This was a legend concept I had made a while back and I feel like now after working on it a bit, it is ready for some feedback. It was based around the Idea of titans being in Apex. Of course a titan would never come into the game as they are too big, but what if you had a Mini-Titan? This lead to me creating Titan, originally a vanguard class titan created by the Fronter Militia, who in the Morden day of Titanfall universe, has had his AI transferred into a heavily modified simulacrum body. Practically becoming a human sized Titan, and now he finds himself in the Apex Games.

~Passive – Directional Shield Generator~
After you land from a Skydive or from a long fall, automatically create a small temporary curved shield in the direction you were facing when you landed.
~Passive Notes:~
- The Shield only has 50 HP and only lasts 8 seconds, after which is deactivated.
- Only enemy players can damage it; however, you can press (H or Down on the D-pad) to immediately deactivate it.
- The Shield is just big enough to cover your full hit box and is very slightly curved, think of it being a VERY small and weaker Newcastle Tactile that can’t move.
- Once it’s destroyed or deactivated by any means, it goes on a 5 second cool down before you can spawn a new one. Also, you can only have 1 up at a time.
- CHARACTER ABILITY INTERACTIONS: Maggie’s tactical can attach to it. It is instantly destroyed by EMP.
~Tactical – Moded Laser Cannon~
Shot a precise laser projectile, from your shoulder mounted laser cannon, that can pierce through any surface. Enemies hit by the laser cannot use Shield Regen items for 10 seconds and will have any current one they are using cancelled.
~Tactical Notes:~
- Has a cooldown of 30 seconds and the cooldown starts when the laser is fired. It can be used while performing other actions like Ziplining and using Regen items.
- Holding Tactical button (Q or L1) down will prime your shoulder mounted cannon (Now being referred to as S.M.C.) and letting go of it will fire the S.M.C. (Just like ballistics tactical).
- It deals 20 damage and can head shot to deal 30. It can travel a set distance of 50 meters, and will travel through any surface (Including shields, and barriers of any kind), only stopping once it has travelled 50 meters or hit a player. A player hit by the laser can’t use shield regen items (Meaning Shield Cells, Batteries, and/or Phoenix kits) for 10 second and if they were using one when hit, it will be immediately cancelled.
- CHARACTER ABILITY INTERACTIONS: Things like Newcastle’s, Gibraltar’s, Ramparts, Caustic, Wattson, and legends like them that have tactically and/or Ultimates that can block projectiles, will not block the Laser Shot. Legend abilities that regen shields in any way, Like Wattson and catalyst, will still work as normal even if they are hit by the laser.
~Ultimate – Upgrade Core~
Temporarily gain enough EVO points to upgrade your Shield Core by 1 stage. Gain access to all your legend upgrades for your current and any previous shield core level. Also refresh your tactical ability and restore half of your Shield HP.
~Passive Notes:~
- Has a charge time of 3 minutes and a duration of 30 seconds, downing players will extent the duration of the Ultimate by 5 seconds (Maximum 15).
- Once you used your ultimate you will temporarily gain a free amount EVO point equal to the amount you currently need to Level up your Evo Shield. But once the Ultimate duration ends, you will lose EVO points equal to the amount you gain (Meaning your EVO Armor can devolve). However, you will keep any EVO points you gained additionally during the Ultimate from dealing damage, opening Assault loot bin, and the like. So, for example, if you used your ultimate and need 450 EVO points to level up your shield from 1 to 2, you would gain 450, Levelling up from level 1 to level 2. Then during your ultimate let’s say you gain 250 EVO points. At the end of your ultimate, you shields would revert to level 1, then immediately gain the EVO points gained during your Ult, meaning you would now only need 200 EVO to level up to level 2.
- During your ultimate, if you have Level 2 Evo Shields, you will gain BOTH of your first legend upgrades. If you have Level 3 or higher, you will gain all your Legend upgrades for the duration of the ultimate.

~Level 2 Upgrades – Dash Shield Generator OR Tactical + Kit:~
~Dash Shield Generator~
While you are sliding, create a small shield that is attached to you facing the direction you are sliding.
~Notes:~
Is the same size as Newcastle Revive Arm Shield, however it only has 25 HP. Only enemies can damage it, however you can click (H or down on the D-Pad, while you are sliding) to activate and/or deactivate it, this is on a 2 second cooldown. If it’s damage and is deactivated and/or you’re not sliding for more than 3 seconds, it will slowly start to regen HP until it’s fully restored, or you slide again. If it is destroyed it will not start regening for 10 seconds.
~Tactical +~
Reduce your tactiles cooldown by 5 seconds and increase the size of its projectile. Also, during your ultimate, reduce the cooldown by an additional 5 seconds.

~Level 3 Upgrades – Energy Detector OR Assault Core:~
~Energy Detector~
Highlight enemies that are using Shield Regen items within 20 meters of your through walls. During your ultimate increase this range to 40 meters.
~Notes:~
The highlight is like mad Maggie’s passive in how it looks, except it is blue. You will see anyone using Shield Cell/Batteries and Phoenix Kits.
~Assault Core~
Gain a faster reload of your weapons. Also, during you ultimate, also gain better weapon handling and movement speed while holding a weapon.

This would be on par with Ballistics ultimate in how much it increases each stat.

Helldivers 2 Releases Patch Notes for Latest Update
Arrowhead Games Studios releases update 1.000.304 for Helldivers 2, which makes a number of big fixes to ongoing bugs and game crashes. It's has been a rollercoaster ride for Helldivers 2 since it launched back in February. The online co-op shooter experienced unprecedented sales, which, in turn, caused the game's servers to break down, preventing players from logging in or causing errors during gameplay. Thankfully, Arrowhead managed to stabilize the game and since then, it has continued to grow, becoming Sony's fastest selling PlayStation game ever.
However, even with its continued popularity, Helldivers 2 hit another bump in the road due to a PSN Account controversy, where Sony intended to implement a system that required PC players to make and link to a PlayStation Network account. The news was not received well by players, who systematically review bombed the title on Steam, ultimately forcing Sony to back down, though Helldivers 2 was delisted in well over 150 countries with no resolution in sight. Still, Arrowhead continues updating the game, first with a new Warbond and now with a brand-new update.
The latest update for Helldivers 2 focuses on the remaining game crashes players have been running into recently. Game crashes have been a common problem for Helldivers 2 since the game launched, including a strange one caused by players throwing too many snowballs while in a game. In this case, the trio of fixes address crashes that can happen when players load in to their ship, examine their loadout, or could be triggered right after the host left the room after a player had joined. It's unknown how rare these moments were, but either way, players no longer need to worry about them.
In addition to game crashes, this update addressed a handful of bugs as well. In terms of gameplay, the Airburst proximity explosion has been adjusted so that it is only triggered by enemies and other Helldivers in the vicinity. The AR-61 Tenderizer had a bug which gave it the wrong color scheme in some instances, which has since been fixed within this patch. Considering all of the recent Helldivers 2 controversy, this update has added an optional setting for players who do want to link their PSN Accounts found within the in-game settings.
For better or worse, Arrowhead has made plenty of balance updates with many of these patches, something which has left most in the community divided on. While some appreciate Arrowhead attempting to keep the game fair, others have questioned the need for so many balance updates when the game is strictly a cooperative experience. In fact, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt responded to a player saying the game has become unfun due to the constant changes, agreeing that the studio has gone a bit too far in some areas and in some cases, removing fun elements the community has discovered organically.
Helldivers 2 Update 1.00.304 Patch Notes
Crashes
Fixed a crash triggered when the host left after a player hot joined. Fixed an occasional crash in the Loadout menu. Fix for a rare crash when transitioning to or from the ship.
Misc Fixes
Fixed players getting stuck on the mission summary screen when the host leaves. Fixed the issue of non-purchased Super Credits not being visible in the Warbond Overview screen (only relevant for Japanese release). Optional account linking now available in the Account section of the in-game settings. Fixed 'Steam AppId supplied invalid or not allowed' being shown due to a different error. Fix attachments on weapons showing up as purple question marks in the tutorial in some cases. Airburst proximity explosion is now triggered only by enemies & Helldivers. The AR-61 Tenderizer now has the correct color scheme.
Known Issues
These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed.
Players may not have the option to send, accept or decline friend requests. Players may not have the option to Block other players. Blocked players are not added to the Blocked Player list or prevented from joining games. Game may crash if the player changes the text language while on a mission. Players may experience delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts. Players may occasionally receive excessive XP. Enemies that bleed out do not progress Personal Orders and Eradicate missions. Arc weapons sometimes behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire. Most weapons shoot below the crosshair when aiming down the sights. AR-61 Tenderizer deals too little damage and is not in the final state we are intending. Spear’s targeting is inconsistent, making it hard to lock-on to larger enemies. Stratagem beam might attach itself to an enemy but it will deploy to its original location. Helldiver may be unable to stand up from crouching when surrounded by enemies. "Hand Carts" Ship module does not reduce Shield Generator Pack's cooldown. Some players might become stuck in the Loadout when joining a game in progress. Reinforcement may not be available for some players who join a game in progress. Planet liberation reaches 100% at the end of every Defend mission.

