Lost in Maze Entrance
So I've been doing the questline, I killed Pilevolcamon and got the Fire thing for MudFrigimon, they went away. I returned to DATS, handed the quest to Richard. Now he gives no further quest nor does Starmon (or anyone in the maze entrance really) and I have no further quests in Maze Entrance.. Digivive has no quests either... What am I missing? Please help me T_T
The next quest should be the Evil Ring one I believe..?

Rock Band in 2024: FAQ (Instrument Availability, Compatibility, Exports, Legacy Games, and the Future)
u/mysario u/storm360 I will now claim my Honorary Pin and Half eaten Chocolate Chip Cookie now Please
What Rock Band game(s) are currently available?
The only current active game and still buyable digitally on new gen consoles is Rock Band 4, Which was originally released in 2015 following up with a now free Rivals expansion update adding more than 20 free songs to the game along with some Quality of Life changes such as: Online Quickplay, New campaign mode, Variable Breakneck Speed, Challenges, etc. Rock Band 4 is fully compatible with the new-gen Xbox Series and PS5 consoles, using the same instruments, adapters, and connection methods as Xbox One/PS4. For more information, check here: https://www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/rock-band-4-and-next-gen-consoles
What about the older titles on PlayStation, Xbox 360 and Wii, Are they still Supported?
All other Rock Band games are only playable directly on the console generation they were released on (XB360/PS3/Wii). DLC released for those games is still available on XB360 and PS3 (see below for info on what content may *not* be available). The in-game shops for 360/PS3-era legacy games has been shut down on January 24th 2023, but Online Play has been only confirmed to work on Xbox 360 as the PlayStation 3 version relied on Rock Central Server connection which is no longer active on legacy consoles. The Wii Shop was shut down by Nintendo and is no longer available to purchase or download content through for any game. Microsoft has also officially announced the closure of the Xbox 360 marketplace to set on July 29th 2024 making all Rock Band 1-3 DLC as well as Pro upgrades for Rock Band 3 Era DLC permanently unobtainable officially for Xbox 360 due to Rock Band 4 store purchases Pre Rock Band 4 DLC not being backwards compatible ex: Buying a Rock Band 1-3 DLC song on the Rock Band 4 music store will not carry backwards to Xbox 360 and will require a separate purchase on 360 to make it playable. This is not the case for PlayStation 4/5 where buying a Rock Band 1-3 DLC song will carry backwards to PlayStation 3 on their respective title release. Any Downloadable content purchased on the Xbox 360 should still be Re-Downloadable once the marketplace shuts down and songs purchased first on Xbox 360 should carry forward into Rock Band 4 using the same Microsoft account on both consoles. This is also the same for PlayStation, Songs bought on PlayStation 3 should carry over to PlayStation 4/5 if you have the same PlayStation Network account.
Is Rock Band 4 still active?
The final Downloadable content for Rock Band 4 was released on January 25th marking the official end of New Rock Band 4 era Downloadable songs. As of March 2024 Online Quickplay and Rivals seasonal challenges have not been affected are set to still continue onward. With these weekly challenges in the Rivals mode. Those challenges will also earn you additional content, such as outfits for your characters, in-game instruments, or track skins. Starting in 2022, Harmonix is now requiring users to use an Epic Games Account and link their platform accounts in order to access online services for Rock Band 4 on all platforms. If you are new or haven't linked your Epic Games account yet, You can do so here: https://account.harmonixmusic.com/
This is also required for other Harmonix titles such as AUDICA and Dance Central (2019) in order to access online services for those titles. Note: if you already have an existing Epic Games account, That account may be used to link your current console of choice, otherwise a new Epic Games account linked should still grant you online multiplayer services. This will not affect Downloadable content if you have previously purchased any songs in the past.
How can I find instruments for the game?
PDP (Performance Designed Products) Has officially announced the new Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller for PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox one/Series on January 31st 2024 https://youtu.be/g7-CdvRhCUk?si=07GLzPwhfAjScRgq](https://youtu.be/g7-CdvRhCUk?si=07GLzPwhfAjScRgq)) marking a new instrument hardware run expected to be available sometime in Spring/Summer 2024 with Pre-Orders going live March 21st 2024. (Pre-Orders currently sold out, Restock is expected as confirmed by PDP, Keep up to date here: https://pdp.com/collections/riffmaster-wireless-guitar-controller) The guitar controller is fully backwards compatible with Rock Band 4 and will also be compatible with Fortnite Festival once instrument support is implemented. No official word has been released on whether they will be producing more drums or adapters as only the guitar controller has been revealed. It's also worth mentioning that only the Xbox version of the guitar is compatible with PC natively with reports stating the PlayStation guitar has no current whammy or tilt support on PC if you plan on using for other rhythm game titles on there.
As for players looking to buy drums for Rock Band, The Original Hardware Partners Harmonix has teamed up with (Madcatz) to manufacture new equipment for the game back in 2015 are no longer making new licensed Fender Guitar controllers, Drums, or adapters currently. There was a Re-Run of instruments in 2016 with PDP prior to the Riffmaster controller reveal with the Fender Jaguar Guitar controller and more Drums as part of the Rivals expansion release but these also stopped being manufactured over 6 years ago and no more of these instrument models are being produced anymore. More information on the Riffmaster Guitar controller can also be found here: [https://youtu.be/bbmNkhZr8vY?si=qcFQarSeKU2H5e7e](https://youtu.be/bbmNkhZr8vY?si=qcFQarSeKU2H5e7e))
So, Where can I get instruments in the meantime before the Riffmaster releases?
The best option for instruments before the Riffmaster planned release is to scour places for second-hand sales, such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, local pawn shops, etc. Be careful about conducting those types of transactions, and make sure all necessary parts are included, including the necessary Bluetooth dongles for PS3 instruments. Please also note that due to the lack of any ability for Reddit mods/admins to police those types of transactions, they cannot be offered or conducted publicly on this subreddit. For playing vocals, almost any USB microphone will work. If you’re on Xbox One, you will need specially-made adapters to use instruments not specifically made for Rock Band 4/Xbox One. Legacy (Xbox 360) wireless controllers will require a Mad Catz Wireless Legacy Adapter. Wired/MIDI drumkits will require a PDP Wired Adapter. Neither are being newly manufactured at this time (same issues as the instruments). There are methods of pulling apart and re-wiring drums to connect them to other devices that may function as a workaround, but try them at your own risk.
Another possible workaround has recently been discovered for Xbox players regarding E-drum kits and legacy instruments by u/bookreader52 which makes the process of getting your guitars and drums to work on the Xbox version of Rock Band 4 significantly easier for those interested. More information can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/Rockband/comments/10pdmzs/xbox_one_instruments/
If you're on PlayStation, note these dongle specifics: RB2, RB3, and Beatles PS3 guitar dongles are interchangeable, and will work on all PS3 RB2 and RB3 Stratocaster Controllers and all PS3 Beatles guitars. RB1 guitar dongles only work with RB1 guitars. For drums, the drum dongles are interchangeable, and work on RB2, RB3, and Beatles drums. RB1 drums are wired and do not use dongles. [Here's a page with some info on how to tell the dongles apart](https://web.archive.org/web/20180103144825/https://www.ebay.com/gds/Lets-clear-up-the-confusion-with-Rock-Band-PS3-Wii-Dongles-/10000000208054823/g.html).
All the PS3 Rock Band guitars\* and drums work in all the PS3 Rock Band games, and also in RB4 on PS4 and PS5. There is no native interoperability between console families, so Xbox controllers won't work on PS4 or vice versa. Again, there may be unofficially-made adapters to make certain combinations possible, but research and try them at your own risk. This link will help with the specifics of what is compatible: [https://harmonix.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217769748-What-legacy-music-game-controllers-will-be-compatible-with-Rock-Band-4-])
What songs are still available to download/purchase?
In a general sense: Anything official (NOT from Rock Band Network, the last-gen secondary shop of songs not directly licensed by HMX) that you’d purchased on your current console account in the past will be immediately available to download through your console’s content management menus/screens upon install of the game. This includes game disc setlist exports from the past that you’d paid to move into other games at the time. Game disc setlists you did not pay to export last-gen are no longer available to newly obtain. Harmonix no longer has the rights to sell those songs as a bundle. Some songs from those games have been re-released as individual DLC songs, referred to as "Rewinds." Unused Track Packs and other printed marketplace codes *may* still work, but new codes or export methods cannot be generated in any way. This thread is comprehensive about what still works:https://www.reddit.com/Rockband/comments/kstppa/rock_band_exports_track_packs_special_packs_list/
Almost all DLC officially released over the course of the series is still available to purchase for RB4. There are a relatively few songs that have had to be removed from the store for licensing reasons, including some major artists such as Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, and Journey. There are no ways to get those songs now if you hadn’t bought them when available. The link to view those delisted songs can be found here:https://www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/rock-band-dlc-relicensing-info. If more songs need to be delisted in the future, there has historically been about a month's worth of warning before they get pulled from the store. They'll be announced there in that blog, or in a "Last Call" section in the in-game store.
Future Plans and Rock Band 5 Possibility?
There are no current announcements for another game in the series. A fan-written Wishlist/fiction article has been incorrectly referenced as real by Google's algorithms. A developer quote referencing RB4 as a "platform for the future" is accurate, but was made early last-gen before any modern forward compatibility was confirmed, and is not necessarily a current de-confirmation of any new installments ever existing for newer generations of consoles. Harmonix is currently at work with their newly released music rhythm game: Fortnite Festival which is available to play on PlayStation 4/5 Xbox One/Series and Nintendo Switch. As of March 2024 there is no official instrument support to Fortnite Festival but has been confirmed by Harmonix's Blog Post: https://www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/an-update-on-rock-band-4-dlc Quoting the article from Daniel Sussman: Looking ahead, the Harmonix team has been hard at work over the last two years to develop Fortnite Festival, which brings rhythm action gaming (and more) to the Fortnite ecosystem. It’s free to play, we have a rotating selection of songs that you can play (for free) anytime. If you are a fan of the rhythm game category, Fortnite Festival is the place to be; and with support for RB4 instruments coming, this is not the time to hang up your guitars just yet….
(UPDATE APRIL 2024) Fortnite Festival now has official support for guitar controllers to allow playing Pro Guitar and Pro Bass modes in game which utilizes pressing the fret buttons and strumming along to the notes rather than tapping them with a normal controller. Currently only Rock Band 4 Stratocaster, Jaguar and Riffmaster controllers work on console with custom binding support coming as well as support for legacy intruments currently under works to expand the availability of further instrument support.

