First grade labor day

So I started dating a girl I’ve known since I was 12 years old. We are both Christians. After we dated about 6 months she Ghosted me. Keep in mind we were talking about getting married. About a month after we broke up she text me. We never talked about what happened because I didn’t want to upset her. We finally stop talking because I told her I couldn’t get over her. She told me to get over it & to have a nice life. I was destroyed. I had never loved anyone that much.
During this time I prayed & I continue to pray about it. God told me to be patient with her & to trust him. I saw her on Facebook I messaged her & we have talked every day since then. 5 months. She messages me every single morning and says good morning. Somedays we message all day & some days she calls me.
I finally told her I was still in love with her. I told her what God said & she told me to do what he said. I never text, message, or call her first. I just reciprocate.
We finally talked about what happened between us & she said she was broken & didn’t know how to handle the situation.
I pray for guidance & for God to show me if she the one for me. Show me if she belongs in my life. I recently started surrendering it to God. I just need some prayer because I want to be obedient. If you don’t have anything positive to say please just scroll on. Thanks

Hi everyone, I need your advice. I am a PhD student in Linguistics in Italy. This is my last year and I've already begun working as "post-Doc" since my scholarship ended in January.
I have two supervisors: the first one does not really know my thesis, since he is more interested in teaching and conference papers. That's why I could apply for a job as post-Doc (my cv is already very good).
The second supervisor knows my thesis by heart but he keeps suggesting me to improve it and every week he gives me corrections, even on the chapters he considered "perfect". I wrote only 110 pages, the third chapter is still a mess and the last one is just outlined. I am very very tired and I feel like I've lost control on my work. I have to hand in the dissertation in July and I feel like I won't be able to do it and that there is no point anymore in correcting it before the submission.
I WANT to hand in it in July because only after the submission I can get the "official" corrections from the revisors and then I can defense it.
This year I've been very sick and I've also teached and travelled a lot. I just want to submit the dissertation, I don't care about the note. After that I can work on it if I want to publish it.
But now all I can see is the darkness around me and I feel like I will drown because I don't see the light.
Do you have any advice? Do you think I will be able to submit it in July? And most important: how can I tell my supervisor that I am really TIRED and if he keeps changing the structure and adding correction I feel like I am drowning?

I am waiting in EWR for my flight home. It’s been a very long day.
Now I understand why people hate United. We were supposed to go LIS-IAD-RDU but LIS-IAD was canceled so we got on chat and went LIS-LHR-EWR-RDU. We couldn’t get out from LIS for two more days as all other flights were full.
Despite my best efforts, I still ran into problems which is why I’m never flying United again.
1) Some genius at United sent me a customer cares email. They had the nerve to offer me a $500 eCredit instead of the $1 million I know I deserve for not being rebooked on Japan Airlines first class on a European flight.
2) Who do these people think they are, putting me on another flight so that I can get home? Whatever happened to making people stay overnight to make a connection? They could have made me stay two more days in LIS but these geniuses couldn’t even get that right.
3) I couldn’t pre order my meal because of the canceled flight so onboard I asked for the butter chicken. But what should I have asked for on my LHR-EWR flight?
I hope someone at United sees this so they can teach their employees to not be so helpful. I am never flying with this airline again. At least not until I need to go somewhere.
P.S. I really hope my asshole husband doesn’t snore again tonight. You try finding your earplugs in the dark, the night before you have to travel all day.

I have visted Zion once before for a day and was astounded. It is the most beautiful place i have ever been. I am revisiting soon and will be staying 3 nights. Does anyone have any experience disperse camping around Zion? Is it worth it to disperse camp or just bite the bullet and get a camp site with water and showers? Are there campgrounds we can reserve in advance or are they all first come first serve? Thank you so much!

Hello, I married my wife who is a Mexican and has never been to USA before, we got married in a court in Mexico City and have the marriage certificate and we had a wedding event party a few days later.
Right now I’m in the process of filling out the I-130 and the I-130A and I believe there’s another form that I can fill out that she can come here while it’s processing but I haven’t gotten to that yet. My wife got a lawyer to tell us how to do the process, but i want to be sure that what this lawyer is saying is correct.
A few issues I have with the lawyer telling us we need to do these things. The lawyer says that we need to write a letter apologizing to USCIS for marrying in Mexico and we need to tell USCIS that we didn’t know how to get married in USA? Is this true? He also said my wife needs to get a tourist visa and we need to marry here in USA. He also said I won’t need to go to Mexico for the interview, I can do somewhere in USA.
I’ve read a lot about the process but I never heard of these things before but this is my first time so I could be clueless so I’m hoping somebody that has experience can let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. I think I’m just worried of doing something wrong and we get denied so I’m trying to make sure everything is perfect.

