2024.05.29 03:42 mpdharley NordVPN/Firewalla, bypass VPN for some traffic

I have NordVPN configured, using Wireguard/NordLYNX, on my Firewalla firewall, with the VPN only used by specific home systems. What I want to do now, is bypass the VPN, for those systems, for specific domains, such as Ticketmaster.
Anything special I need to do within the NordVPN configuration profile? This is the config I imported into my Firewalla:
[Interface] PrivateKey =  Address = 10.5.0.2/16 DNS = 45.90.28.181 [Peer] PublicKey =  AllowedIPs = 0.0.0.0/0, ::/0 Endpoint = 185.187.168.129:51820 PersistentKeepalive = 25
Also posting this to the NordVPN sub (didn't see a cross post option_)

2024.05.29 03:15 hyrus1404 How to use RDP using a PIA VPN?

Hi all, I'm new to this community and networking/home servers in general. I understand that you have to port forward through your router in order to use RDP outside of your home network. I am NOT using the default port of course, but for security reasons, I was wondering if it's possible to use my PIA vpn with the dedicated IP to have a more secure connection? I have no idea how to set that up though. Any advice on this would be helpful.

2024.05.29 02:54 smiburho Internet Spotty After 5 Years of No Issues

I'm losing my mind.
I've been a Fios customer for 13 years now. Changed addresses about 5 years ago. I've had zero issues at this house until earlier this year. First, my Fios TV started dying during the Super Bowl...the TV would play for 4 seconds, hang for about 4 seconds, then start again, over and over. Had a tech come out, they replaced the box, and everything was fine. The problem started again in April. They sent out a new TV box by mail and I replaced it, and this seemed to fix the problem.
A week later, my Internet completely started to shit the bed. I currently have a gigabit connection with the CR1000A router and two extenders. Again, I've never had a problem in 5 years here until now. First, we noticed that our work Zoom calls and VPN connection to work would sputter out. At the same time, the kids complained that YouTube videos would stop and buffer and disconnect. Given we work from home, this was a major issue for us.
After hours on the phone with tech support, they deduced it was the router. So they sent me a new router -- except it was one of the older thin black routers, not the CR1000. I call to complain, they promise they will send me a new router. But they never do! I have to call back again to complain. At this point, the 4th tech support person suggests it could be wiring in my house, and he sells me on a $15 per month insurance plan on the wiring, saying it would be cost effective. He sends a tech out to look at my issue. The tech swears it's not the wiring, and instead suggests that we probably lost power, and that can mess with the system. He replaces the ONT, gives me a new CR1000 router, and he replaces all splitters and wires.
Things were working fine for almost a month, and today the service issues started again. My wife had 3 Zoom calls drop. I'm trying to watch the NBA Western Conference Finals now on my Apple TV (which is wired into my router) and the video sometimes stops to buffer.
I called again tonight and they can't send a tech out on a Saturday (we need a weekend appointment so that we don't have to burn work vacation time during a weekday) until June 8.
Any thoughts or suggestions from this group? Is it really a wiring problem in my house? For reference, we are in a 20-year old house built in 2004. I find it so hard to believe that after 5 years the wiring has mysteriously gone kaput.

2024.05.29 00:42 BraveLittleEcho Bought a home that comes with 3 ferals, need advice