2024.02.23 20:06 thegreyquincy [WTS/WTT] 4 knives in all flavors: Pena, Arcane Designs, WE, Tactile, and The James Brand

Timestamp
Tactile Rockwall Golf (Cerakote and ano by me) - SV/TV: $275 OBRO TRADED - Magnacut blade steel. At least second owner. Looks to have been sharpened by a previous owner. I've had this one for a while, just don't carry it anymore. This one is has the golf ball dimpling and includes a black base Cerakote with a clear coat of Cerakote FX for a little teal sheen that pops in the light. You can see another vide here. Includes Skiff bearings for a really nice action and drops shut. Includes box, CoA, and original bearings.
Arcane Designs Preytheon g10 - SV/TV: $200 OBRO WITHDRAWN - S35VN blade steel. Factory edge. I believe I'm third owner. I really love this one but want to get a titanium one instead. This one includes the glow-in-the-dark shred CF inlays (see vid) as well as the original jade g10 inlays. The amount of blade that pops out of this is insane, and the multiple deployments on it make it super fidgety and actually a really utilitarian EDC that's got that unique sci-fi feel. I have 3 other Arcanes and love them all, so if you haven't tried one you really need to. Includes pouch, CoA, and original inlays.
Pena XL Raptor titanium and black micarta - SV/TV: $265 OBRO TRADED - M390 blade steel with the factory edge. I believe I'm the second owner. I really love Pena and this is no exception, I just prefer to carry my Large Apache over this. I think I've carried this once and that's it. The blade shape and hollow grind on this one are super gnarly and look sooooo good with the traditional silhouette of the body. The ergos and size of the XL are head and shoulders above the original Raptor, which is too small imo. Really amazing rounded front flipper, so you don't have a triangle sticking out. Pena probably makes my favorite front flippers - look like traditional slippies but with M390, on bearings, Reate made so build quality and action are always great - what more could you ask for?! This includes the box as well.
WE Speedster in titanium (Cerakote and ano by me) - SV/TV: $150 OBRO SOLD - 20cv blade steel rocking the factory edge. More shots here. At least second owner. I won this one in a raffle and decided to try doing some Cerakote fill in the milling. It went okay for my first attempt, but I always intended to redo it, just haven't gotten around to it. If you check the vid, you can see some areas where the little fill pen slipped a bit, but not crazy noticeable. I'll also sandblast or bead blast the scales if the buyer wants at no charge. I also anodized the hardware a blurple, and can bead blast or sandblast that back to plain ti if requested, but I believe WE will just send you replacement hardware for free. claaark added a detent ramp on this one and the action is insanely smooth; honestly outside of my Ziffius this is the one in my collection with the action most deserving of the adjective "glassy," and I have a Rosie, a couple of Eustlers, Koenigs, etc. No box on this one but I do have a WE pouch for it.
The James Brand Folsom in black micarta - SV/TV: $40 OBRO SOLD - VG10 blade steel rocking factory edge. First owner. Just got this one from the BHQ sale where it was $35 just to see how it was. Honestly, it's not worth MSRP in the slightest but it's actually an awesome EDC option for ~$40. I never used or carried, but I did flick a bit to see if it was for me so the micarta has some patina starting from that. I was only able to thumb-flick this one open using the hole in the blade, but maybe with practice you can reverse flick, just be careful because I legit threw it a couple of times trying to practice it. Overall a nice little liner lock that is criminal at the usual price of $100+, but is a great gift or something to keep for yourself at the sale price. The vid makes the action look worse than it is, and was getting better after only a few flicks so it'll probably be really good once it breaks in. My collection has a lot of similar stuff, so I'm not keeping it. Includes box and paperwork.

2024.02.07 07:19 InfernoAA The Ultimate Dead Royal Rumble (dir. Corey Youngblood)

At first glance, this seems like a pretty simple Rumble. All you really have to do is pick your favorite wrestler who happens to be dead, like the one you watched growing up and really took to, give him a favorable spot and have him win the Rumble. It's simple, right?
Well... for me its a bit more complicated than that.
Because my favorite wrestler growing up who is now dead is... um....

Entrant #1: Chris Benoit

.... Oh my gosh, I'm not actually gonna do this am I?
Let's find out.

AND LFG

Entrant #2: Eddie Guerrero

Chris Benoit and Eddie start out and Chris Benoit collapses to his knees as he watches his best friend walk down to the ring. Eddie enters the ring and Chris Benoit immediately embraces him, telling Eddie how much he has missed him, how much he loves him, how sorry he is for their shitty match at ECW One Night Stand. Eddie tells Benoit that it's okay, he has missed Benoit and he loves him too.
"So Chris, how's that wife and kid?"
"....."
Chris Benoit chops Eddie hard to avoid having to answer that question and this match is underway. Eddie and Benoit trade armdrags and then suplexes with Eddie scoring two Amigos before Benoit is able to drop down behind and score three German Suplexes. Benoit cuts his throat and ascends to the top turnbuckle for the Diving Headbutt only for Eddie to roll to the other side of the ring and to the floor. Benoit steps down from the turnbuckle as Eddie pats himself on the back outside only to be wiped out by a Chris Benoit suicide dive.

Entrant #3: Owen Hart

It would be in really poor taste to have Owen Hart zipline into the ring, wouldn't it?
Owen Hart charges in a house on fire, meeting Eddie and Benoit at ringside and dropping Benoit with a European Uppercut. Owen throws Benoit and Eddie in the ring and joins them, ducking a clothesline by Benoit and dropping Eddie with a Dropkick. Benoit chops Owen but Owen chops back, ducks another shot by Benoit and drops the Rabid Wolverine with a German Suplex of his own. Eddie charges in and catches Owen's leg only for Owen to drop him with an Enzuigiri. Owen keeps up the attack on Eddie only for Benoit to peel him away and back the King of Harts into the east side turnbuckle. Benoit shoots Owen off only for Owen to leap onto the adjacent turnbuckle and fly off with a Reverse Crossbody taking out both Benoit and Guerrero

Entrant #4: Jim Neidhart

Okay, listen, I have a list of thirty dead guys and I'm just kinda entering them in randomly outside of Benoit and Guerrero. I got Owen and Jim Neidhart back to back at complete random.
That's kinda cool.
Anyway.
Jim Neidhart hits the ring and assists Owen in laying the Smackdown! on the Two Amigos. The Hart Foundation is kinda set up to be heels here since purgatory isn't in Canada. Anyway, they are getting heat on Eddie and Benoit to make them look more sympathetic. For Eddie it works, for Benoit its a little tougher because, you know... murder.
Despite this, Eddie gets his knees up on the Rocket Launcher and he and Benoit begin to mount a comeback with a pair of Double Suplexes on Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart. This whole thing breaks down into a huge chop battle between the four men as Entrant #5 enters.

Entrant #5: Rick Rude

OH MY???
Rick Rude enters, looking stachier than ever, mullet flowing in the wind as he performs his full entrance, complete with robe as the four other competitors look on in awe. Is Bobby Heenan there? Sure! He's dead. He can be there.
Anyway, Rick Rude gets a microphone and brags about banging angels in heaven while the four men in the ring are a bunch of sweathogs who can't get a date...
Especially you, Benoit.
Rick Rude enters the ring and tells the four to pipe down as he removes his robe for the ladies. Rick Rude removes the robe and is immediately pummeled by all four men and subsequently thrown from the ring for the first elimination.

Entrant #6: Mr. Perfect

Mr. Perfect enters the Rumble after catching a towel from behind his back as dead Bobby Heenan joins dead Gorilla Monsoon on dead commentary. Gorilla Monsoon states Mr. Perfect last competed in a Rumble in 2002 and is back for more. Heenan claims Mr. Perfect is his new pick and claims Mr. Perfect beat the piss out of Brock Lesnar and can surely beat 29 other Legends.
Mr. Perfect enters the ring and is targeted by Owen and Jim Neidhart. The two move to throw Mr. Perfect out multiple times but each time Mr. Perfect manages to evade elimination by skinning the cat or very slyly slipping back between the ropes. Eddie and Benoit target Neidhart leaving Owen and Hennig in a one on one for the time being.

Entrant #7: Sean O'Haire

Sean O'Haire is dead, and he's also in this Rumble. Sean O'Haire claims to be an advocate from Hell and tries convincing women in the crowd to flash him their titties, men in the crowd not to pay taxes, and all dead people in attendance to vote Democrat. Sean O'Haire gets in the ring and joins the Benoit/Guerrero alliance because he sees Eddie as a lying, cheating and stealing role model.

Entrant #8: Roddy Piper

Okay this one wasn't random, but I can't have Andre The Giant in this early.
Roddy Piper comes down to the ring and Sean O'Haire goes for a high five.
"Mr. Piper! We teamed together before, right?"
"We did?"
"Yeah! We were a tag team in Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain, right?"
"We were?"
"Yeah! Now help me eliminate..."
"You got it!"
Roddy Piper grabs Sean O'Haire by the scruff of the neck and throws him out of the Rumble, standing tall in the ring, looking down at his former protege.
"I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum!"

