2024.06.09 01:09 Sea-Chemistry-4130 Washer doesn't spin, but if I reseat the cable it works for a bit again?? What??
I'm trying to fix an LG WM2501H*A washer that wasn't spinning. There was no error code showing, it was making a noise, but not spinning. I unplugged the blue control board connector in the back, ohm tests read ~8ohm to the motor which is within tolerances, I reseated that cable... and it was working fine again? I ran a cycle, and it stopped working again. I am completely confused. I'm unsure of when the fault happens, that's my next step, but I'm pretty clueless on what this issue could be.

I had been wanting to get into this community ever since I heard about what MakeMKV is. I recently brought an LG WH16NS60 and flashed it to rev 1.02. I've been able to rip multiple DVDs and standard Blu-rays but earlier today I tried to rip Oppenheimer to no avail. I have tried the 4K UHD version of the disk as well as the standard blu-ray version both giving me the same "M2TS hash check error" code. I have tried a few fixes like restarting the software/PC, cleaning the disk and in a last ditch effort I also tried improving airflow to the optical drive. Upon searching for it, I did see that other people had issues with Oppenheimer, unfortunately their fixes did not work for me.
I apologize if this a stupid over site on my part but I appreciate any advice.

I have an LG DLE7300VE dryer that's out of warranty, and I'm looking for help to fix it myself. The machine turns on and shows that it's “running” (it even counts down and ‘acts’ like its running a cycle,“. I once got the “NP” error code, but it has since disappeared. I checked the breaker and confirmed that my wall outlet and plug are both drawing 240V. Could this be a belt drum issue, or is it related to the blower housing thermostat or fuse? I'm unsure how to check the latter. I have also done a wifi diagnostics and everything checked out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a front loader LG washer. I changed the rollers in my dryer last fall which I think made me hyper-aware of small problems and otherwise I would not have noticed this.
Basically the washer, if turning the drum by hand, would make a very faint whine. Sometimes I will hear this when the machine is running but I have to be standing right there, it's very faint. Akin to a slightly squeaky hinge on a door, from a different floor.
In googling this slight whine, it seemed it can indidate a bearing is going bad. I also found there should not be a lot of play in the drum, you should not be able to move it much with regard to the outer tub. My tub is quite jiggly within the machine, whereas I noticed the ones in the store are very solid and do not jiggle at all. So I figured I would get to this bearing thing in a while...
Two weeks ago the pump went out. I got the OE code and it wouldn't drain, it just made a horrible grinding sound. I took the filter out to let it drain and finished laundry that way and have been using a laundry mat until i get get to taking the washer apart. Figured I would do both jobs while I am in there.
Now that I have the front off the machine, all of the jiggling seems to be a matter of springs and suspension rods surrounding the tub. There doesn't seem to be any play between the metal inner tub and the plastic tub around it. Is that where the play would be if it was a bearing? Should the rods be replaced if my machine has more jiggle than the ones in the store? The machine also isn't making that slight whine now when I turn the tub so I can't even post a video to show how that sounds. All I know is there seems to be no play between the metal and plastic tub which indicates the bearings may be fine and there is no need to tackle that right now. But how much jiggle is normal in a washing machine? Ours was purchased 2017. And it never occurred to me to make a note of how much jiggle it had, prior to tackling the dryer and wanting to be abetter at noticing small problems before they became big.

My tub is quite jiggly within the machine, whereas I noticed the ones in the store are very solid and do not jiggle at all. So I figured I would get to this bearing thing in a while...
Two weeks ago the pump went out. I got the OE code and it wouldn't drain, it just made a horrible grinding sound. I took the filter out to let it drain and finished laundry that way and have been using a laundry mat until i get get to taking the washer apart. Figured I would do both jobs while I am in there.
Now that I have the front off the machine, all of the jiggling seems to be a matter of springs and suspension rods surrounding the tub. There doesn't seem to be any play between the metal inner tub and the plastic tub around it. Is that where the play would be if it was a bearing? Should the rods be replaced if my machine has more jiggle than the ones in the store? The machine also isn't making that slight whine now when I turn the tub so I can't even post a video to show how that sounds. All I know is there seems to be no play between the metal and plastic tub which indicates the bearings may be fine and there is no need to tackle that right now. But how much jiggle is normal in a washing machine? Ours was purchased 2017. And it never occurred to me to make a note of how much jiggle it had, prior to tackling the dryer and wanting to be abetter at noticing small problems before they became big.

2024.06.08 03:32 PrinceZordar LG Portable AC Compressor will not start - fuse?
I hope I am asking in the right place. We have an LG LP0721WSR portable AC unit that's about 3 years old. It powers on and blows air, but the compressor doesn't kick on. We've checked the obvious - air flow, clean filters, etc. There is no error code on the display, it just not engage the compressor. Is there a fuse inside we can try to replace? I tried to look it up on Google, but all I find are LG pages telling me to check the house fuses. I did the online troubleshooting but it says call a service place. I'm not paying someone to drive 60 miles to replace a fuse I could have done myself, but if someone already knows there isn't a replaceable fuse on it, I won't even bother to take it apart. It would probably cost as much to repair as replace, but then I am stuck with disposal.
