Since Dale Jr. hangs around on this sub I thought we could brainstorm a few small, doable ideas to freshen up the new broadcasts next summer.
More radio / race control audio! Tapping into the scanner increases the immersion of races so much in my opinion, and gives the chance for commentators to rest. I enjoy how Fox does subtitled sections throughout the race, but they rarely tap into the live scanner. I also loved hearing "The race finish Is under review" at Atlanta. More of this!
Small onboards on the pylon graphic that can highlight green flag pit stops or something while the main camera focuses on a battle. Someone very talented made one for the CW network a few weeks ago and it looked killer.
When coming back from commerical, use wide establishing shots before doing the sponsored segments. It always annoyed me to wait 3 minutes to see if the lead had swapped only to be met with an ad segment within the broadcast. I know they have to exist but letting the audience reorient where the field is makes them much more tolerable.
Would love to hear y'all's thoughts!

Yeti (Temple Incense, Nag Champa, Tibetan Tea, Cool Crisp Snow Drifts)
Opens with incense/nag champa and, what must be the cool, crisp scent of snow drifts, which appears to me as a refreshing mint, perhaps peppermint. Lastly the tea note joins. At first I was amping the mint, drowning out the other notes. However, within 5min, the scent was well balanced, resulting in a cool, refreshing and easily wearable incense fragrance.
In total: refreshing, cooling, incense bit above average sillage Rating: 3.75 tendency upwards
Love's Decay (Stargazer Lilies, Forget Me Nots, Bourbon, Saffron, light Amber, Tobacco Leaf)
I initially detected a soft citrus note that smelled like sugar and muted neroli to me. I loved that note! The amber then follows, smoothing out the scent. Overall, this is a slightly sweetened floral fragrance with lilies as the dominant note after five minutes, and overall more muted compared to the opening, which I preferred.
In total: floral, muted, sweetened average sillage Rating: 3.5
Ruby Flame (Red Wine, Pomegranates, Red Roses, Pink Lotus, skin safe Cinnamon, and a touch of old wood and candle flame)
Pomegranate and red wine are the opening notes, followed by the florals, with initially the lotus standing out. The roses then blend seamlessly with the lotus, resulting in a very well balanced scent. The wood plays a subtle background role. This is a comforting scent that's perfect for lounging at home, whether you're reading a book by the fire or simply relaxing in your favourite chair. It's a potentially excellent choice if you're looking for a mellow fragrance to accompany your quiet evening.
In total: comfort, mellow/muted bit below average sillage Rating: 2.75
Fezziwig’s Tea (Dark English Tea, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Peppercorn, Apples, Clove, Orange Peel)
Upon applying this fragrance, I first detect the spice, followed by the tea, and finally the fruit. The pepper joins the blend during the drydown phase. Once dry, the spices emerge slightly above the other notes. I'm amazed at how well the individual notes harmonize with each other. Despite my personal dislike for tea scents, this is a lovely tea fragrance that I would recommend to any tea lover. It is very well blended, offering a calming yet warming and fresh quality. Well rounded, despite the presence of spices.
In total: tea, calming, fresh, well rounded with spice bit above average sillage Rating: 3.75 tendency upwards
Evanelle (Chrysanthemums, Summer Dew, Cherry Blossoms, Vanilla, White Musk and Ozone. This feminine scent is floral fresh, and bright and happy.)
This is a fantastic floral combination. Fresh air with musk, vanilla and florals. Fresh leaning but not a green scent. The scent is gentle, feminine, elegant, and cheerful. While the opening is not my favourite due to the presence of ozone, it fades within 10 minutes, revealing a very smooth and nearly creamy floral blend with vanilla. A sensual skin but better. Overall, the fragrance is well-blended, but on me, the chrysanthemums become more prominent within two hours, slightly overpowering the other notes

I'm sure most of you are familiar with reality checks — the technique to help validate that you're dreaming. You look at your hand, and try and count your fingers. Or just check out your hand in general. It's funny really, that our brains are sort of like AI, they always seem to dud out when it comes to finishing out the fingers properly. I did a reality check and looked at my hand the other night in a dream, and it was a gnarled swollen mess. I instantly knew this was just a dream.
Anyway...I'm also fairly certain that most of you have at least a passing familiarity with NDEs — near death experiences. The person usually narrates some story of light, a tunnel, friends and family, guides, walking through beautiful fields, a life review, ect. Many researchers theorize that none of this is real, but is instead a sort of dream state, created by the dying brain. For what reason, I'm not sure, maybe just as a calming, last, self-care mechanism?
So here's my question. What if the person experiencing the NDE was familiar with reality checks. Say they were a regular lucid dreamer. If they looked at their hand and it had 3 fingers, or 6, or some other brain-created boo-boo, wouldn't that lend credence to the theory that the whole experience is brain-created? Now, if they tried to look at their hand, and realized they had no body at all, that might meant something else entirely. It could still just be a dream, but maybe not. However, if they looked at their hand and it was perfect, just like it usually looked, that would probably be a very interesting result, and pretty much outside the experience of regular lucid dreamers.

