I just did a run with Aspect of Pan, Zeus cast, Poseidon special. My cast was doing 270+ damage per lightning bolt during the Chronos fight. At first I was thrilled to get sub 17 minutes but when I rewatched the footage, I realized my cast was doing absolutely insane damage and I think it was probably a bug. The one thing in the build that sticks out, that I don't normally have is the Artemis boon called Silver Streak. My Arcana cards have 25% damage to enemies in cast, and the 5% crit chance on omega moves. I wasn't using Privilaged Status. Any ideas? I recorded the last biome once I realized it was gonna be a PB, and showed all the boons at the end:

Okay everyone. We definitely saw some amazing matches between song lyrics and the visuals at Phish. What songs in the D+C repository have the best stories, themes, ideas that would match with an amazing visual idea?
I’ll go first with an easy one: Scarlet Begonias

When I learned about 12th house placements, everything suddenly made sense. I’ve had friends who became enemies. people I barely know who try to take my ideas copy my art. i’ve had people who I thought were very close to me or people in positions of power who are meant to help me suddenly turn on me unexpectedly. Now that I know that I have a 12th Stellium in my sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in virgo everything makes sense. I often feel misunderstood yet for some reason there’s always people attempting to copy everything I do. I also have bouts of isolation. For example, I’m now in an academic setting and I’ve been studying for seven years. and academia I’ve dealt with plenty of people who have taken my ideas and publish papers. However, this trouble began way before adulthood.
For example, when I got older, my mother told me the story about when I was in preschool. my teacher would basically wear a clown mask and scare me and another child then lock us in the bathroom in the dark. The only reason why my mother found out was because the other child was having nightmares and the parent took them to the preschool to confront the staff and figure out what was going on, the other teacher finally let her know what our teacher was doing to us. Could you imagine doing this to a two year-old? growing up I had no idea this happened to me however I did have (what I thought was) an irrational fear of the dark until I was in high school and had to always sleep with a nightlight. It wasn’t until college that my mother finally told me this story. So then my fear that i did not remember was not irrational but deep with in my subconscious which seems to align with 12house themes.
When I was younger I often had adults who were suspicious of me for no reason. I was a quiet child and often very observant. I had a lot of anxiety because I could see through people in a way that others could not. At the time I did not know that this was the root of my anxiety. But now that I’m older, I know that when someone is aware that you see the parts of them that they are trying to hide, they become deeply uncomfortable with you. So this is something I often experience as a child.
In my dating life I’ve been a repository for broken people and often attract people who project an air of confidence, but are deeply insecure. I’ve had false starts and moment where I’ve stayed too long. And it seems in my dating life and with people around me there is often a projection they see me completely different than what I see myself. Of course this is not everybody and I’ve had friends who witnessed moments when people have done this to me. specifically people who are in positions of power I realize people were deeply insecure, will often see a mirror when they look at me they do not see me, but a reflection of their deepest Insecurities. This of course is both a blessing and a curse it seems I become a lesson in someway to those people without even meaning to.
I’ve also had bouts of isolation right now. I’m in academia where again I have to deal with people and their projections. Honestly, when the pandemic hit and I didn’t have to deal with people in person, my anxiety went down significantly, and I felt at peace. As soon as I was back on campus, the projections, the misunderstandings and hidden enemies surface. People who are supposed to be my colleagues were taking my ideas. One person I barely talk to you. I told them about my dissertation project and they published a whole paper. Another person who I worked with on on a different assignment ended up using my ideas for their whole dissertation. Anyways this is the end of my rant but do wonder does this ever get better?

Friend and his long-term partner have been living in Chicago for 2 years and leave to go back home to Mexico on Friday (in 4 days). I honestly just don’t know what to get him.
He’s younger (28) and likes to travel, has a Shnauzer, likes to try different foods, plays piano, has a few tattoos. Wife teaches piano lessons. They have house plants in the apartment as well. They don’t have a lot of money. I want to get them both a gift, but his is more important. Also, his plan is to keep singing Opera, of course, but hasn’t found another Opera house to perform at yet so his future is “up in the air”, if that‘s relevant. But he has a beautiful voice so I have no doubt he will find a new place. He is a Soprano as well.
Would like the gift to be something material he can bring with him (not a meal, tickets to a show/museum etc…) and it would be nice if it were something musical themed/artistic, but doesn’t necessarily have to be.
Ideas I’ve thought of so far: an Italian theater mask, a hand-crafted wooden pen with musical theme (piano, guitar etc), Ugg gloves or nice scarf (in case he ends up somewhere cold in the future), a nice cologne (just don’t know which one). For her, I‘ll get something simple. Matching gifts could be nice too. Price range is up to $300 for him and up to $100 for her.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, of course.

Hey all. I'm someone who loves fighting bugs and spend most of my time on that side. But I recently started getting tired of it and though to transfer to the bot side for a bit and help with the major order.
To that end, I'd like to ask regarding the use of strats to take down objectives. Now I noticed that there seem to be quite a few building that won't go down from just strats alone and may need the use of Hellbombs and etc. Just so I get a clear idea of it all, could someone give me a rundown of the objectives to be destroyed and which ones can and can't be done by use of strats? Thanks.

