2024.05.15 07:25 Total-Mastodon-6888 Top 10 Mistakes to Avoid in Your Visa Application

The prospect of embarking on a new adventure in a foreign country can be exhilarating. However, the visa application process
can often feel like navigating a complex maze, riddled with potential pitfalls. At Adric Immigration Consultants in Bangalore, we understand the importance of meticulous preparation when applying for a visa. Here, we unveil the top 10 mistakes to avoid, ensuring your application journey is smooth and successful.
1. Incompleteness and Inaccuracy: The Cardinal Sins
Missing Information: Leaving sections blank or failing to provide all the requested documentation is a recipe for application rejection. Always double-check the application form and ensure you have gathered all the necessary documents well in advance.
Inaccuracies and Inconsistencies: Typos, factual errors, or discrepancies between your application form and supporting documents can raise red flags for immigration officers. Proofread your application meticulously and ensure all details are consistent across all documents.
Unrealistic Travel Dates: Be realistic when specifying your intended travel dates. Delays in processing are common, so factor in a buffer period between your application submission and planned travel dates.
2. Applying for the Wrong Visa: Choosing the Right Path
Misunderstanding Visa Categories: Different visa categories cater to specific purposes, such as tourism, work, or studies. Thoroughly research the visa options offered by your target country and choose the one that aligns perfectly with your travel goals. Don’t hesitate to seek professional guidance if you’re unsure about the most suitable visa category.
Ignoring Eligibility Requirements: Each visa category comes with specific eligibility criteria. Failing to meet these requirements can lead to an immediate rejection. Carefully review the eligibility requirements for your chosen visa category and ensure you qualify before initiating the application process.
3. Failing to Disclose All Information: Honesty is the Best Policy
Misrepresenting Information: Tempting as it might be to omit certain information, complete honesty is crucial when applying for a visa. Fabricating facts or failing to disclose past travel history or criminal records can have severe consequences, including permanent visa ineligibility.
Undeclared Financial Resources: Proof of sufficient financial resources is often a mandatory requirement for many visa applications. Underestimating your expenses or failing to provide adequate financial documentation can raise concerns about your ability to support yourself during your stay.
4. Missing Documentation: Leaving Gaps in Your Story
Incomplete Documentation: Every visa application requires specific supporting documents. Missing documents can create delays or lead to rejection. Carefully review the required documents list and ensure you have everything in order before submitting your application.
Outdated Documents: Certain documents like medical certificates or police clearances have expiry dates. Ensure all your supporting documents are valid and current as per the application requirements.
Improper Translations and Authentication: If any of your documents are not in the official language of your target country, ensure they are translated by a certified translator and bear proper apostille seals or legalization if mandated.
5. Neglecting Application Fees: Don’t Forget the Formalities
Missing Fees: Visa applications often come with associated fees. Failing to pay the correct fee at the designated time can delay your application processing or lead to rejection. Research the applicable fees beforehand and ensure timely payment through the designated channels.
Forgetting Additional Costs: Beyond the official application fee, there might be additional costs associated with medical examinations, biometric data collection, or courier services. Factor in all potential costs when planning your visa application budget.
6. Failing to Meet Deadlines: Time is of the Essence
Missing Deadlines: Visa applications have specific filing deadlines. Late submissions can lead to complications, missed opportunities, or even application rejection. Plan ahead, gather your documents well in advance, and submit your application before the deadline.
Improper Scheduling (Interviews): For certain visa categories, a visa interview with a consular officer is mandatory. Treat this interview seriously, schedule it well in advance to avoid last-minute complications, and arrive promptly on the designated date.
7. Inadequate Travel Insurance Coverage: Be Prepared for the Unexpected
Insufficient Coverage: Travel insurance can be a visa requirement for some countries. Ensure your chosen travel insurance plan offers adequate coverage for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and repatriation costs.
Neglecting Specific Requirements: Some countries might have specific travel insurance coverage requirements. Double-check if your chosen plan fulfills the minimum coverage mandated by the visa category.
8. Underestimating Processing Times: Patience is Key
Unrealistic Expectations: Visa processing times can vary significantly depending on the visa category, workload of the processing center, and individual circumstances. Research the average processing times for your chosen visa and be prepared for potential delays.
8. Underestimating Processing Times: Patience is Key (continued)
Frequent Inquiries: While it’s understandable to be eager about the status of your application, avoid bombarding immigration authorities with inquiries. Most processing centers offer online portals where you can track the progress of your application.
9. Failing to Prepare for the Interview: Opportunity Knocks Once
Lack of Preparation: If a visa interview is required for your application category, thorough preparation is key. Research common interview questions, anticipate potential inquiries related to your travel plans and purpose of visit, and practice your responses beforehand.
Unprofessional Demeanor: Dress appropriately, arrive on time, demonstrate confidence and respect during the interview. First impressions matter, and a professional demeanor can significantly improve your chances of approval.
Unclear Communication: Speak clearly and concisely, answer questions directly, and avoid providing vague or contradictory information. Effective communication can significantly enhance your interview experience.
10. Going it Alone: Seek Expert Guidance
Lack of Knowledge: Immigration laws are intricate and constantly evolving. Navigating the complexities of the visa application process alone can be overwhelming. Partnering with a reputable immigration consultant like Adric Immigration Consultants in Bangalore can provide invaluable support throughout your journey.