I just bought a house and found out after papers were signed that the prior owner left behind 3 kitties (mama and 2 now adult kittens) she describes as ferals. The prior owner said were TNRed 7 years ago and since then she has been feeding them twice a day, a combination of wet and dry food in their own bowls. So far, since we're not moved in yet, we've been stopping by once a day to feed them and keep their water bowl full. They're cautious of people, but show up to their bowls at dinner time and all look pretty plump for ferals! They seem to live primarily in the back 10 ft of the back yard that is a massive hedge of invasive blackberries which we plan to remove. While I certainly want what's best for these kitties, I travel a lot for work and have lifestyle that is not going to allow me to make sure 3 these cats are fed by hand every day or and cared for like they have been.
My own very sweet senior (15 y/o) house cat is on an automatic feeder and stays with family when I travel. She is 95% indoor, but we let her outside onto the patio supervised to nap in the sunshine. She can no longer jump more than a foot or two and is deaf. She's very cautious around any other cats and is too old and docile to defend herself against any sort of attack. So, having the ferals eat on the patio is probably not a good option if there's any chance they might try to defend their turf.
I don't have any experience with ferals, so I'm here for advice about
1) Is it at all realistic to expect that we can "wean" these feral kitties off their dependency on us if they've been used to being fed/provided for for this long? Or should we just expect that we're now responsible for them and figure out how to do that in a way that will work for our lives?
Assuming there's not a good path to independence,
2) Is there an way to make one battery operated automatic feeder work for all three feral kitties so that they can be fed when we're not home? I've seen the plans others have shared for a raccoon/skunk proof feeding house and could make one of those to house a feeder? Is there a way to prevent ants from getting into the feeder as well? 3) When we cut down their blackberry bushes/home is there something we can provide to the kitties as shelter to make sure they have a safe place to live? Would a small dog house structure or something like that work? Again, we don't want to displace the kitties, but also have plans for our yard/garden that involve removing the bramble that we're not willing to forgo.
Any advice on how to make sure that we do the least harm we can to our new friends without totally disrupting our lives or endangering our pet would be much appreciated!

2024.05.29 00:27 Miekdneb Best budget/starter setup

I'm looking to upgrade my home network to something a little more featuresome than just the ISP provided routemodem/AP box.
The main things I want to get out of the new network are:
In the future I may also expand to things like
I've been looking at the U6+ for an AP, that I can mount centrally to my house, but I'm not 100% sure what other devices I'll need to make this work. My ISP router would have to stay to act as a modem (and I'm on a 300mbit internet connection)
Would it be as simple as : ISP router, connected to USG3 acting as router for VLANs etc, then U6+ for WiFi clients? (I can always add a Switch 8 PoE [Ultra/Lite?] for additional ethernet devices if needed)
I think I'd need to have an additional VPN host on the network for the future VPN use cases, but I can host this on the Home assistant/homelab host machine, I don't see why this needs to be part of the core network equipment)
Does this make sense?

2024.05.29 00:06 technebun Connection keeps dropping randomly, keep getting anydesk error "anynet_unknown"

Hello,
I am trying to connect from Macbook Pro (outside) to Windows 11 computer (at home) and sometimes my connection keeps dropping and I am given the error "anynet_unknown". I've had this problem last week and I thought I had managed to fix it by allowing firewall access on my windows computer by checking the "Anydesk" and "anydesk.exe" boxes and disabling "Allow direct connections" on both computers.
However, since today the error has reappeared and I have no clue whats causing it. I thought it might be the network I am using but not even my hotspot works. NordVPN shouldn't cause an issue either.
How do I fix this?

2024.05.28 23:16 Alarmed-Zebra3559 No internet after change of LAN IP in OPNsense

Hi,
I want to change my default LAN to another IP because my current setup conflicts with WireGuard VPN, where, for example, I can't connect to my WireGuard Server if I'm in a place that uses 192.168.1.1/24 as their network.
I get a correct IP address and can connect to the OPNsense GUI after the change of LAN IP in OPNsense, but I have no internet connection.
The problem is that I don't have an outgoing connection. I can ping, for example, 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 which works from my computer on the new ip-range. It is not possible to access a website. In the OPNsense GUI, there is no outgoing connection, which is evident by a timeout when searching for updates, for example.
OPNsense is running in Proxmox in a standard installation (I haven't changed any firewall rules).
I have tried to change the OPNsense LAN to different IP addresses by doing the following:
  1. Interfaces > [LAN] - entering a new IP in "IPv4 address" e.g. 10.25.25.1/24 > Save
  2. Define a manual IP address in the new range on my computer so I can connect to the new OPNsense GUI.
  3. Update the IP range under Services > ISC DHCPv4 > [LAN] to match the new IP address defined under the LAN interface. Click Save.
  4. Set my computer to automatically receive an IP address again.
  5. Open CMD in Windows 10 and type: ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew.
I have tried restarting the OPNsense VM and the AdGuard Home LXC (The new upstream DNS is, of course, updated in AdGuard Home). I have tried restarting the entire Proxmox.
Is there anything else I need to change to make it work?
The Proxmox installation is on the old network, which no longer exists in the router (OPNsense) 192.168.1.xxx. Does this matter?
I really hope someone can help me find a solution! Thank you very much in advance for your help!

