SOTD: Burberry Goddess

2024.05.03 15:25 Aggressive_Cut4892 SOTD: Burberry Goddess

SOTD: Burberry Goddess
With three different types of vanilla in its notes pyramid (including the delicious-sounding vanilla caviar whatever that is), it’s no surprise that Goddess is a vanilla explosion. What is surprising, however, is how spicy it is, at least to me— lavender and ginger and various other spices and aromatics come together to create a curry-like richness. IMO this spiciness is what elevates Goddess from being a boring meh vanilla scent to a deliciously interesting one.
The perfume was an utter weakling when I first got it, but has improved nicely as vanilla fragrances often do. Still remains close to the skin, but lasts for 8-10 hours on clothes.
There’s a specific memory of mine that’s triggered every time I sniff this perfume. It’s too frivolous to be included in a mini-review so I’m posting it as a comment.

Introduction to Luxury Pet Accessories

Luxury pet accessories have a rich history that showcases how they have evolved to meet the demands of stylish pet owners looking to pamper their furry friends. These accessories have transitioned from being purely functional to also serving as fashion statements for pets, reflecting the changing attitudes towards pets as valuable members of the family [3]. The emotional connection between pet owners and their pets is a driving force behind the increasing popularity of luxury pet accessories, as pet owners seek to provide the best in comfort and style for their beloved companions.
The influence of social media and celebrity endorsements has played a significant role in popularizing luxury pet accessories, making them more accessible and desirable to a wider audience. As pet ownership continues to rise and pets are increasingly considered part of the family, the demand for luxury pet products that elevate both style and comfort is on the rise, with pet owners looking for unique and high-quality items to spoil their furry friends. For example, the Stellar Cat Bed from Tuft + Paw is a luxurious accessory that not only enhances a cat's comfort but also adds a touch of style to any home.
Luxury pet accessories have become a staple in the pet industry, offering a wide range of benefits for both pets and their owners. From designer collars to high-end feeding stations, these accessories are designed to enhance the overall well-being and lifestyle of pets, providing them with the best in comfort and style. Emerging companies like MiaCara and Pagerie are also making a mark in the luxury pet accessory market, offering innovative products that blend luxury with functionality. Boutique pet stores such as Puppy Paws Boutique curate exclusive collections of designer pet accessories, providing pet owners with a diverse selection of high-end products to choose from.

Importance of Style and Comfort in Pet Accessories

Investing in luxury pet accessories goes beyond making a fashion statement; it also plays a crucial role in enhancing pets' overall well-being and happiness. These accessories not only elevate the aesthetic appeal of pets but also contribute to their comfort and quality of life. For older or injured animals, pet accessories designed for comfort can provide much-needed support and improve their daily lives. Additionally, stylish pet accessories allow pet owners to express their own personality and taste while ensuring that their pets are well-cared for and fashionable.
An example of how luxury pet accessories enhance both style and comfort is through the use of high-quality materials like leather, eco-friendly fabrics, and even Swarovski crystals. These materials not only add a touch of glamour to the accessories but also prioritize the comfort and well-being of the pets wearing them. By combining style and functionality, luxury pet accessories offer a win-win solution for both pet owners and their furry companions. When pet owners choose a chic Small Thin Dog Collar from Celine for their beloved pet, they are not only accessorizing them in style but also providing them with a comfortable and high-quality accessory.

By providing pets with the best in comfort and style, luxury pet accessories enhance the bond between pets and their owners, creating a lifestyle that is both luxurious and fulfilling.

Benefits of Investing in High-Quality Pet Products

Choosing high-quality pet products has numerous benefits for both pets and pet owners. These products are often more durable and long-lasting, saving pet owners money in the long run and ensuring that their pets have access to reliable and well-made accessories. Luxury pet accessories made from premium materials also reduce the risk of skin irritation or discomfort for pets, making them suitable for even the most sensitive animals. The durability of high-quality pet products ensures that they withstand daily wear and tear, providing pets with long-lasting comfort and style.
Investing in high-quality pet accessories can also strengthen the bond between pets and their owners, as the act of pampering and caring for pets with luxurious items can enhance the overall lifestyle and happiness of both parties. By prioritizing quality and design in pet products, pet owners can rest assured that they are providing their furry companions with the best in comfort and style. The emotional connection between pets and their owners is further deepened when pets are treated to high-quality accessories that cater to their needs and preferences. This bond not only enhances the quality of life for pets but also creates a sense of joy and fulfillment for pet owners, knowing that they are providing the best for their beloved companions.

Latest Trends in Luxury Pet Accessories

The luxury pet accessory market is constantly evolving, with new trends emerging to meet the changing demands of pet owners. Sustainability has become a key focus for many luxury pet brands, leading to the use of recycled materials and support for conservation efforts in the production of pet accessories. Customization is another growing trend, allowing pet owners to tailor products to their pets' specific needs and preferences, ensuring a perfect fit and style. For example, brands like Whisker are incorporating sustainability into their luxury pet products by using recycled materials and supporting conservation charities.
Technology integration is also on the rise in luxury pet products, with features like activity trackers and smart feeders becoming more common in the market. These tech-savvy accessories not only add convenience for pet owners but also help monitor and improve pets' health and well-being. By staying up to date with the latest trends in luxury pet accessories, pet owners can ensure that their furry friends are equipped with the most innovative and stylish products available. Customization options in luxury pet accessories, such as personalized collars and customized bedding, allow pet owners to create a unique and tailored experience for their pets. This customization not only adds a personal touch to the accessories but also ensures that pets are comfortable and stylish in every way.

Designer Pet Clothing and Accessories

Luxury pet clothing is no longer just about fashion; it serves practical purposes like providing warmth and protection for pets. High-end pet accessories such as designer bandanas and bow ties have become popular choices for special occasions and social media appearances, allowing pets to showcase their style and personality. Some luxury pet brands even collaborate with renowned fashion designers to create limited-edition collections, adding an element of exclusivity to their products. An example of this collaboration is the La Jeune Tulipe Diamond Pet Collar, a luxurious accessory that not only enhances a pet's style but also adds a touch of elegance and sophistication.
By incorporating high-quality fabrics, stylish designs, and functional features, designer pet clothing and accessories offer pets a touch of luxury while ensuring they are comfortable and well-dressed. These items not only elevate pets' style but also provide them with the care and attention they deserve, making them an essential part of the luxury pet accessory market. The attention to detail and craftsmanship in designer pet accessories reflect the growing demand for high-end products that cater to pets' needs while also keeping them stylish and trendy.