"Having fun isn’t hard if you’ve got a library card on the latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery, which sees Captain Michael Burnham and company visit the Eternal Gallery and Archive, a mobile knowledge bank that is, hands down, the absolute coolest of the five locations we’ve visited on this season-long clue hunt. To be fair, “Labyrinths” isn’t an episode where all that much happens, but its premise still makes for a surprisingly satisfying hour, and the slow-moving approach of the Breen adds some nice tension to Michael’s vision quest into her own psyche.
Full of one-of-a-kind manuscripts, rare artifacts, and other priceless items from cultures both present and lost, the Archive is exactly the kind of location that fits the adventure-themed feel of the season. It also looks cool as hell, packed to the gills with books and viewing rooms holding various priceless items from long-dead cultures. Arriving within it basically feels like the sci-fi version of that bit from Beauty and the Beast where Belle discovers all the books she now has access to, and if someone wanted to make an entire spin-off focused on the mysteries of this place and the people who came to visit it I would be glued to the screen every week.

The idea that Michael finds the answer only when she admits and confronts her deepest fears—of failure, both professionally and personally, in terms of letting down those she cares about—is peak Discovery, the sort of endless navel-gazing these characters are constantly asked to engage in. On some level, this particular test might have been more interesting if someone other than Michael had been forced to take it. We’re all well acquainted with her failings and flaws at this point, and I don’t know that anyone is going to be shocked to learn that she’s got a perfectionism complex a mile wide, no matter how strong a performance Sonequa Martin-Green gives in this moment (which, by the way, is very good).
The only interesting part of this is that it finally gives us a little clarity about her feelings for Book, and how much she regrets pulling away from him. It’s a nice bit of emotional work for the romantic reunion that the show is so clearly telegraphing. Bonus points to David Ajala for pulling double duty this week as both Book and the AI administering Michael’s test, which she sees in his form. The uber-dramatic outfit and quiet sarcasm are quite fun and make for a very different vibe between the actors.

Unsurprisingly, Primark Ruhn is less enthused about restoring the life of a dead scion of the Breen Imperium than he is about finding a weapon powerful enough to allow him to claim the throne for himself, so it’s not all that much of a shock that he spends the bulk of this hour betraying and threatening people.
That he blackmails Michael into handing over the completed map is probably the least surprising thing to happen this entire season, though the idea that the hour ends with Moll killing the Primark and taking charge of his faction thanks to her role as L’ak’s wife is almost hilariously ridiculous. Thanks for making sure he didn’t destroy the Archive first though, I guess? We know so little about Moll outside of her relationship with L’ak that it’s easy for Discovery to make her character be whatever it needs to be at any particular moment, but she certainly never seemed like someone who would care all that much about the destruction of valuable cultural artifacts. (Or even innocent lives, come to that.) Oh, well, at least Hy’rell is safe!! [...]"

A while ago I had created a post about martial arts where I classified Aikido as an awful martial art due to it's very lackluster damage. Many in the community corrected my misconception. So I did another run as a bionic monster start (you get bionic claws at the getgo) and got aikido as a martial art (luckily) on day 3. It's now the beginning of autumn. I have survived long enough to install a bunch of cbms, mutate, and wear (what i think) is late game gear: faraday chainmail with tempered steel brigandine / splint on top. Here's my thoughts on Aikido after using it exclusively to kill a couple thousand monsters.
If you're talking about sheer power, I'd probably classify it as S tier with the addition of bionic claws. With my late game gear, i ran face first into a zombie master, 2 necromancers, a handful of shockers, zombie brutes, shocker brutes, grabbers, pupating, smokers, and everything you can imagine. It was at night so i didn't aggro everything. after a desperate fight i came out on top (adrenal cbm is way too overpowered). As long as i wasn't completely surrounded, taking on 3-4 guys at the same time wasn't an issue. Nothing ever landed, mostly because of my great armor. I kept on throwing dangerous enemies away and breaking out of their grabs. My claws did piercing damage and bleed so in a prolonged fight, everything dies.
There are still a few problems with this build, mainly its still the low consistent damage. Compared with my default longsword build, it takes much longer to kill critical / heavily armored targets like bestial stalkers and hulks. While they can't hit you with normal attacks, their smashes send you flying, causing crazy amounts of pain. I struggled with these without pain management mutations / drugs. It's also hard to kill regenerators because of your low consistent damage. For example - i can't kill unseen hunters whereas with a longsword it's not an issue. Pupating zombies was another one i struggled with. takes forever to whittle them down, especially because i keep throwing them a tile away, giving them a chance to heal.
The other problem is electricity. unless you get an activity suit / faraday suit / dielectric cbm, all your melee attacks will shock you. i carried a hatchet until my faraday suit to take on electric zombies. you have the same issue as longsword, but i usually play early game with a fire axe, which does not conduct
The final problem actually is boredom. Aikido is honestly too amazing at defense. late game, you walk into a town, aggro everything and hold down tab (watch out for acid zombies because tabbing in a puddle of acid will kill you). 0 interaction required, 0 position needed. just hold down tab until nothing is moving and move to the next block. with my ninjutsu longsword build, even late game i still had to keep up the hit, move, move, move rhythm so fights felt interactive.
Ok a bit more about armor pen. How good is the armor pen with claws? Bionic claws do piercing damage, which while low damage, is decent vs armor. that said, armored targets like soldiers still take a long time to kill, but fortunately, you can just hold tab and snooze. the most armored monster i fought were bilious soldier zombies and kevlar brutes (no kevlar hulks for me at 1st day of autumn). the fight was unpleasant, especially the bilious soldier because every time aikido throws him out of melee range, he'd shoot me full of acid darts, which my faraday suit didn't do amazing against. his 25 cut / 20 pierce armor was a pain to deal with and i probably did as much damage with my claws as with bleeding. fighting one would shave off 1/3 of my leg / torso health due to acid and i had to activate adrenaline pump to have a chance. kevlar brutes were also a pain. at 30 cut armor, 25 pierce, i had a hard time landing meaningful chunks on him. every time he threw me, it was a boatload of pain. again - had to activate adrenaline pump to beat him, but fortunately his throws did much less damage than acid / acid bullets.
The verdict? i think i still enjoy playing with ninjutsu / fire axe / longsword more, but aikido claws is definitely a strong contender if you want to do a martial artist that can still carry its weight into late game. you'll definitely want to start bionic monster or get the adrenaline pump cbm to survive some of the hard encounters. i don't think it was as essential with my longsword build, but then again, i didn't take on as many crazy risks nor had as much issue with bilious / kevlar hulks

