Does anyone else feel like the usual idea of romance and relationships is the craziest thing? Let’s say you meet someone nice. You’re both attracted to each other, the sex is great, etc. As time passes, you get more and more into each other. Somehow, because of that, you feel the need to “make it serious” (as if everything until now was necessarily a joke or a game). Then, you start seeing ONLY each other. You don’t have sex with anyone else even though you may want to, and you expect your partner to do the same. If, for some reason, they don’t like the idea of exclusivity, they’re “not taking it seriously” (as if pursuing a more diverse sex life was dangerous to the passion between you both, which just proves how fickle the link between you two is, but whatever).
When you start to date “seriously,” you’re expected to have your partner as the center of your world — and you’ll judge them if you’re not the center of theirs. Suddenly, everything that matters to you (your job, your projects, your friends, your passions) must be less important than your relationship, which has to be the most important relationship you ever had. Your partner must be the most perfect person you’ve ever seen and loved, and you’ll be sad if they say otherwise about you. If you somehow imply that your partner is not a divine being, you’re a cold person.
Then, because of your insecurities, you feel entitled to judge what your partner does (this is not healthy, I know, but I’m talking about the usual way things go). You don’t like it when they hang out alone with people of the same gender as yours, or people who are more attractive than you, and the slightest interaction between your partner and a good-looking stranger is enough for you to want to read their private messages (and you’re still expected to keep a straight face when you say you trust them as if you’re telling the truth).
If you don’t expect to be with your partner forever, you’re using them. Forget the fact that life is unpredictable and relationships end, sometimes abruptly, for all kinds of reasons: you have to trick yourself into thinking you’ll actually be together for all eternity (and loving each other as much as you do now). You’re expected to live together, still enjoy sex with each other no matter how repetitive it gets, and, what baffles me more, make the effort to love each other.
I’m sorry, what? I get it, relationships are hard, but if I’m at a point where I have to “choose my partner every day” to continue being with them, is it not the time to look for somebody else? If you’re with someone because you like them so much, why would you want to continue being together when you like them so little you have to force yourself into liking them more?
I understand that human beings long for connection on an intimate level. I understand wanting a friend. I understand wanting sex. I understand wanting a best friend you have sex with, which is something people usually compare having a significant other to, but this comparison makes no sense to me because friends actually care about how you really feel instead of hoping you fulfill some fantasy they haven't managed to outgrow.

First, we have to say up front that it’s been a blast to see all the Nests you’ve been creating—honestly we’ve lost count of how many pictures we’ve posted on our team Slack channels of all the cool designs that you’ve been sharing with the community.
We’ve also been following your feedback about your experience with the Season so far, so the team wanted to share some insights about what’s coming up with the Season, your Nests, and the Nesting Challenge Board in the upcoming 0.25.5 update, and some of the long-term conversation around these for the future beyond the end of the Season.
Nests look too dark at night: We’ve adjusted the lighting to address that feedback, so your Nest should be a little bit easier to see when the stars are out.
Excessive bloom in dark areas: We got your reports about that too, and the update will have fixes to tone that down.
Items to unlock for currency in the Nesting Workshop were simultaneously featured to use in your Nest: Our apologies for that confusion! The items that are both in the Nesting Workshop lineup and featured in your Nest have been temporarily removed from the Nesting Workshop rotation until we can better clarify their availability. (We made the rotation change independent of the 0.25.5 release, so that’s already in effect. Meanwhile, the fix for making these items available in a clearer way will come at a later date, so we’ll keep you posted!)
Will the Heart rewards in the Nesting Guide’s Challenge Board remain free after the Season ends? Answer: yep! The Challenge Board isn’t limited to just the Season of Nesting, so the challenges and the rewards will remain available to complete and unlock at your own pace long after the Season is over. In 0.25.5, we’ll remove the timer that appears with the Challenge Board to make that clearer. We’ve also seen some folks ask about the Nesting Guide and what some of the story is with them. That’s a fair question, which we hope the upcoming Seasonal Quests can help answer.
We’re also including a feature that we’re hoping will spark inspiration for everyone—a toggle to view other Nests. It’s similar to the function that allows you to see a range of Shared Spaces when you’re at a Shared Space Shrine.
You’ll be able to “scroll” through a preview that favors your friends’ Nests while also showing Nests of other Sky children too. It’s just a preview, though, so you won’t see anyone in this view, and they won’t see anyone who might be viewing their Nest through this toggle either. It’s also not a Player Creation toggle, so it won’t include an option to send Hearts.
What you’ll see in the 0.25.5 update is the first version of this view feature. We want to use your feedback as we keep building on it, so once the next patch goes live and you get a chance to try it out, let us know what you think in the #live-feedback channel on our Discord server!

