2024.05.14 16:24 Ill-Owl-2701 Navigo Easy Pass - Paris 2024- Olympics - Questions

I will be heading to Paris during the Olympics but not really attending any of the festivities…..it was a pre planned vacation .
I recently found out that after a certain date the previous Navigo easy or decouverte won’t be sold and we have to now purchase the Paris ALL IN ONE pass which is super expensive and inconvenient if you don’t plan on going to many places .
I found out that we can purchase the Navigo easy pass if you have a qualifying android device . My questions are :
If I purchase the card on an android device , would I be able to transfer it to an iPhone under the same account/owner ?
Can the card on the android device be scanned into one the same account on an iPhone ? Seeing as though iPhones also have the NFC feature
When the iPhone finally gets the same ability to purchase the cards only will the previously purchased card on the android appear in the new phone ?
And when will the iPhone finally receive this benefit of purchasing the pass online ?

2024.05.14 16:10 1933mk Text messages abroad for globe phone

I tried to pay my globe phone bill while traveling abroad, but I need to get an OTP or code. The issue: my phone would not function on any network. I can't get any messages or calls. Is there an option to have it send over WiFi signal instead of standard networks? Like T-Mobile in the US, where I can use my phone over any WiFi. Is there any setting on an android or iPhone that will allow this? Thanks in advance

2024.05.14 16:09 dylon0107 Lost voicemail

Back when me and my wife got together in 2019 she had an iPhone and in March her father died, she had a voicemail of his saved but lost it when she transferred phones to Android.
She's recently started regretting not trying to figure out how to get it back. Is there anyway it's still saved on a server somewhere to be able to recover it?
Yes it was saved and I have a different old iPhone 6s in a drawer from beeper mini I can reset to try to get it back with.

2024.05.14 16:06 mebuscat Do the iPhone and iPad app differ? Pros & Cons ?

Since the Apple Event last week, I am thinking about buying the updated iPad Air.
As Marvis will obviously one of my most used apps on the iPad, I was wondering what the differences are between the small and the big screen. Are there areas where the iPad app is superior to the iPhone app or is everything "only" bigger?
Screenshots are welcome too :)

2024.05.14 15:57 Kasatkas My iphone contacts list is showing up in my boyfriend's android phone

I have not logged in on any of my accounts in his phone ever. The only thing we can think of that might be causing it is that we share our google calendar events with each other, however I don't think I logged into google calendar on his phone to do that. I've been doing a lot of searches to try to figure out how to turn this off, as I have work contacts on my phone that he doesn't need to have, but I'm coming up short. Google search ain't what it used to be. Can someone point me in the right direction - is this a setting in my iphone, or do I need to be looking in a google calendar forum?

2024.05.14 15:34 dwightshruteisamood Which is the best option ?

I really need to buy a new phone and also want to buy an iPad (iPad can wait). So currently I have a few options
  1. iPhone 15
  2. Google Pixel 7 and iPad Air
  3. iPhone 13/14 and iPad 10th Gen
Which of these is the best option considering there's a budget cap. I can wait for the iPad for a few months. But which of these would be the best deal ?
Which would be the best option if i want to wait for a few months.

2024.05.14 15:22 gugugaga1337 Which one to choose?

I don't know what headphones to buy: Airpods Max or Sony XM5?
A lot of people say that if you have an Apple device then buy AirPods Max but what should I do if I only have an iPhone and all my other devices are Android or Windows? Right now I have TWS Samsung Buds 2 Pro and I'm really tired of them.. Also, after switching from Samsung Flip to Iphone, the sound in them is very bad... I listen to different genres of music mostly R&B, EDM and kPop, I also really like to listen to songs with lots of vocals, harmonies(and songs with some kind of punchy bass) I have watched a lot of videos comparing these two pairs of headphones in terms of sound, but it's still hard (because they say that the Sony sound terrible out of the box, but you can make them sound good with EQ) I tried to listen to music in both of them. Personally, I prefer APM as they sound clearer for me, but Sony sound muddy and quieter?? but again the EQ thing...
I don't care about the price and they also both sit on my head perfectly without any headaches.
I want to know your opinion, would I regret getting the Sony? I also heard that Iphone does not support LDAC codec and people write that the sound becomes terrible because of that.... (my English is bad sorry)

2024.05.14 15:11 zigithor Pairing a Key Card with 2022 Kona N

I decided recently to get an NFC key card to pair with my 2022 Hyundai Kona N. This way I can leave the house with just my house key, wallet, and phone.
Suffice it to say, only after receiving the card and messing with it did I realize YOU CAN NOT PAIR A KEY CARD TO YOUR CAR WITHOUT AN ANDROID PHONE. There's an app you need to do it and its simply not available on apple. Of course I don't understand how all this works on the back end, but it seems crazy to me that I need a phone to connect the card to my car. It seems absolutely arbitrary to me and as far as I can tell if you own an Iphone your just SOL.
Does anyone know if the dealership can set up the key card without an android? Does anyone know a work-around or should I just try to return the card?