White leghorn just randomly stopped laying. She had been our best layer laying every day for the last 3-4 months. She’s roughly 14-16 months old. She seems happy go lucky except the first day she didn’t lay. She wanted to sleep in the nesting box.

I’ll keep this as short as possible. I was with my now ex boyfriend for 3 years (broke up 10 days ago). We’re both late 30s, he’s close to 40. I never understood his behavior until the final straw that ended things.
He would get so pissed off with me. Storm out of the house and not talk to me for a day to two. At first, I was appalled. I thought something bad had happened to him. I didn’t hear from him for like a day in a half. I had no idea what was wrong. I was always trying to figure out “what I did wrong”. I would go back and comb through every last conversation we had. I would call, text, and he would never answer when he was stonewalling me. I would be shaking, crying, wondering why??? Then he would come around and act like everything was fine. I told him time and time again this was a deal breaker for me. But of course, I kept letting it happen.
Now, it wouldn’t happen every day, or week, or month. Maybe once a month, or we would go months without him having a tantrum. What broke us was a little over a month ago he “set me up” to see what I would do in a situation. I didn’t live up to his expectations and he stormed out on me. I said in my head…it’s over. I didn’t hear from him the rest of the day, the next day, and then finally the next morning he called. He came over to talk and emotionally destroyed me. Made me feel so ashamed of who I was as a person. Picked out all the things that he couldn’t stand anymore in our relationship. He does everything for me, I do nothing. Please go read my last post.
I tried to end things but we went in circles and his manipulative behavior held me in place. “Our relationship is almost perfect expect for when this happens” “I swear I want to change” “look at everyone around us, they are in toxic relationships” “every couple argues!!”
It’s finally over and I am sad. I do love him, and miss him. We did have a great connection and love for each other but how can I go on in a relationship with someone who emotionally is immature, and abusive?! It’s hard, but I’m hanging in there.

In my first spring and just about to head into summer with no money.
I've got an Evelyn quest asking for diamonds and only got given the 1 day to do it. Read in a other post to just reset level 55 of the mine over and over and a node should pop up because apparently they show up on elevator floors past 50. The quest gives a couple thousand coins and I feel like I could use that going into the next season as I've no time for more crops grow
Took the whole day resetting floor 55 and got nothing so in my frustration I closed the game and restarted the whole day only for the same thing twice more. I know I could just skip it and move on but I'm dedicated now after 2 day resets trying to get one, after I gave away my only diamond to the museum the day before.

Hi! This might be kind of a long one but just feeling incredibly anxious about my sweet girl Chloe. So some backstory, she was my husbands cat for many many years, he had gotten her as a gift when he was little. Now due to being a child he never got her spayed and into adulthood it just never seemed like an issue for him. So anyway fast forward we’re married all is well and good and I had already planned to spay the girl but as of late late last Friday night we noticed the signs of pyometra from her and after a ton of panic and stress we managed to get her into surgery first thing Saturday morning. It’s only been a couple days of her recovering and for the most part she just sleeps (understandable). She has eaten and drank and went potty. But I guess I’m just kind of a nervous Nelly about it, she’s an older gal- our guess is around 10 or 11. Would love to hear if anyone had some success stories about their cats who went through the same thing?

