I just beat my first full Kaizo ROM hack (SM74 Ten Years After v3.74) + my review
Ok, so on May 26th 2024, I got all the stars after 31 hours + 3 more I had on another save file, and let me tell you what, it was quite a rollercoaster of an adventure, so here I'll just review my overall experience of it
C1 Dice Domain: (9/10) It was a nice beginning course that felt welcoming for people who are just getting started on easier Kaizo hacks, like sure, it feels a bit different from the original source material, and that can be great, as it gives a player something kinda new, so overall, it's a solid level without it being intimidating, and it's just a nice little warmup for me, someone who's trying Kaizos for the first time
C2 Concrete Jungle: (8.5/10) This is also a pretty solid course, and although, the red coin star was replaced in this version, it was still a solid experience without them, and the stars still felt like a nice little warmup. Also, there was that one heave-ho trick I had to know about, so yeah, I didn't know at the time, and instead went the long way on top to slide and jumped to the star, which involved me finding a bug where I get soft locked on the slope, but again, still quite a solid level with interesting design choices
C3 Wallowing Wells: (8/10) This is a great mashup of C3 from SM74 and EE, and even though I'm not the biggest fan of water levels, you actually have faster swimming, and it's way better than what I tried in EE, I mean, I had a good time getting the stars and the 100 coins even, then you have the waterless mode star which is a good test of your platforming skills, and even though a fell down a few times, it's actually not near as bad as what you had to do in EE, and it was quite enjoyable, so still a nice mashup that doesn't feel like a difficulty spike out of nowhere, but still slightly trickier than the first two courses
Underground Slide: (7.5/10) Now, here's the first little difficulty spike in the hack, so this one had me dying a bit on the slide's reds, and yeah I died at the end to that stupid pillar. Also, to get that first star in the metal cap switch, I decided to take the long route instead of doing the skip, I dunno why, but anyway, near the end of that section kinda felt like a chokepoint, but I mean, it's not bad, and I liked how they replaced the Mario Party minigame music with the underground theme from Yoshi's Island, which is quite fitting with the redesign, so overall, even if it's a bit of a difficulty spike early in the game, I still did like my experience with it quite a bit, and I like the new aesthetic of it
B1 Bowser's Park Party: (9/10) I actually like what they did with this version, they made it feel a bit different by making it like an island in the sky, and the stars were just pretty fun overall, like the one metal cap star was an interesting because of the way you go inside the building to get it, and the key section felt free because of the metal cap safety net, but there was that one part where you had to do oddly precise lava bounces, I don't know why LinCrash made it that way, but I'm not gonna question it, and it was an enjoyable experience all the way through
C4 Bogey Bayou: (8/10) I thought this course was pretty fun, but there was that one pit with Bubbas with the red coins that were a bit risky to get due to the relentless nature of them, however, the rest of this course had some solid stars in it, like there was one star where you have the entrance to a secret lava section, and due to the Parallel Lakitu cam, you didn't have to do blind guesswork, so that's nice, but yeah, the actual secret entrance star was just free, nothing else to say about that one, but even though the 100 coins took me longer than it should've, I actually had quite a fun time platforming on rooftops over some deadly quicksand sludge
C5 Flamework Factory: (8.5/10) An interesting course with tunnels that leads you to other stars and parts of the level, and honestly, I liked how it felt sort of like nice little puzzle with a couple of stars requiring certain caps to traverse to the other section, and in the current version, the tunnels just warp you to that certain room, I don't really mind the change that much because it doesn't really decrease the difficulty that much, so overall, another solid experience when I knew the places I needed to go for certain stars.
MC Aerial Alpine: (9/10) I love what they did with the metal cap stage from the original EE, they turned it into a snow level, and now it's a lot more enjoyable, and even though this current version replaced the red coin star, it was still a nice chill stage, no pun intended, and the stars felt like nice little warmup sections that I had a pretty good time with, even though they replaced the metal cap section with a shell riding one, so that actually felt a bit more fun to do, since I'm actually good with the shell
VC Dusty Darkness: (6.5/10) Now, this is the first level that started giving me a bit of problems, like there's this one star where I had to jump down to a walljumping section, and I actually had to turn up the brightness on my monitor to see where I was, and even then, I kept on getting caught on the one wall because the collision is weird, and I missed my jump quite a bit because of it, but once I learned to stop touching the wall, it wasn't as bad, and there was one more star that gave me slight problems, but that one at least didn't have bad collision, and the other stars were actually quite decent, so yeah, definitely not a great level at all, but not that bad
WC Lava Pit of Inversion: (7.5/10) Yeah, it's just a chill wing cap course that doesn't feel special at all, it was just like the original, except flipped upside down, I mean, the stars were satisfying to get, however, could've done something more creative with it, but I mean, it still is quite a decent experience
C6 Stalactite Cave: (8/10) This is yet another water stage, and again, I'm not the biggest fan of them, but this one actually was kinda interesting, even though this course got the Drowned Factory treatment. This course seemed quite solid with this one platforming section above water that is slightly tricky, but quite fun to do, and I liked that one part where you had to get a Chuckya from the cage below and clip behind a wall to get that one star, so yeah, nice rendition of course 6 that had completely different stars, and it was not bad to navigate at all
C7 Crumble Rumble Tower: (8/10) I really do like the aesthetic of this course, and I enjoyed the climb to the top with the 5 secrets, it's actually kinda fun doing those ledgegrabs near the top, even when there were those clouds that blew you off the course, and the 100 coins were fun to get, except there was that one sketchy red coin you had to get a walljump off of, but it was still a bit of fun nonetheless, and the King Whomp bossfight is actually not bad, even though it was sand, but you actually had more of a platform to work with, so yeah, overall, solid course with only a couple parts that made me go "meh"
C8 Absolute Zeroasis: (6.5/10) Yeah, this is a course I didn't enjoy as much due to that red coins maze with freezing water, and the camera not being the greatest, along with that one spiral pyramid star that was quite a bit annoying to get, but if you set aside that, the 100 coins and other stars are actually decent, so overall, it's not that bad, but yeah, wasn't really a fan of a couple stars
C9 Nature Nocturne: (8/10) This is actually a solid rendition of Course 9, I liked the music in it, it was a nice vibe from Yoshi's Story, and I liked the red coins in it, there was some enjoyable platforming on top of wood planks, and it's interesting going under the flower field to get this one secret, even though you had to go back to get the star, but I really like the idea of it, and yeah, the star under the bridge I could've gotten by using the switch, but I did it the hard way, which took me dozens of tries, but overall, what a solid remake
B2 Bowser's Tidal Tropics: (6.5/10) So yeah, this is the first level that actually made me rage a bit, but before I get into that, I will say that I love the Koopa Troopa Beach music in this course, it really compliments the theme of it, and 4 of the stars in there were just kind of a nice experience, but that one star where you had to do the firsties at the right angle, even though, thankfully it's not quicksand this time, it's water, it still proved to be quite a bit annoying, but it was satisfying once I pulled it off, and now, the key part was what really started getting to me because at the beginning, I felt like I had to do the one firstie so that I can have just the right height land on the platform without getting grabbed by the Chuckya, and that gets annoying because every time a failed on those angled timed boxes, I have to start front the beginning, but I realized, I did that part the hard way, so my experience with this could've went a lot smoother, if it weren't for that, but still, not the greatest experience due to it deriving from the EE version of this stage, however, the stars before the key section were overall not bad, and again, that key section made me quite a bit angry, but the rest of it was actually not bad, it was just a matter of getting past those couple things I mentioned earlier
C10 Quicksand Beach: (9/10) After the last stage, this one was actually quite chill, the stars were actually quite enjoyable to get, like the red coins were fun to shell jump up to get in the middle of the quicksand, and thank God LinCrash decided to have 100 coins nerfed because in the older versions of SM74, you had to get all the blue coins like near frame perfect, and you had to slowly push all the bullies into that one tiny lava pit, but this version, really made it chill, and at first, I thought the stars you had to get by going into the quicksand tunnel we're gonna be a pain, but actually, the Parallel Lakitu cam worked out in my favor, and I actually enjoyed going down there, so this yet is another nice and solid experience
C11 Polluted Pond: (7/10) So, it's the level with one of the stars I dreaded, the star where you have to do walljump crossovers over a platform with quicksand, but I really surprised myself here, as it only took me a few tries, and I actually never died to the quicksand itself, I just failed at the last crossover a few times, so this might've been just a fluke, but yeah, while the rest of the level wasn't the greatest due to having to climb back up out of the toxic sand below, and it took me so long to find the last red coin for some reason, although, it still has quite a bit of fun platforming here and there, but on that one hideout star where you kinda have tight window for those timed boxes, it was mildly annoying when I hit that arrow leading me to it, however, after that is not that bad, just one sketchy jump, so overall, not really a great course, but the platforming was a bit of fun to do
C12 Cliff of Time: (8/10) Now this is an interesting one because this is like the first time that we see two versions of a course that you get to switch between depending on the star, and I mean, I enjoyed getting these stars, they were quite a bit unique from each other, and yeah, the red coins weren't really as bad as I thought, it was just that one sketchy walljump ledgegrab I had to do to get to the rest of the course, and every time you started the harder version of this course, you had to do a firstie to even start it, which is not that annoying at all, and just meh, but the same went for some of the red coins, however, you did have quite a bit of room for error before the timer ran out, so this course overall has cool concepts, and it felt quite fair
C13 Sea Salt Peaks: (5/10) Now, most of this course felt a bit free, and Koopa the Quick is still slow, this was just a fine level, but oh my God, the Hot Arch Crossing star really brings down the experience because it was so annoying with those firespitters while having to do more precise walljump crossovers three times in a row, and one where you have to do kind of a precise triple jump to get to the last crossover, like that star genuinely made me just rage, and I never wanna touch it again, although the 100 coins were quite a bit scarce
C14 Veninium Sphere: (8.5/10) Now this course was quite fun, and I actually like how LinCrash designed the course to have more gaps in it to make up for the nerfs he did, so it still didn't feel too easy for what it was, and the climb was quite satisfying, but the one small flaw I had was with the first star Tower of the South, and that is when I just got through the hall of angled walljumps, I would sometimes miss the star because I couldn't exactly tell where it is in that hole in the ceiling, but I mean, I feel like that one was just on me, although, the rest of the level was very good, and the red coins didn't feel daunting at all to get, so overall, it was quite an enjoyable experience
C15 Delombru Sphere: (8.5/10) Same as the last course, the climb was quite satisfying to do, but this course felt a bit more convoluted to me because there was that one sideways tower that I didn't know I could reach with a triple jump until I tried it, and there was that one Dungeon Dominance star where I didn't think that precise walljump ledgegrab was intended, yet it was, but it wasn't actually that bad, and thank God that one crazy Tower of the North star was changed into an amp obstacle course because in the old versions, you had to do really precise walljumps consistently without ledgegrabbing, and the 100 coins and 8 reds were actually pretty satisfying to get on only like what, my 4th attempt? I mean, you got those two sketchy red coins at the beginning, but after that, it was nice and smooth sailing because I just crushed it, I genuinely thought I was gonna fumble more on that, but glad I didn't, however, the Morbid Deadly Puzzle star was still pretty tough because it's like closer to EE difficulty than any other star here, and I will not forgive that one Snifit that killed me one time when I was getting far into that star, but it was quite satisfying once I finally got the star at the end, so overall, a well designed course with a challenge that will prove to be pretty difficult, but comes with a satisfying reward at the end
Void of the East: (8/10) Now this was quite a tough and challenging star, and that one angled walljump off the pillar and tower right next to it is kinda what made the challenge even moreso, but good thing you can come up with a good routing method for this star to not feel like as much of a drag, so for me, the metal cap lava bounce secret was the easiest, so I did that last, and yeah, to get off that one rooftop, it sucked when I just couldn't make the jump with the wrong angle, but as I did the right angle, it wasn't as bad, and the rest of the course is actually fun, so once it got consistent, it was quite enjoyable, and I was thoroughly satisfied after getting that star
B3 Bowser's Rainbow Realm: (6/10) Yeah, I didn't enjoy opening the cannon in this stage that much at all, I just hated having to do those angled wall kicks over the first lava section at every attempt I had at opening the cannon, but good thing that you didn't have to do three of those in a row, just one of them, and the amp section was just a bit annoying because I had to be careful with my jumps, while having to deal with the possibility of the firespitter getting me, as for the second lava section that first jump was quite sketchy to make, but right after that, the section was definitely better than the first one. There was also that Heave-ho on the third section that killed me at least a couple times, and it felt like a slap to the face when that happened to me, but when I opened the cannon, I felt quite a bit relieved, and the other stars were actually a bit enjoyable, despite me wanting to get to Grandmaster's Goal that final day, like the secrets had some decent platforming, but it was just a slight flaw that I couldn't properly see that one opening to getting that 5 secrets star, however, I got the right angle at some point, and now the 8 red coins were actually quite decent, it felt like a good break, but there were a couple red coins that seemed slightly sketchy, but we're not bad at all, however, I will say, wasn't really the biggest fan of getting on those steep slopes, as they felt fast, and I had to make sure my angle to get on them was good or else I'd fall down due to no ledgegrabs, but it was alright, and yeah, I accidentally got that one caged Banjo Tooie cartridge star while getting the red coins, but after that, there was one more kind of annoying star I had to get with that risky platforming on the walls of the amp section, and the final fight was just Bowser, but the bombs were oddly closer than the original, don't know why LinCrash made them like that, but whatever, it's fine, so overall, yeah, this stage can get quite frustrating when you are trying to open the cannon, but after that, it's not bad at all, it actually got quite a bit fun, although, the music felt a bit repetitive NGL
Grandmaster's Goal: (8/10) This was a pretty good gauntlet at the end, but oh my God it's quite nerve-wracking I got closer to the end, and when I died a couple times at those cones in the Cliff of Wrath part, it was a bit disappointing, but as I noticed that I was getting more consistent with the other parts, the confidence built within me, and in this current version, they added a heart at the walljump crossover section, and oh man, I really needed it, even though it nerfs the endurance test a bit, I still appreciated it, and yeah, the metal cap section was still a chokepoint because of that one walljump ledgegrab, and at the beginning of me doing this gauntlet, I kept dying at the Stalagmite Cave slide part, even though I shouldn't have because it's easy when I got the angle right, but yeah, overall, this gauntlet was pretty well put together, but yeah, there are a couple parts that are easily chokeable and can be roadblocks to your success. Oh and one thing I forgot, the other two Grandmaster's Goal stars, they were a bit easy to get, like you could just do a skip to save time for the "speedrun" star, and there was that one hidden star that was fairly easy to find, so those two stars were essentially before the real deal, and they were kinda cool to get
In conclusion, my first Kaizo experience definitely had times where I got quite a bit frustrated, but in the end, I'm glad I beat this as my hardest ROM hack, and the experience was definitely worthwhile, so I decided to post this review here to share my experience

