You are not recommended to try spells to bring a lover back if you are going through the following: You know that your relationship with your ex is toxic and the best painful option to take in this is to move on. It is not a good choice to be in a relationship that is un-natural, one that is built on witchcraft. The love spark as to be their at all times.
Even the most powerful love spell may not fulfill the things that are required for a real relationship to be in place. Love should be natural and if your partner looses interest in you, its better that you let them follow the heart. If one door closes, expect another open infront of you.
Therefore witchcraft or love spells should not be the ultimate solution to mending a broken heart in a relationship, one has to make love exist naturally by doing the right things to your partner, the things that will recapture the inner feelings of love and affection as you did in the start of the relationship.
Only if and when all has been tried and failed to work that one should order for my love spells that actually work, and indeed this will be the last nail in the coffin to fix your troubled relationship permanently.

Email template for the Governor’s Cabinet and the Legislature below.
Yes, it is long, but it captures a lot of our frustrations.
This subreddit has over 38,000 people. If even 1,000 people emailed all of these folks from Governor’s Cabinet, the Legislature, and Other State Leaders, they will definitely take notice.
THIS IS OUR MOMENT.
There are areas in this email template for you to customize, so please read through it.
I highly recommend Hotmail or Yahoomail. If you use Gmail, you may need to click “Tab” multiple times when entering in so many emails.
You may also wish to send a copy to your own manager, section chief, branch chief, Dept. Director, etc.
Guidelines:
  1. USE BCC (not in the “To” or “CC” section.
  2. REMAIN RESPECTFUL.
  3. OPTICS MATTER. Do not make us look bad in any way.

Dear California State Leaders,
I write to you today as a voter, taxpayer, constituent, and as a State of California employee. My ________years of dedicated work serves Californians every day because my role focuses on supporting _________.
I want to share my personal story and provide some facts and data about the Governor’s new June 17 RTO (Return to Office) arbitrary mandate. This mandate will cost taxpayers more during this budget deficit crisis and it is a poorly thought-out, one-size-fits-all, chaotic approach. According to the survey data from 110 State Departments, telework was a huge success for recruitment, productivity, morale, collaboration, and decreasing office space. This chaotic, mandatory, arbitrary RTO simply creates a long list of unnecessary problems. For all of the reasons outlined in this email, I strongly support Assemblyman Josh Hoover’s audit request.
My message is simple: Encourage the Governor to rescind the June 17 arbitrary RTO mandate. The decision for the frequency that employees should all meet in-person and collaborate should rest with those closest and most familiar with the work: individual Unit Managers. These managers know the true collaboration, mentorship, and operational needs of their individual teams. Individual Unit Managers should be allowed to make decisions on accordingly to carry out the Department’s goals and mission. This is the bottoms-up approach that balances the needs of both the employer and employees. The Governor’s mandate and top-down approach fails to acknowledge the many financial and environmental repercussions to not only its own employees, but also to the State of California.
I want to share my personal story as a working class, public servant. With high inflation, I simply cannot afford to shoulder the cost of commuting, which averages $8,466 annually.. According to this 2023 LAO (Legislative Analyst Office) report, for most employees, our State provided wages have consistently been lower than the inflation rate, year-after-year, since 1999, constantly eroding our purchasing power. Other employees have it worse, such as scientists who have had their salaries be frozen for 4 years since 2020 as CalHR has refused to budge on reaching a contract. Purchasing power is a key metric since a $50,000 salary in 2024 buys far less than in 1999. This 2023 UC Berkeley Labor Center report confirmed that “State workers struggle to make ends meet throughout California.” Even the 2023 California State Auditor reports “that hiring and retaining qualified IT staff is the greatest challenge that they [State Departments] currently face.”
If the State is unwilling to provide market wages that keep up with inflation, the state can recruit and retain employees by improving working conditions, such as telework. Being allowed to telework 5 days a week has helped stretch my limited dollars, especially in this inflationary period. This arbitrary RTO mandate is effectively yet another pay cut for me that I simply cannot afford.
Personally, having the opportunity to telework 5 days a week has dramatically improved my quality of life by:
#############################################################
Tell them why the RTO issue is important to you, your family member and your community.
IF YOU DISCUSS CHILD CARE, ONLY TALK ABOUT THE HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER WORK. DO NOT DISCUSS CHILD CARE DURING YOUR REGULAR 8-5 JOB.
###########################################################
  1. I have saved ____ hours on my roundtrip commute per week. This has allowed me to reinvest that time toward _____. [helping my kids with their homework, taking care of elderly relatives ]
  2. I have saved $___ on commuting costs, which has helped me better afford ___ for me and my family. This has been especially helpful because high inflation has negatively affected me by _____.
  3. By teleworking, I am reducing my environmental impact and contribution to climate change, which is _____
  4. I have a physical disability and telework is more accommodating than using public transportation, etc. (Feel free to expand on it)
  5. I do not live in an area with access to efficient public transportation, so teleworking helps by _____
  6. For childcare during before and after work hours, it would cost me ________.
The State will incur many financial and environmental costs:
  1. If even 33%, or 73,086 out of the 221,474 State employees use the monthly maximum IRS public transportation benefit,) that would cost the State $276.3 million every single year.
  2. State Departments already spend $600 million per year on rent. Many State Departments also simply do not have enough office space for all of their employees currently. There is nowhere near enough quiet conference room space for employees to hold confidential meetings with stakeholders. Will these departments sign new leases for office space?
  3. State Departments will be forced to buy many millions of dollars worth of additional office equipment for employees to effectively carry out their jobs including additional webcams, headsets, keyboards, standard office supplies, etc.
  4. Pursuant to the reasonable accommodation process for employees with verified medical needs, State Departments will need to purchase other expensive equipment, including but not limited to specialized chairs and stand up desks.
    1. It is important to note that many employees have already invested their own money into equipping their own home office that best meets their needs. It is not simply not possible to ask an employee to bring in their own large equipment from home to the office and back, so the State Departments would incur these additional purchases.
  5. State Departments will be spending much more in maintenance costs for elevators, bathroom repairs, printer repairs, electricity, water, gas, and other utilities.
  6. State telework has also eliminated nearly 400,000 metric tons of carbon emissions. Mandating RTO will needlessly cause more carbon emissions, which directly runs counter to the Governor’s own words for his trip to the Vatican: “global temperatures [are] hurtling towards alarming new heights, the stakes could not be higher. There is no greater authority than moral authority — and the Pope’s leadership on the climate crisis inspires us all to push further and faster.”
The arbitrary mandatory RTO causes chaos among State Departments:
Across various departments, it’s common knowledge that a sizable number of executive-level leaders do not reside near Sacramento and instead live in other regions in California, such as the Bay Area and Southern California.
  1. The next logical question is, will the state offer these executive-level leaders special exemptions and privileges not available to rank and file staff and risk the hypocrisy that undermines the Governor’s stated policy for more “collaboration?” This creates another “rules for thee, but not for me” situation.
  2. Or will the State risk losing these executive-level leaders en masse across numerous departments, undermining policy and program implementation?
  3. For Departments considering exempting those who live over 50 miles away, it also destroys employee morale. For example, a 20 year veteran staff member with technical expertise may be forced to commute and come into the office twice a week to train a newer employee over Microsoft Teams or Zoom simply because they live in Los Angeles. This naturally breeds frustration and resentment.
  4. For exempted employees who live over 50 miles away, some Departments are creating policies that their 5 day remote status only applies to their currently held position, so these employees are “forever stuck” and cannot promote upward, even if they have the expertise the Department needs.
  5. The State is starting to open itself up to lawsuits as some Departments are already denying reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities.
  6. Being able to recruit employees from areas other than Sacramento helps ensure Departments get perspectives from different counties all across the State. People from rural, suburban, and urban areas all have different experiences and to best serve ALL Californians, we need a geographically diverse workforce.
  7. As previously stated, many Departments already do not have the office space or needed equipment for all of their employees. With RTO, new equipment will be needed and purchasing equipment notoriously takes a long time. These factors, combined with many departments trying to implement a hoteling system, will ultimately result in a extremely chaotic return-to-the-office and tank productivity. Many Departments have held Q&A sessions and time and time again, HR offices have been unable to answer basic questions about RTO logistics.
Some state employees have discussed that this is their number one quality-of-life issue and may galvanize them to start engaging with media contacts and spread the hypocrisy on social media. Their goal is to highlight the glaring mismatch and hypocrisy between CA’s proud public policies and the actual reality of choices being made by this Administration. Quite frankly, I fear that this may hurt the Governor and other State Leaders in the future. By unilaterally imposing an arbitrary RTO mandate across the board, the Administration is actively choosing to make working class public servant’s lives worse off, so I understand my colleague’s sentiments.
As MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow recently stated to her own bosses, “Hearing legitimate criticism, responding to it and correcting course. Not digging in, not blaming others. Take a minute, acknowledge that maybe it wasn’t the right call. It is a sign of strength, not weakness, to acknowledge when you are wrong.”
To reiterate, my request is simple: Encourage the Governor to rescind the arbitrary, mandatory, one-size-fits-all, chaotic RTO mandate. Allow individual Unit Managers the flexibility to enact telework policies that best meet their team’s needs to effectively carry out the Department’s mission. They are the ones closest to the work and the ones most knowledgable about what the team needs to succeed.
I respectfully request a response within ten business days.
Respectfully yours,
_________