High-End Feeding Stations

High-end feeding stations are designed to not only be stylish but also focus on pet health and well-being. These stations often incorporate features like slow feeding mechanisms and portion control, ensuring that pets maintain a healthy eating routine. Luxury pet bowls and feeders are typically made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel or ceramic, which are durable, easy to clean, and hygienic. An example of this is the self-cleaning Litter-Robot 4 from Whisker, which offers pet owners a convenient and efficient way to maintain their cat's litter box.
Automatic feeders are another popular feature in luxury pet collections, offering convenience to pet owners and helping maintain regular feeding schedules for their pets. By investing in a high-end feeding station, pet owners can ensure that their pets are well-fed, healthy, and stylishly catered to, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetics of their pet accessories. The incorporation of technology in high-end feeding stations, such as automatic timers and portion control settings, allows pet owners to provide their pets with a consistent and healthy feeding routine. These feeding stations not only streamline the feeding process but also ensure that pets receive the right amount of food at the right time, promoting their overall health and well-being.

Luxurious Pet Beds

Luxury pet beds go beyond basic comfort, providing pets with orthopedic support and eco-friendly materials for a sustainable sleeping environment. These high-end beds often come with customizable features like removable covers and temperature-regulating properties, allowing pets to enjoy year-round comfort and relaxation. Investing in a luxurious pet bed can improve pets' sleep quality, reduce anxiety, and promote overall well-being. An example of this is the orthopedic mattress and cushion beds made from eco-friendly materials, offering pets a comfortable and supportive sleeping surface that caters to their specific needs and preferences.
By choosing a luxury pet bed that prioritizes both style and comfort, pet owners can create a cozy and inviting space for their furry companions to rest and recharge. These beds are not only a statement piece in any home but also a practical and essential accessory for pets, ensuring they have a comfortable and luxurious place to call their own. The design and construction of luxury pet beds focus on providing pets with the best in comfort and support, promoting healthy sleep habits and overall well-being. The use of eco-friendly materials in luxury pet beds reflects the growing trend towards sustainability in pet accessories, offering pet owners a guilt-free way to pamper their pets while also caring for the environment.

2024.03.12 17:33 lets-split-up Does anyone remember the rhyme about the Patchwork Man? And the picture game?

Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, play a game!
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, in the frame!
And the next line is something about stealing your skin. But for the life of me I cannot remember the end. I’m trying to find it for an old friend.
This friend—for privacy’s sake, let’s call her Kayla—met me for coffee after texting me out of the blue, reminiscing about our childhood days and wondering if we could get together and catch up. I’m one of the few who stayed in our hometown and never moved, even though there’s really nothing except lots of conifers reaching towards the clouds like brushes, painting the skies a permanent gray. The trees and slopes mean our roads are winding, our homes shaded, and the sky blotted out by branches unless you’re willing to drive far enough to where the land levels into pasture.
All of which is to say, our sleepy town has its share of quirks, and it’s very possible the game never caught on in other places. When Kayla mentioned it in her text to me, memories flooded back. I hadn’t thought about elementary school in years. Suddenly I was back on the playground, running across the sand screaming because Kayla wouldn’t stop trying to kiss me, pretending to be Pepe LePew while I pretended to be the cat. To be honest, I barely remembered Kayla aside from that memory. Even though we attended the same school all the way through senior year, she became one of the popular girls. And since I turned out to be the token gay (I’m actually bi, but whatever), I spent most of high school just trying to keep my head down and get through.
We met at a small café—one of only two breakfast spots in town, and the only one with coffee I consider decent. Seated by the large windows, I wondered if I’d even recognize her. I texted that I was wearing gray flannel.
When she came in, she looked around for a moment in confusion, spotted my shirt, and beamed. “Pat! Almost didn’t know it was you.”
“Kayla?” I smiled and stood up. “I definitely didn’t recognize you! Wow, you look like a real city gal! That’s a beautiful coat.”
“It’s Burberry,” she said, and blushed, embarrassed, maybe, to be a rich woman in such a homey space. “I like your tattoo. Is that a wolf?”
“It’s actually my husky, Snowy. Named him when I was eight. I never wanted to forget him, so…”
“Oh my God that is so sweet!” She laid a hand to her heart, looking genuinely touched as she slid into her seat. “I never knew you had a dog! How did I not know that? You know, my son recently got a dog—”
“You’ve got kids now?”
“I’ve got kids now!”
The first half hour of catching up, Kayla was smiling, energetic, seemingly delighted to share about her life and ask about mine. And yet, I noticed the occasional drift of her eyes as I was telling her about my dad’s health, like she was distracted. Like all this sunny conversation was just light on the water’s surface while deeper down a darker undercurrent tugged her thoughts elsewhere. Like she was itching to ask me something. But then the smile returned, as carefully applied as her makeup.
I suppose life as a businesswoman taught her to wear that amiable disposition just like that expensive coat. But I’m patient. I kept up the discussion and waited for her to get comfortable enough to shed both the fancy coat and fancy smile and explain to me why her hands were trembling.
Finally she sipped her coffee and asked, “Do you remember Jimmy Smythe?”
“’Course I remember Jimmy Smythe.” That was how we always referred to him. Not as Jimmy, like back when he was alive. Jimmy Smythe. First name, last name. Jimmy Smythe, the boy who went missing.
“You remember what he looked like?” she asked.
That took me aback. I tried to think that far into the past, shook my head. She reached into her bag and pulled out a photograph—an actual, printed photograph! This was a lot of effort. I looked at the photo and tried to remember him: blue eyes, blond hair, chubby red cheeks and that mole on his nose.
Jimmy Smythe was in our fourth grade class when he went missing. People searched for weeks, but there was no trace of him anywhere.
“You remember,” she asked, “how mad the sheriff got about the Patchwork Man?”
“I remember.” I nodded. “They thought he was someone they could find.”
The Patchwork Man was like our small town’s version of the boogie man, or Bloody Mary. A scary tale we used to spook one another. He wasn’t real. But Jimmy talked about him so much in the days before he disappeared that authorities assumed he was an actual person stalking us all. It’s possible the other kids said stuff that led them to think that, too. And Jimmy and the others drew pictures of him. So many pictures! A disfigured man in a patchwork, calico coat.
But I was never really all that into the fads and games that the other children got swept up in. I didn’t learn about the Patchwork Man until our school field trip to an art museum. Our school was so small, it was us little kids plus all the older kids. When we finally got to the museum, all us younger kids went spilling into the rooms and wandering among the paintings, pointing and saying things like, “Ohmigod it’s the Patchwork Man!” Sometimes we pointed at creepy figures or characters in mottled clothes, like jesters. But mostly we pointed at paintings where there wasn’t any figure at all. The older kids didn’t get it and kept asking “What’s the Patchwork Man?” I didn’t really get it either, even though I kept doing it, but then Jimmy explained it to me. The picture game was kind of like a cross between Where’s Waldo and those Magic Eye things. The idea was that you had to try to find the Patchwork Man. Most of the kids were pretending just like I was. “He’s right behind you,” we’d say. “He’s gonna snatch you away.” Stuff like that.
The teachers finally told us to quit it. But for weeks after, every so often, someone would remember and start it up again, shrieking that they saw the Patchwork Man. They’d yell and point at a picture and swear they saw it for real and that he was in the picture guys I swear he was there. The week before Jimmy Smythe went missing he said it a lot.
“There was a rhyme, too,” Kayla insisted. “Do you remember, we chanted it to scare him off?” She began the chant: “Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man…”
… play a game!” I joined in, the words tumbling up from some dusty shelf of memory. “Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, in the frame! Patchwork Man… I can’t remember the rest.”
“Yes! That’s where I’m stuck, too!” She struck the table with the flat of her hand. Tried to lift her cup, but her fingers were shaking too bad. “And then something about stealing skins. And the last line was how to get rid of him.”
Stealing skins. I’d forgotten about that until she mentioned it. How the Patchwork Man stole the skins of his victims, and his own body was sewn together from their pieces, so that he had the eyes of one, the nose of another...
“Patchwork Man…” I tapped my finger to my head, trying to recall the rest of it. “Damn! That’s gonna bother me. You didn’t have it written down? Maybe I do in an old book or something…”
“Doubt it.” She shook her head. “We destroyed all the pictures and… books, too. Everything. That night… you remember that night, after Jimmy disappeared, we all met at Roger’s house for the bonfire?”
“Oh… you’re right. Shit, I forgot. You’re right. We threw in our notebooks.”
“Not just our notebooks. Everything. Pictures we drew. Pictures we stole from our parents’ houses. Even some paintings. And the book. You remember? Jimmy’s book?”
Jimmy’s book? Now as she said it I could almost picture us all scattered around the library, Kayla at the girly girls’ table with Nancy Drew books. Me lounging on the bean bag chair with Snoopy comics. And Jimmy, suddenly exclaiming from a corner table. He had one of those Magic Eye books with the patterns where you have to cross your eyes a little to see the hidden picture, and he shouted, “It’s him! It’s him! I found the Patchwork Man!”
Everyone crowded around his table to look at the Magic Eye book. There was a chorus of “I don’t see anything’s” and “Where?” A girl named Sandy declared she could see him, but she was clearly lying because she couldn’t even point where in the picture he was, and… Kayla, back then with her freckled face and unkept hair and perpetually skinned knees from roller-skating. She squinted hard at the page and said, “I see him, too! A man standing in the corner.”
Now, in the diner, Kayla reached into her bag and pulled out a book.
“He’s in here,” she said, pushing it toward me.
Ice trickled down my spine. It was a Magic Eye book—the same book. Different copy, but identical cover and pages. “Why would you—”
“Tell me I’m not crazy. Tell me he’s not there.”
I sighed. But I opened the book. “You know, I’ve never been good at these things. I don’t think I’ll be able to see anything in any of them.”
“You can. I’ll show you,” said Kayla, and patiently but insistently taught me how to look. How to see the ball in the picture on the first page. The airplane on the second. It was difficult—I could only make out the shapes with intense concentration. But after I saw a star without her giving me hints, she nodded encouragement and turned the page. The next one was challenging. In fact the longer I stared, the more convinced I became there was nothing in the picture at all. That this one was a dud.
Sweat formed on my brow. I could feel the moisture pooling under my armpits, even as my skin went cold. Wait… maybe there was something… “I think I see a figure,” I said finally. “Sort of.”
“It’s crystal clear to me when I look.” She closed the book without looking at the page. “That one’s the Patchwork Man.”
“Oh,” I said. Felt a tingle of unease. But then I thought about it for a moment. “Could be any man-shaped figure, though, couldn’t it? We made up all that stuff about the Patchwork Man. It was just a game—”
But she was pulling more things out of her bag, now. Spilling the bag open to reveal photos. Articles. Artwork. She shoved a handful of newspaper clippings toward me.
“Here in this town,” she said, voice low and tremulous, “the disappearances started long before Jimmy. And after him, there was a boy the next year in second grade, and later a little immigrant girl. The disappearances happen every decade or so. A handful of people, and then nothing for years.” And now, her composure completely cracked. She took her napkin and held it to her face, her mouth trembling beneath welling tears as if she were biting back a scream. Finally she burst, “I didn’t mean to look! I was going through my old notebooks, childhood stuff I’d packed away, and I found some diary entries I wrote about the Patchwork Man…” She started to sob. “I should have burned it! I must have forgot it. I thought I did burn it. Once I saw my old drawings of him I… I see him everywhere now! He… he won’t go away! He’s real, he has Jimmy’s blue eye, Jimmy’s rosy cheek. Look! Look, you can see—”
“I don’t want to,” I said. But she shoved Jimmy’s photo over, along with a folder of artwork. And in spite of myself, I looked.
The folder contained printouts of paintings. The kind you might see in people’s houses, or in a museum. Initially, they were all perfectly ordinary pictures. I should my head and told her there was nothing in them. But then…
I almost missed him, like my eyes wanted to skip over him. But the feel of goosebumps on my arms made me look again, and there in a watercolor of a crowded street, amongst all the shapes bleeding together like wet ink after a rain, was a man wearing a patchwork coat made of some sort of supple, delicate leather.
He was gone in the next few paintings, but reappeared in another impressionistic crowd scene. The more images I saw him in, the easier he was to spot, hiding among the artworks like Waldo in a crowd. And I swallowed, trying to quell the fear that brought my heartbeat pounding in my ears because I could see him clearly enough now to identify the one bright blue eye and ruddy cheek. It really was Jimmy’s eye. And up close, the pieces of Jimmy and others in the Patchwork Man were all the wrong size, mismatched like some sort of Frankenstein but even more horrifying to look at…
In fact, the longer I looked, the more nauseating the details. Like how the Patchwork Man had too many fingers on his hands, and one of his ears was upside down, and his other eye had two different pupils, and the buttons of his coat were teeth and… I was getting sick to my stomach. Dizzy. Like I was feeling a sense of vertigo. Like when you look at one of those spinning spirals and when you stop everything keeps spinning. Like I was staring at a Magic Eye and the patterns were shifting—his skin was almost like those mesmerizing patterns—
WHAM
I jumped. Kayla had slammed the folder closed and was shouting at me, hollering at the top of her lungs, shaking me: “STOP LOOKING! STOP LOOKING!!!”
Everyone in the café was staring.
I stammered an apology, and we paid and quickly left.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
“Yeah, yeah, I… no, actually.” I turned to her. “Why the fuck would you come all the way out here and drag me into—”
“Because I don’t want to be next!” she cried, anguished. “Rory is starting elementary school! I just need to know the rhyme, Pat. I need to know how it ends! You’re the only person I know who might remember! Please. PLEASE! What did we do to chase him away? At the bonfire?”
“Ok.” I growled, trying to suppress the bubbling fear that—no. No. I would not succumb to this… this delusion. She’d doctored those pictures. She had to. Or… she’d drawn me into her crazy fears through sheer conviction. But I couldn’t leave her in this state, so I said, “Ok… I maybe have an idea.”
We parted ways and agreed to meet at my house later that evening. In the meantime, I looked at the artworks that hung on the walls of my house, artworks that had been there since my grandparents’ generation, showing landscapes and people—all normal. I typed this post, thinking if we didn’t solve her problem maybe someone else could help. I was still typing when the doorbell rang—evening had come sooner than I expected.
I met Kayla outside by the firepit. She had brought her folders with pictures. I also brought a painting out from inside—it was my favorite, a landscape of the beautiful woods and slate gray sky. It seemed to embody the essence of this place, the lonely isolation and desolate beauty. But while typing I reluctantly had to admit I’d started catching odd glimpses in the corner of my eye, as if someone were peeking out from behind a trunk. I didn’t want that idea to take root any deeper than it had already.
The painting had to go.
The plan was simple: we’d burn the pictures, recite the rhyme, and hope that re-enacting what we’d done as children would jog our memories. I got the fire going while Kayla stood there tight-lipped and pale. She’d removed her makeup now, and her skin was sallow and her freckled cheeks sunken with fear. She kept whispering, “Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man…” trying to remember the rhyme, I knew. But without her knowing the rest, it sounded almost like she was calling him.
“Hey,” I nudged her, and began by tossing some of the pictures from her folder into the roaring fire. She nodded and followed suit, throwing her old diary on, and then the Magic Eye book and what was left of her folder, and lastly I ripped my painting out of its frame and broke it in two and threw the canvass on. While all of that was catching, nearly smothering the fire, we faced each other and held hands. It felt awkward and ridiculous, two adults chanting like children, but we did it anyway.
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, play a game!
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, in the frame!
Patchwork Man, I see you! Looking for some skins to steal!” Kayla shouted, triumphant, remembering the third line! Just one more…
“Patchwork Man, can’t take mine! You…”
But even as the line came back to me, she stopped, turning her head. She was staring at something. You’re not supposed to look away from one another during the chant, not supposed to look at the fire. But her head was turned, mouth hanging open, eyes wide in terror. I followed her gaze and…
It was impossible. But I swear to you, there on the top of the heap was my painting of the conifers, the edges just starting to catch, and the Patchwork Man was stepping out from the trees and he was climbing out of the painting, that piercing blue eye that used to be Jimmy’s fixed on Kayla. The world seemed to swirl and ripple, everything flattening out—Kayla flattening out, too. She had her hands at her face, like that character painted in the Scream. The Patchwork Man’s misshapen hands, one large and one small, the fingers all different lengths and wrong, like how his left hand had two thumbs, grabbed her and drew her in… and they both seemed to blend with brush strokes and ash and flames and then the canvass was burning. The painting was gone. And there was no one standing where Kayla had been, just the prints from her shoes in the dirt.
I gaped, disbelieving. Stood there in a daze while the fire slowly died. Not accepting any of what I’d seen. How could I? It had to be some kind of nightmare. That was the only thing that made sense. I was having a waking nightmare. Maybe someone spiked my drink. I don’t know. I don’t know.
But when I got inside I looked up at the wall of the living room and groaned. Because there’s a small family portrait—a painting by my grandmother of my grandfather. Only now, instead of my grandfather it showed the Patchwork Man, with a new patch of freckled skin on his cheek. And I whispered to myself the rhyme, the one Kayla didn’t finish:
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, play a game!
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, in the frame!
Patchwork Man, I see you! Looking for some skins to steal!
Patchwork Man, can’t take mine! You know why? Cause you’re NOT REAL!
But I know now that the rhyme won’t help me. The rhyme just tells you the rule—that if he’s not real, he can’t hurt you. If he’s not real. If you don’t believe in him. But I think it’s too late because I can see him so clearly now, even now, as I finish typing this post. And I hope, for anyone reading this, you don’t make the mistake I did. If your kids talk about him, please convince them he’s not real. It’s not too late for them, as long as you can convince them.
My only hope now is to drink myself to oblivion, sleep it off, try to convince myself when I wake up that it was all a fever dream… that Kayla never contacted me (I already deleted all her messages), and that none of this happened. I just have to make myself believe it didn’t happen...
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, play a game!
Patchwork Man, Patchwork Man, in the frame!
Patchwork Man, I see you! Looking for some skins to steal!
Patchwork Man, can’t take mine! You know why? Cause you’re NOT REAL!

