I have to analyze a character from a book for an exam. I have to summarize the character's situation:
She gets up early in the morning, goes to school, after school she goes to the gym despite being terribly tired and demotivated. She is sometimes very motivated but very sad and lonely in the evening. She is very much looking for social bonding, but at the same time cannot engage in social bonding. She finds it impossible to come across as herself and pretends to be the way she wants people to perceive her. This mask robs her of an incredible amount of strength. On the one hand, she is demotivated to complete tasks, but also uses them to release dopamine through the effects. For example, she goes to the gym to fill herself up afterwards. She is always exhausted no matter how long she sleeps. She is a very cheerful and open person by nature, but since she had a fight with one of her best friends, she doesn't want to come across as she is. She tries to teach herself not to show her feelings, but ends up in the situation I described above. She feels terribly unbalanced.

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! The series where I take popular One-Shots, Adventures, Campaigns, etc. and fully prep them for both New and Busy DMs. This prep includes fully fleshed-out notes, music, ambiance, encounter sheets, handouts, battle maps, tweaks, and more so you can run the best sessions possible with the least stress possible!
Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, is a level 1-3 Adventure, the most recent Starter Set, and successor to The Lost Mine of Phandelver released by WoTC. In it, your players will sail to Stormwreck Isle, an island shaped by an age of conflict between Chromatic and Metallic Dragons. They'll be able to befriend kobolds, explore fungal grottos, fight those twisted by Orcus, and perhaps save the very island itself!
Have your players create their own characters or jump right in using the Pre-Gens that are built with backstories integrated into the plot!
If you've used my previous notes, you'll know that I take Adventures such as these and do all the difficult and time-consuming book-to-session conversions, so you don't have to! I do my best to include Ambiance for every scene, custom battle maps, handouts when needed, spell sheets, encounter sheets, and more!
This may all sound familiar, but seeing as this is a Starter Set, I think it's important to reiterate:

• Read the Adventure: I know surprising, but it can be extremely confusing when you don't know where everything leads to.
• Consider the needs of your group: As you've heard or are about to hear a million times, every table is different. If you plan on combining this with a campaign, you'll have to make tweaks here and there.
• These notes aren't meant to be the end-all-be-all: Tweak to your heart's content, and don't consider any of what's written to be set in stone. For me having notes like this helps give me the confidence to go off the rails and follow along with what my players want. It helps me understand where things are meant to go and why. Having that understanding allows me to guide the players and create other new and interesting stories. These are all things that will come with experience, though, so don't freak out and enjoy the journey!

I returned home after a long absence, finding everything in order. Starting university earlier in this year had kept me busy, from freshmen welcoming events to final exams, leaving my feeling overwhelmed. When summer break began and I returned home from the dormitory, it felt cozy and comforting, as if I hadn't been there in years.
My parents ran a restaurant, so they often returned home very late. With some free time on hands, I decided to relax by catching up on some movies I had missed. But just as I was engrossed in my movies, the doorbell rang. It was 11 PM, and I assumed it was the upstairs neighbor, as it often was.
Peeking through the peephole, I saw the familiar face of my neighbor, whom I hadn't seen in a while. Despite the annoyance I felt whenever he showed up unannounced, I couldn't help but feel a bit comforting tonight. I was home in ages.
During my stressful senior year of high school, I often got irritated by the neighbor's late-night visits. When I first saw him, I didn't know who it was and mistakenly opened the door. The drunk man stumbled into the house and slept on the living room sofa. Shocked, I called my parents and even the police. It turned out he was a new neighbor upstairs, and the day passed with repeated apologies due to his drunken state.
But every night at 11 PM, the upstairs neighbor would ring the doorbell. Alone and annoyed, I decided to use the intercom to communicate with the upstairs neighbor. During my sensitive high school days, the constant ringing of the doorbell was nerve-wracking, and naturally, the intercom conversations with the upstairs lady were tense and awkward. Whenever I met them, the upstairs lady always apologized, and I awkwardly accepted it.
However, the ringing doorbell and the drunken neighbor's visit that day made it feel like an event, and my voice over the intercom to the upstairs neighbor was cheerful. After a while, the feeble voice of the upstairs lady could be heard. I greeted her warmly and suggested that since her husband was at the door again, she should come and collect him. Normally, she would have apologized and come immediately, but after a long silence, she ended the intercom conversation.
Despite feeling puzzled by her unusual reaction, I understood that the elderly lady had been through a lot. The next day, waking up late, I saw my mother watching TV in the living room. It was already past 10 AM, and she should have been at the restaurant. I asked her what was going on, and she mentioned that the doorbell had been malfunctioning for a few days, so she called someone to fix it today. I told her it was working fine yesterday.
Finding it odd, she went to test the doorbell, which remained silent. She asked how I would know if it was working or not. I mentioned that the upstairs neighbor had rung it again at 11 PM last night, and my mother asked if I had seen the neighbor. Having been peeking through the door peephole, I confirmed it was indeed him.
I also mentioned using the intercom with the upstairs lady, but she abruptly ended the conversation without apologizing, saying it seemed tough because of her husband. My mother listened intently, her expression growing serious. My mother sternly warned me never to answer the doorbell or look outside if it rang again. She also advised me not to engage with anyone who showed up unannounced. Her subsequent words left me stunned: "The neighbor passed away a month ago while returning home drunk.
A chill ran down my spine as I processed my mother's words. If the neighbor had passed away a month ago, then who—or what—had been ringing the doorbell every night at 11 PM? Suddenly, the cozy familiarity of home transformed into an eerie atmosphere. I couldn't shake off the feeling of dread that settled over me.
Fortunately, after fixing the doorbell, the drunken neighbor didn't ring my doorbell anymore. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, leaving me unable to sleep properly. Unable to bear the weight of discomfort, I decided to return to my dormitory earlier than scheduled. My family still lives in the house, and I haven't heard anything about the drunken neighbor anymore. Yet, every 11 PM, I still feel a sense of unease and nervousness.