One thing we know: Sky kids should be cuter when they sit on furniture. The animation team has made this a reality, so once 0.25.5 comes, Sky kids will properly curl up, stretch out, and lounge on their favorite furniture.We’re also including a feature that we’re hoping will spark inspiration for everyone—a toggle to view other Nests. Other Nesting Ideas
The community has been really creative both with making some amazing Nests, and with sharing some great ideas and suggestions too. We wanted to touch on a few of those real quick. A couple suggestions we’ve seen is to add ways to specify how many of an item you want to get from the Nesting Workshop, and to add “save slots” so that you could have a couple different versions of your decorated Nest. We’ve also seen some players wanting to make their Nest a third option for a loading point in the game, alongside Home and Aviary Village.First of all, we love that you’ve liked your Nest so much that you want it to be your “home base” in the game! If nothing else, I'm blown away by how ambitious this team is. I am a little bit worried that they may be biting off more than they can chew with so many new systems on top of trying to deliver a solid game in its own right, but I respect the vision.
I know everyone is jazzed for Elden DLC and Black Myth Wukong (and I am, too), but I really want Enotria to be a surprise hit. I think it has the potential to be one. I'd love to live in a golden age of Souls-likes with Elden Ring, Lies of P, Black Myth Wukong, and Enotria: The Last Song.

If nothing else, I'm blown away by how ambitious this team is. I am a little bit worried that they may be biting off more than they can chew with so many new systems on top of trying to deliver a solid game in its own right, but I respect the vision.
I know everyone is jazzed for Elden DLC and Black Myth Wukong (and I am, too), but I really want Enotria to be a surprise hit. I think it has the potential to be one. I'd love to live in a golden age of Souls-likes with Elden Ring, Lies of P, Black Myth Wukong, and Enotria: The Last Song.

Hey, so I’m currently replaying my Gen 4/5 Pokemon games and I cannot get my ARDsi to work? It will not register it’s inserted in my DSi. I bought a cable to connect it to my laptop which will be here soon, but until then does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve had the AR for quite a few years but the last time I was able to use it was around 2017-2018 I think (unsure). My DSi is running version 1.4.5U if that helps!!

Hello everyone I hope you are all having a good day, to tell you the truth I am struggling alot right now. To put simply I just feel completely burnt out from my relationship, and I feel so on edge all the time worrying about it and my girlfriend who I do love.
Too add context I have been dating my GF for about 7 months now (but we have known eachother for 2 years now) and we have predominantly been a long distance relationship. She has significant trauma from childhood in the foster system as well as from her past relationship which was extremely abusive, as well as a severe heart condition (which has necessitated in me performing CPR on her numerous times). I care about her alot and I want to help her overcome her past and be a better person, but too be frank I don’t know if I can continue to support her without completely falling apart myself.
Likewise her past has led to her to develop some traits that are a little off putting such as having “no filter” which has definitely contributed to some hurtful things being said towards me during arguments as well as leading her to be a little lacking in empathy and trust especially towards individuals of the opposite sex to me. Likewise she is a little needy requiring me to spend hours of every night on facetime with her, the problem is we generally aren’t talking as she is scrolling through tik tok generally.
I am trying my best to help her as much as I can and I know she loves me so much, and does appreciate me, even if she doesn’t show it sometimes. My problem is everytime I check my phone to respond to a problem she is having or hear about so and so upset her I just feel more and more drained. The fact that I know 40-60% of the phone calls I have with her will end with me in a worse mood then when I answered. Then I have my own issues too and sometimes her lack of empathy, or when she points out something she has experienced is worst it just feels like my experiences aren’t valid. I feel trapped, I don’t get to spend as much time with friends or just generally socializing with people (she is very wary of strangers because of her past) including my family. Or I’ll be doing something that brings me joy like playing with my younger siblings or my favorite video game and she’ll make a comment about how much she wishes she had that dynamic with her sibling (who mostly just puts her down when he isn’t ignoring her) or how she doesn’t like whatever I’m playing.
Additionally she has some of the most toxic friends I have come to know and they would have never entered my life prior. Often with their drama effecting our relationship because she is pissed off that someone did x or y to her friend and ends up taking it out on me. Which there is a good chance when she is mad she’ll accidentally snap at me, so that leads me to basically just trying to figure out what she wants to hear. Then other things will go wrong such as her adoptive parents being overbearing and emotionally abusive with me feeling completely powerless to stop it. In one instance her parents were pestering her about how she is overweight (which she definitely is not, and is actually closer to underweight) and despite how much I tried too help boost her confidence she has ended up skipping meals and tracking her weight as she has made clear to let me know she is. That has honestly just made me feel like I failed to help her.
I have honestly let her get away with saying and doing things that have really hurt me that were it anyone else I would of ended the relationship, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because of her past. I just feel trapped in my relationship and honestly I am feeling alot of the symptoms associated with compassion fatigue as I feel like a therapist when I am not at all. I’m alot more irritable and quick to outbursts, much more so then I have been. Likewise my sleep has taken a massive hit as well as my ability to focus. It’s like I have a stabbing pain in my stomach as I am worried about something happening or her getting upset or hurt or something. More then anything I’m terrified that if I leave she’ll hurt herself, and if I bring up my issues I’m having now that’ll hurt her and she’ll probably do something to hurt me to get back at me the next time we fight. Too make matters worse I am storing my car with her as she lives close too my college since my home state is too far for me to drive it back and forth. Am I a selfish asshole for worrying about my mental health when this girl has had it much worse, do I keep giving her the benefit of the doubt because of it? Can I really help someone if I feel like it’s going to destroy me (and no she refuses formal therapy, nor would her adoptive parents allow for it).

Am I a selfish asshole for worrying about my mental health when this girl has had it much worse, do I keep giving her the benefit of the doubt because of it? Can I really help someone if I feel like it’s going to destroy me (and no she refuses formal therapy, nor would her adoptive parents allow for it).
