Roluno, Captain of The Leshana
I waited on the dock, under Leshana’s watchful gaze, as the Federation crew prowled about within. I could hear the thump of their paws, and the strange whines, clicks, and whistles of their chatter within, though the device on my ear only translated a stray shout here and there. The now familiar whine of a flying machine interrupted the sounds of the inspection as it flew low and slow over the water from the direction of what I assumed was their metallic structure.
It settled above the Leshana, dwarfing my dear ship under its massive size, and I watched as a hole opened in the bottom. What was unmistakably a winch lowered down from the vessel and into the Leshana’s hold. I had been wondering when the silver suited figures were going to man the crane that typically unloaded the ship, but it seems they have their own methods. After a few moments a pallet of our cargo was effortlessly lifted through the air and into the belly of the massive beast.
It continued to unload our cargo at an impressive speed, though not with the care that I’d prefer. My ears twitched at the sound of wood on wood as pallets were roughly dragged inside the ship. I winced as a pallet impacted the rim of the hold and a barrel of Ryla stalks rained down onto the deck, an event which nobody aboard seemed to care about. Another crate of puffles had not been properly closed and the wind blew half the contents out amongst the waves.
After some time, Veronis, Lorun, and most of the silver suits finally emerged from the ship and descended to the dock. I tried my best to keep a neutral expression as my irritation continued to build. That damned bespectacled Yotul had better make good on his promise of payment.
“The approved cargo is unloaded and the inspection is complete. The medicinal herbs, gunpowder, cannons, and any remaining crew effects will remain aboard.” Lorun read from his glowing clipboard.
“Where’s the Predator!?” The stocky one from before pushed forward and threw a bag of Scratch’s treats on the dock. “The ship reeks of it and I found its food in your cabin!”
“You mean the Hensa? It ran off as soon as we made port. Weren’t many skrits aboard for it to hunt this time so I suspect it went looking for a fresh meal.”
The stocky brute took a step back and seemed to shiver in revulsion. “Ugh, you primitives make me sick.”
“Now that’s the third time one of you has called me primitive and I don’t rightly appreciate it. The Leshana may not be the latest in Yotul technology like the Shining Cloud, but she gets the job done and will continue to do so. Speaking of which, I expect to be compensated for the damages incurred by your crew. A fee which you can avoid next time by allowing my lads to do the unloading.“
A few chuckles came from the strange crowd, and Lorun seemed to be trying to make himself as small as possible. Veronis stepped forward again, his paws still clasped behind his back.
“There won’t be a next time captain, from now on all transport will be handled by Federation shipping companies. We can move ten times the cargo of your quaint little boat and do it in a single day.”
“Your ships may be impressive, but I have plenty of loyal clients and open contracts to fulfill. As long as there is cargo to haul she will continue to sail.”
“You misunderstand, this is not a decision that is up to you or your clients. Outdated ships like these are a danger to everyone. There’s no need to worry, though. You will be compensated for the cost of your vessel, and if you so desire there will be job training available for you and your crew if you would like to continue working in shipping and transport.”
“I’m not selling my ship to you.” I growled, Mondi was right these guys have a lot of nerve coming in here and ordering us around.
“We’re not buying it, we’re compensating you for it following its decommission.”
“Decommission!? You’ll not be laying a paw on-”
“This is not up for discussion. Go ahead and take it away.” None of the men around him moved at the command, but the thrum of the vessel’s engines still hovering above increased in response.
I stepped forward and pointed a claw into the silver cloth of Veronis’ suit. “WE ARE NOT DONE TALKING! YOU WILL KEEP YOUR PAWS OFF MY SHIP!”
“Oh, we won’t lay a paw on her.” The voice in my ear sounded snide as a splash sounded from the dock. The big one had tossed the Leshana’s mooring rope into the water and the flying ship began to slowly move out to sea. Its winch was still lowered and had been wrapped around the Leshana’s main mast. The line went taught and began pulling her away from the dock with a sickening creak of strained timber.
“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HER!” I shouted as the gangplank tumbled carelessly into the water.
Lorun got between us and tried to push me away as the crowd began to shift. “Please, Captain, you have to stay calm. There's nothing we can do. You’ll be compensated for everything.”
“I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR DAMN MONEY! THAT'S MY SHIP!” I lashed out, grabbing a pawful of the silver cloth near the faceplate and pulled it towards me. I'm sick of negotiating with black panels. The least this bastard could do is look me in the eye when-
No fur.
The helmet came away surprisingly easily, but underneath there was no fur. Instead, the smooth skin was a sickening pale blue color. It shook itself and focused an eye on me. A bright, bulbous eye that wasn't where it was supposed to be. It had no snout either, just a flat face with slits for a nose and mouth. An arm reached out and took hold of the helmet, curling around the fabric as if it lacked any bones within. My paw flinched away before the uncanny appendage could touch me.
“That's quite enough out of you.” The words sounded in my ear, but all I could do was stare in shock at the creature that made them.
“Take him away for immediate screening.” It said as it affixed the helmet back over its face.
I felt a paw grab my arm and my mind snapped back into action. Lorun yelped and scampered away as I wrenched myself free and lashed out with my tail. A blow to the leg that would have laid most Yotul out flat only sent the stocky one down to his knees. I reached out again as something within me compelled me to tear off their helmet as well.
This one did have fur, but everything else was still wrong. The wrong shape to their eyes, the ears too short, the snout too narrow, and a menacing bristle of sharp quills rising from the back of their head.
“Stupid primitive!” It hissed as it got back to its feet. I had to run, but I was surrounded, completely encircled by these… things. My heart was hammering in my ears, drowning out the chatter from the strange translation device, and my eyes darted from one figure to the next as my breathing came fast and shallow.
I spotted a gap in the crowd and tried to dart through, but something caught me. My feet left the dock and the world tumbled for a moment before the big one slammed me back down. The air rushed out of my lungs and my feet scrambled for purchase, but there was none to be had. The big creature pressed down on me, and I wasn't sure if the creaking sound came from the wooden planks beneath me or my own ribs.
The translation device had fallen off in the impact but I doubt it mattered anymore. By the time my breath returned my paws were bound and any chance of escape was gone. The crowd thinned and I craned my head out to sea, searching for my dear Leshana.
The flying vessel was gone, and she was adrift in the harbor. My mind raced with ideas on how to recover her, but I should have known better. I watched in horror as wisps of smoke began to rise from the hold, building into a billowing black plume. I don't recall what I said then. I remember screaming, begging for someone to do something. The last thing I remember, as the flames licked her mast, is the report of a whole barrel of gunpowder blasting her hull to splinters.

