Short and sweet. I am from a thoroughly devout Christian background. Anytime I was in prayer or received what I perceived as a huge blessing/answered prayer - I would feel overwhelmed with emotion I would exclaim "Hallelujah!"
I find myself experiencing similar feelings of love, joy and gratitude and out of habit I want to say "Hallelujah". Instead I've opted to say Blessed be the Gods, Blessed be the Elements, or whatever it is I'm working with that I want to express gratitude. I could try to just feel what I'm feeling but it's almost a compulsion, I need to speak and express the love I'm feeling. This could be a carry over from a Christian spirituality, but I don't mind. I'm an emotional person. (water sign) It is what it is.
If you experience similar things from your Gods/Goddesses, the Earth, spirits, etc, how do you respond? Or do you say nothing at all and just be? Just curious!

I want to make this VERY compact as to not overcomplicate things. I'm 26, M, 5'7, 199 Lbs.
About three years ago, I drank heavy and went to bed. I don't know if I got COVID or something, but I woke up with the nastiest cough ever, and the pain got better, but never away. There isn't a day that goes by where I think about doing something risky to myself, so I thought I'd ask to see what I could do or what specialist I could ask next. It feels like daily inflammation around my tracheal area, does NOT matter what I eat or if I don't eat. I don't have a problem with breathing, and I do NOT smoke.
List of things I KNOW it's not: acid reflux, asthma, thyroid problem, I've done extensive testing with each of these, and have already tried PPI's, gotten a barium swallow, chest ct, upper endoscopy, and it's nothing of the sorts.
List of things I KNOW helps: Antibiotics. I took two rounds of antibiotics two years ago, and one 2-week round of antibiotics VERY recently, and those ALWAYS had me feel normal/relieved around the pain, but it's never fully. I always feel that the round of antibiotics just, aren't long enough, or something. I recently took amoxicillin-clav 875-125mg and the first few days were RELIEF central, I cannot believe there was a point where I was beginning to feel normal.
What could I do? I want to get a biopsy of my tracheal area/larynx area, but my pulmonologist doesn't want to do that as the CT scan came out negative. I was given antibiotics by a new ENT that I visited and again, that's the ONLY time I felt normal. Could it be some sort of lingering bacteria that just won't be killed? Do I need surgery? I'm running out of fuel to keep going.
I've uploaded an image of where this constant, daily pain is. It's never my lungs, or anywhere else, only this specific area that gets better ONLY with antibiotics, but never fully. I'm very happy to answer any questions, please, I'm running out of options. Thank you!

So.. i am working at a place since a year where I met this guy 28M. he’s European and I’m not. ( although I speak his language pretty well but we still talk in English)

As a bit of a background, i haven’t come from the most stable of households. My mother only ever found the most abusive of men and her relationships almost appear like a transaction. My father was nasty and when my parents divorced he became incredibly mysoginistic never found another partner.
To cut a long story short, i’ve never seen healthy love. I try to take bits of what i see from movies and reality shows but i don’t trust it because it all seems like it’s created for drama or entertainment.
I’ve been in a relationship with my current boyfriend for 3 years this summer. To begin with, it felt like a romance. We’d sit under fireworks and stars and blush over the slightest compliment. Then we shifted into a long distance relationship due to going to different universities. We’ve now been long distance for 2 years. However i can’t help but feel like we are incredibly close friends with no romance or flirtation or any excitement. I try to flirt but he doesn’t recognise it even if im so blatantly obvious. I feel like a flower that has bloomed in his sunshine and then been placed in a dark cupboard.
I’ve seen some people who have been in successful relationships say that their relationship is like they are the closest of friends. Is this position that we are in healthy? friendship seems like the foundation to a healthy relationship but at the cost of romance? should the romance last a little longer? I understand we’ll never be like how we were at the beginning, but i miss feeling pretty and feeling flirted with.

