Hi BWT - I hope this is allowed to ask because I feel like I always get reprimanded for repeating questions - BUT I don't think I have seen this address! please correct me if I'm wrong and if there's a post already!
Okay, disclaimer over! I need to sublease my room for the summer and unfortunately my friend that was going to take my room didn't end up getting the job she was hoping and isn't going to move. I've been whoring my room out on IG to see if any friends/friends of friends would want it but nobody's dates have lined up so I gotta go the random route! Are there any reputable FB groups for BWT types (trustworthy, clean and nice are really the only important qualifiers)? I'm nervous about having a stranger in my room and also have a roommate who will live with this person that I need to be considerate of!
What has worked for you in terms of finding random roommates? Thank you in advance!

So I recently got diagnosed with bipolar but I feel like my (16f) best friend (18m) just experiences it differently than I do. Like the things that help me don’t really help him.
He has bipolar and a plethora of other mental health issues, he’s on mood stabilizers and antidepressants but doesn’t take them consistently enough. He’s an amazing friend and a very good person, but he goes through these cycles, and every few weeks or months he’ll become extremely depressed, have no will to live, isolate himself and push people (including me and his girlfriend) away.
We all try to just be there with him while still trying to give him room but it gets really bad sometimes, to the point where he basically drops off the face of the earth and won’t respond to us for weeks at a time. I know he’s hurting but me and his girlfriend (who’s also a close friend of mine) are at the point where we really don’t know what to do. I was wondering if maybe somebody who goes through similar things as him and understands his perspective more could give any sort of advice on how to be there for him? We’re really grasping at straws lately.

I recently purchased a 19 year old gelding from FL and had him hauled up to VA where I live. He’s been here for a little over a week and the first few days he did really great. The temperatures have recently dropped slightly(70s to 50s at night) and he is not drinking as much. Last night he seemed mildly colicky, laid down and tried to roll more than once. Gave him a half dose of banamine, walked him for a couple hours, and he seemed to be okay. He’s been pooping and eating as normal. Didn’t give him grain last night, but this morning he devoured his grain.
I’ve tried everything to get him to increase his water intake but nothing seems to be working.
I’m soaking his feed, added soaked beet pulp to his feed as well.
I’ve tried: adding electrolytes to his feed and water. Salt to his feed Adding a little bit of molasses to his water.
Any other tips and tricks? Vet said I’m doing everything right but I still can’t get him to up his water intake and it’s stressing me out.

something i was thinking bout recently, is a lot of the issue with bubble stem from the fact that its a full 360 protective bunker. and these issues are both pvp and pve as trying to balance a 100% damage mitigation in all directions area denial defence seems to be difficult.
Many suggested buffs/changes to bubble to make it more balanced (be it buffs or nerfs), in either PvE or PvP would negatively impact the other in fairly substantial ways
in pve not being able to shoot through the bubble, its lack of linger defences once you leave, its Oversheild only refreshing upon exiting and re-entering, the bubble dying with the casting titan, and others. are all issues that if changed, would BREAK PvP in a fairly horrible way.
and the inverse is true with balance changes to bubble in PvP reducing bubbles PvE viability.
NOW, swapping bubble's asset for banner shields and calling it a day is going to cause more issues then fix.
BUT, with a fair bit of fiddling i think the out come would be a far better support super for PvE and PvP.
starting off with the most important aspect, aesthetics.
the casting animation would have the titan pump their fist into the air to summon the void sheild, before grabbing it with both arms and slamming it into the ground casting the Wall of Void, leaving the titans Frisbee in the middle of the Wall, which would act as the construct of light sustaining the wall
(if you having trouble picturing the casting animation, think chaining the sentinel sheild cast animation into the Bastion barricade animation),
Moving on to the actual important details functions. (I'm using Wall of Void as a place holder name)
similar to the Banner sheild behind the Wall of Void with be a visual indicator as to its ranges of effects, these effects would be

• Assailing Rampant (place holder name), DOES NOT LINGER
  • grants the following
    • 50% damage reduction PVE ONLY (same as inside a bubble)
    • 20% weapon damage buff (same as weapons of light, bubbles weapon damage buff)
    • 100% knockback reduction
• Void oversheild, regenerates at the Same speed and lingers for the same amount of time as Bastion

a good starting point for the Health and Duration of the Wall of Void, would be wells. through play testing and player usage this could be revised
the wALl oF vOiD, would linger until destroyed or its timer runs out. this is due to the easier time killing the players using the wall, so long as you don't try a frontal assault, like a monkey with a shotgun.