1 month later
Roluno, Predator Disease Patient
It felt good to breathe the fresh, salty air of the outside world. It felt like coming home. I tried to go home a few times before, but those were bad choices. I wasn't ready yet, I needed more help. That's what the doctors told me. That was why I had to take my medicine every day, and listen to what they said.
I don't quite remember why I ran, the medicine made it hard to remember anything. That scared me sometimes, like there was something important just beyond the fog. Something bright and big, like a lighthouse barrelling toward me. It was too big and coming too fast and.
I shook my head. Nonono, that was just one of the bad dreams. The medicine helped me forget the dreams, helped me feel calm and content and keep the bad thoughts away, but I still needed to recognize when they were coming and banish them.
With my mind at ease again I perked up my ears. I was good this week! I had made good choices, and said the right things they wanted me to say, so I got to take a walk outside of the facility and into town.
I wasn't alone, of course. Milni was following close behind. The lilac colored Kolshian made sure I took my medicine, ate my meals, and went to my appointments that I kept forgetting. I vaguely remember being afraid of her at first. When I asked her why, she told me that I just didn't understand how they were helping me.The doctors here are all so smart, so it must be true. They know things about the mind and medicine that I've never even heard of. I was lucky to be under their treatment.
I gave one last look back to Milni and she gestured for me to go on ahead. My tail flicked happily as I strode away from the facility under the warm midday sun. The wooden buildings of the town were on the far side of the space port that the facility neighbored and I began to make my way across the wide expanse of oddly soft stone.
A ship was being loaded by a crew of my fellow Yotul on one of the landing pads. The huge vessel had a constant stream of them entering and exiting, pushing pallets full of goods on those amazing levitating carts. There was something comforting about the scene, so many good lads, hard at work for a common goal. The shouts of the foreman echoed far and wide, and I watched as a younger lad with fur the color of rust struggled to push a heavy cart. I wondered for a moment if I should go over to help before an older Yotul with sun bleached fur joined him in his labor instead.
“Come along now, leave them to their work.” Milni spoke as she laid a tentacle gently across my shoulder, guiding me toward town. Of course, it wouldn’t do to disturb the lads.
The noise and bustle of the streets felt calming, even if it was hard to focus on any individual thing. Milni had made sure I took an extra dose of medicine before we left, and it was making everything even fuzzier than usual, as if my head was stuffed full of puffles. Still, it was good to be out among my people, and before long we found ourselves at our destination, the harbor. Milni hadn’t wanted to come at first, she said the ocean was far too dangerous, but she agreed when I promised not to set a single toe in the water.
Milni found a bench a safe distance from the water while I walked along the sandy shore. The warm grains of sand dug between my toes, and the constant crash of the waves worked through my ears and down to the tip of my tail. Everything about this felt right, like it as where I was meant to be. I closed my eyes and breathed deep as I walked, enjoying the soothing experience.
My reverie was interrupted by a sharp pain in my toe and a snout full of sand as I tripped over something hard. I shook the sand from my face and looked to see a gnarled piece of driftwood half-buried on the beach. It was heavily splintered, and as I brushed the sand off of it I saw that it was charred on one side and made of an expensive hard timber. I dug a bit more and pulled out a chunk of wood about the size of my head. As I turned it and brushed more sand off I found the other side to be smooth and varnished with some kind of lines carved into it.
“What do you have there?” Milni asked. I startled a bit at the sudden appearance, but quickly turned to show her what I found.
“I’m not sure yet, but it looks like some kind of sculpture. See, here’s an eye and a brow...” I continued to reveal more and more of the mysterious piece, until the visage of a gorgeous Yotul was looking back at me. “She’s beautiful.” I whispered as I took in her features. Even though it was only half the face, most of the profile was there. Her ears and the back of the head were gone, but you could see a few splinters that hinted at the shape they once were.
“I wonder what happened to the rest of her?” I asked aloud as my gaze swept up and down the beach for anything else sticking up from the sand.
“Are you sure it’s a her?” Milni asked. “It barely even looks like a face to me. It’s quite crude, and the medium is downright primitive. Nobody carves wood anymore.” My heart sank a bit that she didn’t see the beauty that I did. Still, something about it called to me.
“Can-can I keep it? It can stay in my room.” I pleaded.
“You know that’s not allowed, Roluno. We’ll have to leave it behind. Come on now, it’s time to go back.”
“Oh” I sighed as I gingerly set her back down on the beach. I stood and brushed the sand off myself, my gaze lingering on it all the while. She stared back, her eyes pulling me towards her as something hovered at the edges of my mind. Something about her was important, but I just couldn't remember what.
“There’s no need to be so sad, it’s just an old piece of wood..” Milni chided as she grabbed my shoulder and pulled me away from the beach. Eventually I looked away and back to the gleaming silver building in the distance.
“Right, of course, just an old piece of wood.”

This last chapter was going quite long so I decided to split it into two chapters. The final part is written and will be posted on Wednesday, or as soon as I can give it another pass or two to make sure I’m happy with it.

Roluno: Captain of The Leshana
The sunrise brought little comfort from my place at the cabin table, just as the night had brought little rest. The crew had been slow in their work since yesterday, distracted and constantly scanning the horizon. Even Lonbur’s shouting only brought temporary haste, and the damned lights up above had been particularly busy, as if our actions had disturbed a nest of stinging insects.
“LAND HO!”
A call that once brought relief and joy now gave me nothing but dread as I pushed myself to my feet. I tried to think of what my dear Leshana would have said to me were she here. ‘Relax and have a drink’ most likely, I chuckled at the thought. What do you expect when you fall in love with a barmaid? Regardless, it sounded like just the thing. I opened up my footlocker and pulled out a small jug of ale. It was a special stash that I kept close at paw of the brew from the bar where we met. I made sure to stop by whenever I was in Rinsa to get some, and drinking it always reminded me of her. I poured a mug in honor of her eternal wisdom and took a slow and steady draw.
Memories of her danced in my mind at the malty taste. The way her tail swayed as she made her way through the dusty old bar, and how nervous I had been to talk to her. The way her ears twitched when he laughed at my terrible jokes, and the way the sun danced across her fur as we watched the sunset. The empty mug thunked back onto the table and I quickly found that same sun warming my own fur on the deck of the ship that bore her name.
“Look lively lads! The sooner we get to port the sooner we get paid!” I called as I strode down the length of the ship. The mood on the deck seemed to lift a little and the men moved a bit quicker. Lonbur was standing at the bow with a spyglass that he lowered at my approach.
“Captain, you may want to take a look at this.”
I took the spyglass and peered towards the horizon. I could just make out our port of call. There were no ships in sight, which was certainly odd for this time of year, but that was not the most remarkable thing. On the outskirts of town I could see a tall structure, maybe twice the height of the other buildings in town, and the morning sun reflecting brightly off of it as though it were made of glass or polished metal.
“What do you think Captain? Is it one of those things?”
“We’ll likely find out before the day is through. Stay the course and bring us in, same as always.”
“Aye Captain.”