2024.02.15 20:38 The_Original_JLaw Hypocrite Meghan and her hat with a fox pom pom

Public service announcement for a TRUE TRUE beloved charity that SAVES foxes. Started by one woman, and now they have places for rescued foxes to run in Minnesota (I believe) and Florida! If you feel like giving, I cannot think of a better place. I adore what they do.
https://www.youtube.com/@SaveAFox
I can't even begin to express my outrage that Meghan would wear a designer hat with fox fur. Harry supports a fund that rapes women because they were trying to live their indigenous lives. Meghan does whatever with animals to suit her own needs. Dumping one dog in Canada, breaking the legs of her beagle somewhere else. VILE WOMAN.
Save A Fox actually raised a big amount of money and BOUGHT a fur farm to rescue more foxes. Most of their rescues come from fur farms and pet surrenders. (They're adorable animals but DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.)
This woman's (Save A Fox) entire life is dedicated to saving foxes. And Meghan is wearing a part of one on her disgusting, lying head.
SHAME MEGHAN MARKLE
p.s. I'm not affiliated with Save A Fox, just a massive fan.
And if it turns out that Meghan's ugly hat by Burberry does NOT contain fox fur, oh well. Let me be a liar just like the Queen of Lies & Hypocrisy.

I'm (30f) getting married this spring and would like to wear something nice the wedding and after (honeymoon, date nights, etc). I don't typically wear perfumes...more often reach for body sprays.
The past few weeks I've been trying perfumes on in the store, ordering sample/discovery kits, etc and haven't had much luck. They either smell too mature (remind me of my grandmother...maybe it is floral-heavy perfumes?), smell like soap or cleaning products on my skin, or have a strong alcohol smell. I don't know if my nose is broken or I'm trying things on with notes that don't work for me or something else.
What do you think I should avoid and/or what should I try next?
---
What I've liked so far:
Estée Lauder – Pleasures Delight (discontinued) strawberry, pomegranate, freesia, peony, lily, heliotrope, marshmallow, patchouli, caramel, vanilla, rose I wore this in high school and liked it.
Coach - Love strawberry, mandarin, pink pepper leaves, red rose, indian sambac jasmine, osmanthus flowers, cedarwood, grey amber Tried on in the store; sweet but not too much. May order a sample of this.
Coach - Wild Rose redcurrant, bergamot, rose, jasmine sambac, crystal moss, dusky ambroxan Tried on in the store; overall nice...not too floral.
Coach - Dreams Sunset pear, bergamot, jasmine, tonka, vanilla Tried on in the store; overall nice but had an underlying sharpness/bitterness which I didn't care for
Burberry - Goddess powerful trio of vanillas...on top, a vanilla infusion with woody tonalities, at the heart a vanilla caviar with a rich sweetness, and at the base a vanilla absolute enriched with luminous lavender Tried on in the store; nice from start to dry down. May order a sample of this.
Montale - Soleil De Capri kumquat, grapefruit, orange, white floral, spices, white musk Tried on in the store; overall nice sweet/fruity
---
What I haven't liked so far:
Fueguia – Xocoatl vanilla, cacao, rum Tried on in the store; smelled like I had poured port/brandy on myself
Chloe - L'Eau Lumineuse sambac jasmine, rose, vanilla, patchouli Tried on in the store; sweet but a very chemical sweet (kinda like artificial smoke for stage productions, haunted houses, etc)
Chloe - Nomad mirabelle plum, freesia, oakmoss Tried on in the store; smelled kind of sour on me
Tocca - Florence bergamot, pear, gardenia worn a few times; way too sweet on me
Tocca - Stella blood orange, freesia, spicy lily worn a few times; smells like laundry detergent (not a bad smell...just not what I want to smell like)
Tocca - Cleopatra grapefruit, jasmine, vanilla musk worn a few times; just very strong and "perfumy"
Jo Malone - English Pear & Freesia pear, freesia, patchouli worn a few times; very soapy
Jo Malone - Peony & Blush Suede apple, peony, suede worn a few times; reminds me of Brisk tea
Jo Malone - Wood Sage & Sea Salt ambrette seeds, sea salt, sage worn a few times; initial smell a bit too masculine for me & dry down smells like ivory soap
Jo Malone - Nectarine Blossom & Honey cassis, honey, peach worn a few times; like initial smell but dry down smells like dog shampoo
Jo Malone - Mimosa & Cardamom cardamom, mimosa plant, tonka bean worn a few times; initial smell like a citrus/sweet hand sanitizing wipe
Jo Malone - Moonlit Camomile moonflower, camomile, musk worn a few times; soapy