2024.04.26 15:29 NoDontClickOnThat Warren Buffett Built Berkshire. What Happens When He’s No Longer There? - Barron's on MSN

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/savingandinvesting/warren-buffett-built-berkshire-what-happens-when-he-s-no-longer-there/ar-AA1nGYvR
Story by Andrew Bary
Warren Buffett will be at center stage, as usual, during Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting. But investors are increasingly looking for clues on what the company will be like when the longstanding CEO and chairman is no longer running it.
Berkshire could come under pressure to break itself up when the world’s most acclaimed investor exits the stage. It might decide to pay a dividend rather than amass cash, as it does today while Buffett, 93, waits for investing opportunities. Buffett can expect to face questions on all these topics and more at the annual meeting on May 4 in Omaha, Neb.
Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett’s longtime friend, business partner, and Berkshire vice chairman, who died last year at 99, won’t be at his side. Munger’s absence will only reinforce the obvious: Buffett’s time atop the conglomerate he built over six decades could end during the next few years. Even Buffett acknowledges as much, writing in November that he felt “good” but was “playing in extra innings.”
For some 30,000 Berkshire shareholders expected to attend the meeting, the future will be the focus as Buffett fields questions for more than five hours in what could be his only public appearance of the year. Joining Buffett on the dais will be Vice Chairman Greg Abel, 61, likely tasked with the role of Buffett’s successor as CEO, and Vice Chairman Ajit Jain, 72, who runs the company’s insurance operations. Together they will answer questions small and large: Can the stock beat the S&P 500 index? Why have share repurchases declined since 2021? Can the company’s new management prove anywhere as capable as Buffett? Should Berkshire break up?
But really, everyone will be focused on the same thing.
“Whether it’s said out loud or not, succession is front and center on the minds of investors,” says Cathy Seifert, a CFRA Research analyst.
There is nothing like Berkshire. It has had an extraordinary run since Buffett took control of a struggling textile maker in 1965 and turned it into the world’s largest conglomerate, with nearly 400,000 employees and U.S.-centric businesses that offer one of the best reads on the health of the economy. Some of its largest divisions are the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad; Berkshire Hathaway Energy, which operates a multistate electric utility business that is one of the largest producers of green power in the country; and the world’s biggest property and casualty insurer, including Geico, the No. 3 auto insurer.
There are smaller units, such as NetJets, the leader in private jet travel; Clayton Homes, the top maker of manufactured housing; Benjamin Moore paints; Dairy Queen; and one of the largest real estate brokerage businesses in the country. Then there is a $360 billion equity portfolio led by Apple, which accounts for about 40% of Berkshire’s holdings. There also is what Buffett calls a Fort Knox balance sheet, with nearly $170 billion in cash and equivalents.
Berkshire isn’t run like other conglomerates. It is unusually decentralized, with Buffett leaving key decisions at subsidiaries largely to the managers of the individual companies. He wrote in the Berkshire “Owner’s Manual” in 2017 that “we delegate almost to the point of abdication.” Berkshire has a tiny headquarters staff of 26 with no corporate counsel, investor relations, or public relations staff.
Berkshire’s unusual strategy has worked. The company is expected to generate $40 billion of after-tax operating earnings this year and has a market capitalization of $880 billion, the seventh-largest in the stock market. The company’s Class A stock has risen to over $600,000 a share from $20 (there have been no stock splits along the way) since Buffett took over in 1965, and holders who bought the now widely held Class B shares when they were created in 1996 have seen that stock rise 20-fold. It’s one of the most widely held stocks by individuals, with some three million shareholders. Probably no other company elicits the passion and loyalty of its investor base. Big institutions have never appreciated the stock as much as individuals.
But will they continue to, once Buffett is no longer running the show? So central is Buffett to Berkshire’s business that four or five people will take over the role that he maintained until 2018, when he delegated responsibility for Berkshire’s non-insurance businesses to Abel and the insurance operations to Jain.
Abel is due to become CEO, which involves overseeing Berkshire’s vast array of businesses and likely determining capital allocation, a critical role at the company that Buffett has performed so well for nearly 60 years. That means deciding whether to use earnings to repurchase stock, pay dividends, build cash, or make acquisitions. Jain is likely to remain head of the insurance business, while Buffett’s older son, Howard, 69, a farmer and philanthropist, probably will become nonexecutive chairman.
Then there are Todd Combs, 53, and Ted Weschler, 61, who now run about 10% of Berkshire’s equity investments and probably will run the entire portfolio. Berkshire doesn’t say which stocks in the equity portfolio are run by Combs and Weschler, but Berkshire watchers think that many of the smaller holdings—under $4 billion—are theirs. These include Charter Communications, DaVita, Liberty Sirius XM, Amazon.com, Snowflake, Visa, and Mastercard. Buffett hasn’t commented on their performance relative to the market since 2019—when he said they were slightly behind it since joining the company more than a decade ago. We estimate that both are probably lagging behind the market since their tenures began, given the underperformance of some of their rumored holdings in recent years.
Investment manager Bill Smead, who heads the Smead Value fund, would like to hear from Combs and Weschler. “Not introducing Todd and Ted is an unforgivable sin. If Warren dies tomorrow, they are the stockpickers, and they have never answered or been asked a question at the annual meeting.”
Combs is a key member of the Berkshire bench and could be a backup to Abel as the Buffett successor or a potential successor to Abel as CEO. Combs has a good rapport with Buffett and has experience beyond investments as CEO of Geico for past four years and as a JPMorgan Chase board member. One candidate to succeed Jain as head of the insurance operations is Joe Brandon, who runs Alleghany, an insurer that Berkshire bought in 2022.
Buffett’s three children, Howard, Susan, and Peter, will be in the mix after Buffett’s death since they will oversee a charitable trust that will hold Buffett’s now 15% economic stake in Berkshire, which has voting power of over 30% because it consists almost entirely of supervoting A shares. The Buffett stake will allow the children to wield considerable power, at least for several years, as the trust will liquidate over about a decade.