Bionic claws do piercing damage, which while low damage, is decent vs armor. that said, armored targets like soldiers still take a long time to kill, but fortunately, you can just hold tab and snooze. the most armored monster i fought were bilious soldier zombies and kevlar brutes (no kevlar hulks for me at 1st day of autumn). the fight was unpleasant, especially the bilious soldier because every time aikido throws him out of melee range, he'd shoot me full of acid darts, which my faraday suit didn't do amazing against. his 25 cut / 20 pierce armor was a pain to deal with and i probably did as much damage with my claws as with bleeding. fighting one would shave off 1/3 of my leg / torso health due to acid and i had to activate adrenaline pump to have a chance. kevlar brutes were also a pain. at 30 cut armor, 25 pierce, i had a hard time landing meaningful chunks on him. every time he threw me, it was a boatload of pain. again - had to activate adrenaline pump to beat him, but fortunately his throws did much less damage than acid / acid bullets.
The verdict? i think i still enjoy playing with ninjutsu / fire axe / longsword more, but aikido claws is definitely a strong contender if you want to do a martial artist that can still carry its weight into late game. you'll definitely want to start bionic monster or get the adrenaline pump cbm to survive some of the hard encounters. i don't think it was as essential with my longsword build, but then again, i didn't take on as many crazy risks nor had as much issue with bilious / kevlar hulks

As the title states, I am struggling to generate new business. I am a mobile detailer as well as providing service at my or the customer's choice of location. I'm located in the South East in a pretty metropolitan area. I do exterior hand washes with foamer, shampoo, quick wax but my bread and butter is interior cleaning. I currently have about 8 paid jobs completed, and prior to that did about 10-15 family and friends cars, just to tweak my process and cleaning options.
My current advertising strategy includes: an extremely fresh instagram/Facebook profile with very little content and following thus far, a google business profile (with no reviews), a next-door account, and a craigslist ad that I have to pay $5 for and is good for I think up to 45 days. Surprisingly this has brought me the most new business. I have put about $25 into Facebook advertising with little to no yield.
I recently received some yard signs just with my business name/service offered + a phone number to call or text. I am hoping this may improve exposure. Thinking about putting them up near the mouths of nice suburbs neighborhoods/heavily trafficked intersections for max exposure + drawing a client base that may require car cleanings w/ kids and have the disposable income for the services provided

We, as the Community, surely have a lot of Players who are somehow involved in Gamedevelopment or 3d-Modelling. We could Just start making 3d-Modells of Things we want in the Game and send them the Files for reviewing and using in the Game in Case they like them. Everybody could do as much as they like, No overworking or loosing too much Lifetime. And Arrowhead would have a Library of cool Models and Props to Modify and use as they like. - Was blocking and ignoring customers who purchased her Glamlite Paht 2 collection, never received their order, and asked about it. All of this while Glamlite was siphoning stock to CVS and also ignored customer inquiries about their overdue orders.
- Along with CVS, broke their "Beauty Unaltered" pledge by creating a display unit that is obviously filtered of the Trash Goblin’s face.
- Committed fraud by pledging that 50% of the proceeds from the Paht 2 collection would be donated to women's healthcare after the Dobbs decision. When anyone commented to ask about it, they were banned from her socials. This one is the most egregious, as there are people who might have purchased solely based on her pledge. She lied about not getting paid yet to make the donation just as the CVS distribution happened.
- She's myopic and doesn't care about her supporters, as she continually discusses her ED without the common courtesy of a trigger warning like most creators do for subjects like this. Her explanation for why she doesn't give a TW? "It doesn't trigger me, so fuck all of you." She's so disrespectful of Cody's sobriety.
- Does giveaways by making followers jump through engagement hoops to boost her profile but then didn't deliver on the giveaways.
- Begging... BEGGING.. followers on her broadcast channel to drop an emoji as a comment to inflate her engagement rate, as comments are engagement rate gold for getting paid.
- Claims she donates extra product to women's shelters, and then went on Instagram asking for suggestions on where in her area she can donate women's clothes. She's so fucking dense that she either doesn't realize the same places she supposedly donates product to is a good first start, or she outed herself as never donating before like she said she did if she doesn't know where to donate clothes locally.
- She's a terrible brand ambassador, which is on her and DBA. She went on a free Paris trip sponsored by Caudalie, and she shit talked how broken out her skin got on the trip (with the assumption she was using their products and services) and never once really hyped the brand that was paying for her to be there.
- Took money from Briogio for a campaign and at the same time posted videos about her hair falling out. She's so dumb she doesn't realize that she caused a causation comparison.
- She's lying about having clients, paying clients that aren't her friends and family. She is not a MUA or a certified in MA to do makeup.
- She brigades brands who don't do her bidding like a brat. Pottery Barn in the middle of the pandemic had shipping and quality issues. She sent her followers after them and then begged PB for more free stuff.
- She has her friends like HeartofGreg comment on her videos, which she then stiches the comment to review a product. She then takes that video and shops it to the brand to get them to sponsor the video.. and a few weeks later the video resurfaces as partner, paid partnerships, sponsorship.

