I've tried 10 of ghosts flavors and it has quickly become my favorite energy drink. It's my go-to and actually does good in the energy formula for me personally. Not too crazy from other lists I've found, but figured I'd share anyways...
10 - Sour Apple
Can't really remember why I hated this one so much, I just remember thinking it was just unenjoyable all the way through and was a struggle to finish for me personally
9 - Strawbubblicious
Tasted exactly how I assumed it would taste, like strawberry gum. It wasn't unpleasant, actually quite interesting, but I found myself getting sick of the flavor of liquid gum half way through the can
8 - Cherry Limeade
Currently sipping my first go at one of these right now. I'm not a big cherry guy. It's constant, but it's also just really boring in my opinion in comparison to the other flavors.
7 - Sour Pink Lemonade
Was really disappointed with this one. The Lemonade was missing more of a Sour kick in my opinion and kinda lacked in the flavor department, otherwise decent rare pickup.
6 - Tropical Mango
It's a good Mango flavor, I'm just bored of Mango.
5 - Sour Watermelon
This has been my go to flavor for a while. It's the best Watermelon flavor, the Sour is on point. The only reason I don't have it higher is because....I actually don't have a good reason...
4 - Swedish Fish
My first ever ghost energy drink. Tastes exactly like them, and I personally believe you'll only like this flavor if you like the real thing. I don't pick this one up enough, it's become a rarity, but is always a treat
3 - SP Red
Consistently good. Great sour. Great carbonation. Just a consistently good all around flavor
2 - SP Blue
Always been a huge fan of blue raspberry and ghost knocks it out the park with this one. One of my favorites to pick up
1 - Strawbango Margarita
Time and time again I see this flavor on the top spot or at least in the top 5. There is a reason, it's super consistent and just a great pick me up that never fails to disappoint. Will say, it does seem to have a kick start, where the first few sips aren't great, but after that it's a perfect blend of flavors.

But mainly the fact you don’t have a combo add on available. The burger price around 10 dollars would be ok…if I could add a fry and drink for 3-4 dollars. Instead that add on of even a small fry and drinks is 7-8 dollars, and closer to ten fora regular.
Honestly, this might be one of the only burger places I know that does this.
Also, the inconsistency with the fries. If I’m paying five dollars for a little fry or more, the bag better have fries in it beyond the cup. I’ve gone twice in the last year and one time it was full and the other time I counted 10 extra fries in the bag and had like 20-25 fries total…which again for 5.50 is a ton.
Finally, it gets lost that there are a lot of local places that have good burgers, are sit down, and you can honestly get out cheaper even with tip than five guys. Hell, even chili’s with their 3 for 10.99, while having frozen fries, has a really good burger and comes with a drink and appetizer.

I work in the restaurant industry as a cook. It’s a very expensive place, $250 A-5, $50 fish, really high quality sushi. Quickly you could be in the $400/per person range eating there. We are short staffed, unable to hire quality people that speak English, have basic cooking skills, etc. And of course we are all underpaid. My question is why do I walk in to Trader Joe’s and see 3x the staff as my place. The quality of staff is that of which that I would expect to see in an office building. Not to sound rude but, non minority, 30-60 years old. It seems like they match the socio-economic status of the area. They’re also so friendly and helpful and seem genuinely happy. Like, I live in one of the most expensive places on earth, how is someone working as a cashier at Trader Joe’s and seemingly doing great? I can go into any other store and it’s an understaffed,poorly trained operation where no one gives af and you’re lucky if the cashier speaks fluent English or is old enough to drink alcohol or cares to be there.

Hi Ladies! sorry for the long post- FTM, I need some advice about my pumping situation. I've been exclusively pumping since my daughter was born in Dec. She's almost 5 months old now. I was pumping every 3hrs the first 4 months and just recently I've been pumping every 5-7 hrs. I stopped feeling so engorged and forget i've even gone so long, when before I could hardly stand going past 3hr. My supply has dropped (obviously since i'm pumping less) and that's scaring me. I have been an overproducer since the beginning and have around bagged and store frozen about 1700oz. When can I stop pumping? I want to stop so bad so I can start working part time and stop being tethered to the pump.. but I don't know if I should just rely on my stash? I don't know how much milk she'll drink after she starts solids. Is anyone's similar or does anyone have any advice? When did you stop? TIA!

