First, let me thank you for taking the time out to read this. <3
This is a plea to help GYST House, a non-profit located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The facility was opened in the 1970s and was the first of its kind in the state of Arkansas. It is a long-term facility, as recovery is a long winding road.
The GYST House was founded by Gene G. (my father) and Jim C after both men found themselves caught within the jaws of addiction and at the mercy of a justice system that offered nothing but incarceration. Being "sick and tired of being sick and tired" and with no recourse in sight for others struggling, Jim and Gene, along with many others, set out to provide tools and resources to help women and men get their lives back on track. With a support for the community, a house was purchased and served as a base of operations for those seeking assistance.
Their message of hope spread across the state and, eventually, outside of its borders.
Sadly, we lost both men in 2011; they died 9 months apart from each other.
While they may have left this world, their dream still remains!
And I'd like to keep their dream going.
Unfortunately, the GYST House faced many hardships during and after the pandemic of 2019 and we have setup a GoFundMe to help.
These funds will be used for a much-needed repairs to the building such as the roof, plumbing, and HVAC. If you find yourself unable to make a monetary donation, sharing this post also helps!
Thank You!

2024.02.23 15:54 WildSpaceCadet The Gaslight Gazette

The Gaslight Gazette
I really enjoyed some of the posts I saw of GMs making newspapers covering the events their players' heists and thought I'd try. The players on my campaign are attempting to take a Gunboat upriver into the deathlands on an Indiana Jones esque adventure for treasure.

I’m trying to get a copy of a family member’s obituary that was printed in the Sunday edition on the 18th. Does anyone know where I can find old copies of the Green Bay Press Gazette? Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Thank you all! We ended up getting plenty of copies from a few different sources!

Found in Fairview cemetery, Colorado springs.
I live down the road from a cemetery that has some interesting gravestones. This one caught my eye recently, I really like the bear. His obituary is rather interesting too. https://obits.gazette.com/us/obituaries/gazette/name/barry-jenkins-obituary?id=8985676