- Did a giveaway for Chanel bags with Chris Appleton (Color Wow) and the Boston's Children's Hospital, which was against GoFundMe's Terms of Service. She never gave the winners their prize.
- Dogs a brand who sent her free items but then turns around and praises the brand when they pay her (She did it with Essence and KVD).
- Did a bunch of fake "pick out my wedding makeup" when she 100% knew what she was using including the fact that e.l.f. sponsored her wedding as a brand event. She says that's not true, but I can guarantee e.l.f. writes off the expenses they incurred for her wedding as a business expense.
- Lied about her YouTube page being her page. She feverously uploaded videos when she took her 5:19, baby tantrum, pity party break from TikTok but still needed to earn money. She uploaded her TikTok videos to YouTube, lied that it was her channel, and made money. If it wasn't her channel, you know she and DBA would file a cease and desist .. and win it.. to get the channel removed. It's her channel.
- Her filter usage is fraud. Period. There is no debating it. When you are getting paid to review products and apply a filter on your face and body, you are committing fraud. The viewer thinks it's the product making that effect and not really the software engineering team that created the editing app.
- With the PeeeLouish collab, they were caught pre-applying swatches from the P.Louise palette. She's also not really applying makeup in her videos. Cheeks, bronzer, and eyes are being applied off screen and she's swiping a brush making it look like she's applying it. Another sign she can't do professional makeup at all. It's all fake.
- Every ”in the wild” picture that’s not filtered shows the truth.
- She constantly lurks on other creators pages to find commenters to block when they shit talk her. Insecure much? She’ll unblock people to snark them and lurk, then block them again. We know she does this with Rich Lux.
- She supports James Charles. The grifting carnival barker loves the groomer trash.
- Community Contribution: She shits on her estranged half sister to her millions of followers, when all the evidence points to her sister being frozen out of their family at the age of 14. She claims her sister walked out of their lives because she “wasn’t the precious daughter of the family anymore” after Mikayla was born, and also talks badly about her sister for being on disability. Mikayla is an aunt to two girls, but I doubt she’s ever cared nor met them. Her sister also lived and lives right down the road from Mikayla’s parents home.
- She’s a known bully and coming from someone who’s now being regarded as an ED spokesperson. She told her friend that drinking hot chocolate would be “200 very unnecessary calories”, and that she was “just trying to help since you’re trying to lose weight” with that comment. She’s a mean girl, and she always has been.
- She cries about shade range while she brags about being soooo pale (um, really?). She releases collabs that are not inclusive for POC. She then brags about buying out and hoarding darker foundations and concealers to use as bronzers meaning the very little stock available for darker skin tones becomes even more scarce when her idiot stans buy up the product. She also blackfishes.
- She can't admit when she's wrong and aggressively lashes out to those trying to point it out. She called a comb and brush, and when corrected in her comments, she was incredibly rude to her own followers. You know, the people engaging with her content that's paying her mortgage. She is incapable of saying, "oops, my bad." Her integrity is crap for this behavior.
- Just like the above, the unwillingness to admit a simple mistake turned her into an ableist POS. There are those with low vision or no vision who listen to TikToks and rely on accuracy in speech and closed captions. Her "go fuck yourself, bro" attitude when called out about the comb incident made her incredibly ableist.
- She creates rage bait content to generate engagement gold via angry comments. This makes her a carnival barking grifter.
- She begs for engagement on her broadcast channel trying to force things to go viral like "nice and shaaaahhp." It's actually pathetic watching her do this.
- Used a derogatory term used to reference Travelers/Romani people and doubled down on it when people called her out and educated her on the use of the word.
- Lied about creating some Mother's Day shopping spree for a "family in need" saying that when she heard their story, she knew she just had to help. When asked in the comments about the story, she played the, "It's not my story the tell." Come to find out, the story is that the child goes to the school that Mikayla's mom works at. There was a raffle at the school, and one of the prizes was a $500 shopping trip with MikPickMe. The girl's mom paid for 40 entries to win the raffle, and she did. The only reason the shopping was done on Mother's Day was due to conflicting schedules. This was not a shopping spree for a family in need. It was a prize from a raffle that Mikayla's mommy had a hand in.
- MikLieHole took Rael's money and trip and went in days earlier with her emotional support animal, Codypendency, and did meetings with a competitor, Tirtir. Tirtir gifted her a Birkin while in South Korea, too.