2024.05.14 14:53 J4ywolf Android emulator that runs 64-bit games?

Hello! So three of my favourite games (and one mystery series games) are no longer available on my phone, I assume they are 64-bit only now.
Samsung A11 - supports 32bit games only
The games are: Refind Self, Toram and SKY COTL
while the (almost) Trilogy mystery series is: Forsaken Souls
I have tried downloading the apk files and they just won't download. Soooo I figured I'd try an android emulator on my imac.
I have tried: Bluestacks X and Nox app player.
Nox only supports 32-bit games, Bluestacks X seems to barely have games.
NOTE: I tried downloading Bluestacks 4, but it wouldn't even boot up and kept crashing. I'm not even sure if Bluestacks 4 Mac version supports 64-bit games.
My iMac's specs are (just incase it's important):
macOS Big Sur - 11.7.10
Retina 5k, 2017
processor - 4.2 GHz Quad-core intel core i7
Memory - 16GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Graphics - Radeon Pro 580 8GB
NOTE: I also tried looking up iphone emulators and truly didn't understand much of what I read lol
So, does anyone know of any Android emulators for imac that can run 64-bit games?
EDIT: Yes I'm aware that Toram, SKY COTL and Refind self are on Steam - Windows only support, no Mac support.

2024.05.14 14:43 nziff Auto Answer Calls on Teams Apps

Hi all,
I have been having this issue on my Teams apps on iOS and android where my calls are answered automatically. For instance, if I get a call on Teams, both my desktop app and phone start ringing. After about 5 or so seconds my phone will pick up the call and I have to transfer it to my desktop. Doing some digging I see some posts about bluetooth headphones or handsets being the issue but the only bluetooth device I have connected to my phone is my watch. When the same issue was happening with my iPad I didn't have any bluetooth audio devices connected. Would love any direction to fix this, thank you!

Google maps/waze integration with digital cockpit!
So I just got my V1 e-Hybrid last week and enjoying the car so far. Something which I found hasn't been mentioned anywhere in forums etc was that if you're using an android phone. In my case it's a Google Pixel 8 Pro, haven't tried any other android to see if it's the same result. When I use the navigation in android auto via Google Maps or waze it shows the next directions in digital cockpit on the right hand side if you select the compass there which I find really useful sometimes as you don't have to look at whole maps all the time. It dies however works with Apple carplay regardless of whichever maps are used, that I have tested witb iPhone 12 V1 is not full of so many options and I think I have tried most of the things I found around infotainment system in a week or so but if there are any other tips on what I could possibly be missing out on, would appreciate that!

2024.05.14 14:08 themikebowers Razer Edge, Kishi, or GCloud?

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a handheld for my cloud gaming. For context: my gaming would be via GeForce Now, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and streaming from my PS5. I tried the Backbone on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but the screen was too small for my liking. I was looking at a few different options:
  1. Razer Edge - Verizon offered me the Edge for $11.41/month for 36 months, 5G service included.
  2. Razer Kishi with an iPad Mini attached.
  3. GCloud
I also thought keeping an eye out for a discounted ROG Ally, as Best Buy has been frequently discounting the Z1 model - there was an open box near me for $330 a few weeks ago. But having a full-blown PC isn't necessary. I mainly want something portable, light, and dependable.
Folks who have used any or all of these options, I'd love any feedback, particularly around the Kishi/Mini combo. Also, if there's other options I'm not thinking of I'd appreciate those suggestions.
TIA!

2024.05.14 13:37 AussieRobinHood Which smartphone? Australia

Hi I’m looking for a fairly basic smartphone, under about $600aud for a non-profit organisation which I’m on the committee for.
We need to be able to access 4G and 5G, need decent battery life, an easy readable screen (committee is mostly older volunteers) and of course it must be able to run a few apps which we use to run our eftpos machine and manage emails etc. Don’t care much about camera, won’t be gaming.
Personally I only use apple, that won’t work, the only iPhones under $600AUD seem to have a small screen. I honestly don’t know where to start with Android. Thanks for any suggestions, even if it’s just what not to get 🙏🏼

2024.05.14 13:06 Codemonky What options are there for productivity?

I really like the idea of nebula, though, I'm a bit disappointed in the execution. I have a multi-monitor setup, but, I'd still like an AR monitor that I can control the size and position of. And, I don't need my physical monitors mirrored, I just want an extra AR screen.
But, my delima forces me to ask, what else is out there that will work with the Xreal? I assume Viture's stuff only works with their glasses.
Or, any tips with Nebula on Mac to add one or two 1-4k monitors over or next to my physical ones? I really like how Nebula can place the virtual screens outside of the physical ones so you can see both with the glasses on. I don't like just using them as a monitor, because they'll prevent me from seeing physical screens easily.
Any ideas?
EDIT: My main workstation is a mac, but I also own an iphone and ipad if that helps with suggesting ideas.