While Buffett acknowledges that he has slowed down in recent years, he looked sharp at the 2023 meeting. He talked for five hours, fortified with a Coke and peanut brittle from See’s Candies, a Berkshire company. He showed command of all things Berkshire, the economy, and financial markets, both past and present. He is the last of a breed. Three years ago, there were four Berkshire directors age 90 or over—all longtime friends of Buffett—and they all are dead: Munger, David “Sandy” Gottesman, Tom Murphy, and Walter Scott. Smead says that without the outspoken Munger to prod him, Buffett may be more restrained at this year’s meeting.
That won’t stop investors from peppering him with questions. How long do you expect to run the company? What do Berkshire’s slowing stock repurchases say about your views on the stock? Can Geico, which has slipped behind Progressive in auto insurance market share and technology, catch up? Would Berkshire walk away from its Western utilities and let them go bankrupt in the face of wildfire liabilities? Do you think it will make sense to pay a dividend once you’re gone?
Buffett says he expects tough questions. “That’s the way we like it,” he wrote earlier this year.
“There will be more discussion of the possibility of a dividend at some point in time,” says Ted Bridges, CEO of Bridges Trust, an Omaha investment manager. Buffett has conceded that buying public and private businesses is tough now, given higher valuations. And Berkshire handicaps itself by refusing to participate in corporate auctions. The dividend issue arouses passion among many individual Berkshire holders who don’t want them, in part for tax reasons.
An important question, asked or not, is what will happen to Berkshire shares when Buffett steps down or dies. They may take a hit of perhaps 5% to 10%, as longtime holders cash out and investors worry that the Buffett magic will disappear. Buffett, though, has said he thinks the stock will go up on the day after his death as investors anticipate a value-enhancing corporate breakup.
There’s a case to be made for a breakup. It’s the world’s biggest conglomerate at a time when conglomerates have fallen out of favor, with the likes of General Electric and United Technologies having broken up in recent years. For all of Buffett’s investment acumen and business smarts, Berkshire stock is about even with the S&P 500 as measured by total return over the past 10 years and 20 years, Bloomberg calculations show. The stock has returned 12.4% annually over the past 10 years, against 12.5% for the S&P 500. Buffett has said that Berkshire needs to top it over time or investors should consider looking elsewhere.
All the massive outperformance came in Buffett’s first 40 years at the helm, when the company was smaller and Buffett had a particularly hot investment hand, scooping up big stakes in companies like Coca-Cola and American Express at cheap prices. Size, too, is an impediment to outsize returns.
Buffett hasn’t had a lot of new winners in the past decade. The company’s largest acquisition—the 2016 purchase of Precision Castparts for $33 billion—has been a bust. Buffett has had some misses in the stock market, selling a group of financial stocks including Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase in 2020 and 2021 at about half their current prices. Of course, Apple has been a huge win with Berkshire’s stake, now worth over $150 billion, compared with a cost of around $30 billion. But the iPhone giant is having a rough 2024, and its stock is down more than10% year to date.
Berkshire shares look like a good bet to match or beat the S&P 500 even after Buffett leaves the scene. The stock now looks appealing, valued at 1.5 times its projected March 31 book value of nearly $400,000 per Class A share and for 22 times estimated 2024 earnings. (Berkshire is due to report its first-quarter results on May 4.) Berkshire is slightly expensive relative to its five-year average of 1.4 times book value. The stock is ahead of the market this year and over the past five years.
Book value is an old-fashioned valuation measure but is still relevant for Berkshire because of its large insurance operations—insurers still get valued on book—and because it has been a historical yardstick for the company since Buffett took over.
Buffett chooses to focus on intrinsic value but doesn’t disclose his estimate of that figure. Buffett has said that book value is a greatly understated proxy for intrinsic value, although share repurchases at current prices do reduce book value, somewhat undercutting the use of that measurement.
Post Buffett, Berkshire’s stock is likely to be supported by steady growth in its earnings and shareholder equity over time. The company appears capable of high-single-digit annual growth in book value based on $40 billion of operating income after taxes and gains in the $360 billion equity portfolio. If the stock keeps pace with the growth in book value, it could show similar share price growth.
A dividend is a good bet within a few years of Buffett’s death. Why? It will help his successor disburse some of the annual operating earnings. Another reason is that investors won’t be so tolerant of Berkshire holding so much cash—a record $168 billion at year-end 2023—without Buffett at the helm.
Christopher Bloomstran, chief investment strategist at Semper Augustus Investment Group, wrote earlier this year that Berkshire stock could generate a 10% to 11% annualized return over the next 10 years, with annual share buybacks in the 2% to 3% range—above the recent rate of 1% to 1.5%. He pegged intrinsic value at around $720,000 a share.
UBS analyst Brian Meredith is one of the few Berkshire bulls among Wall Street analysts. He recently lifted his price target to about $722,000 per Class A share from $715,000. He sees improvement at both Geico and Burlington Northern. Berkshire is one of the most defensive big stocks in the market, given its balance sheet and earnings power. A market selloff could offer opportunities for Buffett.
Buffett is firmly against a breakup. He argues the conglomerate structure has numerous attributes, including tax benefits from the ability to quickly make use of any big catastrophe losses at Berkshire’s insurance companies. Buffett has expressed confidence in the company’s future, writing last year that “Berkshire has been built to last.” And the company’s Buffett-friendly 14-member board—including two of Buffett’s kids—is well aware of his views.
“Berkshire has been run with enormous transparency, integrity, a long-term orientation, and a culture of stewardship. It is run by the greatest investor in history. That’s the present,” Chris Davis, an investment manager and Berkshire board member, told Barron’s last year. “As for the future, every activist and investment banker will argue that in a world without Warren and Charlie, Berkshire’s unorthodox structure shouldn’t persist. I think it’s worth defending.”
Whatever the questions, Berkshire shareholders will savor the annual meeting, knowing there may not be many more with Buffett at the helm. As for the stock, many may heed the advice of Munger, who said that “they should keep the faith” rather than sell after he and Buffett are gone.