2024.05.15 07:23 Asleep-Version-1664 My Car got stolen from my work. Is my employer liable?

My only mode of transportation was stolen from work last night. Conveniently, it was not caught on camera because it was stolen while my manager reset the security cameras (about a 10 minute time frame). Oddly enough, she reset the cameras an hour later than she usually does. There is a gate around my workplace with an alarm system that did not go off when the theft cut through it to enter the parking lot. My managers are now blaming me for this incident and being hostile. Calling me to yell at me multiple times today. Even going so far as to make jokes about my car being stolen, then accusing me of threatening them for asking them to stop. I requested to take the day off tomorrow because I have no other transportation and I need to file an insurance claim. My boss told me that he does not care, that I need to take an Uber and he even insinuated that my performance with the company has been poor (despite complimenting my work just days ago). It seems that they are retaliating against me for this. Are they responsible for my car being stolen? And would it be wrongful termination for them to fire me over this incident?

2024.05.15 07:22 Self_journi [TN] question about father not on birth certificate enlisting in military trying to claim my son

My son is now 5 and his dad has been constantly in and out of his life. Was not there for the birth or any of the 5 birthdays I’ve asked him to attend. He saw him once in the last 3 years and that’s when I brought him to Washington last month from Tennessee where we reside in. Now he wants to enroll in the military and claim my son so my son can get health insurance, to which he would need my sons social and birth certificate hard copy. I do not feel comfortable in sharing my sons personal information as he has no legal rights to him currently and I have no idea where this information will go without speaking to a supervisor. He is not on the birth certificate or acknowledgement of paternity per his own choice despite my request He has been a very emotionally abusive and unstable man since the day I met him. I worry for my sons best interest and do not care about my son claiming benefits from the military, I’m worried he is only trying to do this for the benefit of making more financially / claiming him on his taxes. I have been solely responsible for my son the last 5 years. I told the father I was uncomfortable sending such documentation without speaking to the supervisor first which he reacted with name calling gaslighting and said he would try to get a lawyer not for supervised visits or even partial custody implying he would take full custody of my son who does not even know who he is … so my question is what would you do? If it gets so far as a custody case could I request a mental health evaluation of the father? Could I request parent classes ? What are the odds I lose custody of my son? I’ve never wanted to keep my son from his father. I just want to make sure his father is acting appropriately and consistently as a parent, my biggest worry is how this will affect my son. Sincerely one concerned parent to another..

2024.05.15 06:39 Far-Earth919 AITAH for not talking/meeting my biological mother.

