2024.05.15 11:29 xBrutalBear Seeking advice for warehouseing/WMS solution

Hello,
I'm currently interning at a medium-sized company that manufactures beds, and my job is to look into Warehouse Management System (WMS). Now, I'm not exactly a tech expert, but I'm trying to figure out how it could help us out.
So, here's the deal with our warehouse: it's kind of a mess. Stuff goes missing all the time, and it's a pain to find anything. We're still doing things the old-fashioned way, with no real system in place. It's like a game of hide and seek, but nobody's having any fun. They have 2 warehouse employees and a capacity of about 1900 pallets in their storage racks. Their solution: WMS-system.
What I would like for them is barcode labeling and scanner implementation to get more control over goods, and structuring the warehouse in SKU's. I would like software that could help with managing these SKU's and with barcoding.
I think a WMS would benefit the company. In order to future-proof this warehouse they need information about the warehousing of their goods, procurement is not very optimized either, a lot of old goods remain in the warehouse and there's no overview. Things I would like for the warehouse to optimise are:
Now problems with a WMS are:
I would like a WMS solution but I am not sure if it's the best solution and I have trouble finding solutions that would help with supporting the improvements I think would really benefit the company. I am worried about advising a WMS solution because of the problems that could arise with ERP and their current processes, possibly increasing costs by A LOT. The company is not that big, less than 100 employees. I am worried that their current processes are not really compatible with WMS systems, the budget is not enormous, one vendor offered for 40k+ >2k yearly costs but I find this pricy.
I would really appreciate if someone can help, it feels like a mess and I find trouble navigating through it.

2024.05.15 11:03 swedishplayer97 [FNV - Help] Game runs fine then just freezes or crashes after 5 minutes

So I followed Viva New Vegas (mostly), and then decided to add a whole bunch of mods on top of it. I've been modding for over a decade so I thought I could work it out, but no. It runs fine for the entire introduction at Doc Mitchell's, but as soon as I go outside, it runs for only a few minutes before either crashing or freezing. And it crashes as soon as I enter the Prospector Saloon too. I've tried disabling mods, re-installing mods, altering the load order, removing LODs, tried outdated versions of mods but I just can't figure out what's going on. Here is my load order:

Hi there, how are you? I would like to know you.
Just a heads-up first: I'm seeking someone who resides in or near Switzerland, which includes Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. Additionally, I won't respond to messages that just say "Hey," "Hey you," "Hi," or "Hello."
Now that's settled, let me to introduce myself:
I'm a 25-year-old , standing tall at 1.87m. I reside in a charming little village near Zurich, and I'm speak Swiss German, German, and English.
I'm someone who thrives on laughter and enjoys exploring new adventures with company. While I'm mostly indoor, I equally cherish moments at biking hiking chilling by the lake or jetting off on travels.
Describing myself, I'd say I place high value on affection and empathy, though I can be a bit shy now and then. Cooking and baking are my passions, and I adore experimenting with recipes from various cultures around the globe.
Also, I'm a huge anime and gaming fan, so if you share that interest, bonus points!
I'm on the lookout for a kind, loving woman who invests in building a genuine relationship and can take the initiative. Also I'm not into one-sided connections otherwise I'm open.
Love hearing from you!

2024.05.15 08:18 MaeBorrowski How many cases did Phoenix get paid for in the trilogy?