Entrant #9: Junkyard Dog

What the dog doin? Don't know.
JYD comes down to the ring in 1981 Mid South shape and just starts thumping and bumping all competitors, culminating with a huge body slam to Jim Neidhart sending him over the rope and out to the floor, eliminated.
That's what he gets for bringing Natalya into this world...
Owen Hart dropkicks Dog from behind and JYD is sent over the rope as well but manages to hang on, headbutting Owen back into the ring and saving himself from elimination.

Entrant #10: Brodie Lee/Luke Harper

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
Brodie Lee storms down the ramp in Wyatt Family gear and starts dishing out Lariats like there's no tomorrow before coming face to face with Chris Benoit. Benoit cuts his throat and the two go at it with chops and punches before Benoit lands a stiff Headbutt only for Brodie to come roaring back with the Discus Lariat.

Entrant #11: The Iron Sheik

"I ONLY GOT NUMBER 11 IN THE RUMBLE??? FAWKIN BULLSHIT!"
Sheiky baby makes his way down to the ring in a foul mood but is immediately eliminated by Mr. Perfect with a clothesline.
"GO FAWK YOURSELF CURT HENNIG YOUR SON IS A DUMB PIECE OF SHIT SON OF A BITCH!"
Iron Sheik walks up the ramp and goes into the pit where dead Mean Gene Okerlund is waiting with a microphone.
"Iron Sheik, my gosh you barely lasted two seconds in the Royal Rumble! That has to be some sort of record."
"FAWK THE ROYAL RUMBLE! FAWK MY RECORD! YOU SEE THIS TURKEY? THIS TURKEY IS THE ROYAL RUMBLE RECORD... ACH-TUNG!"

Entrant #12: Yokozuna

Former Rumble winner Yokozuna enters the ring with dead Mr. Fuji by his side and Bobby Heenan wonders aloud how anyone will be able to eliminate Yokozuna! Yoko gets in the ring and various wrestlers bounce off of him except for Junkyard Dog who brings the fight to Yoko, staggering the grand master into the ropes. Yoko rebounds and walks right into a massive scoop slam from JYD who has all the dogs barking.
JYD stalks Yoko on the ground now and scrambles in with a series of headbutts before Owen Hart hops on Dog's back with a sleeper hold. JYD muscles up and manages to dump Owen out to the apron, only to be met with a Shuffle Side Kick from Yoko sending Dog over the rope and out to the floor as Owen tugs the top rope down to ensure Dog's elimination. Owen scrambles back in the ring and hugs his former tag team partner as the two now pair up with control of the ring.

Entrant #13: New Jack

New Jack enters with the Hulk hands so you know he means business.
Just kidding, New Jack enters and stabs almost everyone.
With all competitors down, New Jack points to the ceiling and a scaffold begins to descend from the rafters. Owen Hart is the only man not to be stabbed by New Jack and he does not want to join them, so Owen begins climbing the scaffold with New Jack in hot pursuit. Owen finds himself on top of the scaffolding with New Jack...
... it would be in poor taste to...
Yes, yes it would.
New Jack goes to stab Owen but Owen counters the attack and turns the blade on New Jack, impaling the Gangsta and sending him tumbling off the scaffold through multiple tables on the outside.

Entrant #14: Brian Pillman

The cool Brian Pillman enters the Rumble and chases up the scaffold after his good friend Owen as he helps Owen climb back down to safety in the ring. Brian goes to attack Yokozuna but Owen stops him and the three enjoy a fragile alliance and go around attacking Benoit, Eddie, Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper and Brodie Lee.

Entrant #15: Bobby Eaton

Beautiful Bobby Eaton enters the match and looks at the scaffold, thinking, "Oh wow, Jim Cornette took a bump off that thing." Bobby enters the match and takes a look at Yokozuna, Brian Pillman and Owen Hart. Realizing he doesn't have Dennis Condrey or Stan Lane to back him up as they are still very much alive, Bobby simply turns around and eliminates himself from the Royal Rumble.
And thus, he was named: Bobby Eaton, The Pussy.

Entrant #16: British Bulldog

HE'S COMING FOR HIS TOIDAL SHOT AT DEAD WRESTLEMANIA!
British Bulldog enters and now this is a little ridiculous with The Hart Foundation Alliance here. Bulldog joins Owen, Pillman and Yokozuna in this alliance, yet something has to give, and it's going to give quickly...

Entrant #17: Andre The Giant

Executive decisions rule.
Andre The Giant makes his way to the ring in a fancy ring cart from Wrestlemania 3. Andre immediately flattens Owen and Pillman and while Bulldog puts up a good fight, Andre manages to chop him down to size as well. We are left with an Andre and Yokozuna staredown as number 18 comes out.

Entrant #18: Crash Holly

"GOOD GOSH, HOW CAN THE RING HOLD ALL OF THAT WEIGHT???" Bobby Heenan exclaims as Crash Holly, weighing in at allegedly well over 400 pounds, steps in the ring between Andre The Giant and Yokozuna. Crash bows up to Yoko and then Andre only for Andre to send Crash flying out of the ring with an elimination.
With this, Yoko charges in and begins trying to muscle Andre up and over the rope but Andre is just too large. Using his great mass, Andre grabs Yoko in a clinch and belly to bellies Yoko over the top rope and down to the floor for the elimination. Andre then begins cleaning house also eliminating Mr. Perfect and Brian Pillman.

Entrant #19: Terry Funk

Terry Funk enters with chainsaw and everyone scatters from the ring, most going under the rope except for Andre who is so frightened by this sight that the Giant leaps and tumbles over the top rope and to the floor for the elimination, losing no speed in running clear to the back. Terry places the chainsaw in the corner where it is confiscated as Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Owen Hart, British Bulldog and Brodie Lee reenter the ring as Roddy Piper watches on from ringside, still in the match yet hidden from view. Terry runs the gauntlet by gouging eyes and dropping foe after foe with piledrivers before he is put down with a huge lariat by Brodie Lee. Brodie is all alone in the ring as Entrant #20 arrives...

Entrant #20: Bruiser Brody

Brodie Lee looks on as the man who inspired him to become a wrestler enters the ring. Both Brodies face off and scowl at one another before engaging in the stiffest competition of strikes you have ever witnessed.
I'm honestly glad New Jack still isn't in the match so he doesn't have a chance to stab Bruiser Brody.

Entrant #21: Dusty Rhodes

Dutty Rhose bay bay.
The American Dream boogies down to the ring and starts dropping Bionic Elbows left and right, only for Roddy Piper to sneak up from behind and lock in the Sleeper Hold. Just like that, Dusty is out and Roddy looks straight down the hard cam...
"I didn't die ten years ago just to get beat by Cody's dad!"
Roddy Piper lifts Dusty up for the elimination but Dusty stops him, delivers a Bionic Elbow, and eliminates Roddy Piper!
"I'm boutta finish my story, daddy."
Just then Dusty is whipped in the back by Terry Funk's belt.
"I'M KILLING THE STORY! WE DON'T READ IN TEXAS!"

Entrant #22: Bam Bam Bigelow

Side note: This theme song rocks. Not the one where he keeps saying "BAM BAM" but the New Generation one that reminds me of a dancing Godzilla.
So Bam Bam gets in the ring and there's at least three fights going on: Dusty and Terry; Brody and Brodie, then Benoit and Guerrero still battling it out with Owen and Bulldog. Bam Bam takes the latter brawl and starts throwing the likes of Owen, Benoit and Guerrero around the ring before coming face to face with British Bulldog. The two heavyweights collide and Bulldog manages to get the better of Bam Bam only for Eddie to sneak in from behind and eliminate Bulldog.
Eddie smiles with glee but turns and finds himself in Bam Bam's crosshairs. Bam Bam launches himself into Eddie and Eddie is sent over the top rope but hangs on. Bam Bam moves to eliminate Eddie but he is stopped by Chris Benoit who piles on Bam Bam with a sleeper, but Bam Bam likewise dumps Benoit onto the apron. Bam Bam tries to solo eliminating Benoit and Guerrero but Benoit manages to lock in a front chancery on Bam Bam and use Bam Bam's momentum to carry the big man's momentum over the top rope and out to the floor with an unlikely assist from Owen Hart within the ring. Benoit, Eddie and Owen survive.

Entrant #23: Animal

Animal's music plays and we see The Road Warrior walking down to the ring, only to be distracted by Hawk who is standing on top of the Titantron. Animal rolls back out of the ring and goes to collect Hawk, not eliminated, just out of the ring.
Meanwhile, Brodie Lee is beginning to tire as Bruiser Brody, the fresher competitor, begins to lay waste to the Exalted One and Brodie's face is just caked in blood at this point. Brodie is on his knees and outstretches his arms, welcoming the punishment just as Bruiser Brody is about to lay in the final blow.

Entrant #24: Bray Wyatt

The lights go out and come back on with a BLEP! and Bray Wyatt is in the ring. Bray spikes Bruiser Brody with the Sister Abigail and launches Bruiser from the ring for the elimination as Brodie Lee looks at his savior. Brodie and Bray embrace only for Bray to eliminate his own disciple from the match. Bray then crushes Owen Hart in the corner as he was taking the fight to Eddie Guerrero and we get another countdown.

Entrant #25: Honky Tonk Man

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Wait a second... isn't Honky Tonk Man still alive?"
And yeah sure, maybe. But he's

DEAD TO ME!!!!!

... alright I'll change it... but I'm keeping it in the family!