Gonna try and make this short. I was an avid COD player starting around 2010-2011. I played every release leading up to about 2017 when my PS4 bit the dust and i just thought of using my time doing other things. fast forward to xmas this past year my lady and i decide to buy a ps5, shortly after the new mw3 remaster came out and i purchased that. i do not play the campaign ever i only play multiplayer, more specifically i basically only play TDM or hardcore TDM. My kdr MAY be at 1.00 but honestly its probably is lower. i can get in a match and go 3-24 easily depnding on the map lol, im a middle aged man. im out here trying to have guy time not go pro.
In april i noticed i had random friends on my friends list that were in chinese/japanese characters, at first i was like how did those get there, but then i thought maybe someone switched the name on their account from my old friends from my playing days. to be safe i deleted the old friends outside of who i play with currently, including the strange accounts.
Well last week i try to log on and i do not get online. so I assume the serve it down, but after 3 days still not connecting. this lead me to investigate. to which i find i have been banned from MW3, Warzone, and MW2. I appealed it, trying to explain the situation withint the 1000 character account but that did not work and now i have no more appeals. I aslo noticed my activision account was connected to a random steam account. i have no idea what steam is, as i am a middle aged man as i have said. activision has not seemed to care.
Oddly enough i went to vent on twitter and to my surprise hundred of bots came trying to get me to pay this account or that account to regain my account back. which im definitely not doing that. I assume that is a hustle for hackers.
My question is, is there anything i can do or anyone i can actually contact outside of the appeal form? LIke an email or someone to actually explain the situation and not rely on AI to make a decision on the status of my long running account? I literally just purchased the 420 cheech and chong bundle too.
I have screen shots and more via my facebook post i made last week about the situation that shows the freidn requests and my appeal band. The other interesting this is i stopped getting activision emails, so i was unaware of the punishment until i researched it.

So, I just got my snake, Candy Corn, about a week ago. I've never owned a snake before but I've known multiple snake owners and attended a class on snake ownership previously (it was a one class seminar at a convention). So, Candy Corn is 10 years old. I'm her (I think?) 3rd owner, and she's an absolute joy. I was sitting near her tank a few days ago and I heard what sounded like a sneeze. I got worried and googled what it means and all the results were about respiratory infections. Her previous owner had lost her heating pad at an unknown point, believing it was under her tank but, when we arrived to get it, there was no pad present. We have one for her since we adopted her (we stopped by the pet store on the way home) and so I was worried that maybe she contracted something during the unknown time she didn't have a heating pad. But here's the thing; I've only seen her "sneeze" 4 times at most, and all the times have been right after drinking. She dips her little snout into the water and then, after drinking, she'll pull her head up and "sneeze". The first time I heard it, I wasn't actively watching or handling her so I didn't know if she was drinking or not, but the only times I've seen her do it was after she's finished drinking. Should I be concerned about this and take her to a vet, or is she just getting water up her nose?

Looking for anyone with experience with solensia! My 15yo senior kitty has been having some back troubles for the last couple years but is otherwise a healthy 15lb boy. Usually we were able to treat his pain with prednisolone but once that stopped working we had to look at alternatives. After trying several different combos (gabapentin, amantadine, oral tramadol) we have landed on the solensia injection, transdermal tramadol, and he also got a steroid shot as well. After the first solensia injection we saw quite a bit of improvement, but he also got the steroid at the same time. It was so nice having our boy back. Appetite was good and he was jumping again and doing the stairs (although we try not to encourage stair use) About a week before the second injection (today) he had started to slow down a little and his appetite dropped when he started sneezing some. We suspect seasonal allergies and his steroid wearing off. He got checked out today- no fever or respiratory infection and he did get both the steroid and solensia (I’m sorry I don’t know which specific steroid I would have to ask our lovely vet). He did extremely well throughout the day following me around and mainly just napping. As of this evening he is not feeling well at all :(. He’s hiding in his usual place when he’s not feeling well (our spare bathroom on the rug where he hasn’t been in several weeks), and just seems a little out of it. He did eat some treats earlier and has peed in his litter box twice. I’m curious to know if anyone’s cat has had this type of reaction with solensia. He had a little food when we got home and some treats just a few hours ago. I should add that he did dry heave a few times but I know that nausea is a common side effect so I wasn’t too concerned about that. Of course it’s 8pm and our vet is closed, although I do have a message sent to a friend who works in veterinary care. Any advice/support appreciated!