So it all started when I (36f) asked Alexa to play indie music and voila! Alexa played, “Trip to Paris” by Lana del Rey. It was a particular nice evening. My children were coloring, the wind was caressing the garden that we could see through the window. The house smelled of homemade food on the stove top. It had been a particularly beautiful day overall. So when the song started playing I was immediately transported into a whimsical moment filled with fairies, green luscious trees and as you guessed it, mushrooms. I felt like my house was suddenly the scene of a fairytale and the only thing missing was pixie dust.
That’s is when this insane idea came over me. I suddenly thought that my kitchen needed a theme! Yes, a theme. I already have tons of plants, monsteras are taking over my dining room. Why not collect cute little mushroom figurines here and there to brighten up the entire house. We’re talking about mushroom decor, just so we’re clear.
Well; low and behold! Once I announced my kitchen’s theme inspired by Lana del Rey. The mushrooms started pouring in. It started with relatives bringing cute little mushrooms when they’d come visit. Then my daughter started clay modeling mushrooms and how can I say no to her loving art.
Then mother’s day came along and I got mushroom keychains, mushroom shirts, mushroom decor, mushroom wallet, mushroom stickers. I have so many mushrooms I might be tripping.
Anyway, I love all the mushrooms and it’s really fun but we’re only 2 months in to my mushroom theme… and now there’s a 1 foot sized mushroom made out of cedar sitting by the chimney. What will happen to my house a year from now!? My house will be filled with so many mushroom things.
So do I say something or do I embrace this new mushroom era?

Heres my idea for an open world crime based action adventure game:
I want a modern open world game with modern graphics, modern physics, driving and combat mechanics, the whole 9 yards, but it takes place in New Orleans LA in the Early 2000’s, the game would have hundreds and hundreds of licensed cars, licensed songs ALL period correct and as many licensed brands as i can get in the game to make the setting more resemble real life, we’ve seen so many fantasy brands and fake cities and companies based off real life companies and i want to change that, i want all electronics of the era to be 100% accessible and usable in the game, everything from Motorola Razr’s, PDA’s, Laptops and The Internet in FULL early 2000’s style, Alpine and Sony X-Plod Car Headunits etc
Im going to say this now: there would be ZERO references or mentions of Hurricane Katrina in this game, the timeline would be 2002 to Summer 2005 before Katrina, Katrina wouldn’t be mentioned as it wouldn’t exist
The story is about a young transgender woman in her 20’s who lives in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, she drives a beat up 80’s-Early 90’s Pontiac at the start of the game and lives with her sister, at the beginning of the game nobody respects her, misgenders her and deadnames her, the idea is to hit the nail on the head with how trans people are treated on a daily basis, she progresses through the underground hustling ranks of New Orleans after being offered a job and proves to be someone who will go to great lengths to get the job done, everything from street racing in a scene that fully captures Early 2000’s tuner culture, winning cars in pinkslip races, shootouts from deals gone bad in nightclubs, encounters with corrupt police officers etc, at the end of the game shes a wealthy kingpin in the city and has earned the respect of mostly everyone and everyone speaks highly of her, i also want to slip in alot of little references to games and franchises i love like Earthbound, Clock Tower, Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Bad Boys, Need For Speed etc and make the user interface and menus feel like its from the Early 2000’s but also pay homage and respect to New Orleans Mardi Gras and jazz culture and for the world to be crammed full of life with NPC’s, animals, weather, random events, random encounters and interactions and basically how it would be in real life
The map i want to be the most accurate virtual recreation of New Orleans ever done just circa 2002-2005, i want as many enterable interiors in the game as possible, i want to include everything from Jazzland Theme Park, the Bayou areas, Lake Pontchatrain, East New Orleans, The SuperDome, the then New Orleans Arena next door, Shopping Malls, Car Dealerships for each brand in the game, Upper class Neighborhoods, Trailer Parks, Nightclubs, bars and of course the French quarter and Canal Street
I also want to take customization to a whole new level, give a Sims like ability to customize, furnish and build your home and character however you like, and of course the Early 2000’s fashion will be in full swing here, i want the most in-depth car customization of any game ever, its the early 2000’s after all, i want body kits, bumpers, hoods, wings, headlights and tail lights, the ability to customize the headunit in your car, put subwoofers in the trunk, rims, spinners, donks, lambo doors, underglow and of course in depth performance upgrades ALL parts be name brand, like Bomex body kits, TYC tail lights, JL Audio Amps, Subwoofers, Lowenhart, Lexani, Asanti, DUB and TIS rims, APR aluminum wings etc, i basically want to make the customization in Need For Speed Underground 2 look like a mobile game
And the car list, i want to have over 600 fully licensed cars in the game minimum and be fully customizable down to every single part, since the plot of the game starts in 2002 and ends in 2005, i want NOTHING newer than 2006 in the game
Cadillac Escalade, Hummer H2 and Chrysler 300C are a must, but i also want to have the 99-04 Mustang, both V6 and GT, Ferrari 360 Modena, Spider and Challenge Stradale, Ferrari 550, Lamborghini Murcièlago and Gallardo, but also include more common lesser loved cars like the Chevy Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire, Pontiac Grand Am, Geo Metro, Dodge Neon, Chrysler Concorde, Chevy Celebrity, Ford Taurus etc, and of course i’ll have bikes, boats, planes, helicopters and all other types of vehicles
Yeah its a GTA/Saints Row type game, but i want to raise the bar, push boundaries and do something different thats never been done before

So I've been barely involved in the EDH scene in a few years due to having my first child and not having enough time to get away for a few hours when others in my community play, but I've still been interested in the game and like to read about events such as spoiler season and overall discussion. I've had a bit more time recently and got a few nights in, which made me think it's finally time to throw in the towel and get rid of the collection.
Quite a few things are pushing me away. I'm only a few years out of the loop, but the number of new cards is ridiculous. I haven't had a game since trying to get back into it where I've known at least half the cards in others' decks. When I had interaction, I had no idea what to do with it because I barely knew what most of the cards did, and I didn't want to slow play by examining everything. I'd end up just asking what's the biggest problem, and my pod would be pretty cool and discuss it. But it made me feel like I'm just playing Solitaire and hoping whatever they're doing doesn't work.
Power creep seems to be getting out of hand. This is related to power level, which is also getting more and more stupid with my group, but also they're just printing so many cards that are basically staples for any deck now. Variety is supposed to be one of the best things about EDH, but when Esper Sentinel is everybody's best turn 1 play, it makes all the decks feel so similar. I have a lot of decks too, but I have a rule that I only get one copy of most cards for all decks so that I have more card variety. Others in my group have huge collections, but every deck feels samey. All of your decks have The One Ring? Talk about flavor fail.
Then last is my community's dynamics just changing too much. When I was a regular, we mostly played tuned theme decks. It was always interesting and felt mostly fair. There were some tryhards and others that didn't have a good grasp of the game, but it was really good overall. Since my hiatus, most new players are all power players and have almost maxed out the arms race. It's all combo now, and it's so boring. The last straw was when someone actually played Oracle/Consultation. I've always heard of it, but it was so generic and boring that it was never a problem. But there I was, mulling what to do on my next turn (and only like turn 3 or 4), when others were shuffling up for the next game. There was no joy from anyone, just cogs in a machine powering itself.
Not sure why I'm sharing this here. Everyone here is still involved in the community obviously. I just feel sad now looking at spoilers. I see some really cool cards that get me excited about building a deck, but then when I think about how I'd actually have to play it with anybody in my group, I lose all interest. I'm both sorry to see it go and relived that I don't have to punish myself with this hobby anymore.