This is probably the most ambitious project I've done, but I'm on day 62 as of writing this, and it's been a blast! Here are my notes for every day in this: Day 1 (inf-20100607) Did nothing more than make myself a house and get food. Wood seemed scarce, so I mined coal during the night.
Day 2 (inf-20100608) Lit up the area, and made myself a cloth cap and shirt. The first sapling grew today, so I chopped it down and replanted.
Day 1 (again) (inf-20100611) Minecraft decided that my world didn't exist so I had to restart. Not too hard, though. I had to quickly build myself a wooden house (good thing there were so many trees!) and hide in there for the night. I didn't have coal, so no torches, and no torches means no light, and no light means PITCH BLACK nights. I was genuinely scared by this. Also, the skeletons and zombies made player noises. Weird.
Day 2 (again) (inf-20100615) Finished the wood shack and installed windows (not the OS, mind you). Then I added a tube to the back of the mineshaft to get to my house easier, and I also went mining. Found coal, but didn't have enough time to mine it due to it being update time.
Day 3 (inf-20100616-1) Decided to make a giant cobblestone nerd-pole so that I wouldn't get lost when exploring. Speaking of exploring, I did just that... for a little bit. That was very short-lived. I ended up mining for a while, and found the void-lava.
Day 4 (inf-20100617-1) Today was so far the most successful mining trip. I nerded out about the old trees having logs on the inside and the new trees not having that and those two kinds of trees being right next to each other. That's a run on sentence isn't it? Then I went into the mines and found more iron than I can count. Like I said, successful.
Day 5 (inf-20100617-2) Mining trip was good. Got more iron and found some void gold (a gold vein that exposed the void). It was cool.
Day 6 (inf-20100618, Seecret Friday 1) I screwed around with minecarts.
Day 7 (inf-20100624) Decided to light up the area around spawn, but not in spawn. Decided to fight baddies for the heck of it that night. Also made the house look more appealing.
Day 8 (inf-20100625-1) Everything that I placed and did in the last day got reversed to how they were on Day 6, except for my inventory. I spent the day fixing everything. In the night, I went mining and found more iron. No diamonds D:
Day 9 (inf-20100625-2, Seecret Friday 2) Today they added dungeons and some other stuff but it's not very important to me right now. Went mining for the day.
Day 10 (inf-20100627) Nothing interesting was added today so I went exploring to find water. I also made a glass room in my mine to tell the time.
Day 11 (inf-20100630-1) Infdev 20100629 didn't wanna work. So here we are, at 20100630-1. Stairs were added in the last version, so I added stairs to my mine. The stairs sure are finnicky, though! I also filled a creeper blast with water (that is surprisingly calming...)
Day 12 (inf-20100630-2) The last Infdev day. Tomorrow it will be Alpha! To prepare for the long journey of Alpha releases I built a new addition to the house. Finally, I made a sign and a shrine for Infdev. Farewell!
Day 13 (a1.0.1_01) Last version was Seecret Friday, but the file is lost and I have to play this version. But there are so many changes!! Excited! Didn't find redstone in the mines, though. I also finished the new room and organized the chests.
Day 14 (a1.0.2_01) Went exploring for some coal and cooked all my pork chops.
Day 15 (a1.0.2_02) Can't remember much other than that I went mining. That's it I guess?
Day 16 (a1.0.3) Went exploring for some coal but found a cool cave and also found lots of coal and iron
Day 17 (a1.0.4, Seecret Friday 4) Same as Day 16.
Day 18 (a1.0.5) Went back home and decided to go strip-mining because caving didn't go very well. Not much happened.
Day 19 (a1.0.5_01) There is a new project now; I am carving my face on a mountain. Gonna need a lot of stone though. And gravel. Lots and lots of gravel.
Day 20 (a1.0.6, Seecret Friday 5) Cactuses were added. Neat I guess. Also Boats. But that doesn't apply to what I did today because what I did today was work on my face. I went to get gravel. There was a lot of gravel.
Day 21 (a1.0.6_01) Marked the gravel spot, got distracted, and now I'm lost. at least I found a cactus!
Day 22 (a1.0.6_03) Using the power of looking back at the footage, I was able to return home! With the cactus! Yippee!
Day 23 (a1.0.7) Continued work on the face: I did it! Now I am making the body. Might need more gravel...
Day 24 (a1.0.8_01) i died.
Day 25 (a1.0.9) I continued working on my statue of me and got some more gravel. Had 1 block left after finishing!
Day 26 (a1.0.10) Went strip mining, found no diamonds.
Day 27 (a1.0.11, Seecret Friday 6) This update, lots of cool stuff was added but nothing that I can use. Went strip mining and found zero diamonds.
Day 28 (a1.0.12) The splash was "missingno" for some reason. Anyways, continued working on a giant tower. Ladders suck
Day 29 (a1.0.13) Finished the tower. Ladders STILL suck...
Day 30 (a1.0.13_01) Got bored of building so I went in one direction to find some sugarcane. Found some and am going back
Day 31 (a1.0.13_01 1Kin24h edition) The title screen was changed to say 1K in 24h because Minecraft sold 1,000 units in 24 hours! That might not seem like a lot but at the time that was big news. ANYWAYS, got back home and planted sugarcane, and also made a bookshelf. Also, bricks!
Day 32 (a1.0.14-1, Seecret Friday 7) Chickens and chest minecarts and furnace minecarts are added and I WANT A RAIL SYSTEM so I decided that my face could be a cart station. also iron doors suck
Day 33 (a1.0.14-2) What did I do... Oh yeah i put a tower compass thing.
Day 34 (a1.0.15) Played Minecraft, Watched Hermitcraft, Got Gravel.
Day 35 (a1.0.16) Mined some dirt
Day 36 (a1.0.16_01) placed the dirt replacing the sand, also paths.
Day 37 (a1.0.16_02) paths. PATHS!!!!!!1!
Day 38 (a1.0.17_02) Fences were added in alpha 1.0.17 but that version and a1.0.7_01 are lost so this is the one I have to play. Anyways, I got some wood for a farm project. How is that related? You'll see...
Day 39 (a1.0.17_03) See, fences placed underneath farmland makes the farmland UNTRAMPLEABLE. That's nice.
Day 40 (a1.0.17_04) Last a1.0.1x version! Grinding for wood sux.
Day 41 (a1.1.0-1, Seecret Friday 9) Compasses! I WANT A COMPASS. So I don't get lost ;) but i don't have redstone so i went mining for some. NO LUCK as always...
Day 42 (a1.1.0-2) Mining. No. Redstone. Or. Diamonds.
Day 43 (a1.1.1, Seecret Saturday) SNEAKIN' ROUND THE BLOCK, WOOHOO! Spent this legendary version just mining and found BEDROCK. I'll tell you that that wasn't there before. Still no redstone OR diamonds. FOUND A CAVE, THOUGH.
Day 44 (a1.1.2) idk what I did, I cooked pork I guess
Day 45 (a1.1.2_01) I mined out a bit of my face and gave a tour of the world to Pap. Last version with neon foliage.
Day 46 (a1.2.0, Halloween Update) Because this version added the Nether, I desperately tried to get diamonds so I could make a nether portal. Alas, no luck on that front.
Day 47 (a1.2.0_01) Continued mining until my pickaxes broke. After that, I hollowed out some more of my face. That's it?
Day 48 (a1.2.0_02) I tried making a rail way to the resource gathering area, but turns out that furnace minecarts are extremely finnicky. That project will have to wait until Beta 1.5...
Day 49 (a1.2.1_01) Turns out that Alpha 1.2.1 is the only lost Alpha 1.2 version. Go figure. Anyways, I started working on Mama's Mother's Day gift thing, and got ambushed by like a million mobs during the night. This is what I signed up for when switching to Hard mode, what did I expect?
Day 50 (a1.2.2-1) The ability to easily switch between texture packs was added in this version, replacing the ever-defunct "Play tutorial level" button. Also, nether portals with F4. I'm definitely going to use that once I figure out how it works. Update: figured out how the portals work, they seem to be random. I tried it in a test world then in my actual world and it worked! It was really cool in the Nether, but I just so happen to be underground. Ugh.
Day 51 (a1.2.2-2) Spent the day continuing working on the Mother's Day gift. I didn't die this time!
Day 52 (a1.2.3) Coordinates were added to the F3 menu, which is pretty nice. Now I CAN'T get lost! Anyways, I finished the Mother's Day gift and then died due to skelley boi. Man I need to mine... That will be a project for tomorrow.
Day 53 (a1.2.3_01-1) I didn't mine. Instead, I focused on ranged attacks and getting food and leather for armor.
Day 54 (a1.2.3_01-2) I continued to get resources from animals and ended up with a lot of pork chops and a leather shirt.
Day 55 (a1.2.3_02) Started a new mine so that I can get iron and diamonds faster. I found iron actually now!
Day 56 (a1.2.3_04) Turns out a1.2.3_03 doesn't exist. Weird, huh? Anyway, I finished digging down to y11 and am installing stairs.
Day 57 (a1.2.4, a1.2.3_05 in-game) Continued mining out my brand-new definitely not abandoned mineshaft. Got some of the unused rails and put them to good use!
Day 58 (a1.2.4_01) Went a little overtime huh? Well today was kinda uneventful, i mined, mined some more, and mined EVEN MORE. STILL no diamonds. I'm kinda losing hope...
Day 59 (a1.2.5) Only 1 alpha version left! Wow, time really did fly fast, huh? Anyway, I went and made a new room below the furnace room for storage, so that when I am in the beta versions I won't run out of storage. I also need wood.
Day 60 (a1.2.6) It's the LAST version of Alpha, and you know what I'm gonna do? Make an alpha shrine of course! I did the same for Infdev on day 12 if you remember. So yeah, that's what I'll do today. Update: I got killed by a zombie at the last second it COULD have. That sux
Day 61 (b1.0) Immediately, the Alpha shrine got blown up by a creeper instantly. And I died twice. It gets better, though. I continued working on the storage area and got things sorted out. However, there appears to be an inventory bug and that made my life waay harder. Still though, pretty productive day!
Day 62 (b1.0_01) The stupid chest bug was fixed! Yaay!