The lack of ships at port grew more and more disconcerting as we tied off to the central dock. There were no dock workers either, nobody moving cargo, nobody manning the crane to unload the ship, only a few Yotul could be spotted down the streets that led further into town. The most ominous sign of all, though, were the charred posts jutting out from the water where another dock used to be. Eventually, the nearby office door opened and dockmaster Lorun hurried towards us as the gangplank was extended. He waited at the bottom, fidgeting nervously with a polished metal clipboard.
“Hurry up with that cargo lads! I want her unloaded before the pubs close tonight!” I called as I strode down to the bespectacled Yotul. I did my best to project a jovial air despite the sinking feeling in my gut.
“What’s the news there Lorun? The port is emptier than that cask of ale you owe me.”
“Roluno, get your Hensa and tell your crew to get all of their personal effects off the ship.” He said in a hushed voice, glancing back down the dock as he spoke. “Don’t worry about the cargo, you’ll be paid in full for everything, I’ll make sure of it. Just get everyone ashore as quick as you can.”
“What are you talking about Lorun, what’s going on?” I quickly matched his volume now that we were away from the prying ears of the crew. “We saw strange things at sea, and it looks like you have something similar just outside of town there. I need to know what’s happening.”
He glanced back down the dock and gasped as a troop of figures in silver armor emerged from a side street. “There’s no time to explain everything. They call themselves The Federation, they’ve taken over everything, and you Can’t. Fight. Them!” He poked me in the chest with his clipboard, drawing my attention away from the distant figures.
“I am serious, Roluno, they will not be trifled or reasoned with. Stay calm and get your crew ashore and nobody will get hurt. You’ll be paid for everything I promise.”
“Lorun, be honest with me, what have they d-” I had reached up to grip the clipboard still pressed into my fur, and as soon as my paw touched the surface it lit up with an eerie glow. Lorun quickly pressed it against his chest to hide the light and took a step back from me.
“Get your crew ashore Now Roluno.” He said firmly, but with fear in his voice. He only took a step back down the dock before he stopped and turned back to me. “And don’t let them see the Hensa! I’ll buy you some time.” He trotted back down the dock quickly, leaving me alone with the sounds of my crew hard at work.
Lorun was always a serious Yotul, but I’d never seen him afraid before. All I could think was that a war must have started while we were at sea. I liked to think myself in touch with the news of the day, but I’d never heard of any nation or group called The Federation. There were too many unknowns still, and if what Lorun said was true then my crew were in danger. Their safety was my first priority and I would be a fool to ignore his warning. I hurried back up the gangplank as my mind raced.
“Listen up lads, we have a change of plans!” I paused as Lonbur bellowed loud enough that even the crew below deck could hear him.
“ALL HANDS AT EASE! THE CAPTAIN HAS NEWS!”
I gave my first mate a nod and waited a moment for some of the crew to emerge from below. “The dock workers are on strike today and we will not be able to unload. Furthermore, the ship is due for a re-tarring, so I need you to collect all personal effects and take them ashore with you. I want every soul off the ship as soon as possible, now hop to it! I hear the pub is already open and a mug of ale is calling my name!”
I was met with a chorus of “Aye Captains”, even as confused and worried glances were exchanged. A strike was somewhat plausible, but all except the greenest sailors knew damn well the Leshana didn’t need to be retarred.
“HOP TO IT LADS! I WANT NOTHING BUT EMPTY HAMMOCKS AND BARE FLOORS IN THE CREW QUARTERS!” Lonbur shouted as the crew filed down the ladder to collect their things. I moved to my own quarters and quickly closed the doors. Throwing open the footlocker I threw in as many books and trinkets from the display as I could. A small rucksack was hurriedly stuffed with Mondi’s notes and charts, and what little else could fit inside.
Scratch watched me go back and forth across the room with interest. It was always too busy on the rest of the ship when we docked so I knew that she’d be here. Once I was packed it was her turn and I dumped out a small crate of fruits and grabbed the pillow Scratch was sitting on and dropped both of them into the crate in one motion, earning an indignant yowl from the small creature. A pawful of her favorite treats tossed in after her gave me enough time to close the lid and prevent her escape.
I slid open the doors and was greeted by Tihki and a group of crewmen idling about with their rucksacks and rain cloaks over their shoulders, unsure if they should truly disembark. I quickly pointed a claw at the helmsman.
“Tihki, grab this crate, and you two grab the footlocker. Be careful with them and don’t show them to anyone. Head to the inn and ask Sozin for my usual room to put them in. I’ll buy you a round at the pub later.”
“Aye Captain!” That seemed to perk them up and they quickly moved to their task.
“The rest of you lot hurry up and head ashore. There will be time for questions down at the pub.” They got moving and joined the trickle of sailors already headed down the docks and past the nearly two dozen silver figures that were beginning to make their way towards the ship.
Lorun was walking alongside them, pausing momentarily to shoo a few sailors that had stopped to stare before scampering back up to the lead figure. I couldn’t blame the lads for staring, the longer I looked the stranger the figures became. For one there were no segments to what I had previously assumed was armor. Instead it seemed to be some kind of silver cloth that covered their whole bodies. The face on each helmet was a black window like the one on the strange vessel, but not all of the helmets were the same shape. In fact, some of the figures were different shapes as well.
One was as short as a child while another was head and shoulders taller than any Yotul I’d ever seen. Even the ones of normal height were strange, with a couple having very thick bodies and disturbingly short tails. Several of them also had metal cylinders strapped to their backs, connected by a hose to a contraption in their paws. If I had to guess I would say they were some kind of steam or air powered weapon.
“Who are they Captain?” Rilo asked as he limped over, Doctor Niho was with him, helping him hobble his way across the deck.
“I don’t know yet, but according to Lorun they are not to be trifled with. Keep your snout shut and try not to draw attention to yourself. Now come on, I’ll help you down.”
Niho and I each took a side and the three of us joined the growing line of sailors descending the gangplank. Once the boy was safely on the dock I left him in the doctor’s care once more and quickly strode down the line of sailors to where Lorun was shining the light from his clipboard at one of the silver suited figures. The figure, thankfully one of the average sized ones, responded with a strange series of whistles and clicks that didn’t make up any language I knew of. Lorun seemed to understand them though, and responded immediately.
“I’m sure the incident was just a small misunderstanding sir, and besides no harm was done.”
“What seems to be the problem Lorun?” I asked, the group of silver figures stopping at my approach.
“O-oh Captain Roluno, the gentleman here was telling me that a cannon fired upon their vessel out at sea yesterday and they believe your ship was responsible.”
The pit in my stomach only grew deeper. So it was these silver clad figures that sailed the strange vessel. It didn’t answer the what and how of the flying ship, but at least we knew who was behind it now. The rest would have to be answered later, for now I had to be diplomatic.
“Aye, a most unfortunate accident. One of the young lads was spooked by your vessel and set off the cannon without permission. Rest assured he has been reprimanded. I am glad to hear there was no damage as a result.”
More whistles and clicks followed, though the figure kept their arms clasped behind their back. They paused for a moment before turning to Lorun with what seemed to be an irritated tone. The dockmaster jumped and quickly reached into his satchel with one paw.
“Oh, terribly sorry. Take this Captain, wear it on your ear like mine and you will be able to understand them.” He handed me a piece of black material that looked like someone had glued an earpiece from a pair of spectacles onto a small pointed mollusk. Lorun turned an ear towards me to show where he had a similar one clipped on and I did my best to attach mine the same way. My ear twitched at the new and uncomfortable accessory as the silver figure began to click at me once more.
“Can you understand us now, primitive? You need to identify and turn over the one who fired the cannon. On my authority as Senior Exterminator Veronis, they will be submitted for immediate predator disease screening.” It was jarring to have the device speak directly into my ear, and the slight delay made it hard to focus for a moment. I faked a quick cough as I gathered myself to address them, straightening to my full height with my ears at attention.
“I am Roluno, Captain of the Leshana, and everything that occurs on my vessel is my responsibility. As I said before, the lad has been reprimanded and does not need to be screened for any disease that I am aware of. We have our own ship’s doctor to keep an eye on the crew’s health, thank you.” I dipped my ears politely, hoping that would be enough to make them drop the subject
“This is not a disease that your ‘doctors’ are capable of handling, and if you refuse to hand over the culprit then that’s fine. We will be screening the entire crew over the next few paws anyway.” As he spoke my eye caught Tihki moving past us carrying Scratch’s makeshift crate. One of the stockier figures with a canister on his back seemed to take notice as well and tried to speak to him.
“You there, open up that crate.”
“Captain’s effects, no time for talkin.” Tiki responded to the unintelligible command without even breaking his stride, but the stocky figure seemed to visibly puff up and began reaching for him.
“Excuse me!” I quickly called out “That’s my personal cask of ale and I’m not one to share. If you’d like, I can buy you and the rest of your crew a round at the pub later.”
“Since when does ale come in a crate?” The stocky one turned to me, making an odd sound like needles sliding on fabric as he moved.
“Since I needed to protect it from greedy paws. It’s a rare Rinsa brew and quite expensive, so-”
“We don’t care about their primitive swill.” Veronis clicked dismissively at the stocky one. “Let’s just inspect the cargo and get this over with.”
He nodded to the rest of the figures and they began to move down the dock again. I spared a quick glance down the line and saw Tihki had dutifully kept walking. He and Scratch were safely ashore. I was about to follow the silver figures to the ship when Lorun placed a paw on my shoulder and shook his head.
“Leave them Captain, they don’t want their work disturbed. It’s best if you stay ashore. In fact, you should go join your crew for a drink. I’ll come let you know when they’re, uh, finished.”
I let out an annoyed huff. “I’m not leaving the Leshana to strange paws like them. I’ll stay right here and keep an eye on her.”
“R-right, I’d best go help with the manifest then.” He scampered off after the silver clad figures, leaving me on the dock to watch the crew file past.
I flicked an ear to Rilo and Doctor Niho as they went by. Old Hanlo had joined them to help the lad walk in my stead. “Don’t wait up for me lads, I’ll be staying to watch over the old girl. Hit the pub and have an ale for me.”
“Aye Captain.” They all said in unison. Even Rilo managed not to call me uncle for once. He’ll be a fine sailor yet. The column of Yotul marching past grew thicker for a time before fading out to only a few stragglers. The last to come were Lonbur and a rather disgruntled looking Mondi.
“Can you believe the nerve!? No respect for scientific equipment!” He complained to Lonbur, quickly turning his grievances to me as they approached. “Captain, those brutes insisted on checking my bag and tossed my good Sextant on the deck! The glass is cracked! And they wouldn’t answer any of my questions, just had Lorun tell us to leave! Who do they think they are!?”
“They are the crew of that flying vessel that circled us yesterday, Mondi.” I answered before he could continue. “And they appear to be in charge right now, so best to keep our ears down, you understand?”
Mondi did not understand, as I could see he had stopped listening after the first part about the flying vessel.
“I-I have so many questions for them. Surely they can answer a few academic questions, I’ll be right back.”
“Lonbur!” The burly first mate needed no further instruction as he grabbed the navigator’s scruff before he could get more than two steps towards the ship.