2024.03.24 17:35 JohnTitorOfficial 2004-2005 School year. The John Titor experience

2004-2005 School year. The John Titor experience
The post that captures the sights, sounds, and scents of a specific academic year. This time, we examine 2004/2005 in detail on the sidelines to see what made those years special. Hold onto your seats because I will be going into great detail. It's going to be a rocky journey! Feel free to compare this to your very own experience. Brace yourself guys!
August 2004
There's a pretty dreamlike vibe to it. Upon returning from Day 1 and Day 2, I noticed an unexpected abundance of emo people. Practically everyone wears a live strong bracelet. there has been a significant drop in the number of Eminem-themed clothing items and locker posters. I still see lip smackers. People are still in Sam Goody shopping for CDs at the mall. I get a Nintendo Gamecube and could not be more happier.
September 2004
On MTV, all you hear every morning is Green Day and Ciara. There's this weird challenge where you have to snort smart candies. I'm not sure why this was a thing. I sneak into Resident Evil Apocalypse and leave early because it's a school night and it's 12:30. Many students in class have an irrational obsession with Ryan Cabrera. It's really cold outside. It seems like hoodies are in style right now on everyone. A student fights my science teacher and knocks him out with a bat. He goes flying out the door like Super Mario Bros 3. We all have to do these therapy circles to discuss what we saw and "process" it. DSL is blowing up and hardly anyone I know is using dial up anymore. Tons of MCR clone looking people walking the hallway rn.
October 2004
Big scandal at school results in the dismissal of my principle. He gets punched in the face by a pupil in front of the school assembly. The Ashlee Simpson fiasco from Saturday Night Live is constantly played. Everyone is talking exclusively about it. I sneak in to watch the Taxi movie. "TAXI" is the worst movie I've ever seen, guys. In this, Jimmy Fallon was atrocious. People beg me to add them on MySpace at random. All of a sudden, Myspace becomes extremely popular. I utilize my computer class to learn the proper way to apply HTML code. I almost get kicked out for sneaking into Shark Tale. "Talking about the CAR WASHHHHHH" Those ushers at the cinema were so clueless.
Tons of house parties start popping up in bulletins on Myspace and I start discovering what the Grey goose is very quickly. Blue camera flip phones are all the rage right now. Students taking pictures of teachers is a thing. GTA San Andreas and Halo 2 both come out. People are obsessed talking about it @ lunch every single day. Someone broke into Blockbuster video and attempted to steal a bunch of them. Tons of people in study hall talking about Dragon Ball again due to GT Shadow dragon saga kicking up. I start dating this guy that works at the strip mall and looks like Vin Diesel. They won't stop playing Maroon 5 "Will be loved" on the radio. MAKE IT STOP GUYS. Halloween party at this mansion. A bunch of streakers show up and get the whole party shut down when the neighbors are caught snooping. Bunch of people get arrested as well. My school starts adding Wifi to the building.
November 2004
We do a mock election in class. Almost everyone votes for Kerry. That Mosh song from Eminem is everyone's ring tone. Bush wins and pisses everyone off. Nintendo DS comes out. Initially I hate it. I go with my friend to Best Buy at the mall to pick one up. T-Mobile sidekick phones start blowing up. I break up with Vin Diesel guy and start dating this guy Dak from a town over. Tons of Nightmare before Christmas stuff being sold at Hot Topic now. That stupid Nelly/Tim McGraw song won't get off my TV guys...Over and over and over and over and over again. Smackdown vs Raw comes out for PS2 and we are going crazy playing it. Carson Daly is back hosting MTV TRL for the time being. I get a black Dell PC at Circuit City and it is so fast guys! Literally winged hair cuts are everywhere right now.
December 2004
Myspace is banned from the school computers. We start using proxy sites but they find out about those as well lol. Tanning salons start popping off hard. Literally 5 new tanning salons appear in my town. Everyone looking orange as hell. People in class won't shut up about Laguna Beach and One Tree Hill. I give up and end up watching it. NYE party was so insane. It was basically hosted on top of a roof top. I remember everything was Ice related. Like the stairs and floor looked like ice.
January 2005
Dak accuses me of cheating during a heated argument we have on AOL Aim, even though I was actually asleep at home. Apparently, I was set up by a jealous friend of mine who couldn't stand to watch him with someone else. My cousin invites me to WWE Raw. I end up screaming at Batista and I ask Randy Orton for his number at ringside.
February 2005
Huge Super bowl party fiasco. Rival foot ball team from a town over crashes the party. They kick down the door and start beating the crap out everyone. Police come an arrest half the people. 80s week at school. Everyone dressing like it's 1985!
March 2005
50 Cent's new album comes out and has people skipping school. I never want to hear candy shop ever again. Dudes in the hallway with Drop it like it's hot as their ring tone. I get a PSP and I am blown away. Literally PS2 graphics on a handheld. DESKTOP quality browser as well...WHAT? Yeah I kind of stop using my laptop for a bit because of this lol.
April 2005
I play a prank on everyone that I am moving and that this week will be my last day of school. Literally everyone believes it. I never hear the end of it...people were PISSED. They had all signed my backpack and everything lol.
May 2005
Hype for Star Wars Episode III is at a fever pitch. People dressing up like Darth vader to class...idiots...lol. We Belong Together by Mariah Carey is literally played on the school speaker every single morning....make it stop guys! The school secretary was a huge Mariah fan if you couldn't tell. Stupid people putting their away message on aim to "this ish is bananas". I start using MSN messenger heavily right now. You can SEND PICTURES AND DO VIDEO WHAT?

June 2005
Tons of Batman shirts coming out of the woodwork due to Batman Begins. A kid from class falls through the roof of the school and glass shatters everywhere in my health class. On some Mission Impossible ish. He ends up getting suspended for 3 days and we all laugh about it. We do a school prank where we glue all the textbooks to the floor. My friend Camille starts singing at the dance and embarrassed herself by throwing up all over her rented dress.

Microsoft protecting me.... from Microsoft? ;)
Hi gang!
Edge refusing Microsoft's add-on
I consider myself a bit of a "Microsoftie", meaning that I put certain faith in the company and its services. My former MSN/Hotmail now Microsoft account is years old and heavily used. I'm honestly a fan of Microsoft 365 for example. Ever read their code of conduct? Ever compared the default privacy settings of the old Windows Phone against, say, an iPhone? I have.
So when I discovered this plugin (while using Opera, which is my default browser) I figured I'd just grab it with Edge, which I also keep around. I basically use 2 browsers side by side.
But when I saw this... I couldn't help but grin. Here is Microsoft ... "protecting" me from .. Microsoft? ;)
Translation: the warning you see tells me that Edge has disabled the plugin which I previously enabled. Which is coming from Microsoft.
But honestly? I may be poking a bit of fun right now, but it's actually good to know that if some shady crap leaves the Microsoft studios for whatever reason then our software won't "just" embace it.
Still think this was funny though! ;)
Thanks for reading!
(edit) => PS: And a thank you to the mods as well for helping me out with my wrong flair!

