So many people out there who are bitter about their bad romantic relationships with others. So many single people -- by choice or not -- who are still allosexual (i.e., attracted to others) and who are bitter toward married and romantic couples, bitter toward the opposite sex, and some who even refuse to have friends of a different gender.
But not me....Yay!
Am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo darned lucky that I've had an autosexual and autoromantic orientation since age 13, which I've been able to focus on entirely and completely since 7 months ago...when finally recognizing that I'm single at heart and realizing I am secretly "married to myself" in my mind.
Because of this, I have absolutely zero sense of sexual or romantic bitterness or hatred anywhere in my heart!
With my cleanly-shaved body and face, and while wearing my favorite colors of my solid opaque nylon tights, I get to fantasize about myself wearing the most amazingly-beautiful outfits imaginable to me while imagining kissing myself in the mirror and kissing myself all over. I get to hold my own smooth, soft, beautiful hands and rub my smooth, lovely stockinged feet together while telling myself in first-person grammar how proud of myself I am for being who I am, and while saying that I'll always get to have my lovely self no matter what.
So many others out there may be bitter. They may seem to loathe everyone and hate themselves ad nauseum 'til the cows come home.
But I'm exclusively autosexual. Therefore...I'm not a bitter person...I'M DELICIOUS! :-)

Hey there, I am a 28 year old dude from Europe, I would like to make a deep and meaningful friendship with someone or some people, I am in a stage in my life where I feel like I really need to make some deeper connection with someone, because for once it feels like I am getting my life together piece by piece and the sad reality is that no one is here for me to see and notice due to certain things which I will describe below I find it very hard to meet / make new friends in real life.
So a little bit about myself, I don't feel comfortable sharing selfies to strangers, it will take me some time for me to build a connection and trust you before we exchange selfies / do video calls (voice calls are fine). Why is that you may ask? Because I am short sighted and cross eyed - as a teenager and even in my early adult life people looked odd / laughed about it, especially online, so I hope you understand why I'm conscious when it comes to sharing selfies, I really appreciate it if you understand and please don;t get me wrong I would love our friendship to get to a point where we can share selfies and do video calls. Just please understand that it will most likely take me some time due to past traumas.
Furthermore, regarding my looks - I have dark brown eyes, brown hair, pale white skin and I am 168 cm tall or short depending on how you look at it. I am quite muscular and seem to build muscle relatively easily (mesomorph body type) and i was told I would make a good swimmer, something I would like to learn sooner or later.
I'll talk a bit about my mental issues now, for circa 10 years I've been struggling with depression and, for about 7 or 8 years with OCD. This has made my life a living nightmare for most of my 20s and left me isolated in my room, and thus my social skills degraded, a lot. Currently I'm seeking therapy for OCD and the past 5 months I've been doing amazing progress and I can go around my place touching things without washing my hand for hours and yes if you're wondering, my OCD is contamination. I side not, if you try to convince me how irrational are these fears, don't tire yourself, I already know that. Also, if you're a stranger and you pull a one liner OCD joke you will be most likely ignored, I am fine with OCD jokes provided we know each other already and there is some sort of friendship going on. Also you wouldn't be the first to ask "so do you rearrange things too?" Ideally I would like a close friend who has dealt / or knows something about OCD and depression or is willing to understand and show empathy towards people with mental issues. I'm not asking for you to be a therapist/psychologist (I already see a good one, no need for one more) all I'm asking is that you're a decent human being. I might be 28. but sometimes I feel like 18 because sometimes I feel like OCD and the depression which comes with it has stolen 10 years of my life.
Now a little bit about my hobbies, I am very interested in linguistics, and in my free time you will often find me reading about different languages and linguistic topics and concepts. I already speak 3 languages [you can probably guess one, but will you find out the other two? :)]. I am especially interested in Germanic languages, mainly Nordic languages, so if you're a speaker of one of those big big big plus!
I am also interested in technology, pretty much anything computer related, hardware software you name it, I also know how to build and i talk talk about linux 24/7.
I am into video games as well, I play pretty much anything as long as it is not some sweaty try hard competitive stuff, although i do enjoy some counter strike tomfoolery. Besides that half-life is the greatest series ever, change my mind! Stardew valley and euro truck simulator 2 and don't starve together are some chill games I enjoy playing. But again, I am open to pretty much any video game and i game often, so would be nice if you game from time to time, although it is not a must.
When it comes to my music tastes, I enjoy folk/metal mostly, with some rock and rap (provided the rap lyrics are decent and meaningful and not full of swears words every 2 seconds), but I am also listen anything else as well, from techno, to pop and even kpop. My music tastes are as open as it gets :) I will let you know my favorite artists once we talk ;)
I wouldn't call myself as a sports person, but I do enjoy a walk, especially in the woods, the most relaxing thing that you can do in my opinion, especially if the weather is cloudy but not rainy :) I love animals, I am a dog person and although I don't have any pets right now due to current place not allowing pets, I really hope to change this as soon as possible and get a doggo. I like to tell myself that nature is my church, speaking of which I am agnostic, I don't care about religion and neither I care if you are religious or not, just please don't force your views onto me. We can talk about it though, as mature and good friends should be capable of doing so.
I am an introvert who enjoys doing extroverted things, especially going to concerts and hopefully one day do a tour of europe on a touring bike, one of my dreams since I was an early teenager. I also work out more and more, for now just home workout but I can already see the improvements and benefits, especially mental ones. As I said, I am introvert so I find it a bit harder to open up in a crowd, I much rather prefer one on one conversations, I feel like I can open up more in those and they're more meaningful, usually.
I'm not sure what else to write.... I'm going to give this another try though contemplating if I really should I am not sure what will happen and to be quite honest with you it scares me and at the same time it makes me excited cause I might meet someone special.

