Pc games faq

I host an ATM 8 world on my PC, for my Girlfriend and 3 other friends. I used to give the game 24gb of RAM, but suddenly one day I started getting between 5-15 frames a second. I tried LOWERING the RAM as per Google Searches, but nothing changed, and it STILL Lags. I uninstalled a LOT of stuff on my PC, leaving 600gb free on BOTH my C: and D: Drives, and it fixed it for the day, but now its back to the horrible frames once again... we use Essential for the world, and now run off of 10GB, which is plenty, as I managed to host the game perfectly fine on the day my frames had temporarily fixed...
Any ideas?

CPU - AMD Ryzen 6 5600x 6-Core Processor
RAM - 32 GB, 2x 16GB Sticks
2TB Hard Drive
1TB SSD

I come from onward and VrCHAT but I do enjoy immersive shooters.
I don’t have a gaming PC and I’ve always liked the idea of Tarkov. With that being said I have a few questions.
1.is it encouraged or possible to avoid combat with players? I don’t expect to be able to sneak around NPCs but is it combat only? I don’t wanna have to get capped brfore I learn the map while also playing real matches.

1. Is the mic open? Like would I be able to hear or communicate with non friends ?
   
2. How is the recoil for shotguns if they have them?
   

I know these are probably silly questions and I’m dying to play but I just wanna know whether or not to taper my expectations

My friends are all able to play premier but I’m not quite good enough to play it yet. I never played any PC game before Valorant. Obviously with time I’ll get better but i guess my question is what can I actively do to improve my gameplay? I need to get significantly better with my cross hair placement and overall aim for sure. Maybe there’s videos or someone had an idea of what I need to be actively doing to improve in these areas. Thank you all!

I have a Mkza R12 and id like to play games like The Crew and Forza Horizon with my wheel but they don't support ir. I know horizon supposedly supports it but I can't get ffb to work with any of the ways they suggest and the crew just don't work at all practically. So is there a app or adapter (like maybe the Ras1ution) to make my PC arcade games think my Moza is like a Logitech or Thrustmaster? And have ffb?

Hey all I used to play the 1st halo combat evolved. I loved the pistol then they took the pistol away and didn't like the subsequent halo editions. Anyway I want to play the o.g game again and I understand that with MCC you get the combat evolved edition and can play multi player on it. What's the best way to play online multi-player. What console is best for regular good multi player games? Is it a dead game online? Is the game cross compatible with all consoles? Pc players on same servers as Xbox, Xbox 1 x/s? I've been away from gaming for a long time so excuse my ignorance please. Thank You.

Ok so that was a pc game that I played online at the time, for free, it was a story about a guy that wanted to become a knight but he wasn’t specifically strong or super good or anything. During the game you had to collect items and use them/mix them up in certain situations to keep progressing. I remember of some scenes, for example, he had to make his own sword and I’m almost sure that someone asked him to make smoked tuna at some point (in order to do a favor to him) and then we had to collect items to fish and smoke the tuna. I also remember that he painted a horse or a dumb with white paint, to look like a white horse. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Bought the 512 gb oculus cause depression and thought vr games take alot of space now figure not really and also iof i wanna stream i gotta buy the steam version of the game and download on my pc like tf.

I was playing a game that was pretty heavy on my PC and just left it running while I was afk. I came back and tried to do something in Firefox then my pc completely shut off. I thought it was just a normal crash but it didn’t come back so I clicked the power button and I have no power. I have tried unslotting and reslotting all the parts so far. I think it’s a dead PSU but I can hear the PSU whining a little when I click the power button but I still get no power to any of my parts and then the whining just stops. Any clue on what I can do or should I just take it to a repair shop?

I'm new to Ark as in never got off the island first playthrough. I was getting the hang of the game got my first couple decent dinos(spino,thyla,couple raptors, bary and argentavis) along with other easy tames. Laptop crashed on raft in redwoods(not sure if important) while playing however I had backed up my single player save to transfer to my gaming pc from laptop. Got back on and it spawned me in the sky above redwoods at lvl 1, no items, with long hair, and beard. I hit the ground and get dropped to half health and immediately get killed but can't respawn so forced to make new survivor does not show my previous save as a download. All my buildings and dinos from before were wiped as well as my progress (lvl 74). Does this same thing repeatedly whether online or offline. I started another character used cheats to get my progress back where I originally had it(game didn't wipe the map) build a raft get comparable dinos(lower levels) and work on getting back to where I was originally. Was on island base nowhere near redwoods leave and go to turn game back on again. Spawns me in redwoods at lvl 1 with beard hair no buildings, items or armor insta kill on landing force to remake new character but maintains map progress. Odd things to note. The game spawns a signifanctly higher amount of mutated dinos than previously like pink purlovias, bright purple pterodons, neon green ovis. It's heavily glitched in the pre-death from falling. I survived a fall and was attacked by dire bear decided to fight dire gear with bare hands knowing I'd die. Dire Bear barely dealt damage to me, and I killed it didnt go unconscious, I took more damage from punching it to death than it dealt to me. Creating a new survivor will only last until the laptop is turned off, then the redwoods fall death sequence starts over. I'm not running mods, and didn't use cheats prior to the first redwoods skyfall game delete. Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix. I feel like I'm inevitably going to have to delete and reinstall the game.