Entrant #25: Grand Master Sexay

Banging and Banging and Banging and Banging and
Grand Master Sexay dances his way to the ring as Terry Funk drops Dusty Rhodes with a Piledriver on the apron, eliminating the American Dream. Dusty is upset he couldn't win the Rumble like his son and starts arguing with Terry who is still on the apron. GMS taps Terry on the shoulder and pokes Terry Funk in the eye, causing Terry to grasp his face in pain and fall to the floor, eliminated.
"DAMNIT LAWLER MY EYE! YOU GOUGED MY EYE LAWLER! YOU... PERVERT!"
Grand Master Sexay takes some enjoyment out of this right before he is dumped over the rope by Chris Benoit.

Entrant #26: Big Bossman

Big Bahman heads down to the ring with Nightstick in hand from Fulton County Prison and Big Bahman starts leveling Benoit, Guerrero, Owen and Wyatt with a clear advantage for the Bhaman here. It seems all hope is lost as Bossman is standing tall and has the ring on lockdown when suddenly.

Entrant #27: Hawk

OHHHHHHHHH WHAT A RUSH!
Hawk with a still legal Animal walk down to the ring as two true menaces with spiky shoulder pads and they enter the ring. Bossman goes for a nightstick shot on Hawk but the Hawkster catches it and breaks the nightstick over his knee. The Legion of Doom then drop Bossman with a Double Shoulder Tackle before hitting the Doomsday Device and launching BBM out of the ring. The Road Warriors systematically target Bray Wyatt next and try to eliminate him, but Wyatt pulls Animal out onto the apron with a Mandible Claw. Hawk follows and Wyatt is clobbered, only to be lifted for the Doomsday on the apron which connects, albeit sending all three men to the outside in a triple elimination.

Entrant #28: Razor Ramon

Heyo...
Razor Ramon enters the Royal Rumble and comes face to face with Owen Hart, who has been in the match since number 3. Razor and Owen scrap as Benoit and Eddie renew their fight with only two competitors left.

Entrant #29: Doink The Clown

Oh shit, it's Doink The Clown.
Doink enters the match and sprays Razor Ramon with water from a flower on his vest. Doink runs the gauntlet and drops Benoit, Eddie, and Owen leaving all members in the Rumble in opposite corners. Doink gives a signal and three other Doinks appear in the ring and the four Doinks deliver Bronco Busters to the remaining four competitors. The four Doinks take a bow in the center of the ring only for Benoit, Guerrero, Owen, and Razor to eliminate the four in one fell swoop.

Entrant #30: Macho Man Randy Savage

Oh Yeah!
Randy Savage is our last entrant and he comes to the ring with Pomp and Circumstance blaring over the loudspeakers. Randy hits the ring and comes off the top rope with a Double Axe Handle dropping Chris Benoit. Macho Man drops Eddie and Owen but is stopped by Razor Ramon who lifts him for the Razor's Edge but Savage fights out of it. Randy backs Razor up to the ropes and sidesteps as Owen Hart launches himself at him, connecting with a Crossbody to Razor sending both men to the floor!
We are down to the final three. Benoit, Eddie, and Macho Man. #1, #2, and #30. Randy pounces on both men with a series of punches but Benoit and Eddie use their numbers to back Savage down. Benoit and Eddie hit a Double Suplex and Eddie gets up, but Benoit keeps the Suplexes coming, nailing Three Amigos as Eddie ascends to the top rope and connects with a Frog Splash! Eddie and Benoit move to eliminate Macho Man now but in a cruel twist Eddie comes up from behind and dumps Benoit over the top rope for the elimination! Benoit is stunned, but applauds Eddie and tells him to win the match.
Eddie, a little too satisfied with himself, turns and finds himself face to face with Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage mounts the comeback with a series of clotheslines but Eddie kicks him in the gut and sends him out to the apron. Savage hangs on, runs to the turnbuckle and drops Latino Heat with a Double Axe Handle. Savage drops Eddie with a BIG Scoop Slam and goes to the top, connecting with the Elbow Drop! Savage into the cover now!
1....
2....
...... THIS IS A ROYAL RUMBLE RANDY!
Eddie Guerrero kicks out and launches Randy up over the top rope but Savage hangs on, skinning the cat back into the ring turning right into a leg lariat from Eddie Guerrero. Eddie follows this up with Two Amigos and aims the third towards the ropes, but Macho Man manages to duck behind and land on the apron. Macho Man leaps up with leg scissors around Guerrero's throat! And he pulls him up and over out to the floor!

Royal Rumble Winner: Macho Man Randy Savage

2024.01.29 14:57 hawkshaw1024 [Game Development/Forum Culture] This city calls me Oceanspirit Dennis: A story in which dozens of indie devs make 50 games over 5 years, trying to mock a teenage anime, but accidentally creating a gay icon in the process

Alright, so. You might be familiar with the story of Joe_Cracker and the Light of Courage. This was a sprawling, chaotic, and incoherent series of fan(?) movies, created to make fun of the guy who wrote the script.
I have a similar story for you today. It deals with one Oceanspirit Dennis, mighty pirate. He's the protagonist of a sprawling, chaotic, and incoherent series of fan(?) games, created to make fun of a forum user with an intense anime obsession. Then things went weird.

Before we start, three quick disclaimers:

Finally, I'm very sorry for the length of this post. I hope it's at least halfway readable. At least nobody's going to accuse me of "low-effort" posts.

(0): So what's an AGS, anyway? (1997)

Today's story takes place on the Adventure Game Studio forums. I've written about the community before, but in short: AGS is a free game engine, intended primarily to let you make point-and-click adventure games, but flexible and powerful enough to support all kinds of project. It's not as powerful as Godot or Unity, or as popular as RPGMaker, but it has its charms. There were a few breakout hits that made it outside the adventure gaming bubble, like Cart Life or the Chzo Mythos.
AGS also has a number of community resources, including official web forums. They aren't as active as they used to be, but back in the early 2010s, they were a genuine hotspot for discussing indie games.
So what's the community like? Well, this is an obsolete medium, dedicated to the discussion of an obscure game engine, which is used to make games in a dead genre. This was all true in 2010 as well. In short: These people are passionate weirdos, and I mean this as a compliment.

(1): The Pub Master Quest saga (2009)

Now, one thing that happens in creative spaces (especially game-related ones) is that people just sort of... wander in. All sorts of people, at that. Many people experience the Divine Urge to Create, but don't have the skill-set required to do so. Or much in the way of social graces.
In August of 2009, one such user appeared on the AGS forums. He went through a few different names, but I'll call him "Studio3" here, because I don't want this thread to pollute search results for the other nicknames. (He's still active under some of the other nicknames he used.) Studio3 made his introduction by starting a series of nearly incomprehensible threads, usually announcing game projects of some kind. Here's a small selection.

Pub Master Quest:
Studio3: the game takes place in a pub with a boy named dave(currently useing my voice) he want to become a pubmaster some day but he must take on a lot of task (p.s. game will have a lot of updates as time goes on if ags let's me the update will come out then the old game will have 5 days on shelvs then (#) deleted :'(
Darth Mandarb: Please read the forum rules.

Pub Master Quest 2
Studio3: For some time now I have been working on pmq1 gold hits now I have made up my mine to start on part 2 but I don't want it to be a demo so I am going to make it into 3-4 chapters frist off since my game was really ff.xiii I will be making chap 1:ifrit's crystal + and the game will be in a ps1 ff7-9 like world so I am making the players 3d like.
Snake: Shouldn't you have learned something from the first time?

Neku's New Trip (Chapter 2)
Studio3: it has been a year & i thought that i was never gonna make any more chapters but i found a way to work it out. sorry...well this game takes place a year later in a world were the towns & city's from the first chap of nnt have become corrupt files and can only be restored by going to the M.C.P2 in the core tower. it falls way off from the first nnt or twewy , but the story will make since as to why it does later on in the game.
Darth Mandarb: I'm not sure why "my computer crashed" feels like a good reason for not posting properly. Especially since you've now posted 5 more times in this thread without making the needed updates to the original post/screenshots.

We could keep going, but you get the idea. Recurring themes included pubs, Square Enix mashups, a unique approach to posting, and not meeting the screenshot requirements for a Games in Production thread.
Now, the AGS forums have always been reluctant to actually ban people. People who were Bad at Posting were simply yelled at and told to shape up. Studio3 seemed to be immune to social shaming tactics, but he never crossed the line into outright troll territory, so this stand-off continued for several months.

(2): The RPG template incident (2010)

Eventually, through sheer trial and error, our hero managed to create a thread that complied with forum rules. In it, he requested help with an RPG template project, which was then available for download on the official AGS website.

Studio3: um...hey guy's i was thinking about put a type of rpg in one of my games but the coding is difficult because the example code is for a older version of ags & i cant work with it, now what i will do is make templet of the game & post it up for download but if you are interested let me no..cause i don't have the spair time to really do make this but i really do need the help
See? That's an actual question, and everything up to the first comma is actually coherent. I remember trying to use that template myself, and... yeah, the project just didn't work.

People tried to explain this, and pointed out that AGS wasn't really the best engine for RPGs. Yeah, you could use it, but why not consider RPGMaker? You really should consider RPGMaker.

Darth Mandarb: I second (third/fourth) the RPGMaker option. Not only is it a far superior program to AGS, it's vastly more simple to use. Also, I know you'll find a happy home on their forums as well. The people there are far nicer than the people here on the AGS boards. For example; when you completely ignore their rules, they don't care! When you repeatedly ask for help and then totally disregard every bit of advice that is offered, they love it! When you are told not to do something (12 times) and then do it anyway (over and over and over...), they laugh and pat you on the back!
Darth Mandarb, incidentally, won a Lifetime Achievement Award for his moderation work.

Studio3 would thank the other users for their advice, but decided to tough it out with AGS for now, to the delight of everyone.

