tl;dr: Punishing me from something I can't control (lag) is horrible. Not punishing toxic players is stupid. The game is making re evaluate whether to continue playing.
Yesterday, I played Mobile Legends like I did. I had my finals exams but you know how it is. I agree I'm not the best player in the game but did you just punish me for "Feeding"? Over the game, my ping was an average of 120ms when I'm the only one in my screen. Once someone else (especially an opponent) goes into view, it spikes up to 200-250ms of ping. How can you be useful at that ping level? The best you can do is deal a bit of damage but most of the time you'll be standing there waiting for an opponent to kill you.
Mobile Legends is fun. I love it. Aside from Minesweeper, it currently is the only game in my phone. I even spent money on it so I can buy some heroes. It is the one that introduced me to MOBA coming from RPG and FPS games. However, the past few games I had with them have made me reevaluate whether to continue playing it.
I am not against punishing people who AFK and feed. But punishing them from committing those behaviors because they have high ping is too much. Some people do try their best to be useful even in these scenarios but they still get punished from something out of their control.
Coming from the single-player world, if this is the culture of multiplayer games, it has to stop. Punish people for being bad players. Don't punish them from something they can't control.
What's worse is that toxic players in matches don't even get punished. They just get a "STRONG WARNING" as if that is going to help. You can bash everyone in the match - call them stupid or smurfs or other condescending terms you can think of. All the game gives you is a "STRONG WARNING".
Another thing that made me want to quit is their matchmaking. I don't know how they do it but it seems to be random. If my opinion makes a difference, they should let go of Classic mode altogether and simply make every person play Ranked matches.
Supercell does it this way and coming from some of their games, they do things so much better than Moonton. Sometimes, ping gets high but this is rare (only around 2-3 for every 30 games). Even then, you won't be punished - it just means the other player wins against you.
They also don't have a classic mode where you play with other people just for fun. You have to play with other people and rank up. Because they have really good servers, they don't need to worry about people AFK-ing a lot.
The game is really testing me. The only reason I'm playing is because my other friends play it as well. But really, as the days pass on I'm thinking of finally pulling the trigger and quitting altogether.

Let's say I wanna keep a phone long-term, like 4-5 years, if I from the start only charge it 60%, will it make a difference in battery degradation way down the line as opposed to charging it to 100% and letting it fall to 0%? If so how much? Is there any data on it. Is it even worth it?

I began talking to her back in November 2022. A common friend paired as up as we were both lonely people. She had just broken up 3 months ago. Things started to hit off, but initially it was slow for me. I used to reply her late, and not be very attentive in the beginning. Fast forward to 4th January 2023, we met for the first time. What we had on January was purely physical, but then as we spent more time together, we got to know each other. What we had was long distance, we live 480 kms apart. We met again on February and this time, things started to hit off really nice. The time when we were apart from each other, we used to call, text and communicate with each other a lot. During May, we stayed together for 11 days and that is when I saw the raw, unfiltered version of her. I saw what she was, in her day to day life, and I started to fall for her! This entire time from beginning, she used to pour a lot of efforts for me, shower me with gifts, food, compliments.
In August she faced something that hit her career hard, and she also had that pressure to get married from her family. She tried to break up with me as she was mentally exhausted with everything. However, I suggested if her family is pressurising her that much, then she should talk about us to her family. She agreed and asked if I was okay with marrying her. When I let her know that I will be happy to marry her, we didn't breakup. However, he family had backed from pressurising her and we did not have to go down that path. Fast forward to November, I was a few kilometres away from her home attending my brother's wedding. We met one day when it was a big festival in her city. She took the risk of meeting me and spending an entire day with me that day, even though she was at the risk of a number of her relatives seeing us. She didn't care, she wanted to spend that day with me. We again met few days after that and spent two days together. During the first day, I took her to a rooftop pub and she later said me that she had one of the best time of her life.