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/pejxzkurea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39d69d95ea8bc434d5a7c66d99ba114b2ae59a45
Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Black Ir-E Crossbow Scope with LED Illumination

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗High-Quality 25-75x70 Spotting Scope with Phone Adapter

In my pursuit of a new spotting scope that could enhance my wildlife viewing and target shooting experiences, I stumbled upon the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes. From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed by its sleek exterior and sturdy construction.
One feature that stood out to me was its range of magnification capabilities - the SV28 allowed me to adjust the magnification according to my target distance, providing crystal clear image quality. The lens was exceptionally sharp, making it perfect for both target shooting and observing nature. Another aspect I appreciated was the ease of focus adjustment, ensuring that every detail was visible no matter the distance.
However, I have to say that the tripod that came with the unit seemed a bit lackluster compared to my usual tripod. I ended up using my own sturdier tripod, but it was still nice to have the option included in the package. Additionally, while the phone adapter was a nice addition, I felt it could have been more user-friendly.
Overall, the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes exceeded my expectations, offering outstanding clarity and exceptional value for its price. Though there were a few minor quibbles, I would definitely recommend it to others in search of a reliable, affordable spotting scope for their outdoor adventures.

In the world of optics, the Athlon Optics Ares G2 UHD 20-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope has made a name for itself. It's not just for the birders spotting variances in plumage from far away or for the precision shooters who aim for targets at 1,000 yards, the scope's extra-low dispersion glass provides vivid clarity and resolution in a full-size spotting scope.
Athlon has cleverly designed it to be lightweight although strong, making it comfortable to carry and use for long periods. The aluminum alloy chassis adds to its strength without making it too heavy. With its twist-up eye-cup, it allows you to set the eyecup to the perfect eye relief for your eyes, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.
Its ESP Dielectric Coating gives you an advantage in viewing with an image that has little or no chromatic fringe for the clearest and sharpest image. The UHD Glass in the lens helps in converging refracting colors into one focus point, producing greater contrast, sharpness, and color definition.
Reflecting over 99% of the light to your eyes, the scope brings you a clear, bright image and accurate color reproduction, thanks to the BaK4 Prisms coupled with advanced fully multi-coated lenses. It produces perfect brightness and color across the entire light spectrum, making viewing under different lighting conditions a breeze.
And when it comes to durability, the scope doesn't disappoint. It comes with an extra protective layer coating that keeps the exterior of the lens free from dirt and scratches. It's also Argon Purged and Waterproof, ensuring weatherproof performance even in harsh conditions. Purging allows for better waterproofing/fogging, making sure your scope doesn't fog up when you switch environments.
Overall, it's a joy to use this spotting scope. It's not just about viewing in high detail but also the ease it offers in using it. You won't be disappointed with its performance and features.

🔗Athlon Optics Talos 20-60x80 Spotting Scope - High-Performance, Fully Multi-Coated Waterproof Sc scope

I recently got a chance to use the Athlon Optics Talos 20-60x80 Spotting Scope, and I must say I was quite impressed with its performance. To begin with, the scope is surprisingly lightweight, which makes it perfect for outdoor use. Its waterproof feature is an added bonus, allowing me to use it in harsh weather conditions without any worries.
One of the standout features of this spotting scope is its fully multi-coated lenses, which provide incredible light transmission, resulting in bright and clear images. This feature is particularly useful for birdwatching or spotting objects in the distance.

This buyer's guide will help you make an informed decision and get the most out of your 22 Scope.

Caliber

https://preview.redd.it/n7ccc48yea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=937243e0940e3e26c4fea42099a615b67042b9c9
The most common caliber for 22 Scope is the. 22 Long Rifle (LR). However, there are other options like the. 22 Magnum (Maj) and. 22 WMR (Winchester Rimfire). When choosing a caliber, consider factors such as recoil, velocity, and bullet type. The. 22 LR has the least recoil and is suitable for beginners or those who prefer a more gentle firing experience. The. 22 Magnum offers greater velocity and energy, making it ideal for hunting or long-range shooting.

Barrel Length

The 22 Scope barrel length can range from 16 inches to 26 inches. The shorter barrels offer more maneuverability, especially in tight spaces or for use in a defensive setting. Longer barrels provide increased accuracy and velocity. For hunting or target shooting, a 20-22 inches barrel is generally recommended, providing a good balance between accuracy, velocity, and maneuverability.

Action

The action of a 22 Scope can be bolt-action, semi-automatic, or pump-action. Bolt-action rifles offer a reliable, easy-to-use mechanism and are suitable for hunting or target shooting. Semi-automatic rifles provide faster follow-up shots, making them a popular choice for competitive shooting or hunting where a rapid shot sequence is desired. Pump-action rifles are also known for their reliability and quick follow-up shots, often preferred for self-defense purposes.

Other Features to Consider

  • Stock material and design
  • Sight options (such as iron sights, open sights, or scopes)
  • Trigger pull weight
  • Safety features
  • Finish and overall build quality

Maintenance and Storage

Regularly maintaining and storing your 22 Scope can extend its lifespan and ensure reliable performance. After each shooting session, clean the rifle thoroughly, checking for any damage or wear. Store the rifle in a secure, dry place away from extreme temperature or humidity fluctuations. Regular cleaning and proper storage help maintain accuracy and prevent corrosion.
The 22 Scope is a versatile and reliable choice for various shooting activities. By considering factors such as caliber, barrel length, and action, you can select the best 22 Scope for your specific needs. Always prioritize safety and accuracy, and with proper maintenance, your 22 Scope will provide reliable and enjoyable shooting experiences for years to come.

The various adjustments it offered, ranging from sun shades to interchangeable ring pins, truly allowed me to build the perfect scope for my M1A.
One component that stood out in my experience was the Doc's Choice lens, which provided me with excellent clarity and brightness control in a variety of lighting settings. The ambidextrous design was a nice touch, ensuring that the scope could be used comfortably by both right and left-handed shooters alike.
However, there was a downside to this product's versatility - the vast array of customizable options could be overwhelming for someone new to the world of archery. Additionally, the stainless steel rod and T Connector, while functional, seemed a bit rough around the edges compared to other high-quality accessories I've used.
Overall, the Axcel AVX-31 Scope Lens Combo is a great option for experienced archers looking for a fully customizable scope system. However, those new to the sport may find it a bit too complex and finicky for their liking. Despite its minor flaws, this scope proved to be a valuable asset in my daily shooting routine.

🔗Precision 22 Rifle Scope for Enhanced Optics

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Feather Vision Verde Vitri Lens 1 3/8 Multi Scope 4X. This lens has become a valuable addition to my equipment, providing a clearer image than flat glass in various conditions. One of the highlights is the AR coating, which improves light transmission and makes it easier on the eyes. The specific curve structure is also a game-changer, making it fit a variety of scopes such as HHA, Viper 3D, and more.
However, there was a slight challenge when it came to adjusting the magnification level from 4x to 6x. I had to learn how to focus on the target first before looking through the peep sight to avoid losing sight. But once I got the hang of it, the lens provided a clear view of the target, even at over 40 yards.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Feather Vision Verde Vitri Lens to anyone looking for a high-quality lens at a reasonable price. It's definitely worth the investment for the clarity it provides.

Buyer's Guide

A 22 riflescope is an essential accessory for any 22 caliber rifle, offering enhanced accuracy and precision. They come in various styles, from fixed power to variable power, designed for different shooting scenarios. In this buyer's guide, we will discuss the key features and considerations when choosing a 22 riflescope.

Fixed Power vs. Variable Power

https://preview.redd.it/8pwgso7gea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4db99a66ef39b36bff7393f4d29c13c39d14f4b9
Fixed power riflescopes have a constant magnification, while variable power riflescopes allow you to adjust the magnification. Fixed power scopes are easier to use and more reliable, making them suitable for beginners or for close-range shooting. On the other hand, variable power scopes are more versatile and offer greater adaptability for different shooting situations. They are ideal for long-range shooting or hunting.

Magnification and Optical Quality

The magnification of a 22 riflescope refers to the amount of enlargement you can achieve through the scope. A higher magnification will provide a clearer, more detailed image, but it may also make the scope heavier and more expensive. When choosing a 22 riflescope, consider the magnification range that best suits your shooting needs. Additionally, pay attention to the optical quality, including lens clarity and light transmission. This will ensure a bright, sharp image in various lighting conditions.

Field of View and Eye Relief

Field of view (FOV) refers to the width of the area you can see through the scope at a given magnification. A larger FOV allows for a broader view and quicker target acquisition, which might be preferable in close-range shooting. Eye relief, on the other hand, is the distance between the shooter's eye and the scope. A comfortable eye relief is essential for preventing eye strain and ensuring a clear sight picture.

Reticle and Illumination

The reticle is the pattern of lines or crosshairs within the scope that helps you aim at the target. Different reticles offer various holding points for different shooting scenarios. Illuminated reticles are helpful for low-light shooting, providing a glowing dot or crosshair that can be adjusted for brightness. When choosing a 22 riflescope, consider the reticle's style and illumination options that suit your shooting preferences.

Durability and Weather Resistance

A high-quality 22 riflescope should be durable and resistant to harsh weather conditions. Look for a scope with a strong, waterproof construction and fog-resistant lenses. This ensures that your scope will remain functional in different environments and withstand accidental drops or impacts.

Price and Value

https://preview.redd.it/xn8bxf4hea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85c27aa892e752f3cdfde4142b050e0984446531
The price of a 22 riflescope can vary significantly depending on its features and performance. When comparing prices, consider the quality, durability, and usefulness of the scope. A more expensive scope may offer advanced features, increased accuracy, and a longer lifespan, but it may not be necessary for a casual shooter or hunter. Choose a scope that provides the best value for your budget and shooting needs.
Choosing the right 22 riflescope involves considering various factors, including fixed power or variable power, magnification, optical quality, field of view, eye relief, reticle and illumination, durability, weather resistance, and price. By focusing on your individual shooting requirements and preferences, you can find a 22 riflescope that enhances your shooting experience and provides the best value for your investment.

FAQ

What is a 22 Riflescope?

A 22 Riflescope is a type of rifle scope designed specifically for use with. 22 caliber rifles. These scopes are typically smaller and lighter than other rifle scopes, making them ideal for hunters and target shooters who use smaller firearms.

https://preview.redd.it/ym7g87ihea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e070b230d7ebfb9b2a19b3fd16b261f0d961a7b9

What are some key features to look for in a 22 Riflescope?