Studio3: I'll even make a small game with ags to show my version FF.XIII
Atelier: No. You have a twisted obsession with Square Enix and Final Fantasy. Plan your own, original game.
Studio3: That is some what true but If I come up with a game then 3 year's later decide this is going know then I change the name but keep the name! - there for proving that I did make my own game I just changed the name (ah-ha take that! :]
Atelier: I. Didn't. Understand. A. Word.

He also shared some concept art for his games, apparently trying to explain the connection between Final Fantasy 13 and Pub Master Quest.

Studio3: here is the 2005 vs 2009 version of Dave(main & first character)
The image is gone, but it showed a male character from Final Fantasy 13 (I'm not gonna look up his name) next to the protagonist of some entry in the PubMaster Quest saga. They looked exactly the same but with different hair, and the PMQ character was named "Dave." This finally broke the users.

Snake: The only thing I have a problem with is his signature and his inability to type and take advice and actually use it. I think it's perfectly plausible that he did in fact create that Final Fantasy game and Square took his idea.
The image of an anime guy just named "Dave" was too much. Other posters would riff on the idea, making fun of the characters, making fun of anime in general...

DDQ: Well, I'll give you one thing, he's certainly got the effeminate angst of a Final Fantasy protagonist, but Dave is such a bland name. How about "Ocean", "Spirit", or "Dennis"?
... and eventually creating a little something called Oceanspirit Dennis.

DDQ: I've been called many things, but this city calls me... Oceanspirit Dennis: Scourge of the Underworld. (C) Square Enix.
Snake: Really. This is too much *insert emoticon here that shows how much my guts hurt from laughing*

Oceanspirit Dennis is, in short, what your dad thinks anime is. He's got spiky hair, an oversized sword, an eyepatch, and an incomprehensible tagline. (I recommend clicking the link, it's funny.)
The thread rolled on for another week, though nothing else of substance was discussed. But the idea of Oceanspirit Dennis had caught on.

(3): Oceanspirit Dennis: Scourge of the Underworld! (2010-2011)

Now, remember, this was around 2010. At the time, a lot of netizens suffered from the urge to take a fake thing and make it real. In May 2010, a thread appeared in the Completed AGS Projects subforum, and it was perfectly rules-compliant, thank you very much.
The thread was titled Oceanspirit Dennis: Scourge of the Underworld, and it was started by one Ben304.

Ben304: I've been called many things. But this city calls me... Oceanspirit Dennis: Scourge of the Underworld.
Ryan Timothy B: Brilliant little game. lol I almost shat myself once I saw this posted in the CG's thread.
Ponch: Such a powerful story, filled with all the Jungian Archetypes you find in the great works of the past (before this modern trend of postmodern deconstructionism became de rigueur in narrative fiction).

Mr. ThreeOhFour, we have to emphasize, is The Guy - being an accomplished game designer and an incredibly skilled artist. His work has defined the few commercial point-and-clicks that still get released. His portfolio contains headliner titles like The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, Shardlight, Technobabylon, The Shivah, and the upcoming Nighthawks.
If you don't play adventure games, you might still be familiar with his work from, say, Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator.
So, anyway: Him releasing a game that features a parody of your OC, well... imagine Stephen King writes a short story where your Undertale OC, I don't know, gets eaten by a car or something. People are going to notice.
Including the gaming press.

Alec Meer, writing for RockPaperShotgun: Here's five minutes of your life you won't get back. Fortunately, you might rather enjoy them. Or you might be bewildered by them. Or you might be angered by them. I'm at a loss to accurately describe your likely reaction.

Technically, that article doesn't talk about Scourge of the Underworld, but Ben304's third OSD game, rather confusingly titled Oceanspirit Dennis. That is, of course, not the first game in the OSD series overall - or, for that matter, the third one.
It's the fifteenth.
You see, Ben304 released Scourge of the Underworld to the public domain, allowing everyone else to get in on the action. And people very much did. Within a few weeks, there were five OSD games, including: Oceanspirit Dennis DX by ddq, Oceanspirit Dennis: Mighty Pirate also by Ben304, Oceanspirit Dennis: The RPG by discordance, and Oceanspirit Dennis: Pirates on the Poopdeck! by Ponch.
ddq: Brought to you by Square Peniks, the joke that just won't die!
discordance: I pride myself on knowing a bandwagon when I see one, and Dennis has a funky way of capturing the imagination. Hence this attempt to bring something new and exciting to the table, namely, AN ACTUAL RPG ENGINE!!!
So, by the time that RockPaperShotgun took notice, a few months later, OSD had already become a sprawling and chaotic mess of a franchise. The early games claimed to be "(c) by Square Enix" but it became "Square Peniks" almost immediately, because of course it did.

(4): The Series has Landed (2011)

This is where it gets weird. Oceanspirit Dennis experienced a genuine explosion of popularity, to the annoyance of people who didn't want to feed the trolls.

LimpingFish: The people who go out of their way to make ironic statements and who attempt to meme-ify (...) should share the blame[.] (...) The irony has been nullified. The creators of these games are now intrinsically linked to all this bullshit, seeing as [Studio3] credits anybody who contributed, unwittingly or otherwise, to his lore. Just take a look at his later game entries in the database.

It was far too late, of course. Dennis-mania was sweeping the nation, with its first peak being a dedicated Game Jam in November 2011.
It's actually quite difficult to say how many OSD games were made. There's about twenty entries in the official AGS database, but those are just the ones that made it past the community's gatekeepers. This user-maintained list lists 34 core titles plus 8 spin-offs, but it's only current up to 2014, so it misses some newer releases. The official fan website is a little more discriminating and only goes up to 31 games. And of course the Internet Archive has a collection with 32 items in it, which partially but not entirely overlaps the other lists.
Those lists also don't count remixes or supplemental material like the art contest, or the times the characters appeared in other games, or had cameos elsewhere on the forums. OSD characters also showed up in non-AGS games, and we're also not counting ports to other platforms such as Android.
All told, there's roughly 50 pieces of OSD content, depending on your definition. That's... sort of ridiculous for a one-off joke, right? Even if a lot of these games are barely interactive, or just remakes of Ben304's thing, that's quite a lot.
The releases span half a decade (2010-2015) and there's plenty of real games in a variety of genres, including adventures, turn-based tactics, rhythm games, and walking simulators. We can't really go through them here, this post is already too long as it stands.
But... how does that happen? What is Oceanspirit Dennis?

(5): In which I fail to explain what Oceanspirit Dennis is

At this point, I'll have to zoom out a little, so there won't be as many quotes in the next sections.
By all rights, OSD shouldn't be anything. A lot of it is deliberately incoherent, since it was started to make fun of a bad poster, and everyone's just sort of winging it. However, there's... actually kind of something here?
The games all share a few key concepts, since they're derived from the same image. Dennis is an "oceanspirit," and he has an eyepatch, which means he's a pirate most of the time. Sometimes he has a ship, which is fairly consistently named The Fancy Man when it exists (occasionally The Fancy Lad). Also, Studio3 had a "twisted obsession with SquareEnix," as the forumites liked to put it, so most of the games are JRPG parodies.
Dennis wanders the world, FIGHTS slimes, saves the city, learns new spells, and tells attractive women to get away from him. There's a "core" plot to the franchise, or at least Ben304's efforts, wherein Oceanspirit Dennis battles the minions of the Underworld, and his goal is to defeat someone called Final Boss Karen. She is only vulnerable to an ancient and mysterious spell, but Dennis gets tricked and banished to the uterus dimension for a bit. When he escapes he must wash off the taint of the vagina. All the while he's doing this, he has to keep fighting off attractive women.
Ponch: But watch out for Knottybeard's "girlfriend," the unpredictable Corsettica the Red Leather Witch. Her large breasts and tightly-cinched enchanted corset gives her inexplicable power over the minds of men!
... you may have been wondering when the LGBT angle would come in. Yeah, this is where.

(6): Oceanspirit Dennis and Life Partner Ray

You see, this was 2010. It was a commonly accepted fact at the time that anime = gay and gay = funny. Since Dennis = funny, we must conclude that Dennis = gay. But how do you riff on that idea? Well, clearly he isn't just gay, he's... really very gay! He's so gay, you guys. Sooo gay.
Of course, you can't be a boykisser without having a boy to kiss. This is where we bring in Life Partner Ray. (You can see more of him here.)
Ray is a perfectly average, slightly scruffy man, drawn in a realistic style without any anime features, who is in a steady relationship with Dennis. This was clearly meant to be a joke - Life Partner Ray acts like a "damsel in distress" most of the time, and he also speaks normal English while Dennis is barely coherent.
OneDollar: Ray's village is under threat and the only one who can help is the legendary Oceanspirit Dennis. Tasked with tracking him down Ray sets off for the next city, but quickly runs into problems...

But... it ends up almost wholesome? There's a game whose plot is that Dennis accepts a job as a character in a point-and-click adventure game, just because Life Partner Ray loves adventure games, and Dennis wants to surprise him. (It's never quite clear if Dennis is himself a videogame character or if he's an actor who plays videogame characters, just roll with it.) That's... actually pretty sweet?
And there's another one, called A Taste of Man Cake, where Life Partner Ray is the protagonist. The plot is about buying a penis-shaped birthday cake for Oceanspirit Dennis.

You see, two men being together is already the height of comedy, you can't add to it. Therefore, their relationship must be shown as close, loving and harmonious. You can't make it funnier, it just wouldn't work.
Which isn't to say there weren't romantic betrayals and questionable jokes on occasion. There was some discussion about "gay male misogyny" and implied homophobia, but it wasn't nearly as bad as you'd expect from a nerd forum circa 2011. And the whole thing was approached in good faith at least.
Ben304: It wasn't intended to be homophobic. :) If there was something in there that seemed homophobic and offended you, then I am sorry, but surely silly things like him finding the mention of breasts and that disgusting isn't homophobia.