2024.03.16 00:12 NoDontClickOnThat Berkshire Bought Back About $2.3 Billion in Stock - Barron's on MSN

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/topstocks/berkshire-bought-back-about-23-billion-in-stock/ar-BB1jYwLc
Story by Andrew Bary
Berkshire Hathaway bought back about $2.3 billion in stock in the first quarter through March 6, based on a Barron’s calculation from information in the company’s proxy statement released late Friday.
The company repurchased about 3,800 Class A shares (with Class B stock buybacks converted to an equivalent amount of Class A shares) from year-end 2023 through March 6.
The $2.3 billion of repurchases marks a pickup from the $2.2 billion of stock that Berkshire repurchased in the fourth quarter and could mean $3 billion or more of buybacks for the current quarter if the pace of repurchases continues at the rate of the first two months of the year.
Most of the buybacks in the quarter occurred from Feb. 13 to March 6, with Barron’s estimating that total at around $1.7 billion with about $600 million repurchased in the first six weeks of the quarter.
Investors watch the pace of Berkshire’s buybacks as an indication of whether Buffett views the stock as cheaply valued since he determines the pace of repurchases and has said repeatedly that he is price conscious.
Berkshire stock has been strong this year with the Class A and B shares up about 14% against a roughly 7.5% total return for the S&P 500 index. The Class A stock finished Friday at $618,133, up 0.9%, while the Class B shares ended at $408.13, up 0.3%
The proxy also discloses that Greg Abel, the likely successor to CEO Warren Buffett, earned just over $20 million in total compensation last year, up from $19 million in 2022.
Abel, a Berkshire vice chairman, heads the company’s vast non-insurance operations. Ajit Jain, who oversees the company’s insurance businesses, also earned just over $20 million last year. Buffett, who determines their pay, has compensated them equally since they were elevated to their current positions in 2018.
Berkshire continues to operate differently from other big companies on executive pay.
For starters, Buffett is paid a salary of $100,000 a year with no bonus—a level of compensation he has received for over 35 years. The proxy states that he doesn’t want an increase in pay.
He may be the only major CEO who reimburses the company for minor items such as phone calls and postage that are personal in nature. He reimbursed Berkshire $50,000 for those incidental expenses in 2023, in keeping with payments in past years.
Berkshire spent over $300,000 on Buffett’s personal security last year, which is counted as compensation. But that is a fraction of companies such as Meta Platforms spend on their CEO security.
Buffett pays for his own personal jet travel on NetJets, a Berkhsire company, and the company doesn’t pay for cars or country club dues for executives.
Buffett hates parting with Berkshire Hathaway stock, viewing every share as precious, and doesn’t grant stock compensation to executives or any employees. The company states emphatically in the proxy: “Berkshire never intends to use Berkshire stock in compensating employees.”
Berkshire lets Buffett set the compensation for Abel and Jain, and the proxy states the factors Buffett uses “typically are subjective.” There are no incomprehensible formulas like there are at most public companies. And Berkshire doesn’t use compensation consultants in setting executive pay.
Both Buffett and Charlie Munger, the Berkshire vice chairman who died at 99 in late 2023, dislike consultants of all kinds. Munger once said that he would rather “throw an asp down my shirt front” than hire one.
Buffett once said that if Berkshire uses pay consultants after his death, he will rise from his grave in anger. Their view has been that companies use pay consultants to inflate executive compensation.

but yeah, be on the lookout for nasty blackmail emails, this one had a password I've previously used, I think it was at Armor Games where they had a data breach, I was notified at the time by Armor Games and we all had to change our passwords,
the breach comes up for my email address when I check it on:

Hello pervert,

I want to inform you about a very bad situation for you.
However, you can benefit from it, if you will act wisely.

I am aware : ************ is one of your password. Lets ge= t directly to the point.

Have you heard of Pegasus?
This is a spyware program that installs on computers and smartphones and al= lows hackers to monitor the activity of device owners.
It provides access to your webcam, messengers, emails, call records, etc. I= t works well on Android, iOS, and Windows.
I guess, you already figured out where I'm getting at.

It's been a few months since I installed it on all your devices because you= were not quite choosy about what links to click on the internet.
During this period, I've learned about all aspects of your private life, bu= t one is of special significance to me.

I've recorded many videos of you jerking off to highly controversial porn v= ideos.
Given that the "questionable" genre is almost always the same, I = can conclude that you have sick perversion.

I doubt you'd want your friends, family and co-workers to know about it. Ho= wever, I can do it in a few clicks.

Every number in your contact book will suddenly receive these videos - on W= hatsApp, on Telegram, on Skype, on email - everywhere.
It is going to be a tsunami that will sweep away everything in its path, an= d first of all, your former life.

Don't think of yourself as an innocent victim. No one knows where your perv= ersion might lead in the future, so consider this a kind of deserved punish= ment to stop you.

Better late than never.
I'm some kind of God who sees everything.
However, don't panic. As we know, God is merciful and forgiving, and so do = I.
But my mercy is not free.

Once I receive confirmation of the transaction, I will permanently delete a= ll videos compromising you, uninstall Pegasus from all of your devices, and= disappear from your life. You can be sure - my benefit is only money.
Otherwise, I wouldn't be writing to you, but destroy your life without a wo= rd in a second.

I'll be notified when you open my email, and from that moment you have exac= tly 48 hours to send the money.

2024.02.06 18:56 TeamCloaked Using Cloaked to: Clean up your personal email addresses

Got a few too many emails?

Still have your old childhood email address? Something so bad you just don’t want to share? Or so cringe you’d rather not be known from your MSN days? Not quite sure you want to give up that old email just yet?
Or are you simply using 5 emails to manage different types of accounts or communications?

Cloaked can trim you down to one

Not to worry! Cloaked has you covered! For the emails you want to sunset, you can take some pretty easy steps:

Replacing your account details with Cloaked ones

With Cloaked you can automate replacing your old email addresses and details with AutoCloak which will automatically login to your existing accounts and update them with Cloaked details. Giving you more time to enjoy your day without worrying about account updates.
If you want to update your accounts manually you can do this with Cloaked as well! This can be done manually via the Cloaked Desktop Dashboard or App or using the Cloaked Extension. You can find out more about how to do this here.
Now you're clean!
You can go ahead and stop checking the sunsetted emails, or maybe keep [babychildbaby22@hotmail.com](mailto:babychildbaby22@hotmail.com) about for nostalgia! Maybe check it once in a while but you rest easy knowing you no longer have to cringe when giving out your email address!
Best of all you’re in control of your email and who has it (or not). Reducing your online footprint and taking back your privacy online!

Why does this matter?

If you don't Cloak your personal info, it provides several vectors of vulnerability:

2024.02.02 19:08 hey_Mom_watch_this Please state the version of Outlook and the device you're accessing it with in questions.

There are multiple versions of Outlook:
Outlook for Windows or Mac, Outlook.com, Outlook Web App
they can be accessed on a desktop, laptop a mobile device such as smartphone or tablet, even an Xbox is hooked up to the internet.
there are different operating systems, for pc's and mobile devices, there are also third party email clients,
even email addresses can have different domains; outlook.com hotmail.com hotmail.co.uk live.com msn.com etc.
the more detail in the initial question increases the likelihood of a useful answer,
if the question is network related, such as laggy response or possible outages then a generalised location might be helpful, such as City/State/USA or City/County/UK

Found in a Native American Kitch Jar At a Thrift Store
I found this inside one of those cheap "Navajo" jars that's actually made in China. My favorite part is that one of these two cared enough to not only print out this Hotmail message, but to date it as well. A twenty year old "will they, won't they" frozen in time.
I wonder if Teddy and Tammy got back together.