I’m a senior at a public high school. Last December, I had a depressive episode and missed 12 days of school and ~60 assignments. Per school policy, students are allowed to make up work when they’re absent. I contacted the school social worker to coordinate my return and ensure that I could complete the mountain of work which awaited me, and all seemed to go smoothly at first.
Around a month later, one teacher continuously refused to allow me to make up work, and instead gave me zeroes for a slew of assignments which lowered my grade significantly. To justify this move, they made up a variety of claims: that I was disrespectful, that I was given the chance to make up the work but simply hadn’t, and other things. When I raised this concern to the social worker, I was forced by this teacher to apologize for nonexistent disrespectful behavior, and my grade still wasn’t changed.
Then a couple weeks later, another teacher did something similar. They had agreed to let me finish the work, which I had done (and then contacted them numerous times to change my grade), but they never graded my work. When I got my parents involved, they deleted my work from Google classroom to make it seem as though I had never done the work to begin with, and then changed even more grades - some from months prior - which tanked my grade in the class significantly.
A third teacher also failed to grade an assignment; I won’t get into too much detail but it’s pretty similar to the other two. I got the vice principal and principal involved, but they repeated the lies that the other teachers made about me and are now ignoring me. This was five months ago, and my grades for the previous semester still haven’t been changed. These grades were so exceptionally low, such a steep drop off from my previous performance, that I was rejected from every college I applied to and now have to go to community college.
In audition, two of the three teachers have continued to tank my grade this semester. One of them allows a student who is in my class to grade my assignments on the teacher’s behalf. When I spoke to the administration about this, nothing was done. The other teacher has pulled so much bullshit that it I could write a book about it, so I’ll just list a few things here:
Left the room while I was taking a test and then gave me a 0
Gave me a 0 for a homework assignment I missed while I was in the emergency room
Accused me of throwing a test in the garbage and then gave me a 0 for it
Accused me of cheating on a test that I should have gotten a 100 on; took it from me when I showed her a grading error that they made and now claim that they don’t have the test
Quite frankly, I just can’t take it anymore. There is no possible way that I, a single student, can take on three teachers and the principal. My grades are in the toilet right now because they can just do whatever they fucking want, no matter how hard I try. These days I just come home and cry on the floor. Barring any changes in this bullying pattern, I plan to chuck myself off a bridge or something of that nature. What the hell am I supposed to do about this situation?

My little fluffer had quite the time last summer, peeing outside the box. Unbeknownst to us she was suffering from a medical urinary issue. We at first thought it was behavioral so we added little boxes upstairs (had been to the vet at this point). She continued with outside the box peeing (focused on throw rugs or any random clothing left or fallen on the floor), and returned to the vet a few more times till she was finally diagnosed with an issue which required surgery. Unfortunately, I was on vacation for a week while we were still in the "behavioral" issue camp, and my adult son was home. He was not good at detecting or even checking the house daily for floor pee and as a result the front door floor area, in a vestibule which can be closed off with an inside door, had pee on it probably for the better part of 7 days. It stinks in there still and is stained black. Eventually (this summer) I'll have to replace the floor at the front door. In the meantime, with the nice weather I want to open the foyer door so sunlight and air can flow in from the screened in door. I'm still not trusting my cat will not pee again in that area, for old time's sake, so I want a tall, maybe 4' tall foldable gate. All I see online for tall ones are metal and ugly IMO. This gate will be fully visible from my living room so I want it to be attractive. Does anyone have any ideas, short of building my own?

So I’m a first year and I didn’t get Fizz (I asked Andre he’s like nah bro) but I really wanna do that program cuz I love physics and that’s my career path.
WHERE TO GO FROM HERE:
I know I need to go to a different spec and transfer in. My options are mech, elec and Igen. Here’s the issue, I don’t want to do igen because I’ve heard not so great things, I’m open to elec or mech but I’ve heard elec is bs second year so grades won’t be enough, although there are overlapping courses and I think I’ll like elec. Mech on the other hand I’ve heard is competitive overall, but I think me likey.
ALSO my average is like 77.6 (it was 78.1 but Apsc 101 dropped my grade).
SO does anyone have advice on what’s best? I know someone will say do what you think you’ll enjoy, but that was fizz, so elec or mech is what I think I’ll enjoy.
Do I:

1. Write for Mech ( I think I will enjoy this a bit more and I can write a better statement but no overlap courses with fizz)
   
2. Write for elec (has fizz overlap but perchance some bs second year)
   

3.Write for Igen ( grind out and transfer )