Before I start this, I just want to answer some question I know I’ll probably have to answer later, or share some information that might be important.
  1. I have gone no contact with him. (He tries to bait me into talking to him.) Only my friend group knows about the alcohol.
  2. I know for a fact he drinks, I was with him once when he did it.
  3. It’s not his parent’s fault, he sneaks it from open vodka bottles in their refrigerator.
  4. I know he is drinking while underage, I plan to report him to the school counselor if he doesn’t seek help.
  5. We’re both gay, though I do not like him like that in any way shape or form. He swears up and down he doesn’t like me like that either, but take that how you will.
  6. He has allegedly been drinking since he was 7. I can neither confirm nor deny this.
  7. He blames all of his problems on the alcohol.
I, 16m, was friends with another boy, 15m, for roughly 4 years. We used to call each other every day to play games. Every single day for 4 years. Everything was fine until I started hanging out with our other (mutual) friends.
After I started hanging out with other people, he began to get very jealous and bitter towards me and the friend I was talking to. He would act annoyed and upset whenever I would do things with my other friends, even though it’s the same things I would do with him. This is when the arguing began. He would make snarky comments toward me indirectly through his bio on either a game we play together or the app we use to text and call. He would always deny that it is about me, even if it was blatantly obvious. (For example, I used to give myself nicknames on the game we play together. He combined the starting letter of the 3 I've used and said something along the lines of “ABC gave me everything but real love.”)
We would argue like this and he would come to school like nothing happened and act friendly towards me, even if it was obvious that I didn’t want to act friendly with him. He would also frequently block me for absolutely no reason, and unblock me after a few hours. If I asked for a reason, he would get mad and change the subject. Of course, I got tired of this and blocked him back one day. To nobody’s surprise, the next day at school he was talking to me and making jokes like absolutely nothing happened.
One day, he even decided it would be a great idea to ignore me while I was sitting right next to him. I would talk to him, wave my hand in front of him to get his attention, and even tap his shoulder. No response. I obviously got fed up with him and let my friends know in a group chat that he isn’t in what was going on incase they were curious why either of us were annoyed. (This wasn't the best idea, I know, however he gets mad when I hang out or talk to them differently than I do with him so the most logical thing to do was to not let him know when I hang out or text with them.)
Before this next part, I have to go back a little bit. Because we would play games together, we would log into each other’s account to farm or grind for something the other wants. This lead to him knowing my password and email. Since he saw me typing on my phone, he saw the group chat that doesn’t have him in it. He took that as a sign that I was talking shit about him to our friends (I truly was not.) and decided to try and hack my account. Luckily, I’ve always used a secondary email on the games we play, so he only got my old account.
Not knowing that this happened, I forgave him for everything that he did prior. A few days later, at the end of school before I left, we were talking when he said the name of my secondary account. Of course, I asked how he knew about it, and he said he logged in. I obviously got very angry at him for this, as I had not given him permission whatsoever. I told him I would have showed him my messages had he just simply asked. This caused him to get angry at me for being angry at him. (He also got angry at me when he got the notifications that he had been removed from my email. I also changed my passwords, have no fear.)
After discussing this with our mutual friends, they confirmed that what he did was not okay. Because I was getting more distant from him, he thought that he should buddy up to someone else in our friend group. (He barely speaks to anyone else if he doesn’t have to.) Of course, he chose the one person that he supposedly hates based on past events. (Not my story to share, I apologize.)
(I don’t remember this part all too well so take it with a grain of salt.) After a while, I decided to give him another chance. We had a conversation where I brought up all of the issues I had with him in a few paragraphs. (Mainly stuff about boundaries and respecting me. Also for pulling my hair whenever he got the chance even though I told him multiple times on multiple occasions to stop.) His response was changing the subject to something different, and about me. I promptly him shut down, however, as he was bringing up stuff that I didn’t do, insisting that he at least acknowledges his problems instead of pretending everything is fine. This ultimately lead to him getting angry and ending the conversation with his signature “Okay. Bye.”
He then went back to pretending everything was normal with me, though he was talking shit about me in a group chat with our mutual online friends and one of our real life friends (The one he hated that I mentioned previously.) She would tell me everything he said about me, but she didn’t want to get involved so I couldn’t call him out for any of it. At this point, I was just tired of fighting, so I went with it. Many more minor arguments happened after this. I won’t include details for the sake of this post not being too unbearably long, since what happened was basically the previous fight over and over.
A while later, one of our friends called him out for his shit, as I had been letting them know what was going on for every argument we had. He got really heated over this, and told her to kill herself and that he never valued her as a friend. She gave no shits at all. He was promptly removed, or left on his own, from all of the group chats with her in them except our main server. They had each other blocked, though to nobody’s surprise that didn’t stop him from talking about her or to her in the server.
Though 2 out of 5 people in our friend group wanted nothing to do with him, that didn’t stop him from sitting with us and trying to joke around with us like nothing happened. For a while, everything was fine. I wasn’t talking to him, he wasn’t talking to me. Another fight happened between him and the friend he hated before, but that isn’t my story to tell either, sorry. The only thing I can say about the fight is that he mentioned his alcohol addiction.
One thing lead to another and I decided to give him one last chance. Again. So, I had another conversation with him, letting him know that im serious about unfriending him if he doesn’t talk to his therapist about the alcohol, jealousy, and obsession with me.
I gave him until the end of the week to talk to his therapist, or I’m gone. Everything was fine until the weekend. I went on a trip to Dollywood on the weekend, 4 of my friends being there. He of course did not come on the trip, as he isn’t in the school club that took us. I asked him on Sunday if he had talked to his therapist about anything yet, and he had said no. I rightfully blocked him, just as I said I would. He proceeded to play the victim and started asking our friends what he did wrong, pretending that I hadn’t told him anything about blocking him.
I unblocked him momentarily to send a message on why I did it. I told him blatantly that if he didn’t talk to his therapist I would block him, and he did not. I may have been a little harsh with my words, but keep in mind that I have given him many chances to grow and learn from his mistakes that he has not taken. He needs help, and I can’t help him. I wished him the best, but told him that the best is not something I am capable of giving him.
After I blocked him again, he edited one of his messages to “call me out” for not doing what he wanted. He claims that I should’ve just listened to his issues and tell him everything was fine instead of letting him know that what he’s doing is wrong. He doesn’t want help, he wants someone to ignore his problems. I told him that im not that person and im tired of pretending I am. He proceeded to make his bio things along the lines of “You never actually loved me” once more.
After his numerous attempts at getting me to talk to him by making his bio about me, I got fed up. I confronted him, letting him know that I don’t want to be friends with him, I don’t want anything to do with him, and that he needs to stop talking about me in his bio. He of course pretended his issues didn’t exist, instead telling me that he would get help for real this time. I let him know that he just admitted to not trying to get help the first time, and that in lying to me, he broke my trust in him.
Because I knew he wouldn’t try to get help, I blocked him after saying goodbye once more. This is when he started openly shit talking me and the friend that called him out one single time. He changed his bio to things about my body he knew I was insecure about, such as my forehead. While I admit that this wasn’t the best thing to do, I gave him a taste of his own medicine. He’s a bigger individual, and he’s told me that he’s insecure about his weight.
Again, I apologize for what I said to him, I was angry when I said it. He said I have a sixhead, so I retaliated with seventeen stomach and that he can’t be talking about me when he looks 5 years pregnant. I mean no hate to pregnant people, I was angry at him when I said it. I do not condone rudeness towards plus sized or pregnant individuals. Back to the story.
He made a post on a platform we all use about how he hates Taylor Swift fans, especially the blonde ones. (Ironic when he was talking about how he liked her a while ago. Also, the friend that called him out is blonde and a big Taylor Swift fan.) So, in retaliation, our other, OTHER friend commented the username to his twitter account where he actively reposts nsfw images of gay furries, often depicted as children. I was the only person that knew about it, since he reposted such images and showed them to me in class, to my discomfort. I am usually not one to air out dirty laundry like that, however he had done something similar to me a while back, and I honestly didn’t care how it would make him feel.
I took another page out of his book and edited my message since we had each other blocked, telling him to stop shit talking me in his bio, and that I wanted nothing to do with him. Since that happened, he hasn’t made his bio anything about me, instead changing it to some joke about being 5 years pregnant.
Nobody has told me that what I’ve done was wrong, I just would like to make sure that I’m not in the wrong here. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