I’ll try to keep this as brief and to the point as possible. I’ll preface all of this by saying I am a reformed cheating asshole. I know that I fucked up.
Lets start with the backstory. I met my wife in HS. We dated for three years, but broke it off in the middle of senior year. We stayed broken up for a little over a year. During that year I dated a little, fooled around a little, hooked up with a couple girls but mostly hung out with friends. Nothing serious. We got back together and everything was great.
At 21 we had our first child and got married. My daughter changed my life. I went from nerdy video game slacker to highly ambitious IT professional overnight. I found a great job, got promoted quickly and started to travel for work. At 24 we had our second child. Prior to kids our sex life was pretty great, anywhere from 2 to 5 times a week. But after the second one it was maybe once every other month, usually less. I met someone that worked at one of the locations I traveled to. Similar situation; young, married with kids, no sex. It started innocent, as it always does, but eventually we decided we loved our spouses but still needed sex. And rather than run the risk of getting emotionally involved, we would just have sex when I was in town. When I wasn’t in town, we’d talk like friends/co-workers and flirt lightly but that’s it. But a relationship like this allowed us both to open up to some sexual kinks we’d never shared with our spouses and the kinda stuff I didn’t get to do when I was single for a year. We did this for about a year and a half, which ended up being about 6 visits. We both decided that while it was nice to have kinky no strings sex, we should really re-focus our energy on trying to fix our sexless marriages.
And I did. I completely put all my energy into rekindling the fire of passion in my marriage. It didn’t really work, but everything outside of the bedroom is perfect so I decided that I was ok with very little sex because she is an amazing woman and I don’t want to break up a great family just because I'm not getting sex. I also made a vow to stay faithful, which I did.
Then about two years ago my wife found a video on the laptop of me and my secret sex buddy. I came clean about everything, admitted I was wrong and vowed to prove that I'm worth trusting. She had some requirements that I accepted without question. I stopped hanging out with friends, stopped playing any and all video games, no longer chatted on MSN with friends, very limited time on the internet, switched jobs, helped out more around the house, let her have full access to my email, etc. Basically I decided that I would cut out everything that could be a distraction from rebuilding trust.
It’s two years later and I’m confused. I've been faithful for more than 3 years now and done everything asked of me and more. I've made such major changes in my life and who I am to prove that I can be trusted. But its made very little difference. Still almost no sex, and she is very very mistrusting still. She can have a facebook but I cant. She can go out with friends occasionally but I cant. I can play a video game but only if it has no online/chat component. We did counseling for about 6 months, and the therapist did say she saw improvements and that I was making a serious effort to prove my trustworthiness and unlikely to cheat again. My wife didn't like sharing details of our life and felt it wasn't "helping".
Recent a girl I knew in HS contacted me and made it very clear she’d be interested in a sex only relationship. I told her no, but it made me start to wonder how much punishment should I endure? I feel that ive tried as hard as I can, and I want it to get better. But I refuse to spend the next 70 years apologizing and walking around with my tail between my legs. But I also don’t want to be a weekend only dad, that would kill me. And I still very very much love my wife. I just don’t know what to do.
tl;dr - Caught cheating 2 years ago, spent 2 years working hard to re-earn trust but hasnt happened, husband doesn't know what to do
edit: thanks to everyone commenting. I really do appreciate it and Im reading all of them. I also updated this a bit to mention we did try counseling.
Relevant Comments
**Comenter:* Whatever you do, don't mention the girl in HS. I know you have to be completely honest, but there's no way that would help.*
Not to judge too much, but your life sounds abysmal. I seriously hope there are incredible, fun things you do that you just didn't mention. If not, you need a serious change to avoid resenting your wife, your child and the world in general. Given that, you need to get some sex from your wife. I don't know how to help you with that, but I'm certain there are tons of relationship resources online, in books, etc. that can help you broach the subject carefully.
Also, it sounds like a therapist could be of great help as an impartial arbiter who can explain to your wife, without prejudice, that the current situation is untenable.
OP: Things are improving. Ive been playing some more single player video games, and i love spending time with my kids which makes up for a lot of this. Part of this is that I'm so afraid of loosing them. Or being a part time dad. Or some step dad taking my place.
We did go to therapy for about 6 months, roughly a year ago. The therapist said it was very clear that I was committed to improving myself and our relationship and unlikely to cheat again. My wife felt it wasn't very helpful.
Update - March 22, 2010
Original post TLDR; I cheated and got caught, admitted my mistakes and worked very hard on myself and my marriage for 2 years while nearly on house arrest from the wife. However it has not improved and I was getting discouraged.
First let me say thank you to everyone who commented. I read all of them and they helped me more than I can ever say. Thank you, reddit.
What a difference a week makes. I came to reddit a mere 5 days ago, and the life I had last week is nearly unrecognizable from the one I have today. Wall of text ahead.
After reading all the comments last week, I decided I'm not a prisoner and things had to change. I made plans to go out with friends I hadn't seen in over a year on Friday night. On Thursday night I sat down with my wife to try to re-open communication. Let her know that I have needs and wants that aren't being met, and that if we are going to make this work then some changes have to happen. She is my partner, not my warden. She took it pretty well, and seemed to understand where I was coming from and recognized the huge amount of work ive put into myself and this relationship. It felt like a fairly major breakthrough. We even discussed picking a new therapist and giving that another try.
But there was something nagging me the whole time. A redditor said to me that he went through something similar, but eventually found out his wife was also cheating. Which explained the Alcatraz style lock down on his life. I don't know why but I couldn't shake this thought. I know my wife wouldn't cheat but she's also a reasonable person, so why the hell have I been on house arrest for 2 years.
After a couple days, the thought got the better of me and I put a keylogger on our laptop. I did this Thursday afternoon.
Friday comes and I am excited to see my buddies. We talked a little before I left, she was apprehensive but understood this is necessary to rebuild lasting trust in our relationship. And like Reddit suggested, I hardly had anything to drink, answered txts and phone class in a timely fashion and got home 20 min before I said I would as a show of good faith. My wife is in bed already but sleepily asks how the night went and I said it was great.
Saturday morning we discuss it at length. She seems genuinely happy and understanding, and I am beaming ear to ear. Not only did I get to see the buddies, but it appears that I'm making headway in my relationship. Win-win. And while I'm on this euphoric high, I decide that trust is not made with a key logger. It was dumb to install it, and will only create paranoia in me. I should also mention that while she has full access to my email, I have the same access to her email and facebook. So really it seemed that a key logger was overkill. I go to uninstall it.
Of course curiosity gets the best of me and I check the very limited 2.5 days worth of logs. Nothing jumps out at me; amazon, facebook, youtube, gmail, etc. I get to the end of the log and it's looking good. Until I see another trip to gmail, this time for an account I have never seen before. I remain calm, I keep an old hotmail account for spam/sign-up crap. I've advised her to do the same and only let friends know her real email.
Either way, I log into the new account. No spam. No nothing, its empty. Just a bunch of empty folders. Until I hit the "tax information" folder.
Now this folder is full. Full as in hundreds of emails. However none of it is tax related. All of it is to or from "Steve". I have a 65yo step-uncle named Steve, but this is not him. I dont know who this Steve is. These emails are graphic. Lots of what he likes to do to her and what she wants likes to do to him. Lots of "last weekend was amazing" type stuff. So after reading maybe 30 of these, I decide I need to stop reading them.