Some years ago on twitch, I got video ad promoting an indian song. I'm not sure why because I don't listen to that type of music but it got stuck in my head. I have since forgotten its name and can't find it on youtube anymore.
I could be wrong about the genre, but I think it had some rap in it. Like a mix of traditional indian music and hip hop.
The video was about a guy from the city trying to win over his girfriend's parents who didn't like him very much, the parents looked very conservative also were wearing traditional indian clothing. Some luxury cars were also shown in the video.
The name song had these 2 words, probably spelled incorrectly but similar to: "Mondi" "Bala".
The youtube channel hosting it looked like a record label and was not the artists's official channel, with like 2-4M subs, probably more now.
The video was released 3-5 years ago I think.

"I have secured a deal with the Oluken." Mondi Starlost had been negotiating for nearly three weeks before he commed them with the good news.
"Oh, thank the Bright Lady," Lissa approved.
"No, thank me," said Mondi. "Mims, do you have any idea what you almost did?"
"Me?" asked the Captain. "What'd I do?"
"The Oluken had no idea the Confederation was a slave state," Mr. Starlost told him. "They nearly cut ties with us when they saw the specifications for the implants."
"Huh." Mims grunted. "Can't say I blame them."
"Don't take this lightly, human," Mondi warned. "The medpods we get from the Oluken are the most profitable thing in Venturetech. They account for nearly forty percent of our revenue." A brief pause, then he continued, "They are also the source of four thousand, six hundred and eighty two lawsuits brought by medical industries. We are rendering most of their products obsolete. Between them and Unatco, we might be looking at a Corporate War on a scale never before seen. Any sign of weakness could set it off."
"War between corporations?" Yvian frowned. "Wouldn't the Confed Military crack down on something like that?"
"The Military does the bidding of the wealthy," said Mims. "If the rich want to fight, they'll stay out of the way."
"Exactly," Mr. Starlost confirmed. "Right now, we have too much money and too many ships for the other companies to risk a confrontation. If that changes, if there is even a hint that we might be vulnerable, they'll descend on us like frat boys on a passed out pixen." He cleared his throat. "Pardon the expression, Ms. Kiver."
"No need," Lissa told him. "Sounds like an accurate description."
"My point," the CEO continued, "is that the Oluken are very sensitive about this technology, and losing their cooperation will be a catastrophe that could doom the company. Do not," his voice turned stern, "fuck this up."
"Aw, come on, Mondi..." the Captain started. Lissa elbowed him. "I mean, Mr. Starlost. Have you ever seen me fail a mission?"
"I've worked for you for decades, Mims," the CEO pointed out. "I've known Chroniclers that were less good at pissing people off."
"I'll be on my best behavior," the Captain assured him.
"I should hope so." The CEO sighed. "Ms. Kiver, will you please keep an eye on him?"
"Don't worry, Mondi," said Lissa. "I'll make sure this goes smooth."
"I would appreciate it." The comm pinged as the Venturetech CEO sent over a data packet. "Give the data packet I just sent to the Oluken representative. I've included the time and coordinates. And above all, do not anger the Oluken."
"Thank you, Mondi," said Lissa.
"Happy to help, Ms. Kiver." Mondi Starlost almost sounded like he was smiling. "Venturetech takes care of its own." He ended the transmission.
Captain Mims donned his helmet. "Alright, let's go."
The Random Encounter was too well known to risk taking into Oluken space. Elements of the Federation government were still hunting them, and even civilians would try to kill them if they saw Mims. Instead they took one of the captured Gladiator class fighters, which Yvian had renamed the Lady's Mercy. Yvian had advocated for taking one of the battlecruisers, but Mims had vetoed the idea. He said they didn't want to draw too much attention. Still, Yvian supposed they wouldn't be helpless. The Lady's Mercy had the same capabilities as the Random Encounter, and it was better armed with human energy weapons.
Yasme Kiver had been moved to the ship's medbay. She was still under sedation. Keeping her comatose probably wasn't very healthy, but it was kinder than leaving her awake and aware trapped in her own body.
All the human ships they'd captured had come equipped with a jumpdrive. Yvian had wondered at that, but Mims had explained that nearly all Federation ships had one. Apparently, the humans had spread the technology far and wide as soon as they got it, making them available as cheaply as possible. It had seemed strange to Yvian, but the policy made the Federation as a whole far more capable than the Confed, where jumpdrives were hideously expensive and relatively rare.
The Oluken lived on the other side of Federation space. It would have taken over two years to reach them with conventional engines, but the jumpdrive took them there in just under a minute.
"System checks complete," Lissa reported. "All systems green."
"No hostile forces detected," said Yvian. "There's a lot of people out here, though." Nearly a thousand stations and tens of thousands of ships were scattered through the sector. Yvian saw Federation vessels, Vrrl ships, and dozens of other kinds she did not recognize. Oluken vessels patrolled through the system, groups of ten smaller vessels escorting three frigates and a cruiser, each. The vessels were odd, each consisting of an egg shaped main body with dozens of long thick mechanical tentacles undulating behind them. A closer look told Yvian each tendril had an energy weapon on the end of it.
The other ships all ignored the Lady's Mercy, though Yvian was still nervous about the large number of Vrrl in the system. Mims had assured her that they wouldn't be a problem, but she couldn't help but tense at the proximity of so many vicious hunters. They would eat her if they could. Only the Oluken's strictly enforced rules prevented them.
Captain Mims set a course for the station Mr. Starlost had specified. A quick comm to the station reserved a docking bay for them, and Mims engaged the autopilot. They would arrive in eleven hours.
Dinner was mostly silent. Lissa had been less surly after the Captain yelled at her, but not by much. Yasme's condition was still eating at her, and she still refused to talk about it. The Captain had returned to his usual stoic calm. Yvian suspected he was still annoyed, or maybe just worried, but she couldn't piece together what he was thinking. Yvian was still brooding a little, herself. Old memories, old hurts, and old worries kept floating through her mind. She wanted to share them, but Lissa was in no mood to listen, and the Captain... well. He was her friend, and he loved her, but she still couldn't imagine opening up to the man. Yvian picked at her food, feeling alone.
They got what sleep they could. When the Lady's Mercy began its docking sequence, the crew gathered in the medical bay. The Captain had doffed his armor, wearing a business suit similar to the one Mr. Starlost sported. It was strange to see the man out of his armor. The Oluken would allow neither weapons nor armor on their stations, and Mims had instead donned the most formal outfit he had on hand.
Lissa was decked out in a skin tight body suit. The white outfit was what she'd worn when she was job hunting as an engineer before they'd purchased their original ship. The suit was non-traditional, as it covered most of her skin, but traditional pixen attire would leave her mostly naked, and they'd learned the hard way not to show too much if they wanted to be taken seriously in a business environment.
Yvian had considered wearing her own body suit, but instead went for the fanciest and most expensive piece of clothing she owned. Mims had called it a swimsuit. It was all of one piece, form-fitting, but left her arms, back, and legs exposed. The suit was crimson, with "SPACE CAPTAIN" emblazoned on the front in gold letters, along with a picture of the Captain of Space himself. It was built out of very comfortable, very expensive material, and came with a self cleaning function. Yvian didn't know if it was more appropriate than her body suit or not, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity to wear it.
Mims looked Yvian up and down, then performed a much slower and more appreciative inspection of Lissa. His lip quirked. "It'll do."
"I thought you'd be wearing human clothes," Yvian remarked.
Mims shrugged. "I don't have any." He looked down at the medpod and grimaced. "Alright. Let's get this over with."
A few taps on the med console woke Yasme Kiver. She stayed unmoving as the cover lifted off the pod. Lissa took up the control rod and spoke gently. "Alright, mother. We're going to get you some help. Come out of there and follow us. Everything's going to be fine."