Besides that half-life is the greatest series ever, change my mind! Stardew valley and euro truck simulator 2 and don't starve together are some chill games I enjoy playing. But again, I am open to pretty much any video game and i game often, so would be nice if you game from time to time, although it is not a must.
When it comes to my music tastes, I enjoy folk/metal mostly, with some rock and rap (provided the rap lyrics are decent and meaningful and not full of swears words every 2 seconds), but I am also listen anything else as well, from techno, to pop and even kpop. My music tastes are as open as it gets :) I will let you know my favorite artists once we talk ;)
I wouldn't call myself as a sports person, but I do enjoy a walk, especially in the woods, the most relaxing thing that you can do in my opinion, especially if the weather is cloudy but not rainy :) I love animals, I am a dog person and although I don't have any pets right now due to current place not allowing pets, I really hope to change this as soon as possible and get a doggo. I like to tell myself that nature is my church, speaking of which I am agnostic, I don't care about religion and neither I care if you are religious or not, just please don't force your views onto me. We can talk about it though, as mature and good friends should be capable of doing so.
I am an introvert who enjoys doing extroverted things, especially going to concerts and hopefully one day do a tour of europe on a touring bike, one of my dreams since I was an early teenager. I also work out more and more, for now just home workout but I can already see the improvements and benefits, especially mental ones. As I said, I am introvert so I find it a bit harder to open up in a crowd, I much rather prefer one on one conversations, I feel like I can open up more in those and they're more meaningful, usually.
I'm not sure what else to write.... I'm going to give this another try though contemplating if I really should I am not sure what will happen and to be quite honest with you it scares me and at the same time it makes me excited cause I might meet someone special.