Stranger still, Ben304 initially drew Dennis with terrible teeth and stick-arms, just a pretty gruesome look in general. ("Realistic" pirate I guess.) But as time goes on, he gradually morphs into a proper anime bishōnen. His later outfits begin to include booty shorts and a vest but no shirt. His scruffy hair, too, transmorphs into handsome anime spikes.
By the end of the series, the original joke has inverted - the funny part is now that Dennis is a beauty-obsessed prettyboy, rather than a gruesome-looking pirate. Life Partner Ray is usually a schlubby nerd, with the joke being that Dennis is completely out of his league, but occasionally he's shown to be a bit of a fashion icon himself.
Life Partner Ray may be the co-star of the franchise, but there's other fun characters in there. These include Hairstylist Toya Toya, who keeps Dennis topped up on hairspray, and the Fancyman's trusted first officer, Emosailor Frank.

The series received all sorts of fun spinoffs too. For a while, it was the done thing to take an existing game and make a Dennis version of it. The Oceanhumble Dennisbundle contained a parody of Binding of Isaac, for example. There's the inevitable genderswap AU as well, starring Oceanspirit Denise and Whoohoo Partner Rei.. Then of course there's Leather Gear Smooth (a gay beach resort AU) and an adaptation of Hamlet called Oceanspirit Danish.
In short: At some point in the process, people forgot they were making a weird joke and started building an actual collaborative universe.

This might have become a source of conflict in itself, because the AGS forums already had one of those, and the "joke games" were displacing Reality-on-the-Norm. However, developer Ponch eventually created a crossover episode, thus defusing the conflict.

Epilogue: Where are they now? (2016+)

People spent years driving this joke into the ground. While the franchise(?) peaked in activity and controversy around 2011, there was a steady trickle of Oceanspirit Dennis content for years after. He became something of an unofficial mascot for the forums. You still see him around every now and then, and a few of his games have made it to Itch.io, but the Dennis-mania is mostly gone. (All the assets are public domain, though, so it could start again at any time.)
The AGS community is still around, however, still doing its thing. Sure, adventure games don't seem to be coming back, and web forums have largely been displaced by platforms like Reddit. But who cares about popularity? You should make what you want to make, and some people just want to make point-and-clicks.
As for Studio3, he took the jokes on the chin, which won him some respect. His artistic skills improved, as did his English. By the mid-2010s, he actually became a respected member of the community. Check out this thread for his post-OSD stuff.
He's dabbled in graphic novels, music and animation, he's done PNGTuber streams, he's run a small YouTube channel, and he's worked on an LGBT-inclusive visual novel called These Last 6 Months With You. Last I saw he was focusing on his day job for the time being, but there's a respectable backlog of content.
Let's conclude this saga with a nice and wholesome post from the AGS forums, quoting the late AGS user Ghost.
Ghost: You've come a great way, man. You had your rough patches and, let's face it, less than stellar games, but now look at your work. (...) You're seeing it through, that's already something very good. Again, best of luck, and I am honestly looking forward to once more play [a Studio3] game. :) Also belated merry christmas- and a good new year.