Oh man, let me get into this one. Yall should sit back get a drink and a snack this is going to be fun.
So back in 2010 on a mighty little FFG we were on our 3rd Med Cruise in the last 2 years and our female XO just kinda went off the deep end.
We were in Oman during Ramadan so that means no drinking out in town, so 3 days of beer on the pier. On the first night the XO got blitzed by like 7pm and she got in the mood if you know what I mean. By 9pm she had sexually assaulted 3 of our more fit junior Sailors. The tamest was just ass grabbing and the worst was full on down the shirt into the shorts grabbing. (STG2 later was crying in his rack saying it was like his grandma molesting him). XO was in her 50s at that time as she was a prior enlisted. That is till the CO wakes them up the next morning. Both of them get 30 days restriction to the ship. XO also gets the start of an NCIS investigation at this time as well. (Remember that video that got sent back stateside well that thing turned to fire and spread faster than dry trees going up in Cali. It all accumulated during an FRG meeting when the 3MCs wife finally learned what happened. Let just say 3MC spent the next 5 years on a ship cause he was beyond broke after she was done with him.)

JORG comes back onboard about 9 pm sobbing about how he can't find the XO and the CO is going to kill him. When some guys come back onboard and ask the OOD why the XO was on a German Oiler? So the CDO, MA1, and the JORG head up the pier to the Oiler to retrieve the XO. They get on the Oiler and head to the O-mess where the XO is yet again smashed. CDO tries to get her up and drag her out when she loses her shit, cussed them out, and told them to get the fuck off she is the XO and she is staying the night on the Oiler. She STAYED THE NIGHT.
NCIS meets her the next morning on the ship, and they are done with her shit. She is confined to the ship again and is going to be escorted off the ship by them tomorrow morning straight to the airport and back stateside. I get off the OOD watch at 0400 and head up to the shop on the 02 level leaving the door open so I can get cell service. So at 0500 here comes NCIS pass the door and bang on the XOs door. They try to open it and she has it locked from the other side. She is yelling at them that she just got out of the shower and she isn't quite ready yet and to give her 30 min. NCIS is yelling back to get out now. They leave to go smoke about 20 min they come back start banging on the door and the XO still won't open the door. Now NCIS is screaming at her that if she doesn't get the door open now they will cut it off the hinges. A bit after 0600 here comes HT1 walking past the shop door with a shit eating grin on his face and tells me this is about to be the best day of his life. Gets to the XOs door plugs in the torch, puts his gear on and proceeds to cut the hinges off the door. With a pull and a crash there goes the door. What was susposed to have been a quiet walk off is now gone and NCIS is now pulling and dragging a kicking XO off the ship as she is screaming she is the XO and she isn't leaving.
Icing on the cake they missed their flight. Anyways she got back stateside and got forced retired out.

So back in 2010 on a mighty little FFG we were on our 3rd Med Cruise in the last 2 years and our female XO just kinda went off the deep end.
We were in Oman during Ramadan so that means no drinking out in town, so 3 days of beer on the pier. On the first night the XO got blitzed by like 7pm and she got in the mood if you know what I mean. By 9pm she had sexually assaulted 3 of our more fit junior Sailors. The tamest was just ass grabbing and the worst was full on down the shirt into the shorts grabbing. (STG2 later was crying in his rack saying it was like his grandma molesting him). XO was in her 50s at that time as she was a prior enlisted. I (M33) recently had an ex (M38) from a year ago message me saying he wanted to get closure from how things ended, which should be it's own post; but I'll sum it up.
I invited him on a cruise with a friend group. Friend group decided to go to a LGBT mixer. During the mixer, I talked to two separate groups by myself. He became upset when I talked to a guy within the second group and said I was flirting with him. I was led away from the group and followed him to our room.
I apologized for not including him in the conversation, but he became verbally aggressive. Saying I made him look stupid in front of the group and that no other n**** was talking like I was if they were coupled. I then said why are you acting jealous, and to that he said why would I be jealous of you and other stuff. At that point, I leave and go to get a free massage sampler to hope things calm down.
It doesn't, and he texts that I need to talk to him now or my shit is going to be packed up and left outside of the room, I'm a piece of shit, I'm going to guest services. I just ignore them, and I show the texts to a member of the group who was also at the free massage event.