2024.05.28 23:11 3rdAssaultBrigade Born in China, Traumatized by my Early Life for 2 Decades. How can I Get Out of it?

I've lived for more than two decades, but I still think my story that started from a nameless tiny town in China was like an unbelievable story filled with an unexplainable sense of asphyxiation. Maybe if you're a foreigner, you may lost your Orientalist illusion of a mysterious Eastern Country by reading this text. It's real life, the BLOODY life from the first view account of some really traumatized person.
I was born in an isolated town in China, where the society was semi-primitive (populated by several large clans in the surrounding villages). My parents were hyper-conservative and an absolute fit of Asian parent stereotypes: obsessed with over-education and hyper-paranoid. When I was young, I was forbidden to play with other kids in the community, for fear that I'd be run over by a car or be kidnapped. I've literally lost the critical period of learning how to deal with others, that's probably why I never learned how to socialize properly.
Just like stereotyped, they invested a ton in my education. I started to learn English even before I could speak Mandarin properly (despite my mom trying to speak Mandarin at home to reduce the influence of dialect on me, my speaking is still heavily influenced by dialect speakers since my environment has barely a Mandarin speaker).
My very first "memory" of this world is about kindergarten. I never appreciated it. Instead, I thought that life in Kindergarten was the first torment for me in my life. I still remember the dystopian and surreal architecture, being a repulsive conglomerate of artificially, unnatural colored Kindergarten compounds (based on the false assumption that kids love highly saturated, colorful things) surrounded by faded Soviet-style buildings with aluminum chimneys. After nearly 20 years I revisited my kindergarten and the nearly unchanged architecture reminded me about the reproduction facility that runs Bokanovsky's process in Huxley's book Brave New World. I saw the lawn where kids massacred ants and bugs by various means for fun.
Our family moved to a relatively bigger city before I was admitted to primary school. My entire time in primary school was filled with bullying and sarcasm. The first time I was bullied was when I lost my first deciduous tooth. Other pupils never know this process and regarded me as an outcast from the group. They even suspected me of having Down's syndrome and started calling me like that. One day when I was walking to the dorm after lunch I was assaulted by a group of pupils that I never knew their name. They grabbed me, hit me, and kicked me for no reason for 30 minutes.
Later I was bullied by other people for no reason and I thought it was because of that I was not strong enough (I have very bad strength and stamina for respiratory problems). I started to retaliate against them with the weapons of WWIV, namely sticks, and rocks. Until 9th grade, I always lived a life like in a warzone. I always need to constantly monitor my flank and my back in case someone will give my head a strong hit by a club. BTW if you think it's my own reason that I've been bullied then you're probably wrong; There were a few incidents in my school where students got fractured in fighting. Even large battles that involved dozens on each side are not uncommon.
I began to have symptoms of traumatization, like inexplicable fear, unable to focus, and frequent flashbacks. I murmured to myself to ease my nervousness and drew random patterns on textbooks and notebooks. My teachers began to question my parents for my misbehavior, and even the dean of my primary school physically assaulted me by kicking me in the butt (the reason for the incident was probably my dad sent me to a forbidden gate of the school). Later the teachers in my middle school even tried to isolate me and another heavily bullied student from other students. It's China, and the implicit rule is always punishing the victim instead of the perpetrator. They call it "stabilization" (维稳).
I never got any medical service on mental health. It's almost a forbidden topic in Chinese society. The first time in my life, when I got a psychologist, was when I studied in a foreign country. She said "kids can be cruel" after hearing about my traumatic stories.
Later the CCP began its massive traditionalist, ultra-nationalist propaganda movement. They tried to instill Confusian "Traditional culture"(传统文化) in schools. One day we were asked to show gratitude to our parents and teachers en masse after a "moving" speech by a renowned "tradition researcher". Many girls even cried. I don't know to whom, and for what should I show gratitude. Why they've chosen to give me life in this world? Had I a choice to terminate my life when I was born, just like Kappa by Akutagawa Ryūnosuke, I'd have it. Why don't have the choice? If it's not my free will to survive all such torments, why I should thank my family, my school, the country and the Mighty CCP?
After I got a phone (my parents restricted my internet access until my 7th grade for fearing my myopia to grow, in vain) I started to Fanqiang (bypassing the GFW by something like a VPN). During my middle school I also read books like 1984 and We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. I realized that we live in a living hell of totalitarianism and social Darwinism, but I have no escape.
In 2017-2019, China began to intensify censorship on internet content, including Anime and games which were almost the only way for me to survive. They also tried to indoctrinate one entire generation with anti-west, xenophobic, and ultranationalistic videos. I found out the Internet, previously a haven for me that could escape real life in virtual joy, was no longer safe. I saw people reposting the disgusting quotes and online comments that pro-ccp (we call them rabbit friends 兔友) people made. They regarded Taiwan and Hong Kong people as subhuman, and the Anglo-Saxon world as needing to be conquered by communism. I began to build up really bad view of this country's common people. If the victims of the nukes were not unguilty for their support of Japanese expansion, what about the Chinese?
Later, the isolation during COVID really aggravated my mental problems. I began self-harming, alcohol consumption, and even was pretty active in my sexual life for a certain period. I have been interested in history since 7th grade, and my favorite historian was Liu Zhongjing. I draw the conclusion that the doom(the prophecy of "the Deluge" 大洪水) was near.
Now I'm studying in a foreign land, but I still cannot get out of the flashbacks and trauma from my life in China. I still have flashbacks when I meet other Chinese students in the university. With the academical pressure and a really bad psychological health, I'm barely surviving by psychological meds (luckily covered by my health provider) and alcohol.
What do you think about my stories and my life in the perspective of a foreigner or an expat?