2024.01.11 15:53 DivingKataeGuru January 11, 2024 - General Analysis

Proper Stocks

SMFL - Currently the most shorted stock.
BKNG - Missed this one on overpriced to heck stocks. This will continue to be monstrously huge as long as the traffic flows in and the trips keep getting booked.
EA - They reached their peak during the pandemic and they're close to it, but I expect nothing special here.
DIS - Hit their height during the pandemic (thanks to Disney+), but it's been on a downward trend, aside from a brief tick up toward the end of 2023. This is compounded with streaming and box office closes. No one should feel bad early Mickey Mouse shorts like Steamboat Willie are in the public domain.
PRLB - Made a surprise jump toward the end of 2023, but otherwise looks middling.
AAPL - The Mac's 40th anniversary is coming up real quick, so I see an upward trend to $200.
NVAX - Peaked during COVID-19 and is now a borderline penny stock.
SOFI - Recovered in 2023, but not at their height by any means. I expect this one to be middling.
TSLA - Elon is a funny person. Their stock absolutely exploded during the pandemic, but the stock has not really recovered since. And with Elon's recent controversies, I don't see this returning to its height.

ETFs

YieldMax ETFs - I already mentioned QQQY, but basically these are a series of options-based ETFs with high dividend pay. CONY
CYA - 350% dividend pay, but it's an ETF based on tail risk hedges. As a result, it constantly goes down. Skip.
Also, the SEC has allowed Bitcoin ETF since today and the following can now be purchased by investors - ARKB, BITB, FBTC, EZBC, GBTC (formerly a fund), DEFI, BTCO, IBIT, BRRR, HODL, and BTCW.

Upcoming Earnings This Month

LOGI - Earnings comes soon. Their keyboards are everywhere, especially the KB-120. Could rise to $100 per share.
INTC - Their processors are still very much everywhere. Could hit $50 per share.

OTC Dog Toys

NTDOY - The heights of this stock was during the rise of the Wii and the pandemic. Seems to be on an upward trend, but it is an OTC stock.
CCOEY - Capcom's on the OTC? Who knew. This had an upward tick recently, but there's also reports their games on Steam have had DRM added to them. Joy.
SGAMY - Sega Sammy Holdings' US stock. A truly abysmal stock brought you by the OTC market. Unless a bunch of Sonic fans buy stock here (unlikely), it will probably go nowhere.
BURBY - Ah, the classic Burberry. Seems to randomly go up and down with no real pattern behind it.