Going off the excellent theory that Ben is our Laurel and the show has been HAMMERING home why he will vote Kenzie over Charlie in a tiebreaker scenario, here’s my prediction for the 4-4 situation that will get us there:
Soda - Charlie
Soda’s a wildcard but something tells me she’ll gravitate towards the strategic/physical game of Charlie over Kenzie’s social game. I also think she’d respect Charlie for helping orchestrate her blindside. Plus, we never really saw Soda or Kenzie work together.
Tevin - Charlie
Less of a wildcard then Soda but still could vote either ways, especially considering Hunter’s almost a locked Kenzie vote and could sway him. But, I think similarly to Soda, Tevin will respect Charlie’s game more than Kenzie’s. Also, we were shown their game relationship during the early merge. Their conversations and working together on the Soda blindside could lead to a Charlie vote for Tevin.
Hunter - Kenzie
She was his #1 and didn’t vote for him on the initial tie vote. While there’s an outside shot Hunter could respect Charlie’s immunity wins and strategic moves, I think the show MADE SURE to communicate to us how much Hunter trusted Kenzie during his boot round all the way through his last tribal. Charlie and Hunter were almost always at odds so this feels pretty locked for Kenzie.
Tiffany - Kenzie
Number ones and didn’t vote for her on the way out. According to exit press, Tiffany and Charlie had a working relationship but we weren’t shown it really. The fact that Kenzie can claim that she wanted to cut Tiffany but it happened without any blood on her hands feels like a slam dunk Tiffany vote.
Venus - Kenzie
The most wild one to predict. She clearly respects Charlie’s game and clocked him as a threat early. They’ve also been shown talking game at multiple points. With the biggest evidence for their relationship being her advantage reveal to him. However, I think Charlie’s role as “second in command” to Maria (who Venus clearly dislikes) and his overall reluctance to really pull Venus in as a number will hurt him. With the final blow being that he blindsided her after her offering to play an advantage for him next round.
Despite Kenzie dunking on Venus in confessionals, they were shown talking game just as often (if not more than Charlie) and Venus saw Kenzie willing to search for an idol right in front of her. They were also BOTH out of the loop on the Kenzie vote so there’s camaraderie there.
This really is one that can go either way but Kenzie’s stronger support of Venus throughout the merge feels like it’ll win her the jury vote.
Q - Charlie
We were shown the downfall of the Kenzie/Q relationship for a reason. Their conversation around the waterwell was maybe the only time all game where Kenzie rejected the idea of working with someone. She felt burned by him and so I think he’ll return the favor with a Charlie vote. Plus, he, Maria, and Charlie all worked together on votes and I see Maria/Q as a voting block.
Maria - Charlie
Number ones and game respects game, especially if Charlie takes her out at 5.
Liz - Kenzie
Another iffy one but I think this is where the endgame will be critical. Liz/Kenzie were just swing votes on the Q blindside. While they weren’t as directly aligned for other votes (like the Tiffany boot), they feel more personally connected than Liz and Charlie. While Liz may perceive her relationship with Charlie as strategic, she may see her relationship with Kenzie as more personal. Clearly for Liz, the personal and emotional aspect to the game is important and when she’s already associating Maria with Q; she may rope in Charlie with that duo and side with Kenzie at FTC.
Theory - Charlie wins final immunity and chooses Ben over Liz to take to the end. Liz loses to Kenzie in fire (as many are predicting) and is bitter that she came up just short of FTC.
To recap, Soda - Charlie Tevin - Charlie Hunter - Kenzie Tiffany - Kenzie Venus - Kenzie Q - Charlie Maria - Charlie Liz - Kenzie
And now, to break the tie…
Ben - Kenzie
Despite the Sega connection, the show has gone OUT OF THEIR WAY to sell us the Kenzie/Ben bond. All the way back to the merge. The show isn’t gonna sell us the night terrors story for no reason, especially when Ben had a LITERAL VOTE for Kenzie that they could have used as a reason for a wedge between them. The story of the season is that admits all the chaos, all the characters, all the misplays, all the blindsides, Survivor is a social game and Kenzie understood the assignment.