Memory transcription subject: Reno, Yotul Weapons Specialist
Date [standardized human time]: December 2nd, 2136
The metallic sounds Luke was making as he fiddled with the door were almost comical. It was a symphony of discordant clinks and the occasional under-his-breath curse while he attempted to figure out the door handle. At this point, it was just painful.
"Are you trying to open it?"
He huffed. "What does it look like I'm doing?"
"I dunno, I can't see. It sounds like you're mashing the key against the door like it called you ugly."
A few more curses sounded from in front of me, eliciting a snicker from myself. Alright, he's had his fun. I pushed myself beside him, wedging myself between wall and human. I snagged the key ring from his hands, picked out the proper one, and slid it into the obviously correct slot dedicated to it.
"What the hell!? That's where it goes?"
I tugged the handle and the door slid open, blasting us with the light of day. The early morning sun peeked below thick clouds, casting long shadows. The sunlight would be good for the short while it lasted, until it concealed itself above the gray water vapor.
I tilted my head at my human. "Ever used one of these before?" I held up the key and wiggled it, "It's called a key, and it’s used to open-"
"Oh shut up." Luke said as he pushed past me.
I felt my tail wag as we headed from the access stairwell onto the roof, immediately being blasted with the vigorous winds of the supercontinent. I felt my fur contort itself to the currents of air while Luke’s brown hair suffered the same fate, giving his head an untidy makeover. The smell of rain was strong after being in the stairwell for just a short time. Luke and I walked to the other side of the roof, stopping just before the edge.
"Eh, I've been on taller buildings," Luke said, putting a hand up to give his eyes a shadow while he looked across the concrete chasms. We were on one of the tallest buildings in the city for our first stop, though it didn’t feel like it. The excitement of being up so high was dulled by the morose atmosphere of the city. The nearly empty streets made the copy-pasted buildings seem even more dull than they might have been before the humans’ arrival.
"The city looks more wide than tall. I'd guess it's better for all the storms they get, probably too much effort to build a weather-resistant skyscraper when you could build a dozen shorter buildings."
"Yeah, that makes sense. Hey, if you don’t mind me asking, what did buildings on Leirn look like Pre-Fed?"
“They were well made, built to last. The architecture was more unique than anything the damn Federation mandated. The bigger cities had decently sized buildings, maybe about four stories, if I remember correctly.”
“Oh, did you live in the city?”
“Not before I-” I stopped myself. “...before the Federation came.”
“Out in the country, then?”
“Yeah, we lived out in the country. Used to ride the trains into town with my father.”
“Oh, right, you told me about that. You didn’t have electricity then, right?”
“No, didn’t even know it was a thing until the Feds.”
He looked at me. “That’s so crazy to me. My dad told me stories of times before commercial space flight was common, before colonies in our solar system. Also about how different the planet was before the fruits of the conservation efforts really ripened. Anyway, I always thought how weird it must have been to live back then, and here you are, like a time capsule.”
“A time capsule?” I flicked my ears.
“Okay, thinking about it, that sounds bad. I just meant that you kind of lived in two eras at once. And you adapted to the technology quick, I mean, you’re an expert on modern weapons after all.”
“That’s just what I did for them.” I spoke the words, immediately regretting it as the memories drifted into my thoughts. I just hoped he wouldn’t question me further on my previous work.
“Well, you’ve proved you deserve the title, in my eyes at least. I just mean to say that you adapted really quickly to the circumstances, and that’s pretty damn cool.”
“I guess. Humanity has done more adapting than I ever have.”
“Hey, give yourself some credit.”
“Hm.” I gave him a modest look. “You’ll have to show me Earth someday. Once we get off this wind-blasted rock, I want to see humanity.”
He gave a half-hearted chuckle. “One day. There is much rebuilding to do… Maybe I could show you the Grand Canyon. I don’t think the Feds could make a hole bigger than that one.”
My translator buzzed in my ear. “What’s so great about an old riverbed?”
“It’s big. Uh, that’s it, actually.”
“You humans are quite sentimental, aren’t you?”
“Just wait until you see the world’s biggest ball of twine!”
“You should make a list for me. Satellite imagery can take me far.”
“Ah, where’s the fun in that? You wouldn’t really know how big it is unless you got right up next to it.” He let out a chuckle, genuine this time. “I should show you a picture of my dad and me next to it, we traveled a lot when I was still in school.”
I offered only a tail flick and wandered over to another side of the roof. Luke always seemed to talk about his dad. He did it so easily. He had said that practice was all I needed, but that was easy for him to say. He didn’t abandon his family.
He came up next to me, casting his gaze across the other side of the city. The towering designs of Federation skyscrapers were largely absent here. It was almost disappointing to see them so short, but I did have to admire the sprawling nature of the city.
"Which building is Frankie’s group supposed to be on?" I asked.
"Uh… I think… That one, way the hell over there." He pointed across the large gap between us and another building further from the heart of the city, a good distance away. It was a building shorter than ours, though it held the same, distinctive, boring Federation design principles.
I squinted my eyes. "I don't see anybody on the roof. Probably because you took too long with the incredibly complex entrance and exit apparatus."
"Psh, I'll show you a complex exit apparatus." He clapped me on the shoulder before turning around.
I followed him to the radar setup on the roof. The Terrans weren’t keen on using Tilfish devices, and having their own set of triple-checked data was more reliable by far. He crouched down next to it, pulling out his mobile device. I got down on the opposite side of him, beginning to undo the security hatch on the side of it. It was time to work.
“Hey, come to think of it, what did your home look like?” Luke asked, looking up from his screen.
I pulled off the hatch, exposing two batteries. "Uh, a house, I guess? Mostly brick and wood. It had a patio, I think. Not that it even exists even more. Fuck the Federation."
"Yeah. Seems like both Leirn and Earth have some rebuilding to do."
With a click, I pulled one battery out, already grabbing its replacement. "That makes me wonder… What is the end game of this war? The Federation burns to the ground, then what? Wounds this deep leave terrible scars."
Luke tapped his screen. "Honestly, I have no idea. Humanity really opened Pandora's Box by achieving FTL, and then some."
I gave him an ear flick, popping out the secondary battery. I deposited the old ones into my pack and began to secure the hatch back on.
"It'll probably take generations." Luke said. "Or more likely, it never really goes away. With all the progress humanity has made, there are still the small, loud, hateful groups. On a galactic scale…" He shook his head.
"Better to burn it all down and start over." I reset the lock with a satisfying snap.
Luke frowned, standing up. "Were it so easy.”
I zipped up my pack and gave the radar base a reassuring pat before standing up myself. “Alright. One down, three to go.”
“Let’s see…” Luke tapped at his device. “Next one is about seventeen klicks south of here.”
“Barring any more door incidents, we should get back with time for a short break before heading off with the rest of them.”
“Now you’re just being facetious.” He walked over to the door and slid it open, holding it for me. “But it should be avoidable, now that I know you’re a locksmith.”
I flicked a single ear at him. “Just let the expert handle things from now on.”
The door slammed shut from behind me, and we began the trek back down the access stairs. Going down was much easier than going up. I saw Luke don his mask before as we stepped down the last few stairs. I gave my tail a derisive flick which I’m sure he saw.
We passed a couple Tilfish on the first floor. They acted as scared as when we first came into the building. I wasn’t sure if they could read tail signals, but I made sure to sign a special one, just for them. Luke, on the other paw, gave them a friendly wave. I stifled a snicker, knowing they were probably more offended by that than my tail signal. We headed out of the building and into the vehicle that we had parked. Luke started the car and leaned back as the automatic navigation kicked in.
“You can take that off, now.” I sighed.
As Luke revealed his face once again, I made sure to do an obvious eye roll. “Hey, I don’t wanna hear it,” he said.
“Didn’t say anything.”
“Whatever. You know why I wear it.”
“Yep, I sure do.”
“Whatever.” This time, it was Luke who rolled his eyes. He twisted the mask around in his hands, apparently contemplating something. “Maybe I should put a smiley face on it.”
I tilted my ears, recalling human emoticons from our messages before we met in person. “Like, a human smiley face? On your mask?”
“Two dots and a line. Then I’d be happy all the time.”
I snickered. “Alright, Sunshine.”
He cocked an eyebrow. “Sunshine?”
“Uh, in simple terms, it's a sarcastic nickname given to people who are too happy for their own good.”
He smiled. “Well there’s a cultural similarity. I’m guessing that has to do with the sun basking you Yotul do?”
“I mean, maybe. I’m no historian.”
He simply nodded, smile slowly fading. We watched the buildings pass by for a while, looking at the reflections cast by the puddles from last night’s storm which hadn’t gotten the chance to evaporate yet. Another storm was bound to come soon as was expected on this planet.
“Hey, I just thought of something.” Luke said.
“Wow, that’s amazing.”
He let out a short laugh. “Jesus, there’s no break with you today. I was going to ask why you aren’t afraid of our ‘predator’ eyes. I wondered about it back on the exchange station, but didn’t want to… y’know.”
“Scare me off? You worried for nothing, you know.”
“Yeah, I see that now. Uh, back to my question…”
“What’s there to be afraid of? It’s literally just how you see.”
“I know, but like, the Federation makes it seem like a biological reaction to be scared of binocular vision, but that seems… wrong?”
“Hm. I will admit, after being around Federation species for so long, your eyes were… a bit unnerving. But that was gone after day one, basically.”
"Do you think it's because you weren't born into it?"
I tilted my ears. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I don't think it would be a stretch to think that the Federation managed to indoctrinate species into a fear response, among all the other crap they've been exposed of."
Indoctrination. "What does that have to do with it? They're still thick-skulled bigots.”
He shifted in his seat. “It would have a lot to do with it. Being born into something is far different than getting exposed to it later in life. Children’s minds are more pliable.”
I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out. I had very nearly become what the Federation wanted me to be of my own accord, but they forced me into that life with threats of their “treatment”. The number of younger Yotul I had seen throughout the years, teaching them the basics of Federation weapons…
Letting them be sent off to an unwinnable war.
“How… How does that explain their actions? They still made the decisions.” I managed.
Luke raised his eyebrows, frowning. “That is a whole can of worms. At this point, I’m certain the Federation has no semblance of a reasonable ethics system for people to base their choices on. Are people inherently evil, or born into an evil system? I dunno, I’m not a philosopher.” He shrugged.
I huffed. Of course the aliens who colonized my home planet were evil. How could they tout about uniting all “prey” species, then proceed to treat us like dirt? No kind person could reasonably go along with their creed. Their ideologies and practices that were forced upon Leirn were unpopular; the Great Reclaiming was quick to erupt across our planet once the humans showed up to the galactic scene. If the Yotul could do it, what was stopping the other species? They had to have fully believed in their goals to willingly spread the Kolshians’ malice.
Even the revelation that the Federation tampered with more species than the Yotul was lost to me. They simply had to be evil to willingly go along with them. The way I was treated, the way my people were treated, was unforgivable. There was no possibility of justifying the way the Federation tore apart our culture. Whatever Luke meant by his statement was a moot point.
I eyed him. “Back at the station… Do you think those Tilfish deserved what happened?”
His face darkened. “What happened, shouldn’t have. It was a mistake with every choice that led up to it. I’m only lucky that none of our soldiers got too hurt.”
“Is that a no?” I swiveled my ears. “They fired first.”
“I know what happened, I very nearly had my damn eyebrows singed off!” He sighed and rubbed his fingers along his nose bridge. “Look, I get what you’re trying to say, but can you give me a break?”
With a flick of my ears, I secluded myself to looking back out the window.
“All we can do is look forward to tomorrow, and hope that it’s better.”
It will get better once the Federation is in ruins. “At least you’re able to be optimistic.”
He let out another sigh. “It’s getting harder every day, it seems. Can’t walk anywhere on this damn planet without parents hiding their children. At least I haven’t been jumped like a few unfortunate souls.”
My heart panged with guilt at my previous sarcastic comment. “Hey… At least you don’t have to look at their ‘creepy visage’ most of the time.”
He offered me a smile. “You know, the kids aren’t… totally freaky. They could almost pass for cute.”
“What did you say the first time? Something about imagining them crawling all over you?”
He pursed his lips. “Nope. Not ready for that.”
“Quite the predatory fear response.”
“Hey buddy, you just haven’t seen Alien.” Before I could make another remark, his eyes went wide. “Oh! You know what I just thought of!?”
I let my tail wag. “Wow, another thought!”
He ignored me. “The fear response! I know damn well that if I didn’t see that old-ass movie I wouldn’t be as scared of them as I am.”
“...Okay?”
“It’s a trained fear response. Undeniable proof.” He did his signature smirk at me.
“You should write a paper on your discovery. Do some research on the Tilfish while you’re here, get up close and personal.”
“Yeah, right,” he scoffed.
“I'm sure you'll warm up to them. Maybe in the next few weeks we'll get sent to an orphanage, or something."
"Yeah, there's never a shortage of tasks to be done in the military. Speaking of Tilfish, I heard some other towns are finally coming out of total shutdown."
"Dozens of raided exterminator offices and hundreds of dead Tilfish later.” I scoffed. “So they finally realize you're not here to eat them?"
He frowned. "Er… something like that.”
“So, is this going better than the Cradle so far?”
He leaned back in his seat. “Surprisingly enough, yes. Kinda funny that it’s about a one-to-one recreation of it. Arrive, there’s bodies on the streets, do some military stuff, and before you know it, they don’t totally hate us. Easy as pie.”
Some of them don’t totally hate you.”
“I mean, yeah. Some cities had to be totally flushed of the more violent exterminators… Which is likely for the best, to be truthful."
"It was best for Leirn, but these Feds aren't in any hurry to right their wrongs.” The Tilfish exterminators had annoyingly proven to be smarter and more persistent than I initially gave them credit for; the ones back at the station far north appeared to be an anomaly when confronted with more recent stories of traps they set up for unwitting humans.
"Uh, to quote some old dead dude, probably: everyone believes they're the good guys."
I eyed him. "I thought you said you weren't a philosopher?"
"Look, man, I'm just some guy on an alien planet, fighting in some alien war, talking to some alien. I've got a lot on my mind, alright?"
"You should write a book after this." I snickered.
He bobbed his head. "You know what? That's a great idea."
I felt my tail wag against the seat. Even despite the last few days, I could still find joy with my human. Every day I was thankful for them inciting the uprising on Leirn. How could I have ever lived without them? Without Luke?

2023.12.16 11:09 fat_neck_beard Need help in finding a beautiful Thai love song

Hi all,
While travelling in thailand recently, one of the people I met there showed me a thai song on youtube which I fell in love with instantly.
But now I can't remember the song or the youtube video (because they were in thai).
I would really love to be able to find that song again on youtube, such a beautiful (nostalgic?) song!
The song - It seemed to be a thai love song. Most likely from the 90s/00s era. I think the male singer had long hair - possibly old school rocker vibe. It had a ballad/mellow/rock feel to it. Abit sad/regretful kind of song I think.
What may be helpful for you to identify the song is, I remember watching the music video.
It's about 2 lovers going about their life, but then one day at home while watching TV in the living room or something, the woman secretly looks at the man's phone while he was away, and she probably saw text messages of an affair and felt betrayed. I think they then quarreled and she left him, or something like that. That's what I can remember most.
If you know what song it might possibly be, please let me know.
I'm desperate to find that song!
Edit: I found a voice - gentle and wavy style - that reminds me much of the singer's voice:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zBbmLJb2h8
It's not this singer though, and the times are more modern. (In the music video I saw, the 2 lovers were living/quarreling in a *modern apartment*.)

2023.12.13 23:46 SurrealJC THE FINALS IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS NOTES

THE FINALS IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS NOTES 12/13/23 -surrealjc

For starters I'm old and I might be slightly delayed or brain damaged but I think I am a good representation of the average gamer... I usually rank right around the average rank in every game. Since I'm average I can be confident that if I'm having trouble with something, others will also be feeling the same.
I really like complaining and I think my complaints are reasonable usually but can border on perfectionism or stupidity. Obviously a good number of these ideas are very minor and don't need to be addressed. I'm not tryin to be rude or overcritical I'm sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's feet about any of these issues because this is a beautiful game. These complaints come from a place of love hahaha, just like my daddy taught me (lmao).
I know I suck at pvp, my friends say I'm good but everyone online seems to be better than me. And I know you didn't ask but... here are all the notes I have on the game and I will even try to list them in order of importance within their category. I wrote many critisms that I later erased because they are skill issue, game knowledge/experience issue that only occured in the first 30 hours of play, non-impactful/unrealistic/unfixable. I put * stars next to the ones that are most important to me.
*AGAIN--- I'm really sorry for writing so much I feel bad. Thank you if you reviewed this I hope I helped!
Overall Its really awesome and I LOVE the 3v3 mode. 4v4 seemed overwhelming at first but its very intense and fun.