Yasme Kiver exited the pod. She was wearing one of Lissa's old outfits. The clothes she'd been wearing had been so soiled and damaged that Lissa had thrown them away. She exited the pod, eyes vacant.
Yasme's blank expression disturbed Yvian, but it beat the alternative. If ordered to, the implant controlling Yvian's former mother could approximate the expression of a free person, but it would be just that. An approximation. There was no way to give Yasme control over her own body. By unspoken agreement, they'd decided to let the implant operate in the default state. Yvian didn't know if it would be better or worse for Yasme, but forcing the woman to fake her own freedom seemed...wrong, somehow.
They walked down the hall and through the cargo bay, descending a ramp down into the docking bay of the station. As they descended, Yvian got her first look at an Oluken.
There were three of them. Each had three sturdy looking legs leading to a roughly pixenoid upper body. Two arms each, with masses of tendrils where the hands should be. The creatures were greenish brownish in color. The lead Oluken wore a yellow robe, and the two behind it wore some kind of blue uniforms. Their heads were thick and elongated, with four nostrils and four thick short tentacles rising out of them. A large eye topped each of the tentacles, complete with thick, heavy eyelids.
The lead Oluken was unarmed, but the two behind it each had some kind of whip on their belts. The lead Oluken stepped forward as they approached. It burbled something in a deep voice. Being on the other side of the Federation, the Confed had never contacted this species. Yvian's translator didn't work. Fortunately, Mims had uploaded a translation program into the pixen wrist consoles that would convert their language to one of the human ones, which Yvian's translator could understand. Her wrist console pinged and said, "Welcome to Qeevo Station. You are from Venturetech?"
Mims waited for the wrist console to finish relaying the Oluken's words before he replied. "We are. I'm Mark Mims." He gestured at himself, then at the sisters. "This is Lissa Kiver, and that's Yvian. No last name. The woman behind them is Yasme. She is the one we were hoping you could help."
The creatures eyestalks bobbed up and down. It raised one of its arms, and the tendrils waved. "Greetings. I am Nulon." One of it's eyestalks lowered. "Do the blue ones not have translation?"
"They do not," Mims told it. He? Yvian decided Nulon was a he. "They're the first pixens to meet one of your kind. We've got a workaround through the wrist consoles, but I know it's a little clunky."
"I see," burbled Nulon. Two of his eyestalks swiveled to regard Yasme Kiver. "Is that the patient? Have her step forward please."
Lissa asked Yasme to go to Nulon. The woman walked over, eyes vacant. The oluken drew a device from within his robe. He waved it over Lissa's mother. One eyestalk tracked the screen of the device, while the others watched the group.
He continued running the device over Yasme for over a minute. Lissa opened her mouth to ask a question, but a look from Mims silenced her. Nulon became visibly agitated as he used the machine. Frills unfurled from around his neck and arms, vibrating menacingly. The two behind him, some kind of security force, picked up on his distress. They lowered their tendrils to the whips on their belts.
Finally, he lowered the machine. "This is an abomination," Yvian's wrist console translated. While the translator repeated the words without emotion, the anger in the creature's speech was unmistakable.
"I agree," said Mims. "We were hoping you could remove it."
Nulon's eyestalks bobbed. His frills shook harder. "How could you allow such a thing to be?"
Mims grimaced. "It's not-"
"I wasn't speaking to you," the angry Oluken cut him off. "You are a human exile." It's burble softened. "I know it's not your fault." One of his arms undulated its tendrils at the pixens. "But these others... an explanation is owed. You three will come with me and explain."
Yvian nodded. "Ok."
Lissa frowned. "Can we? Can you even understand us?"
Nulon's frills slowed their shaking. He took a breath and let it out slowly. "I can. Mr. Starlost provided a lexicon of all languages spoken in the Confederation of Systems. Our translators have been updated." He turned back to Mims. "You will have to stay here, I'm afraid. The other humans would react badly if they knew the Kinslayer of Aldara was here. I do not wish for an interstellar incident."
Mims nodded. "I understand. I expected as much." His voice betrayed no emotion.
The Oluken's eyestalks lowered in what Yvian took to be an apologetic expression. "For what it's worth, we do not blame you as your species does. What you did... We know it was all you could do. You saved as many as you could. The fault was not yours."
For a moment, the human's eyes watered. He wiped a hand over his face, then he was calm again. "Thank you," he said, "but nothing you say can change my mind."
The eyestalks bobbed. "Yes. A heavy burden." He gestured at the security guards behind him. "These two will stay just outside the door. They will make sure you are not disturbed." Unspoken was that they would also make sure Mims didn't enter the station. Nulon gestured with his tendrils. "You two, come with me. Bring the patient."
As the door to the rest of the station opened, Yvian was slapped with a blast of hot, wet air. She followed the Oluken into a corridor that looked more like a jungle than a space station. Plants and vines crawled along the walls and clung to the ceiling. The center of the floor was metal and clear of debris, but the sides were lined with we dirt and murky waters.
A short walk took them past another docking bay. This one was full of Vrrl. The creatures were unarmed and unarmored, carrying heavy looking crates and placing them on an anti-grav platform. Yvian thought it odd that they weren't using freight drones until she remembered that the Vrrl disdained automation.
One of the Vrrl, a large tan specimen, looked up after setting down a crate. "Pixens..." he rumbled. His three eyes met Yvian's. "Delicious..."
Another of the Vrrl swatted him across the nose. "Shut your maw, Hithac! You know our orders." This one had black fur, and a silver mane. "No trouble on Oluken stations." He turned to the group and placed all four of his hands behind his head, thrusting his belly forward. "My apologies, soft paws. I'll make sure he doesn't bother you again."
Yvian and Lissa looked at each other. "Uh... no problem," Lissa assured him. "Have a nice day."
The silver maned Vrrl nodded. Hithac bared his teeth and started to growl. The other Vrrl swatted him again. "I swear to the Ancestors, Hitchac, I won't give you the honor of killing you myself. Disobey orders again, and I'll send you to Histel, to be hunted for sport. You understand me?"
Hithac's eyes widened. He eyed the pixens, then forced himself to look at the ground. He put all four hands on the back of his head, and thrust out his belly. "My apologies," he rumbled.
"Accepted," said Yvian. They kept walking.
After an hour of travel, Nulon led them through a set of doors and into a medical bay. The room contained half a dozen Oluken, and an array of what Yvian assumed was medical equipment. Nulon instructed them to leave Yasme there, along with the control rod. Lissa handed the rod to one of the other Oluken, then wrapped her arms around the slave, promising that everything would be alright. Then they followed Nulon out of the room.
They were lead to another chamber a little farther up the corridor. Nine Oluken were lounging in tanks. The tanks were made of some transparent material, and Yvian could see they were full of water and some kind of plant matter. The lower halves of the Oluken were submerged, but their upper bodies were relatively dry, and each had a console next to them. Tendrils danced across the console controls as she watched.
"Have a seat," Nulon instructed. He indicated a pair of chairs in front of the water tanks.
Yvian did as instructed, taking a seat and facing the new Oluken. Lissa did the same, but asked, "What's this about?"
"This is about answers," said Nulon. "These are the Elders of Qeevo Station." He pulled a device from inside his robe and showed it to them. "These devices will tell us if you lie, or try to hide information. You will tell us how and why this abomination has been performed on that woman. We will listen, and decide."
"Decide what?" Lissa looked nervous. Yvian was starting to feel worried, herself.
"Decide if we should help," one of the Elders spoke. "Decide if we should kill you. If we should destroy your entire species, perhaps."
Yvian and Lissa shared a look. "Oh Crunch," said Lissa.
"Shit," Yvian agreed.