In 2023 i made a post about pre-apocalypse factions and groups in AR2. Although the various groups and their goals were mostly cleared up the question of how the virus took over the islands. How did the United States military fail with the containment? Why are there Soviet armed forces soldiers and officers at the bunkers and the mansion? Why are there crashed black helicopters with unidentified personnel on Mackinaw?
When i asked other players about what they thought they gave a variety of theories on how the virus came to the islands and what all the different factions were trying to do.
Here are all the theories i have heard from players.
Mackinaw gem smugglers
Throughout a variety of locations including the prison's warden's office and party bus events you can find crates with gems. On Mackinaw, not far away from the airstrip, you can find a mine where gems can be found inside its tunnels and rocks. A theory came to mind that the virus originated from Mackinaw and that the smugglers either intentionally or unknowingly spread the virus to other parts of the archipelago. As their crates and gems were smuggled into the prison or to wealthy clients they became infected. This might also be a hint as to why the 'Rogues' can be found on Mackinaw, possibly trying to stop the smugglers or study the virus.
Controversies
The virus, being a virus, is organic meaning gems cant be infected with it. There are also no signs of the gems being cursed or having some form of anomaly. The airstrip shows no signs of an contamination or an experiment that went wrong and an pilot getting infected. Its posssible the 'Rogue's brought the virus to the smugglers but as long as their intentions or goals are unknown this can't be confirmed.
Campground's mad doctor
In a basement underneath one of the wooden buildings at the campground you can find surgical equipment and monitors. An infected doctor carrying an Walther P38 and a number of infected civilians can be found inside. This has led to the theory that the doctor was responsible for creating the virus through experimenting on humans. Its likely one of the patients broke free and infected the mad doctor and the campground residents.
Controversies
Due to the isolation of the campground it remains unexplained how the virus could have spread further from there to the other islands. Its possible one or more hikers got infected whilst visiting the camp and then infected the farmers at Salem or residents of Eden. However both infected hikers are located in the middle of Barkley's forests, away from houses.
Ashland hospital
Inside the hospital you can encounter yellow hazmat infected and a morgue. There are also signs of something going wrong at the hospital including turned over furniture and an malfunctioning lift. This led to the theory that the infection came from an experiment at the hospital or one of the bodies in the morgue had the virus. From there the virus infected Ashland, the biggest city in the archipelago, and then the farmlands.
Controversies
Outside the hospital in the middle of Ashland is a military camp and there are also military crates inside the hospital itself. This indicates that the soldiers who brought the equipment were well aware of the virus. This in turn means that Ashland hospital is not the origin of the virus as otherwise the military wouldn't have brought crates inside and set up an open camp in the middle of the city. All the hatches of the morgue are closed and no scientific equipment for experiments and tests can be found indicating that everything was well under control.
Regional airport
In many movies and games airports, train stations and harbors are locations of mass outbreaks and attacks. The Regional airport, being the biggest and only public airport in the archipelago, is major location when it comes to bringing visitors and goods from abroad. There exists the possibility that a plane might have brought the virus to the islands either one of its passengers or its cargo.
Controversies
The only planes at the airport are small civilian planes, private jets and military cargo planes. No actual commercial cargo planes are seen at the airport nor do any of its aircraft appear to be quarantined. There are police cruisers of the local sheriff's department at the main entrance but they appear to have been responding to a fanatic hostage crisis rather than an outbreak. There is also an fanatic inside the control tower with a revolver which might mean that the ATC communications were unattended when everyone became infected. There is also a well fortified military camp on the grass pad in front of the tower and military sleeping mats, crates and cans inside the terminal and tower which indicates the port was safe for the army to dig in at the time they arrived.
Beaufort and Salem cults
Beaufort: Underneath the Beaufort church there is a cave where an infected white plague doctor and his fanatic operatives can be found. There are several steel cages and an altar where prisoners were held and preachings were done respectively. It appears the cult was both fully aware of and prepared for the outbreak and tried to use mystical powers to protect its members. There is also a more darker side to the cult which is that they might have been doing experiments on their prisoners in order to bring armageddon to the world and cleanse the archipelago. In this way they could have brought the virus to the citizens of Halsey and caused further chaos by sending fanatics to the airport.
Salem: Inside the Salem church you can encounter a black plague doctor and a number of fanatics wearing vests and masks. The Salem fanatics tried to hide inside the church with the hope that they would be safe from the infection. There is a rumor that the Salem cult might have called upon dark powers to curse those not part of the group or engineered the virus biologically to gain more influence among paranoid and superstitious citizens.
Controversies
Beaufort: In one of the bigger buildings of Beaufort you can find olive/green sleeping mats and military equipment. Inside the sheriff's office infected SWAT operatives armed with assault rifles and shotguns can be encountered. This might indicate that soldiers arrived at Beaufort before it got infected and the police were preparing for action. Its also unknown how the infected could have left the cave through the heavy wooden hatch at the tunnel entrance.
Salem: Its unknown if the plague doctor had any connections to dark powers and there is no equipment that can be used for working with biological matter. There is also an well prepared police blockade next to the church on the bridge which might mean the virus was not active in Salem when it was set up.
The Soviets/militia
There is a significant presence of the militia and their Soviet allies throughout the entire archipelago. The game is set in the late 80's and early 90's during which time the Soviets and Americans were political and military rivals. On virtually every named island you can find a sign or equipment of the Militia and loosely affiliated smugglers. Meanwhile at the coastal bunkers, mansion, Lulu chapel and various camp and ATV events you can encounter well armed Soviet soldiers from both the army and the Spetsnaz. From any of these outposts and holdouts the communists could have easily spread the virus to sabotage American interests in the archipelago. Nuclear, chemical and biological warfare were used by both sblocks during the cold war.
Controversies
During the late 80's soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev ended the afghan war and cooled down tensions with the west. Its unlikely he would have authorized an biological attack on US soil. Militarily an attack on the archipelago wouldn't have been very profitable in terms of strategy as the virus knows no allegiance to anyone and is can easily infect any human not wearing a full body suit and a gasmask. Politically an attack against the USA with biological weapons would have been met with heavy reprisals and criticism by the international community if the truth were to be found out. There are also no signs of biological weapons usage at any militia or Soviet locations.
Volcano helicopter crash
The helicopter wreckage and infected soldiers and hazmat suit wearing responders raises questions what the helicopter could have been transporting. There is also no sign of the police or the military responding to the crash site as their vehicles are absent. There is the chance that the helicopter might have been transporting the virus and crashed at the volcano where its infected occupants attacked the responders and scientists at the geological research site.
Controversies
The isolated location of the crash site and research station raises questions on how the infection could have spread from the mountain to the surrounding towns and communities. There is also an fire watch tower with armed militia soldiers on the other side of the volcano whom might have been able to fight against the infected whilst also staying isolated and away from civilians. Its possible the virus could have infected hikers and some militia members who then spread it elsewhere (female hiker -> Salem farmers, male hiker -> campgrounds and surrounding houses, militia scout -> junkyard and mansion).
My opinion: I think the most believeable infection location from where the virus could have spread is the volcano's heli crash. This heli crash is the only crash confirmed to have happened at the start or before the outbreak as its location is permanent. There are also military police blockades on the bridges from the other islands to Barkley which look like they have been built to stop traffic from going to and from the island. Then we have also the lack of dedicated military camps and sites around Barkley. It appears the military primarily wanted to secure the power plant to maintain electricity for the archipelago. Compared to the other islands the civilians of Barkley seemed to be less well prepared for an conflict or any kind of attack as there are no gun shops at major locations like Lockport and Salem and there is also no police station, hospital or fire station. As to how the helicopter got the virus on board is unknown but many crates lay scattered around the crash site and vehicles with special equipment and hazmat infected are nearby.