Set the flair as question sense there isn’t a flair for bugs (if there was we’d probably drown in them).
I encountered a major issue when requesting companions to join me. After talking to them and asking them to come along, the game gets stuck in the dialogue scene and doesn’t end the conversation. I was able to “exit” this by pressing the trackpad but that left me unable to do anything besides move and sprint. I’ve tested this on multiple companions, seems to only affect the ones I’ve recruited so far and the issue as far as I could tell only appeared after the recent patch as I was able to swap Piper for McCready before it rolled out.
Has anyone encountered something similar and any idea what could be causing this besides Bethesda shenanigans?

Thinking of doing the 3 Fun Spot Parks and Universal Studios Florida. Want to do the Texas parks but they will be only the weekend so I'm saving that for early June 2025.

There have been an increasing number of juniors visiting this sub asking for advice about writing essays. Below are some tips and advice for making your essay stand out as excellent. Feel free to ask questions because I will answer every single question in the comments.
I know from experience that many of you are struggling to identify a good topic for your essay. Conventional wisdom says to start by brainstorming a list of potential topics, and chances are, you have already started a mental list of ideas. You might think you only have a few choices for topics, based on your activities or experiences, or essay examples you read, or the rough draft you already started (or worse, that GPT started...). I advise, however, that you put down your list of topics and back away from it. Forget that exists for a moment. Seriously - thinking about this initial list tethers you to certain ideas that might not actually be your best options.
Now you can begin brainstorming with a clean slate.
Start with thinking about what you want to show in your entire application, not just one essay. Every single component in your app has one purpose – to tell more about YOU. Filling out the rest of the application by rote and focusing solely on the essay is short-sighted and will leave so much potential untapped in your application.

It's About You. Tell Your Story - And Be The Protagonist

An admissions officer’s goal is to understand you fully, in the context of your background and the rest of the applicant pool. They will begin this with assessing your academic abilities and potential. Then they will evaluate how you will fit into the student body they’re trying to curate. All of this can be somewhat broad and diverse and touch on several institutional goals. But they will dig deep to find out what each applicant is like, what your core values and motivations are, what kind of student you will be, how you will contribute to the vibrant and intellectual campus community they’re building, etc.
Your goal with essay brainstorming is to ascertain how to powerfully tell your story in a manner that will fit these criteria. The entirety of your application (again, not just one essay) aims to showcase your abilities, qualifications, and uncommon attributes as a person in a positive way. Before you begin outlining or writing your application, you must determine what is unique about you that will stand out to an admissions panel. All students are truly unique. Not one other student has the same combination of life experiences, personality, passions, or goals as you do. Your job in your application is to frame your unique personal attributes in a positive and compelling way. How will you fit on campus? What personal qualities, strengths, core values, talents, or different perspectives do you bring to the table? What stories, deeper motivations/beliefs, or formative experiences can you use to illustrate all of this?
It is always helpful to start with some soul-searching or self-examination. You might not immediately know what you want to share about yourself. It’s not a simple task to decide how to summarize your whole life and being in a powerful and eloquent way on your application. Introspection prior to starting your application takes additional time and effort rather than jumping straight into your first draft. But it is also a valuable method to start writing a winning application that stands out from the stack.
You'll see the advice everywhere that all essay prompts are really about the same thing - you. The goal of each essay then is to showcase who you are, what matters to you, and how you think. I guarantee if you're on this sub enough, you'll hear the advice to "show, don't tell" when writing about yourself. But what does this mean really, and how do you do it well? How do you even get started on an essay that does this?

Introspection Questions

It’s often easiest to start thinking in terms of superlatives, especially those related to personal insights -- what are the most meaningful things about you, and what do you value the most? Here is a list of questions to help you brainstorm broadly before you narrow down your focus for writing:

• What are your interests?
  
• What sparks your curiosity?
  
• About what topics do you enjoy reading?
  
• With whom do you enjoy spending time? Who has impacted your life the most?
  
• Reflect upon “superlatives” in your life. What moments were most memorable, formative, enlightening, enjoyable, or valuable? What physical possessions, experiences, dreams, or lessons could make your superlatives list?
  
• Stop and think about what things, people, or circumstances in your life are really unique, fascinating, or outlandish. Are there any that really have a lot of "cultural flavor" (whatever your culture is)?

Find Your Story And Arc

Think of a small anecdote or story from your life that you could share that serves as a microcosm of who you are and what is important to you. It will massively help you narrow this down and find a gem of a story if you first start by thinking about your application arc or theme. This is the one-phrase summary of your entire application. It could be "brilliant entrepreneur who started her own successful business" or "talented athlete who wants to study economics and finance as they pertain to sports", or even "avid baker whose hobby sparked an interest in chemistry". It doesn't have to be related to your intended major, but it can help your arc be stronger and clearer if it is.
Once you have an arc determined and a story to share, think about what you want that story to say about you. This is where it can help to think of this as something you would share on a date - what impression does it make about you to the reader? Once you know this, start showing, not telling this attribute of yourself through your story. For example, instead of saying that you're compassionate toward others, you show an example of a time you were compassionate, then elaborate on why, and what it means to you.