I made a new gmail account, and forwarded all of them to this account. Then I went back and deleted my tracks. I'm somewhat calm during all this. It sucks, but i cheated so I am now experiencing what she did when she found out about me. While forwarding them, I pay closer attention to the dates. This affair has been going on for a very long time. All the way back to roughly a year before my son was born. (or 1.5 years before I cheated). That hits me like a ton of bricks. What if my son isn't mine? What if my 1yr old baby girl isn't mine? I fucking lose it. I verify my tracks are covered and bolt out of the house saying I'm going to the gym. I sit in my car for 2 hours crying at the thought they might not be mine and how do I ever move forward. I have no idea how to confront her.
I head home and find her best friend is there. They have decided they want to go a movie. Im still in shock, so I just nod. I need time to process anyways. So I put the kids to bed and try to figure out how I'm going to talk to her about this. I decide to check her secret gmail again. She emailed him 4 hours earlier. She told him she'd have an hour after the movie to meet up. Check the time, the movie is done or close to it. I start calling her cell, repeatedly. No answer. I call about 10 times, no answer.
It's 1am and I'm sitting on the couch and she walks in. Surprised to see me up, asks if im feeling ok. HA! I stood up right in front of her and said I'm fine. And ask her "Why didn't you pick up the phone?", she says it was a movie, cant talk in a movie. And then she forgot to check it when she headed to the 'bar' for one drink. She makes her way to the stairs and I say "How is Steve doing?". Her face goes white. "Uh, your uncle Steve?" she says. "No, the Steve you just got done fucking 20 minutes ago. How is he?" I say. She says nothing. I tell her I found the gmail account. I saw her email planning to met him after the movie tonight. With what little composure I had left, I asked "Why didn't you come clean when you found about me cheating? We could have fixed this together.". She starts bawling and runs upstairs.
I follow. What ensues is the worst 4 hours of my life. She comes clean that she met him back when she was working, he was a temp. I again asked why not come clean 2 years ago so we could both work on this. She says she was too hurt by what I did and too ashmed to come clean. She said she told Steve she needed it to end and wanted to work on our marriage. And she says she did, but about 8 months later ended up hooking up again and it started all over. I asked why the prison rules. She says its because she loves me and didn't want me to leave. I explain that, while not right, I cheated because we didnt have sex. But obviously she was having sex elsewhere, so she didnt need it at home. So I asked why she cheated, because I know prior to "Steve" we had sex 2-3 times a week, and she came 1-2 times each time. She says he was relentless in pursuing her which made her feel sexy, and that the relationship was taboo, which added a thrill. "Do you love him?" to which she says no, but liked the thrill and the taboo. I could go on and on, I asked a million questions. Eventually I ask the big question, are the 2 youngest kids mine. She assures me they are. I ask how can she be so sure, to which her response is she just knows. Despite what she says she has no way, without a blood test, to assure me they are mine. I am crushed on so many levels.
I stand up, and head for the door. She stops me and begs me to forgive her and that we will work this out. I can impose harsh rules if i want, and watch her every move and she will do anything to fix this. I calmly tell her I have no interest in being a warden, and that I need to go for a walk.
I walk for an hour and come home and crash on the couch. Sunday was beyond ackward, I said very little to her. I studied my two youngest, trying to find my traits in them. Everytime i think id see something, Id be struck by the fact that I dont know what Steve looks like. Perhaps he has big ears too, and that's where my son gets them.
We talked briefly Sunday night. Despite wanting to ask more and understand more, my soul just wasn't in it. So we went to bed separately and I laid awake to the sound of her crying upstairs.
It felt good to get that out. Im not sure what to do from here. Part of me thinks that neither of us will likely ever trust the other. But the other part thinks that she could have left 2 years ago to either be alone or be with Steve. She gave me another chance, and Im a better person for having that chance. Wouldn't it be hypocritical of me to end this because of infidelity? Doesn't she deserve a chance to prove herself, and improve herself like I have?
UPDATE: I got home from work and she had the kids at her parents for a sleep over. She kept trying to get me to say what I thought or felt, and I kept pretty quit. I told her I didnt know what I thought or felt yet. I know I need to talk to her, but all I feel like doing is laying on the couch withs some beer and watching Futurama till I pass out.
She did eventually get me to talk. I basically said that I don't know what to do, but I think at the very least we need some separation and therapy if we are going to attempt to fix this. She was unhappy about the separation part, but I put my foot down. Ive lived trapped in my house for two years, perhaps Im not the person she loves but instead loves the idea of "us". She saw my point and said she did love me but understood that some time apart might help.
6 Months Update - September 30, 2010
Hello RA, It's been a few months. I'd just like to say right away that you all helped so much. WALL OF TEXT (as always)
Well it's 6 months after I found out my Wife had been cheating and a lot has changed. After finding out the first thing I did was get the kids DNA tested. Then I spent the next two weeks sleeping on the couch and having endless conversations with my wife. The more we talked the more I felt like the world's biggest chump. I had poured my soul into fixing the relationship and was wracked with guilt while she was out fucking some guy.
But I also couldn't see myself just walking away. She'd been in my life since we were 15 (we are 29). So I agreed to start therapy immediately and see how I felt after talking to someone else. To say the therapist was a bit shocked by our story is a bit of an understatement. This lady was pretty blunt in saying that nearly all of our problems stem from my Wife’s actions and she needed counseling just for her, in addition to the couples session. While we were in therapy I moved out and crashed with my best friend but demanded the house on the weekend so I could be with the kids.
My other ‘conditions’ were that she cut off all contact with ‘Steve’ and that we talk openly about everything. Any lies, even white lies and I would be done. I also wanted full control of the bills/budget. She complied. I never divulged that it was a keylogger that helped me find out what was going on, she just assumed that she had stayed logged into her secret gmail account and I didn’t correct her. (Asshole move, but I figured that since I’d been lied to for 3+ years I had the right to do a bit of spying).
This puts us at roughly 4 weeks after I found out and finally the results from the kids DNA tests come back. ALL MINE! That was such a relief that I can’t even describe it. It almost felt like I didn’t care what happened with my wife anymore because I knew my kids were mine and I’d always have them. And one thought stuck in my mind the whole time was “I can accept that people make mistakes, but if she loved me she had the chance to come clean about her mistake when she caught me… instead she put me on lock down for years. Who does that to someone they love?”. I just could stop thinking about that.
Therapy was going well, but I was becoming jealous and angry. Always upset. I was away from home all week and then on the weekend I’d tear apart the laptop trying to find out what she’d been doing in my absence. She was checking her secret email and Steve was continuing to email her but she never responded. That was the breaking point. She hadn’t shut down the email like I had asked and while she wasn’t responding she was checking the emails. Almost like she was keeping her safety net around so she could go back if things didn’t work out. Or maybe not, I don’t know. But I didn’t want to be an angry and jealous all the time. I didn’t want to be a warden.
The next day I confronted her and told her I couldn’t forgive what she had done. I told her I could probably move past the cheating, but the way I was treated was terrible. I explained how I had pushed friends out of my life and shut myself off from the world to work on ‘us’ only to find out I was being kept prisoner so she could keep fucking her boytoy. She broke down crying saying she’d do anything to salvage the relationship, but it fell on deaf ears.
That Monday I contacted an attorney. Fast forward 4.5 months and I have my own place, divorce is nearly final and I'm finally starting to feel like ‘me’ again. We are going for 50/50 custody. I’ve been reconnecting with friends and trying to find new hobbies for when I don’t have the kids. I’ve been on 2 dates because a couple friends wanted to double date, thinking it would help me. It was nice to meet new girls, but I’m just no where near ready to trust anyone. Part of me thinks I’ll just put off dating until the kids are out of HS. The kids are sad that we aren’t together but we keep all of this away from them. No arguing in front of them and no bashing the other when they aren’t around.
But either way I think I'm on the road to recovery. And feel free to ask anything, because you guys helped more than I could ever say.
Tl;dr – I'm now a pornstar. (no)