So I used to dabble in Larin dance about 25 years ago and I loved it. I’m thinking of going back but I’ve developed a couple of health issues that I fear might make it impossible.
The major issue is that I have a problem with my right foot: basically, I can’t really bend my right big toe joint without pain. I have to wear shoes with rigid soles for this reason (I can wear a low wedge heel if it has a stiff sole). I can put weight on my foot normally as long as I have the right shoes on.
I have some minor balance issues. Nothing really out of the ordinary for an older person (I’m 54), but I don’t think I can do a LOT of spinning, for example.
I’m thin and fit and in good shape otherwise. Would basic Latin dance be a non-starter for me? I just want to do it for fun and exercise. I have tried dancing at home to test things out and it seems more or less OK, but it’s obviously not the same thing as dancing with a partner.
Do any of you have recommendations for shoes, ways to try this out, etc? I’ve though out just taking a sample class somewhere but I worry that I’d feel really nervous and self-conscious at this point for all the above reasons :(

I’m 20, my middle sister is almost 13. I’ll keep it short and if you want the long version I’ll send it to you separately. TW: mentions of SA & denial of 504.
My sister is in 7th grade. Last summer she told me about a girl in her grade who was making girls go with her to the bathroom. My sister was one of those girls and she forced my sister to make out with her. She was 11 when this was happening. Sixth grade for her. Fast forward and she has to be on the cheer team with this predator that the school said “we’ve done everything we could” in response to getting justice with these assaults. My sister’s cheer coaches are socially isolating her for being a victim of a crime. They’ve been bullying her for the past year & denying her accommodations. Her coaches are discriminating against her for her autism. She’s been in ABA for a couple years, despite me throwing a fit about her entering ABA my parents did it anyway. So she’s being discriminated against and doesn’t even know why. I feel very morally obligated to tell her myself because my parents keep saying they will and then don’t. Their excuse “we don’t want (insert my sister’s name here) to use the diagnose as an excuse for her shortcoming”. My first thought is, if I had a diagnosis sooner (ADHD) then I wouldn’t have a messed up sense of self esteem. What did I go through if they haven’t learned anything? Is it my place to tell her or confront my parents? The consequences of that may be that they take my financial support away. I can’t work due to a physical disability that they deny too. I’m working towards a degree with their money. I feel so deeply that it’s wrong to keep the truth from my sister, but I can’t put my fiance in that financial position because that’s wrong too. What do yall think?

Hey, like the title says I recently started a new channel. It's mostly viral wholesome videos but I just speak at the beginning and add CapCut captions.
I recycled an old greenscreen channel I had 600+ subs on, and in about 11 days I grew +90 subs and was getting a decent amount of views.
But in the last 5 days, my shorts literally haven't exceeded 20 views and have about 1-0 likes each.
The only thing I can think it might be is I have used the same song for almost every video, is it possible the algorithm thinks I'm posting the same video and therefore not pushing my content to anyone... or is this something everyone has to go through?

I hope everyone if having a good week!
I'm on my last year of my master's in eletrical and computer engineer, so this is now my "flavor" since i don't have that much knowledges on networks, security, servers, etc... However i'm currently working at a company with the goal of doing a "concept-proof" to a decentralized architecture where we can get more computational power. I already looked at Azure solutions, but they seems kind expensive. Hetzner seems a better overall solution, but i would want to ask, if possible, some questions to people with some experience on it:

• How latency usually looks like? My company is from Europe, so not that far from Finland/Germany
  
• How it is in terms of security? How much of the configuration is responsible from costumer side and how much in managed by Hetzner team?
  
• More important, how it works with Windows License? Our product is based on C# and use some Windows Native methods, so i need to setup my machine with a Windows license. Which type of license should i look for? Because i already saw, Standard, Enterprise, Core-based (what i think that could be the rigth one but i didn't found that much information), but i never found a clear information about for what it is and the price.