Hey there, I am a 28 year old dude from Europe, I would like to make a deep and meaningful friendship with someone or some people, I am in a stage in my life where I feel like I really need to make some deeper connection with someone, because for once it feels like I am getting my life together piece by piece and the sad reality is that no one is here for me to see and notice due to certain things which I will describe below I find it very hard to meet / make new friends in real life.
So a little bit about myself, I don't feel comfortable sharing selfies to strangers, it will take me some time for me to build a connection and trust you before we exchange selfies / do video calls (voice calls are fine). Why is that you may ask? Because I am short sighted and cross eyed - as a teenager and even in my early adult life people looked odd / laughed about it, especially online, so I hope you understand why I'm conscious when it comes to sharing selfies, I really appreciate it if you understand and please don;t get me wrong I would love our friendship to get to a point where we can share selfies and do video calls. Just please understand that it will most likely take me some time due to past traumas.
Furthermore, regarding my looks - I have dark brown eyes, brown hair, pale white skin and I am 168 cm tall or short depending on how you look at it. I am quite muscular and seem to build muscle relatively easily (mesomorph body type) and i was told I would make a good swimmer, something I would like to learn sooner or later.
I'll talk a bit about my mental issues now, for circa 10 years I've been struggling with depression and, for about 7 or 8 years with OCD. This has made my life a living nightmare for most of my 20s and left me isolated in my room, and thus my social skills degraded, a lot. Currently I'm seeking therapy for OCD and the past 5 months I've been doing amazing progress and I can go around my place touching things without washing my hand for hours and yes if you're wondering, my OCD is contamination. I side not, if you try to convince me how irrational are these fears, don't tire yourself, I already know that. Also, if you're a stranger and you pull a one liner OCD joke you will be most likely ignored, I am fine with OCD jokes provided we know each other already and there is some sort of friendship going on. Also you wouldn't be the first to ask "so do you rearrange things too?" Ideally I would like a close friend who has dealt / or knows something about OCD and depression or is willing to understand and show empathy towards people with mental issues. I'm not asking for you to be a therapist/psychologist (I already see a good one, no need for one more) all I'm asking is that you're a decent human being. I might be 28. but sometimes I feel like 18 because sometimes I feel like OCD and the depression which comes with it has stolen 10 years of my life.

My ex broke up with me weeks ago and it was the worst pain I've ever endured. The first few days seemed like months. I couldn't eat, sleep, work, nothing. I thought the pain would never dull. But we met a couple days ago after she kept continuing to contact me,(I had blocked her), and said she made the biggest mistake of her life and wanted to get back together. She even tattooed lines from a poem I wrote for her on her arm. I was so overwhelmed just seeing her, I'm surprised i could speak. I told her that I wanted to do 3 months of no contact to focus on me and heal from the damage she had caused. After 3 months I told her i would reach out to her and see about starting a friendship back up. She agreed to wait, but I'm still struggling with it all. Anyone been in a similar situation or have advice?