When she was younger, Onita watched her father get falsely arrested and incarcerated for “trespassing” when he was on Indigenous lands, the government however dismissed this and her father was taken away. Not even a year into prison, Onita learned that her father had unfortunately taken his own life. This is when she started gaining a passion for equality and rights for indigenous people. After speaking and hearing the stories of others in the community that went through similar situations, Onita started working towards becoming the voice for her community and represented them in a long gathering which exposed the years of unfair treatment the indigenous people have received. She managed to grab and attention of the city mayor and changes were made due to that. After her story hit the news, she received many human rights awards. She wears the necklace on her neck that her father gave to her as a child and wants to honour him by wearing it.

The Syncopation is a behemoth in the music industry, as his band Phantom Kage is critically acclaimed by teens of all ages due to the rebellious nature of the group. That rebellion came easy for him, as he was born and raised in poverty, his mother walked out on him at a young age, and he was left to live his vulnerable teenage years with an abusive, alcoholic bum of a father, who made sure his life would be miserable. Music was what saved his life, as he related to the pain expressed in punk and metal music, and learned to drum on the down-low, and snuck out to join a band in high school. He ran away from home at the age of 17 to live with his band's singer, whose father just so happened to own a record label. His band recorded their first EP, and The Syncopation's fame skyrocketed. Now in his early twenties, you could barely recognize the abused impoverished kid who started the group. Adopting his stage persona, 'The Syncopation' as a full identity, he has grown reckless and vile, and is addicted to fame like it's a drug. As a result, he has become a master at manipulation, using higher-ups in the music industry to turn his label into a multi-million dollar operation, blackmailing venues into giving him gigs, flirting with, cheating on, and manipulating many female songwriters and singers into doing his bidding, and now has many huge faces in the industry feeding from his hand. He plans to run the game the same way, and dominate the game no matter how many backs he has to stab.