I grew up playing counter-strike on my Dad's PC before he left the picture pretty early.
I've always wanted a PC but usually only can muster up the cash for a nintendo console and just end up settling there. If anyone here has an affordable PC please reach out to me. Not looking for anything stellar, mostly looking to play older single-player games I've missed out on

So I'm losing my mind right now and I can't find any issue, it's so bad I have to create thread of my own.
As title says I'm facing issue of random disconnections and it seems to affect only games, other stuff that uses internet like discord/other voice chats, streams, music, yt, etc. doesn't disconnect. I'm on DSL (copper cable over phone line) connection, it's very slow about 1,3MB/s0,5MB/s, can't get anything better here for now.
Things I did (or were already done): Update OS (W10), drivers all of that stuff. Changed ethernet cable (I will check with another probably, but tbh what are the odds both cables are bad, plus idk if it's even cable). Contact ISP (they said issue solved once but at other times they say no issue, it's happening for months now). I was pinging gateway ip and google ip (8.8.8.8) at the same time and checked if there are any anomalies when problem arrives and there are none. Had "whatismyip" type of site open and checked if ip has changed, it didn't. No anomalies in ping and packet loss on discord as well. Flushed DNS, changed DNS Disabled ipv6
Now things get funny now because I have 2 PCs which are basically the same, they have the same components and only one of them is facing the problem. I tested both of them in the same game on the same server and only one had this issue. Issue appears as either full disconnect (kicked to menu, etc.) or lag/ping spike to 999ms or over that for a while (about 5s at worst) and then returns to normal. When it happens I can talk to others on discord and they hear me and respond. In few games when it happens I see other people playing normally (they're not stuck doing whatever they're doing), chat messages appear normally, etc. I just can't do anything during that moment. When I for example shoot during that my shots get.. shot as soon as it ends.
I haven't had any major issues like this with internet apart from bad speed and bad routing for years, this popped up about 6-7 months ago and I'm going insane.
Don't know what else to add, no wifi, no vpns, Sometimes it happens when I play game on my phone, sometimes the wifi loses internet connection despite it working via cable on PC, or my phone (and other phones too) get disconnected from wifi network, it's still visible in wifi settings but attempts to connect don't work, only after 1 minute or so it returns to normal, but I feel like that's separate problem.. I'd rather focus on game disconnects.

Do all law schools have incredibly generous testing accommodations? I don't want to say my school, but it's a top 50 school.
I'm a 1L, and I got straight A-'s my first semester. (Except LRAC, which I got an A in). I thought I absolutely killed it. My only thing was wishing I had more time to elaborate on some topics on my timed exams.
I found out this semester that ALL the people in my class who got the A's were people with testing accommodations. They get an additional 30 minutes PER HOUR. For a 3 hour exam, that's an extra 1.5 hours.
I have diagnosed anxiety. I take medication. I see a psychiatrist every few months. My anxiety is pretty well controlled, so I never felt like I needed to apply for testing accommodations even though I technically do "qualify."
I'm having a hard time not being bitter about this. Hey, maybe I just got A-'s because I am not smarter than those who got A's. But the fact that EVERY person who got A's also got accommodations is mind boggling. It feels like I now have a handicap and I feel pressured to "play the game" and apply for accommodations myself.
Anybody else feel me? I hate talking about this because I know it sounds very non-PC, but it's really disheartening thinking that I may never get A's with how things work here.

My main hobbies are drawing/gaming but it’s been awhile since I’ve been busy with work. My weekends are Monday and Tuesday. Down to hang out whenever I get off work and wouldn’t mind gaming and chatting for a start. Down for a game we can both enjoy casually, so no need for bragging or stressin'. <( I prefer voice chat and one on ones, till I get more comfortable with others. If it’s a game that’s hard to get lobby’s going then sur? )>
A weird yet normal person if that makes any sense. Not too knowledgeable on a lot of topics. I wouldn’t mind sending some music or memes through discord here and there. Here for some long term friends since I had to step away from my only irl friend since they were changing and I couldn’t help anymore. Hard to enjoy multiple people due to past experiences. I’m not very talkative to begin with, but I want to improve on conversations and make some new friends.
Personal favorite artist, movie, and games. Jack Stauber, Everything Everywhere All at Once, TF2, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. I 100% completed the game about a year ago since I first started back in 2015 when it finally released on the Wii U. I wanna try to 100% the old flash game too. (Got banned on miiverse back when I was around 14 cuz I wanted to make friends on there.)
There’s a general list of multiplayer games I’ve played on each platform that I can send to ya if you’re still interested. I don’t have a main game atm and I’m mainly playing for fun and just to hangout/chat.
Besides all that, thank you for the ones that actually read this stuff.

BEFORE YOU SAY WRONG SUB: yes i know im not asking about fixing issue outside the moonlight software but i tried asking it on AndroidTV with no luck so thats my last hope for a fix
I was kinda getting bored of my ps4 pro console and i wanted to use PC as my console and stream using moonlight so I bought chromecast (HD version) for that but theres an issue. The diffrent input lag between using controller on ps4 and using controller on chromecast is very noticible. On ps4 it was playable but on chromecast joysticks feels more "heavy" in some games.
Moonlight reported Nerwork latency is 2/3ms, and decoding latency is 7.4/10 ms. So the connection beetween tv and pc is not the issue here at least i think.
Is there any way to make it less annoying ?

Hey guys. I’m not sure if this is a 1.20.5 thing. But I’ve been playing the new update recently and I have a pretty high end PC. So running the game is no problem. And it is running smooth. But for some reason I’ve been getting weird lag spikes/stuttering every 5 minutes. It’s kind of annoying. Is this just a 1.20.5 thing? Or is there a certain way to fix it? I’m on Windows 11.