Okay, not made a lengthy but useless post in a while to chill off, and nows the perfect time since I am very exhausted.
So, title basically. I am going to try and see how manh cases Phoenix actually got paid for in the trilogy, and if it's a toss between pro bono and paid, I'll go with the latter since... It makes more sense I think.
Anyways, the First Turnabout. It's pro bono, do I have to explain?
Second, Turnabout Sisters. Again, pro bono, at first I thought it was because Maya is broke and a literal child but then again she probably tried to pay him with Mia's money given that she's probably the heir to Mia, but yeah, even still Phoenix would no doubt decline because the case is regarding his mentor's death and the client is her sister he practically adopts post this case so yeah.
Turnabout Samurai is fucking bank for Phoenix. I don't think he'd really feel guilty taking money from my main man Powers and I am pretty sure Powers being the sweetheart he is probably gave him a crazy amount as fee (way more than the average sum for an already high profile case) seeing that he's so rich. It might just be the highest paying case Phoenix worked on in the series actually, even after the trilogy, and the case that made him a public legend figure as displayed in DD (it still doesn't make sense, but.. that's the best we can make of it)
After thinking about it, Turnabout Goodbyes is probably bank too, in fact I am pretty sure Phoenix got payed a lot by Miles, not to say Phoenix wouldn't decline, but I doubt Miles would have that and likely paid him a generous amount, which again, is probably higher than the standard fee.
Rise from the Ashes is kind of a coin toss, but I am genuinely leaning on bank. Again, Phoenix obviously wouldn't accept payment from Ema since again, she's a fucking child, but Lana like Miles likely insisted and paid him nonetheless for saying her sister, not to mention a somewhat cheap government reward maybe for bringing down a high ranking government official.
Reunion and Turnabout is pro bono. Maya and Phoenix are close enough now that they don't Maya doesn't have to even try to pay him because she knows he wouldn't accept it.
Lost Turnabout is pro bono at worst and a very cheap voluntarily fee at worst. Phoenix likely didn't expect nor wanted any actual money from it, seeing as the detectives are so underpaid, yes, that includes Maggey, and since Phoenix is doing a favour for Gumshoe.
Turnabout Big Top is the second third case and it's again, by far the highest paying case in the game. It's not very hard to see why, Max like Will is also a celebrity even if to a lesser extent, and Max is probably thankful to Phoenix for resolving the shitstorm that is the circus, but then again who knows what that loser thinks. Still, bank.
Farewell, My Turnabout, by far my favourite case in the series and nothing even comes close, but for Phoenix? One would assume it was "pro bono" given the whole blackmail thing and the fact that Matt got convicted by the end of it, but then I remembered that's now how lawyers work, you pay them in advance and live with it even if they fuck up. So I am guessing Matt's manager probably transferred Phoenix a large sum when he took on the case, comparable to Turnabout Samurai even. I know what you are saying, Matt is too evil to do that, but I am pretty sure he doesn't mind paying the lawyer man, he's rich enough that it likely doesn't matter, and the blackmail only really started when Phoenix figured everything out.
Stolen Turnabout is the first case where Phoenix probably got payed the average fee lol. Mind you the average fee is also quite expensive but it's not an extreme, and I doubt Phoenix even felt any need to decline payment since he's clients are literal criminals, and they probably have a lot of money in the trunk considering they don't get convicted due to double jeopardy (which is fucking idiotic, being 'mask demasque' isn't a charge).
Recipe for Turnabout is a low voluntary fee, given it's Maggey again.
Bridge to the Turnabout is back to the basics, going full pro bono, which is funny since this case is likely the single most strenuous one Phoenix has to handle until now lol.
So yeah, surprisingly, when I looked at it, Phoenix got paid a lot 6 cases, one of which was the average fee (which is still quite high for a murder trial in which Pheonix literally overturns the entire findings of the cops), and 7 cases where he went either pro bono or received a very low fee for the effort. It actually makes somewhat sense to me, at first I thought it was stupid how Phoenix could sustain himself and Maya but when you look at it he likely got paid a lot when he did, now of course he takes massive gaps between cases, but they show him being stingy so I don't think it's a stretch to think he survives if he lives like an upper lower class man.

2024.05.15 07:39 SleepisAlientoMe 32m anywhere I'll probably end up falling asleep

So...
I like games and play on Xbox and PlayStation. Helldivers 2 is my go-to at the moment. I enjoy shooters and action games and the occasional city builder or rts on pc.
I like cooking and so far I haven't gotten sick or made someone else sick so you can say I'm like the Gordon Ramsay of cooking something edible. I do look at recipes in terror and sometimes actually cook them.
Was a huge reader until the fire nation blessed me with sudden ADD or HD or 8k or whatever. Still have the Dune sequels to read. Big warhammer 40k novel enjoyer too.
I like coffee too.
I also don't mind sharing selfies. Not a creep. I do say stupid things cause I have the humor of a 12 year old. Also dark humor. I'm what they call a goofy goober. So yeah. Hit me up. Ask questions if you want to know anything else.

2024.05.15 06:42 Dumpman12 It was fun.