Essay Brainstorming Techniques

If you are having trouble finding a story, or simply have writer’s block once you have picked your topic, here are some ideas to get your juices flowing:

• Stream of consciousness writing -- Start writing whatever is in your head, and don’t stop for 30 minutes. You probably won’t use what you just wrote for your essay, but it will help you find a starting point.
  
• Journaling -- Answer the prompt as if you were writing in a journal. This will get you in the habit of writing about yourself and establish comfort with the concept. It will also take you to a new level of introspection and self-awareness.
  
• Twitter X style -- Write several rapid-fire responses to the prompt in 280 characters or less. Choose an idea from these responses to expound upon in your essay.
  
• Read each essay prompt, then go through your introspection worksheet responses and connect the stories and insights to one or more of the prompts. Some students like using color coding to visually see how their different ideas might work together.
  

Why Essays Matter

Here's the thing a lot of people don't realize about college admission: it's not an award for being the smartest, most accomplished, or most impressive. It's an invitation to join a community. Far too many students think that if they can just show that they're smart enough, they'll get in. Yale even says right on their admissions website that 75% of their applicants are academically qualified to succeed at Yale. But only ~4% are getting in. That should tell you that they're looking for more than just top tier test scores and grades. To be perfectly clear, you will need top tier grades and (optionally) test scores to show that you're qualified, and the vast majority of my students come to me with this part already in the bank. But what sets the admits apart? It's personal insight - sharing who you are, how you think, what matters to you, and how you engage community. You can't just say "/IAmVerySmart, please admit me," or even "I did a cool thing guys! Isn't that neat!" You need to go deeper and show them your core values, personal strengths, motivations, aspirations, character traits, foundational beliefs, personality, etc. And you need to do it in a charming, winsome way that makes them like you and want to invite you to join their community.
So how do I get students to do this? All of my students complete that introspection worksheet. We go through it and find the stories, examples, anecdotes, conversations, memories, relationships, and other things from their life that will help us craft a strong and personally insightful narrative. We also make lists of the values, strengths, and key personal qualities we want to showcase. Once we have some topics, outlines, abstracts, or rough drafts, we talk about which stories to tell where, how to tell them well, and what details to include to present the best they have to offer. Then we refine, edit, polish, and enhance over and over until the story sings, but more importantly shows their heart and soul. We also go through all the other application components to ensure consistency, quality, and distinctiveness.
Here's why this works so well: at most highly selective colleges there is a primary reader (or 2-3) who will review everything first and then present it to the admissions committee, who then votes on whether to admit you. That presentation typically goes one of three ways:

1. Total enthusiasm, energy, and excitement. They strongly advocate for admission and paint a clear picture of how you will contribute to their goals and community. Everyone in the room picks up on that energy and is leaning forward in their chairs, looking for reasons to admit you. This is quite rare, generally less than 5 out of every 100 applications, even among those which are "fully qualified." When you do this right, you show depth, meaning, and valuable personal insights so the reviewer is learning about who you are and how you might engage the community they're curating. You come alive off the page as a person, not just another file.
   
2. Business as usual. You're another great applicant in a pile of great applicants. They share a basic review of the facts, your profile, stats, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Maybe someone on the committee finds something they love, and they really push for admission. More likely, not and you get deferred/waitlisted even though there wasn't anything "wrong" with your application. They just didn't love you enough to commit.
   
3. "Here's a stack of 20 applications that I didn't find all that compelling, so we won't present them individually, but you guys are the committee and you make the decisions. So let me know if there are any you want to talk about." In this case, unless there's a letter of endorsement from an athletics coach or your last name matches several buildings on campus, you're probably not getting additional consideration, much less admission. They will regret to inform you.
   

Everything we're doing is designed to help them get to know themselves, present the best they have to offer, and land in that first group. Having top tier essays is the single best way to get there. Get started on brainstorming in the next few weeks so you'll have time to get a few essays completed over the summer.

Themes

With the darkness subclasses being based on mental states, I took the ideology of the id, ego, and super ego to be the darkness elements. I took the ego to be stasis as you are forcing your will into reality and overriding the will of others. I understood the superego to be strand. Understanding the world around you, the complexity and the conections of it all, the restrictions and necessity of reality. That leaves the id. Desires and instinct. Fantasies and dreams. Compulsions.
Another theme that had to be included was that of opposition. Strand is about creation and void is about absence. Solar and stasis, while much more complicated than fire and ice, do oppose each other in more meaningful ways. Arc is all about mobility, energy, adapting, and change. The opposite would be complacency. Sloth. Giving in to your desires.
The last requirements would be to have anti-barrier perks and anti-overload perks. This was the simplest and could be flavored in any which way, with anti barrier having some sort of buff, and anti overload having some sort of debuff.
With this I introduce Soul, a form of darkness that takes the shape of a dark red liquid. Names could all use some work.

Verbs

Seeth (Debuff): Form of cc that has non-boss units attack nearby enemies. Combatants affected cant discern between friend or foe. Enemy guardians afflicted have friendly fire enabled and increased recoil. Reticles will slowly shift towards allies within ? meters.
Despair (Debuff): Prevents any health gain during affliction. Targets will leave pools of Soul matter wherever they walk. Enemies on the pools take damage. Strong against overloaded enemies.
Wrath (Buff): Weapons are empowered dealing increased damage based on targets missing health. Capped at 35%. Strong against Barrier champions.
Envy (Buff): Enemy accuracy towards buffed targets is reduced based on distance. Closer enemies are more likely to miss shots. Melee damage received is reduced.