2024.05.28 22:13 sp0okymuffin Help: Swapped from Tailscale to Wireguard – can't access all of LAN

Hello community,
First and foremost – this subreddit has proved invaluable on my journey, and whilst I remain a noob, I feel more and more confident every day as I establish my (unnecessarily) elaborate setup thanks to all of your input and help. Thank you.
Situation:
Now for the weird behaviour:
I'm guessing it's a DNS issue, but I'm not seeing any other DNS issues, so perhaps it's a firewall rule blocking my phone/laptop when on-the-go from accessing local devices.
Here is a screenshot of what I believe to be the main settings. I'm happy to provide more, if needed, as I have several VLANs, several Wireguard tunnels and all the rules that come with all of that...but I'm hoping it's a simple noob mistake.

All the settings I believe to be relevant...
Thank you in advance for your help! Can't wait to get this finished and do a longer post about what I've achieved with my home network. :)

2024.05.28 20:55 TheCrazyDEJV Moonlight works after disconnecting from VPN

Hi all,
I'm having this security concern I'm hoping you'll be able to help me with.
I have a VPS with a reverse proxy set up on it, which points to my home Proxmox host running Ubuntu Server with the proxy client as well as a WireGuard server.
I noticed, that after the reverse proxy crashed, I was able to flawlessly connect to my PC even though my internet connection didn't work on the remote machine. After disconnecting from WireGuard fully, my internet started working, but Moonlight keeps on working as well.
How is that possible? When not connected to VPN, I am not able to connect to my PC in any other way than using Moonlight.
I would expect/want Moonlight to work only locally/through VPN, I do not have any other VPN clients running on the machine.
This is quite a curious case to me, if you come up with any ideas to why this is happening, I will gladly appreciate your opinions.