So I said I had deleted her number, which I had. Later I had collected my ex's number from a mutual friend just because I had found something that belonged to her, in my cupboard. I collected her number so that I can figure out a way to return that. So, me and my ex just had a transactional conversation about how I'd send it to her. That's it. After that I forgot to delete her number. P.S. I had saved my ex's number with the contact name "Red Flag"
Coming back to the main story, I was being very protective of my phone during those two days together because I was planning a surprise for her. She noticed that protectiveness towards my phone and asked me if I had actually deleted my ex's number. She took my phone to see if I had actually deleted my ex's number. She found the number and she was mad at me. She told me that I knew everything about her ex as she shared every detail with me, even when her ex used to message her and she used to ignore. She said "You lied to me about one of my most sensitive things, exes. I know you did not cheat but none the less you lied to me and hid from me that you talked to her". She also said me that she lost trust in me. That is the day I started to feel her drift away from me. After that she never again said me that she missed me. Before this incident she used to say a lot that she misses me, or she wished I was there with her.
She got a job on 15th March at a newly opened school and from 18th April students were supposed to join. From around 22nd of April, our communication went down from 2-3 hours a day to 20 to 30 mins a day. I figured it must be because of the new schedule of her life. This was her first job, I thought maybe she needs time to adjust. Even though she bought some of the best gifts on my birthday next week, she did not wish me at nigh. She wished me the next morning. I was a bit upset. Then I called her on 1st May as it is a holiday. I told her that I at least deserved a little update from her everyday. Even 5 mins of time per day would suffice. She said she'll try, but after that, from 3rd May she went No Contact with me. I tried to reach her out but she did not respond. 11th May I had a nightmare about her and I called her up. She disconnected and texted me "I am sorry, I cannot do this anymore. I thought about it a lot of times this week but I cannot do it anymore". My world turned upside down, I called her, she picked up and said that the new workplace, the toxic work culture, the immense pressure they are putting on freshers to the extent that they had no energy left when they returned home, the family pressure, everything stacked up high on her plate and this relationship is now becoming a baggage on her. She needs a break from everything. She said me that she is also hurting from this breakup but she is being calm about it because she does not want to make it messy. Later, I found out from my friend that since February, my girlfriend had started losing interest on me. She cannot fight for a love marriage with her family based on the strength pf emotions she had. She had emotions, but not strong enough to fight for it and convince her family. Throughout the relationship I have been a bit clingy and needy due to the baggages of abandonment issues from my past relationships. I also had certain insecurities due to which she could never open up much in front of me. She is a kind of person who likes to share everything with her partner. But whenever there used to be a conversation about some other man, who she found intellectually very interesting and enjoyed a conversation with, or maybe some man who was very well in making drinks and made her some of the best drinks, I used to get insecure and make silly fights. She also did not like to sleep while on call, and she hinted me sometimes indirectly, but I couldn't catch upon it. So an accumulation of all these little things made her lose interest in me.
Now me, who was not that interested in the beginning, had fallen head over heels for this girl. This breakup shattered me. Every bit of my existence just wants to vanish away right now. It is unexplainable how broken I feel. It hurts, thinking about her is killing me from inside. I loved listening to music but I can't anymore. Everything reminds me of her. I am clinging on to the hope that if I fix my abandonment issues and learn to give space and be the kind of man she wants, maybe someday she will regain her emotions for me. An official gme forums by gme for us apes. There, we could post memes, dd, and talk amongst ourselves without any fear of reddit or shf influence/ shut down.

 | this is my 2-nd mechanical keyboard and it's fantastic for me - probably because I have such a low bar due to being a total noob (beginner). the first one is a junk compared with this hi75. the specs are: - leobog hi75 keyboard bought from whatgeek (no afilliation with them, I was a bit skeptical with the 60USD paid with paypal, but it arrived well) - switches - Outemu-Peach V2 Silent Switches from aliexpress for 19.42USD- probably some clones, I have no idea (as mentioned I'm a noob) bought them after watching videos on the subject - keycaps - GMK Rome (most proabably clones) from aliexpress for 16.88USD - o-rings from aliexpress (125 pcs 9x4x2.5mm) for 1.10USD - not sure if they are required because the switches are dead silent (IMHO) unfortunately I can't make a sound test - I do not have the required tools, just a mobile phone which will not do justice to the keyboard sound. all in all, I'm quite happy, it's gonna take a bit of time to train the muscle memory for this layout - at 56 yo and coming from mainly full size keyboards, just found out about them mechanical keyboard virus recently. apologize for my English, not a native of it. have a nice day all. submitted by omkaty to BudgetKeebs [link] [comments] |