Kinda sucks that the team got gassed and outplayed. No Offense and decent defense. The only promising thing I can see was we set the tone 2 - 0 we made them bleed and woken up the beast. Kinda sucks we don't have a reply to them. Timberwolves could have won the series if not because of the foul calls, Jamal heatpads nor the favoritism but they lost the capacity to remember how to play. I hate how Ant went nuclear game 4 but Kat still a no show. The line up of trying to not include a stretch big if Rudy or slowmo is in. There is no balance in the lineup they sitting down players like flies. Offense of Jaden, Naw and Reid vanished. Rudy got outplayed again and again. Nobody can beat denver. We seriously need to trade for bench pieces this off season or atleast pray to God Jaden can be the 3rd option on offense cause he is shit and paying one dimensional players for a a huge contract is not the recipe. So fuck you nori for your obsession with SLOWMO TRADE THAT MOTHER FUCKER OUT. SLOPPY MOTHER FUCKER.

2024.05.15 05:55 CFlyn The Underrated Thing About Caps Is He Makes The Game About Himself

I vaguely remember Bwipo also stating something similar but let me elaborate on it.
People tend to look at laning stats / KDA when trying to compile a GOAT List of mid laners. A lot of the time arguments revolve around their KDA / their worst season / their best season.
Caps has a play style that no other mid laner in world has and it makes him more successful with weaker players compared to his Korean counterparts like Chovy(who is the best player in an individual sense right now without any discussion
In every single teamfight you will see Caps spearheading the fight if he is not playing with Miky who also has this attribute. In laning phase you will see Caps sacrifice his lane to roam over and over again. Only DoinB was better than him in this sense (See the teleport in game 2 to bot lane which effectively won game resulting in Kogmaw snowballing rather than Draven snowballing). You will see him actively looking for picks and trying ways to bring his team back into the game rather than farming passively. Faker is the other mid laner who is notoriously good at this historically. His champion pool and the flexibility he brings in draft again is again unmatched. Because of his champion ocean he adapts to any meta.
Whenever he is in lane he will take so many risks that enemy jungler and support will always camp mid lane allowing his junglesupport to do whatever they want in map. One of the main reasons Yike and Miky had godlike games was because Meiko and Tian legit got outplayed like 20 different times trying to gank mid. That is also why someone like Targamas looks at least LEC material when playing with Caps and looks so much worse without him. The same thing can be said for every player Caps has ever played with. For almost all lother mid laners only goal in early game is to give themselves the best lane state possible without thinking about the other ways they can help their team play the game. You will almost never see jungler of Caps ganking mid more than enemy jungle as he doesn't waste his team's resources for no reason calling for unnecessary ganks to get ahead in lane.
There are seasons where this approach makes his stats look really bad like 2021 when he plays with a tilted passive mentally boomed team where no one else is trying to do anything active with the space he provides. Combine it with a TF-Ryze meta where enemy mid laner can just click W on you and this is a recipe for disaster. But this is the main reason why Caps has : 1 MSI Title 2 World Championship Finals 1 World Championship Semi final with European teammates
while someone like Chovy who I said is best in an individual sense has : 1 World Championship Semi Final and nothing else in his resume even though he played with the likes of Tarzan Viper Lehends Doran Deft Keria Pyosik Ruler Peanut.
2018 is a great example for this. It was only 2nd year of Caps where he wasn't as good as today. In fact- Rekless/Hyli were the better performing players by far in that Worlds. However one of the reasons they performed so well was Caps playing ultra aggro all the time soaking all the pressure and making a worse game state for himself which have his bot lane a much easier game. He had a Rookie Bwipo and Broxah for god's sake. Even his heavily criticized Taliyah game in Game 5 against T1 is an example of this where he sacrifices his lane to put Hans in a position to carry the game. He can just stay mid and look good in stats against Faker whom he dominated in lane almost all series but that doesn't give him a better chance to win the game.

2024.05.15 05:46 Kirenia_Ayako How best should I go about cooking a modification of a family recipe?

Ok so we have a family recipe for Crunchy Garlic Chicken that I'm playing around with an I decided I wanted to make the mix for it but instead of coat a chicken breast with it, I would instead mix it into ground chicken then make it into a patty and cook it. Now my question is how best would I cook this? Should I cook it like a hamburger patty or place it into the oven and cook it like the recipe says (at 425 for 35 minutes until cooked through). I should also add that I am using ground turkey this time as I couldn't find ground chicken anywhere and don't own any kind of meat grinder nor can I afford one.