While showing the text messages, the ex comes out of nowhere and cusses at me again and says he's going to guest services and I just say ok, whatever. I go to the room and I see he has his things packed up. About 20 minutes pass and security is at my door reprimanding me and saying we can't have altercations like this. We're gonna revoke both of you all's drinking privileges. And they asked me multiple times if I would vacate the room and sleep in a friend's room since I knew a few of them longer.
I said no, especially since he still $400+ for the trip, and security let him know that he couldn't be moved since the cruise was sold out. They also said that going forward we should just act as though we're in separate trips and not speak with each other.
Security leaves and immediately he is asking to talk it out. In my petty bag, I kept saying you heard what they said. We're not allowed to talk to each other; but I do mention that I'm going to text a member of the group to see if they're fine with him staying in their room since they were become fast buddies. Again, definitely in my petty bag.
He then grabs my phone and makes threats that he'll make false accusations to security if I don't talk to him. Security warned us we would be locked up if they had reports of yelling/fighting and he wanted to intimidate me into speaking with him when I wasn't in the mood after being scolded/chastised.
After getting my phone back, I leave the room. Clear my mind and head back to the room after a few hours. I say I'll talk if he clears it up with security. He tells me that he's already made the decision to leave the ship and his ex bought his ticket to go back to the states from Puerto Rico. He also stated that he would be moving out of town to live with his mother.
After that, we have two more encounters stateside. He had left his keys in my car at the port and told me just to throw them in the trash. Instead of doing that, I sent him an email a week after getting home. I apologized again and told him I would leave his keys with the property management team. But I wanted to see if he actually moved, so I knocked on his door a few times. He then comes out and says this isn't appropriate and he'll call the cops if I come again.
I still do like a dumb ass. I want a response from him, I want a chance for reconciliation and if not at least closure. And yes, at this point I've been blocked on social media and through phones. So I leave a lilac, a favorite movie of his, and another apology note. Still no contact from him.
So I just decide a few weeks later I'm going to stay on his doorstep until he talks to me or calls the cops. The latter happens and I tell them I not there to cause any harm. I just want to speak. The cop just lets me know my ex wants nothing to do with me and I can be charged if I come back on the apartment grounds.
So I leave and that's our last interaction until the day after my bday. Sorry I went long winded, but I wanted to provide context on the break up. I've attached the convo we had earlier.

I grew up in a small rural ski town where I was one of the poorest kids in my elementary school. My mom had just moved my brother and me away from my dad and we were struggling, we lived in motels for a bit and crashed at some of her friends' houses before moving into a cheap basement suit with two bedrooms, my brother got his own while I shared a room with my mom. There was only one twin-sized bed so she would usually sleep on our armchair in the living room so I could have the bed. She worked two jobs at a grocery and convenience store while putting herself through night school in the town over. We didn't have much money for food so my school lunches were always one item, usually some form of squash or a Ziploc of lentils. Being in a mountain town in Canada you can imagine how cold it was in the winter; we didn't have a car so my brother and I had to walk to school in freezing temperatures, by the time we got there I was in tears with a red nose and my hair frozen solid. It took a while for things to get better but they did when my mom got her nursing license and picked up a stable job, eventually, we moved up to middle class and the moment I was old enough to work I wouldn't stop. I saved almost everything I made from the age of thirteen. My brother joined the military and I focused on school and sports so I could get into college which I'm glad to say I successfully did. I moved to the city for school and everything was so different, all of the friends I made came from ridiculously rich families and went out almost every night since they had the money to spend on drinks and clubs. I'm in engineering while the majority of my friends are in some form of the arts, we got along because I'm a bookworm. I was speaking with one of them who I'll call Shannon, she's in screenwriting and cinematography in the hopes of becoming a director. She mentioned to me that she wants to make her student film centred around poverty and the working class to shine a light on it. During this discussion, The Florida Project (a great movie) was brought up, I told her that I related heavily to that movie and she kind of huffed a laugh and then said "What? Did you live in a motel or something?" To which I answered "Yes," With a straight face. I could tell that Shannon felt bad since she clearly didn't know how I was brought up since it isn't something I tend to slip into casual conversation. Shannon asked more questions about my childhood and what it was like to live in poverty, we left the topic alone after that day but two weeks later she came to me with her screenplay and asked me to read it. I was appalled to say the very least. She had taken my