a little while back I posted here about a situation I was in, though now have extra info to add into the mix and wondered if you could help again. I've been trying for months, not actively but every time I need a TG account i'm reminded that it just won't let me. It seems like it's literally impossible for me to create an account I have no idea what to do.
What I tried so far:
Bought several "one time activation" SMS on paid services, usually work for 99% of online registration that requires a phone number. I probably tested over 100 phone numbers at this point and not a single one worked for TG.
Bought an actual phone number with a subscription in a european country using monero too, since I wanted to keep my privacy. Once again didn't work, didn't receive anything. Always the same message that I need to check my telegram app for the code they sent me. Except it's a brand new number that's never been used before, and I didn't receive any sms either.
Tried a few other phone services in crypto before giving up entirely and accepting I wouldn't be able to get an while preserving my privacy.
I went to a physical store and registered a new phone number with a new sim card and all, put the sim card in my phone and tried the process again with this brand new number that I had just bought myself, activated and tested on several services to make sure it worked fine. Well as you guessed it, I had the exact same issue. Which is driving me crazy.
But it doesn't stop there.
I tried all that on my other phone, because I thought maybe since i'm using LineageOS on my main phone there could be an issue within the app and google services or whatever. So I tried on my secondary phone which has stock android installed, and the same thing happened.
Thought it could be linked to my VPN, which is my own VPS where i'm hosting my VPN so it shouldn't be blacklisted or whatever but still, I tried with commercial vpns too, and then I gave up and just used my home connection but the problem remains still. I have no idea what could cause that, it's not related to the OS, not related to the ip address, not related to my country (i tried a few different countries), definitely not related to the phone numbers or even the phone themselves (and their OS). I even tried to set up an account using a VM.
What kind of black magic does telegram use to actively prevent me from creating an account ? I've had ONE account in the past, on my old number, that I lost after changing phones and now I can't even activate it. It's not like i'm botting the system or trying to create millions of accounts, I just want a SINGLE account to use TG like a normal person (to shitpost on private groups). I'm going crazy, is my only way to get an account to buy one "officially" using TON on fragment ? From what I see the min bid is like 20TON so around $150 for a number ? AS A LAWYER I tell you beside the reasons listed above this is absolutely unthinkable. A guy with his history related to the stock and his popularity in the community is considered a person of public interest who has the ability of influencing public opinion (not saying that he does just telling you the legal definition). As such he has an increased responsibility with regard to his actions and expressions as we saw when he had to appear at the congress hearing and as we can regularly experience when influencers and popular people get in trouble due to their association with a product. No need to mention that in terms of financial products and investments the bar is particularly high.
Therefore, if DFV would sell his account and someone uses it for shenanigans he would still be held liable given his responsibility to avoid anything which could have a misleading or detrimental impact.
When selling your popular X account with a big number of loyal followers who rely on it being genuine you would be still held accountable for any misuse or improper actions caused by Tweets of the new owner as it would be within your responsibility to prevent this. Otherwise someone could simply officially sell his account and still have messages posted through it and when trouble occur he just says “oh it wasn’t me , look I sold the account a week before”. Even for the smoothest ape it should be clear that’s not how it works and that would be too easy for an out of jail card.
Obviously I don’t know anything and everything is possible but beside the arguments laid out in terms of DFVs personality and the lack of motif he has legal advisors and would be way too smart to make a stupid mistake like that.

Sorry if my terminology is incorrect.
I live in a block of flats, and we received the annual building services, and in the price breakdown it has been noted that someone in the building works “backstage” and we have been invoiced monthly for this “concierge” service. Myself and others have asked for a breakdown of the services that we are paying hundreds of pounds for per month, but are not getting responses. We have withheld payment until we receive a breakdown of costs.
On my invoice there was also a £75 fee for an Amazon voucher. When I messaged the building management company querying what this was for, the response was “this gift card was a salary bonus for xyz”.
The management company have not been open with what services have been provided and I am unsure how professional/legal it is for each flat to pay a £75 salary bonus for a service that the management company will not breakdown for us. The only response is that this individual “allows the cleaners in the building when required” and “hands out keys when required”.
I am writing to ask if anyone could help with any knowledge of the legality of the salary bonus and concierge service that no one was aware of until we got the bill and the company are refusing to break down.

I wanted to share my experience with using a local SIM card versus an eSIM during my trips to Bali. Last year, like many others, I picked up a SIM from Telcomsel, thinking it would keep me connected without any hassle. However..
During my 1st stay, I didn’t know that using a tourist SIM card in Bali exposes you to an endless barrage of annoying promotional SMS messages. Seriously, I was getting bombarded with 7 or 8 each day.
This year, I decided go with eSIM. I’ve heard that setting up eSIMs can be a real pain but getting that local SIM once again was not something I was even debating. Rather, I was picking between the best eSIMs for Bali like Airalo, Saily, and Ubigi. I noticed them in this comparison chart on Reddit but in the end, I went with the 20GB Saily package.
Unlike other providers, I liked that Saily only needs to be installed once. There was no messing around with settings, the app was easily understandable, from setup to activation. It gave a 4G network for me, I'd say the connection was sufficient in Ubud. It’s also decently cheap (1GB for 4.79; I paid $21.99 for that 20 GB) if compared to Airalo and Ubigi.
Also a recommendation - I saw some folks suggesting to grab an eSIM upon arrival or at the hotel, but I found it way more convenient to set it up before I even left. Trust me, dealing with setups while in transit is not fun.
But yeah, I think an eSIM is the best thing you can get yourself when going to Bali, especially if you've ever got thrown into the spam messages pool because of the local SIMs...

I'm currently abroad in Egypt and encountered a frustrating situation with an ATM from CIB International Bank. Here's what happened, I attempted to withdraw 4,000 Egyptian pounds (68 British pounds) using my net worth card. The ATM declined the transaction but still deducted the money from my account. I tried again with the same result, resulting in a total loss of nearly 140 pounds.

Hey all! This is a bit weird for me being almost 40 and looking for friends. But here I am anyways lol. Mainly looking for someone to message throughout the day and get to know. Maybe game with if we have that in common. I do work from home so there’s no one to really talk to during the day.
I’m married and have 2 kids, a 6 month old son and a 9 year old daughter. I’m into basic nerdy things. Gaming, star wars, super heroes, DnD, etc. Also trading card games like Disney Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited.

I’m also into movies and tv, some sports, pro wrestling. Collecting action figures and retro games is one of hobbies as well. Anything 80s/90s nostalgia i absolutely love so if you want to talk childhood and growing up back then, i’m down! I miss the good old days where we went to arcades and italian sunday dinners at the grandparents and where the world just wasn’t as nutso as it is today lol.
My kids are everything to me and I do love talking about them. Love being silly with them and spending time with them (when they aren’t driving me crazy 🤪 lol)..I would prefer you be around my age and have kids as well just so we have that stuff in common off the bat! I’m socially awkward most times but very easy to get along with. I’m definitely considered an introvert. But once you get to know me I break out of that awkward shell. I do like to use sarcasm, and mostly like to try and make people laugh because a world without laughter would just be horrible.