Disclaimer

I was more focused on ideology. I have yet to refine ideas but aspects, melees, and supers allow for a lot of creativity of which i am lacking atm. If you have any suggestions, changes or anything let me know. Change the verbs or the whole damn thing

Hunter

Mind Tap (Melee): Throw a sickle. Headshots cause targets to Seeth. Bodyshots cause Despair.
Merciless (Aspect): While Wrathful heal for a very small portion of the damage dealt to Despairing targets. Despairing enemies killed will afflict nearby enemies with Despair.
Paranoia (Aspect) Dodging while standing on Despair puddles lets the hunter dissolve into Soul matter becoming untargetable, and gain heavy damage resist. Visual que shows heavy waves. While in Paranoia gain Wrathful. Gain 100% increased melee and movement speed. Offensive actions pull you out.
Hemophobia (Super) Explode into a massive puddle of Soul matter. Does increased Despair damage. Light attack throws Mind Tap sickles. Heavy Attack dashes forward dealing light damage. Dodge refreshes on use.

Titan

Menacing Strike(Melee) Summon a massive maw from your hand inflicting Despair in an aoe. Hits grant Wrath.
Indomitable (Aspect): Standing in Despair puddles slowly provides health and Envy. Powered melee kills while Wrathful return 90% melee energy.
Insurmountable (Aspect): Soul kills charge up a meter. When fully charged your Melee will deal 3x damage and grant damage resistance for a brief period.
Sorrow (Super): Whip around chains before tossing them at the target enemy. Enemy erupts in massive damage Seething all nearby combatants. After a delay the target erupts again, taking damage based on the damage taken during the super.

Warlock

Antophobia (melee): Shoot forward a cloud Despairing all enemies hit along the way. At max distance the cloud lingers.
Paranoia (aspect): Seething lasts longer. Killing Seething enemy kills release a Soul spirit. The spirit flies at the nearest enemy Affecting them with Seething. Shooting the spirit splits it once.
Being surrounded by enemies grants Envy. While Envious gain increased ability regen. Reaching critical health releases a Seething Burst
Harrow (Super): Coat yourself in Soul Matter and emerge in a different form. A centipede with increased movement speed and trample damage. Light attack stops you, before lunging at enemies. Heavy attack is a massive charged leap. If charged all the way gain distance and despair enemies where you land.

Title sums it up. I've grown disinterested with the middle-high school age cast that most anime tends to have. If anyone has recommendations on something with an older main character(s) that would be great. Scrolling through MAL trying to find something that looks interesting has been tough.
Most recently I've watched ReLife and Welcome to the N.H.K. I'm currently keeping up with Mushoku Tensei and am rewatching Great Teacher Onizuka. Hope this gives a slight idea of what kind of themes I prefer. Thanks.

TLDR: Their spam filtering is blocking everything I do, even asking for help, for no apparent reasons.
I don't know if I am experiencing some twilight-zone-level circumstances or what, but I just cannot get anywhere trying to register an account on Wordpress.org. Going through the registration form just leads to a screen saying my account needs approval which never seems to come. Days passed after my first attempt, so I reached out to the only contact point shown (forum-password-resets@wordpress.org). I got a canned response about how they're inundated with spam and moderating account creation, and a whole bunch of explanation about whether or not I actually need to use Wordpress. I have been developing websites with Wordpress for many years now and am well aware I don't need an account to use the software. However, I do need an account to participate in the Wordpress.org support forums where I can communicate with plugin developers (specifically one which currently has a couple apparently unreported bugs). The canned email response indicated I should reply to that message with an explanation about why I think I need an account. Specifically:

What you plan to use the account for
What question (if any) you intend to post on the forums/trac/github
What plugin/theme (if any) you intend to create

I wrote up the same explanation as above in this post plus mention of my desire to release some plugins I have written over the years and tried to send the email, only to have their email server bounce me a message saying it wasn't delivered due to high likelihood of spam. I tried to compose a new message to the same contact point, since at least that worked once, but got another server rejection message (spam). The email account I was trying to register with and composing the messages from is a company email, and the company doesn't engage in any bulk/subscription mailing whatsoever. The mail server domain is 100% used for very basic business use (purchasing from vendors, responding to customer inquiries, internal communication, etc.) so I cannot possibly imagine how it would be blacklisted for spam. I cannot even understand how anything about the content of the messages I composed would be triggering to spam filters. Nonetheless, I tried all the process described thus far again from my personal email on a totally different domain (and even without the VPN connection I typically use running to avoid any IP flagging issues) and the result is all the same.
So, what to do? I have even tried to compose another email, again from yet another domain and while on yet another IP, asking about the previous two registration attempts. I received a message saying those accounts can only be discussed via messages from those accounts. To which I tried to reply, "How can I do so when your filters keep rejecting anything I try to send?". I didn't receive any server rejection message thus far, but it's already been more than a day and I am afraid as soon as I try to send another message to inquire it's gonna get shot dead immediately like all those before.
I'm so frustrated. I can understand taking measures to reduce spam, but this almost feels like an extreme level of gatekeeping under the guise of spam prevention. I was even a bit taken aback at the requirement to report "What plugin/theme (if any) you intend to create" when simply needing to enroll to contribute in the forums. Why is account registration the place to also moderate plugin submissions? How are users who need support for Wordpress core or third-party plugin developers supposed to register? If they cannot, what's the use of forums which only have the devs themselves as users? I'm lucky in all these years I never needed to access the forums in anything more than a reading capacity, but now that I have a rather urgent need to do so it seems impossible. And this, as someone who could definitely make positive contributions to threads from users who do need help given my many years of experience working with WP core and countless 3p plugins.
I so very much hope someone from Wordpress.org might actually take notice of this and lend a hand, but if not thanks for reading my grievances to provide at least a little release therapy as I wrote this off my chest.