A couple days ago I shared here my first TRE exercise and how it led into a dream where all felt real and I kept tremoring. Today it happened almost exactly the same but the experience was much different, and more odd. I'll try to describe it as best as I can.
As a quick side note, yesterday I did the same exercise again but it was at noon, so I didn't sleep after. This time I went on for a bit longer and during the third repetition I actually got a full body tremor which was quite intense.
So last night after I had dinner, I layed on the couch to read a bit and fell asleep. Woke up at around 4:30 AM and headed to bed. I stayed awake for a while and then decided to try the exercise again before sleeping, this time repeating the routine I did yesterday. This started at around 5 AM (I feel this is important for a reason I'll share later)
I did the routine for maybe around 10 minutes, going through 3 cycles. At the third cycle my legs tremored very violently and got a full body tremor again.
After I stopped, I put on my eye mask and intended to sleep, but instead I slowly felt my body locking up and going into full paralysis.
Now, I am no stranger to sleep paralysis and the visions one can have while in it. In fact, in a way I yearn for it so I can train to eventually feel comfortable during that state, and i've become quite adept at at least remaining composed and actually pulling myself out of it at will when I want. My point is: I'm fairly experienced in sleep paralysis and hallucinations, and this felt NOTHING like I've ever felt before.
The overall experience was almost exactly the same as in my first post: I was on my bed, in my same room, getting frequent intense full body tremors, all while remaining conscious.
However, during this time the whole atmosphere of my room felt very oppressive, just like in any other sleep paralysis experience. But at this time I wasn't having any visions and I actually had "limited movement"
I say that in quotations because I wasn't really moving my physical body, the same body typing this post, because it was totally paralysed. The best way I can describe it, as absurd as it sounds, is like if my consciousness instead of remaining in my paralyzed body, shifted to a parallel reality or dream world of sorts where everything is the same: my room, my bed, except I was inhabiting another version of my body wearing the same clothes, laying in the same position.
Anyway, while I was in this state, I retained full consciousness. I took the opportunity to experiment by thinking about stuff, and at one point I thought about my dog outside my bedroom door. As soon as I did, my face took an uncontrollable expression of feagrief. I felt my mouth open and it remained open for the rest of the experience to the point I could feel my tongue dry out. My theory on why I made that expression is because in my last experience, my dog was gone; and I feared that she would be gone again.
I tried standing up and walk to my door, but my body felt so heavy and would be janked back to the bed, like if gravity was 100x stronger. Moving was exhausting.
At one point I heard my parents wake up and do their morning routine. All the while I was trying to get out of the room ,trying to get up the bed, and even at one point I heard a weird noise right beside me, but since I was aware I was in an altered state of consciousness, I paid it no mind.
Eventually I managed to stand up and move to my door. I felt very weak, could barely walk, and I still retained my eye mask on my forehead and my frightened expression; I could only breathe through my mouth in heavy bursts.
My parents were having breakfast and discussing some stuff. This time, when I opened the door, the house was exactly the same and my dog was there. My parents paid me no mind and continued their talk.
For some reason I moved to the front door and I almost fell. My parents approached me and grabbed me by the arms to lift me up; they said nothing. Then they started dragging me back to my bed, and I got the idea to use that as an "anchor" to "wake up" in my real body.
Here's the weirdest part about this whole thing: as they were approaching my bed, I consciously started to move my REAL fingers, because I could barely feel the bed sheets. Each step they took, I could feel more of my bed.
Eventually, as my parents were sitting "me" on the edge of the bed, my consciousness gradually shifted to my real body. Once I was back, I felt all the oppressiveness gone, and felt like all the nerves on my body reactivated and I could move again. I
Now, why is this experience different than the previous one? (Other than the obvious reasons of my living room being different and my dog gone)
Because this time I'm sure this was NOT a dream, not even a lucid one, for 3 reasons:
-Unlike the previous experience, I NEVER fell asleep.
Think about when you are falling asleep, your consciousness slowly slips away. Then there's this period of unconsciousness, then you either suddenly appear in a dream or you wake up hours later. I've had lucid dreams before, and this void of consciousness between being awake and being in a dream is always there. That's why lucid dreamers do reality checks.
Last time I did say it was the smoothest transition into a dream I've ever had, but I did have this period of unconsciousness. This time I DIDN'T, because when I get sleep paralysis, there has never been a "skip" between being awake and being paralyzed. It's always gradual, and I'm fully conscious the whole time.
-Going hand in hand with the previous point: I NEVER woke up.
Now think about when you wake up. Regardless if you were dreaming or not, you either suddenly open your eyes and regain consciousness, or it happens gradually. If it happens gradually, at first you'll always feel groggy.
Last time, I distinctly remember suddenly waking up in a slight shock. This time I didn't. I didn't slowly regain consciousness either, because as I've mentioned, I was ALWAYS conscious, always awake; I just "shifted" bodies, and while I was doing that I could gradually feel my real body again.
Now, I've had experienced dreams where if something in the real world has a strong presence around me (noise, light, movement, temperature, wanting to pee, etc), that element will creep into whatever I'm dreaming, I'll notice that element, and then quickly wake up. But this felt different

And to cap this one off: when i "returned" to my body, my eye mask was on my forehead, my mouth was actually agape and my tongue was dry, just like it was during the whole experience
-Finally, the previous experience lasted 6 hours, but didn't feel like it because I was actually sleeping. Time is weird when you are dreaming, it can go too slow or too fast. In that case, those 6 hours went too fast.
This experience however, I'm sure lasted what I felt like it lasted, which was around an hour.
I mentioned earlier that this happened at around 5-5:10 AM (checked the clock when I began the exercise). My parents always wake up at 5:30 and start their breakfast around 6.
Also remember how I mentioned that I heard them having a conversation while I was walking to the door? When I returned to my body, they continued with that conversation, exactly where they left off.
So what was all that? My best guess is that I did get sleep paralysis, and a pretty long one. Due to its length, I had a more complex hallucination than normal
Cool, so why did I post it here instead of any other sub? Because this has NEVER happened to me before; not like this, not with this complexity, and not this quickly.
I've tried experimenting with lots of things before sleep: Wim Hof breathing, affirmations, visualization, subliminals, binaural beats, you name it. Most of the time I get a profound restful sleep, very cool dreams, and less commonly sleep paralysis, and while these are always wild, they don't last long at all.
Yet, the first ever couple instances I do TRE at night, I get some of the most intense experiences in my life, and not only that; but they are remarkably similar, with the most recent one building upon the first one in complexity and intensity.
Why is that? How is this technique so powerful? Does it even have something to do with my experiences or was it just a coincidence?
Part of me wants to test it again tonight but I think it's wiser to abstain from doing this before sleep, at least for a while, until I get more familiarized with the exercises and the sensations. To be clear I'm not afraid of it and I was never afraid during my experience; but I'm aware I found something that has proven to be very effective for me to induce altered states of consciousness, so Id rather take my time testing it.
I guess the last thing I can say is; Has anyone else ever experienced something similar to this after they've begun doing TRE?