Hi Everyone! I posted this on Colognes but figured I’d share here, too.
I’ve always loved good smelling stuff and for the last 15 years I’ve usually had one bottle of cologne, and would replace once it’s out. Only in the last few months have I really delved into this world and began filling out a modest collection. I’m definitely not an expert (so take my reviews with a big grain of salt) but I love smelling and writing so here ya go. (Fucking wall of text incoming lmao, I didn’t realize how lengthy this got)
I just got back from a three-hour mall trip to try and get my nose on as many niche fragrances as my senses would tolerate. I had already done a good bit of research so I had some picked out to try and others already crossed-off. Im a 30M for reference.
I also had the goal in mind to find a contender for a fall/winter scent that exudes class, sophistication and decadence. For that, I’ve already tried a few that I really enjoy, and kind of used these as a springboard to continue exploring:
Xerjoff Alexandria II- This is what I envision royalty wearing. Lavender and rosewood mix soooo nice in the open, and dries into a lovey rose/vanilla/essence of oud. The oud is really toned down here for those that dislike it. It’s kind of hard to pick out. Nuclear performance.
Initio Oud for Greatness- Another good starter oud, you could say (this was my introduction to oud). It lasts forever and the dry down is seriously heavenly. The wet, soily oud is at the forefront for 2-4 hours, but I’m absolutely in love with what’s left when it disappears. Lavender, saffron, nutmeg and musk mixes into the best dryer-sheet-like scent I’ve come across (what it reminds ME of at least).
Perfums de Marly Haltane- Quite similar in the opening to Oud for Greatness. Haltane is darker, though, where I get more leathesmoke. I think the oud in this is more subdued, or at least less moist smelling. It blends well and lasts a good while.
Initio Atomic Rose- Holy shit. Apparently rose gets my motor GOING. I tried a lot of rose-centric fragrances today, but this probably still takes the cake for its balance and strength, in addition to the scent itself being just gorgeous.
So with those in mind I was off to Neiman Marcus. I sampled a large amount more than what I’ve written, but stuck to the ones that were memorable; good or bad.
Frederic Malle - Portrait of a Lady- My favorite of the Frederic Malle. Sensual rose/clove/currant at the front, but it is kind of hard to pick out specific notes on this one. After looking, I can get the cinnamon in the background of the dry down, it blends perfectly with the sandalwood, rose and benzoin after drying down. - Carnal Flower- Some similarity to POAL, lots of tuberose and jasmine, which I personally like. A bright yet sensual floral, and you get some coconut and melon there, too. I typically dislike coconut but this is blended masterfully. - Lipstick Rose- Yeah, that’s what it smells like. Try this if you’ve seen people describe scents as lipstick-y or violet taking on that accord. Not my cup of tea, also leans more feminine to my nose than the other two. - Musc Ravageur- I really wanted to like this one. And for a split second I did! A clove-y vanilla sasparilla is what I first got, and it unfortunately turned into barnyard urine. I immediately remembered seeing some reviews stating this, and I couldn’t get my nose to move past it. I can tell there’s good stuff there, but not for me.
Amouage - Reflection- The only one I’d tried before, and remains one of my favs. Rosemary and pink pepper greet you with a deep, fresh spice. The vetiver and patchouli sit nicely at the bottom, and the combination of white florals mixes wonderfully. Another scent I could imagine on royalty, and seems pretty versatile, too. You could wear this year-round without feeling out of place. Insane staying power. - Lyric- Probably my favorite, but I need to smell again on another day. Compared to the other Amouage, I had to continually stick my nose in the coffe beans to pick up the scent from the test strip. When I did get it, it was a lovely light, fresh scent. Quite a departure from the other Amouage I’ve tried, but great. No surprise, the list of notes are some of my favorites: lime, bergamot, rose, orange blossom, saffron, nutmeg, musk, pine, vanilla, incense, sandalwood. Seriously, love each and all those individually and they come together beautifully. - Interlude- Another good one. Dark, mysterious. Definitely get the oregano/peppepatchouli/incense bomb off the top. Leather lurking behind. I typically don’t gravitate toward the leathery scents but this one’s good. - Enclave- This pretty much seals the deal for me that on me, mint just ain’t it. I liked Sedley at first, but the mint somehow gets too cloying to my nose after too long. I can tell I would get the same from the peppermint in the opening of Enclave. I almost liked this one, too. If you can even tolerate peppermint, you’ll enjoy this one.
Mind Games - Blockade- Wowww. First sniff love, here. Explosion of citrus, juicy fruit-y sex. I usually find myself staying away from citrus-forward scents but this shit is next level. This will be a contender for my next upscale summer buy. - Double Attack- Another love at first sniff. It’s familiar, though. Chocolate/orange/cinnamon/vanilla. You’ll want to eat it right up. I already have this box checked in my collection, but may come back to it in the future. - Checkmate- Another lovely scent. Champagne, red currant, rose, magnolia, little patchouli. It all comes together really nicely, and it was difficult for me to pick out specific notes before looking. Not a love, but I was really impressed with the quality and scent profile of the Mind Games I tried.
Clive Christian - Town & Country- Wow. No seriously, like fucking wow. Smells like an Italian fruit cart strolling through an English manor’s sprawling garden road. I look at the notes and I don’t understand how you get this smell supposedly out of Clary Sage, Ambergris, and Sandalwood. Like, what? This is high quality shit. I get some pear or grapes there, too. Try this. - Crab Apple Blossom- Yum yum yum this is goooood. Smells like it sounds. Bergamot, apple blossom and rhubarb dance around playfully together. Can’t help but have a big stupid smile on your face when you smell this. The more it dried down, the more it might be my favorite over Town & Country. - Matsukita- Another great scent. In the same vein as the other two since they are part of the same “Crown Collection.” You get some smokiness, here. Bergamot with nutmeg and mate give depth and a little mystery. White florals, woody ambers and musk at the base. Just quality stuff here. All three of these in the Crown Collection were available in 10ml travel size gift pack for $300. Good idea to put on my wish list. That shit is kiiiinda expensive.
Xerjoff - Erba Pura- I did not expect to like this as much as I did! Favorite that I sampled. Perfect combination of citrus and fruitiness off the top, layered over a bed of sweet musk. Something here is very familiar to my nose but I couldn’t place it. This will be another top contender for a future upscale summer purchase. - Accento- Soothing scent. Fruity white floral (usually dumb reach for me), and the iris gives it some powder but not overpowering. Not as feminine-leaning as I would have expected. - Iommi- Delicious! Sweet smoky rum off the top, and it’s a little surprising how forward the patchouli and leather is in this. It’s bordering on being a little overpowering, but it tames a bit on the dry down. I’d need to see how this goes on my skin, for sure. - Torino 21- Another one that I liked way more than expected. I’m going back and seeing mint listed as a top note here…I didn’t get that! And thank God since mint usually is a non-starter. Kind of an aquatic green to my nose. Again, just a lovely scent. - Naxos- Yeah ok this is good shit. I was expecting a sweet bomb, but this is definitely more restrained than what a lot of reviewers will have you believe. I’m a sucker for lavender and bergamot. Throw in honey and jasmine atop a bed of tobacco, vanilla and tonka bean? Yes please. - Erba Gold- Pretty good. To my nose more feminine than Erba Pura, likely due to the extra fruits in the middle. That combination of citruses, pear and melon is reminiscent of particular ladies’ scents.
Louis Vuitton - L’Immensité- Ohhhh yeahh. Relaxation in a bottle. My favorite besides maybe Fleur du Desert. This, Imagination and Météore all kind of dance to the same song, so to speak. More than one of these would be redundant, in my opinion. The quality speaks through each of these fragrances, though- really nice stuff. - Imagination- The name fits, as a lot of the notes here are almost fleeting like a word on the tip of your tongue. It’s a great, calming scent but it didn’t blow me away. Like I said, L’Immensité was the best of these and I don’t see the need to diversify within this collection. - Météore- Compared to L’Immensité, there’s a little more sweetness here. This leans closer to a shower gel-like scent in my opinion. Still great. - Fleur du Désert- This one started out reallly good. Honey and cinnamon into rose and orange blossom is an intriguing, sensual combination. Unfortunately, smelling it on my arm after a couple hours, the jasmine and honey turn into something my mind recognizes as an old lady scent. The POAL on my hand, by comparison, keeps mixing with my skin in a great pheromonic way. - Ombre Nomad- Disappointed with this one. I’m realizing I don’t gravitate toward darker scents like heavy oud, leather, incense. I can tell it’s put together really well and uses quality materials, but this isn’t one that was made for me.
All in all, my main take-aways include: Xerjoff scents living up to the name. I was definitely impressed with their offerings, and would have expected it to lean closer to overrated. Same with Mind Games. Really enjoyed everything I sampled from them, even if it wasn’t my cup of tea, I was impressed with the quality. Also, I need to get back and sample the rest of the Clive Christian house. I was absolutely blown away with what I tried.
A little bonus: I tried TF Noir de Noir, Extreme Noir, and Cafe Rose. Extreme Noir is excellent. A regal mix of saffron, nutmeg and cardamom on top of rose and white florals. Ahhhh, again, similar to what I imagine a king or king to smell like.
Cafe Rose is probably the second best rose-centric scent to my nose besides Atomic Rose. I’ll need to put those side by side.