2023.12.02 20:43 PreppyAtHeart Baracuta - Roots & Subcultures

Baracuta - Roots & Subcultures
Since its debut in 1937 in rainy Manchester, Baracuta has had a global impact on absolutely everyone, from your average Joe to countless celebrities, from brands who have seen Baracuta as an inspiration for their own collections to the music and film industry, and various subcultures. Let’s get into Baracuta’s roots – how did Baracuta come into being? and how did these subcultures take on Baracuta’s most iconic jackets as their own?
A young Eric Clapton (playing with \"The Yardbirds\" wearing a Baracuta jacket (possibly a G4) on the set of popular 60s television show \"Ready, Steady, Go\".
Before Baracuta was born, the Miller family - the creative geniuses behind the G9 - worked in the rainwear industry in the early 1900’s. These years of experience making waterproof coats and jackets were soon to become extremely useful. They were so highly skilled that brands such as Burberry, Aquascutum and Marks Spencer had raincoats supplied to them by the Millers. However, in 1937 all that changed. The Miller Brothers, John and Isaac, wanted to do more with their expertise and create something of their own. Thus, Baracuta was born in one of England’s rainiest cities -Manchester! The brothers must have known their brand was to become one of the most famous brands in the world, passing from generation to generation, a trendsetter, with a non-Anglo name. The brothers chose this exotic name with global success in mind. With the birth of Baracuta, was the creation of one of the world’s most iconic jackets ever known – The G9 Harrington Jacket.
John and Isaac Miller were big into Golf and played at Manchester Golfclub. This was the very place where everything changed. After seeing their fellow golfers struggle with their swing in their own jackets, they had a lightbulb moment. They lacked movement which is fundamental in the game of golf. In 1937 John and Isaac created the G9 Harrington Jacket, the same year Baracuta was founded. The brothers thought long and hard about the features this jacket was to have - style and practicality! It included a ribbed hem and cuffs, a two-button dog ear collar, an inside pocket and strategically slanted pockets with a single button closure designed to hold two golf balls. The signature look is the umbrella back yoke with a built-in vent making it a more breathable garment. This umbrella-shaped characteristic conducts rain away from the wearer and has since become one of Baracuta’s most recognisable features. To pay tribute to how the iconic jacket came about, they knew they had to name the jacket around Golf – and so they did. G stands for Golf and 9 stands for the 9 holes in the golf course.
Old advertisement for Baracuta rain gear - the first image being a G9 golf jacket.
Even though the brothers had made this revolutionary jacket, they felt something was still missing. They set out to find a key feature that would make their brand stand out. They met with Lord Lovat - Brigadier Simon Christopher Joseph Fraser, the 25th clan chief of the Clan Fraser of Lovat in Scotland and asked him if they could use his family tartan in their brand. He loved the idea and agreed. In 1938, the Miller Brothers put the finishing touches to one of the most famous jackets in the world, the first ever G9 Harrington Jacket.
Even though the G9 Harrington Jacket was initially made with golfers’ needs in mind, it has surpassed its original purpose, one of the few clothing pieces in history to have achieved this. Baracuta went global. In the 50’s the brothers opened up an office in the Empire State Building and saw the beginning of its fame in the film and music industry. The G9 Jacket was spotted in numerous Hollywood films and worn by countless high-profile celebrities which influenced the students of Ivy League campuses to get involved in the G9 craze. It really put together their Ivy League/ Preppy outfits perfectly. In 1964, Ryan O’Neal, who played Rodney Harrington in the sitcom Peyton Place adored the Baracuta G9 Jacket and was seen wearing it on the show. That G9 Jacket went on to be known as the Harrington Jacket. This name was set in stone when John Simmons, a fan of Peyton Place, opened up a store called The Ivy Shop (inspired by the Ivy League) where he sold Baracuta’s G9 Jacket. It was placed in the shop window and was called the “Harrington Jacket”. This is how Baracuta’s G9 became the first and only Harrington Jacket.
Actor Steve Mcqueen wearing a Baracuta G9 in the 1960s
It doesn’t stop there; various British subcultures began to adopt Baracuta Jackets as their go-to piece. What are subcultures you may ask? Subcultures are groups of mini cultures within larger cultural groups who have the same belief systems, interests and way of life. British subcultures came about during the 1950’s. Money was becoming increasingly scarce, and the hotspots frequented by the youth started to close earlier which meant there wasn’t much for them to do. With the rise of Hollywood films in British cinemas, the youth began to pick up new colloquialisms and behaviours. This period also placed an emphasis on looks and hygiene and these subcultures began to adapt their style and way of life. All of this led them to being part of some of the most famous subcultural groups to ever come out of the UK. Baracuta and its G9 and G4 jackets were tightly linked to many subcultures like the Mods, Skinheads, Ska, Punks and British rockers. These groups referred to the Harrington Jacket as their everyday garb.
Mick Jones of punk-rock band \"The Clash\" dons a \"Harrington\" Jacket
Skinheads who were fans of reggae and the rude boy style, were often seen sporting Baracuta’s jackets. It was very easy to distinguish a Skinhead due to their shaved heads. To finish off this look, they wore boots, shirts with braces and completed it with Baracuta’s G9 Harrington or G4 Jacket.
Skinheads donning \"Harrington\" jackets
Mods were also a very prominent subcultural group who had many Baracuta jackets in their wardrobe. Mods were modernists and liked to dress more elegantly, usually by wearing shirts with suits or with our G9 Harrington or G4 Jackets.
Mods
Thanks to the UK music scene and bands like The Clash, Blur and Oasis, Baracuta’s Harrington Jacket ended up being a sought-after coat of arms for pop culture. Oasis collaborated with Baracuta back in 2009 to further solidify Baracuta’s presence within subcultures. Each group had a visually different ways to show off their style but the G9 and G4 gave each group a sense of identity. The jackets weren’t just a fashion piece to them. The G4 and the G9 Harrington Jacket helped these subcultures to express themselves and gave them the confidence to do so. Baracuta has been around since 1937. It’s a brand that has stood the test of time, throughout many historical events, movements, trends, generations and subcultures. Its timeless silhouette, superior quality and classic style have always allowed and will continue to allow the brand to progress along this path of everlasting success - while also helping people feel good and confident in their own skin.

2023.11.24 17:10 gooobegone 4 Stereoplasm Reviews

Hey again everybody! Here to kick off the first of my fall exchange review batches. This one has an addition thrown in not from the exchange.
Snow Bloom
Frosted cherry blossom, winter violet, French musk and club soda
Wet: A fairly standard cherry blossom notes but drenched in camphor and possibly also aldehydes or something hydic. It burns your nose like breathing in too deeply on a cold day. Freezing cold air but lightly violet scented, like sniffing an ice cold floral club soda.
Dry: It retains its cold qualities for a good long while, but slowly warms and sweetens up on the skin. Eventually, after about 3 hours it's a candy violet musk, sweet and light and pleasant. But with something zingy still there.
Lasted ages and ages (about 8 hours) on me and had incredible throw and I only used a teeny tiny amount. - Does it Vampire Blood? Yes! The VB makes it a more true cherry soda scent. And the jasmine and violet play together like fairies.
Sugibrite (edp)
Jeweled champagne fruit grounded in primordial amber, sugared ether and wet shelfstone
Wet: Oooooh I love this one. It smells like sparkling fruit and yummy delicious sugary amber. It smells the way tanghulu tastes. Also reminds me of my mom's signature scent when I was growing up, one of the Burberry ones the one that's like lime and vanilla or something. Delicious!
Dry: I can make out more of a stoney note but for me it retains its sparkly sugary fruit goodness. More linear than other stereoplasm scents I've tried and I'm grateful because I love how it smells.
Once again lasted ages (about 7 hours on this one) and had incredible projection (not unusual for an edp). - Does it Vampire Blood? Hell yeah! I feel like they're a part of the same scent family in a lot of ways. I feel like the VB just boosted it, deepened it, rounded it out, warmed it up because it is a bit cold to the touch.
Soft Cat
Sunday morning biscuits, sticky marshmallow fluff, warm vanilla toe beans and soft mews under piles of sun-dried cashmere
Wet: Ok don't get upset but wet this smells like diapers to me. Not dirty ones, brand new right out the box ones. I don't dislike it at all, but I was a little worried it would smell like diapers to other people. Anyway diapers, but sugary. However once it's applied to the skin it opens up more and I get a nice doughy situation and a rich tonka bean or something similar.
Dry: This is where it comes out. There's a backing of cashmere as cashmere often smells in perfumes, that lovely sweet musky situation. But it's fronted by sweet biscuits piled with whipped cream heavily flavored with vanilla. It's so warm and delicious. My dog loves it. I love it too, one of my new faves I think. Hopefully I can find some more somewhere 👁️
Now this one, this one actually lasted ages. I started to think I was making it up but this lasted 24 hours on my skin. It's an oil and was still giving me a full cloud 12 hours and a whole sleep later. Faded fully to a skin musk by 16 and finally fully disappeared at 25. Incredible I've literally never seen anything like it. - Does it VB? I honestly didn't try because I was so taken aback by how long it was lasting I didn't want to fuck with the experiment but I'd imagine it'd mix perf. Make it a little strawberry Popeyes biscuit situation.
The Green Ribbon
Crushed velvet, roasted pumpkin seeds, creaking sandalwood floorboards, beheaded flower stems, skin musk, lies and deceit.
Wet: Bitter, green flower sap. Like when you break a flower stem and get that weird plant blood on your hands, smells JUST like that. It's great. There's a hint of true salt in the back. Not that fresh smell folks call salt, real salt like smelling potato chips. Also great. The plant isn't reading as floral yet but I can feel it wanting to.
Dry: The lilac blooms into deliciousness. A gorgeous lilac, sharp and biting and backed by astringency. But it feels like it swirls down into a photo realistic toasted pumpkin seed scent. Specifically when they're fully cooled, nothing warm here for me, but the sense that it used to be warm. I don't smell the sandalwood particularly but I think it's uniting the sharp green floral and the salty seeds, helping to blend them. This one's a morpher, it slowly gets sweeter and sweeter like snow bloom but at some point about 3 hours in, it changed again, dropping any sweetness and becoming a bitter almost savory gourmand. It smells like toasted bread bits in a cast iron. The acridness of the burnt parts, the metallic tint of the cast iron. There's a hint of green here. And then it morphs again another hour later and the lilac comes back? Incredible. A truly bizarre fragrance. I love it very much. It feels like the story in all ways and that story means so so much to me. She really captured it and I'm getting emotional writing this LMFAO.
Again, very good lasting power, about 7 hours overall. - Does it VB? It doesn't, but I wouldn't want it to, ya dig?
Overall I'm incredibly pleased with the Stereoplasm scents I've tried. And if you're one of those I want a scent that yells and lasts all day, def look into the house because lord Jesus! I was impressed with PULPs staying power and still absolutely am but I didn't even know you could get an oil perfume to project a cloud for 16+ hours. I'm very new to the scene so maybe this isn't as unusual as it seems. Anyway, I'd love to try more gourmands from her. Not too many on the site now but sugibrite and snow bloom are both available and I highly recommend them.