Hello OKOP empire. Thank you for taking time to read this. it will be long but on to my story.
So I'm going to give background of the beginning of my life. It was my determining factor of why I didn't want anything to do with her. Names I use are not their real names.
When I was conceived my Bio mom (we'll call her Sally (17F) ) already had a little girl my bio half sis (call her Chrissy (1F) ) Chrissy would go to our babysitters house ( call her Jenny (34F) ) while Sally went to school. When bio Grandma (Call her Karen, don't know how old she was at that time) found out Sally was Pregnant with me, She was furious, According to my Bio Aunt (Deny (14F) ) Karen almost killed us. Deny said she had to step in and stop Karen from hitting Sally even more after she threw her down the stairs. After her rage subsided she took Sally and Chrissy to an apartment and said you want to be sleuthing around your old enough to live on your own. Sally kept trying to go to school as she dropped off Chrissy at Jenny's, then would go to a job and try to make things work.
Time goes on and I am born, I then started going to Jenny's as well sometimes spending the night with Chrissy as well at times.
Now Jenny was Babysitting in the day, EMT at night and did foster care with her husband Lee (38M). his job was teaching Spanish. Super hero's in my eyes FR.
After that month Jenny said she had not seen me and Chrissy for about 2 weeks. She got a call from social services asking her to go to Sally's apartment to check on her and the children. Jenny wasted no time at all grabbed her bag as her son (Josh (10M) ) asked to go with she said sure.
Jenny went up too the apartment door and knocked, with no answer but as they stood outside she could hear kids crying inside but still no one came to answer the door. She went and got the manager of the apartment complex and asked him to open Sally's door. But she had to call the cops and paramedics to come out before he could open the door. they had to stay outside for about 20 Mins for the emergency services to show. They finally get the door open and see Sally on the couch unresponsive. Jenny went to the bedroom door as one of the police officers had to break it down due to it being locked. I was only around 2 months old and Chrissy at this point was almost two years old and didn't know how to open doors at that time. So Josh went in with Jenny, seeing Chrissy trying to feed me a bottle that was filled with curdled milk. Josh looked at Jenny and said mom she looks dead referencing me. They rushed us to the hospital and found that Sally was alcohol poisoned and I was very dehydrated, underweight, eyes sunken into my sockets. Doctor told Jenny if i were not able to gain weight in 3 days i would be in ICU for failure to thrive ( basically all organs start to shut down and would basically be dying). Chrissy and I were put into Jenny's foster home that night. Jenny took us home and feed me close to 8-8oz bottles. she said it was the most amazing thing as i ate my skin turned back to a pinkish color my eyes came out and my body started filling out, never throwing up a drop.
Time goes on and we were put into the fosteadopt program. Karen wanted Chrissy but did not want me. She ended up taking Chrissy without finalizing papers with the court, taking off to another state.
I was a little over 2 yrs old when Jenny and Lee official adopted me. Now she was my mom and he my dad giving me 5 brothers and 1 sister. Big family I know
I was 6 yrs old when we had ready a weekly reader on adoption in school. A lot of what they were saying in it with how adoptees feel is exactly how I felt, also as my family would be talking about who got what from which parent. I asked who's eyes did I have and my mom would answer you have your mothers eyes. I got very confused about that then we read that weekly reader. So many questions had swirled in my mind. One day as my mom and I are walking into a Wal-Mart crossing the front where the cross walk is as I'm holding her hand, I asked her mom am I adopted? She looked at me with a pause and said well yeah you are in a more concerned voice then any other emotion. I didn't ask anymore questions for a few days, but one night I walked into my parents room and asked why did my family give me up and all my mom said was god meant for us to have you. I then asked if i had any sisters or brothers and she told me about Chrissy. Being so little I couldn't really deal with the thought of someone just threw me away and felt like I did something wrong and that's why my bio family didn't want me.
As I get older with a year or two in between i would keep going to my mom asking more questions. Now you remember my parents also did foster care as well and I would hear and comprehend at around 12 of the children coming to my home for things and they would tell me of there horrifying story of how they ended up in the system. A lot of them were horrible stories and I couldn't understand how a parent do something as bad as they did to their own children.
When I was Fourteen I went to my mom where my brother Josh was talking with her about something and said ok mom I am old enough to know what exactly what happened to me cause I deserve to know my story. I saw my brother and her share this look of like hey its time she should know kinda face. She then proceeded to tell me the whole story minus what i wrote about Karen and Sally bit cause she did not know about that. Deny is the one that filled me in about that. Deny was the one to call in with concerns about us that day my life was saved, to social services.
I spent many days with free time in computer class looking so hard for my half sister after that but since it was still so new at that point I could not find much out about anyone.
More time goes on and I was around 26 yrs old and I do a little google search looking for Sally sue to her being the only way i could possibly find my half sister. I had found a birth certificate that I had a very strong feeling that it was Sally's, A couple months go bye with no other hits and one day i see i have two message requests on FB one from Deny which she began by giving info about me where we lived and just personal info that no one else would of known except for the ones involved. i had another from Chrissy who was saying basically the same thing. I went numb. from the top of my head to the tip of my toes i felt like electricity was vibrating my body. I asked my husband what he thought he said its up to you love what ever you want to do i'm hear for you. so i begin to type and we had gotten to know each other. i went to their state and met them also met Karen. didn't really care for that but was told Sally was telling Chrissy and Deny to find me that was top priority to her for some odd reason. but anyway they asked if i would want to meet her, i answered im not sure im up for that yet.
I get back home after a 2 week visit and I was being asked many times to meet or at least talk with Sally. I finally said no i'd rather not cause i already have a wonderful loving mother and i rather not go down that road with Sally cause i couldn't get over her just leaving. Jenny gave permission for Sally to visit or send me letters as i grew as much as she wanted but she never sent anything or called. my adoption was an open/closed adoption. meaning Sally could contact me anytime and visit me where it was closed for the Bio father who was never in the picture. But Chrissy/Deny and I had a huge fight about it and are no longer in contact. its better cause it was a very toxic family and id rather leave the toxins out of my life.
So guys was I the AH for not wanting to meet/talk to Sally???