In our last post, we discussed the confusion some members had about which factories are famous for specific brands. Today, I will try to discuss the quality differences between various factories for specific brands.
As we know, different factories and sellers are famous for various brands, but the question is which factories offer the best quality and which offer second-tier quality, etc.
Dior: I recently purchased a Lady Dior medium from the god Factory seller and a Lady Dior mini from the Angel Factory seller. After close comparison of both factory qualities, god Factory edged out Angel Factory according to my experience with replicas.
YSL: Jundu used to be the best for YSL. I have a YSL Loulou from the Jundu factory. A few weeks ago, I bought a YSL Envelope from Black Frame, and the quality of my Loulou and Envelope bag is very close, so I think Black Frame is certainly the best for YSL now.
Celine: For Celine, Black Frame is head and shoulders above all other factories.
Loewe: I have a Small Puzzle bag from the Jipin factory seller and The Flamenco from the Qiatiun factory seller. After comparison, I felt that Jipin is the best, followed by Qiatiun for Loewe bags.
Chanel: My sister bought a Chanel Flap 25cm from the 187 factory seller, and I have a Flap bag from the Rome factory. The quality of the 187 factory is far better than Rome in our opinion.

Oxford Super Hoodie 2.0: - A rated but level 2 elbow/back/shoulder - Bright red (way more visible than the black roadskin one) - seems highly regarded on the sportsbikeshop reviews
It's basically do I go for slightly better protection or better visibility? This will only be used for short rides within town to the gym/shop etc.

So, growing up I was the oldest child and had a brother who was 4 years younger than me. I grew up in a strict Catholic household, but my parents grew a bit more open minded once I was in high school and college. My mother specifically is pretty open minded about most things these days, but my Dad still lives a bit in the dark ages.
When I was in middle school, I started to notice that I would occasionally go to look for something in my closet and couldn't find it. I would mention it to my Mom, who did my laundry, and most often she would say she didn't have it. Almost always, the piece of clothing would mysteriously appear in either the laundry or my closet days later. My parents told me I just owned too many clothes and my closets/drawers were simply too full, and that's why I lost these items.
In high school, this continued with more frequency, and I started to notice that it was always very particular items of clothing- plaid mini skirts, knee high socks, heeled boots, and sometimes, even underwear. I have several vivid memories of going to pull underwear out of my dresser and seeing that it had obvious stains or spots on them- that they were not clean and had definitely been used, but not by me. I also noticed that sometimes the items would be put in the closet in the wrong spots (I had everything organized a particular way) or they were hung up on hangers oddly. I started to think my brother was the one stealing my clothes, because it couldn't be anyone else in the house. I figured he was doing it just to mess with me, so I started confronting him about it- always in front of my parents and most often at dinner. Immediately my brother would yell and say there's no way he would do that, and my Dad would jump right to his aide and defend my brother. How dare I accuse him? It's not his fault that I'm messy/own too many clothes to keep track of. In private, my Mom would say that she couldn't think of another explanation, but that she didn't believe my brother was doing it and I shouldn't bring it up at family dinners anymore. I was getting increasingly frustrated as this was going on for YEARS. Eventually, I started doing my own laundry, and locking my bedroom door when I wasn't home. Even then, the same thing would happen occasionally. I knew in my heart it was my brother but it didn't matter, because any time I brought it up I was the one blamed for causing a fight. I even confronted my brother privately a few times, but he never admitted to anything.
Well, one day when I was in my Senior or Grad year of college- I was probably around 22 at the time- I wanted some alone time while the house was empty and I go to get my vibrator out of the bottom drawer of my nightstand, except... it wasn't there. I looked everywhere, even dumping out the drawer completely just to make sure it wasn't. My mom knew I had one, so the first thing I did was call her and ask if she knew what had happened to it. She didn't. So, I went into my brother's room and started searching. There, shoved into the corner of his closet under a bunch of random stuff, was a stash- complete with multiple of my items of clothing, shoes, handfuls of underwear, and my vibrator. To say I was pissed was an understatement. I was seeing red. My mom and brother were on the way home, so I took pictures, put everything back, and waited.
When they got home, I called them upstairs into his bedroom. I, calmly and even-toned, said to my brother that I wanted to know, once and for all, whether or not he'd been the one messing with my clothes for years, and that I wouldn't be mad, but I wanted him to admit to it if it was him. Immediately, he starts screaming for me to get out of his room, how dare I accuse him, etc. At this point, my Mom was pretty convinced herself as over the years there was never another explanation, so she tried to come to my aid and explain that it's nothing to be embarrassed of and he could talk to her about anything. She even asked me to go out of the room so they could talk privately. I eavesdropped from outside, and heard him say that it's not his fault I'm crazy and a bitch, etc. He continued to deny it. I had reached my tipping point. I burst into the room, threw open the closet door and grabbed the vibrator. I whipped around with it in my outstretched arm, looked him dead in the eyes and screamed "EXPLAIN THIS!" A look of absolute horror reached his face. He didn't say anything. So, I threw the vibrator at him, and then starting taking each other item out of the closet and throwing it into a pile in the middle of the room. Only after that was done did he finally crack. He started to sob. I told my Mom that I would be back, that she needed to talk to him, and I left the house.
A few hours later, I returned and my Mom basically told me that he admitted to stealing the clothes for YEARS. He wouldn't tell her what he was doing with them- she thought he was maybe putting them on pillows and pretending they were girls (he'd never had a girlfriend or anything) but I always thought- and still do- that he'd been wearing the clothes in his room. She discussed with him that she would be willing to purchase women's clothes for him so that he wouldn't need to steal mine, and that she would do it in private so my Dad wouldn't know. She also told me that he was incredibly ashamed and she was nervous he'd hurt himself or attempt to end himself because of my confrontation (never in his life had he ever showed signs of this). I told her to relay the message to him that all I wanted was an apology.
A few hours later, he came to me, totally unable to look me in the face, but he apologized for the years of stealing- and sometimes ruining- my clothes. He apologized for denying it every time he was confronted and even offered to replace every single item of clothing/underwear if I wanted (It would have been a couple hundred dollars). I thanked him for apologizing, told him that I would be more than willing to purchase him things myself, that I did not want him to replace anything (because no one wants their brother to buy them a sex toy) and that if he ever wanted to talk about things I was there. It was that day that I told him I was bisexual, had had a girlfriend in secret in high school, and if he was questioning anything I would be an open ear. Even then, our relationship was strained for a long time.
It's been like 6 years now. I moved out as soon as I could, and always said to my Mom that I moved out more to get away from my brother than my parents. My brother has been more open with me in the past few years about his identify and sexuality (I believe him to be demisexual) and the fact that he does, in fact, purchase and wear women's clothing on occasion in the privacy of his own room. He once asked me if it would be okay for him to wear lingerie- type items when he visits/sleeps over my apartment. I respectfully declined, stating that I still harbored negative feelings towards that whole situation and quite frankly, didn't want to see my brother in his underwear, and he accepted that.
Still, to this day, I harbor resentment towards my parents that they never took my side until there was hard, undeniable truth in front of them. I actually don't know if my Mom ever told my Dad- he could be totally unaware of this whole situation. I've always thought they treated my brother differently. I had to be the responsible one. I had to be the one that held it all together. I had to be the one to do things for everyone else, even at my own expense. I've never really truly forgiven them for not believing me.
Anyway, that's what I's unpacking in therapy this week. I hope the visual of me flinging a vibrator across a room made you smile if nothing else! Cheers everyone.