My boy's going to be okay! Pic for dog tax
15 months ago, he (3) got a soft lump on the outside of his foot. It's now been seen by 3 vets and imaged twice and they all said it's nothing and doesn't hurt him. I keep going back because when he gets up after rest, that leg looks sore.
Later that year, he refused to jump in the car and wouldn't eat. Diagnosis was back pain, and we took 6 weeks of just walking.
This spring I took him back and said "something isn't right." Diagnosis was again back pain. Hrmmm.. We did another 6 weeks off exercise.
I kept wondering if I was imagining it, but something STILL wasn't right in spite of the tedious amount of rest and slow walking. He's only just turned 3 -- that's a lot of time to be off in pain. I started worrying about ACLs and joint longevity and it was ruining the fun in every activity we tried to do.
I found a clinic that does doggy physio and offers a gait and stance analysis. First they had him stand on a pad that measured the weight going to each foot. It was SO OBVIOUS -- hardly anything going to a back foot, little less on the opposite front. Sure, he stands and sits "like a heeler" all wonky, but with their guidance I was able to actually SEE what's bothering him.
The vet sat on a mat and gently manipulated all of his joints, measured the muscle mass, and the angles they reached. It was very cool to watch!
Diagnosis is that a number of his joints are hyper-mobile (fairly common in working breeds), which means he can do extra cool athletic things (yup, that's for sure!) but also leaves him more prone to injury. His groin on one side is pulled from jumping-type movements. His psoas muscle (runs from scapula to pelvis) is sore and he's walking a little hunch-backed. Those two are probably connected. After an adjustment he actually stretched and looked relieved.
The foot -- the lump is actually not sore, but two toes over is quite sore. We're waiting on another image of the foot, but the tiny sesamoid bones are the likely culprit, which are often injured in active, working-type dogs.
Prognosis is daily stretching, massage, and physio. Then we'll get a programme in place for strength so his hypermobile joints can actually support themselves. I have a list of can and can not activities and now I understand exactly why.
It's been a bit of a pricey journey but something I had to sort out for his longevity. That was a transformative three hours sitting on that mat, and I am just SO RELIEVED to have answers and solutions.
Moral of the story: when in doubt, get a better second or even third opinion.

The plastic cover was located by evidence search teams in the dryer, inside of the sheets belonging to REDACTED bed." (At some point we had confirmation of a to-do list Suzanne left including MM1s bedding in hopes that the older girls would spend the night. Cannot remember the source.)

The Facebook algorithms correctly deduced that I’m a small biz startup entrepreneur & showed me ads for a company that offers 2nd phone numbers (VOIP) for small businesses.
They have a promo that (supposedly) ends after today. $100 (one time fee) for “lifetime access.” They advertise that the usual fee is $18/mo. I don’t want to go into a lot of detail on their offering & services — this isn’t meant to be an advertisement of any kind. But it’s a killer deal if it’s legit. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with them, and can offer insight as to whether they’re worth the risk.
They’ve apparently been in business for 2-3 years, but their online footprint is so small that I can’t get a good sense of how much of a risk they are. Most info I’ve found from actual users is 1-3 yrs old. Their app has very few reviews, and most are old. But they seem to have been consistently updating it (averaging about 1 new release per month). If they’re legit, my guess is that maybe they finally feel like they’ve worked out enough bugs that it’s worthwhile to pour money into marketing (?).