Hi all, I am graduating next week and I still haven’t chosen a college. I am a business major, specifically looking to go into accounting (or economics if I strongly dislike accounting). I was accepted into UT Austin’s McCombs and UMich’s Ross with full financial aid for both of them and I am stuck between them. The top things I worry about the most are diversity (I am African American), the competitiveness of schools (I need to maintain a 3.0 for my scholarship requirements), and strong community (I’m black going to a PWI, I get homesick easily, and I can be shy). Here are some of the things I like (+) and dislike (-) about UT Austin and UMich:
UT Austin:

• My target school and a little over an hour away from where I am from
  

• 1 accounting program

• I could do a five-year accounting program where I receive my bachelor’s and masters
  
• Easiest transition, more friends going to UT, especially if I get homesick
  
• Get to have a single dorm
  
• More diversity, more inclusive, especially a stronger black presence within McCombs
  
• Top business school, even if not higher than Ross
  
• Ugly campus
  
• Nothing new, have to stay in texas
  
• hot and humid
  
• Less prestige
  
• less majors to choose from if I dislike accounting
  

UMich:

• A lot more majors to choose from, such as economics which I could switch to if I dislike accounting
  
• Stronger alumni base
  
• Amazing campus compared to UT
  
• Great sports, I love hockey, I could get involved with the team’s media or play intramural hockey
  
• Slightly higher rank than UT Austin
  
• I may get super homesick
  
• Lack of diversity compared to UT makes me nervous I will get impostor syndrome

Hi! I’m starting my fitness journey & need help with where to start. Bare with me if I sound naive lol. Im trying to build muscle in my thighs & booty & tone everything else up. I’ve been strength training with no weights just to ease into it for the past 2 weeks, 3-4 times a week, feeling the burn while doing it but not getting sore after anymore.
When should I add weights & how heavy to start? Do I just start adding more weight when it stops burning/being sore after?
If I’m 55 kg - my protein intake should be anywhere from 86 to 100 g per day, correct?
Calories, roughly 2,420 per day??
78% lean muscle mass, 344 grams of carbs per day?
Should I adjust this diet if I’m wanting to tone the rest of my body at the same time? (less calories/carbs?)
I follow the diet every day even on rest days, correct?
Best way to track calorie/carb/protein intake?
How many times a week should I be working on thigh/booty muscles if they’re my main focus?
And lastly workout routine recommendations, links or anything! Any other advice/tips you have. thank you & sorry for all the questions lol<3

i live in a one bed one bath apartment for $808 in Amarillo, TX (the price is important for the location). it is like clockwork how the air conditioning completely stopped working the SAME TIME that it did last year. this time last year, our apartment wouldn’t cool down at all. it stayed at a consistent 75°-80°, but we have it set at 65° and always have. the ceiling in the bathroom leaks SO MUCH too. outside is about 85°-95° and the only time it cools down in here is when it cools down outside. we placed 5 work orders last year, and it took them about 2 months to come out and fix it. it took 5 minutes to fix when they actually got here. this year, the exact same. 75°-80° consistently, we’ve placed 4 work orders, it’s been 2 months almost, and nobody has said anything. the ceiling is leaking even worse than it was last year. i am getting fed up. what could be the reason they are ignoring our requests? what can i do now? the lease agreement says, "the time, manner, method and means of performing maintenance, and repairs, including whether or which vendors to use, are within our sole discretion." everyone has said they need to have a specific time frame where they complete work orders in the lease agreement, but they don’t. i know i need to go to the office but i don’t even know what i would realistically say.

Hi, I own a Hyundai volester 2013 1.6L with 209000km and it has transmission problems. I called a bunch of place and they all told me the same prize 2,5-3k to repare it with used low mileage transmission+ 1 year warranty. I bought my car January last year for 7k and it started having problems in march. Now I don’t know if I should fix it or buy another car ( a used one). I recommend Duolingo to anyone who is serious about learning a new language, and even more so if you like structure. Approach Duolingo like a class, put in time, take notes and you'll see progress. It's simple.
Don't be discouraged by negative opinions. If you only do the games, of course you will not learn anything. You have to do the lessons. I repeat, You Have To Do The Lessons.
Are they boring? Yes. But so is learning in a classroom, for the most part. Most people want to do the bare minimum and then wonder why they do not achieve their goals. You have to Put In The Work.
The majority of Duolingo users, just have the app installed and maybe tries a lesson, but then will get caught up in the games and stop using it. It happened to me as well. Did I blame the Duolingo course? No. It is on me to do the lessons.
Also, of course a program with no feedback on your pronunciation and no chance at conversation will not be enough for fluency but you will, indeed, learn to read and write. You would able be able to "get by" a bit in a spanish-speaking country. You would need to add a tutor and/or some type of regular conversation with a Spanish-speaker.
This had to be said because there are too many posts with Duolingo complaints, yet people won't admit that they do not put in the work. You have to put in Time, Effort and Consistency. Then you have to put what you're learning into practice, regularly.
If you're serious about learning a language, I hope you accomplish your goal. I've reached a point where I'm ready to take advantage of the resources available. There are no excuses. More times than not, we are our own issue. Find what works for you and put in the effort. Better yet, made it work for you.