very personal stories and turned them into an extra shitty episode of Euphoria. Everything I had told her had been put into her script but not as I told them, the main character went through these things and was unphased by everything that happened, disappointed in her mother for not doing enough and fighting with her evil drug addict brother. I wanted to cry, specifically at the depiction she had turned my family into, my hard-working and loving mother was written off to just be a slacker when in reality she was doing absolutely everything she could to give both me and my brother a good life and then my straight edge military brother was turned into the scum of the earth. The depiction of my poverty she wrote had me sick to my stomach, the main character was a sex addict, the mother was an alcoholic, and the brother had a drug addiction as well as abused the main character. I told her that not every person living in poverty was poor because of an addiction or crutch and sometimes it was just an unfortunate circumstance, in our case, it was fleeing from my abusive dad and trying to get on our feet. It also irked me how she had written it to be completely tragic and sad but I was a child for most of it and didn't realize how bad it was; when the power would go out it would be a fun game of lights out for me and my brother, we didn't understand why my mom was so stressed out when we had to stay in hotels, all we knew was that we got to share a bunk bed and go swimming in the indoor pool. I wanted her to understand that we were still regular people when we were impoverished, we were just that, regular people who didn't have much. Shannon seemed embarrassed that I was so upset about what she wrote, it took me fifteen minutes to read the entire thing and we sat in complete silence as I did so, when I reached the last page I was crying. At first, she thought I was crying because I was so moved by her glamourization of addiction and poverty before I told her that I hated it. That was when Shannon began to cry. I had shut down her screenplay as soon as I finished it and I asked why she was crying. She moved on to say "It's loosely based on what you told me, it isn't meant to be you and your family." I wanted to laugh when she said this, even the name of the main character rhymed with mine, she kept the tragic events and cut out the good memories as well as the good nature of my mom and brother, I was livid. I want to tell you about one scene that made me want to strangle her: The family's power went out on the main character's birthday so they lit tea candles to see in the dark, the mother lit a cigarette with one of the candles before calling her daughter a slut and putting it out in her birthday cake- what happened in real life was the power had gone out on my birthday, my mom worked all day and came home with a discounted pride cake since my birthday is in June. My brother and I had lit the tea candles long before my mom came home, she smeared the 'Happy Pride!' text on the cake replaced 'pride' with 'birthday' using Nesquik then used the tea candles to light the candles for my cake. This was the first time I had ever gotten a birthday cake, I was eleven and it's one of my happiest memories to date. I'm realizing this is too long so I'll finish it off, she's proceeding with the student film despite me asking her not to and offering different plots to follow instead. Shannon had blocked my number and I haven't heard from her in a week aside from awkwardly seeing her around campus to which she looks the other direction and ignores me.

I am unsure how to define what I am feeling so I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. This is also a way for me to try to put my thoughts into words because I don’t know how to ask for help because I don’t know what is going on with me. For 3 months, I find that the only things I eat during the day is chocolate bars, energy drinks, pop, or fast food. It's 11:30pm and all I've had is coffee, an energy drink, a chocolate chip muffin, cookies, and a KitKat. I was working 15 hr days for the last 3 months so I didn't prioritize my health whatsoever. I have been back to a regular schedule for 2 weeks but have not changed any of my eating habits. Sometimes I'll eat dinner, but it's usually frozen food or fast food. I've had depressed days were I have ate like this before, but it's never been more than a couple days.
When I have gotten very depressed and anxious, my thoughts tend to be that I'm anxious and scared to get out of bed and even the idea of it makes me sick to my stomach. Day 5 San Ignacio -> Placencia
- Mayawalk Tours shuttle to Wild Orchid in Placencia. We rented a “studio with ocean view” When we walked in with the host for him to show us around there was a little kitchenette that was fully loaded with all we needed, table and a small futon…. Luckily their definition of studio is different from ours and there was also a large bedroom with a king size bed. Cute, clean little place, with AC. Beach a minute walk from our door. They provide bikes, SUP, kayaks etc all with your reservation. There were a couple other apartments in the building and houses around us but it was lovely and secluded, being far from town, we were basically the only people on the beach. We did have upstairs neighbors one night and you could hear some walking around etc, but not bad. We were there on the off season, so it may be more crowded other times of the year. There was a picnic table outside our apartment, but that isn’t comfortable for long term relaxation to sit outside. We drug a couple of the chairs by the water up to our room so we could have a place to hang out outside, but not at the water.