2023.11.14 08:02 hate2lurk How to generate outfit ideas, appearance, location, activity, scene prompts.

Just wanted to share this quick tip, how I got through my writer's prompt block for my OC. I used the DanbooruSD bot on Poe.
You can be even more specific, including angles, lighting, poses, etc. I used this for hyperrealistic images on Stable Diffusion, but it could work with anime or anything else with a few edits.
You could even put in the prompt to randomly generate a character. Ie "create a random mythical character with animal traits, unnatural hair color, and a detailed appearance/weapon/scene."
PROMPT:
Pretend you are a personal stylist for my character and pick out his outfits. He is in [age], in a punk band, he has [long/short] [color] hair, [color] eyes, [pale/tan/dark] skin, [freckles], [heavily tattooed]. He likes [boots] and [rings]. He likes designer brands. Think tumblr aesthetic. Be very specific and come up with multiple outfits. He is male. Here's some examples:

black tuxedo, black dress shirt, yves saint laurent bracelet, outside, downtown la
oversized hoodie, fur trim, gray sweatpants
brown loafers, argyle ankle socks, black khakis, sweater vest, long sleeves, ponytail, metal concert
black platform boots, chunky pearl necklace choker, twin braids, photoshoot, black trenchcoat
meme-ify it. ie: watching barbenheimer in a movie theater, at a waffle house, buying drugs in an alley, etc.

And to be these people's scumbag, to be their champion, I'm going to need to be a better wrestler. A better champion. And, God, despite every fiber of my being screaming at me not to, I want to be a fighting champion because not only do these people deserve a fighting champion but AEW deserves a fighting champion! And if being a fighting champion means I have to go toe to toe with possibly the greatest pure athlete in all of professional wrestling then dammit I'll do it. Punk: That’s cute Max, copying what I did when we first met. Just like you copied my catchphrases & my promos. Y’know, they say imitation is the highest form of flattery but I find it hard to be flattered by a thief. A thief who stole my World Championship while I was out for ten months with a ruptured triceps tendon. And what did you do with it? You replaced it with a tacky title belt with a shit stained strap & named it in honour of egomaniac who's almost as big of a scumbag as you.
So, don’t play coy Maxwell, we both know you’re desperate for another brush with greatness.
Punk: Or maybe you aren’t. Maybe you’re scared that after you stand toe to toe with me, you’ll get that chip on your shoulder again. Maybe you’ll get your edge back. Maybe you'll actually be challenged. That would explain why you haven’t responded to anything I’ve said about you or the fact you’ve been dodging me for months. You’re terrified of finding out that, even now, when you’re at the top of the your game, next to the Real World Champion you’ll always be nothing more than second best.
MJF: I am so disappointed in you.
MJF: Were you always like this, man? I mean, we all know I was a fan but even before you turned your back on pro-wrestling, I don’t remember you being such a whiny little bitch. You were the saviour of wrestling who stuck to his convictions, didn’t take anyone’s shit & marched to the beat of your own drum no matter what anybody said. Or was that just the story you told us? Was that the story that we told ourselves? But never mind that. There was one thing you said that had some truth to it. I did make sure not to respond to anything you said about me. But it wasn’t because I was scared, it was because I didn’t want to feed your rotten little ego. And I wasn’t dodging you. I was busy with more important things, like main eventing the biggest wrestling show of all time. Oh, and its funny that you call the Triple B tacky while you’re carrying around what looks like a teen vandal’s cry for help. But, hey, at least you didn’t imitate anyone right, good thing nobody’s ever used black spray paint on a world title before, (Hulk Hogan impression) right, brother? Oh, and crossing out the ‘E’ in All Elite Wrestling, real subtle pal.
But I suppose you’ve never been subtle have you? And It's that lack of subtlety that has created a shit storm of drama around you that, frankly, I wasn’t interested in getting dragged into. Instead of settling your issues like a adult, you threw a tantrum & gave us the Gripe Bomb at All Out 2022. By the way, I’ve been to Mindy’s Bakery - love the Banana “Yum Yum” Coffee Cake, great stuff. What’s not so great is that again & again you put yourself above this company. My company. And you leave a trail of destruction & controversy in your wake. And that was cool when I was a kid. But I grew up. I realised that if you want to be a grown up, as you so often proclaim yourself to be, you need to learn that the world doesn't revolve around you. But instead, you chose to give us Brawl Out.
So, while you were back on your couch in Chicago, I put this company on my back & became the AEW World Champion. Because despite being the guy who won’t shut up about the Bidding War of 2024, I care about this place more than anybody else. So, I became dependable, I became the standard bearer, the one who created must see TV, entertaining these people, my people, every week. Because that’s what it means to be an adult, that’s what it means to be a champion. These people’s champion! And that is something that you will never understand because all you are a self-destructive, bitter old man that drags down everyone around you. And I’m not going to let you do that to me or AEW. Because My Name. Is Maxwell. Jacob. Friedman. And I’m Better Than You… And You Know It!