Hello fellow conquest enjoyers.
I'd like to leave some feedback/wishes for the game coming forward. If you agree/disagree with anything please comment!
Maybe I'm seeing something from the different view etc, and our beloved developers need all the feedback they can get.
Wishes and ideas for the future:

• Double-battlefield: This is more of a ''how cool this would be'' idea. What if you could enable 2 wielder battles for games where you are in a team? So for example, if you attack/defend a city while in a team with another player, the battlefield was double the size and you both attack/defend. There would probably have to be some more balanced version of that idea, but i just wanted to share it.
• More wielders like Brother Hillar: Which have a specialization that improves a specific type of unit.
• More factions/races to play: I love the diversity between the current factions. But sometimes i feel like there would be so much more depth in the game if you had 1-2 more factions to choose from. But this is absolutley quality over quantity, you wouldnt want to rush add a bad faction to the game.
• Co-op campaign: Would be really fun to play a challenging Co-op campaign with a friend.

Improvements/fixes for the game in current state:

• More detailed explanations of some spells, abilities, buffs/debuffs: One example i have of this is the description of ''Venomous'' on Banes for example. The description states ''Deals additional damage for 2 rounds based on the strength of its attack''. How much additional damage? I could always look in the combat-log and calculate but I'd rather know from just looking at the description.
• Bug/Crash: When attacking an enemy in a PVP match, if simultaneous turns are enabled, the game ''crashes'' or rather gets stuck on a ''waiting for opponent'' screen while you can't do anything. (Luckily we have been able to load the quicksave when this happens, which is a great feature).

I firmly believe the idea that these two are in fact Ghetsis's biological children.
Like it's a really crackpot theory, but when you think it kinda itches your brain in a good way:

1. Kieran and Carmine's parents are not talked about at all in the game, with the only SMALL SMALL look at their parents is at Carmine's room where we can see what looks to be her mother with her (Carmine) when she was like 2-3. But she isn't in any of the other photos. So there dad is up there in the air.

Kieran and Carmine are thought to be loosely designed around The Snake from the Garden of Eden from the bible. The "Snake eyes" that they do sometimes and their hometown, Mossui Town, being right next to a bunch of apple trees kinda leans into this analogy.
Interestingly, there the fact with Kieran's signature even being literally a dragon-snake like being in an apple leads into that idea... due to the fact the apple is commonly thought to be the fruit that Adam and Eve ate that caused them to do the sin.
This biblical theming goes hand and hand with Ghetsis being based around "The Devil in Music" with his hair having "devil horns" much not unlike Kieran and Carmine's hairbands and (later) Kieran's hair tie that he wears.

With Hydreigon having 9 "heads" (counting the 6 black wings as heads as gamefreak intended the player to) and Hydrapple having 7 heads (with only 5 of them being shown and the other 2 being in the apple). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Kieran, Ghetsis, and N were all villians at one point (& still are in Ghetsis's case) in Unova's history which would be unironic since King Harmonia (their possible ancestor) was actually supposedly a very peaceful king that seemed to be respected by his subjects.
Neo Team Plasma hated N as their former king, since they believe he was a coward for running away and leaving team plasma out to dry.
Ex-Team Plasma hated Ghetsis as their former boss, since they know that was a sociopath that needs to be stopped so that no one else to has to suffer.
The Blueberry League hated Kieran as their former champion, and only wished he went back to being the sweet and kind boy who used to have fun fighting.

Carmine's Xenophobia can be kinda be explained (BUT NOT JUSTIFIED), with the idea perhaps her grandfather basically told her to be weary of foreigners but didn't tell her why.
Maybe Ghetsis killed the siblings mom (in effort to protect her kids), and it caused their gramps to resort to warping Carmine's view on people in effort to protect her and brother from sharing a similar fate of being harmed by Ghetsis or any of sympathizers.
So when Carmine basically did her, "We don't want you guys ruining what made Kitakami special thing", she was just echoing what her grandpa told her, when in reality, he was talking about their mother...which was taken from him far too early in his life by an outside force.
That is most likely why when Carmine says these things, Yukito (her grandpa) doesn't punish her since he knows he is responsible for her view on life being like that. Kinda making her not as selfish but rather a victim of (perhaps accident) bad parenting by Yukito's fault. This would be a REALLY nice parallel to Ghetsis and N, and how Ghetsis warped N's POV on people and it took meeting the protag to help N see the error of his view point. Like Carmine with the protag of SV...interestingly.

It's kinda cool that Carmine shares connections with her "half-brother" (hypothetically her relative) in N with their view on humanity/people could have twisted by someone else.
Whereas Ghetsis and Kieran share a lot more similarities in their obsession with power and love of hydra pokemon. And the fact they attempt steal legendary from you, actually succeed.