2024.05.15 04:53 TheDesiPlayboy Iron and Spices: Building Muscle Pt. 1

So there I am, The Desi Playboy, back in my scrawny college days, just a couple of lean dudes fresh off a bar-hopping spree, chilling at the bus stop. Out of nowhere, this hulk of a caucasoid frat bro comes up, gives me a slap on the back that damn near sends me flying into next Tuesday. "Owww!!" I couldn't help but yelp. Dude struts past us, throwing over his shoulder, "Time to hit the gym, boys!!" I brushed it off, ego slightly bruised. After all, I'm the guy who’s been repping out with 20 lb dumbbells in my apartment gym like I’m training for the Olympics. That’s got to count for something, right?
Growing up, our idea of exercise was running away from aunties at family gatherings or maybe the occasional cricket match that was more about snacks than sports. The gym? That was uncharted territory. Our parents, bless their hearts, equated physical fitness with being able to sprint for the bus without wheezing. The notion of lifting weights, tracking macros, and chugging protein shakes was as alien to them as ketchup on biryani.

Attraction: It’s More than Just Physical

Have you ever had a girl flirtatiously squeeze your biceps, reinforcing the stud that you are? How about playfully slapping your ass when you’re not looking? That moment, my man, is raw, primal attraction at its finest—a kind of magnetism most men sadly never get to feel. Are you getting that type of attention from the ladies? Going to the gym and lifting weights is the first step into becoming that fuckable specimen. Picture this: you're strutting around, radiating confidence, and women gravitate to you, captivated, before you even utter a word. Arguably, muscles on a man is the equivalent of nice tits and ass on a woman. It's like you've got this invisible force field of allure, and all it took was a little sweat, discipline, and iron at the gym.
Think about it. In a world where first impressions are made in the blink of an eye, your body speaks volumes before you've even had a chance to dazzle with your wit or charm. It's not superficial; it's literally science. Physical fitness signals health, vigor, and, let's be real, the ability to handle business, whether that's lifting heavy things during a move or just looking damn good in a fitted shirt. An unfortunate reality is that women often manipulate men to get their needs met. However, men can simply manipulate the environment themselves to get their needs met. You think your crush is opening those pickle jars by herself? A nice, jacked body signals to women that you are good at manipulating your immediate physical surroundings.
So, if you're lounging on the fence, wondering whether hitting the gym is worth it, let me spell it out for you: Hell yes, it is. Not for the fleeting attention or the shallow compliments, but for the undeniable boost in how you perceive yourself and, subsequently, how the world sees you including women. It's about becoming a magnet not just for looks, but for respect, confidence, and yes, a whole lot of that good old-fashioned primal attraction.
Get ready to be the guy who walks into a room and commands it, not because you demand it, but because you've earned it, one rep at a time. Let's ditch the excuses, embrace the grind, and transform not just our bodies, but our entire damn aura. The iron calls, gentlemen.

Built Different

Our Desi genes serve us a mixed platter when it comes to body types. Some of us are fat fucks, while others are fragile twigs no matter how many samosas we demolish. For those of you guys on the overweight side.. Do you have Ananth Ambani money? No? Then you literally can’t afford that body if you want pussy. And if you can afford that body it is gonna bite you in the ass when you have heart disease.
Those of you scrawny sticks? Stop looking down at the more muscular bros and start looking at the women they’re pulling. Don’t get me started on that weird gray area a lot of us brown dudes fall into. I’m talking about the skinny fat phenomenon—a term as oxymoronic as 'jumbo shrimp'. It’s that peculiar body type where you look slim clothed but are a marshmallow in disguise. It’s the bane of many a Desi dude, a sneaky reminder of all those laddoos and no leg days. Ready to get rid of the bitch tits?
Look around at the next family gathering. Notice how cousin Rohan is built like a tank, but you got that uncle bod? That’s your first clue that genetics play a bigger role in this game than you might’ve thought. Tailoring your workout to your body type isn’t just smart; it’s crucial if you want to see real, lasting results.
Custom Cuts: Here’s the deal—
Alright, which of these body types are you rocking? Lean Machine, Easy Gainer, or Natural Athlete? Time to design a workout routine that suits your unique build. Yes, The Desi Playboy is dishing out homework, but trust me, it’s for a mighty good cause: to make you irresistible to the ladies. Now before we actually start integrating that workout routine let’s not forget to revisit the food on our plate.