2024.05.15 06:32 grapefru1tfruit Experience starting over again at 5 or jumping to 7.5?

With the shortage it’s been 6 weeks without taking Zepbound. I did 1 month on 2.5 and 1 month on 5 and I was making great progress but am really struggling without it, as many of us are. I met with my doctor a week ago and we put in another prescription to start back at 2.5 but insurance won’t cover it this time around. I haven’t been able to get 5mg refilled in 6 weeks. My doctor was willing to put in the prescription for 7.5 but that seems like a huge jump to me after not taking it in 6 weeks and doing really well on 5mg. My insurance only covers 5mg and 10 mg as maintenance (covering more than 1 pack a year) and will also only cover 1 month of 2.5 and 7.5 a year. We put in another PA request for 2.5 but unlikely that will go through.
I’ve read a lot about it not being recommended after so much time to move up / start where you left off, but I can’t afford to pay out of pocket, even with the coupon for 2.5 (if I could even get it). I’ve thought about plan C and the whole process makes me a bit nervous and it’s also not the cheapest when I was paying 0 for zepbound with insurance.
What am I even supposed to do? I’m exhausted from calling pharmacies, insurance, my doctor, and googling nonstop. Would starting 7.5 really be that bad of an option?
The first week of 2.5 I had pretty much no appetite and the second week hit me like a truck with low energy, fatigue, brain fog, constipation etc. I quickly cleaned up my act and 2.5 was a lot better and moved up to 5 because of insurance. First week of 5mg I did my best to get in vitamins protein water etc. which made it a lot better than the first 2 weeks of 2.5, but the first day of 5mg for the 4 weeks was extreme fatigue, on and off stomach aches but by day 3 of the last 2 weeks I had pretty much no side effects and even went 11 days inbetween shot 3 and shot 4.

2024.05.15 06:20 MultiDalmatianal Coming off Victoza, involuntarily

Started Victoza in March, have lost 30lbs (242lbs to 212lbs) and still haven’t needed to up dosage past 0.6mg. It’s been relatively easy after figuring out a good diet and routine with the medication.
Despite losing 30lbs I don’t feel or look any different, unfortunately. I’m glad the scale has gone down, but I’ve never cared about my weight tbh, I just want to feel and look healthier. I was this same weight a few years ago and felt/looked completely different.
I’ve just finished my 3rd pen, and was looking forward to continuing, but my insurance decided they won’t cover Victoza or any other form of medicines like this anymore, even with my doctor submitting requests and claims. I guess it ends here

2024.05.15 06:03 Marissa-Cheesecake Trying to find closure in my dad's death. Also, my open casket experience.