First yeah teaching high school, so I’d love some input:
My students started final exams this week. I thought I would be nice and give them a simple reflection essay as their final, since I’m “just an elective class” and I know they’re swamped studying for their other classes. All they had to do was tell me 3 things they learned in my course, and how they would apply those concepts moving forward in life.
The VERY FIRST exam I graded was from a senior, who copied an entire article she found on google onto her paper… keep in mind all chromebooks have been collected by the district, so it wasn’t even a copy and paste, she hand wrote every single sentence, word for word… couldn’t even put in the effort to add her own sentence or switch out higher level words for terms we used in class! Also, at some point she obviously got distracted because she wrote the same sentence 3 times in a row… clearly didn’t proof read before turning in either.
I’m both annoyed at the absolutely laziness and insulted that she thinks I’m so stupid I wouldn’t notice. My first instinct is to give her a 0 and essentially tell her “Sorry, enjoy summer school and walking the stage late” especially since she has shown this level of laziness the entire semester.
My principal says it’s up to my if I give her a 0 as her exam grade, or if I let her retake it. So, seasoned teachers… what would you do?

Seeing all the Supercharger drama compelled me to make this post:
The year is 2009. Tesla is running short on money. The company has delivered its first 200 roadsters to buyers far later than anticipated. All delivered roadsters are recalled for safety issues. Just a few months before, Elon had laid off 20% of the company, presumably to cut costs. Elon had to wire his last 3 million dollars to the company with no guarantee of return because the company would otherwise not have been able to make payroll. To a lot of people, this was proof that the arrogant dot com millionaire would soon realise that he was ill equipped to run a hardware company.
In March 2009, Tesla engineer Peng Zhou leaks information relating to the company's finances to the press. When Elon found out, he fired Zhou and made him apologize to the company. Elon would then send documents to the rest of the employees compelling them to inform him if they had ever leaked information to the press with the promise that they would not receive consequences. Elon wanted to run a company in which important information was not being kept from any employees, but constant leaks would be a betrayal of that trust. To a lot of outside observers, Elon was an egomaniac obsessed with secrecy, whose witch hunt would create a negative atmosphere in the company that discouraged productivity, and Tesla would have been better off with a more stable and rational CEO. He was being "known more for feuds and firings" than building cars.
In the same month, Tesla unveiled a hurriedly built Model S prototype. Hurried, because Tesla was on death watch. Tesla had a significant backlog on roadster orders. The company was bleeding money. So to a lot of analysts, Tesla would never be able to deliver on an even more technologically challenging vehicle. The Model S was described as "absolute vapourware" - the type that was common in the software industry that Elon was coming from, but Tesla and Elon had the "gall" to take deposits on this imaginary vehicle. And even if they succeeded, Tesla would also never lead the EV revolution because they made toys for rich people. Fisker was a better candidate.
One more anecdote from another Elon company: In 2018, Elon was not happy with the progress being made by the Starlink team. 3 years after announcement, the starlink satellites that had been developed were too complicated and too expensive. Instead of reassessing with his team like a "stable" and "rational" CEO would have, Elon jumped straight to step 2 of his "algorithm" and deleted the executives outright. He and a group of trusted engineer would take on the former executives roles and do it themselves.
So, how did those decisions work out for Elon and his companies?

1. Tesla delivered on all the roadster orders, unlike what experts and armchair executives thought
   
2. Tesla did not go bankrupt, unlike what experts and armchair executives thought
   
3. The leaks stopped, and productivity did not decrease due to the negativity, unlike what experts and armchair executives thought
   
4. The Model S was released and delivered, and became the foundation the electric vehicle revolution was built on, unlike what experts and armchair executives thought. Fisker is preparing for bankruptcy.
   
5. The executives fired by Elon moved on to Bezos' project Kuiper, where they are yet to launch anything significant. Meanwhile, Starlink is a mega constellation, has 2 million users, and made $6bn in revenue.
   

A more "stable" CEO would never have been able to take an automotive startup and make it the most valuable car company in the world, with over 1T in market cap at ATH. With a more stable CEO, electric vehicles would have been dead on delivery and Tesla would never have become synonymous with electric vehicles to the average person like they are today. I don't pay attention to any of the drama that happens day to day, like what's currently happening with the Supercharger team lately because that is how Elon has always run his companies, and I know that the drama is a part of the process. I will be voting to reinstate his pay package.

I really haven’t carried it much and I’ve only cut a few pieces of paper. It has not been sharpened. Blade is centered. Action is phenomenal! I have disassembled it to install the zircuti pocket clip and skiff bearings. Just for context I ordered the clip straight from Matt. It does include the original uncarried pocket clip.