Having spent a few dozen hours in the game & menu loading a save file that had 230 gold bricks……. I realized how frustrating this game was and the potential it could’ve had. I just am at a loss for words on the game. This game had SO MUCH POTENTIAl but had too much focus on the toys, & bugs or game breaking engine problems.
I haven't touched dimensions in a hot minute but.. really wish lego added more PATCHES before they shut down the game & wish it got its own remastered lego game without the toys…. or some version with a % meter & better save system…. Feel like if TT worked longer on it, they could have been better fixes with the game & the other lego ip dlc’s.
I noticed a few times HOW ANNOYED I was when my many save files from 2019, 2023, & 2024 all were gone….. on ps4 I just gave up caring and was disappointed even after completing it & saving the game to my console. so furthermore after I just stopped playing, not sure if this is a bug but was annoying.
Starting with the dlc's i noticed things felt off like each dlc was the weakest or too short for a game entry story, or more specifically the simpsons one recreating the episode with homer & the chilli cook off, of all the new story levels it was fun but felt weird. All the other lego film games got it down very well gameplay wise so, why not do a lego batman movie or a lego simpson's game? & have it's own game... instead of dimensions? ALSO THE PUZZLES THE COLOR PUZZLES THE KEYSTONES all annoying. DOING THEM EVERY DAM TIME I GOT SOOOOOO BORED… decent game, fun worlds, annoying locking content in it and no 100% to finish. Only letting the player use a character…. That was Dedicated TO THAT SPECIFIC world locking you out… is annoying also cant access mini-kits without said character… This is not fun TT…. but moving on to a few other things, did not care for switching the keystones, and using vehicles for every dam puzzle or ramp.
The best level was probably fantastic beasts & that could’ve & should have been added in its own lego Hogwarts FB saga game.
I enjoyed the lego ninjago game more then I thought I would, & the first lego movie game was cool just felt weird they put Lego Batman movie in dimensions vs its own separate actual lego game.
The movie scene cutscenes for each dlc were recreated in the dimensions in-game engine & had a fun charm to them. But at times was very disappointing as the quality difference is very noticeable. On the contrary, The LEGO Movie Game used movie cutscenes beautifully and it worked out really well. Could be a licensing issue, but if not I have no idea why they didn’t just use movie cutscenes where they could. I understand not wanting to release 60% of the movie in the game, but they could always shape it around the scenes shown in the trailer. The batman story pack felt like devs rushed it…. Not bringing actors back for discount va’s. Robin sounds like a kid in this dlc not anything like Michael cera. I can understand if they didn't get every one back for the game for rights or contract issues but just was weird. & newt or the FB story were interesting using new keystone & magic abilties. The ghostbuster ones were weird since I never cared for the movie..
There are a few differences like In the dlc levels, Batman is picked up by Alfred outside the power plant and heads directly to Commissioner Gordon's retirement party. In the film, he heads home and the retirement party is the next evening.
Some of the voice work is off. Many characters don’t sound like they did in the movie (I know they’re different VA’s) Alfred sounds nothing like movie Alfred (Ralph Fiennes), Robin sounds nothing like movie Robin (Michael Cera), etc. Other LEGO projects have had fairly good voice replication.
The LEGO Batman Movie expansion is all and all a success. It’s given us the best portal base so far, as well as the first expansion to give us 2 mini-figures which are both great. The game is great and funny as well as a decent length. The game only suffers from occasional bugs and terrible voice acting.
Maybe I just really disliked the keystone puzzles but I was really disappointed in it overall. The scenes were funny bringing in joker & all the villains, I enjoyed seeing the gremlins & agent smith from matrix & sauron’s eye but wish they made a lego Batman game not within dimensions.
If you want to play around in the LEGO Batman Movie HUB world you can access to the HUB world for maximum fun. Id say just try the hub level if you are interested but I felt bored with the lego batman movie game dlc levels. Sadly its REPLAY-Ability was a 5… compared to fantastic beasts and others.
imagine what they could've done with a full roster of batman's villains & heroes in a full open linear game with gotham, & sure we've had tons of batman games but just loved will arnett's version of batman. I really love will arnett so felt like dimensions needed more of that batman.
Too much clutter & focus on building vehicles when they aren't all that interesting or useful…. Switching from the ecto car to the ghost trap each time felt stupid. Even tho they fixed it in 2016 with the characters instant traps. Flying characters freak out when you are next to the edge of the map & fall off repeatedly or just stand there hovering… did NO ONE THINK about patching that?
I also understand this is not a typical lego game & the audience is for kids but at least try to juggle both demographics for those who dont want to waste time?
No percent on gold bricks collected, or the items…. Why couldn’t they added a save system where if you lose your file you can save & quit with the bricks you found why is it on ps4 ps5…. Somehow deleting the game doesn’t remember where you left off?? Was this a patch that they never fixed?
Also, anyone else find it weird that the courtroom from Ghostbusters 2 isn't in the world? They even have the whole Titanic, something that only appears for 30 seconds in the movie, but one of the most important scenes isn't in the world at all or hell adding more side characters or locations why not explore inside of a building?
Also X-PO talks too much, every line of him talking during hints. I've made the choice to leave the main campaign unfinished just so he can stay silent while I play other levels. In the actual campaign and cutscenes he's fine but they made a huge mistake making him react to puzzles.
The bugs and lack of polish ruin the game..massively this is a massively outdated engine and the more they keep adding to it the buggier the games get. I'd love to see a new one built from the ground up for next gen capable created of anything they can think of with some impressive graphics. When you look at the fidelity of ratchet and clank on PS Pro there's no reason this game can't look as good as the Lego movies or very close, it's just laziness and greed (lack of investment from WB wanting to just churn out content quickly on the old engine) even on ps4 its annoying losing your save file deleting the game then reinstalling It AND LOSING ALL YOUR PROGRESS!!!!
So many boring hubs, & races locking variety or enjoyment, too many hubs that had New York…ghostbusters 1980 New York, ghostbusters 2016 New York……. FB New York…..Lego Batman movie Gotham hub just looks like New York.
Characters like the witch newt Gandalf all have the same magic ability, not interesting since they all do the exact same thing.
The vehicles are very boring, not very interesting too small. Why is chima here??? Random moments that just feel weird the battle arena was fun but after a while I got bored.
Also, I kinda wish there were in game unlockable characters: Like if you bought the Sonic dlc, beating quests would unlock the ability to buy Amy, Tails, Shadow etc. or The Simpsons allowing you to buy Marge, Lisa, maggie or each of the ghostbusters, etc. with studs.
Overall there were a few interesting levels but could’ve been cooler if we got a lego Batman movie game, or a lego bttf game, or a lego ghostbusters game, yada yada..... & just surprised at it not being its own game instead of within dimensions. I know sadly this likely wont happen tho.. it disappoints me that the game is mostly looking at build instructions, back & forth again and again….. I am very upset dimensions wont ever be remastered added with better patches because what I had played felt muddied & not crafted well. I don’t mean to be so negative but it was weird having these problems front & center. in the end too many glitches & gameplay loop moments.

So I have a bunch of necrons and aren’t really feeling the faction anymore and nurgle seems to me speaking to me. I don’t play any games so I’m not worried about rules for them but wondering if anyone had any ideas on kitbashing necrons to fit the theme.