This post might be a little jumbled, but I do need to get this off my chest. Finding closure in my dad's passing from many years ago.
It all happened so fast, and I never had time to prepare. I was at home playing video games many summers ago, and my mom went to visit him at the hospital. My mom was taking a long time for some reason. I started getting a little suspicious that something was off, but I shrugged it off. Turns out my first instinct was right.
Then when she came home at night, she called me into the living room and told me he was gone. That's it. No preparation, nothing. It left me in shock, and it's the kind of moment that sticks with you forever. How do you even prepare for something so sudden? You don't.
And then a week later at the funeral, the person in the casket didn't even look like my dad AT ALL. He looked like a haunting ghost mannequin mockery of sorts. Why did I have to take a look? I never wanted my last memory of him to be...THAT. Just awful. Even my mom agreed that it didn't look like him in the slightest bit and that it might as well have been a different person.
Everyone's experience is different, but I'm sure there are some people who can relate to their loved one in the casket looking nothing they were when they were alive. It's like I had the news of dad's death dumped on me like a pack of bowling balls, and then just being thrown into looking at his body with zero preparation at all.
I've recently requested an online death certificate, so that I can get the address of the cemetery where he was buried. It's been a while since he passed, so I don't remember where exactly (though I still have a vague idea). And aside from the initial burial, I've never been to his grave before since for the longest time I didn't have a car until recently.
But I seriously realize that I've never gotten closure and now is a good time. Just visiting his grave, leaving flowers and maybe having a so called "talk" with him. Talking with my therapist has really made me realize that I've never gotten the closure I needed, and that this is a good step in the right direction.

2024.05.15 05:55 mirn22 ANA/ANCC Issue with Certification Exam Application

I applied for the Informatics Certification Exam through ANA end of March. I thought submitting an unofficial transcript would be enough at least to take the exam, but I got a notice 2 weeks later that an official one was needed. I paid and had my university send my official transcript specifically calling attention to the analyst processing my application. The transcript was protected with the access code sent through a separate email. This was mentioned in the first email. I was CC'd so I know two emails were sent correctly. That was over and done with... or so I thought.
A month after the transcript was sent, I got another notice informing me I needed to submit my official transcript. I was surprised because my university had already sent it, and I thought it was taking a while because there might have been a large volume of applications ANA was processing. I would have followed up sooner, but I read that ANA can take up to 2 months to approve applications and to just wait.
I emailed ANA. I also called, spoke to an ANA customer service representative, explained my situation, and they said it was because my transcript didn't have my name on it. I checked, and it did have my name. They couldn't access the transcript, so they just said I'd have to wait for a response from my analyst. I requested to be transferred to him to speak with him directly, and they can't do that due to analysts being busy processing applications, which I think is ridiculous. I'm having an issue, and I can't speak to the person handling my case to rectify it?
My analyst emailed saying he couldn't access the transcript and went on to say how I still needed to submit one. I was so irritated at this point because he didn't bother to tell me anything but only sent another notice a whole MONTH later. And did he not read the instructions in the email?
I emailed back explaining the passcode was provided in a separate email and gave it to him so he didn't have to look for it. It's been about a couple business days, and I haven't heard back.
So now I'm thinking to pay for my transcript again but this time to be mailed to ANA/ANCC, which will cost more and take more time, since I have a deadline to meet. Or should I wait a bit more?
I'm posting to ask if anyone experienced something like this. Are the analysts typically this difficult? I don't understand why he's having a hard time accessing the transcript when I had no problems with it. Are they normally that busy they can't even respond to emails or communicate issues to their applicants? Does this warrant filing a complaint? If so, how? Or can I request for another analyst? Should I just pay extra to have my transcript mailed? I would greatly appreciate your input.
TL;DR: Applied for Informatics Certification Exam via ANA. My analyst can't access my protected official transcript despite the access code being given to him. I can't speak directly with him, and he hasn't responded to my email. Are analysts usually like this? Should I pay again to mail my transcript? Does this warrant filing a complaint or requesting for a new analyst? If so, how?

2024.05.15 05:45 joerover34 Company acquired last year - new boss is unappreciative and simply doesn’t respect me. Am I being petty/immaturr?

My family sold our business last year cause we had a great offer and it was a get out while you can (future market seems bleak - depended on insurance reimbursement for 70% of revenue). I (son) was the only external sales rep in charge of all the accounts. Generated $4M / year. Long story short. He was dead set on changing the name. Day 1 he changes the name. Day 1 he cuts my commission. Day 1 he takes away gas allowance. I now make considerably less. He never has told me he appreciates me (the other employees tell me he tells them all the time). Has never asked for my opinion or thoughts. I’ve worked my tail off trying to “calm the waters” and inform people of the acquisition and keep our accounts. He has slowly been seeing some of my accounts without telling me. Zero communication. He never reaches out. I have to reach out to him for anything. Half the time he replies with that lame “do not disturb” notification. He never gives me updates, anything internally. He has given me zero marketing merch. But I also ran the social media(s), he asked for that on day 1 too… HOWEVER, I still have overall ownership of the Facebook page and it has thousands of followers. He has tried to remove me several times. He just sends a request to remove myself, I deny it. Hes never texted me or anything to tell me or ask me, he’s pretty lame. I’m honestly so bitter I want to delete the page, and say FU and resign. Thoughts?? It’s obvious he wants me out right??? This will be the ultimate middle finger cause he LOOOOVVES trying to do influencer videos on social media.