2024.05.28 20:53 joshyz73 Architecture for IIS App and SQL

Throwing this out there for some input, as I'm not sure the best way to implement this. I working on setting up an Azure footprint for a customer with a custom, home-grown app. Let's call it MainApp that runs on IIS, and has an MSSQL backend. I don't foresee a complete redesign of the app being in the cards (as in, I don't see them making it an Azure WebApp). I'll explain how it works right now with on-prem (bear in mind, this was architected YEARS ago):
The subnets for the .dmz and .local connect to the same physical firewall, but access is (of course) restricted between them.
I will note that the internal, company network/domain is separate from this MainApp setup.
We want to get them fully to Azure, while still offering security (preventing an attacker on the exposed DMZ side from being able to do anything to the "secure" .local side). I'm going back and forth on a few solutions: replicating the setup as it is -> with 2 domains and 2 vNETs, going with just 1 domain but restricting things with NSGs, Azure SQL Managed Instance(s), etc. I'm just not sure what would be the most secure vs easiest to maintain. Has anyone dealt with this kind of set up? We are also talking about using a Meraki vMX as a firewall/VPN concentrator.

I've changed a lot of stuff since the last time I posted on this subreddit so I thought maybe it'd be worth posting. The dell Poweredge currently does nothing, I need to think of a use for it. The HP DL360 runs my web server, a couple Minecraft servers and all my HyperV VM's. The Cisco switch and router are just to mess around with a stay sharp on Cisco ios as I learn new things. I'm always changing the diagram to keep it up to date and make it cleaner but I like where it's at right now.