Desi Diet Doom

The Desi diet is a freakin’ carb fest—a glorious, tasty trap that’s basically a middle finger to your muscle gains and fat loss goals. You probably recognize the following: plates piled high with rice, naan, and rotis, with a side of “Are you even eating enough?” from every relative. Navigating this when you’re trying to get ripped or ditch the belly fat is like being on a diet in a candy store.
Every meal’s a carb carnival, and while you love it, your body’s begging like, “Bro, where’s the protein?” It's like trying to build a house with all bricks and no cement. And oh, the ghee and oil. Delicious? Hell yeah. Conducive to abs? Hell no. It’s like slathering your goals with butter—tasty but terribly counterproductive. Add to that the mountain of sweets at every family function—those jalebis and gulab jamuns are seductive, but they’re saboteurs hiding in plain sight, wrecking your waistline one sweet bite at a time. If you’re gunning for that sculpted look, it might be time to negotiate a peace treaty with your sweet tooth and get serious about sneaking more lean meats and greens onto your plate.
Now let’s be honest, are you cooking all these Indian meals yourself? Or have you become completely dependent on your mom’s cooking? Is the extent of your cooking skills limited to boiling water and maybe, on a good day, making a mean cup of chai? Let me guess you top off the chai with some of Amma’s sweet sweet titty milk too? Listen up, because here’s the deal breaker—women are attracted to guys who’ve got their life sorted, including what’s on their plate. And if you’re letting mom choose whether it’s dal or paneer for dinner tonight, don’t be surprised if she’s also the one choosing your bride.
This, my dudes, is precisely why I’m all about preaching the gospel of DIY in the kitchen. It’s more than just about mixing spices; it’s about mixing independence into your life recipe. Grabbing the reins of your culinary journey isn’t just about impressing dates; it’s about fueling your body right, especially if you’re looking to bulk up and carve out those gains.

Protein Power Moves

There’s a way to keep the flavors of home without turning into a samosa yourself. It’s about being smart with your choices, making swaps, and still being able to face your grandma without guilt.
Lean and Mean: Start mixing in more lean meats, tofu, and legumes. Think chicken tikka, dal tadka with less tadka, and grilled paneer. Your muscles will thank you. But why stop there? Venture beyond with dishes like Thai grilled chicken or Turkish lentil soup. These global cuisines offer high-protein dishes that still dance on the tongue.
Smart Swaps: Ditch the white rice for quinoa or brown rice. Swap some of those rotis for a big-ass bowl of salad. Sprinkle some Mediterranean zest with a Greek salad, or bring a burst of Japanese flavor with a side of edamame. It’s about keeping the essence of Desi cuisine but making it work for your gains.
Supplement Smartly: Yeah, protein shakes might look like drugs to your folks, but they’re your BFFs on this journey. Mix that stuff with some milk or water, and chug. Think of it as a cheat code for muscle building—quick, efficient, and straight to the point.
Explore and Expand: Don’t be shy to sprinkle some culinary curiosity into your diet. Try Korean BBQ for a protein-packed meal, or if you're feeling adventurous, a Peruvian ceviche can offer a refreshing twist packed with high-quality protein. These flavors not only enhance your palate but also fuel your fitness goals.
So, there you have it. Turning the Desi diet dilemma into a muscle-building manifesto doesn’t have to be a soap opera. Keep the flavors, ditch the excess carbs and fats, and for the love of all that is holy, make protein your main homie. Expand your culinary horizons to keep your meals exciting and your body guessing.

From Diet to Dates

Alright, my fellow Desi bros, let’s wrap this up. If you’re serious about leveling up your game with the ladies, it’s time to get real about your diet, fitness, and lifestyle. Tailor your workout to your body type—whether you're an ectomorph, endomorph, or mesomorph—and make the gym your second home. Ditch the carb-loaded Desi diet for protein-packed meals. Whether you’re eating lean meats or are a vegetarian, make smart swaps like quinoa for white rice and grilled paneer for fried snacks.
Start cooking for yourself to fuel those gains and show you’ve got your life together. These changes lay the foundation for attracting women by boosting your confidence and health. The journey starts now. Let’s make those gains and turn some heads. The iron awaits, gentlemen.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll dive into lifting and integrating your workout routine to get you on track.