Ryen was introduced to music at a somewhat young age by his older brother, Graham. Graham himself had found his love of music through finding an album in a bush and ran home to listen to it. Ryen took interest in it and started listening to it as well. Soon he bought a guitar and started playing it as a way to upstage his older brother. At his school, he was mocked for being bookish, and he picked up a habit of getting in fights at school, which ended with him getting suspended. He then went off to college, where he studied many things but was never happy with any of them, so he spent about a year working long hours so that he could pay to go to Berklee. There, he impressed the teachers themselves with his extensive knowledge of music, and he chose to start working on his first song. Blending many genres together, he created a truly unique song that didn't sound muddled or chaotic, so he wrote a full album of stuff like that. This album didn't get off the ground much due to being so progressive, so Ryen just started experimenting with different genres until he finally found a genre that fit his music. He now releases his albums on Spotify and runs a YouTube channel where he makes music memes and also covers songs. He gives no craps about his public image, and he plans to run this game with an iron fist in a take-no-prisoners attitude. He's pretending to be a guy called "Ryen Comox", a surfer who doesn't care too much about the strategy part of the game and just wants to be there for fun.

Having a rough childhood, needing to fend for himself since a young age, Jamal knows what it's like to have no one to him but himself. Growing up without a strong father figure, Jamal vowed to be a good father, one with good morals who will set a good example for his kids.
Ever since a young age, Jamal, as the oldest of six kids, had to work part time jobs to help his family's financial situation. It wasn't easy, but it's what he had to do.
Despite the struggles, Jamal now lives a fairly happy life, with two beautiful sons, six grandkids and a wife whom he married 27 years ago. The road here wasn't easy, but he's glad he managed to get here.

She was the fifth member of a loving family, with two older siblings and two parents, and she loved every second of it.
Ever since she graduated high school, Rodriguez knew what she wanted to do. She wanted to become a teacher. A lot of people ridiculed her for this dream, but Rodriguez always wanted to help shape out the next generation.
Marrying her high school sweetheart when she was 24, Rodriguez is coming to the game with a passion. She's going to win this game, and she's gonna be remembered as one of the greats. Let's go!

Nephew of a famous pizza owner from New York, Maximiliano who they call Dice because of his last name since childhood, grew up on the Bronx, his father was a tailor while his mother worked as a model. He played various sports in high school including Baseball, Football, Soccer and Basketball. Even after being considered a jock he always was kind to everyone around him and very likable. He comes to survivor in order to demonstrate his abilities at sports and demonstrate he is a real survivor.

To ease the depression, he turned to drugs, but when he realized the dark path he was walking wasn't something he wanted for his future, he turned things around. He ended up going to college and became a public speaker to inspire others and not walk down the same road he did. He plans to be gentle on survivor and be everyone's friend.

Odalis is the textbook definition of a cougar in every way shape and form, but she wasn't always the conglomeration of plastic and makeup everyone sees her as now. Odalis was the ugly girl in high school. She was 200 pounds, riddled with acne, and didn't have a chance with anyone. However, she vowed that would change, and by senior year she was doing everything in her power to lose weight, from starving herself, to working out, to stealing protein shakes from cheerleaders. Odalis did it all, but she still wasn't satisfied with herself after she lost the seventy-five pounds holding her back from love. Before college, she went through the biggest transformation of her life, where she stole her rich dad's credit card, and bought herself plastic surgery and hair dye. After dying her hair blonde and undergoing a surgery, Odalis went to college and became the babe of the school. Everyone was after her, and she got her way with every single male who looked her direction. She got hooked on love like it was a drug, and went through men like it was clothing at a store during her college years. She settled down with one of her sweethearts in California, however, she demanded constant attention from him, and for him to stay home from work spontaniously for her, which ended up driving him crazy. She ended up realizing this, but believed it was his problem, not hers, so she went on to cheat on him with three other men. However, her husband caught wind of this, divorced her, cut contact, and convinced her flings to do the same. This broke Odalis, so she continued to try and "improve" herself so she could become the bombshell she was in college again. She has spent hundreds of dollars on surgeries to the point where she has more plastic than actual flesh in her body, and practically sleeps in a tanning bed. She now works in a massage parlor where she gets very close and personal with her male clients, and seduces them into having one night stands with her. Once she heard about Survivor, she knew she had to join. She could use another million to keep her looking young, and is all for wearing a bikini on national TV. She plans on using seduction to her advantage, and will go after anyone and everyone to do so.

Beni didn’t have a lot growing up as he lived with his mother and younger sister in a tiny rented home with not so great living conditions. However, this didn’t stop Beni from expressing himself as he took a huge interest in classical music, something that wasn’t very popular where he grew up. Beni always found himself isolated from other kids his age due to being more mature and less interested in modern music, activities, etc. Due to growing up with women for a large portion of his life, Beni always saw himself as more feminine and eventually came out as gay at the age of 17. His mother and sister were very accepting of him which brought the family much closer together. Others weren’t so accepting including his peers and landlord. Once his landlord found out, him and his family were kicked out and forced to live on the streets. This made Beni go into a deep hole, he found himself ashamed and vulnerable without nothing but his family. Beni went to the one thing the provided him comfort once before and that was classical music. He starting using music as his canvas, his outlet. As he started to eventually pursue it as a career by playing an old piano he found in a junkyard, he started getting doubtful that he should be doing something that would provide more money for himself and his family but was reassured by them that as long as he was content with was he was doing, no money in the world would matter. He took those words and ran with it as he started getting more and more opportunities to show his unique art to world while being proud of who he’s managed to become. Him and his family now live a much more stable life. He cane on the show to uncover more layers of himself he hasn’t figured out yet like he did when he found music

Kevin was born to two very rich parents in Kentucky where they basically tried to hide the fact that LGBT people exist from him for as long as possible. When he finally found out that they existed, he was around 14 or so. His best friend came out as gay, and Kevin had no clue what that meant at the time. When he realized what his parents were doing to him, he called them out and swore that he'd rather live on the streets than in a homophobic household. His parents disowned him for that, and he indeed spent the rest of his teen years on the streets before he met a person who changed his life forever. This person introduced him to LGBT advocacy, and despite Kevin not being part of the LGBT community, he constantly spoke out about it and frequently went to pride parades. He now works as a bartender in New York City. He has a Southern drawl that makes people doubt that he is an LGBT rights activist in his spare time, but he quickly proves them wrong.

Abandoned in an orphanage at the age of 7 after his parents died, he was constantly bullied at school to the point of quitting, he began selling drugs in the street at just the age of 14, at the age of 17 was adopted into a family where his new dad abused of him new mom, he tried to defend her adoptive mom from his adoptive dad from abuse but got slashed in the eye with a broken glass, he escaped from home and was homeless for 2 years before deciding to turn his life around and fight crime as a detective.