Lately I’ve been listening to songs with God. Most of the time, I can’t get a song out of my head, often something I’ve barely heard, so I sit down and pray and listen to it with him.
Today I was listening to a song called “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive”, sung by a country artist named Travis Tritt. I didn’t really know the lyrics. I guess a song can mean different things to different people, but at first glance, I would say that this song is about a guy who’s alone, but he’s trying to make the best of it by celebrating little things, like having some food, and knowing that he’s clean from substance abuse.
Listening to the song, Travis sings “there are tough times in the neighborhood, but why can’t every day be just as good?” And suddenly I had this thought, “wait, why can’t they, though?”
I learned a while back that if I won’t be happy until I have something I want, then I’ll never be happy. There will always be something I want, because that brings me to God to get it. So if God does not mind control us, doesn’t that make these feelings of sadness my responsibility? Is it up to me to handle them? Is it up to me to handle them like worry and anger and lust?
I’ve read a lot of complaints in Christian forums from believers saying that they’re miserable, they’re alone, they’re deeply depressed. And usually there are some good things in their lives, but they don’t value them.
I asked myself, “if I am ‘pressed but not crushed’, as the apostle says, is sadness in how I look at it?” I’ve got problems, and things I’ve lost, like anyone. I’ve had to give up a lot for the ministry. Like the complainers, I could take the perspective of all the things I’ve lost, and decide that my life sucks, and feel bad about that. But there’s a lie in there that makes it not make sense.
Most of the time, beneath the thing that’s making you mad or sad, there’s a lie, and if you can find the lie, it loses its power over you.
In the natural, it looks like I lost a lot. But most of those things, like the deaths of loved ones or the drifting apart from friends, those were going to happen anyway, and there was nothing that could stop them from happening. The lie is that I lost something I didn’t have to, when it couldn’t have continued anyway.
Some of the things I’m enduring right now are “fake” problems- they only exist because God wants them to. I’ve been abstaining from alcohol since I heard in the spirit that I should; I don’t mind if others partake. But every once in a while when someone gives us a bottle of wine, it’s kind of a bummer that I can’t have a glass with my wife. God could end that today if he wanted, but He does this on purpose for my good. There are problems like that in my life that aggravate me sometimes. But the lie there is that God is doing this because he only cares about his kingdom and not me, when really this was specifically done to me for my benefit.
There’s also people I lost to follow my calling. Many of my old friends decided they didn’t like me anymore when I focused more on religion and wouldn’t party with them. The lie there was that I should have tried to have both. That fails because they outright rejected me, we didn’t just drift apart. People who misbehave and end friendships are who they are, that’s their true self. Now, if men or women are arrogant, don’t they need to be humbled first before you meet them for a relationship to be any good? Isn’t that the fix for that? So this too was for my good, to get something I could keep by giving up people I would inevitably lose. And if any get humbled, maybe I’ll recover them.
Two people could be in identical uncomfortable situations, where one is deeply depressed, and the other is all right with it, and the only difference is what they understand spiritually. If you trust God, or if you see God’s hand behind it, or if you were led by the spirit into this situation, that can change your perspective if you let it.
I gave up things that others kept. But I kept things that others lost, like my marriage, my faith, and my fellowship with the Lord. Those things take time to build, and they only get better the more you build them.
So for me, it really is a great day to be alive. And why can’t every day be this good? It can- in fact, it already is.

Two songs from Taylor Swift's newest album ended up triggering some flashbacks of some of the abuse from my former alcoholic partner. It actually inspired a lot of writing.
I'm getting to about a year since we broke up and I thought maybe writing some of the lyrics out and talking about some of experiences could help someone else who is lurking like I did when I should have totally left. The first one I want to talk about is.... So Long, London

• I stopped CPR, after all it's no use

I had to stop keeping him alive when he doesn't want to be better. He loves to be in this spiral.

• And I'm pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free

I spent so long in my actual youth and in my twenties just wasting time on him when he was too focused on drowning himself with drugs and alcohol to not feel anything.

• And you say I abandoned the ship - But I was going down with it

I was constantly in this state of dying and he accuses me of giving up on us when in reality he was the one poking holes in our ship and burning our life jackets.

• My friends said it isn't right to be scared
• Every day of a love affair

This is honestly pretty self-explanatory but it really hits hard. You should not be with someone who makes you scared to be. I sometimes question was it really worth it letting this man go forever because we had a friendship for decades but hearing these lines for the first time really reminded me of sitting on the floor in his kitchen scared because of the emotional abuse that was hurled at me during his drunken rambles of hate.

He tells me in between his sips of beer that I am the one for him. I am the love of his life and he wants to marry me one day but then when I actually mention “are we going to get engaged in the next year?” I get screamed and yelled at and told how ridiculous I am. I wanted to marry him but all he cared about was killing us to please the alcohol.
But I am getting told everyday how much healthier I look, how much more beautiful I look, and how much happier I seem and while I understand the sentiment of complimenting on getting that color back into my face but it’s so much more than I lost weight or I finally went to the doctor to fix some health issues I have. It does scream the sentiment of leaving an alcoholic. You finally become a person again but you are just so devastated and angry that you lost it all because it was wonderful for so long. You loved this person and they killed you AND you can’t get that back. You cannot undo the pain they caused. You cannot erase the color you lost in your face so you are full of rage and it’s not because you want them again. You just are upset and that is valid when you are healing from this.