Here is my review if useful.
Background: • I was with sky broadband for 10+ years - not a fibre line as not available in my area from Sky or any other provider. • The max Sky could give me was only 25 Mbps at a price of £37 pm after the April price rise • Knock on the door 26/03/2024 from BRSK sales rep stating that they will be installing fibre in my area. • No overhead telephone lines in my area as all lines are underground to the property • 05/04/2024 got a message that my area is now 'Live' • Signed up for BRSK on 12/04/24 - at a price of £28 pm for 500 Mbps + £3 pm for the BetterPhone Essential (+£12 one off phone line port fee) • Next day i had an engineer around to check the underground ducts weren't blocked and he was able to clear it without any issues on the day. • 17/04/2024 BRSK was fully installed by the engineer within a couple of hours and to a location i desired.
BRSK Review: • The whole installation process was done perfectly with great customer service by Phil. I was on the phone to him for an hour asking all sorts of questions as i had never heard of BRSK before and he was able to answer some technical questions. • Everything was up and running within a week from initial contact to installation - which was great as I had a week or so left to cancel my Sky broadband contract due to the price rise. Great speedy work for that BRSK! • Service - so far has been amazing, no issues! My devices are connected via WiFi and in the rooms near the router i'm getting 520 Mbps Download and Upload - more than the 500 i'm paying for. • Locations across the house - WiFi speed and strength does cut in half - as to be expected with WiFi - but better than what it was like with the Sky router. So no need for an extender like i needed with Sky. • No downtime so far - constant connection. • Gaming - using my xbox there was been no issues. Ping has been very stable at around 15-20 ms which is slightly better than i had with sky and much more stable now. No issues with Nat or any sort of jittepacket loss. Download speed of around 200 Mbps on my Xbox due to distance from router. • BetterPhone - porting landline from Sky took 12 days. I also needed to request a RJ11 to BT Adapter plug which took a few days but was provided for free when asked for. Quality - not as great as copper landline i had before but this may be down to the phone i have as 7+ years old, not sure.
Overall everything has been perfect so far with consistent speeds, no downtime and great customer service, all at a price cheaper than Sky and 20x faster. Couldn't be more happy so far! So with that being said i would highly recommend BRSK and what's better is no price rises during the 2 year contract!

Every single woman I've been with took great pleasure in acquiring new things, regardless of usefulness or price. Meanwhile I don't get it at all and tend to take pride in the exact opposite. The only expensive thing I own is my gaming pc, else I use a 10y old laptop that simply still does its job just fine and I repaired my phone about 5 times by myself, so maybe I'm just the other end of the extreme, but even when I take a look at my friend group, usually they all have one particular hobby they spend a few bucks on here and there, maybe a few hundred a year. That's what I've come to experience is what the women I've been with spend on a weekly, maybe monthly basis. The only dude who buys expensive stuff all the time does it by his own accord to impress women.
Even eating out/ordering is, for example, something my GF regularly and takes pleasure from whereas I mooostly see it as wasting money and robbing myself of the opportunity to perfect my cooking skills. Exception is practicality when I don't have time to cook because of a long work day.
So what do you think is going on here? Is my observation correct or miss-perceived, maybe influenced by some stereotypes? Are there any statistics about it? Does any psychologist know the answer? If you're a person who spends much money, can you explain why?

Hi everyone,
I've been working for an EU-based digital startup for about a year. We’ve built a global data architecture as we plan to launch our app in the US market as well as in the EEA (EU). Our goal is to gain deep insights into in-app user behavior to create segments of successful and unsuccessful users. Along the way, we collect a substantial amount of sensitive data (medical insights, emails, names, etc.).
To comply with GDPR, we funnel our user input into two separate operational databases located in the US and EU to meet data residency requirements. However, we recently realized that the event data we collect via our Firebase SDK integration with Google Analytics 4 also contains a lot of sensitive information. To obtain granular data without relying on the GA4 interface, we used the BigQuery link to export all of our custom events and attributes to Google BigQuery. From there, we use Fivetran to transfer the data into our EU-hosted Snowflake data warehouse to combine it with our operational databases.
We’ve been consulting with our designated DPO, but no one seems to have a fitting answer to the question: “What are the alternatives to our GA4 setup that allow us to record sensitive event data to monitor our developments?”
According to our research, GA4 temporarily stores user data collected in the EU but then sends it to the US for processing. This would violate GDPR if we track medical records (weight, BMI, emails) via GA4.
We are aware that we could implement SCCs, Impact Assessments, TIAs, etc., to make these data transfers valid. However, our management would prefer a solution that allows us to store and process all data in the EU to minimize risks.
We have identified two alternative solutions:

1. Replace GA4 with Firebase SDK + Firebase DB to store our event data. Then export the data from Firebase BigQuery into BigQuery and from there into Snowflake. Additionally, we are considering using UXCam to track user journeys throughout the app.
   
2. Replace our GA4 setup and connect our SDK to Amplitude. Export our event data from Amplitude to Snowflake via Fivetran.
   

The questions I have are:
a) If we go the Firebase route, does Google still process our data in the US? The Firebase interface offers dashboards, which I assume are powered by our event data. Does the processing happen in the EU or the US?
b) Has anyone used UXCam and can provide insights on its performance and areas where it does (or doesn’t) perform well?
c) Is Amplitude a decent replacement for our setup? I am still looking for strong arguments to pitch to our product manager on why we should use tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Heap instead of web-based analytics such as GA4/Firebase in combination with UXCam.
As you can tell, GDPR has been a significant challenge for our analytics as a startup with global aspirations. We collect and store a lot of sensitive data and, therefore, have to be very careful with our setup and how we transfer and analyze data across borders (or not).
Lastly, a slightly off-topic question: If we have an employee in the US logging into our Snowflake Data platform hosted in the EU to run queries and perform basic analytics, would this be considered a data transfer since the query results are a processing activity? Would GDPR flag this as a violation?

I know these are a lot of questions, but data privacy is highly complex and there isn’t much information about past use cases that fit our current operations. I've been specializing on Data Analytics and Science but app development has been a steep learning curve for me.

I’d say I’m a new believer (start of this year) but a lot of the times recently I’ve felt like I don’t have a true relationship with God, that my belief and faith is fake - am I just a professing Christian? I do acknowledge the truth of the gospels but I fear it might just be merely intellectual assent and me decieving myself and not an actual reliance and trust in Christ? I doubt so much coupled with the fact that I sin frequently which makes me feel condemned and haven’t truly repented and believed in the gospel like it’s written.

Another thing that scares me is that James writes that faith without works is dead, but i’m not even sure if I have works to validate my faith or what works even are in fact. I know works isn’t what saves me and that faith does - but if faith requires works to be faith; how does that work?

How does one truly trust and believe in Jesus Christ ? How can I ‘test if I’m in the faith” as Paul wrote? Any answers are appreciated, thank you.

I've just started a small business in the state of Kentucky, it's online based for now (consultation work if that matters).
A person I've chosen to recruit is a French citizen currently living in Sweden. I would like them to start work from Sweden but later come to the US so as to establish a brick and mortar business.
While I've received plenty of good advice I have not been able to get a straight answer as to what legal steps I need to take in order to employ this person and bring them here.
Here's what I'm trying to figure out:

• Any regulations to be aware of for hiring someone outside the US (I don't know if FR or SWE have any say in the process but if anyone happens to know that's extremely helpful)
  
• How to get my employee permission to come to the US indefinitely as a worker for my business (as opposed to 90 days at a time on only an ESTA)
  
• An acceptable method to pay said person (if I need to use a payroll service or if I can just use something like a bank transfer or Paypal).
  
• If I need to offer medical insurance as an SBO and if so where to find options on what I must offer.
  

At the moment I am registered as a small business via my local government, I already have an EIN, and I am looking for affordable CPA and SBA consulting for these issues.
I would be extremely grateful for any advice or direction, no matter how anecdotal.