  • Magnification: Look for a scope with a magnification range that suits your shooting needs, usually between 2-16x.
  • Reticle: Choose a reticle that provides easy aiming and holds over points for your specific shooting application.
  • Lens Quality: Opt for a scope with high-quality lenses for clear, bright images.
  • Waterproof and Fogproof: A scope with these features will ensure your scope remains functional in various weather conditions.

What is the best 22 Riflescope for hunting?

The best 22 Riflescope for hunting will depend on your specific needs and preferences. Some popular options include the Vortex Optics Diamondback HP 2-7x32, Leupold VX-2 2-7x33, and Nikon P-Rimfire BDC 2-7x35.

What is the best 22 Riflescope for target shooting?

For target shooting, consider the Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32, Leupold VX-2 2-7x33, or the Nikon P-Rimfire BDC 2-7x35. Each of these scopes offers accurate tracking and holds over points, making them ideal for target shooting.

What is the difference between a 22 Riflescope and a general-purpose rifle scope?

The main differences between a 22 Riflescope and a general-purpose rifle scope lie in their size, weight, and magnification ranges. General-purpose rifle scopes are typically larger and heavier, while 22 Riflescopes are smaller and lighter, making them more suitable for use with smaller firearms.

Can I mount a 22 Riflescope on a larger caliber rifle?

While it is possible to mount a 22 Riflescope on a larger caliber rifle, it may not be the most optimal solution. Larger scopes are generally more stable and provide better image quality, which can improve your shooting accuracy. It is recommended to use a general-purpose rifle scope on larger caliber rifles.

Do I need a different scope for different shooting distances?

Yes, it is recommended to choose a scope with a suitable magnification range for the shooting distances you will be engaging. For example, if you primarily shoot at close ranges, a lower magnification scope might be more practical, while a higher magnification scope would be better suited for longer-range shooting.

2024.05.29 05:24 katiekabooms Bat in the house MIA

I've actually frequented this sub before just to read as at my current home we have lots of bats outside and my kids and I think they're cool, but now I have a question. Bare with my longwinded self.
We bought a home and closed on it about a week ago. My kids and I went and spent some time there wandering the house last Wednesday, saw nothing unusual. My oldest son is disabled so he stayed home but my youngest is 6 so if she definitely would have told me if she saw anything. My best friend stayed late into the night building furniture and then went home. She went back Thursday night and at around midnight texted me "THERE'S A BIRD FLYING AROUND IN THE HOUSE!" Needless to say it wasn't a bird, lol. My husband drove over and trapped the bat in a bathroom and we called animal control who said we will be right there and never came. My husband finally gave up and came home to our current home.
He went back the next morning with supplies to catch the bat and surprise, bat was gone. He's been at the house every day and night since (this was on Saturday morning) looking high and low, no bat. We had a company that specializes in bats come investigate our whole home today and found nothing. No entry points on the roof, chimney is airtight and the flue was closed. The attic was pristine with zero signs of any animals, however there are 5 vents in the attic that are not bat proofed (remedying that next week) AND the stupid appraisal company had left the large wall panel that screws on OFF of the wall.
Long story somewhat shorter, this guy could have taken a wrong turn into the attic vents and gotten lost or I guess could have just as easily gotten in while the sellers were moving out. No one is sleeping at the home so thankfully no exposures, but how long do I have to worry about my kids turning and corner and running into a bat?
Could he still potentially be hiding in the house? Did he crawl into a vent and die? Where's the damn bat guys. Where's the bat. 🤣 We won't be sleeping at the house for another 3 weeks but I would really love to not have to take anyone for rabies shots!

2024.05.29 04:55 Ok_Initiative7719 To whom should I complain about mature maple tree removal?

I rent in Markham, and today someone from the city of Markham showed up and said that the neighbours got a court order to remove five mature maple trees that are on our property. They are really beautiful trees, probably over 60 years old, with a lot of birds using them. They are about four to five storeys tall, really amazing trees.
I called my landlord and he explained that the neighbours who bought the property are very wealthy. He has been trying to fight them to save the trees for over 5 years, but each time they would take him to court again. In the end he didn't have enough money to pay the lawyers, while the neighbours got very fancy lawyers, and he lost the case.
The neighbours want to build a house that is larger than allowed by by-laws, but they already got the permit approved.
I think it's horrible that the City of Markham allows this - removal of five 60-70 year old maple trees from the neighboring property just because some people have more money for a lawyer. And yes, the trees are on my landlord's property, that is outlined in the building permit, and it states that in the court order. They are just inconvenient for the neighbours during construction, so they will have them removed.
So.. to whom should I complain about this? MP? I want more people to know about this situation as I think it's ridiculous that in the end because these mature trees are an inconvenience during construction, they can be removed from the property where we live. And in the end, these people won the case just because they had more money for lawyers than my landlord.

2024.05.29 04:45 SoftNarwhal8447 Hi ! cockatiel advice please

Hi ! cockatiel advice please
I am after some advice (please please please)
so been around budgies all my life but i’ve never had a cockatiel. I had two budgies, one I rescued and hand reared from a backyard breeder in 2017 and he passed away a month ago. my other boy is 2 and not tame but relied on my first bird to land on people. I know he needs another friend but the thought of getting a budgie that’s too little or too much like my first boy makes me really sad and I can’t bring that energy to a new budgie. My friends cockatiel has brought me a lot of comfort recently and i’m now thinking I could adopt a cockatiel instead of another budgie.
I’ve put all my energy into so much research and I am certain I can handle a cockatiel (I am aware of course that they are more work than Budgies and with longer lives, this is no problem at all). My budgie gets regular checkups and is on a very balanced diet of veggies, pallets and some seed and i’m not worried about the money or the time put into food or socialisation, and I know about quarantining and i’ve got an air purifier. (so most basic parrot care down pat)
so my questions are; would it be easier to socialise a cockatiel and a budgie if the cockatiel is younger? (or a better question might be the best way to socialise a cockatiel and a budgie). i’d prefer them to eventually live in the same cage (my budgie currently lives in a very large flight cage).
I’m not sure what a healthy baby cockatiel looks like. someone who lives close to me is selling their baby cockatiel Harvey who looks like the attached photo. Can someone tell me if he looks healthy ? it says he is handreared and born mid April, is that too early to be weaned ?
are there any signs to look out for for bad breeding in cockatiels? I typically can tell by feathers and body language (and I don’t support wing clipping at all) but is there any cockatiel specific things?
also any other information at all from people who have had budgies and cockatiels would be incredibly welcomed. thank you and sorry for a big post ! I want to make sure I do this right :)

2024.05.29 04:33 Downtown-Cable4307 Ideas for a future update

1: The Birdalarm- A bird in a cage combined with a hammer, and the new Hour Glass item lets you set a timer. Everyday, for 5 uses you will get an alert and message to do something you need to remember.
2: Sand Sprite- Using the Hour Glass in the desert after the Dragonfly has been killed summons this master of trickery. Only having 50 health, you must whittle down the health on its Sand Army. Can "vanish" by blending into the sand.
3: Wyler- A new character! Wyler, the Rottweiler was Webber's father after an accident that fused him with a dog. He can use the Ruff ability to scare creatures, and does more damage without a weapon than with... At the cost of Sanity and Hunger for each weaponless bite.
4: Snowdudes/Snowdudettes- A fun decoration during winter! Using the shovel allows you to pick up 1 Snowballs at each time of the day, which can be crafted into Snowpeople for a decoration! Two Snowballs equals one Snowperson If you have over 5 in your base, it scares aware the Deerclops.
5: Snowballs- Can be used as Sling Shot ammo for Walter, doing 20 damage and freezing the enemy for a split second. Everybody other than Willow can throw them normally doing 15 damage and freezing them for a split second. If Willow tries to use them, they melt. Even Abigail can join the fun (doing way less damage with them)
6: Pyrenado- Tornadoes on Fire! Can destroy your base unless you have a stone wall. Spawn during summer. Can only be killed if you saved one your Snowballs in Ice Chester or an Ice Box, in which case, Snowballs don't melt.
7: Spring Breeze- During summer, a calming breeze flows through the air, displacing items on the ground and making boats go slower if facing the direction the wind blows. Helps recover sanity! Can spread fires from a campfire, unless it's a fire pit.
8: Winter Approaches- Wind will blow and flakes will spawn during Autumn. Small patches of snow appear, perfect for Snowballs! The patches vanish after collected and only give 1 Snowball per day. The wind decreases sanity as long as it is not your first Autumm.
9: Panacea- Crafted with a Meat Effigy, 50 Hearts, 10 Sanity, a Red Gem and a Blue Gem, this will revive everybody when used (or when everybody falls) and send them to max stats.

2024.05.29 04:25 seir0 Involuntary visualization of a specific real world place when thinking about a topic, with place and topic being completely unrelated

As the title says - when I think about a specific topic (for example finance or investing) there is always one particular, real-world location I visualize. This happens involuntarily, and each topic has its own respective location I visualize.
Typically I see a street corner, intersection or building from a bird’s eye view, and these locations are completely unrelated and inconsequential to the thought or topic. In the example of finance, I always land at the parking lot in front of my high school in bird’s eye view, a place I haven’t been to in 20+ years.
This has been happening for several years and today something made me look whether this is a known condition, as no one I’ve told this seems to relate to it.
Would anyone know if this is Synesthesia and does anyone here experience something similar?

2024.05.29 04:23 Bumblebee079 My budgie won't stop chewing the window sill, need help

Hey guys!
So this is a bit of a repost, I originally posted on parrots but I'm not getting much advice there.
I have a budgie who is just about to turn a year old. He has a nice big cage with plenty of toys which he loves to play with. Im a student so the majority of the time I am home and when I'm home, he is out of his cage. My place has plenty of big windows and his cage is right beside one so when I'm gone he can look out.
Recently, he developed this new habit of chewing the plastic seal between in the window and the sill. He is absolutely obsessed with it. If he is not jumping around me or my stuff, he is at the window chewing. So I tried to combat this behaviour. I tell him no, get up and go to him every time, but after the 500th time, I get tired of doing it. I then bought nice, clear tape to cover the seal. I taped it carefully with one long strip so there would not be cut off points he could take and rip off. That did the job for about 2 weeks until he figured how to peel it off or chew through it to get to his prize. I have tried putting toys on the sill to distract him. It distracts him for about 10-20 minutes before he returns to his original task. At this point, I think for him its just a game and I am kind of at my wits end.
Is there some sort of taste budgies don't like? Like how dogs don't like bitter apple spray. Or any training ideas? I do not understand this weird obsession he has. He has no reason to be bored and he eats a healthy diet. I grew up with birds and this is the first time I have ever encountered such weird behaviour. Any advice on how to stop this little green goblin of mine?

2024.05.29 04:23 GrownUpGirlScout June 13th, I Can See You, Mean, and Taylor Starting a Fire in Liverpool? PART TWO-ICSY Video and Taylor's Selves Escaping and Setting Fire to her Past

June 13th, I Can See You, Mean, and Taylor Starting a Fire in Liverpool? PART TWO-ICSY Video and Taylor's Selves Escaping and Setting Fire to her Past
In part one, I discussed my theory that the music video for Mean featured characters who were representations of either Taylor herself or explorations of her personal experiences with being bullied by mean people.
With that in mind, I think the video for I Can See You is a continuation on that idea and theme, as well as a easter egg for a resolution to the story Taylor is telling.
In the I Can See You video, the first character we are able to fully see is Presley Cash. She has 3 stars drawn on her cheek, a direct connection to her character in the Mean music video, who was working as a "star" at a diner.

When Presley Cash came out on stage after the premier of the video, she was wearing an outfit featuring sequin stars.

Also of note? Presley Cash's birthday is June 13!!! This past December she posted on instagram a behind the scenes "photo" (its one still image, but it has a video transition sort of filter over it, and the song playing during it is ME!) from the video shoot on Taylor's birthday saying "it’s a “blondies born on the 13th kind of thing”. The hashtags on the photo include #mastermind, #gemini, #sagittarius, #June 13, #December 13, and #twinning. Sagittarius (the archer, Taylor's sign) is a fire sign while Gemini (the twins, Presley's sign) is an air sign. Fire needs air to burn...