2024.05.15 05:34 Mother4Wildlings Super Concerned…

…okay, so after going through acute appendicitis and an emergency appendectomy while I had COVID in January of 2022, less than six months after giving birth to our youngest, I’m now nursing my husband in bed after he just got done vomiting pretty much everything he’s eaten today. He’s been suffering from increasingly worse abdominal pains for the last seven hours or so.
I’ve seen the man doubled over with gas pains (which is what he was originally thinking this was,) so I know his pain tolerance isn’t super high, but the locale of the pain he is suffering right now, plus the vomiting nearly 7 hours in, coupled with the fact that he does feel warm to the touch in the lower right quadrant of his abdomen and forehead (even though he is not complaining of pain on the right side yet, just a generalized central pain deep in his abdomen about 3 to 4 inches above his belly button,) is all, in truth, freaking me the fuck out. In five years I’ve never seen him like this.
Problem is, the ED nearest us would be lucky to have him triaged and tests ordered within a 6 to 8 hour window, I’m scheduled to work second shift tomorrow, I’ve already had to take a ton of time off due to literally every other emergency that could happen (I’m dealing with an ovarian cyst large enough to warrant surgery, I had to take an entire day to fix the tag on our only vehicle, the grapefruit on my ovary comes with a host of debilitating side effects that have me in and out of the office right now, and I’m literally six months into this new phase of my career. At the end of the day, I don’t care if it’s not a good look if I have to request PTO to take him in, but we don’t have anybody close enough to us to watch the baby and I don’t really feel that an emergency department is an appropriate setting for her right now, co-pay is through the roof…you get the idea.
So I guess I’m asking this: at the time of this post, it’s been about 30 minutes since he’s vomited, it was just the one instance so far, he says he doesn’t feel the ‘stabbing’ pain anymore, just pressure, but he’s snuggled up to me and is quite warm now, like bordering on feverish, and when I push on his abdomen, the warmth/pressure/deep pain behind and above his belly button (only when I push right now,) is just really worrying me. Enough to ask internet strangers if I should take him in. Might he have the beginning stages of appendicitis?
I tried calling the back of his insurance card several hours ago - they used to have a 24 hour nurse helpline where they would give limited medical advice, but it was better than nothing, however, this time I got a customer service rep, so I figured I would ask where they would give limited medical advice, but it was better than nothing, however, this time I got a customer service rep, so I figured I would ask the fine citizens here on Reddit. Worth the trip? I’m down for a paid day off, not so down for subjecting my family to a nasty ED waiting room for 8-12 hours if it’s NOT appendicitis.
He wants to get some rest right now; it’s just after 11 PM my time and truthfully, I’m working a combination of first, second, and third shift(s) with a maximum of seven hour “breaks” in between and we’re all exhausted. Should I let him sleep a little and assess when he wakes, or should I not even take the chance?
EDIT: he just told me he’s still having little sharp stabbing pains here and there, though not nearly as frequently as before (I woke him up to move him to a more comfortable position, it’s been an hour now since he vomited.)

2024.05.15 05:20 halaloceansun My Algerian passport has a spelling mistake

I'm Algerian-Canadian.
My last name is spelled incorrectly in my biometric Algerian passport.
It's also spelled incorrect on my National ID Card (carte d'identité Biométrique).
I submitted a request at the local court in Algeria to correct the spelling of my name.
They fixed it, and now when I request my birth certificate at any local Baladiyya, my name is spelled correctly.
The court gave me a jugement du tribunal which shows that they corrected my name.
I believe now I can simply request a new Algerian passport and national ID card.
However, in order to request a new passport, I need to bring an "S12" to the Algerian Consulate in Canada.
Should the S12 automatically be correct as well as soon as the Algerian court fixed it?
Or do I have to go to the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kouba and share the jugement du tribunal with them so they can manually fix the spelling in my S12?
I'm basically wondering: If the local Baladiyya automatically updated it, should it be automatically updated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well?
Or do I have to go to them to manually update it using the jugement the court gave me?