Can I ask for some advice about something? What would you do if you are in my place. my best friend let's call her Ruby. Ruby moved about two years ago now, she was going to come back and visit for graduation week and wanted the friend group to hang out like we used to, when i told her i didn't believe it would be possible she has continued to push for us to all hang out. I finally told her the reason that it would not work out she completely ignored me. Now the reason the friend group hanging like we used to won't work out is because this ex friend of mine who I'll call cici randomly after a school essay I wrote quite talking to me and started to spread rumors about me the essay was supposed to carry so sort of theme that means somthing to us so I wrote mine on how it can feel to be in the middle of a friend group that is arguing and not knowing what to do. I will copy and past the essay below the rest of the story. After I turn the essay in cici somehow gets a hold of it and spins it to sound like I'm attacking her and im bullying her and so for the month of February everyone ignores me which really hurt because I had no idea why as they just on day started to ignore me it also was my birthday that month and I had no one to share it with. After a while lila,Taylor and Sara realize what happened and apologized for what they did and I quite trying to communicate with cici. After I quite reaching out to her and trying to protect a dying fire my mental health improves to a point where not only I noticed but my teachers noticed also. Back to my earlier topic I told ruby that I refuse to hang out with cici because she has been treating me like shit and my parents won't even let me see/talk to her outside a school sanctioned event because at are very last sleep over before she she started to ignore me almost ended with me In the hospital because her brother threatened me with a knife and their dog attacked me because i used self defense to get the knife from her brother. During this sleepover cici's parents were awar of what happened and didn't tell my mom so after that I wasn't allowed back to their house. Even after all that I still tried to keep that friendship alive if not only because I cared for cici but also for ruby. Still despite all these reasons ruby refused to split her time between us and Is no longer coming. AITAH for refusing to hang out with someone who has betrayed my trust and put me in a dangerous situation just because my friend who moved away wants us to hang out together?
Here is the essay
Just because your friends are friends doesn’t mean they will always understand. A few days after spring break in 8th grade my friend Cici started hanging out with a girl that the rest of our friend group doesn’t like because she is mean and rude. So we told her what we thought of this girl and that she could hang out with her but we didn’t want to be near a person like that, however Cici did not listen and kept inviting her to hang out with us. My other friend Sara was starting to get really upset because this girl was calling her names and bullying her. This same girl had also left intentional bruises on my body because I told her I already had a partner in pe. Finally, after months and months of off and on fighting it was the last day of school. Sara had finally had enough of how the girl had treated us and snapped as she listed off all the hateful and violent things that this girl had done to me, Lila, Ruby some of our other friends. The girl then started to ball saying how all of us are liars and cici shouldn'tlisten to us about anything that we say. During this entire situation I stayed quiet and listened to what the others had to say, because I wanted to say something but didn't know what to say to fix the situation.For weeks after that cici and sara refused to talk to each other, until I finally managed to get them to both apologize. Then for a while after that everything seemed good. A new girl who I will call Tyler moved to town and we basically absorbed her into the friend group. Things were going well until about four weeks into our ninth grade year. Sara started to be exceedingly hostile the rude girl Cici had been hanging out with sense last year, Which caused fighting to break out. So then Sara started to distance herself from us to hang out with a guy who i also used to consider a friend i will call him jem. Now the reasonme and jem are no longer friendsis becausehe told my to off myself several times over the course of about two months.So as they are hanging out jem is also constantly flirting with her, so we make a joke that they were dating. This caused sara to explode at everyone in the group chat. When she texted in the group chat she directed all of the texts about it to Cici and when I confessed that it was me who was made and the joke she proceeded to say that it was Cici’s fault and that it “ IS NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT!! You know what I think of rumors and dating.” We all replied saying it didn't mean for it to be a big deal and we weren't making fun of her that it was only a joke. Sara proceeded to snap back “If we are in relationships with guys, it's not something to joke about. When other people believe it, then it's too much.” So in response Ruby answered with “You literally would make fun of me and my old boyfriend tim back when we were dating.” Then Lila added, “Yeah you make me feel like crap about me and Carl all the time and guess what you coming after Cici being a jerk to Cici for everything saying that everything that everything the "rude girl" knows and does is because of her. There's also the fact that when you tease and make fun of us we are supposed to deal with it, but when we do it to you we are rude horrible people." Sara’s only response to that was “You guys never said that you weren't ok with it. You just need to tell us, and we will stop. No one ever said anything, so we thought it was ok.” I responded with “who is the we in this situation, because I told people to stop when they crossed a boundary and that one of the only people who never listened or apologized for it was lila. I haven't even taken anybody's side throughout this whole situation” after I say this, Sara goes off again. “I'm done ok. Just leave me out of all this. Be your own friend group. I'll be a singular person, and then I won't have to be a burden to anyone. Sorry I was such a bad friend. Also I don't want any pity.” At this point everyone is annoyed and tired of this situation so Ruby speaks up again telling Sara that she is not the main character and to grow up, and that she started it. After this Sara separates herself from us and as a week turns to two weeks then two weeks turns into a month. Between all of the fighting, homework, sports, and everyday stress I start to become irritable and snappy because no matter how much I try to stay neutral to keep peace, Sara and Cici are always fighting. So one time when the fighting over text picks up again I end up snapping at my family and yelling something at them that everyone would probably be happier if i just died. The next day I tried to act like everything was fine. I ended up making it until PE where I ended up breaking down infront of my teacher and skipping school for the rest of the day in the office crying my eyes out to the guidance counselor. I told her everything that happened and that sometimes when I tell my friends things I don't like or feel comfortable with, they sometimes will forget or ignore what i say. Which always makes me angry or sad because I always take the time to understand and respect my friends boundaries. that's when I realized that just because your friends are friends doesn’t mean they will always understand. Despite that fact I will always respect others boundaries even if they don’t respect mine and I will always remind others of my boundaries or distance myself from them. Just because your friends are friends doesn’t mean they will always understand and just because you can/want to say or do something hurtful doesn’t mean that you should. Know where to darw the line.