TLDR: Husband puts a lot of effort into his relationships with others but constantly neglects ours and its making me feel jealous and resentful.
We've been together for a decade and have been married for 5 years. One thing I've noticed lately is that my husband cares more about other people than he does me, to put in bluntly. Obviously I know he loves me, but here are sone examples of what I mean.
He'll go out of his way to accommodate everyone but me. It's like my feelings don't exist to him, even though I will actively tell him how this hurts me.
Example #1: I get home from work and will ask him about his day. He'll say fine and I will try to make conversation and he will give one word responses, as if it was the most boring thing he could be doing in that moment. And then we'll get into a group call with our friends and he will immediately and energetically ask them about their days and ask them a million questions. I couldn't tell you the last time he asked me about my day, if he ever has.
Example #2: For events like mothers day, fathers day, and birthdays he will spend a lot of time designing intricate, heartwarming presents for his friends and family. For mothers day, he printed off a picture of their family and her favorite poem and combined them into one and framed it. For my birthday, he just asks for an Amazon link. I don't think he even knows my favorite poem because he's never asked.
Example #3: I will tell him that I want to go to a specific place for lunch with our friends. He agrees but then when it comes time to suggest places he will just agree with EVERYONE ELSES suggestions but mine and acts like our conversation never happened.
It seems like I'm overreacting as I'm writing this out- but it happens *constantly* and with *everything.* I feel like he isn't doing this maliciously but tries to do it to make people feel included and loved. The only issue is that I watch the effort he puts into his relationships with others and wish he would do the same for me.
Some things to note is that my husband is a people-pleaser to a fault. I know a lot of the things he does is because he's insecure in his relationships with others and feels like he has to do these things to maintain their friendship. I feel like he's so secure in our relationship he just forgets that itd be nice to do something for his wife every once in a while. He truly is my best friend but I constantly feel like I'm dumping effort in and getting nothing back. I've had a couple conversations with him about the lack of effort and he takes it really hard- saying he's sorry that he's not enough, etc. I don't think he does this to make me feel guilty- he genuinely thinks that in that moment.
But it never seems to change. I'm not even sure how to approach the conversation because he always takes it so hard every time. However, I don't want to continue on like this because I can feel resentment building up. How do I approach this conversation with him? Does anyone else experience this?

Idk if this is the right subreddit to be posting on to look for this but basically I’m looking for SoundCloud rappers to pay to help me turn some lyrics into an actual song bc a guy I used to be friends with wrote 2 songs that I’m pretty sure are diss tracks on me after the end of our friendship and my friend suggested I write one back on him for fun and that it’d be pretty funny😭. Ok I mean this as a silly discussion, but imagine someone making edits of you and your best friend, and them being that convincing, so many people believe you were in a relationship! Like if Kaylor never actually happened or was never explicitly romantic, what do you think Taylor and Karlie are thinking when they see the posts and edits? You think they’re like omg, wait? Was I in love with her? Or do you think Karlie sees us piecing the lyrics together to be about her and is like, wait Taylor was in love with me? She’s been writing about me all this time? *Edit because I wanted to add, I don’t want to undermine the negative effect speculation of both her relationships with men and women has had on Taylor Swift, but I was just thinking if it were me and I saw edits of my ex best friend and I or when we were best friends, I think I’d question a little bit how we actually felt about one another and be a little embarrassed because for me, there’d be some truth to it on my side. I could also see my ex bff being like oblivious until seeing a post and being like—wait am I the twin? The roommate? Ohhhh… so I wondered more from a silly place what it would be like to see those.But I could also see how it would make a friendship break much that much worse and even more devastating.