I typically don’t gravitate toward the leathery scents but this one’s good. - Enclave- This pretty much seals the deal for me that on me, mint just ain’t it. I liked Sedley at first, but the mint somehow gets too cloying to my nose after too long. I can tell I would get the same from the peppermint in the opening of Enclave. I almost liked this one, too. If you can even tolerate peppermint, you’ll enjoy this one.
Mind Games - Blockade- Wowww. First sniff love, here. Explosion of citrus, juicy fruit-y sex. I usually find myself staying away from citrus-forward scents but this shit is next level. This will be a contender for my next upscale summer buy. - Double Attack- Another love at first sniff. It’s familiar, though. Chocolate/orange/cinnamon/vanilla. You’ll want to eat it right up. I already have this box checked in my collection, but may come back to it in the future. - Checkmate- Another lovely scent. Champagne, red currant, rose, magnolia, little patchouli. It all comes together really nicely, and it was difficult for me to pick out specific notes before looking. Not a love, but I was really impressed with the quality and scent profile of the Mind Games I tried.
Clive Christian - Town & Country- Wow. No seriously, like fucking wow. Smells like an Italian fruit cart strolling through an English manor’s sprawling garden road. I look at the notes and I don’t understand how you get this smell supposedly out of Clary Sage, Ambergris, and Sandalwood. Like, what? This is high quality shit. I get some pear or grapes there, too. Try this. - Crab Apple Blossom- Yum yum yum this is goooood. Smells like it sounds. Bergamot, apple blossom and rhubarb dance around playfully together. Can’t help but have a big stupid smile on your face when you smell this. The more it dried down, the more it might be my favorite over Town & Country. - Matsukita- Another great scent. In the same vein as the other two since they are part of the same “Crown Collection.” You get some smokiness, here. Bergamot with nutmeg and mate give depth and a little mystery. White florals, woody ambers and musk at the base. Just quality stuff here. All three of these in the Crown Collection were available in 10ml travel size gift pack for $300. Good idea to put on my wish list. That shit is kiiiinda expensive.
Xerjoff - Erba Pura- I did not expect to like this as much as I did! Favorite that I sampled. Perfect combination of citrus and fruitiness off the top, layered over a bed of sweet musk. Something here is very familiar to my nose but I couldn’t place it. This will be another top contender for a future upscale summer purchase. - Accento- Soothing scent. Fruity white floral (usually dumb reach for me), and the iris gives it some powder but not overpowering. Not as feminine-leaning as I would have expected. - Iommi- Delicious! Sweet smoky rum off the top, and it’s a little surprising how forward the patchouli and leather is in this. It’s bordering on being a little overpowering, but it tames a bit on the dry down. I’d need to see how this goes on my skin, for sure. - Torino 21- Another one that I liked way more than expected. I’m going back and seeing mint listed as a top note here…I didn’t get that! And thank God since mint usually is a non-starter. Kind of an aquatic green to my nose. Again, just a lovely scent. - Naxos- Yeah ok this is good shit. I was expecting a sweet bomb, but this is definitely more restrained than what a lot of reviewers will have you believe. I’m a sucker for lavender and bergamot. Throw in honey and jasmine atop a bed of tobacco, vanilla and tonka bean? Yes please. - Erba Gold- Pretty good. To my nose more feminine than Erba Pura, likely due to the extra fruits in the middle. That combination of citruses, pear and melon is reminiscent of particular ladies’ scents.
Louis Vuitton - L’Immensité- Ohhhh yeahh. Relaxation in a bottle. My favorite besides maybe Fleur du Desert. This, Imagination and Météore all kind of dance to the same song, so to speak. More than one of these would be redundant, in my opinion. The quality speaks through each of these fragrances, though- really nice stuff. - Imagination- The name fits, as a lot of the notes here are almost fleeting like a word on the tip of your tongue. It’s a great, calming scent but it didn’t blow me away. Like I said, L’Immensité was the best of these and I don’t see the need to diversify within this collection. - Météore- Compared to L’Immensité, there’s a little more sweetness here. This leans closer to a shower gel-like scent in my opinion. Still great. - Fleur du Désert- This one started out reallly good. Honey and cinnamon into rose and orange blossom is an intriguing, sensual combination. Unfortunately, smelling it on my arm after a couple hours, the jasmine and honey turn into something my mind recognizes as an old lady scent. The POAL on my hand, by comparison, keeps mixing with my skin in a great pheromonic way. - Ombre Nomad- Disappointed with this one. I’m realizing I don’t gravitate toward darker scents like heavy oud, leather, incense. I can tell it’s put together really well and uses quality materials, but this isn’t one that was made for me.
All in all, my main take-aways include: Xerjoff scents living up to the name. I was definitely impressed with their offerings, and would have expected it to lean closer to overrated. Same with Mind Games. Really enjoyed everything I sampled from them, even if it wasn’t my cup of tea, I was impressed with the quality. Also, I need to get back and sample the rest of the Clive Christian house. I was absolutely blown away with what I tried.
A little bonus: I tried TF Noir de Noir, Extreme Noir, and Cafe Rose. Extreme Noir is excellent. A regal mix of saffron, nutmeg and cardamom on top of rose and white florals. Ahhhh, again, similar to what I imagine a king or king to smell like.
Cafe Rose is probably the second best rose-centric scent to my nose besides Atomic Rose. I’ll need to put those side by side.

