I work for a local news station which is owned by a very large media company. I offer TV and Digital Marketing to local business with some National Accounts.
As I’m sure you know, we’ve seen tremendous growth and success in the OTT space. A Comscore article noted a 43% increase in Streaming Households YoY while cable continues to see record declines. Which is great, but, again, everyone has an OTT platform these days.
In 2020, 26% of homes were cordless. Today 52% of homes ARE cordless!
The company I work for planted their flag in the medium long ago.
Other than that I just don’t understand how our station will sustain. There isn’t a huge commission on the digital solutions.
After Covid local tv has been a tough sale. Some of us still finding success but there is this grey cloud approaching and I am worried about my marketing career.
Could you advise any roles or companies that I should research? I am interested in growing as a marketer and I don’t want to fall behind. I would like your suggestions on what types of jobs could be a good fit for me.

I have been running a home business for 3.5 years and a few days ago Google told me my business does not exist and my business account is being disabled. That means I am out of business.
I submitted an appeal and sent in a photo of my state sales tax ID, which includes my name, the business name, and the address. They denied the appeal and I can not find where to send a new one.
Am I just boned?
Is there a way to speak to a human about this?
I don't even know what triggered this. Was it a disgruntled customer? A competitor? Google seeing something they didn't like when the street-view car came by?

I live in Ontario, I owe FRO (Family Responsibility Office) newlry $16,000. This is not due to neglect, I got hit with a lot of back payments from a job I don't work at anymore. Where I made a good 95k annually.
I chose this option hoping I could see my daughter more..it only backfired on me. I don't get to see her anymore and I can't afford to keep going back to court, I have a sick mother and sister, I have to be there for full time basically.
Anyway..enough about that..I am $16,000 in CS debt. I can't get a license to get a better job, I can't rent an apartment due to hard credit checks, I can't get loans to pay this off apparently, my credit is now 611, finding a job is near impossible now with so much immigration, so I work from home on commissions and ecommerce sales. It's basically 50-1 now compared to 5 years ago trying to find a job (I am not against immigration, I am just referring to growth in population).
I am afraid if I don't pay this I'll be thrown in jail. I need to be free of this stress.
If an advisor, someone with my experiences even. Anyone who KNOWS what they are talking about. Please answer.
Do NOT insult me please. My truth is my own, I love my daughter, I want her in my life by any mean necessary. I will attempt to chip away at this as much as possible. I don't need to be told I am a dead beat for owing child support. I have always paid and supported what I could her entire life. Even with that, courts only see numbers and statements. Please be respectful.

Can I pay off my child support in Ontario via debt consolidation?
Where could I possibly get a loan based on my situation?

Walmart, which remains America’s largest employer despite Amazon’s rise to the status of world’s largest online seller, announced on May 14 that it will let go hundreds of its corporate staff and require the majority of those of its 1.6 million employees working remotely to return to the office, some four years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
... Nevertheless, no one should imagine that Walmart is tightening its belt out of being faced with lean times. As an “essential business,” no one fared better under the lockdowns than Walmart, whose net sales, for instance, grew by 10.5 percent in the first quarter of the pandemic in 2020, its e-commerce sales skyrocketing by 74 percent. The overall retail market, by comparison, declined by nearly 3 percent in that period. Walmart, in fact, was the only retailer with net income growth during the first quarter of 2o2o.
Its new personnel decision means that most Walmart employees in Dallas, Atlanta, and even Toronto will be required to relocate to Bentonville, Arkansas, the firm’s birthplace and headquarters, where a 350-acre complex is being constructed featuring a child care center, a hotel, a 360,000-square-foot health center and gym, a dining hall, and a 37-mile walking-and-biking trail.
But some 82 percent of American workers said during the lockdowns that after the pandemic they wanted to work remotely at least once a week, preferably half the time, while only 8 percent didn’t wish to work at home frequently; 19 percent wanted to work at home all the time, according to a survey of 1,100 by the Global Workplace Analytics consulting firm.
Further findings show that if not permitted to work from home after the pandemic, 54 percent would remain with that employer but would be less willing to “walk the extra mile,” while 46 percent would seek another job, according to a 2020 survey by Massachusetts-based videoconferencing firm Owl Labs. In 2016, Gallup found that 35 percent of employees would be willing to change jobs in order to work from home full time, 37 percent if it was to work remotely some of the time. Owl Labs found in 2019 that more than a third of workers would take a pay cut of 5 percent to work from home some of the time while a quarter would take a 10 percent pay cut and 20 percent of employees would take an even bigger reduction in salary. Employers oftentimes may only be hurting themselves by denying their employees’ strong, justifiable preference to work remotely.

Finding it hard dealing with my girlfriend working away all the time, staying in hotels with a lot of men that she works with as it’s a sales role. I am battling constantly whilst she’s there and now it’s time for her to come home, I am the one that is exhausted and I feel like saying I don’t want to see you.
I can’t tell if it’s me blaming her for the pain that my mind is putting me through and I don’t want to see her, pushing her away. Or if I’m actually exhausted from this whole experience.
Does anyone else have any tips dealing with jealousy like this??