2024.05.15 04:49 Intrepid_Aerie_9795 NJ Traffic Stop - Questionable Ticket

I was pulled over after an officer randomly ran my plates, and upon them approaching my window, I provided my license, registration and insurance. Unfortunately, it turns out I was in posession of 3 copies of my insurance with 2 of them being expired and 1 of them being the up-to-date version. I showed the officer the first 2 documents, which happened to be the expired ones (This was before I realized I had any expired copies in my posession). He mentioned they were both expired, and he asked if I could pull it up electronically. I said "yes, I can pull that up no problem" and pulled it up right away, but he quickly sped over to his car after making the request. I had the up-to-date paper-version in my glove box, but I had the electronic version pulled up in the moment as I was under the impression that the paper-card was somehow lost. After he came back, I showed him the updated copy of the insurance, yet he proceeded to give me a ticket charging me with "Fail to Poss. Driv Ins Card". Despite me immediately pulling up the electronic version (Well before he could write the ticket) he had already submitted the charge which also comes along with a court appearance. He said something along the lines of "He can't be waiting around for me to find my insurance", however, in total, the initial interaction occured in a matter of seconds, and I was able to pull up the insurance card right away in the few moments or so after he requested it. Not a lot of time passed by at all... had he stayed a few more seconds, he would have seen the insurance well before he could even have the chance to write the ticket. How should I proceed if I would like to object against this charge. Is it objectable?

2024.05.15 04:46 CrunchyWaffle22 Osap Personal Information not updating as high school student without a financial aid office

Hello, I will be a first year university student starting fall 2024, so im still in high school currently. This means no financial aid offices for me to contact. Somehow, the birthday on my osap is wrong, and its preventing all my osap application from processing.
Here's a paste:
__

Status as of Dec 18/23

Your OSAP applications are on hold because there is a discrepancy between the basic personal information that you provided when you registered for OSAP and the information on file at the Social Insurance Number Registry at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
This impacts all of your OSAP applications. That means that all of your applications will not process any further and that any funds that you are expecting to receive will not be given to you until this issue is resolved.
__
I've already requested them to change my birthdate maybe around january, but it's still pending because i have to submit some documentation to my financial aid office, which i don't have because I'm still in highschool. What do I do?

2024.05.15 03:51 Ok-Stuff-8803 Being asked to prove a child never existed

This is a little while ago now but I thought I would share. We now have 3 kids but with our first we also were in the process of getting residency in Australia with all 3 of us. This was going OK with the standard mildly annoying requests, requirements and hassle.
We provided all the correct information about our son including birth certificates.
Some way into the process we got a call from Immigration. By NO ERROR ON OUR PART someone in their process put into the system we had two children and they wanted the details of the second one. This was of course a surprise. I told the person on the phone there was no second child and after a conversation as I mentioned we established we provided NO indication on any forms ETC. They said they will need to speak to their supervisors ETC and call us back. With this being a mistake their end I thought they would sort it out.
On the call back though the supervisor while admitting basically to their error it was now in the system and made the very silly request...
"We will need for you to prove this child does not exist."
The first suggestion was for me to provide a Death Certificate!
I was already really confused with the first statement but the second literally blew my mind.
I had to explain "How can I get a death certificate for a child not born". Basically they told me that I would have to pay the registrations office with details for a child that does not exist. At this point I did not even know the name they put in the system by mistake. I would of course have to pay for this.
I told them all this was silly but at this point they were adamant and I had to arrange another call while I looked into this. After telling my wife and watching her reaction I called what I thought the right place to find out. The lady was as confused as I was but basically said they would not issue anything for something that did not exist, they had nothing for this and would not issue a death certificate of any sort.
When the Immigration called I had to say I literally had no means to do so and stressed again how insane of a request it was.
They went away and eventually sorted it themselves but added over a month delay into our Residency progress.
Anyone else had any insane requests from government agencies?
Even to today I see Common sense continually be eroded out of existence across the board and I have to wonder where we are heading :/

2024.05.15 03:44 ExplanationAfraid627 I spoke up and the abuse is so bad I should have just shut up