Hey guys so I’m a bit confused about my relationship. Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 4 years and it was pretty toxic. For the most part , I would argue about the way that he would act when I break up with him. Let’s say we argue and I say “I’m done” for like two days, he would go text a girl which is too quick and weird instead of fixing things. Then when I would ask he would say “it was out of anger”. So basically , one day I decided to break up with him because it just felt like I was the one always complaining and nagging. I called him at 3 am, I broke up with him and he said “wow broke up over the phone…tuff”. Then throughout the days he decided to stalk my page and he asked me randomly if I cheated on him in the relationship???? Like why would you ask me this after I break up and then he was like “okay I guess this is forreal now”. So the last day of the break up I called him and said we can get back together now and he said “no I want to talk to other people , I didn’t care that you left, I don’t love you anymore, other girls are attractive”. He said I broke up with him so he asked for a girls number. . REMEMBER, I told you guys we used to argue about how everytime I would break up he would bring in another girl and say “anger”. Guys I was with him for 3 years how did all of that happened because I broke up with him for 7 days😂. He said “we were so toxic so I thought about something new” “I don’t know what I want”then why were you asking me dumb questions on the break instead of leaving me alone. Now we got back together and when I ask why he said those things he just says “out of anger” and asked for someone’s number “out of anger trying to move on”. 7 day break. 3 years.Immature or no?

I am a 21 year old student who was in a 3 year relationship that ended abruptly two days ago.
Our relationship began in highschool and got off to a rocky start when everyone around me started gossiping about her cheating on her ex. I grew up in a household with a single mom who had been cheated on every single relationship. So I was deathly afraid of this happening to me. After months we came up with this agreement that we’d update eachother on snapchat whenever we were apart. And because we missed eachother we would also call at night when we slept.
After all those years this turned into what I think was my crutch to keep my fears away. The snapchats turned away from occasional talking to full day surveillance. The calling turned into a necessity. Whenever I saw something that set alight my paranoia I got extremely combative. For example if she hadnt sent a snap in an hour from the other, i would become afraid and fully believe that there was something going on. This then turned into me saying things like “if you treat me like this I wont be able to continue our relationship”. I now look at this and see that it is a threat of me leaving unless she did what i said. I saw it as me enforcing my boundaries and it seemed normal.
She also expected calls from me and would also get upset if I didnt update well, so I thought that this was just how we did things, every relationship had something weird or unhealthy they had to work on in my eyes. And i sought therapy in those two years but had extreme difficulties in finding a psychologist. So these issues remained.
A couple of days ago, while she had a hard week with college, she broke down about everything to a friends mom. Who then informed her parents. While we were discussing the distribution of chores around our appartement, we were living together for 2 years now, her parents stormed in and scolded me for being a controlling manipulator. The dad got very verbal and the mother said something akin to “i dont know how i havent seen that my daughter was so unhappy here”. It blew me away, i never thought she was unhappy as we were having fun just the evening beforehand.
Now they keep her away from me and are blocking my number, telling her that my controlling behaviour outweighed any of the good i did. Like helping her out of cutting herself and abusing alcohol. They check her phone to see if she doesnt message me.
After they left I looked up if I was an abuser, and i can certainly see that i did things on the lists being unaware of what I was doing. I called helplines and spoke to as many people i could to help me and figured that i needed instant care. I will now have a team of psychiatrists and psychologists visit 3 times a week and will be admitted to a facility sometime in the future.
I do not want to be an abuser, and she wants to stay in contact but work on ourselves separately, i agree and i want to be better for myself. But i dont feel okay with them keeping her locked down like this.
Am I a lost cause? Did I lose the best person in my life?

2024.05.16 14:58 dellboy696 Huawei P20 lite I've had since 2019. All of a sudden, when I make a call, the screen goes black, and I cannot type on the number pad further nor hang up. Software/phone/sim card issue? Anyone got a fix? "Phone" app fucked?
What usually happens after I make a call is the screen switches to the 'calling' screen with a hang up button, loudspeaker button etc. Now the screen either doesn't change, or turns black. I can change the screen myself and use other apps fine by pressing the circle button on the bottom (even if the screen is black, the circle it is still there and responsive, just invisible), but that 'calling' screen never appears, even though the phone is ringing and I can speak to the person on the other side fine.
As a partial workaround I've set it so that pressing the power button allows me to hang up. Still annoying though. Anyone had something like this? Hoping it's just a software issue that can be fixed easily, as opposed to having to buy a new phone.