Next, we are finally able to see a clear shot of Joey King as she is working on breaking into the vault.
https://preview.redd.it/f0h1xfswb83d1.png?width=1533&format=png&auto=webp&s=85e12e58dcf4a6f3c5cfab8ecb6e66a18a0b5627
She gets through the security lasers, makes it to the "Speak Now Museum" outside of the vault and is joined by Taylor Lautner, who jumps down from the ceiling.
https://preview.redd.it/3ro0j6kec83d1.png?width=1493&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc61fb6e2e59dfedcbec86c013d5f0b01bda261a
They walk through the "museum" while Taylor paces back and forth inside her vault. There are A LOT of pieces, all from the Speak Now era, but all from different contexts. There are set pieces from her Speak Now tour, there are clothes from tour, clothes from award shows, musical instruments, outfits from press and media and music videos.
King and Lautner are walking together through these artifacts and they come to the dress Joey King wears in the Mean music video. Inside the case with the dress, there is a photo of King with Swift as a child, and there's a moment where Lautner and King are acknowledging one another and acknowledging a connection to this moment from the past. In this shot, you can see that the 4 outfits prominently featured are all from the Mean music video-train track Taylor's dress, the dress she wore with her hair braided and her band, then the dress she wore when she finally performs for King at the end of the video. Buuuut, King's dress is pretty much the only outfit in the entire "museum" Taylor did not wear herself during this time period. She could have included it just as a nod to King being in the video, but then it's a little odd to me she didn't include any other costumes worn by other people in her music videos? I think it's a way of pointing out how the girl from the Mean video is a notable part of Taylor's personal history from this time.
https://preview.redd.it/hbmdv7d7e83d1.png?width=1502&format=png&auto=webp&s=73b5faf69fef103d9950b4b378a5cd99ba8e5087
There seems to be only one other outfit in the museum which was probably not worn by Taylor herself and the clearest view of it is off to the side of King's dress when we see the picture of her inside the dress display.
https://preview.redd.it/mxpz1ar1g83d1.png?width=2651&format=png&auto=webp&s=cedb448965fba077b9ee62ac7f3fb2189b31b335
I've seen some different ideas of what the outfit might be-some theories it may be the outfit the boy in the Back to December video is wearing and other theories about it being an outfit Taylor was photographed wearing during that era. But I wonder if it might actually be this outfit, the suit worn by the "bullied young boy" from the Mean music video.
https://preview.redd.it/pcltbyw2h83d1.png?width=2268&format=png&auto=webp&s=ca6707c1bd456e0860de903e6ea3483d7bcbefa1
It's VERY difficult to see clearly what that outfit is but to me it would make a lot of sense for it to be the suit the "bullied young boy" wears. One-because it would be a nod to an important character in that music video, who otherwise goes somewhat oddly unacknowledged in I Can See You. Two-It would, I think, establish more strongly the link between the "characters" from Mean being being versions of Taylor because they are the only pieces in the museum we see which Taylor did not wear (or use) herself. I think they're meant to be a stronger visual clue than just outfits which happened to be in her music video-because why would those be the ONLY other non-Taylor worn outfits featured? And why did she SPECIFICALLY want to draw us back to Mean at all in I Can See You? I did not see any outfits worn by Presley Cash in the museum, which I was surprised by because I kind of expected it. But, then I began to wonder if--the version of Taylor who is a "star" isn't stuck in this past, isn't stuck in the vault? That version of Taylor she portrayed in the Mean video-the girl whose peers try to come after her and dull her shine, who gets smarter, who goes to the city and works hard, she is already free-and that's why she is the one coordinating the escape? I dunno. But I think it was certainly an intentional choice.
So I mentioned in the last part that I find it notable and interesting that Taylor chose to cast Taylor Lautner in this video. While yes, the video is general-Speak Now-era heavy, she is still FOR SURE drawing our attention to Mean. Instead of speculating on why the original actor who played "bullied young boy" wasn't cast, I'm going to speculate on why Taylor Lautner WAS.
1-I think she wanted the roles of the original Mean "characters" and those versions of herself/that story to be featured and called back upon, and so she wanted the 4th character to be included and she wanted the 4th character to be male. I don't think that Lautner is supposed to be the "adult" version of the boy from the Mean video necessarily, but I think he's supposed to be a stand in for someone who represents a part of Taylor which was bullied and ridiculed for her relationships choices (both public and private) during that time, specifically. I also think it's a bit of a Theylor thing, making the intentional choice to cast a "part" of herself as a man-as a way of expressing herself while throwing people off the idea that she may be identifying with that particular part of the story is a very Taylor thing to do.
2-His name is Taylor and she REALLY likes to point out the "Taylor? Taylor? Taylor? Which one's the real Taylor!?" of it all, as illustrated in the meme she posted on Instagram when announcing the video. Swift, Lautner, and his wife (also named Taylor) recreated the classic Spider-Man meme where a bunch of spider men are pointing at one another, trying to figure out who is the real Spider Man. In the caption of the instagram post she writes "Tale of 3 Taylors". Hmmmmm. Which 3 Taylors is she telling the tale of? She cast someone who would specifically make the narrative of the video "Taylor rescues Taylor from vault where she is being held hostage."
https://preview.redd.it/hwxysw2pr83d1.png?width=1235&format=png&auto=webp&s=7a2b8eb544fe37ed321498c333ef864701641bcf
3-I think Taylor Lautner is a big honking arrow pointing at the PR-meta aspects of Taylor's past. I personally don't think Taylor Lautner was a beard, but I absolutely believe he was a PR relationship. I think casting him points people back towards this and maybe gets them thinking about WHY he of everyone she's "dated" is someone with whom there's never really been any hint of animosity. And if she got along with him so well and still seems to get along with him well, why does no one ever speculate she's still singing about him being the one who got away? Casting him in this and inviting him to the stage during tour and inviting his wife to tour and being friendly with them all seems to cement him VERY firmly in the Speak Now era, as well as pre-empting possible speculation, knowing her next release is going to invite a TON of speculation.
As the music video continues King and Lautner break into the Vault where Taylor is being held. Vault Taylor's behavior throughout the video is interesting as well. She is waiting, she is anticipating, she is preparing. She isn't trying to get out. She sits on a bench lounging and looking at the walls where there are hash marks either counting up or counting down the days. She carefully uncovers her music on the wall. She listens for her rescuers. When they finally arrive, she looks relieved and happy to see them, but she doesn't seem surprised necessarily. But also, she also very obviously KNOWS them and TRUSTS them immediately. Knows and trusts them enough to rescue her. Knows and trusts them enough to follow them into gunfire.
https://preview.redd.it/qzsetls9z93d1.png?width=1979&format=png&auto=webp&s=b25dcb13b60bbc4c3044bca3b0b7d5093a5b0e7a
I don't think it's completely outside the realm of possibility that it's meant to be seen as her knowing and trusting Taylor Lautner (her ex boyfriend-he is as far as it seems supposed to be playing "himself" in this video?) and Joey King. But then, who is King supposed to be? The actress who played a character in one of her music videos over ten years ago? Or that "character" now grown? Maybe she was and still is supposed to be a representation of Taylor's fans but...I dunno. It makes a lot more sense to me for it to be a moment of Taylor recognizing parts of her self or even metaphorical parts of her past, and that being the reason she trusts them. Taylor has made it VERY clear that she sees herself as always ending up alone in a battle and feeling as if she's the only one she can trust.
https://preview.redd.it/dxho8m9le93d1.png?width=2457&format=png&auto=webp&s=6ec5a821c19d264f54f48ef59f54826c20d29f3a
With Speak Now (TV) already in hand (again, as if she was ready to go, anticipating a rescue) the three run from the building while ducking bullets as the glass surrounding the artifacts of Speak Now shatter.
https://preview.redd.it/oltfwwc2g93d1.png?width=2712&format=png&auto=webp&s=5856aef1ee58c785dae66f79962326f74d8d3808
Presley Cash flips a switch that begins an explosion just as the three exit the building. I again think this is a subtle indication of Taylor's trust of the people involved in this heist, that she seems to know and accept that in order to escape she HAS to blow up some of the most deeply personal parts of her history. An indication that they are people she trusts COMPLETELY to get her and her music (the most important part of her past) out safely. Again, I think the only person Taylor truly trusts to pull this off is herself.
https://preview.redd.it/fc4w54l5j93d1.png?width=2415&format=png&auto=webp&s=61aefbd4e6c0af666562fe59c72ae8c2fc6d12c9
Taylor gives the building where she has been held captive one last look, and her companions yell for her to get into the van.
https://preview.redd.it/ncaymbk8j93d1.png?width=2835&format=png&auto=webp&s=4c67a819740179f55cca448f5af6d4503b4dab98
They drive away
https://preview.redd.it/gkjit9k0k93d1.png?width=2776&format=png&auto=webp&s=b607f90f58bd6de7118f3e6730edbe37bf1ea3b7
I believe ALL of this is connected to the upcoming 100th show on June 13 in Liverpool. I think I Can See You set up an entire premise that something is going to happen in Liverpool that is going to destroy the public image of her past. She and her music are going to escape, but all of these memories that WE recognize of HER also have to be lost in order for that to happen.
She just KEEPS using all of this burning, exploding, destructive imagery-but what has she burned down? As far as the public narrative goes, Taylor's plans to re-claim her music has not had to include a total and compete destruction of anything. It started off as a very risky move, but by the time this video was filmed I think it was clear Taylor's entire re-record project was going to be a huge success-she even uses the final shots to tease the next one, further indicating that she had a Plan with this video.
The Liverpool Film Office has a post talking about Taylor filming the video. It includes a list of locations which gives even more evidence that Taylor was very thoughtful about where she chose to film this video in particular.
  • Cunard Building -(connections to Zoe Kravitz and also a shameless plug to my own post about how I think Nancy Cunard and the modernist movement are big inspirations for TTPD)
  • Water Street-(this street is RIGHT in the middle of Canary Wharf. During Taylor's most recent beach outing with Travis she was wearing a Canary Striped swimsuit, there are also numerous other connections to bird in a cage imagery in Taylor's work, so it's interested she included Canary Wharf in a music video about escaping.)
  • Regent Road-(didn't necessarily find anything about this one?)
  • St George’s Hall-(this one I think is really funny and the thing that absolutely convinced me None of if Was Accidental-St. George is a saint who is known for slaying a dragon, lol. Here's the wiki page if you want to read more about the story. The building is currently displaying a rather large Taylor Swift sign in honor of her upcoming show)
  • Former Natwest Bank, Castle Street (also didn't really find anything for this one)
I don't think the slaying of the dragon or the blowing up of the past is going to necessarily entirely happen in Liverpool-but I think she's going to announce something. I think eventually, whatever she announces is going to be seen as the first step towards TRULY reclaiming herself and her music, as well as the moment she started the fire that's going to burn down her image as we knew it. In other words-is she about to take the first official step towards reclaiming her name and her reputation?
ANYWAY.
Thanks all for clowning around with me a bit on this. =)
Truly Taylor's burning, exploding, escaping, destroying imagery takes up a TON of space in my brain and it just keeps getting more and more intense and the countdown is getting closer and closer and yeah. I can't stop making connections!!!! And I'm very excited to see what the rest of this year brings!!!!!!