He looks like maybe he lost his home in the hurricane, and exploring his options. I’m curious, bold, and try to be helpful/informative. So I say to him while looking at his $1.2 million dollar brokerage account, “You should use Robinhood you’d save on commissions/fees.” He looked at me and said,” You mean like steal from the rich, and give to the poor? I had practiced with the tent at my home before hand and am glad I did. below is a review of my experience. submitted by stratospaly to TeslaModelY [link] [comments] The good: Tent was quick to go up and come down, less than 10 minutes total setup and tare down time. It is dark, keeps the daylight out very well. It kept us dry though the wind or rain was not strong. There are only 2 tent poles, in the top of the tent holding the roof up. The holder for the tent poles is well thought out with Velcro. It folds up into an extremely small footprint bag. The fixable: By tucking the tent into the back door and running 2 of the straps through the hinge of that door I was able to make a much better connection to the car, though that may cause excessive wear and tear on the tent. The T holders for the poles are brittle and one has already broken. The Bad: There are already small worn holes in the tent after only opening it up 3 times. It is one thin layer so I fear it will wear out quickly and for a $500 tent that is not optimal. The bottom of the outer doors do not zip all the way, all 3 doors do not seal at the bottom, due to this wind opens them up, this tent is NOT good under 40*, even with the heat on in the car. My final bad thing is the connection to the car is poor. There are LARGE gaps that bugs fly straight into and into the tent\car. This can be mitigated somewhat with the above door thing and some strip magnets, but by the design of the tent there will never be a solid seal to the car. This and the open bottom of the doors has lead me to purchasing an MKCamp tent and keeping this one as a backup tent. Overall car camping with the Y was fun, we learned quite a few things on the first trip, mostly that the 10-30 plug does NOT work at campsites, its for a dryer plug, campsites use TT30 which we need a dongle for. We also learned 30 amp 125v is not much faster than the 110 plug, always book a 50 amp campsite if possible. Also we learned to ALWAYS CHECK the campsite rules to ensure EV's can charge at the campsite. Apparently KOA have a blanket policy disallowing this, and one National park has done the same. Like many, I love my P5 and am still rocking it to this day. Pixel Folds were too expensive to ever tempt me, but now the used market has them for $700-800, and suddenly they're a lot more feasible.
With them being even shorter than the P5 (albeit heavier), a physical fingerprint scanner, and many reviews of people loving the outer screen and size, it's the only phone right now that could convince me to switch.
Has anyone made the jump from P5 to Fold? Or have had both and have compared? I understand they're entirely different products, but from a size perspective, it's the closest thing Google currently has to a "small" phone.