After the recent YouTube anti-ad block measure, three videos until you disable ad blockers, I switched off the extension (I use Microsoft edge and chrome) for the site. After a while I reenabled adblocker because I got frustrated when i got the same ads over and over again, sometimes being longer than the video itself. As y'all know, it basically speeds up the ad and the auto clicks the 'skip ad' button. I recently changed wifi companies, so i thought that slowing down was a consequence of that, but i noticed it was ONLY YOUTUBE slowing down immensely. When i clicked on something it'd take (not even exaggerating) 30 seconds for the site to respond. If i typed something, while working perfectly on the web browser, it'd take up to a minute to update what i wrote on youtube. After testing and testing, i remembered that lots of people were complaining about youtube being evil and doing bad things on purpose bc of adblockers, so i tried turning the adblocker off.
INSTANTLY, youtube became significantly faster. None of the issues mentioned above kept happening. As soon as i turn the adblocker on again, the page reloads by itself and we're back to having the equivalent of having 900ms ping in a videogame.
Im not a revolutionary or anything, but listen y'all: youtube has billions of users worldwide. A few weeks ago, people got sony to drop an update for a game just by boycotting the platform. We could do that so easily. The revenue they make bc of us watching is immense, if we stopped using youtube for a week, they'd definitely do what we want.
This is not right, a few years ago we'd get one skippable ad and that'd be it, now you get over 3 skippable ads in a row, not to mention the minute long unskippable ads. This has to change. Since youtube has no competitors, the only thing we can do is boycott them.

What’s the most important piece of information in a football game for the graphic to show? The score, right? Several times this year the scoreboard has failed to update when myself or the opponent scored a goal. One time I genuinely couldn’t remember if I scored or not and the scoreboard showed 1-0 to the opposition for about 30 in-game minutes, then all of a sudden it was going to extra time after a 1-1 draw.
Another one is if you make a substitute sometimes the graphic for the sub stays up until the end of the game blocking the scoreboard and teams. A big graphic too that almost blocks parts of the pitch on the far side.
Then there are plenty of small other menu glitches like the images in the card on FUT going haywire and upside down.
Lingering menu glitch of some sort have been a problem in FIFA for years but they’ve never fixed them. Then there are all the complaints about disconnections and they refuse to punish people who quit after a red card on a draw.
At a time where EA is making record-breaking money, it’s so shoddy to have these errors in the game.
It reminds me of Old Trafford and the Glazers how they’re spending £100m on overpaid transfers but can’t fix a leaking roof. With all the money they have, these are amateur mistakes you’d think they’d be embarrassed by.

2024.05.14 14:28 SenHaKen How to easily get a Roc and avian saddle

This is the strategy I used recently to get my first Roc very early on in the game - before even making my full diamond armor set. It's quite easy to do and overall I think it takes less time and is safer for any gear you have than the "intended" way, that being hunting and killing or soulgazer-ing multiple Rocs and then hunting for trolls for materials for the saddle.
Part 1: Needed materials (minimum, you can add other stuff for utility or whatever)
Part 2: Strategy
  1. First you obviously want to get everything mentioned above. Everything can be found easily in many structures around the world, both safe and unsafe (villager "mansions" with basements, battle towers, etc.)
  2. Next, you want to have waystones at specific locations
    • In a snowy biome, close to ice villages (the common small ones), best to have a few of these
    • In a regular plains or forest area with a nearby rivelake/sea
  3. Once you've found those, the next step is to make a small base in the plans/forest area. Obviously, make sure it's not near a dragon and also not near a village (unless you don't care about keeping villagers alive in that village). You'll be spending quite a bit of time here now
  4. Before your first night, get at least 5 Silex meat from the nearby body of water. If near an ocean, Ika and Crab meat works too. Cook the meat and make your first avian treats
  5. Once night falls, wait for a Roc variant to spawn (Scarlet or Golden) -> variants give double knowledge when using Soulgazer (or avian treats if still at knowledge level 1), giving +200 instead of +100 and therefore requiring only 5 interactions with the Soulgazer. Place your boat near your base, then lure the Roc to it by holding your avian treats. Once it's in the boat, use your name tag on it so it doesn't despawn, then use your Soulgazer and go to sleep.
  6. From now until you make the Roc your pet:
    • Keep it daytime the whole time (sleep as soon as you can)
    • Use your Soulgazer on the Roc when you can
    • Keep farming Silexes/Ikas/Crabs for their meat and making avian treats
    • While waiting for new ones to spawn, start digging dirt. Once you have about a stack or 2, just start building a pillar and then digging down. This will give you some random stuff occasionally due to Treasure Hunting skill. The chance of getting any drop at all is 5% per level of the skill, and out of those 5% approximately 0.016% is the chance for a Troll Tusk (this is 0.016% per each block, which equates to about a 1% chance in any 64 dirt blocks broken), which is the main thing we're after here. This might sound like a very low chance, but considering how many dirt blocks you'll end up breaking the chance is actually quite high. At level 2 Treasure Hunting, I gotten both of my Troll Tusks (one for avian saddle, other one for dragon saddle) within 20 minutes of placing and breaking dirt. On top of this, you can get some other stuff as well, including enchanted stone tools (usually with quite good enchants), enchanted diamond sword, dragon bones and even a pig spawner!
  7. Once you have level 2 knowledge of the Roc, you can start taming it with your treats. On average, you'll get 50-100 taming points per treat, and you'll need 1000 total for the Roc to be tamed. This means that most of the time 20-30 treats should be more than enough. After the Roc is tamed, make sure to use the Soulstone on it so it can respawn when it dies!!!
  8. If you still haven't gotten a Troll Tusk, keep digging for it. If you have, move on to the next step.
  9. Now take all your river fish and any dragon bones you're fine with trading and go to the ice villages (wool armor highly recommended). Find a Fisherman (they usually have a spear in their hands) that's buying the river fish at a 1:1 ratio and sell your fish for Sapphires. You can do the same with your Dragon Bones at a Shaman.
  10. Next, find a Craftsman and level him up fully (usually 1-2 trades are enough for him to level up once, I just went with the cheapest one and spent maybe 5-10 Sapphires to level him up fully). His final trade will ALWAYS be Ice Troll Leather. You should have enough Sapphires left over to buy 3 pieces of leather, but if not just get more by finding and trading more river fish and Dragon Bones. Shamans will also buy Blaze Powder, so that's another alternative for getting Sapphires.
  11. Only the last material left for the saddle now: 2x Amphitere or Stymphalian Bird feathers. Unfortunately, hunting and killing them is damn near impossible in early game (as most RLCraft players know). Fortunately, however, you don't have to do that. You can get both of the feathers in those small floating structures high up in the air (kinda like small "cubes" with a single chest in the middle). Just pillar up to them with your easily-breakable blocks, optionally take a few lockpicks with you in case the chest is locked (or do what I did and look for a different one, they're very common) and see if you got lucky. From my experience, at least half of the chests will have the feathers in them and there will always be at least 2 feathers if they are in there. Added bonus is that you can often find Potions of Wings in the chests too (seems to also be at least half the time), which give you free flight for 3 minutes and can make finding more of these structures a lot easier and faster if you get unlucky with the first one.
And there you have it, you now have all of the stuff you need to craft the avian saddle and a Roc to use it on! A quite simple strategy that requires about as much effort as hunting for trolls for the materials would, but a lot safer and requiring very minimal gear. Plus added bonus from all the additional stuff you get thanks to Treasure Hunting.