- Apartment was about 3.5 miles from town, there was only one restaurant that was open and within walking distance. Grabbed a couple of the bikes and headed into town for dinner. This is when we realized 3.5 miles each way on beach cruisers would be a longer ride than originally thought. Made it about 1.5 miles to Turtle Inn and ended up having a great pizza and drinks at their beach bar and restaurant.
- Called around for a golf cart rental, ended up using Barefoot Services for a full day rental. Their office was walking distance and we received a nice clean cart.
- Spent the afternoon downtown. Parked the cart, and walked around drinking & snacking at a few different restaurants & bars. Public beach was nice there.
- Stopped by the grocery store and grabbed food, snacks & drinks for the next couple of days.
- Dropped off the cart and walked to Hobbs Brew Barge for some beers and dinner. Walked back to the apartment.
- Dove the Silk Cayes with Go Sea Tours. They have a great operation, lunch was served on an island between dives and rum punch poured on the boat ride back. Loved Benji the DM. I would recommend and dive with them again.
- Beach & relaxation day at the apartment
- Took a taxi downtown, ate at Omars, rumor is they have the best conch fritters in the area. Spent a couple hours walking around, getting drinks at different places. Taxi home.
- Had a 2pm flight from Placencia -> BZE -> San Pedro. Flight left at 2pm. Having no idea, we got to the airport at 1pm and were very early. Tropic Air had a nice waiting room, fast Wifi, cold AC. We were the only 2 passengers on this flight.
- When we landed at Belize City, Tropic Air was able to get us on an earlier flight than booked, so our layover was the time it took to get off the plane, check in for next flight, go through security and make it to the gate. About 10 minutes. They also contacted the company we were renting our golf cart through on San Pedro and let them know that we would be landing earlier than planned.

Local credit union] through Nov of last year to now. We had a kitchen renovation done in my home due to moderate water damage accumulating, unbeknownst to us, under the dishwasher which had then spread into the original wood. Due to said renovation I and my family could not cook or prepare any meals and had no means of safe drinking water.
Context: Renovation began in November and ended in March. I had to step up to the plate despite not being in the most abundant of financial situations. I am a College student and a part-time bartender. I'm the only means of reliable and flexible transportation for my family. From empty to full is usually 67/USD. I only net annually about 21-25k. I only get paid monthly and live with my Grandma [I love her to bits and want to help care for her. Plus my home is close to my college] and my sister
Back to the story: So to ensure, that my grandma and Sister were fed we bought a lot of takeout, ate out frequently, and bought a lot of frozen meals and bottled water. My Grandma [F/63] is retired and can only help so much and my....lovely .... sister [F/24] works mostly full-time and is in larger debt than I, doesn't want to help pay for anything. I foolishly started paying for everything and didn't ask for any help as...you know. man providing for family mentality. I also, frequently, pay for gas myself despite transporting my sister and my mother [she lives about 10mins from me and doesn't drive] to work.
So after paying for food for 5 months straight [2-3 meals/day] and filling my gas up at least 2-4x/week, it added up faster than anticipated. I have been paying off minimum by minimum and can't catch up. I did what I did because I care. Yeah, I should have asked for help and said something. I thought I could do it but quickly realized I could have even with help. Just not on my own right now. I'm not sure where to start.

First I want to note, I have 20 years of experience working as a line cook, Server and/or manager in several different restaurants of differing styles. From A&W to Ghost kitchens, food trucks and several higher end places. I definitely don't know everything, But I know a lot and have seen pricing and product from nearly all levels of the industry.
I've seen a lot of people complaining about the prices of Five guys, how expensive it's gotten compared to other Similar restaurants. one comparison I've seen thrown around a lot is comparing the cost of a meal at five guys to the cost of a meal at McDonalds. After all, Five guys is a fast food chain, of course you would compare it to other fast food chains. And therein lies the problem. Five guys Is a fast food chain, but what they sell, is Barely fast food.