TECHNICAL BUGS
*sometimes barrier walls and windows are invisible and you can't move through them or break them and it takes a long time to fix it.
*you absolutely can not keep magenta and salmon as colours in a game (without better colourblind options). I see 3 pinkish colour players go one way and a 4th pinkish one kills me from behind? It seems like the salmon is a signature colour of the game so maybe change the magenta to a pastel green/yellow instead. (For the record, I'm not even colour blind at all and I still struggle with this.)
*sometimes heavy hammer swing doesn't do an animation but still breaks walls in front of you, it happens in heated confrontations an animation will fail leaving the player super confused. May occur with gunshot animations as well? frequently I go to shoot someone and my gun doesn't move at all, I'm not stunned i look and have full ammo, my hands and gun isn't moving to signify a ADS reload.
player is locked out from changing loadout in death until the last 8 seconds before respawn it would be nice to have more time to think about your reserve selection
emoting with a sniper rifle makes the rifle (or any equipped weapon?) draw off screen and disables the scope and crosshair (only in practice range)(seems there are a lot of pratice range bugs ATM)

MENUS
*I really want to be able to name my contestants (healeclose/snipeetc)
*Colorblind more options are showing common/rare/epic/legendary but what would be more important is to make it show the team colours so I can see how the team colours change or allow me to set my own team colours (pink and salmon look similar in intense situations it takes extra processing power from my brain rather than if it was purple green red blue, ive heard streamers complain about this aswell.)
*Put a different colour checkmark (green) for the items that are in my reserve loadout than whats in my main loadout. seems like a pointless complaint but why not just do it, its like one line of code -if its in itemslot 1-4 make it green- itll look better and make it easier to sort out your reserve selection
Add option for "default" sound source for gameplay and voice sound so I don't have to keep changing it?
*Show the team icon beside/in the background of the team name in the intros, I have to learn what the icons mean by looking at the teams in the corner and pressing tab. (be cooler)
*I don't understand why I can equip the 'diamonds diamonds' skin on the v95 but not on the r.357 in the equipment menu. Also I can't unequip the diamonds skin if I just wanted the default skin. (It would be nice to not have to pick the skin every time you create a loadout, contestant wide skin selection memory)
*the expressions menu system takes a minute to learn becauase youve listed the modifications in this order: emotes, sprayes, emoticons, sounds. But the emotes and emoticons share one wheel and the sprays and sounds share a wheel. Put them beside each other and add the words "equip to emote wheel" "equip to expression wheel" rather than all 4 of them just having the option that says "equip to wheel" which wheel?
let me click the character model L M H when creating a new contestant, why I gotta press these arrow buttons with the mouse lol. (laaazzyyyy boy)
I can't see what class people are playing when they are dead (in the tab screen in game) (lazzzyy boyyy didn't memorize the classes in the first 30 seconds boohoo)
I don't like that it asked me to fill out a survey review after only 3 hours of play with questions in game modes I hadn't even played yet, then when I tried to do it the next time it wasn't an option. Also when I was filling it out the first time I accidentally pressed esc and it all disappeared.

MAPS
All very pretty and well decorated.
There are some maps where your team is completely screwed if you don't have any mobility options, perhaps like having the explosive barrels around (which help teams without demolition get by) there could be some type of mobility barrel.
hmm, just a thought, you know how some buildings (irl) have maps on the wall with fire exits etc... I wonder if that could exist in this game, just a little picture of a map of the floor layout beside the stairwell/elevators
Jumppads occasionally throw you into the void? (was this in a finals round with reduced map borders?)
*On that note there could be more artifacts on the sides of buildings to save you. It will delay your map movement but not outright kill you. A misgrapple is severely punished and frustrates your whole team rather than appropriately punished by leaving you exposed and delayed.
The announcements in bankit were incredibly delayed today, like 20 seconds after depositing: "a member of your team is carrying a fat stack ohhhh bbooyyy they could lose it all"

MOVEMENT
I love how easy it is to interact with the environment (grab items, zipline, jump pad, open doors, etc)
movement is very good, I only occasionally fall out of windows or off cliffs by accident, and usually only as Light.
theres absolutely NO WAY a heavy would get stuck on a plastic table and chairs while running. that is a bit frustrating but I don't think there's a realistic way to fix it
occasionally terrain sucks you up, through walls and floors, (maybe when its collapsing in a certain way) or onto lamps

GAMEPLAY FEEL
-skills/abilities/weapons-
Many of these comments might be unfixable by programming and players will just have to rely on a higher experience based learning curve for those limitations.
This section is not in order of importance or any order at all.
Weapon damage is very satisfying and hit detection is usually decent and latency is also really nice. Only lagged once and crashed twice so far.
I love that there is no text chat because its very easy to complain when you lose and people like to report each other because gamer rage is real. but if you wanted to add a text chat system you can have a system like Elden ring which restricts what words you can use or the player has to pick words from a list (hmm, nah don't bother)
The ping system is amazing but still fails sometimes, it is a bit slippery and you can't customize which direction is for which pings.
Ammo numbers are small and in the corner, not everyone playing on a 24 inch monitor and has good peripheral vision. There are only accessability options for subtitle text size not actual game hud size scalers or anything. (not a huge problem, ill get used to looking there)
Why do heavy grenade launcher grenades bounce off players?
*turning speed is reduced with heavy tank shield specialization... good players with a good mouse are just going to turn their dpi up, seems like a newb punishment just keep the heavy turn speed sensitivity the same while shield is active.
I don't think the stun gun limits turn speed when maybe it should a bit? (same problem though, pros will just turn the dpi up for 5 seconds)
*the heavy charge is easily cancelled if you fall off a table or a rock or any vertical movement at all its not good, is it possible to make it only ever trigger if I'm pressing space, or my vertical velocity is above 20m/s
its unclear how to use some tools and abilities, like which follow up buttons can I press to do different things once I start activating the thing but I think that's some of the magic of discovering a new game. ...I gotta be honest I didn't find out you can underhand grenades until day 4.
I was having problems with the breach charge. Its hard to tell if it went off because its sound falls off so sharply when you run around a couple corners so you end up slamming it for like 5 seconds not knowing if it did anything.
*grapple hook doesn't clip to things when you wish it did and sometimes clips to things you wish it didn't (when looking near straight up) It could use a range marker too so you can see if you're going to land it on the wall you're aiming at. You have range markers on grenades and zipline so it fits the game style to have a laser aimer on grapple hook as well.
throwing barrels in low gravity mode is off because they go above where you are aiming, like trying to throw them into a window or roof hole takes experience.
throwing knives and grenades still fall just as fast in the low gravity
Chip damage sound level and screen shake is overdramatic when taking 10 damage several times from far away
The balance features on throwing shield bubble and multiple grenades makes it feel clunky and very delayed yet you can spam mines pretty quickly.
You press grenade, then you have to spam click for like 5 seconds until the game allows you to throw the grenade after pulling it out. You should be able to buffer the input of your click as soon as youre pulling the grenade out. Its very easy to try to throw a grenade then switch guns only do end up doing nothing.
I wonder if automatics hold up in high level play or if high damage low fire rate weapons will become the meta. Also trap the point meta, like 2 turrets 4 gas mines and a heavy shielder with goo... shotguns are a bit broken.
*Make enemy (or all) healing beams a colour other than blue (green would be pretty), its way too easy to see the blue graphic over an enemy and think its a blue player who needs help badly. (accessability issue (for us slow brains))
*zipline desperately needs a proximity ledge grab for when you place it on the top of a wall and it makes you lose all momentum at the top and fall to your death when the ledge is clearly grabbable, unlike a straight vertical zipline seems to allow you to jump at the end and get some air boost if you time it right. Even if I couldn't grab the ledge... the zipline base is a steel pole sticking out of the wall, let me grab that

2023.12.04 00:50 cddkkcgk SSF blessed me, what's next?

I was extremely blessed during SSF and got all my arcanes to 22* (from 17) in 35b. I am at a loss for what to do next.
What am I supposed to be working on now? My class does need 3l attack secondary but seeing the expected cost is quite dissuading. Would it make more sense to pray for 3l attack or do something else?

2023.11.27 13:22 ButterscotchSnailPie 19F I don’t know what to say yet somehow I wrote a lot, come be lonely with me or just ramble about random stuff?

Are you under 25 and awake when I am (gmt+3)? If yes, you may proceed. Otherwise, good luck on your journey to find company.
I want to talk about all kinds of stuff, the cute things my dog does and how annoying people can be and what music is making it impossible for me to stay still. I want to hear about your life, too; pet peeves and small things that make you happy and dreams and fears and what you had as a snack.
Some stuff about me and my interests:
I’m a bit shy but I really enjoy calling, I’d love to have a friendship where we text daily and call about once a week but talking more or less often is fine as well.
The longer your message, the better, you literally cannot write too much, I promise! What I don’t promise, however, is to answer people who barely write anything.
thanks for reading everything! if you can’t think of what to say, tell me a bit about yourself and give me a review on some of your favourite and least favourite emojis (and/or emoticons) (I also have an insanely long list of questions so just ask for some if you can’t think of any)
