteran TTO and TTR player, I've seen the hacker vs TTO war, I've even seen when TTR was still relatively of indifferent to TTO.
With introductions out of the way, I'd like to make a point about something I seen and am highly confused/unhappy about. The Unite Cool-Down system. I'm not sure how many of you remember this, but to all you Veterans out there, I'm sure you remember this. Unites used to be very spammable and you could just go ham with them. You could have used a unite every round if you wanted. Now, we are forced to either wait 2:30 minutes outside of battle or 3 rounds in battle before we can use another Unite. I do not agree with this, I am also one of you veteran toons that did not know what the cause for this change is or why it was changed. Even if I did, I still cannot agree with it completely. I'll give you a few reasons as to my point of view on it.
  1. People getting unwanted gags. This is harmless. Some people will send a unite for squirt and a lot of people do not want squirt gags. Well, if they had gotten all their gags refilled, they would not have to deal with that. Plus, with the new "Save" and "Load" feature offered in the gag shop, you can quickly load what you previously saved without having to do 200 clicks to remove all the gags you don't want.
  2. If I want to spam and waste my Unites without regard for how much effort it took to get them, I should be able to. I should not be controlled in how often I can use my unites, especially when training my toons. Training is difficult, especially when you are training with level 11s, 10s, and 9s. To use unites makes it easier when your other toon or friends don't have toon-up. It also limits how you use them.
  3. I do not want to plan 3 rounds ahead every time I train my toons. I find planning 3 rounds ahead more tedious and annoying than fun. I'd rather be able to spam my unites recklessly and without regard for anything else, than be forced to wait 3 rounds, because 3 rounds of training is very dangerous sometimes and sometimes just not fun.
  4. Some players use multiple accounts to train by themselves so they can easily max their toons they've created without waiting and waiting on people to join them. It's also easier because coordination is not always the greatest, plus sometimes you just don't wanna help other people train at the moment. So, some players like myself, train with 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, and 12s because it takes more hits and we are more reckless about it.
Now that you have seen a few points, I'd also like to mention that I'm not suggesting that the cooldown goes completely away. That's a lot of work that has been put into the game to make it more fun. I think that the cooldown system does not serve a purpose in buildings, free roam, factories, mints, DAs, and bossbot golf courses. I can see it being used in VPs, CFOs, CJs, CEOs, and Field Offices. I think the unite cooldown makes those more fun, but not when you are doing buildings and such.
I find TTR slowly, but surely, moving away from the original design of TTO with designs like these be broadly placed. I can say with a fact, if I wanted to play a harder version of ToonTown, I would choose a different Private Server. I get that some players may find spamming a waste of unites, but we cannot forget that it was that same player who got them unites and that same player who felt it was appropriate to use them unites.
Now, do not get me wrong, the cooldown system can be fun if it was properly implemented, but I think it's broad implementation is very, very poor.
What do I aim to accomplish with this? I aim to change the way the Unite's Cool-Down system is implemented into a better form. As someone who has played ToonTown Online and played ToonTown Rewritten way before Field Offices were a thing and even when TTR still had the "True Friends" option on player cards, that were unusable, I suggest that TTR reduces the limitations of the cooldown system to specifically the VP, CFO, CJ, CEO, and Field Offices. I suggest that the free roam, buildings, factories, mints, DAs, and bossbot golfing courses allow us to use unites freely and however we see fit. I think this would be a change for the better and make ToonTown Rewritten a bit more enjoyable when training and doing boss fights and such.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope many of you share the same views as I do. I hope this post helps take a step forward in making the ToonTown Rewritten experience better than it currently is as it feels worse than before the cooldown system was in place.
Have a great day/night!

2023.10.22 00:51 TheMulzakGaming My Mother deleted my 20k subs YouTube account when I was 14 AMA!

I’m 26 years old and still shook about this happening to this day. I tell this story to anyone when the subject comes up.
When I was around the age of 8/9 I absolutely fell in love with the online MMO Toontown developed by Disney. Well around the age of 11 YouTube was becoming massive. It was new and it was revolutionary for the internet. Gaming was becoming extremely popular on the platform so almost teenage me was ready to see if I could make it in the space.
I began on learning how all of the recording software worked, and got to making videos. And when I say making videos, I mean every single type of video you could think of. I was always on Toontown. It was my safe space as a kid with very few real friends, and where I found a lot of my good friends I still keep up with to this day. I made game show videos based off of the Total Drama Island cartoon that people always fought to play in. I was known in Toontown Centeal as THE host to play under. I made music videos In the game. I made strategy guides and playthroughs as new toons/ overpower weak toons. I even made solo boss videos. This channel was a literal documentation of my life on the game. If I was playing, I’d be recording.
I continued this for around 3-4 years religiously, I started gaining a following of new people every day finding my videos. My highest viewed video was somewhere close to 150k views. My subscriber count had reached somewhere close to 20k subscribers which was amazing for 13/14 year old me. I had every intention to keep making content and thought I was actually going to make it to the big time.
Well, that didn’t happen. One day while I was at school, I had left my YouTube account signed in on my laptop. It had turned out that my mother opened my laptop to snoop, and found my account with tons of videos signed in. She deleted the entire channel. Everything. I got home and was shattered. She told me her reasoning was because the people on the other end could see me and she was protecting me (we have to remember this is super early internet days, so not everyone was informed on how things worked) ((Also, no webcam was ever used as I didn’t have one. No mic was used either. Just in game chat)).
I did every single thing I could to get my account back. And you know what? I did. I got my account back. It turned out, when you delete a YouTube account at least back then, you could reactivate it but all videos and subscribers were deleted. Everything I had worked for was gone. I had planned on carrying this account with me until I made it.
Fast forward to today, I still have the desire to create content. However, I just can’t stick with any channel I make since this. I had so much passion before the incident. I have a 400 member discord I am the owner of and I post clips from the discord on tiktok but that’s as far as it goes.
This post doesn’t have a point I’m well over it at this point, however I still think about what could have been. AMA!