If I get a meal at McDonalds it runs me ~12-15 bucks depending on what I get. For that, I will get a cup of soda, A relatively bland generic Burger made with frozen patties, extremely basic toppings and an order of fries that are... Frankly lower quality than most of what you can buy in the frozen foods section of a Walmart.
If I go to Boston pizza, A fairly well known sports bar and grill, full Dine in experience I will pay 25+ dollars for a burger with fries and a drink, plus tip. The patties? Are still frozen, and honestly nothing special, The fries? About on par with a Bag of McCain fries. You know, the 'nice' store bought fries. The toppings? Slightly more variety and interesting choices but again, all of it comes in a bag frozen or pre-cooked. I know this, I worked at one for 6 years. The only thing they actually make in house there is the Pizza Dough.
I can also tell you that most other restaurants fall into one of those two categories. If it's a chain, the product is frozen, and generic, heck most of the restaurants in your area likely all use the same fries from the same supplier. Almost every restaurant in my city gets their food from GFS and I have seen the same identical cases of fries at at least 3 locations. The singular exception I can think of off hand being perhaps Wendys and Their food is still pretty generic and comes pre-made, Just fresher. Those Square patties? Are factory formed for efficiencies sake. and I can guarantee you that they pre-cook them and hold them in a food warmer.
Enter Five guys. Fresh meat, Hand formed patties made in house daily Cooked on the grill to order, you can watch them do it. Fresh locally bought potatoes Hand cut in house every morning. Cooked in a more expensive peanut oil For better flavor as opposed to the generic Canola oil most restaurants use. The topping list? not only is there no upcharge for any of them (My local McDonalds charges 30 cents for extra Lettuce) They include Grilled mushrooms and onions, Again, cooked in house, Jalapenos, green peppers And several sauce options you won't find in most fast food places. and the portions both of the fries and the burgers are frankly huge compared to most places of any caliber.
The issue is that while Five guys is a fast food place and is branded as a Fast food place, they don't really sell fast food. They sell A product that is higher quality than most family sit down restaurants and even fancier places. What they sell is the closest thing you can get to a Gourmet burger and fries, and they just provide it in a fast food setting. The problem isn't that they are charging too much for what they sell, Their pricing is actually lower than a lot of places that have much lower or similar quality products, like the keg where just the burger with fries and bacon is 25 bucks before the drink and tip and tax. (for the record I'm not claiming The Keg is low quality just that their burger specifically is nothing particularly special for how much it costs.) The issue is that people are comparing Five guys to McDonalds only on the basis of it being a fast food joint but When accounting for quality Mcdonalds isn't even playing the same sport let alone in the same league. I feel like I need to just vent and let everything out, so here goes. This is gonna be long and a lot of yapping, I’m a mess while writing this. This doesn’t even contain everything that has happened.
I matched on Tinder with a cute guy in 2014 and we both made clear that we didn’t want anything else than friendship. But in a month, we were falling for each other. Early 2015, he told me he loves me, but he acknowledged my fear of love so I wouldn’t have to say it back. I kinda freaked out and dipped out, but we kept texting every month, especially when drunk, we told each other how much we like each other.
2016 we became official after playing around. It was heaven on earth for me then and I loved the man with my whole heart. I went out of my way for him. He was my first everything.
Few months into our relationship, we were at a festival with another couple who were our friends, and we 4 slept in a campervan. He wanted to have sex, I didn’t and I told him no few times. He ended up rubbing himself between my thighs while I laid there frozen and hurt. I pushed the whole thing away from my mind. Another 6 months in, we were drinking in his hometown with his friends. He got too drunk and ended up grabbing me from my collar and pushing me aggressively against a wall and yelled at me. He ran away and I was alone in his hometown while he didn’t answer. Well I found him and we went to his mother’s house to sleep, where he cried to me that I shouldn’t be with him that he’s a bad man. Another year in, one of his best friends hated me and trash talked me to their friend group and it was literally hell on earth, and he just let it happen, without setting things straight or defending me. And at the same time, we listened to one podcast where a couple had downloaded their tinders back and watched their old matches and convos to laugh at them lightheartedly. Well, we did just that but what I found out was that he had had tinder while we were officially together and talked to other women. He ended up deleting everything before he could show me them and saying it wasn’t him, that his single friends used his phone and pictures for tinder, but I could tell that it was him from the messages I had time to see.