Hello everyone! I am currently a business student and just purely curious. I would be happy to learn and understand things so feel free to share your thoughts. Positive or negative. Let me learn from you respectfully.
I saw this article where this Rosmar (I don't know much about her honestly as I don't watch local TV or use any socmed that much) claimed in an interview with Toni that she earns 5M-13M in a DAY. Let me repeat in a DAY. Sounds inspiring and stuff like that bla bla but something feels off.
In my personal perspective, I am crazy with beauty products, focus on skincare (I don't wear make up that much). I am avid buyer online in different platforms and apps on my phone and its my ritual whenever I visit malls to check out Watsons/Sm Dept/Rustans, etc.
First, I don't know her brand (not aware?) and it doesn't look reliable to me. I don't even see it at malls that much or maybe an independent store or any presence like how Avon is marketed. Even in trusted online store like Sephora ph, BeautyMNL, beautyshopph, or even in watsons online, I don't see it? It's in Shopee and Lazada though but I dont fully trust products there with usually no FDA approval. I do use those apps a lot for different products coz it's cheap. So, overall, her brand doesn't have that solid exposure in the general public to be a household name that you can assume can cater a big number of consumers. Other than cringe reels of hers I see time to time when i scroll in youtube randomly, that's it. Even commercials? Or billboards (maybe I'm just not aware because I don't go out that much)
Second, the timeframe. Based on the things I read, in average, a good managed started up company can possibly earn millions in 3-5years, lots of factors, it varries. I only heard her name around after pandemic, with the economic issues the country have previously. If she say a million in a couple of months, maybe I'll believe it like 30% but does her company export outside that big to say that?
Third, her house is extravagant indeed with sport cars she boasts but the way she act and how she organised her household, it kinda gives me the feels of somebody who won lotto one day and just picked up a random mansion. Her mannerisms and the way she speaks is off. She doesnt even give a nepo baby vibes with rich parents as well or i just dont know. Successful hardworking CEOs stories that I see choose to customised and build their house on their own and you can feel how aura of someone who put their blood and sweat on their business. Forgive me if I'm judgmental but she doesn't sound like someone skillful by experience. I used to watched OFW stories who didn't have education and yet through practical skills they can specifically explain how they expanded their business. But in her shoes, it's like magic and like it just boomed one day.
I heard she stuff lots of cash in her house as well and she buy big things in cash. Now that's really suspicious to me. Someone rich would rather put it in a bank and pay in cheque for super big purchase.
To all struggling business owners out there. I salute you. I aspire to build my own in the near future too but I'm pretty sure it's a journey of trial and error and lots of never giving up. Cheers!

Have you ever found youself diving into the depths of Youtube and Tiktok rabbit holes, knowing you have some important tasks to finish? Meet me :) Last monday I sat down at a coffee shop, opened my laptop, ready to finish this task once and for all. It was only going to take like 2 hours, but it was really boring work. Soo what did I do instead? Watched failarmy videos on youtube for 1 hour first, and then finally when my friend texted me if I wanted to grab lunch in 2 hours I started doing actual work because I knew I had to finish it by then. Sounds familiar?
Soo why did I lose all self-control?