2024.05.29 04:17 Brave_Swimming9489 Do I have a valid reason for khula

I’m 26F, husband is 28M, I’ve been married for two years. I had an arranged marriage, I sponsored him to Canada and lived with him for one year, but from day one it wasn’t going well nor did I feel comfortable, from the beginning till this past Ramadan, he wouldn’t shower on time, brush teeth, would be extremely lazy in offering prayers or spending time with me even intimately he would say his lazy and only approach me couple times a month in which I wasn’t satisfied either and had communicated multiple times for him to be with me more, and he would misuse hadiths and Quran verses to manipulate me. So I do as he says, he would also tell me I’m stupid, can’t and am not allowed to make my own decisions, I’m mentally unstable and need help. This Ramadan I got tired of it all and left him and told my family about it but my family said these are small matters, cheating, gambling, substance abuse, etc are big issues and why you should leave your marriage. And I spoke to a sheikh too. After this I still went back to him because of my parents and my husband said he’ll change and be better, after being severely sick and bedridden for two days he realized all his mistakes he told me. I’m in volunteering and dawah work. But after the sheikh we spoke to had mentioned that I have to obey my husband even if he says to leave my dawah as family takes priority and wife has to obey husband He started abusing this obedience part after we reconciled, told me I’m not to go volunteer anywhere, not see friends because his my best friend, not to do dawah work, even leave my job because he doesn’t need my money, I can do anything I want virtually but he wants me to stay home and cook fresh meals everyday and clean, even though he said his going to continue his low paying job and do it 15 hours a day from morning to night. Before this I was paying bills whole year, even cooking and cleaning myself, but now he had even started taunting me about him providing for me, because he needs to provide for me he can’t make anything out of his life, travel, or see his parents back home nor when they die, he can’t go see them then either. Even though I told him this is his choice, and already I was praying bills and will still help, but he said he’ll cover all my expenses and I need to be a good girl and listen and obey to him, after that 3 multiple times calmly lovingly I asked him I want to be able to help people and my main purpose in life is living for Allahs sake and doing dawah, But he said every time it’s his final decision, and I have to obey him. Then I decided to leave as I couldn’t live like a servant or bird in a cage like that, but when I was leaving he started saying I just have to convince him, as his all mine, how I don’t care about my old aging parents and am acting selfish when I’m not allowed to make any decisions nor am I allowed in Islam to divorce him, in the end when I still wasn’t giving in because of the pain and hurt he gave me, he then again at the end said I’m not mentally well and am unstable and need mental help. Which broke my heart into pieces and I had a panic attack, as I couldn’t breath nor stay another second with this man Before this i was fasting for the month of shawwal, my Eid was ruined because of my husband and my abusive family, so I was all alone, since I was volunteering to host a sisters Eid party, I had left my fast for that day so I don’t get tired and I can enjoy the party, but with this instance my husband was saying why I left my fast for volunteering but I didn’t leave it for him. I asked him multiple times what he means, but he said same thing every time that I didn’t leave my fast for him, but he works all day and night so even if I left it because maybe he wanted to spend time with me or go out but there was no reason for it. Which again was disturbing for me as he doesn’t seem to take deen seriously and expects me to always be serving him or something. Even telling me how his my dunya’s god after Allah and Allah has commanded if the wife had to prostrate towards anyone after Allah it would be your husband.
Now his lying to everyone that he only asked me to give him my weekends and I can do or go wherever I wanted during the week, I’m stonehearted i dont care about my old aged white haired parents by acting like this, and how even the sheikh said i have no reasoning for divorce and is baseless, which I wasn’t told by that sheikh plus I don’t believe this guy because of other manipulative lies And my family is pushing me to go back too as they keep saying it’s a worse world out there which I haven’t seen as there’s worse in laws and husbands who brutally physically abuse the wife. But I just want peace, respect, and honour, in a marriage even if there’s no love or intimacy But now there’s no trust either as his lying about what happened and why I left. He came again to me to forgive and give him another chance but I already have forgiven him many times but don’t want more hurt or pain and that’s why don’t want to go back. I spoke to the sheikh again, who said we have a lot of miscommunication this is his honest advice which would be we do individual and couples therapy, as he thinks we just have a lot of miscommunication He approved 2 divorces this past year, one was the husband selling his wife, and another was the husband physically abusing wife, cheating and doing zina So he thinks every couple fights and they say things which are wrong but they work through them, because we have different cultures there’s different ideas and we aren’t communicating them properly, even though I did clearly tell him we did communicate, now his lying and I can’t trust him, nor do I like him, but sheikh offered my family, me and my husband can talk and have a discussion to make things work, as according to him this can be worked out as I don’t have a proper reason for divorce. When I told him I don’t want to live with my husband bc of the way he makes me feel He told me to go to another senior shiekh As divorce leaves a big scar and it’s not easy to divorce and remarry I did have one session with a Maulana too who’s also a psychotherapist, with my husband, who told us we don’t sound compatible n our stories are different, one is the truth, it’s up to us to decide who’s speaking truth But every culture has same peace, respect and love, when I don’t have any peace and keep getting hurt and anxiety from my husband’s behaviour. Why do I keep suffering.
I’m thinking what if no sheikh approves of my divorce and think I don’t have a valid reason What do I do then? How is that even fair to my husband when I’m not happy and don’t want to stay in this marriage

2024.05.29 04:07 apehasreturned Booking the AEW World Title in 2024 - Part Two: The Master