The last 4 years have been sexless, and I have suffered with that a lot. There’s no kisses, no holding hands, no I love you’s, nothing. We have basically been friends for the last 4 years except when he’s drunk and wants to rub his D against me and cum.
Well now, we broke up a month ago, after being 8 years officially together and a decade of us being engaged with one another. Everything we own shared, our car, cats, furniture, EVERYTHING.
I’m just so broken, sad, finished and tired. I love him, but I don’t, I hate him, but I don’t. I have fought for this relationship for years alone, and it ended up breaking me. Hi and welcome to my post! Wanted to start off with a funny to me dad joke.
Nice to meet you, I'm Dylan! To put it simple, I am a single 22 year old man who has been pretty lonely in life and lacking in female connection and interaction. And part of what comes with that is the desire to be intimate with a person. I am very mature for my age and will always be respectful of your boundaries and feelings, especially with anything sexual. Lately all I have is myself when it comes to sexual desires, so I would like to have someone to keep company with in that regard too.
I'm just relaxing at work since there's nothing really going on and thinking about going home tonight and burning a woodwick candle. Perfect for when there's a storm outside. I love candles! 🕯️ Sometimes a campfire outside on a fall night or a crackling WoodWick candle is a relaxing constant among our busy and hectic world. It's nice to just disconnect, feel grounded and happy in your own little cozy space. Feeling calm and collected and at peace. Something that fewer people take the time to do these days.
I am seeking a woman around my age or older to build a close connection with that could possibly lead to a relationship and something intimate which includes the possibility of teasing/sharing pics etc. but only when we were comfortable. I've been feeling a little bummed out lately. I always try and stay happy and see the best in things. But.. I've just been so alone. Most of my whole childhood and adult years have been spent feeling lonely. I grew up surrounded by cornfields which was peaceful but also has a lonely aspect to it. My family never really were close and never did anything as a family really. And part of it too is the fact that I never had any neighbors my age to interact with. But aside from that, my adult life has been very lonely. I'm just always by myself. I barely have any meaningful adult relationships or experiences, or even any friends.
I work a 3-11 job in building maintenance at my company world headquarters building which I love, but again it's very lonely. I work the off shift so the building is always empty. I don't get normal social interaction with people my age or a chance to build relationships. I only have 3 older men as co-workers and we are mostly in the basement away from any people on the floors from knowing our existence. I always walk the floors and see office people laughing and chatting with their coworkers and I just don't have that kind of experience. And just.. no one knows I exist really. Everyone probably assumes I have a lot of friends, but I'm struggling inside with being so alone and trying to meet people and get past the "hi how are you?" "I'm good thanks" stage. Most people don't seem to want to talk beyond that. And most women are already in relationships and thus it would seem weird to approach them in an office setting trying to get to know them deeper. But man those "hi how are yous" are the only real interactions I get during my day.. so thus I decided to come here lol. Rant over, sorry! I promise I'm not a downer. 😅
Now for some things about me!
As you can tell, I am very mature for my age and am polite and have good grammar which unfortunately not everyone my age does anymore lol. I am not active at all on social media/internet culture really and don't know much about all the slang the younger people these days use. I feel like I'm 50. 🤣
I am left handed which is pretty cool. I'm not much of a party person or a drinker, I much prefer a quiet night at home and maybe a beer or two on a weekend but that's about it. I am simple and stay out of drama and trouble and don't get much into politics or other things that cause drama with people. I much prefer a relaxing campfire and a night at home and to just let the world keep on turning haha. I consider myself pretty intelligent and mature, especially for my age which is why I'm open to older ladies.
Physically I'm 180 pounds, have brown hair, green eyes, and a typical build. There's a few pictures on my profile.
Some of my hobbies are:
• Photography
I have a Nikon D200 and D5500 that I love to shoot with. I love nature scenes, abstract, black and white/goth kinda photography, sunsets, etc. it's so fun to just let your mind explore. It's not about what camera you have, but those who are behind the camera! I'm gonna try and photograph the northern lights tonight!