1. Emotional Triggers: Often, we procrastinate to avoid discomfort, whether it's boredom, anxiety, or insecurity about our abilities. It’s our brain’s way of saying, “I don’t like how this feels, let’s do something more fun.”
2. Immediate vs. Delayed Gratification: Our brains are wired to prefer immediate rewards. Watching videos or scrolling through memes offers instant gratification, while the rewards of working on a project are distant and uncertain.
3. Habitual Responses: Sometimes, procrastination is just a bad habit. If you habitually check your phone first thing in your work session, you’re setting yourself up for a cycle of distraction.

And how can I get it back?
Breaking the procrastination cycle requires strengthening your self-control, and here’s how you can start:

• Set Clear, Achievable Goals: Break your tasks into small, manageable steps and set goals that are realistic. The satisfaction of ticking off a small task provides positive reinforcement and encourages you to keep going.
• Manage Your Environment: Control external factors that lead to procrastination. Keep your phone out of reach, use apps to block distracting sites, and create a workspace that encourages focus.
• Mindfulness and Reflection: Spend time reflecting on what triggers your procrastination. Mindfulness can help you recognize when you’re about to procrastinate and choose a different action.
• Routine and Rituals: Build rituals that signal it’s time to work—like a cup of coffee at your clean desk, with your to-do list ready. This can help transition your brain into work mode.
• Self-forgiveness: Be kind to yourself when you slip up. Self-forgiveness can reduce the guilt that fuels further procrastination.

My advice :)
I used to be a chronic procrastinator, letting the immediate ‘fun’ things drown out the important tasks. It took a real toll on my stress levels and overall happiness. Through applying these strategies, I’ve seen a real change in my productivity and well-being. You can too!
Procrastination doesn’t have to define us. With practice and persistence, we can overcome it.

After beating the game and recruiting all characters, I can confidently express say that Eiyuden Chronicle is a commendable successor to Suikoden, capturing its essence beautifully. It’s been a while since I’ve dedicated over 100 hours to a JRPG—the last being Xenoblade. I’d like to offer some detailed feedback on what I found to be the best and worst aspects of this game. I’ve felt a strong connection with the characters that intrigued me the most. This diversity extends to gameplay, with varied weapons, fighting styles, and roles within the HQ, whether as fighters or support for your team. The convergence of allied and antagonistic factions throughout the story is also a highlight.
• The battle system is exceptional, never dull, with a rich array of skills, magic, and combos. Playing on hard difficulty with restrictions has made magic incredibly useful, and I’ve enjoyed mastering it. The return of runes, particularly the management aspect, equipment, and stat mechanics, is a welcome feature. I’ve engaged in manual combat more than anticipated, but auto-battles have been convenient for simpler encounters.
• The overall difficulty is well-balanced. I’ve played on hard mode with restrictions, leading to several boss defeats after multiple attempts, which was gratifying. Bosses with special mechanics add complexity to battles, and I only wish there were more of them. Additional unlockable end-game content would be appreciated.
• The soundtrack is a pleasant surprise, far from monotonous, and complements the game’s various segments beautifully. The opening title song is especially noteworthy, reminiscent of the iconic Final Fantasy theme and Studio Ghibli’s epic compositions, such as “Flags of Brave.”
• The Spanish localization is impeccable. Despite initial criticism from detractors, the translation holds up well, which don’t detract from the gameplay, at least in the spanish version. Anyway, the behavior of some players and their treatment of developers regarding the localization topic is regrettable.
• The original Japanese voice acting is outstanding, featuring renowned talents known for their roles in anime like Fate Stay Night and Golden Kamuy.

Worst:

• The narrative, while not poor, could benefit from more grandeur and a graver tone. The game’s cheerful disposition, akin to many generic anime, is pleasant but lacks the gravitas that a darker narrative could provide. A less predictable plot with dramatic twists would have been preferable. The story’s simplicity lies in its events and characters, which are enjoyable, though the epic moments are sparse.
• Technical issues, such as bugs in the cooking contest (already fixed) and certain character recruitment, along with a flawed auto-fight strategy system (characters does not follow the individual orders), detract from the experience. The most jarring are the duel scenes plagued by audio desync and freezing, disrupting immersion, specially during the final battle and the excessively bugged credits sequence, where I stayed for more than 30 minutes due to all these problems and I thought I would never be able to finish the game for a "new game+".
• The minigames’ lack of depth is disappointing. Fishing feels tedious, races offer little interaction, and the card game is too simplistic. The cooking game was notably broken before being fixed today. The beigoma game’s mechanics are monotonous, and the necessity to play out the third round regardless of the outcome is frustrating. Stealth mechanics and puzzles are underused but enjoyable, reminiscent of Zelda games, and could have been expanded upon. Still, like I said, I really enjoyed all the minigames, they simply could have been even better.
• The controversy surrounding Kickstarter backer rewards has overshadowed the game’s launch. While I’m not a backer, I’ve observed the situation and understand the frustration. However, the challenges of fulfilling rewards, especially those imported from Japan, are considerable. I commend the developers for their efforts to resolve issues and support their community. It’s a reminder that early access and crowdfunding come with inherent risks.
• I am not very agree to the decision to charge for character DLCs, which could have been included as more in deep secondary stories. The €25 season pass for DLCs seems steep, and I’m undecided on whether to invest further or wait for a potential discount. I would have been more satisfied with a price of €15.