Bethesda turned on play options that include what are presumably de-nerfed environmental effects. The system is, at best, opaque. Here is what I've determined so far...
The algorithm doesn't seem like it would make sense when applied to suit environmental protections.
2) Speaking of numbers -- the vast majority of spacesuits have a total of 60 resistance spread across the four threats. Packs and helmets each have 30, for a total of 120 for a full suit of the same type. A few, like the Mark I and Gran-Gran's, are slightly better. Individual values for each type tend to max at 30/20/20, for a total of 70 protection from a baseline set optimized for one element. A full set of deep mining gear will provide 70 airborne resistance, for examples.
NOTE: Starborn suits have higher values than this, giving 50 resistance to everything.
Legendary effects can boost a single resistance by 25. Three legendary pieces for a set optimum for a threat could theoretically provide a resistance of 145 versus a single threat.
You can modify your pack but not your helmet or suit to enhance resistances -- the Hazard Protection enhances all of the resistances, but I'm not sure if it is fixed for all packs or varies based on type or quality of the armor. Testing would need to be done for that.
3) Anecdotally speaking based on play, environmental protection appears to be ablative. In other words, your level of protection erodes over time. Your equipment will beep repeatedly at a faster rate of speed until your protection goes away. At that point, you start taking environmental damage and run the risk of afflictions.
The afflictions you suffer depend upon the type of threat, e.g., radiation can result in radiation poisoning or burns. It seems mostly rational in that respect.
The magnitude of the threat can vary. Protection might slowly degrade, but exposure to a potent source can immediately wipe out your protection.
Protection regenerates when you are in a "safe" location. This appears to be inside any building with an airlock or your ship (or when you move out of the environment entirely, e.g., fast travelling to Jemison). The game is NOT sophisticated enough to take things like overhead cover into account. Some POIs don't have airlocks and don't provide cover from things like solar radiation even if you have a roof over your head. (Side note: equipment in Starfield MUST have self-repair functions; you would suffocate the first time you got shot in vacuum if this wasn't the case; I'm going to assume this is a standard feature for making space travel reasonably safe for the average person.)
Weather events can change the threat level. Sandstorms and precipitation can definitely increase the threat.
The actual temperature that appears on your watch doesn't seem to directly correlate to things like extreme cold warnings. The characteristics of the planet, including the need for levels in planetary habitation to settle it, does not seem to directly correlate, either. It is possible that these factors are part of it, but you won't necessarily get the same level of thermal threat on two different Deep Freeze worlds.
4) Again anecdotally, it seems that further exposure can worsen the prognosis of existing afflictions. It also seems like having an affliction can make you more vulnerable to obtaining new ones. Using medicine to improve your prognosis is wasteful if you aren't regenerating your protection, as the prognosis will quickly degrade again.
There appear to be multiple severity levels that apply stronger debuffs as well. The "severe" levels of an affliction seem to replace the lower level. Healing does not change the severity back to a lighter level -- it solely improves the prognosis. You can progress from frostbite to severe frostbite, but healing can't reverse that progression.
5) You absolutely can die from environmental damage. It is not like O2/CO2 damage that stops at 10% health. You can also get persistent damage over time effects that will prevent you from resting or fast travelling.

CONCLUSIONS AND FURTHER RESEARCH
- The environmental protection is not just a damage reduction. You clearly have immunity that is wearing down over time.
- Threats vary in strength, so I think it likely that specific threats have a numeric strength that is in some way compared to your protection. That ratio likely directly impacts the time before you start taking damage.
- Threats can be either ambient, i.e., you're "outside" on a world map, or based on proximity, i.e., you submerge part of your body in water, stand over a vent, etc.
- Ambient effects can change in strength. Weather events are obvious sources. It's possible that other factors may play a role, e.g., solar flares, day vs. night, etc. Additional testing would need to be done (or we get a straight answer from Bethesda).
- It is unclear if there is a threshold of resistance that negates an environmental threat. This is definitely an area worth testing. For example, if my thermal protection is wearing down at 30, would it still wear down at 70 but more slowly? Is there a protection number that is just considered "fully protected?"
- While we don't need actual numbers, it would be nice if the game would alert you to a weak, strong, or moderate ambient threat before you leave the airlock so you can prepare accordingly.
- Planetary scan data should have some indication of potential threats from the environment. EDIT: Before people chime in with, "it tells you about dangerous water, temperature, and atmospheric toxins," let me clarify that I want something MORE explicit, like "moderate radiation threats common." In a setting with casual planetary travel, it would absolutely be more idiot proof.
- A change in ambient threat level should be forecast with something like, "Warning: Incoming Sandstorm."
- Your scanner should absolutely be capable of highlighting proximity threats. If I'm pointing at a highly irradiated body of water, the scanner should be like, "Dude, don't go in there."
- POIs should have some kind of icon indicating they provide protection from ambient effects. Sarah had dialogue that seeking shelter in a cave can be useful, but entering one didn't allow my suit protection to regenerate.
- Revise the resistances on clothing and armor items to be more sensible. A hazmat suit shouldn't have less radiation protection than an engineering outfit. It's clear a lot of this was hand-waved as not important when they decided to nerf the environmental effects.