I don't want to stir up the controversy yet again (so feel free to skip this post if you're tired of hearing about it), but I suspect that CPUWIZ posted his message in both places because some of the people who've been blocked from this thread continue to follow it—for example, there's nothing preventing them from logging out and viewing it in guest mode—and that this was simply a way of ensuring that they all saw it. I don't think the message was meant for most of you here.
I don't know how many times we've all gone out of our way to say that rational concerns and criticisms are welcomed and encouraged, so it is regrettable that it became necessary to block anyone at all. The concerns that they initially raised were also raised about other console projects in the past—and by some of the same people—and they ultimately proved to be right in the case of the RetroVGS/Chameleon in particular. The problem is not that these concerns were raised at all, but that even after they were satisfactorily addressed (in many instances by Tommy himself), those people would not let them go, and they ultimately escalated into baseless accusations and borderline paranoia. That kind of behavior, no matter by whom practiced, cannot be allowed to run rampant.
However, I for one am determined not to allow all that drama to detract from the discussion here. We'll all do our best to keep it positive and constructive.
Page 254, January 30, 2020: Jay reminds everyone what he's best at. Is it moderating a community discussion? NO! It's daydreaming about a forgotten video game from forty years ago.
When I play classic Night Stalker, I usually play it on the Aquarius also. The original Intellivision version is great, of course, but I've always found it a bit sluggish even on the fastest setting. The Aquarius version feels just right to me, and I'm pleased to see that the Amico version seems to be paced similarly. The Aquarius version also solved the problem of not being able to move and shoot at the same time (because the Aquarius hand controllers generate different Gray codes with fewer conflicting values). The fire buttons do take some getting used to, but with practice, you can actually use both controllers simultaneously, moving with one hand and firing with the other.
I'm amazed at what I've seen so far of the Amico version of Night Stalker, and I especially love the multiplayer mode! I'm looking forward to trying it!
(needless to say, the Amico version of Night Stalker was never seen again, and is very likely not going to happen)

I suspect there are very few people alive who know what the Intellivision Entertainment Computer System is, and even fewer that care, but one of them was certainly Jaybird The Terrible Moderator (Retired).

2024.05.14 13:46 Neithan3 Some QoL feature suggestions and bugfix requests

I have made a list of things that I think need to be improved, changed or fixed based on my in-game experience. Please note that these are just my *opinions* and feel free to explain why (if) you disagree in the comments or share your own suggestions. Some of them may be already present in the game. Sorry if I missed. Try not to downvote to hell just because you don't like a single article :D

Suggestions:

  1. Click-and-drag scrolling for easier navigation through the game menus.
  2. Photo mode that allows players to hide the HUD, perfect for capturing those heroic moments.
  3. Simpler notifications: Relocate objective and mission completion notifications to the top of the screen and minimize them to reduce screen clutter. It is hard to aim for weak spots when you are playing at high difficulty and have a big wall of text in the middle of your screen.
  4. Help: Add a “Help” voice command to the Q radial menu wheel. + more&new commands?
  5. Crosshair: Option to hide the aiming reticle/crosshair because it simply doesn’t help at all when you have another round crosshair in the middle that shows where your shots actually go. It also blocks the view for long range aiming.
  6. Hiding nameplates / Streamer mode: Option to toggle player names.
  7. Equipment preview: Armor and helmets should be shown as sets when you hover your mouse over them or choose them instead of the default diver armohelmet. OR previewing a helmet shouldn’t change the player's armor to the default and show the current set that the player has equipped and vice versa for previewing armor.
  8. SOS Beacon don't show up on the stratagem menu when your team doesn't have 4 players or after a player leaves the mission.
  9. Versatile Jump Packs: Allow the use of primary or secondary weapons with jump packs. Also, a superhero landing pose if you hold down B while landing airborne with the jump pack.
  10. Increased jump distance or jump height for jump packs slightly.
  11. Super Punisher: Add a flashlight to the Punisher shotgun and some other primary/support weapons that do not have them, so divers can shed light on the darkest enemies of our way of life.
  12. Standardize weapon ergonomics: Some primary weapons handle like autocannon while some handle like a pocket gun.
  13. Delay on EAT: Sometimes EAT do not fire after you equip and aim it. I try to fire a few times and nothing happens.
  14. Arc Thrower & Blitzer: Lightning arcs should damage Terminid eggs. Don't make their arcs jump between the eggs if you think it would be OP, but being able to kill a charger with an arc thrower and yet failing to destroy a smoll egg is kinda lame.
  15. Booster Icons: Add booster icons next to team stratagem list that show up when you press CTRL, so we can see what our fellow divers chose to bring.
  16. Orbital 500kg Bomb: Change the 500kg bomb to an orbital, so it can utilize the ship module that reduces the damage fall-of from the center of explosion.
  17. Better 500kg Bomb: It doesn’t make sense that one of the biggest explosions in the game in terms of both VFX and attribute is only used to kill targets *directly* in its tiny blast radius in the center. Most of the small bugs just walk away like nothing happened. I think it is unrealistic that a cluster bomb is much better for killing small targets than the stratagem with the biggest explosion. OR at least reduce its visual effects of explosion because they look too majestic for such a small blast radius.
  18. Shield Generator Relay: Sometimes explosions happening outside will kill, stagger or damage the player standing inside the shield. Outside explosions should have much less or no effect on player.
  19. Bile Titans tanking Hellpods: Sometimes -almost always lol- Titans don't take any damage, get staggered or die even if you land directly on their head or body with a hellpod.
  20. Improved Incendiaries: Prolong the burn time of incendiary grenades for a few more seconds. They seem to go out before they even kill anything or deny an entry.
  21. Convenient Flamethrower: Remove the movement speed penalty of firing the flamethrower OR increase the flamethrower’s range by 3-5 meters. Enemies mostly start to attack you, as soon as they enter the range of your flamethrower already. If you believe first option would be unbalanced, then you can make it only avaliable for armors with speed stats above +520
  22. Improve Patriot Exosuit: Fix the aiming and accuracy of the Patriot Exosuit missiles. Also, we need much better gun&pod elevation and depression for a 10 minute cooldown stratagem imo.
  23. Fall damage variation: Fall damage needs to differ between armor sets that you have equipped. Players with light armor should take less damage. However, if you want to give another advantage to heavy armor sets, then you can make heavy armors decrease/negate fall damage to some extent because they would be more protective etc.
  24. Fire effects rework: I don’t know if it is just how it seemed to me instead of how it works but fire effects from napalms, grenades etc. only create flames that are scattered around instead of a big strong wall/pool of fire. These flames make it easier to walk around or through them for enemies and take less damage inside the affected area. I think everything inside a circular radius needs to take constant fire damage. Idk how to explain this better. Sorry if it is already how it works.

TL;DR: I can send multiple different signals through 1 channel. The gifs show how this looks with 4 bits / 16 signals
I was looking forward to a (non script) way to send signals between Grids, since I started playing the game 5 years ago. With yesterdays update it FINALLY arrived! However, it only provides 100 channels. Which is most certainly a reasonable amount of channels, for a normal ServeFaction/player. But Since I am a greedy player, I wanted more so I can standardize my Channels easier. I don't want to have 5 channels just to open 5 doors, I want a single "Open door channel". So I thought about ways I could reduce my channel usage.
My first Idea was to send data over multiple Relays at the same time. This is a fast way to send data, however you can only send 2n-1 Signals, (n being the amount of channels used) since you can not send an empty (0) signal. So you still have to use multiple channels.
The second Idea is the one I stuck with. Sending a digital signal through the Relay. this looks like this:

As you can (hopefully) see in the very degrading GIF, I sent 4 bit over the one action relay and one channel. I can also send different signals:

The attentive readers may have noticed 3 timer blocks on the right that are kind of not making sense right now. These 3 Timers form a "decoder" structure. This means, they convert a Binary signal to a normal timer block action. This works by checking if the sent data equals the expected Data. in this case the expected data is 1100:

when the correct signal is sent it activates the finals Timer block on the right, using this you can trigger any kind of Vanilla sequence with just a single Channel. and not just 4 bit (or 24=16 signals): this is scalable to infinity.
now the drawback of this system is the time it takes. for every bit you have to add 1 second of delay, with an additional 1 second delay when sending and 2 second delay when decoding. This is in my opinion a fair tradeoff for the immense potential this has. You can not only send data, you can in theory even trigger an automated response.
Now I will explain how this works, but I am not perfect in explaining. If you have any questions feel free to ask, it will take me time to answer though.
HOW IT WORKS:
on the left side you see the sending mechanism. it is made from 3 components: Clock, bits and Reset.
Sender Basic schematic
the "Clock" Timer block starts the timer on all "bit" Timer blocks and the "reset" timer block. It also triggers "send signal" on the Action relay and therefore sends a "start" signal.
then, after the set delays of 2,3,4 and 5 seconds each timer block, that is turned on, triggers the "send Signal" on the relay once. after that the "Reset" Timer stops the countdown for any left timers that were not turned on. (to prevent any problems when setting the bits)
The Receiver side is a bit more complex.
it is made up from a clock, bits, reset and a decoder