Germany will no longer block the sale of Eurofighter jets to Saudi Arabia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock says.
The announcement means a deal for 48 Eurofighter jets signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in London can go ahead.
“Saudi Arabia is a key contributor to Israel’s security, even these days, and is helping to stem the risk of a regional conflagration,” Baerbock told journalists in Israel.
“The fact that Saudi Arabia is now intercepting missiles fired by the Houthis at Israel underlines this, and we are grateful for that,” she added, describing this role as an “open secret”.
Baerbock also noted Saudi Arabia and Israel have “not renounced their policy of normalisation”.

06:15 GMT Hamas condemns ‘official silence’ over South Africa genocide case
Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri is lamenting that Arab and Islamic countries have yet to back South Africa’s call for genocide proceedings against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
“‎We hope that there will be a remedy, otherwise this official silence will constitute a mandate for the occupation to eradicate what remains of Gaza,” he said in a post on X.
South Africa last month filed a case saying Israel’s actions in Gaza were “genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group”.
As members of the UN, both South Africa and Israel are bound by the court.

Dozens of people are sitting in protest outside the Knesset parliament building in Jerusalem calling for the government to resign and for an election to be held.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has grown deeply unpopular in recent months for its failure to stop the October 7 attack and its subsequent handling of the war in Gaza.
Earlier we reported that an Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation poll showed that 64% of Israelis believe that Netanyahu’s performance has not been good enough after 90 days of war.
A second poll found that 46 percent of Israelis believe National Unity Party leader Benny Gantz is the most suitable person to lead the country, compared with just 25 percent for Netanyah

“My constitutional duty is to Israeli society and all of its residents, not to a government whose members and its coalition are calling for ethnic cleansing and even actual genocide,” he wrote.
In October, Cassif was suspended by the Israeli parliament’s ethics panel after he compared Netanyahu’s Gaza plan with the Nazis’ “Final Solution” against Jews in Europe.

03:10 GMT Health workers, patients forced to flee vital Gaza hospital: UN
The UN reports that WHO and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) staff visited the Al-Aqsa Hospital on January 7 where the hospital director told them most local health workers and some 600 patients had been forced to leave the facility due to increasing hostilities and Israeli evacuation orders.
Medical Aid for Palestinians and the International Rescue Committee also released a statement saying their staff had been forced to leave the facility, the only functioning hospital in the governorate of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, due to Israeli military activity.
The report by UNOCHA also notes:
Between January 5 to 7, 225 Palestinians have been reported killed and another 296 injured, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
On January 6 and 7, 116 and 102 trucks, respectively, carrying food and medicine entered Gaza through the Rafah and Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossings.
The WHO had to cancel a January 7 mission to provide urgent medical supplies to five hospitals in northern Gaza due to a lack of safety guarantees.

Israeli TV show celebrates soldier's jokes amidst the demolition of Palestinian homes in Khan Younis
As controversial videos of home demolitions in Gaza continue to surface, Israeli TV channel 14 decided to elevate the controversy, celebrating an officer’s jokes during home demolitions in Khan Younis. Officer Shovi Grozman filmed himself making an advertisement addressing Israeli investors to make investment offers for the area of demolished houses in Khan Younis. The commentators advised the soldiers to demolish more homes as investment needs more units and to have a contract term stating: ‘Israel won’t demolish again.’ The disturbing conversation ended when the anchor offered the soldier’s number for the investments and offered a discount if they mentioned his referral. Sunday, January 6, 2024
2100 GMT — The Israeli army is targeting the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza with drones, the Health Ministry in Gaza said.
"The Israeli occupation is terrorising the patients and medical staff at the facility by attacking it with drones," the ministry said in a statement.
"The Israeli drones intensively fire towards the buildings and areas of the hospital, targeting anyone in motion," it added.
The statement further said that the wounded and patients are fleeing the hospital under the fire of the drones.
The Israeli army's attempt to take the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital out of service constitutes a death sentence for thousands of wounded and patients inside, the ministry also said.

In the besieged Gaza enclave, the Palestinian health ministry announced on Saturday that at least 122 people had been killed by Israeli bombardment over the past 24 hours, and 256 others wounded.
Seven Palestinians including women and children were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli air strike on a house in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip belonging to the al-Nabris family, Palestinian health officials said.
That brought the total death toll in Gaza since 7 October to 22,722 Palestinians, with 58,166 others wounded.
Elsewhere, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, kicking off a week-long trip aimed at calming tensions across the region. Blinken travelled to Jordan on Saturday evening.
Earlier on Saturday, Blinken and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met to discuss the situation in Gaza as well as Turkey's process to ratify Sweden's membership of Nato, Ankara's foreign ministry said in a statement.
Blinken also said the US was working with its allies to see what could be done to protect civilians in Gaza from Israel's bombardment.
In Beirut, the EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, met a political official of Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah, Mohammad Raad, as part of a push to avoid Lebanon being dragged into the Israel-Hamas war.
Earlier, at a press conference, Borrell had said that the only way to peace was a Palestinian state, adding that the prospect of a state would offer a “horizon of hope” to the Palestinians.
Other key events on Saturday included:
France's foreign minister said that she had told her Iranian counterpart that the risk of a Middle East regional conflagration had never been greater and that Tehran and its proxies needed to end their destabilising activities.
Bereaved Palestinians reburied bodies exhumed from a cemetery in Gaza City. Hamas accused the Israeli military of "destroying 1,100 graves" at the cemetery and "stealing 150 bodies of recently buried martyrs".
Lebanese group Jama'a Islamiya said in a statement that it had fired two volleys of rockets at Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel. The attack came after Hezbollah said it had fired at least 62 rockets towards Israel.
Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked roads outside the British parliament in London, demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict and clashing with police who prevented them from marching across Westminster Bridge.