2024.05.28 20:34 extinctpolarbear Trip report: Cuba 2024

I thought I would give a quick trip report on a recent vacation to Cuba (May ’24) as I have not seen that much on here.
Itinerary:
I arrived in Habana and stayed for 2 nights. After I went to Viñales - I originally planned to stay for 2/3 nights but ended up staying there for the rest of my trip before flying home from Habana again.
More on that later.
Transport:
You can get around multiple ways in Cuba (it is quite a big country after all:
Train: There are multiple train routes, some reliable and some not
Plane: I was advised on taking any internal flights as they seem to be notoriously unreliable
Rental car: Great option for independent travel but very expensive. Think around 100+ Euros per day for a car. This does not include gas which can be very hard to come by.
Bus: The cheapest option by far but you need to have lots of time and flexibility.
Taxi: Expensive but a good option for independent travel
Shared Taxi: I would say one of the most common options for foreigners to get around. You share a car with others (max I have been were 9 people in an American car from the 50s. As an example: A trip from Habana to Viñales is 25Euro for a 2.5-4h ride depending on the circumstances. You might sit comfortable or not, you might have AC or not, you might break down in the middle of the trip or not.
Any form of local transport: You can always find someone to take you on their motorcycle, horse carriage etc. Will be quite cheap, probably not very comfortable but gets you from A to B for short distances.
I also hitchhiked with locals a few times which worked out great.
Accommodation:
Airbnb now works in Cuba but ONLY if you book from abroad. Inside of Cuba you can look at listings/prices but not book. Should work with a VPN though but I did not bother.
You have Hotels (51%+ owned by the government which you don’t want to support. You also have Casas Particulares (privately owned BnB style) which are affordable and they take care of you like their family as you are their responsibility. I paid around 15Euro per night for great rooms but if you book through Airbnb you can get it quite a bit cheaper.
Resorts I read are way more expensive but I am not interested in that so I can’t really say much about it. They also seem to be all government owned.
Food:
It was fine. Not amazing but not bad either. There are crazy food shortages (I saw some of the food cards from locals where they get assigned a certain amount of food each month and it is no where near enough to survive). But you can get Western food in lots of places where tourists frequent.
The amount of Fresh fruit is amazing, fresh pineapple, mango, watermelon, Guyaba, etc for breakfast each day is just incredible!
Prices:
I have already mentioned transport and accommodation prices. Food prices very A LOT.
My first night in Habana I paid 15 Euros for 2 (ok they were very good and HUGE) Tacos. I did not bother to look at the menu first/ask for the price and was obviously ripped of completely.
Later on I paid around the following prices:
Pasta: 2.5 Euros
Pizza: The same
Local Food (such as huge portions of rope vieja): Same, but can be had for 2 Euros.
Mojito (and other cocktails): One bar I frequented it was 58 cents when I arrived and 50 cents when I left.
Beer: 1-2 Euros
Bottle of 1.5L of water: Around 1Euro
Other things: I brought everything I needed so only bought a handmade hat which was around 5 Euros but heard tourists get charged up to 20. Speaking Spanish helps a lot.
Cigars: They can be quite expensive (around 10 Euro for a cigar that would cost 40 in Europe) so I did not buy any (I did not know they were that expensive as I never smoke cigars at hone). But just by buying a beer for random farmers at a village bar I got gifted plenty of cigars.
People:
Simply amazing. Maybe I was lucky by making friends on my third day there but I met so many local people there that were just incredible.
The more rural, the nicer the people seem to be. Habana is a hit and miss but I mostly met great people there as well although I heard that crime has picked up quite a bit. Personally I had 0 problems and Cuba has been of the the countries where I have felt safest in all my travels despite the hardship of many people.
This takes me to the next point: Due to befriending locals, I have been to quite a few smaller villages and houses of people that did not work in the tourism sector and it is very sad to see. They live in wooden shacks, often without electricity or running water and barely survive because of the lack of food.
Funny story: the president was visiting a neighbouring village one day and they painted lots of houses just so it looks like it’s going well before his arrival.
People are always friendly to everyone and only once you talk with them in private and for some time you start hearing how literally everyone hates the government and struggles on a daily basis.
This leads me to the last point which saddened me quite a bit: I saw quite a few relationships between amazing young cuban women and bitter, old white men (no matter if from the US, UK, Germany etc.). You could really feel that the guys were happy about having a hot, young woman to fu**, paying them a little bit of money each month and the women pretending to be happy but in reality just doing it for survival. I talked to a few women that were very reluctant to open up but in the end were quite clear they only do it for the money and do not actually love the fat, bald 70 year old white guy (who would’ve thought). Sex tourism is a very real thing there. This takes me to the next topic:
Money:
This is not easy but also not super complicated: The Tourism sector wants Euros or US dollars (sometimes CAD or Pounds is fine as well). The official exchange rate when I was there was 1/120. Meaning if you change at an official place OR pay by credit card anywhere. The unofficial exchange rate was 1/340 when I arrived and 1/400 when I left. I think it is self explanatory that you should not withdraw money but rather take enough cash and exchange on the go. Always change in the house you are staying at and don’t exchange too much at once as the exchange rate fluctuates A LOT.
Other than that: The cars are incredible: Driving around in a 70 year old American car or a 50 year old Lada is something you won’t be able to experience anymore in 99% of the world.
The nature is incredible!
When you travel through the country you often feel like you are in another century.
Oh and right now, electricity is a big problem. We had power cuts 50% of the day. And it is HOT and humid.
You need a travel health insurance to enter the country (although no one bothered to check upon arrival).
And just to finish with a great story: I was out and came back to my accommodation. A guy was struggling with his car since it ran out of gas. Me and my friend offered to help him push the car to his bosses place. Once we arrived we got talking with the boss and he invited us for a free dinner at his restaurant the next evening which had the most amazing sunset views I had seen in years. What I learned at that dinner: I you open a bottle of rum in Cuba you spill a bit for good luck.
I tried attaching some photos but it does not let me upload the file type it seems. If anyone is interested I will try and attach some photos in a comment. Hope this helps a little and I am of course open to answer any questions. This is of course by no means a full report but I hope I could shed some light on visiting Cuba. I am already planning on going back soon as I have made some incredible connections with the people there.