At the start the bits are turned off. if The action Relay is triggered it triggers the first "clock" block and tries "trigger now" on all "bits"
if a "start" signal is received, the first "clock" block in the upper left starts the "clock" timers above the "bits". after 1 second delay the first timer turns on the first "bit". after another second the second timer turns off the first "bit" and turns on the second "bit". after another second the 3rd timer turns second "bit" off and the 3rd on. this is continued for every "bit".
now: these timings match with the timings of the sender. when the sender "bits" are triggering the action relay they also trigger all bits on the receiver, but only the bit that is turned on reacts. you can see this in the gifs: every bit turns on one light when triggered.
the decoder is responsible for checking if the correct combination of on/off signals was received. this is done by using the "start/stop timer" and "on/off" option of the Timer block. if you want to react to a 1111 signal, the setup is:
bit 1: Timer 1 start, bit 2: Timer 1 on, bit 3: Timer 2 start, bit 4: Timer 2 start
you set the commands in the "setup action" inside the "bits" timer blocks. Those two timer blocks then use the same principle to trigger the 3rd "decoder" block on the right. however since we also want to use combinations like "1000" we have to invert those signals somehow.
the 10 part is simple. when reset, the first decoder block is turned on. and The 2nd bits command are changed to "Turn off". if there is a signal now (01XX or 11XX) it turns the first "decoder"timer off and it cant use any actions.
the 00 part is where its getting difficult. We need to start the countdown of the 2nd "decoder" timer with the clock at the beginning. The delay has to be long enough for "bits" 3 and 4 to trigger, when a wrong signal is sent (XX10, XX01, XX11). when they trigger bit 3 is going to "Stop" the countdown, while bit 4 is going to turn the block off.

Entangled Conduits share most properties with a Beacon, such as placement, size, piston interactions, and so on. They can be mined successfully by hand or with any tool. When destroyed by an explosion, the block always drops as an item. However, unlike a Beacon they only produce a light level of 10, the same as Crying Obsidian.
Entangled Conduits appear somewhat similar to Stonecutters or Enchanting Tables in that they consist of a low 'table' with some animated feature in the center. They have a Sculk-themed color palette, a square base, and a snowglobe-like 'dome' on top. The dome's appearance changes based on the biome theme currently reflected in the Entangled Conduit network (see below).

Usage

Placement

All Entangled Conduits placed in the world belong to the same 'network' (explained below). As such, placed Entangled Conduits keep their chunk loaded (at a level of 31) so as to remain active in this global network.

Interaction

Players can interact with any single Entangled Conduit to toggle ALL Entangled Conduits in the world between all states currently available to the Entangled Conduit network. The available states consist of each unique biome at least one Entangled Conduit has been placed within (explained further below). Only player interaction can activate an Entangled Conduit to toggle between states.
For example, say four Entangled Conduits are placed in the world, with their chunks consisting of the following biomes: Forest, Forest, Ocean, Jagged Peaks. Interacting with any Entangled Conduit in the world would toggle their states in the following order: Forest -> Ocean -> Jagged Peaks -> repeat. To be clear, there are only three states in this setup: Having two Entangled Conduits in the same biome (Forest) still only grants one state to the rotation.
The snowglobe-like dome in the center-top of each Entangled Conduit changes appearance based on the current biome state of the network.

Effect

Entangled Conduits cause their chunk and the chunks immediately adjacent to them to behave as if they were the chunk and biome currently selected by the Entangled Conduit network's state.
This includes spawning (e.g., mobs, frog variants, etc.), fishing rewards, slime chunks, and so on. Biomes exclusive to certain altitudes (e.g., Deep Dark) or temperatures (e.g., Warm Oceans) can still be emulated, though coordinate-dependent effects (e.g., rain turning to snow at sufficiently-high altitudes in some biomes) will not occur at invalid coordinates even if the contributing Entangled Conduit was placed at such coordinates.
Entangled Conduits work across dimensions, but dimension-exclusive effects (e.g., weather and the day-night cycle in the Overworld, the inability to place water in the Nether, etc.) are NOT transferred. For example, if the Entangled Conduit network is used to copy Frozen Peaks into the Nether, goats will spawn (and probably die pretty quickly by charging something they shouldn't haha) but it will not snow and you cannot place water, because you are still in the Nether.

Justification and Preemptive Arguments

Crafting and Value

Entangled Conduits require some of the least-utilized materials in the game, namely Crying Obsidian, Echo Shards, Nautilus Shells, and Hearts of the Sea. This gives these materials more use cases.
Echo Shards tie into the "remote communication" mechanic of Entangled Conduits, since Sculk Sensors also allow for "wireless" signals. As a component, the Conduit mainly just lends its name to the final product, but it fits thematically in that sense, since a conduit is something that acts as a channel for the transmission of something (in this case biomes).
Requiring Echo Shards and especially Hearts of the Sea to craft causes Entangled Conduits to be a non-renewable and relatively difficult-to-obtain resource, similarly to Shulker Boxes. This limits how much they can be abused, and justifies their extreme power with a relatively high cost.

Chunk Loading

Usage
Chunks becoming unloaded is a major source of frustration for anyone that did not build their base within a spawn chunk (and doesn't wish to 'cheat' by using commands). Even if you did build your main base in a spawn chunk, remote locations of interest may be found outside of this range and become unloaded. This is most relevant for redstone contraptions: Say you built a machine that is supposed to activate whenever the sun goes down. You might think that such a trigger should be a 'global' effect, but your machine will not work unless it is inside a loaded chunk!
Current Solution
The current solution to this problem is to create a chunk loader, but these are relatively complex, tedious, often annoyingly loud, need to be hidden (or else be an eyesore), take up space in both the Overworld and the Nether, can mess with Nether Portal networks, and most importantly break when their server shuts down, making them unsuitable for Realms in particular (Realms servers hard shut down when no players are online).
So, although chunk loading is technically currently possible, a reliable way to keep a chunk loaded is so useful and sought-after that a dedicated mechanic is long overdue in my opinion.
Potential Abuse?
Now, obviously the game only loads a limited number of chunks for a reason: If too many chunks are loaded, performance issues may arise. However, this is already possible to abuse using the above chunk loaders. Entangled Conduits would be even more difficult to spam out into the world than the current chunk loaders, because each Entangled Conduit requires a Heart of the Sea to craft. Not only are Hearts of the Sea a non-renewable resource that cannot be farmed, but they require a rather lengthy process to obtain on top of that!

Remote Redstone Activation

Current Solution
Currently, there are extremely limited (and convoluted) ways to remotely activate a redstone machine. You can simply place down an extremely long redstone signal (which requires a ton of time, redstone, and a pathway from your machine to your activation location), you can use a timed trigger (e.g., setting up a clock to trigger later, or using world effects like the day-night cycle), or you can use Sculk mechanics for more short-ranged but nonetheless "wireless" signals.
Entangled Conduits have obvious advantages over all of these, most notably their simplicity and unlimited range. All you need is an Observer facing any Entangled Conduit and it will detect when the state of the global network changes for any reason.
Yeah Yeah, Another Wireless Redstone Suggestion, Yawn...
To be fair, Entangled Conduits do not directly provide "wireless redstone", and have many limitations that hamstring their usefulness for that purpose.
Instead, an analogy I would draw involves a system I made in my survival world for my Ender Pearl Stasis Chamber recall machine: I set up a redstone circuit that detects when I sleep through the night, using a global mechanic (time of day) to communicate with my system back at my main base over any distance. Natural day-night cycles iterate between light levels continuously, while skipping the night by sleeping abruptly changes the light level, which my system detects. So, when I am ready to be recalled, I can remotely trigger my home base's Ender Pearl Stasis Chamber from anywhere in the world to bring me back just by sleeping.
Entangled Conduits would merely make global communication like this a bit more straightforward. However, they still:
  • are exclusively manually-activated (e.g., like Levers as opposed to Pressure Plates or Observers)
  • are all tied to the same global network (and thus only one device can use them at a time, otherwise you would accidentally trigger other devices using the network)
  • do not directly interface with any redstone components (they produce no signal, the only way to use them is through Observers sensing them change state).
  • are far, far more expensive than other "wireless" options like Sculk Sensors or even Calibrated Sculk Sensors.
Since we only recently received the capability for "wireless" signals with Sculk, one of the main criticisms I foresee about this post is that the existence of Entangled Conduits might make some Sculk mechanics obsolete. However, that isn't the case at all, as the two serve drastically different purposes.

