I’ve been reading recently about the recent fiasco with the Ligue 1 red picks. I myself stopped playing the game after the TOTY Messi incident, although I imagine that the recent incident is much more pervasive given the amount of time that the “glitched odds” were available.
In any case, I don’t need to rehash why the above mistakes are bad for the health of the game, which has been discussed in detail on this Reddit and by content creators (NickRTFM). Overall, we all understand that the gameplay has been very weak, the game has become increasingly pay to win (with the most ridiculous store packs in history), and there is no indication of reverse course on the part of EA.
If you want to actually affect meaningful change on EA, you need to stop playing the game entirely and uninstall it. I think this is particularly hard for the player base at this time because TOTS has been one of the most fun times to play FIFA in the past. This is of course not mentioning the addiction / rat race that many of the community suffer from, largely driven by the quasi-gambling aspect of packs. However, if you continue to support this game with your time (even with a points boycott), then EA’s player base metrics will still be favorable and they will see no reason to change course. If we all put this game down for one summer, kept it off our computers and consoles, then that would bring into question the potential impact on the next title in the developers eyes.
As I mentioned, I myself quit the game completely during TOTY after being a dedicated weekend league player for the preceding 2-3 years. I was also a regular points purchaser ($200-$300 per game cycle). Although there is no alternative football game of even remotely similar quality, there are plenty of games of other genres with strong development teams that would be more deserving of your time, money, and attention.
In short, the player base still has the power to change the game, but the most effective route would be a total boycott for the next 3-4 months (play no game play modes, not even pro clubs or kick off, and completely uninstall), which would send a strong message to EA ahead of next years game and force them to make changes. The timing is perfect because there is a competing FIFA branded title in development (which will likely be shit, let’s be real), which will place additional commercial pressure on EA to maintain its current near 100% market share. Needless to say, you should also not pre order or buy EA fc 25 unless EA publicly addresses these issues / commits to building a strong user experience.
TL;DR - uninstall EA FC now and take a few months long break if you want to force the developer to address core gameplay issues. They are nothing without the player base, so we should leave an impact on both their finances(boycott points and the new game), and their operational metrics (daily active users) for a meaningful period of time.

I travelled to Italy to get a new tattoo. Currently in London, going back to Canada tomorrow evening.
2 day session where after day 1 (Monday), an hour later my skin fell off due to sweat and had to wash it and generally did my best to keep it clean. Next session (Tuesday) finished up, new skin was applied. I removed the skin today (Thursday) and there was a slight smell (unsure if from infect or just sweat since I hadn’t showered since I missed my flight), and it is warm and red and has some bumps.
Worried my tattoo might be infected, but I acknowledge that I am generally very paranoid and anxious about my health, so I genuinely do not know if I’m overreacting or whether this is a genuine concern.
I could really use some help from a pro to know whether I should go to a doctor NOW or if I’m okay to wait a few days until I’m back in Canada where it won’t cost me to see a doctor or if I don’t even need to see a doctor at all.
Also please note, I am not eligible for regular healthcare in Canada so I have a private plan, but that private plan is not provincial healthcare so it does not cover me for out of country anything, hence my concerns regarding whether I can wait a day or two or if this is indeed urgent enough to see a doctor.
I really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Before installing all my stuff, would you recommend updating or not? Might sounds stupid but I prefer asking as it's a 7 years old MacBook so maybe it's not a great idea to get latest os.. I don't know.

Important note- this clinic is run by elderly nuns.
Lisa runs through a series of questions to Mary and interprets her answers for Margaret. We know from the meeting prior without Mary that she has fled her country due to an abusive partner. It's our job as a team to not only fill out her application but also literally write her life story as an affidavit. Her details of the reasons she fled are sparse but unfortunately they need to be fleshed out . We get through the application, no problem. It's getting late and we agree to ask her to write out her life details and email them to the interpreter to translate and then next week I will work on her affadavit. Mary agrees . Before we end the session, I ask her if she needs food, clothing or healthcare. Lisa interprets the question and Mary just starts crying. We have no idea why this question triggered this. Turns out she's pregnant.
Now all the elderly sisters come over to see what's happening. Mary calms down after a bit , after we reassure her she's in a safe space and we get her information for a trauma counselor.

From my own example, I can say one thing. I use my iPad Pro to read books and articles, watch various types of video content, and draw at a beginner level. The display, whose diagonal is as much as 12 inches, is perfect for simple tasks.
In 2024, it still works great. This is exactly my task. I don't play recreational games. I don't use intensive processing applications. Sometimes I can only quickly correct something in my videos (shot on an iPhone 7 plus) and in general, nothing else.
It works on iOS 16.7 and I'm very happy with it. Stable, lightweight, without braking.
In conclusion, I can say for sure that this particular one deserves to take an honorable place among the available “old” flagships. All funds spent will work out completely in the hands of an undemanding user.