Match 1: FTR vs. Adam Cole & MJF
Post Match
On-Stage/In-Ring Promo (Mirror)
Punk: That was a good match Maxwell. Really good. But it just was not good enough. Come to think of it, that phrase - not good enough - kinda perfectly encapsulates your title reign, doesn’t it? Sure, you won the championship, my championship, from Jon Moxley, but everyone was too focused on William Regal to notice. You defended your title against Bryan Danielson in a match of the year contender, only for that match to be overshadowed by Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay. And what were you doing on that show? Well, you defeated the legendary Hiroshi Tanahshi, the Ace of New Japan, ....in the middle of the card. But hey, you went on to retain your title against the rest of the Four Pillars but, not in the main event, no, that was reserved for the real stars. The real draws, real draws like me; the Real World Champion.
Punk: See, that's the thing Max, you're just not good enough. And what keeps you up at night, what eats you up inside is that you know I'm right. Maybe you thought you'd be good enough once you got to AEW, once you were on national television. But you weren't. Maybe you thought once you beat The Best in the World, then you'd be good enough. Maybe when you became the AEW World Champion, maybe then, maybe you'd finally be good enough. But you're not. You never will be.
Even now, when people in this arena, hell people in arenas all over the country, chant your name, it must feel you're enough, like everybody loves you. And they might love you, but nobody likes you. Once you stop dancing & once they stop laughing they'll turn on you. Any wrestler worth their salt knows that these people are fickle. They will abandon you! But, hey, you've got plenty of experience with that already. Surely, you're used to it by now right? Let's go down the list; your hero, CM Punk abandoned you when you were just a kid. William Regal crushed your dreams of becoming a Superstar once you had nothing to offer him. Then your mentor, Cody Rhodes, left the company he founded just to get away from you. Then there's The Pinnacle who got out of your orbit as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Hell, even the woman you wanted to start a family, who you'd do anything for, even she couldn't stand to be stuck with you. And, most recently, there's Adam Cole. What's the common factor? Its you Max. Because you're the villain Max. You've always been the villain. Hurt people, hurt people. And that's all they're good for. People like you are supposed to be happy, they aren't supposed to be the hero & they aren't supposed to be the champion. The best thing that you can do for yourself, for the fans & for AEW would be to hand over that title to the "Real" World Champion & let me take things from here.
MJF: There's some truth to what you just said, a little bit. I don't think anyone needed you to recount my life story to know that I struggle in relationships. And I don't know if you're just trying to get in my head or you see something in me that you hate in yourself but what I do know is that you don't believe everything you just said. You said, "Hurt people, hurt people", you've said it before & I think you're right but where you're wrong is that "That's all they're good for". You don't believe that. Because if you did, you wouldn't have tried to reach out to & give me a chance before our Dog Collar match. You said you look yourself in the mirror every morning & ask yourself are you the good guy. You said you were trying. And you did try but I was too blinded by hate to see that, I took advantage of you & I'm sorry for that. I can't change what I've done, all I can do is make amends & pay that kindness forward. All I can do is try.
Punk: Oh, I get it. You think you're better than me. I should've picked up on that from the catchphrase, you're welcome for that by the way. But, you're not better than me, Max. I'm the Best in the World. You're nothing like me. Right now, these people may want you as the face of AEW, the champion of AEW but I am what they need. I am what AEW needs. And what it needs is the Real World Champion.
MJF: Alright, Punk, you're not hearing me, so how about this. There's only room for one World Champion in AEW. So, at Full Gear, the pay per view where I became the AEW World Champion one year ago, we're going to have a match. Our final match. A unification match with both titles on the line. Whoever wins will be the Undisputed AEW World Champion. But, under one condition. I want this match to be definitive. This match needs to be between the two best wrestlers in AEW, so, every week until Full Gear we're going to defend our titles against an opponent of the other's choosing because even now I can't resist having people jump through hoops before a big pay per view match. But, in all seriousness, I want the Best in the World at his best because if either us aren't world champion by the time we get to Full Gear then that man doesn't deserve to be the world champion. What do you say Punk?

In-Ring Segment:
Punk: Its funny, Max, you said you were disappointed in me but shouldn't you be disappointed in yourself, in your title reign. Even if you did defend it against the best in the industry but you've been overshadowed at every turn. And it sure wasn't been helped by you following Adam Cole like a lost puppy, practicing your tight five for the comedy clubs. What happened to you? What happened to the guy lashed his mentor with a belt, who hit a seventy year old, with a history of brain bleeds, in the back of the head with brass knuckles, the guy that beat me bloody & had me hanged over these ropes by a chain? What happened to The Devil?
Punk: The Devil's gone soft.
MJF: Said by literally the softest man alive.
MJF: And that's not the guy I want to face at Full Gear. I thought that by fighting week in & week out you'd find the real CM Punk. The CM Punk that your fans want you to be, that I want you to be. I want the CM Punk that returned on Rampage: The First Dance, excited to be a part of, not wresting business, but the sport of wrestling! The art of wrestling! I want the CM Punk who broke into tears when the crowd sang his Ring of Honour theme back to him at Revolution 2022! I want the CM Punk who fell back in love with professional wrestling. Because if that's not the CM Punk I get at Full Gear, if I get the CM Punk that goes into business for himself, the CM Punk that talks about being "The Truth" & speaking to power while also bragging about some corporate, douchebag executive calling him "One Bill Phil", if that's the CM Punk I get at Full Gear then I promise you this, I will put you in the ground.
Punk (Mirror): You have no idea do you? I'm trying to run a business here you empty-headed, dumb fuck. You have been jeopardising this company for almost a year now. You are a disgrace to this industry & you're a disgrace to this company. You've had your time in the sun, good for you, but ultimately, you're a transitional champion. Or at least you should have been. You should have handed over that title when I gave you a chance & apologised for not doing it sooner. But, we're far past apologises now. You had your chance, it did not get handled & so you've seen what I've had to do, lowering myself to your level. I'm hurt, I'm old & I'm tired of being in the ring with children like you. Talking to me about the sport & the art of wrestling, grow up. I'm trying to make money & sell tickets. That's what I do & that's a world champion does. A real world champion.
Punk: Because, that's what's best for business.
MJF: A Corporate Punk, what's the world coming to, huh? Well, I'll make this quick. When I returned to AEW at All Out 2022, I didn't do it because Tony Khan asked me to, I didn't even do it for the ridiculous amount of money he gave me. No, I did it because you had a match against Jon Moxley for the world title. And I knew you were going to win, I could feel it in my bones. And you did. So I knew when I returned, I was going to get my rubber match, I was going to become the world champion by beating CM Punk & definitively proving that I was better than the best in the world. So, I came out on the stage & I let you know I was going to take that title from you. Or so I thought. But you went & got yourself injured again didn't you?
But not only did you get injured, no, you gave us the Gripe Bomb & Brawl Out. And just like that, nobody cared about my return, or our rubber match, no, all they could talk about was you. The only time anyone talked about me was to complain about how I ruined a perfectly good ladder match. So, to kill two birds with one stone how about I get my rubber match & I make it up to these people by giving them the greatest ladder match they've ever seen!
Punk: I know a thing or two about ladder matches & the image of two title belts hanging above the ring appeals to the wrestling historian in me. But let me make this clear Max, for you, this might be the greatest ladder match in history. But for me it's just going to be Saturday. Its going to be little more than a footnote in my forever title reign at the top of AEW as the Real World Champion.
Schiavone: Its official. This tomorrow night, Sunday, November 18th, at Full Gear it will be the "Real" World Champion, CM Punk, versus the AEW World Champion, MJF, in a ladder match to crown the Undisputed AEW World Champion.

Nov 19th, Full Gear:
Match 1: Adam Cole vs. Jay White - AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament Final
Main Event: MJF [c] vs. CM Punk [c] - AEW World Championship Unification, Ladder Match