Biome Emulation

Entangled Conduits...
  • do not make exploration obsolete. In fact they actively encourage exploration, since you still need to find the desired biome in the first place.
  • create an emulated biome that is quite small, only taking up 9 chunks (the Entangled Conduit's chunk and those immediately adjacent).
  • cannot fully mimic any biome, since most unique features of biomes (e.g., terrain, generated structures, ore/resources, etc.) are created at world spawn, which emulating a biome afterwards does not affect.
  • are relatively expensive in that they cannot be farmed, limiting their usage and therefore ease of abuse.
All of that being said, there are obviously many, many use cases for emulating various biomes in specific chunks at will. I won't be able to list them all here, so instead I argued for the mechanic's downsides (and therefore balance) in the above list.

Hello! I feel like I might be reaching my limits with this game - would really appreciate some gentle hints! I want to keep trying but I'm just completely stuck now..! 😭
I've just finished collecting all the eggs without hints today, proud of that :D But the rest escapes me... I've had just a glance at the posts here and HELLO? There's so much more I'm still missing - like what on earth is that neon paint (Edit: got it.... ohh my god I'm gonna have to walk around the whole map again lol) I've seen in some posts... This is why I'm here, I don't wanna spoil too much for myself by just browsing so I'd rather ask..!
PLEASE don't give me direct answers, hints are so much better! :')
Endgame spoilers below! I kept any pictures further down in the thread but beware - couldn't figure out how to spoilertag pictures.
I have: Beat the boss manticore, got the multi-bubble wand, got the remote, hamster wheel, bouncy ball, (among all the easy to find things like frisbee, slinky etc.) and found 2 secret rabbits - the one disguised as a duck with the flute code, and the one at the beginning of the map, on the ledge. I've also check-marked every single room in the map that I could access, after trying my best to thoroughly check if there's anything at all that stands out to me..! These are the things I've found but can't understand:
  1. I've put the 65th egg in the incubator - needless to say the manticore respawning is not the reward I wanted or expected, not the horrors again!! 😭 I can't save with phones while it's following me, so it must be that I have to take it somewhere... But I can't figure out where. I tried the big 3d ring thing behind my house. I've tried the dog/wolf spirit to see if they'll fight each other. Tried the cave bear, tried the big bat (later realised I can scare it off with multiple firecrackers, that took me way too long lol), I've also noticed the manticore-coded chained boxes (like the dog and mouse ones) in that final stretch of the map, the hidden ones behind some breakable tiles? But the hamster wheel platform next to them let me move them, so I assumed it's a metaphor that I'm the manticore..? Idk. (I've seen the me/seedling-coded boxes too, I think that's where one of the secret rabbits was, which is why the manticore-coded boxes are throwing me off...) Couldn't do anything there with the manticore though... I've also taken it to the flower I/my little guy/the seedling (idk what it is tbh) was born from, the lynx/cat mama, the eggs bird... No clue what else to try 😭
  2. There's a circular recess I couldn't figure out - I understood the kangaroo one, it has firecracker flowers growing next to it, but what do I do with the fish one? All I can see is fish pointing up with sparkly eyes. I've tried giving the bubble fish the ball to play with, I've tried figuring out if that dolphin(?) is giving me some sort of flute code but it didn't look like it, didn't seem like I could use anything for the seahorse either, really no clue where to get the key for the fish circular recess. Yep, needed the last match stick to get to this one...! On my way to slot it in now 👀
  3. I was given a stopwatch after the first manticore, but I can't see it in my inventory and have no idea what it's for... Is this something I shouldn't worry about for now? Got an answer that this just shows the time in the pause menu!
  4. I've noticed the stone pillars? Runestones? Those little stone thingies in the backgrounds all over the map that have a symbol from the map-markers at the top, and 1-5 dots at the bottom. I've been noting them down, but please tell me if I'm on the right track - does the game expect me to use the correct map-marker icons for each stone I found and mark them on the map with that specific symbol, 5 of each? I've only used flame icons to mark them initially cause I was using other symbols for other things, but now with most of the map filled out I could make do without them. But I don't want to walk around the whole map again marking them off if I'm completely off-base here. Not a clue what they're for.
  5. Is there a point to putting the M. disc back down below? I'm surprised I can take it out of the shrine and re-summon the dog/wolf spirit, that's sus. Can it be taken anywhere else? I thought this would have been the circular recess thing but nope :/ Now it's just sitting in the bottom shrine.
  6. Is the monkey with baby monkey throwing rocks at me just a decoration/flavour? Suspicious!
  7. That bear that retreats to the cave - decoration, or something? I've tried using everything in my inventory on it... Suspicious!
  8. WHERE IS THE LAST MATCH STICK!!! I get a feeling that I should be able to finally get through glass if I light the last candle, but I haven't been able to find the last match stick! 😭 I have some areas with no other access than through glass marked off to visit, I just know it'll let me go through glass at some point and I'm heavily leaning towards candle completion... But WHERE IS THAT DAMN MATCH STICK 😭 It was the near starting area one, my gamer pride is sooo hurt by this lol :'D
  9. Giraffe statue right before the room with a couple of guards... Is it anything? Seems like a big and significant statue for just flavour, but I haven't even seen giraffes in the game... Suspicious!
  10. Statue of three green penguins just before the water domain - anything there? Suspicious!
  11. ~~Another thing I saw in someone else's post was warp codes...plural?? I immediately got the home warp code which takes you where all the teleports are, from the fish "singing" below, that felt great and reminded me of my fav game, Tunic! ;W; 💖 But where on earth are people getting the other ones from?? ~~(< I keep trying to strike this out but reddit's flipping out on me) Aha, now that I got my last match stick, and in turn, the new light, I've found another warp immediately... So I guess the rest can be found with the UV light, too... Also I can see why it would have been so much easier to find all the eggs with the light, fml, that was so much trial and error without it :'D
  12. There's a room full of crows not far from where the duck-secret-rabbit faces flute code is. Initially I actually thought the code was for them because of the bird in the picture next to the face codes... What do I do with those crows, if anything? There's a lot of them sitting on 4 separate branches/shelves - I've tried playing multiple versions of flute notes, like how many crows are on each branch, didn't get anywhere.
  13. There's a tiny grid hidden under the LED bunny neon sign area... A 4x4 grid with 1-4 dots on each side. Absolutely not a clue what this is, man, not even a single thought. Been told this needed a whole bunch of players to solve, gonna leave it for when I'm at my complete limit and start looking things up!
  14. Is this anything? I noticed the other savegame icons have slightly different seeds, like these, but... surely I'm not expected to make more savegames?

Same for the ones in the turtle room - initially I started playing the flute to play numbers corresponding to how tall each pillar is, but the turtles just came out as soon as I started playing, and didn't seem to react to me playing anything specific. (I started playing the game a bit ago and i feel like i have enough experience to talk about it but do know that im pretty new to the game and im not very good either)
I feel like every single hero has at the very least 1 thing they can exploit the shit out of. I mainly play duels and brawl with my friend and we are legit suffering with how many gladiators and highlanders and especially berserkers we're facing lmfao.
For example, gladiators always exploit the shit out of that foot stab attack until i just dont wanna play anymore and they always and i mean always light spam which is frustrating. I swear I've barely seen any gladiator ever do a heavy attack or something they always spam lights.
Highlander is just insane imo. He has every single thing a hero would want in a 1v1. He has a good amount or health, really good damage, a lot of hyper armor, a shit ton of moves and a superior block or parry or whatever its called. He even has a grab and a fast kick and both guarantee 1 heavy attack after. (Also i have no idea why this happens but i can never guard break him out of his dodge attack. Is that like something in-game or is it cuz of my ping? This happens with gladiator's shield bash as well)
Berserker is basically god. If the person who's picked him has a brain they never get baited by me as a warden. The way they faint their attsck from one side to the other is outright unfair its just way too fast and also he has even more hyper armor than highlander and this mf is a goddamn assassin hero?
Same goes for basically every hero except for a few. I think warden, shinobi, conqueror, aramusha and peacekeeper are just outright trash compared to other heroes cuz they have nothing that makes them a competitor to someone likr shao lin who is really fast and has a lot of moves and mix ups and that kinda stuff. They have their own abilities yes but they are just useless against other heroes.
A good example would be warden and warmonger. Warmonger is just better in every single way i can think of except she doesnt have that superior block thing. If the 2 players are of the same skillset the warmonger will always win cuz she can simply do infinitely more than the warden.
Am i wrong for thinking like this?