Indeed, without a doubt. It should go without saying! It would be much more convenient for your users to access and enjoy your content on a compatible streaming device. An Android-based system is a good place to start since it offers an open-source ecosystem that makes it simple for customers to acquire a certified load on their devices.
There are significantly more options for streaming on IPTV devices with the Amazon Fire Stick. Firestick's popularity is mostly due to its many features, user-friendly UI, and plenty of supplementary content.
Additionally, keep in mind that well-known streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Peacock, Hulu, and others can offer official app support.
For years, people's entertainment demands were met by a variety of Internet streaming services available through IPTV platforms and satellite bundles.

Considerations for IPTV Services When Selecting

1. Examine the offerings they make
Examining the services that a potential IPTV provider offers should be your first priority when making your selection. Remember that while many providers may provide you a ton of channels, they won't put as much effort into offering you high-quality ones.
Check to check if the bundle includes a sports or kids channel, just in case you're interested in obtaining one.
2. Stream Signal Strength
One of the most important factors to consider before choosing the finest IPTV provider is the quality of the signal networks. If the signal strength is not strong enough, you may face problems with white noise and resolution.
If, for example, you are watching a game set in Canada, you may not have a high-quality viewing experience. Thus, throughout the trial period, test items.
3. Take Note of User Reviews
Skimming through user evaluations and ratings is the most dependable method of determining whether IPTV services from the USA or other countries are helpful. Users' candid feedback at the end of the day will highlight a number of important elements.
They will give you the benefit of the doubt as they explain why you should pick them over others. Social media sites ought to support it more.
4. Sites Served
There are platforms that may provide IPTV service locally! In the global landscape, premium content may not be offered by every brand. Several European nations, like Ireland, Spain, Germany, France, Portugal, Belgium, etc., favor linked TV options.
In order to be satisfied with the features you pay for, it is crucial to pay attention to what and where they offer. You'll also want to be able to access your profile from wherever.
5. The Right Device for Your Plan
The device compatibility parameter is the next one you should take into account. Even while many people are used to watching TV on traditional sets, others now have the choice of watching their favorite shows on smart gadgets that you may have used in the past.
Additionally, find out how many devices each member in your home can use at once to ensure uninterrupted use.
6. Buffers & Internet Speed
We live in a modern day where gen-Xers are invincible. We anticipate to be able to access our channels in a trillion seconds instead of minutes!
Thanks to developments in internet technology, consider using providers that don't use buffers when placing calls. It goes without saying that platform services will not advertise themselves as slow-moving. So, in-depth investigation will make clear.
7. Beneficial Customer Service
The most important is tech assistance. You can't prevent this, therefore you should always keep an eye on it. It's one of the most important pieces of equipment, therefore you'll need the greatest video streaming platform to assist you feel secure about this.
Additionally, as soon as you start working with one of these reliable firms, find out how open and honest they are with communication.
8. Financial Considerations
The final factor that determines which video streaming services are the best is, of course, how much they will cost you. Recall that there are a plethora of diverse services available in the market nowadays, some of which can be more expensive than others.
The best course of action is to compile a list of services that, after reviewing the specifics, offer your desired features in your area and at a price that fits.

Conclusion

2024.05.28 20:03 prhymeate Trouble logging into VPN server

My NAS is connected on 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3
Months ago, I set up a VPN server and exported the config file using the guide by WunderTech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbfa-YVUfls
I have opened the port on the Synology firewall and forwarded port 1194 on my router to 192.168.1.2
For a few weeks the VPN will connect, no problems. It will then randomly stop working, and the only way to get it working is to change the router port forwarding from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.3. Then the same thing happens a couple of weeks later, and I have to change it back to 192.168.1.2
This has happened for months and I don't really know why. It's annoying because I will try to log in away from home, and it won't work and I'm unable to change the port forwarding until I get home.
My router is an Asus RT-AX53U with the latest firmware.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