Booking the AEW World Title in 2024 - Part Two: The Master
Part One Here!
We pick up following Blood and Guts, where AEW Champion Swerve Strickland led his team to victory over the Elite. It’s been an insanely brutal and bloody reign for Swerve so far, and with enemies and allies alike climbing the ladder towards a shot at the gold, he’s starting to grow slightly paranoid. With a second trip to Wembley approaching, the talk of the town is who’s going to win the Owen and go for AEW’s top title at Wembley - if Swerve even makes it there, the fans knowing that his wars of attrition are leaving him worse for wear with each passing defence.
Road to All In London
The lineup for the Owen is being narrowed down coming out of Blood and Guts, with MJF, Jay White, Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Hangman Page, Konosuke Takeshita and Katsuyori Shibata all in the running. With blockbuster match after blockbuster match being fought to determine the finalists for Calgary, we eventually come down to two: MJF and Will Ospreay, set on a collision course for the ages.
Swerve’s troubles don’t end there, though - after leaving the Mogul Embassy, his old allies smell blood in the water, and the EVPs are all too happy to make Strickland’s life more miserable by announcing a title match with Brian Cage for the Dynamite opener in Alberta’s largest city.
AEW World Title: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Brian Cage
Cage gets a good showing in here, using his remarkable athleticism to nearly put the champion away early, but once Swerve gets rolling, it’s clear that there are levels to this game. The Machine goes for a Liger Bomb, Swerve reversing into a hurricanrana to leave him prone for a HOUSE CALL, FOLLOWED BY A SWERVE STOMP! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Swerve Strickland def. Brian Cage (11:51) to retain the AEW World Title
After the bout, Swerve’s handed his title, and he keeps it hugged tight to his chest as he grabs a microphone. He says everyone’s been working their asses off around him to try and take this from him, but the champion promises he’s not afraid. He welcomes the challenge, because there ain’t nobody like Swerve Strickland in SWERVE’S HOUSE. He says he’s looking forward to seeing who comes out on top in the main event, and heads off backstage to watch it with Prince Nana.
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Final: MJF vs. Will Ospreay
This gets a lot of time, with no limit on a tournament final. Let them cook. MJF is in worse shape than Ospreay, having been flung straight into a tournament after a series of surgeries left him held together with duct tape, but Ospreay’s in a worse headspace, his typical unending confidence hampered by a few narrow wins en route to the final. However, it’s two spectacular in-ring talents, and they go ham in pursuit of victory, MJF wanting to headline Wembley for the second straight year and Ospreay looking to win the AEW World Title in a stadium in his home country. The back-and-forth gives way to MJF getting control, working the arm extensively to warm Ospreay up for the Salt of the Earth. However, an appearance by Adam Cole gives an unknowing Ospreay the opportunity to turn the tables with a handstand reversal to a Heatseeker, following it with a Hidden Blade for two. Ospreay considers working on the shoulder, MJF crying out in agony with each blow to the surgically repaired joint, and eventually, Will has him in perfect position for the Storm Driver 93. He knows MJF’s neck and shoulder are in such a state that this would be an automatic victory, but he hesitates just long enough for MJF to roll him up… ONE! TWO! THRE-KICKOUT! MJF grabs the arm to go for a Salt of the Earth, Ospreay rolling him back into a pin of his own, followed by another HIDDEN BLADE! STORMBREAKER! ONE! TWO! THREE! OSPREAY’S GOING TO WEMBLEY!
Will Ospreay def. MJF (31:02) to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
Out comes Swerve, standing toe to toe with his challenger as confetti falls around them. Ospreay leans on his trophy, grabbing a microphone as it becomes rapidly apparent his confidence is back. He says that All In is on the horizon, and last time AEW was at Wembley Stadium, he won as an outsider… yet Swerve lost. Now, Ospreay’s in AEW full time, mowing through all the competition, and now it’s time that the Kingpin get a shot at the crown. Swerve chuckles before his smile turns into a sneer, growling under his breath that Ospreay will have to kill him to take the AEW Title away - and he’s seen that despite being called the Assassin, he can’t do that.
The next week on Dynamite, Ospreay and Swerve are scheduled for a face to face promo in the ring, the title match official for All In. It’s electric as they stand opposite one another in the squared circle, trading some quick verbal barbs that they both brush off before getting down to brass tacks, Swerve holding the microphone and beginning to speak.
“Will, you’re impressive, man. You can be as athletic as the day is long, but it’s not ‘heavy is the body that wears the crown,’ it’s ‘heavy is the head,’ and there ain’t nobody like me. This is a mental game, and you don’t have what it takes there. You blew yourself up and broke your own neck when you went for the IWGP Title. You were betrayed by the Don Callis Family and somehow didn’t see it coming. You were beaten on your home turf by your sworn enemy because you got in your own head. You had the win of a lifetime against Bryan, and then you felt so bad about it that you neutered your arsenal. You don’t have what it takes… in your head or in your guts. There’s only one head fit for this crown, and it’s mine.”
Ospreay scoffs, trying to keep his cool, but he doesn’t wait long before grabbing the microphone out of Swerve’s hand to an “oooh,” from the crowd.
“Ain’t nobody like you, bruv? How dare you talk down to me. How dare you condescend me, belittle me, you arrogant bastard? I came here to AEW and started taking heads, just like I did in Japan, and there were people there just like you. People who said ‘ah, he’s not got it in him to be the next big gaijin. He’ll never be the champion,’ and now there’s you, saying I don’t have what it takes because I don’t have the mentality. YOU don’t have the mentality to do what I do. To fly from the UK to here twice a week, to raise a family, to spend a whole career an ocean away from home, to wear the crown on your head that says you’re the greatest wrestler on Earth. Nobody’s done that but ME, and when that championship’s fastened around my waist, mate, it’s going to prove what everyone already knows - that Will Ospreay’s on another level, and Swerve Strickland… he’s punching up.”
Now it’s Strickland’s turn to try and keep a lid on his anger, stepping toe to toe with his challenger and holding the title inches from his face. He tells Ospreay to listen close, before saying that the years of hard work Ospreay put in everywhere but home aren’t gonna be enough to help. He’s gonna be in front of his family, he’s gonna be in front of his friends, he’s gonna be in front of his people, and he’s going to let them all down, because he’s an impressive athlete, but he’s not the guy. Finally, Ospreay snaps, throwing a SHORT HEADBUTT, AND NOW BOTH MEN ARE THROWING FISTS! IT’S UTTER BEDLAM! The bell starts ringing to try and encourage them to break it up, but neither man is stepping down now, furiously exchanging blows as security rushes to the ring to divide them. Swerve grabs the championship, hoisting it high as he spits venom at Ospreay, the challenger spewing a string of words that probably won’t make air. They keep trying to break free and take another swing, commentary asking what on Earth they’ll do when they’re finally let loose at Wembley Stadium, pride and the promotion’s top prize on the line.
Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Will Ospreay
All In London
Wembley Stadium is packed to the gills as All In goes on the air, and they’re fit to burst as the first theme they hear is that of the Commonwealth Kingpin. Justin Roberts announces that our opening match is for the AEW World Title, and Ospreay receives plenty of fanfare and fireworks as he makes his way to the ring, looking more motivated than ever. He’s clearly jonesing in the ring, eagerly awaiting Swerve’s arrival as his compatriots cheer him on… and then Chaka Khan hits. Strickland may be in enemy territory, but the crowd can't help but sing. Oozing charisma as he enters the squared circle, the AEW Champion seems more than ready to put the Assassin down, the electric crowd letting both men soak in the moment as the bell rings. HERE WE GO! SWERVE VS. OSPREAY, LIVE FROM WEMBLEY, AEW TITLE ON THE LINE!
AEW World Title: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Will Ospreay
From the bell, Strickland and Ospreay are exchanging words as they gravitate towards one another, Ospreay calling for a lockup. They settle into a collar and elbow, Ospreay using his size to his advantage to try and muscle Swerve into the ropes, but Strickland reversing the momentum to cinch in a side headlock. Will still drives Swerve into the ropes, eventually breaking free and whipping Strickland across the ring, the champion building up speed as he ducks a clothesline attempt from the challenger and nails a Tijeras to send Ospreay flying. Ospreay’s quickly back up to his feet, Swerve attempting a slip behind for a German Suplex, but Will countering with a headlock takeover, kipping up and throwing a superkick that’s narrowly avoided by Swerve, who drops flat to his back, picking Ospreay’s leg and floating into a handstand to bring Ospreay down with a headscissors. Will kips up once more to break free, Swerve scrambling to stand up before OSPREAY THROWS A HIDDEN BLADE, SWERVE DIVING OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST MOMENT BEFORE CATASTROPHE! Strickland quickly pivots as Will looks to get to his feet, attempting a HOUSE CALL, BUT NOW IT’S OSPREAY’S TURN TO DODGE AS BOTH MEN END UP STANDING!
Gritting his teeth, Swerve goes for another lockup with Ospreay, this time quickly kicking him in the gut for a snapmare, cinching in a chinlock to talk some smack. The Aerial Assassin lands a few elbows to the body as he strives to get back to his feet, finally breaking free before being grounded again by a Tijeras from Swerve. Strickland grabs hold of his challenger again, Ospreay furiously backpedaling into the corner to avoid a lifting inverted DDT, only for Swerve to send him through the ropes for a HANGING NECKBREAKER! Ospreay rolls out to the apron instinctively, Swerve kicking out one of his legs and stepping through the middle rope to SLINGSHOT INTO A DDT ON THE APRON, BUT OSPREAY HANDSPRINGS STRAIGHT TO HIS FEET ON THE FLOOR! Strickland gets cocky, thinking he landed the shot, and turns around to see Ospreay charging at his legs. Swerve leaps up, still on the apron as Will overshoots, the champion pivoting for an APRON PUMP KICK, OSPREAY DUCKING IT AND LEAPING BACK ONTO THE APRON! SWERVE TURNS AROUND ONCE AGAIN… AND OSPREAY FLIES IN WITH AN APRON OSCUTTER! Tumbling to the floor, Swerve tries to get to his senses and figure out how he came out on the rough end of the sequence on the apron, but Ospreay gives him no time to think with a ROBINSON SPECIAL OFF THE APRON, STRAIGHT THROUGH THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! He props Swerve against the barricade, chopping him across the chest before scrambling to the top rope for a SKY TWISTER PRESS TO THE OUTSIDE - ONLY FOR SWERVE TO AVOID IT, NAILING OSPREAY WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX ONTO THE FLOOR!
With Ospreay stunned, Strickland slides back in to break the count, measuring his man before effortlessly delivering a FOSBURY FLOP OUT TO RINGSIDE, WIPING OUT THE CHALLENGER! Turning the tables on Ospreay, now it’s Swerve’s turn to lay in some chops against the barricade, only for Will to dump him over the barrier and into the crowd. He follows it up with a hook kick over the guardrail to stagger the champion, running the length of ringside and LAUNCHING HIMSELF STRAIGHT INTO A PUMP KICK FROM THE CHAMPION! Swerve hops up onto the barricade, grabbing hold of Ospreay in a front facelock before MUSCLING HIM UP AND OVER WITH A BRAINBUSTER, OFF OF THE BARRICADE AND RIGHT DOWN ONTO THE FLOOR AT RINGSIDE! He rushes to roll Will back between the ropes, hooking both legs… ONE! TWO! TH-NOOO! Swerve jumps to the middle rope to deliver a diving European Uppercut to the back of the head before Ospreay can quite get to his feet, following it up with a DISCUS LARIAT! The assault on the head is relentless, Swerve looking for a DDT before being driven into the ropes, Will trying to earn a momentary reprieve. Instead, Strickland pummels him with Muay Thai knees to the body, heaving him up for a LIGER BOMB! ONE! TWO! THRE-KICKOUT ONCE MORE! Swerve lets out a frustrated roar, deadlift Ospreay up to attempt another powerbomb, but Ospreay manages to drop to the apron for a gamengiri, followed by a PIP PIP CHEERIO! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Desperate to keep momentum on his side, Ospreay quickly delivers a rolling elbow, following it up with a SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX, BUT SWERVE RIGHT BACK UP TO HIS FEET, NAILING A GERMAN! He swivels around, only to see Ospreay landed on his feet, BOTH MEN THROWING HIGH KICKS BEFORE COLLAPSING TO THE CANVAS!
Wembley rallies behind Ospreay as both men struggle to get to their feet, barely stirring before the challenger begins pounding the mat, leaning back onto his hands for a kip-up before Swerve simply spins to punt him in the face and bring him back to the mat. Strickland rises to his feet, looking for the House Call, but OSPREAY HAS NONE OF IT, CATCHING THE LEG FOR A STYLES CLASH! ONE! TWO! THR-NOO! Following through, Ospreay attempts a Hidden Blade, Swerve ducking it before rushing towards his opponent and INTO A SPANISH FLY FOR A NEARFALL! Ospreay grabs the back of Swerve’s head, paying him back for the focused assault with a flurry of Kawada Kicks to the face, followed by an attempt at a delayed vertical suplex, Strickland floating over and landing on his feet. The champion runs the ropes, Ospreay stopping him in his tracks with a dropsault and an enziguri, continuously building momentum with a STUNDOG MILLIONAIRE TO FINALLY DROP SWERVE TO HIS BACK! Unleashing a war cry, Ospreay has a gleam in his eyes as he looks towards the top turnbuckle, dragging himself through the ropes to the apron before clambering up to the high rent district, turning his back to Swerve for another SKY TWISTER PRESS, SWERVE ONCE AGAIN ROLLING IN TOWARDS THE TURNBUCKLES… BUT OSPREAY ROLLS STRAIGHT THROUGH TO HIS FEET! Strickland flashes his grill to the camera in the corner with a smile, Ospreay looming behind him before BLASTING STRAIGHT THROUGH HIM WITH A HIDDEN BLADE! ONE! TWO! THRE-SWERVE POWERS OUT!
It’s been just over fifteen minutes of insanity as Ospreay smells blood in the water, knowing if he connects with a Stormbreaker, he can wrap this up. However, that certainty would only be cemented if he were to nail a Storm Driver 93, but he refuses to go to such lengths, hooking the arms… BUT SWERVE COUNTERS WITH A BACK BODY DROP, ONLY FOR OSPREAY TO LAND ON HIS FEET! HE BREAKS INTO A SPRINT, REBOUNDING OFF THE ROPES FOR A SPRINGBOARD OSCUTTER - STRAIGHT INTO A HOUSE CALL! SWERVE INTERCEPTED HIM! ONE! TWO! THRE-NOOOO! Strickland can’t believe it, but he’s got Ospreay dead to rights, spinning him around into position for a Tombstone. Strickland looks to the hard cam, a smug sneer on his face as OSPREAY REVERSES WITH A SEGA MEGA DRIVER, SPIKING HIM DOWN ON HIS HEAD! ONE! TWO! THRE-NOOOO! Ospreay is in disbelief, even a tribute to Mad Kurt not being enough to put Swerve down, but he’s staying on the ball as he hooks Swerve’s arms to go for a STORMBREAKER, ONLY FOR SWERVE TO FLOAT OVER FOR A LIFTING INVERTED DDT! Will’s rally wasn’t enough to get him out of trouble, and STRICKLAND FOLLOWS IT UP WITH A SECOND HOUSE CALL! SWERVE IMMEDIATELY ON THE ATTACK ONCE MORE, POSITIONING OSPREAY FOR A JML DRIVER… BUT WILL CLEARS HIS HEAD, COUNTERING WITH A POISON RANA! SWERVE UP TO HIS KNEES, BUT OSPREAY FOLLOWS IT WITH A SPRINGBOARD OSCUTTER! HIDDEN BLADE TO THE BASE OF THE SKULL, AND NOW… STORMBREAKER! ONE! TWO! THREE! WILL OSPREAY IS THE AEW WORLD CHAMPION!
Will Ospreay def. Swerve Strickland (20:10) to win the AEW World Title
Later in the night, Kazuchika Okada defeats Kenny Omega to win their fifth encounter, establishing himself firmly as the Number One Contender to the AEW World Title, giving the new champion only two weeks to prepare to face off with one of his greatest foes - a foe he’s only managed to beat cleanly once, while falling to the Rainmaker eight times.
Road to All Out
Ospreay gets to celebrate on Dynamite, cutting a promo saying he’s geared up to finally put this to bed. He says he’s glad he’s starting his title reign like this, because he’s certain he can beat Okada, and he’ll not have to worry about the spectre looming over him anymore. Every time there was a title on the line, every time the stakes were high, he failed against the Rainmaker - but the stakes were high at Wembley, and he won. He proved Swerve Strickland wrong, and now it’s time to prove Kazuchika Okada wrong. Out steps the Rainmaker, taking the EVP Elevator up onto the stage to say that Ospreay has already proven him wrong; he thought, years ago, that Ospreay was a talent worthy of being in Okada’s stable of CHAOS, and Ospreay proved him wrong when he betrayed his leader, only for Okada to beat the brakes off him at the Tokyo Dome. Okada says that Ospreay should be all too familiar with Okada being the top champion, the Ace, and he plans to finally bring that vision to AEW by restoring the world to its natural order and beating the Aerial Assassin for a ninth time. The Rainmaker’s ego is peaking, having avenged his loss to Kenny Omega just a few days prior, and he says that Omega’s a taller mountain to climb than Ospreay. However, he says he’s sure there’ll be room in the Elite’s ranks for Ospreay, should he come to his senses and want to fall back in line behind the Rainmaker. Ospreay declares that at All Out, he’ll prove to Okada and the world that he’s eclipsed the onetime Ace, while Okada insists that Omega was just the beginning - in just a few days, it’ll be time for the Rainmaker Era to start back up.
All Out
With All In having just occurred recently, All Out is a package deal with the Wembley show, ensuring a huge audience for what’s certain to be an all-timer main event between the Rainmaker and the Assassin. Both men want to walk out with the gold more than anything in the world, making an already personal rivalry all the more exciting as the coin drops for the last match of the night. Okada appears in a new robe, debuted two weeks prior at Wembley, and as he rises from the Elite Elevator, he’s looking more daunting than ever. There’s only one feud the man had ever lost, and he’d just avenged it against Kenny Omega - this is the most dangerous he’s ever been, and as Will Ospreay makes his way to the ring, Okada doesn’t even turn to face him. The champion is furious, but the challenger sees him as a formality standing between him and another epic World Title reign, refusing to even acknowledge him as they’re both introduced by Justin Roberts. They head to their respective corners, and THE BELL RINGS! IT’S OKADA AND OSPREAY, WORLD TITLE ON THE LINE!