Sorry for the long post. I’m just so down. Here’s tonight’s rollar coaster ride😞
I own my home, my bf does not have any ownership/isn’t on the deed. I put down a significant down payment in order to keep my mortgage at a reasonable monthly rate. My bf pays a little under half the mortgage as his rent (he would be paying double if renting an apartment, I’ll keep it at that) and groceries (he has kids, I don’t and he controls when he does the shopping and how much he spends). I pay utilities and pretty much all of the other expenses: exterminator, dogs-vet, groomers, daycare, pet insurance), cable/internet, landscaping, literally everything else. It’s beyond unfair, but it is what it is. But my point here is I’m stuck with all the costs you can’t control. Utilities you can to some extent by being efficient and smart about them, none of which he is because it’s not coming out of his pocket.
Over the winter the gas bill alone was astronomical. Between December and April I paid close to $3k JUST FOR GAS. Anyway, I had central air installed when I bought the place and my one request is that because I pay ALL utilities that I am the only one who controls the thermostat. I’m beyond reasonable with it, but my abusive bf abuses the heat and AC which is why I continuously ask him to please not touch. If he didn’t abuse the system then I’d have no issues (or if he offered to chip in a few extra bucks, but he doesn’t).
May is that one month around here where the utility bills are low because the heat and AC don’t need to be on. I came home from the gym tonight and the AC was on… not just on, it was blasting. I even made a comment before I left (when the AC was OFF) that it was cold inside. I go upstairs and he had the thermostat set to 67… it was cooler outside than that!!! I spoke up because I do not have the funds to spare by turning the AC on this early in the season when it’s not even hot yet. His response? Buckle up everyone…
I had to take a Xanax. I dread waking up tomorrow and getting the silent treatment all day. If you made it this far, thank you. Also, if you made it this far can you please tell me if it’s me? Am I in the wrong? I don’t even know which end is up anymore

2024.05.15 03:16 Complete-Rooster1590 Can my landlord hold me responsible for a shared septic backing up another house

Throwaway account because this is rather specific. Location-Colorado USA
Okay so my family of 5 (2 adults and 3 small kids) were renting a house on a property that also has a small guest house downhill from my home. Our landlord was renting the little house to her friend, a nice single lady who lives alone. All utilities are split 75/25 and the septic is shared.
So back in January, sewage backed up into the other house and landlord sent an emergency crew to pump and clean out the system. They discovered the blockage was caused by a large amount of rocks in the tank, believed to have been dropped in through the cleanout, which had a basic cover not childproof.
So right off the bat, everyone is thinking my almost 5 year old is responsible for the rocks. Even I thought that. It was an accident but he’s definitely capable of something like that. She sent us a message stating this kind of damage is outside of the terms of our lease and requested 500 dollars for the pump which we paid her right away. We didn’t admit fault, in fact we were adamant that we’ve never seen him playing there before, but also we felt so bad for the whole situation that we just paid her. She also had a childproof cap placed on the cleanout pipe.
Understand that up until this point we had a good relationship with her and we honestly believed we were doing the right thing. She had to have the other home cleaned out and flooring replaced, but in February she gets a new tenant in there. A single guy, kind of weird and from the very beginning he was complaining that he can still smell sewage and was getting sick from it. I think she did more work on the home, but did not have the septic rechecked. So he moves out and the house is vacant.
Fast forward to the last week of April. We are in the process of moving out and there are some small furniture items of hers that she requested we take down to the guest house. Upon getting down there, we find that the sewage has backed up again. And this time it’s worse because no one was living in the home.
So basically she’s starting all over. She pumps again and it’s more rocks. Now I know for a fact that this time it wasn’t my kids. She has the pipes scoped which showed no break in the line, so it’s believed that the rocks were still there from last time. But they also recommended she excavate to check the areas of pipe that the pump couldnt reach, and when they did that they found 2 rocks partially blocking the pipe, compounded by baby wipes or disinfectant wipes.
Now she’s telling us she will be charging for the scope, excavation and her insurance deductibles for the other home.
I’m not paying again. In my mind, it’s not my fault that that shit wasn’t fully removed the first time. It sounds like another backup was inevitable and it’s just crazy bad luck that it happened again right as we were moving out. I actually regret paying for the septic the first time.
She has two units sharing one septic system and is holding my family 100% for damage to another premises just because we have kids, and the other party is literally a personal friend of hers… I understand that the most likely explanation was my kid doing something but there’s no proof and never was.
So my question is did I screw myself over by paying for it the first time? I was trying to do the right thing and felt like I was acting in good faith, but now I’m afraid that paying for it indicates admission of liability. Please advise.