Botox became very greedy when it came to money, and she gave nothing to her family. Botox became very depressed about it and she was led into a downward spiral. She bought too many houses, she had way way too many surgeries (mostly botox). Everything was going wrong for her yet again. Now she has a hatred for her family and sometimes takes her anger out on other people

Angie was raised in a caring and respectful household. Her parents doted on her and her siblings gave nothing but respect (a bit weird she thought). That changed when she graduated from college. She studied art and on of the teachers gave her a bit too much attention. They started hanging out, despite him being 20 years older than her, and 2 years later that got married. He was rich as well and gave her everything. But for the next 15 years, he shown a much darker side to her, as he abused her and isolated her from her family, so she can be a trophy wife to him. 16th Vanilla - She didn’t do much, she bonded with Sydney, but it wasn’t enough to save her from the vote. She was voted out 4-3-1 by Jamal, Onita, Ryen, and Sydney, which was a shocker since she was the only person who formed a relationship with Vanilla.
15th Rodriguez - Rodriguez literally didn’t do anything this season. No social game and her tribe lost both immunity challenges up until her elimination. Due to this, it’s not a shocker she was voted out 5-2 by Jamal, Onita, Ryen, The Syncopation, and Sydney.
14th Scarface - Scarface seemed promising, being in the majority alliance in an alliance-heavy tribe, but he made a grave mistake. He left the alliance, which caused them to vote him out. He was voted out 7-1 by Angie, Azaria, Beni, Kevin, Botox, Odalis, and Roydon.
13th Odalis - Much like Scarface, Odalis seemed promising socially at first. She formed a tight alliance with Botox and Roydon early. But this made her seem like a threat to the majority alliance. She was voted out 4-3 by Angie, Azaria, Beni, and Kevin.
12th Botox - She was in the same boat as Odalis. She was against the majority group, and that didn’t help her stand. All-in-all this was a predictable vote-out. She was voted out 4-2 by Angie, Azaria, Beni, and Kevin.
11th Angie - This was the first non-completely predictable vote out. This was actually a blindside. Angie was in the majority group, as she was working with Azaria, a member of the majority alliance. But seen in the last episode, they were starting to get at each other’s throats. She was voted out 4-1 by Azaria, Beni, Kevin, and Roydon.
10th Dice - Dice was in a good position coming into the merge. He was part of alliances with both Jamal, and Ryen-Sync. But soon after the merge, his alliance with Ryen and Sync dissolved fairly quickly. If you look at this vote closely, it’s actually quite predictable. Dice and his ally Jamal vote Ryen, the former Tagi majority alliance vote Roydon, and the rest of Pagong and Roydon team up to vote out Dice. He was voted out 5-3-2 by Onita, Roydon, Ryen, The Syncopation, and Sydney.
9th Azaria - Azaria was in a good social position pre-merge. She was in a strong majority alliance, along with a backup with Angie. But she was just put in such a shit position when the merge came. She was in a minority tribe-wise, and when they tried to boot Roydon, they were thrown out in a 5-3-2 vote. She just wasn’t able to get out of the hole that was dug during the merge, she was voted out 4-3-2 by Jamal, Roydon, Ryen, and Sydney, failing a Sydney blindside attempt by Onita and Sync.
8th Beni - Much like Azaria, he was just in such a bad place coming into the merge. He just wasn’t able to fill the gap between him and the former Tagi. He was voted out 6-2 by Jamal, Onita, Roydon, Ryen, The Syncopation, and Sydney.
7th Ryen - Ryen was a social threat. He came into the merge in a great position, having an alliance with Dice and Sync. After blindsiding Dice at the merge vote, he formed another alliance with Jamal and Sync, putting him back into a power position. But, when he left the alliance, he didn’t have enough social protection to keep him from being voted out. He was considered a threat and voted out. He was voted out 5-2 by Jamal, Onita, Roydon, The Syncopation, and Sydney.
6th The Syncopation - This was such a sad medevac. Sync was in such a great position throughout the entire game. He wasn’t in the greatest position in the early pre-merge, but he managed to keep himself out of the crosshairs. Come to the merge, he had formed an alliance with Ryen and Dice. After blindsiding Dice, he formed a powerful alliance with Ryen and Jamal. As well as a strong duo with Anita. There was no sign he was going anytime soon, being guaranteed Final 4 or 3. But a medical evacuation forced him out of the game.
5th Roydon - This was a cool case. Roydon was on the outs in the pre-merge, he had a decent position with Odalis and Botox, but that alliance was seen as a threat to the majority and went out quick. He managed to survive until the merge, where he helped blindside Dice and survived a potential vote out. He managed to keep his position with the former Pagong members and survived until the Final 5. He formed an alliance with Sydney. At the Final 5, when Kevin won a clutch immunity, and he, Sydney, Onita, and Jamal had to turn on each other. They found the two pairs, Sydney and Roydon, and Onita and Jamal to be on different sides, with Onita and Roydon getting voted, with Kevin being the flip vote. He was voted out 3-2 by Jamal, Kevin, and Onita.
4th Kevin - Kevin played a decent game. He was put into a majority alliance early-on in the pre-merge and managed to survive until the merge. At the merge, his alliance quickly fell apart, as Azaria and Beni went back-to-back. But a couple of clutch immunities and a medevac helped him get to the final 4. He flipped back to Sydney’s side, thinking Onita and Jamal were more of a threat. The vote tied, and Sydney flipped on him on the revote. He was voted out 2-2; 2-0 by Jamal and Onita; Jamal and Syndey.
3rd Sydney - Sydney was another interesting case, similar to Roydon. She was never in a strong majority through the game, but she managed to keep her vote useful to the majority alliance for the merge. She formed a late-game alliance with Roydon, but after an immunity win by Kevin, Roydon was voted out. She was outnumbered by Onita and Jamal and was forced to flip on her other ally, Kevin, at the Final 4. This put her in a poor position at the Final 3, with Jamal and Onita having a brick wall of a Final 2 deal. When Jamal won the Final Immunity, she knew her fate was sealed. She was voted out by Jamal’s sole vote.
2nd Onita - Onita played a great game. She was never in a bad position. She managed to keep alliances throughout the game that kept her safe. But in the end, this came to bite her in the butt, as some of the jurors thought she just kind of was a follower. But she played a great social game nonetheless. She lost the final jury vote 3-4.
1st Jamal - Jamal did what he couldn’t do what he did in the original Capy’s Survivor, he won the game. He played a great social and physical game. He kept alliances strong, the only time it seemed like he could be blindsided was at the merge vote when he was only allied with Dice, who put himself more in the target position than Jamal did. Jamal played a master-level game come the pre-merge. Some might argue that Sync and Onita might’ve wanted him gone if Sync hadn’t been medevaced, but he played a great game nonetheless. He was seen as more of a leader than Onita and won the final jury vote 4-3.
Season I thought this was a solid season. The pre-merge was quite predictable, but it was decent. The merge, while predictable as times, was great. There were a couple of blindsides and unpredictable votes. Especially the Sync medevac and the Dice blindside. This was a very social-heavy game, rather than strategic. It was an enjoyable season. Best Moments: Dice Blindside, Ryen getting voted out, The Syncopation Medevac, Roydon underdog story, Kevin winning 2 clutch immunities, and the close FTC.

So I thought to myself, "did I really need it?", did I deserve it?" But then I also thought "I worked hard for this one day, shouldn't I go? I was so torn about asking for the money, that I slowly and painfully accepted that I shouldn't go because of the timing and the nearing deadline.
This year I'm in my final semester. My mom remembered two-days before the deadline to give me her information to pay for it. And even tho it was awhile ago, I still tear up over how I was unable to ask for something I wanted so badly because they needed the mondy more.