I think this is the first time i will ever Talk of this on a "public way" and i dont know if its going to help me or not but here it goes:
Basically i play games on mobile and i met a Girl around a year ago playing that Game. She was crying because she was having a hard time and basically i tried to cheer her up. Since that day we texted everyday and i did videocalls and sleepcalls with her because she had nightmares and bad thoughts most the days and she Also had bpd plus their previous partners treated her so bad so i tried my best to make her Happy i even bought hera lot of gifts . after something like 3 months (by june of last year) she told me that she loved me and well we started being partners . I am from Spain and she was from Italy so It was a Distance relationship but we managed to see eachother. It took a while because the first time we Saw eachother was on december at a gaming event we saw and since that day we started seeing eachother every two weeks and she met my family too. Everything seemed so nice but some days after valentines day i went to Italy with her and on that days and some days before me coming she was weird and basically after i was there and i gave her a dress as valentines gift (yeah some days after because before i couldnt) i went back monday at Spain and 2 days after she broke Up with me saying that she wasnt feeling the romantic side and that she had a long way to recover. I got depression and anxiety over that and after 2 weeks my great-grandmother Also died. When we broke Up she told me we could be Friends and keep talking but she ignored me and after i talked with her again she told me that she didnt want to keep talking with me so i could move on and that she met another person and well .... I thought that if she took like 3 months to start going out with me and then after breaking Up with me on 2 weeks she is already with another person something was wrong. I decided to Talk with her again and well i messaged her a lot because i was feeling so bad but i basically was toxic and she ended Up blocking me.
After a month of all of this i decided to message my ex and tell her that i was sorry about being toxic and that i was moving on to be honest i wanted to be her friend but she just blocked me. Before you jump and say anything yeah i know about things like "I need to let her go" or "you need to move on" but its just that it hurts to love someone to that point and give everything just so it finishes that way.
After all of this happened i started going gym and watching anime shows etc... As i found it really helped me to deal with emotions. I Also tried to make new friends and even tried to meet a nice girl for a relationship (for me LDR are not a problem as im willing to put the effort if i see that person really makes me happy) but i didnt have much luck with that as for both things i got either insulted , ignored or asked for money which are things that shows me the lack of interest of those persons towards me.
I dont know.... I understand what i need to do and i know whats right but... It just hurts too much and sometimes i feel its too much for me.

There are no emails from BSG about someone logging into that account other than me or someone requesting a passoword change.
I reached out to the Support and after waiting more than 15 days they finally responded with citing their TOS :

First time posting; I'm sorry if I screwed up anywhere!
This happened about a year ago so I apologize if I misremember a few details.
At the time, I was running for a new group of four players. The players so far have had one adventure together: killing rats in a basement. Already the party is roleplaying together and making inside jokes. Even the new players who are a bit shy are starting to open up.
For their next adventure, the party has been recruited to go to a nearby farm that is been harassed by nearby goblins. The farm is tended to by three NPC's: Hillard, an old crotchety man who is secretly a powerful wizard in hiding after a "job gone wrong;" Mallory, his wife (who never got developed); and Dolores, their restless daughter. Hillard wants Dolores to stay on the farm, but Dolores has a hunger for adventure. The party decide to take Dolores along with them to go oust all the goblins and give her some spare equipment they have lying around. For context, her stats are all atrocious with about 6 HP to her name.
Miraculously, she survives their encounters, but not without her almost dying several times and realizing that adventuring is a lot more dangerous than she thought.
The party, to my surprise, convinces Hillard to let Dolores join them. More inside jokes appear with some players in character doting on their new adventuring buddy.
Here's where things get weird.
One of my players, our rogue, takes Dolores on his protégé. He spends most of his gold in town buying her equipment and healing potions and attempts to give her life lessons and training in their downtime. While I don't give a mechanical benefit, I do roleplay Dolores slowly building confidence, namely feeling more safe now that she has a shield and armor to hide in.
Another new player who is playing our druid decides that she is going to roleplay that she's not a fan of Dolores. While the rogue is building up Dolores' confidence and coddling her, the druid instead makes remarks that it's a waste of time as Dolores is probably just going to wind up dead. Other players in character chastise the druid for this, but it's all in character so I think nothing of it. Post session there are more jokes and things seem to be going well.
Later, I get a bunch of discord messages from the druid player that the rogue player is DM'ing her and making her feel upset and useless.
I go and talk to the rogue player and he's complaining because he doesn't like how the druid player is putting down Dolores. I tell him that firstly if he has problems with other players to bring it to me first (a policy I have so that I can filter out the vitriol if players have legitimate concerns) but I remind him that Dolores is an NPC with about 6 HP and that while he might be getting attached, the druid player is under no obligation to do so. I ask him if that's a problem for him and let him know that I will address it if it is, but he says that it isn't and apologizes for his behavior.
I speak with the other players and ask if they're having any issues with this and they're surprised I'm even asking. To them (and me) it added a much needed dynamic to Dolores.
I then ask both the druid and rogue players privately if they would be okay meeting together in a group call to have a discussion, namely to see if this can be salvaged, and they agree. Surprisingly, the rogue player apologizes for being out of line and admitting that he let it get to him. I propose that players are allowed to have different opinions and can roleplay different opinions but that any conflict will stay between characters and not extend outside the table. The players agree and make up, and the next session goes pretty smoothly.
Three sessions later and he has a full-on explosion, calling the druid player a female dog and an impolite word for female genitals, rants that she's "ruined the game by being such a downer to Dolores" and leaves the call. He messages me privately that he really enjoyed our game and would love to be invited to another one if I host, but that he can't stand how miserable "that c---" is by making everyone feel depressed (again, I spoke with the other players and they were surprised he felt that way at all.)
Part of me wanted to call him out, but I'm too nice and instead thanked him for his compliment, told him he would not be receiving a future invite to my tables, and blocked him.
I then had a long conversation with the druid player who has been absolutely emotionally destroyed by this and in tears. We have a player meeting with the remaining players about it. I offer to end the game if no one feels like playing anymore, but everyone says that they enjoyed the game thus far and wanted to see what more I had in store.
Even the druid.
Somehow that game is still going on. And Dolores is somehow still with them, alive and well.

2024.05.14 10:38 Shadowgrime High Purple - early Blue ranks are flowcharty as hell

I’m a Jin main, I got demoted all the way from Raijin down to Battle Ruler, and now that I’ve fought my way back up to Fujin again (giving me even more experience against certain characters and strings), and I noticed how everyone is just flowcharting like crazy.
During these matches for the most part I just block and let people finish whatever sequences they have regardless of whether or not I get hit by it. I like running into the players faces and doing nothing sometimes to see how they react. Anyways here’s a list of characters who are the most flowcharty from my experience so far.
  1. Lili: These players are the most flowcharty out of everyone around these ranks. This could go for any character really, but if you consistently show that you can block and punish their bs a good 80%-90% of the time, they will either adapt or crumble.
  2. Alisa: (don’t let use her chainsaws, use lows/mids and grab mixups constantly, and stay in her face (like Hwoarang to make sure they can’t play the game. If they manage to gain distance you can sidestep left (SSL) their long range range chainsaw move)
  3. Raven: A bit tricky (because he’s a ninja obviously), for the most part all I can say is sidestep right (SSR) their moves (on a read, not willy nilly). He has pretty deceptive strings, I need more Raven knowledge but for now, just wait out some of his sequences and punish.
  4. King: beware of the counter hit low and the super slow low launcher on wake up and armor move if they get hit.
  5. Lars: Need more knowledge but from what I’ve seen, they flowchart into 1+2 grab a lot
Feel free to add other characters you think are flowcharty and I may or may not have advice. Knowledge truly is power in Tekken.

Who is Tristan Da Silva?
Tristan Da Silva is a 6'9" tweener forward coming off a standout senior year at Colorado. Known for his versatile offensive skills akin to Kyle Kuzma, Tristan is this year's "Most Likely to Be Jaime Jaquez Jr." winner. He's set to immediately contribute as a valuable role player in the NBA.
Da Silva is intelligent, adaptable, and performs well both on and off the ball. His ability to thrive as a #3 or #4 scoring option—spotting up from three, attacking closeouts, and exploiting mismatches—makes him a potent offensive threat. Yet, questions linger about his transition to the NBA due to his athletic, strength, and length limitations. In college he was a solid defender but due to his physical limitations his defense is a big question mark for me.
NBA Fit:
I'm all in on players who bring versatility and a high basketball IQ to the table. Da Silva fits this mold perfectly as a high-floor, low-ceiling prospect likely to excel as either a starter or a key bench player, depending on the team's needs. Ideally, he should be paired with a strong, versatile forward or a defensive anchor to compensate for his limitations.
Da Silva is on my short list of players I would love for the Raptors to draft at #19. His fit next to Scottie and Co. is arguably the best out of the available prospects when we will be selecting. Furthermore, Da Silva is ready to contribute today and fits the BBQ timeline. If he can become the high end role player that I think he can be he would be a perfect forward to pair with Scottie.