AEW World Title: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
Both men are hesitant to open themselves up to a big counter in the early goings, especially given how well they know each other, so they try and psych each other out a different way - by waiting. The crowd greets them with a deafening reception as they slowly circle the centre of the ring, eventually meeting with a lockup that sees Okada immediately put his height to good use, bearing down on Ospreay with an attempt at a test of strength. He pushes Ospreay down to the mat, even getting his shoulders down for a moment, but the champion bridges up off the canvas. Okada jumps up and drives his legs down into Ospreay’s body, but Ospreay maintains the bridge with both men’s weight, Okada getting back up and shooting for a lateral press that gets a one count. Transitioning into a side headlock, Okada talks some smack, the Young Bucks supporting him at ringside while taunting the champion. However, Ospreay’s put on plenty of muscle mass over the years, making it all the easier for him to slowly make his way to his feet, twisting free and securing a side headlock of his own on the Rainmaker. Okada sends him into the ropes, Ospreay clinging to the top as Okada instinctively goes for a flapjack. Momentarily confused, Okada gives Will the opening to run in for a dropsault, attempting to follow it with an enziguri that’s ducked, Ospreay springing up… and into a flapjack, the inevitability of the Rainmaker’s plans coming to fruition putting the champion in a bad spot early.
Continuing with his somewhat lackadaisical pace, Okada keeps treating Ospreay like he’s not that big of a deal, shoving him into the corner for a double pat on the chest, followed by a stiff forearm across the jaw as the referee steps in. Ospreay lunges at him, Okada grabbing the arm for an Irish Whip into the opposite corner, rushing the champion with a big boot, but Ospreay SLINGSHOTS RIGHT OVER HIM, LANDING ON HIS FEET BEHIND THE RAINMAKER FOR A KICK TO THE HAMSTRING! Ospreay hones in with a swift roundhouse to Okada’s other leg, trying to take out his base, but Okada shrugs it off by catching the leg on a third kick attempt before driving his shoulder straight into the bridge of Ospreay’s nose, following it with a DDT that makes it look like Ospreay just died. The champion goes full scorpion, folding over himself like PAC as Okada grabs hold of the wrist to attempt an early Rainmaker. He gets Ospreay up to his feet, a smirk on his face as he winds him up, but Ospreay cuts through his grip with a sharp elbow before rolling Okada up with a victory roll reversal, straight into a DOUBLE STOMP TO THE GUT! Okada rolls right out of the ring and into the waiting arms of the Elite, Ospreay lining up to try and take him out with a dive before being halted by the Bucks, who leap into the way with their hands up. Ospreay shouts at them to move before going for it anyway, launching himself with a PESCADO, STRAIGHT INTO A BOOT TO THE STOMACH BY THE RAINMAKER! THE BUCKS GAVE HIM TIME TO RECOVER!
Taking advantage immediately, Okada sends Ospreay crashing into the barricade, Ospreay crying out before Okada sends him into the aisle on the crowd side of the barrier. He measures his man as he heads to the opposite end of ringside, the Bucks gassing him up as he takes a running start for a CROSSBODY OVER THE GUARDRAIL, LANDING ON HIS FEET AFTER TAKING OUT THE AERIAL ASSASSIN! Okada dusts himself off, his signature look of superiority clearer than ever as he drags Ospreay back to ringside, laying in a few boots to the body before spitefully laying in another DDT, this time on the floor. He breaks the count before continuing to pummel Ospreay at ringside, the Bucks taunting the champion with each consecutive shot he takes. Okada works over the champion’s neck, digging a knee into the back of it as he postures with his stablemates before securing a waistlock for a GERMAN SUPLEX ON THE FLOOR, BUT OSPREAY FLIPS OUT OF IT! He flings himself at Okada with a Hidden Blade attempt from behind, the seemingly omniscient Okada ducking at just the right moment before throwing a boot - but Ospreay’s just too quick, slipping under it and LAYING IN A HOOK KICK, FOLLOWED BY A BACK SUPLEX ON THE OUTSIDE TO THE RAINMAKER! Ospreay backs the Bucks away, threatening to put their faces through the back of their heads before sliding back into the ring and EFFORTLESSLY SOARING THROUGH THE AIR WITH A SKY TWISTER PRESS TO THE FLOOR! He sends Okada back between the ropes, following him with a PIP PIP CHEERIO, BUT OKADA CUTS HIM OFF AGAIN BY KICKING OUT THE ROPES! Ospreay is left hung up on the top, Okada turning him over for a DRAPING NECKBREAKER OFF THE TOP! ONE! TWO! THR-KICKOUT!
It’s been virtually all Okada thus far, and he continues to methodically wear Ospreay down with a targeted offensive on the neck of the AEW World Champion. Whenever Ospreay tries to get some momentum going, Okada’s able to reverse it, the style Ospreay honed in New Japan having paid dividends against plenty of other AEW talents, but not the man who defined the style for over a decade. Soon enough, Okada looks for the Rainmaker again, and Ospreay finds his opening by reversing it into a SPANISH FLY! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Ospreay looks like a bullet fired from a gun the second Okada’s constant pressure is taken off his shoulders, the champion bolting out to the apron to connect with a PIP PIP CHEERIO, NAILING IT BEFORE OKADA HAS TIME TO REALIZE WHAT HIT HIM! Okada tries to evacuate out the other side of the ring, but Ospreay’s having none of it, grabbing him by the trunks and pulling him back in for a SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! ONE! TWO! TH-NOOO! Okada sits back up just in time for Ospreay to strike him with a standing round kick to the ear, filling the Rainmaker’s head with cobwebs before flattening him to the canvas with a superkick, finishing the sequence with a RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESS! ONE! TWO! THR-ANOTHER KICKOUT, BUT OSPREAY’S FINALLY GOTTEN CONTROL AWAY FROM THE CHALLENGER! With the Chicago crowd rallying behind him, Ospreay struggles to get to his feet, the twenty straight minutes of punishment taking a heavy toll on the champion. However, he’s certainly up before the stunned Okada, with the challenger still attempting to get his wits about him when Ospreay charges with a ROBINSON SPECIAL, STRAIGHT TO THE BASE OF THE SKULL! Okada gets to his feet on instinct alone, the Assassin positioning himself behind his prey and circling him before running the ropes for an OSCUTTER! ONE! TWO! THR-NOOO!
Ospreay unleashes some Kawada Kicks on the challenger, letting out his aggression before lighting him up with a flurry of chops, Okada attempting to stand on business and throw some of his own, only for Ospreay to obliterate him with a superkick. Okada is left leaning on the ropes, Ospreay beckoning him towards the centre of the ring before attempting a SHOTGUN DROPKICK, SENDING HIM STRAIGHT THROUGH TO THE APRON! With Okada prone, Ospreay looks for the OSCUTTER ON THE APRON, BUT OKADA CATCHES HIM IN A STRAITJACKET! He attempts a Straitjacket German Suplex on the apron, Ospreay avoiding catastrophe with a back headbutt to the bridge of the nose, followed by a stiff back elbow to send Okada tumbling to the floor. Ospreay vaults over the ropes to break the count, finding himself in the perfect spot for an old favourite as Okada gets to his feet at the base of the ramp. Measuring his man, Ospreay leaps into motion with a SASUKE SPECIAL, BUT OKADA CATCHES HIM! WHAT STRENGTH FROM THE RAINMAKER, AND NOW… OH MY GOD, A TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER ON THE FLOOR! Okada’s confidence is peaking, the Tombstone on the floor having been a hallmark of so many of his defining victories and none of his defeats. Knowing this, he rolls Ospreay straight back into the ring, the work on the neck having paid dividends as he immediately secures wrist control, hoisting Ospreay up into position for a RAIIIINMAKERRRRRR! HE GOT ALL OF IT! ONE! TWO! THRE-OSPREAY SOMEHOW LIFTS THE SHOULDER UP!
Frustrated, Okada hurls Ospreay’s lifeless corpse into the corner and simply starts stomping a mudhole in his face, grinding his boot into the champion’s features before the referee pulls him away. Okada bickers with the ref as the Bucks sneak up on each side of Ospreay, Will instinctively grabbing a hold of Matthew, who scrambles backwards. However, Will stays latched onto him, forming a fist around Matthew’s tie and being pulled through the ropes… ONLY FOR NICHOLAS TO SUPERKICK OSPREAY STRAIGHT INTO THE RING POST, SPARING HIS OLDER BROTHER! Blood begins to spill from the side of Ospreay’s head, dripping onto the ring post and ring skirt as it becomes clear he hit his head damn hard against the steel. Okada pushes past the referee and continues to beat Ospreay down, relishing each moment of offence as he sends the champion packing to the outside with a petulant boot to the side of the head. He rolls out to the floor, the Bucks handing him a bottle of water to cool himself off with after such a brutal match, and now Okada gets to admire the Elite’s handiwork as crimson teardrops start dotting ringside, a bloody mask obscuring Ospreay’s face. Okada keeps beating ass, commentary noting that this is now the longest we’ve seen these two duke it out for, nearly 40 minutes having elapsed. Excalibur notes Ospreay seems harder than ever to put down, but Okada’s showing the same sort of dominance he has in the past, with Schiavone sounding worried that it might just be a matter of time.
Looking to finally put an end to things, Okada starts raining closed fists on Ospreay’s head wound, hurling him into the timekeeper’s table. Eventually, he lays Ospreay out on it, clambering up with him before flipping off the camera and calling for another Tombstone. He flips Ospreay around… but Ospreay drops to the floor behind him, sweeping out Okada’s legs before nailing a CHEEKY NANDO’S AGAINST THE GUARDRAIL, LEAVING OKADA SPLAYED OUT ON THE TABLE! Ospreay scrambles towards the ring post, blood pouring down onto his chest as he makes the long climb up the turnbuckles for a FROG SPLASH THROUGH THE TABLE, AND THROUGH OKADA! The count was broken by him hitting the top rope, sparing both men the risk of being counted out as they lie their motionless. Chicago wills them to their feet, Ospreay sending Okada back into the ring before using the surge of energy and momentum to get the challenger up for a STORMBREAKER! HE GOT HIM! OSPREAY’S GONNA DO IT! Ospreay leaps atop Okada, grabbing the leg and leaning back into a deep cover, putting all his weight across the challenger’s shoulders… ONE! TWO! THRE-OKADA’S FOOT IS HOVERING OVER THE BOTTOM ROPE, OSPREAY TOO ENTHUSIASTIC WITH HIS PIN! The Bucks look like they’re about to have panic attacks as an exasperated, mentally battered Ospreay fights back tears, a fraction of an inch away from redemption. However, he knows he’s got control, so all he has to do is take this one home.
Both men are in deep waters now, and with both being renowned for their gas tanks, it’s clearly come down to a war of attrition, both men knowing that it’ll all come down to landing the one big move that’ll keep one of them down. They’ve both sustained plenty of damage, but as Ospreay staggers over to the downed Okada, he gets this look in his eyes - the look of a man who has the chance to do the funniest thing ever against a man he resents oh so much. Ospreay grabs Okada’s wrist, the crowd letting out an “oooh” as it becomes clear he’s going for his own parody of the Rainmaker, traditionally a ripcord Spanish Fly. Okada is on dream street as Ospreay positions him, pulling the wrist to whip Okada around… but the Rainmaker is still wise to Ospreay’s moveset, keeping an arm near his side to stop Ospreay from latching on for a Spanish Fly. However, he wasn’t wise enough, Ospreay digging into Kenny Omega’s toolkit with a RAIN TRIGGER, BLINDSIDING OKADA WITH A HUGE HIT HE DIDN’T SEE COMING! Okada falls into the ropes, trying to keep himself upright by keeping a firm grip on the top rope, only to be uprooted by a POISON RANA, OSPREAY SPIKING THE CHALLENGER RIGHT ON HIS HEAD! He stumbles to the corner, Okada looking to find his footing as he gets to his knees… AND EATS A HIDDEN BLADE STRAIGHT TO THE FACE, OSPREAY MOWING STRAIGHT THROUGH HIS CHALLENGER! ONE! TWO! THRE-OKADA GETS THE SHOULDER UP, AND THE GRUELLING BOUT CONTINUES!
Justin Roberts is starting to sound pretty nervous as he makes the 50 minute time call, informing both competitors that there’s only ten minutes left in their longest bout against one another to date. Ospreay crawls towards the ropes, driven by pure determination as he peels off his elbow pad, winding up for the Hidden Blade of a lifetime as Okada slowly starts to stir. Both men have taken each other’s biggest shots, but Okada’s in the champion’s sights now, Ospreay waiting until he’s in the perfect position before CHARGING AT FULL TILT INTO A DROPKICK FROM OKADA! Somehow, Okada’s still got pristine form this late into the match, but there’s no time to linger on his magnificence as he rises to his feet, dazed and confused, in desperate need of a dagger against Ospreay. He leans over to hook Ospreay’s wrist, calling for a second Rainmaker, and now he ripcords him in, ONLY FOR OSPREAY TO BLAST HIM WITH A HIDDEN BLADE TO THE FACE ONCE AGAIN ON THE REBOUND! Okada somehow keeps hold of Ospreay’s wrist, tumbling into the ropes and dragging the champion with him, gritting his teeth and letting out a primal roar before CLOBBERING OSPREAY WITH A SHORT ARM LARIAT, BRINGING THEM BOTH DOWN TO THE MAT! Ospreay gets the slightly better landing tactically, turned completely inside out and managing to drape an arm over… ONE! TWO! THRE-NOO! Okada’s kickout flips Ospreay onto his back, the Rainmaker now making an exhausted pinfall attempt… ONE! TWO! THRE-KICKOUT! WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR ONE OF THESE MEN TO STAY DOWN?
Puddles of Ospreay’s blood stain the canvas as both men lie there, the unimaginable exhaustion washing over both of them as they fight to be the first man to a vertical base. Commentary discusses the importance of securing the upper hand at this moment, and somehow, it’s Ospreay who’s up first, although only by a matter of seconds. Okada decks him with a forearm, the Rainmaker doubled over trying to catch his breath, but Ospreay clocks him with one of his own, followed by a ROLLING ELBOW TO DROP OKADA TO A KNEE! Ospreay ponders a moment, considering going for a Storm Driver 93, and as Justin Roberts says there’s five minutes remaining, he goes for it. He hooks Okada’s arms in a butterfly, muscling him up off his feet… but Okada drops down to his knees, Ospreay too exhausted to lift 250 pounds into position if that 250 pounds is still fighting back. The champion knees Okada in the face before going for it again, but this time, Okada shifts his weight back and SWINGS OSPREAY OVER HIS OWN SHOULDER FOR AN AIR RAID CRASH NECKBREAKER! Ospreay goes down like a sack of potatoes, clutching the back of his neck in pure agony, unable to function properly as Okada scrapes him off the canvas and positions him for an EMPHATIC COBRA FLOWSION, DRIVING OSPREAY’S NECK INTO THE MAT ONCE AGAIN WITH A RESOUNDING THUD! The challenger rises to his feet behind his foe… AND SPREADS HIS ARMS, THE CAMERA ZOOMING OUT TO ENCOMPASS THE CHICAGO CROWD! OKADA HITS THE RAINMAKER POSE, AND HE’S READY TO STUNT ON OSPREAY ONCE MORE!
Ospreay’s in the perfect position for the Rainmaker, only a few minutes left on the clock, but both men’s movements have become lethargic and feeble after all they’ve been through. Matthew and Nicholas pound the mat to encourage Okada as he painstakingly leans over to latch on to Ospreay’s wrist, the champion fighting as best he can with a few back elbows, all of which miss the mark. Okada drives a forearm into the back of Ospreay’s neck, dropping him to his knees again before finally heaving him up for the Rainmaker, winding up… AND WHIZZING RIGHT BY OSPREAY, WHO COLLAPSES FROM EXHAUSTION! Okada falls in a heap behind him, but he’s still in better shape than Ospreay with moments remaining. With the last of his adrenaline, Okada scrambles up and picks Ospreay up once more, positioning him for a Rainmaker… BUT OSPREAY DUCKS, THIS TIME BREAKING INTO A SPRINT TO GET OUT OF THE WRISTLOCK! HE BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES, OKADA TOO TIRED TO SPIN AROUND IN TIME, AND NOW OSPREAY NAILS AN UNPROTECTED HIDDEN BLADE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! He’s got to roll him over, the seconds counting down as Ospreay simply digs his shoulder into the Rainmaker’s arm to slowly turn him onto his back, struggling to hook the leg… ONE! TWO! THRE-KICKOUT! OKADA GOT THE SHOULDER UP! Ospreay can’t believe it, fighting to get his feet under him, frantically attempting to hook Okada’s arms to get him into position for a Storm… ding ding ding.
Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada fought to a draw (60:00), for Ospreay to retain the AEW World Title
Road to WrestleDream
With Ospreay having been unable to put away the Rainmaker within an hour, it’s pretty clear that a rematch has to be on the horizon, but the question is where. Both Grand Slam and WrestleDream are coming up, and on Dynamite, Okada lays down the gauntlet for the PPV, saying that he intends to win the AEW Title at a show paying tribute to one of his idols in Antonio Inoki. However, Ospreay’s not off the hook until October just yet - Grand Slam still stands in the way, and a battle between two of his fantastic previous opponents is set to determine his challenger for the event. Those opponents? Swerve Strickland and MJF. In the end, MJF manages to pull out the win, securing a title challenge right next door to his home at Grand Slam. Ospreay walks in insecure, just as he did in the Owen Finals, but this time with good reason - his first title defence was hardly a successful one, and he might not even have the chance to make up for it if he doesn’t manage to put away the longest-reigning AEW World Champion ever, in their home state. The pressure’s on for the Assassin, and with challengers hounding him, all he can do is try and build momentum with wins week over week. He doesn’t bother trying to match MJF on the stick, the next challenger eviscerating the champion with promo after promo until the go-home show, where a fed up Ospreay simply snipes him with a Hidden Blade to cut him off. Grabbing the microphone, Will promises to prove the title belongs around his waist, telling MJF that he wants the same Max who dominated the AEW main event scene for over a year.