• Cooking and baking
I loveeee to cook and bake! I enjoy making various meals but also love to just have a frozen pizza once in awhile or something like that. I recently made homemade chili which turned out great. I love to bake, especially in the fall! I love pies, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc. I restored a vintage KitchenAid mixer that needed tbe gearbox rebuilt. Eventually I would love to practice home canning my own food.
• Music
Oh my gosh, I like so much!! Alternative rock, punk, post punk, electronic, synth pop, psychedelic rock, hard rock, etc. I am very non judgemental and open when it comes to music. My three current favorite bands are Type O Negative, Joy Division, and the Cure.
• Nature walks and camping
I really enjoy camping, making fires, and relaxing by a campfire. I love to take walks outside and just enjoy the beauty and simplicity of nature. It's wonderful, especially in a world so focused on everything digital.
• Repairing things
I'm a maintenance guy and one of my hobbies is electronics repair so I am good with my hands and just all around good at troubleshooting and fixing all sorts of things around the house. Last week I helped my elderly neighbor get his tractor started, it needed a new component in the starting circuit. So I'm pretty handy which... Comes in handy! 😂
• Autumn 🍁
This isn't a hobby per say, but man do I love the fall!!! It's my absolute favorite time of the year. Oh my gosh. The beautiful colors, crisp cool air, misty and foggy days, rain, lack of bugs, being cuddled up with a candle or by the fire drinking a tea, etc. I love it! There's only two seasons for me. Fall, and waiting for fall! Haha.
• Scented Candles and incense
Going along with my love for fall, I absolutely love candles! I have like 30 something lol. 😂 Currently my favorite are WoodWick, which are owned by Yankee candle. They have such a soothing crackle and the scents are great! I also love to burn incense from time to time as well. I have cottagecore hippie vibes.
• Old houses and architecture
I love old houses! Especially 1900s and Victorian era homes. Old homes have so much character to them and are just so beautiful from a time when people took pride in their craft. I strongly dislike the modern cookie cutter cheap construction of homes today. I would love to live in an old home one day. I also love their architecture and uniqueness, as well as architecture of old cathedrals and other buildings.
• Relaxing
Basic I know, but sometimes on the weekend I just love to get cozy in bed and relax and put on a YouTube video or an album! 😊

My symptoms started in December 2018 around my birthday. I went out to my favorite restaurant for dinner and after a glass of sparkling wine I completely lost my appetite, my nose started running, teeth chattering, and I suddenly had IBS symptoms out of nowhere. I felt this immense dread for no reason. I was so confused as it was a low key bday dinner that I had been looking forward to…
These same exact symptoms continued and everyone thought it was anxiety related. I do have anxiety but it’s not something where my body just starts having these weird symptoms seemingly out of nowhere. I went to a naturopath and she diagnosed me with histamine intolerance. I was pretty strict with the diet and alcohol was completely off limits for about the next year and a half. I was also majorly triggered by exercise. I used to go HARD at the gym, especially cardio, and it became apparent that exercising vigorously would make me feel exhausted and nauseous for the rest of the day. So I stopped the HIIT workouts too.
By September of 2021 I was starting to feel better and started playing tennis, which became my passion. I felt completely cured of the histamine intolerance. I was drinking red wine again, eating gluten and dairy, playing lots of tennis multiple times per week, and was just feeling better than I had in years.
Fast forward to January 2024. I hyper extended my shoulder which led to frozen shoulder, which I am still in the thick of. I started getting patches of psoriasis on my torso, which was brand new. Then while on a trip in late March, I started feeling that awful feeling again. I was freezing cold even though it wasn’t cold out, my nose started running like crazy, and I completely lost my appetite. I felt that all consuming sense of dread. It’s never a panic attack, but like a horrible prolonged feeling where all I can do is crawl into bed and remain in the fetal position. It feels like my nervous system is broken.
So now I’m back to being afraid to exercise too much, to eat almost anything, and to stray too far from my home in case I start feeling “sick”, for lack of a better word.
Other issues: Migraines with aura TMJ issues that can make my entire face tighten up and hurt
I just want to live my life. I’m a mom who wants to work outside the home. I feel like I don’t know how to help myself anymore…I will be going to a new naturopath this month but just wanted to know if my story resonates with anyone here, or if anyone has any tips. Also, I am leaving out other personal sources of life trauma and stress that have likely contributed to my issues.
And by the way, does all of this even sound like histamine intolerance??