2024.05.29 03:42 johnopost First PRS Match- General Thoughts and Learnings

Hey all, writing this post primarily to encourage those who haven't tried shooting a match to go out and do so.
I know it's easy to get sucked into lurking around here- trying to absorb all the information you can, acquire all the gear you might need, and then maybe go sign up for a match. I waited far too long to even get out there.
My general progression- I joined this sub about a year back, read Cleckner's book, and did a ton of internet research. I finally bought a dedicated precision rig four months ago and took a PRS 101 class two months ago. Including the match last weekend, I've been on <10 total PRS focused range days. I'm basically a complete beginner.
First- Everyone was extremely friendly. This was a club match so nothing was at stake. I was offered to use someone's chrono, try out someone's bag, offered wind corrections, given advice on how to approach stages, given tips on my positioning, etc. While I'm sure someone's first squad will be filled with assholes, I was shocked at how much everyone was willing to help me out.
I'll for sure be signing up for the next match put on by this group in August.
What I learned- Generally, I was practicing wrong. My biggest limitation in the match wasn't my gear, it was how I was using it. I'm sure the match winner would have still been up there had we switched setups.
What I will be practicing differently for the next one- I plan to practice a ton more positional work. Even shooting at a 100 yard range at small pasty targets, building props for myself and forcing myself to shoot from awkward spots would have been a lot more beneficial than the ego boost that comes from sitting in the same spot for an hour dialed in on a few plates way out there.
What extra gear i'm going to buy for the next one- I really dont need much, most of what I had I didnt use. Maybe some mlok weights or make my own? The rifle is sitting at 13lbs which is a bit lighter than I would have liked for recoil control off of barricades. Possibly turning my 10/22 into more of a copy of my match rifle to practice the above with cheaper ammo.
The good
The bad
The ugly
My setup if curious:

2024.05.29 03:35 DazzlingShiny130 Nancy (The Storyteller Spider)

SUMMARY

"The Storyteller Spider or is a major character from the web-novel Tales We Weave appearing directly and indirectly as the author and supreme creator of all creation and serving as a narrator above all concepts, meanings, entities, creation and the narrative itself, existing in the peak of the Mother Web. The myth of The Storyteller Spider started millenniums ago on earth more specifically on the African continent, with the first humans believing on a spider god that from time to time, descended from the divine realm to earth with the single purpose to share his stories with the people. The myth still being a myth however inspired a whole generation of humans to write about the entity and the fables of Nancy became famous around the world with each one of them having a meaning. With the time as generations passed, humanity slowly forgot about them and even though their stories were slowly getting forgotten in time, there would exist those who would never forget about the myth of the Storyteller Spider as well its fables"

APPEARANCE

"In chapter 4-5 the Storyteller Spider is described as an big white spider with a undefined size, it is believed that Nancy's true form cannot be understood by any mind and being forever a mystery even to editors. While other beings are not able to understand Nancy's true form, he is sometimes described as an giant eldritch white spider and sometimes appearing in a human form. The true aspect and form of The Storyteller Spider is believed to exist beyond the dark frontier and being forever a mystery to those below it"

PERSONALITY

"The Storyteller Spider shows to be a friendly entity rather than a controlling entity like editors, he sees creation more than a story but a happy and cheerful world full of different individuals with each one building their own story. According to Nancy every single being has a story to tell, be it about their daily lives or whatever action they take, there is always a story to tell wherever you look around. He also shows a lot of interest for external stories be it from his creation or even from other places. During chapter 4 of Tales We Weave, Nancy mentioned the SCP Foundation showing he was aware such verse existed and adding how he liked the writing and lore of the SCP writers from the wiki. The Storyteller Spider doesn't just seems to love narrating and weaving new stories but seems to also love reading external stories, according to him there is always something new a person can learn when reading a story, that's the fun of creation and the thing that gives colors and joy to existence, the endlessly stories the individual can learn and extract a lesson from it"

NARRATIVE LAYERS (WEBS)

1. The Collective Webs

"The Collective Webs is the place where all single stories meet with each other being a place weaved by editors, each web from the collective webs contains an infinite number of omniverses with each one having a different story, and representing an entire verse stacked inside, containing also an infinite number of dimensions, realms, planes of existence, mathematical concepts, and inferior narrative layers also stacked inside. The number of webs in the Collective Webs is endlessly"

1.2 The Primary Web

"The Primary Web exists above all the other webs in the Collective webs, being the biggest and most important web for embodying and encompassing every single web, containing half of the entire narrative stack, concepts of existence. The primary web represents the inferior layer of fiction where all concepts of existence are tied inside it, being part of it's many webs and stories. Due to it's nature it is impossible for fiction inside it to leave and escape to upper layers due to the "point of no return" which exists to block and confine fictional characters from escaping the primary web"

1.3 The Fourth Web

"Although it was not mentioned, It is highly implied that there are upper layers above the primary web before reaching the dark frontier as editors can also manipulate the primary web. Above the Primary Web there exists the Fourth Web which is the place editors resides in low sub layers, the fourth web is an fourth wall aspect dimension established above the narrative of the Primary Web, serving as an place that exists beyond the fictional world of the primary web. This plane of existence is considered the high layer of fiction in which transcends all the aspects established in the Primary Web"

1.4 The Mother Web

"The Mother Web is implied to be the last web of the narrative weaved by The Storyteller Spider, existing beyond the fourth wall, and containing the entire full narrative stack from infinite stories. The existence of editors and other meta beings are also tied to the mother web as they are part of it as a whole, the Mother Web is argued to contain the entire fiction inside it, everything that existed, exists and will exist in the narrative. The destruction of the Mother Web could possibly imply the annihilation of the entire stack of fiction, however the mother web is still below the dark frontier. Is through the Mother Web Nancy constructs and weaves different stories, manipulating everything within it such events and endlessly stacks of stories that happens on it. Being the Spider of the stories and the entity who wove the Mother Web, Nancy transcends the fictional boundaries of the mother web, existing in the peak of the sub layers of the mother web"

1.5 The Dark Frontier

"The Dark Frontier serves as a barrier that traps and seals the fourth web, due to its nature it is impossible for any meta or pataphysical being to cross it, representing also the edge of fiction and the true point of no return. The dark frontier is also extremely large, encompassing and evolving the entire fourth web like a spherical cloud of darkness. Due to its nature it is believed that Nancy exists above it, however as none ever managed to reach it, it is unknown what exists above it but it could possibly be the place the spider's true apect resides as a whole"

1.6 Skyline Universe

"Skyline Universe is a hypothetical place that exists above the dark frontier and being the place Nancy resides, is described as a world similar to real life but with only one single entity residing in it. Being a place that already transcended fiction itself for being above the dark frontier and the mother web. The Dark Frontier when looked from Skyline Universe, has the appearance of an small dark sphere, like if it was a decoration item placed inside a living room, having the mother web stacked inside it as well. Due to it's nature, it is impossible for beings who exists inside the mother web to cross the dark frontier and reach this place as the Skyline Universe exists completely outside of fiction. The Skyline Universe is implied to be the manifestation and projection of Nancy's true form and whole aspect including imagination, ideas and true self (being basically themselves as a whole)"

POWERS AND ABILITIES

"Nancy's true powers remains a mystery for most entities but they are highly believed to be above all concepts of existence and above creation itself, seeing the narrative and everything as fiction to him, thus granting him great power and influence to control what happens in the story. During chapter 4-5, Nancy reveals to Skinande existence itself is merely something he weaved to narrate, even the existence of meta entities such Skinande or editors are tied to the narratives of the spider. He was also responsible for the creation of the mother web as well everything inside it, something that contained the entire fictional stack created by him. Concepts such; destruction, chaos, destiny or light are conceptual ideas tied and confined inside the Primary Web in which he transcends due to him having woven the mother web and the existence of the entire fiction contained inside the mother web"
Powers and Abilities: Beyond-Dimensional Physiology (Exists beyond the fourth Web, transcending the fourth wall itself), Acausality (Type 5: Existed before editors, who created causality and the primary web), Plot Manipulation, Mathematics Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Quantum Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation, Omni-Lock, Omniarch, Complete Arsenal, Text Manipulation, Data Manipulation, Creation (created and weaved the entire Mother Web), Existence Erasure (can erase and wipe the mother web with everything inside it), Transduality (Type 3:, Existential Perfection, Omni-Negation, Absolute Invulnerability (can survive even if the mother web is destroyed), All types of immortality, Omnipresence (can exist everywhere at the same time in the narrative), Omniscience (Knows everything and contains all knowledge possibly), Transcendence (transcends all meanings, concepts, ideas, entities, deities, and the narrative itself)

QUOTES

"Time...It's not what you think it is, time is like a cage or cube that revolves everything and when you freed yourself and leave its boundaries you realize time is just a cage trapping third dimensional beings inside, you see how time is so small but big compared to those people" -Nancy to Skinande when explaining about conceptual meanings
"Everything is more fun and better when people shares their ideas and gathers them together with other's ideas thus making a lot of stories" - Nancy to Skinande
"Every work has an message the author desires to pass to the readers, the message I wanna pass here is that with a bit of creativity, effort, and imagination someone is already capable to create and build different types of stories, and that's exactly the message I try to pass on this web-novel, the "Tales we Weave" or stories we create together" - Nancy to the readers

TRIVIA

*In the African continent, Nancy was once mistaken with the god "Anansi", the spider god
*During Chapter four of Tales We Weave, The Storyteller mentions that they are nothing more but a manifestation of a entity named Beyond Light, something that exists beyond the Dark Frontier and the mother web itself, being just a manifestation of Beyond Light in the narrative
*Although It wasn't mentioned, Nancy's favorite story and narrative is the "Self Reference Engine", with himself being a "fan" of Nemo Ex Machina's work
*Among the many names he was given already, the names "God of Stories" and "The Storyteller Spider" were the most famous and used ones by himself
*It is not fully know why Nancy picks the form of a spider to manifest himself but it could possibly be related to how he weaves and create stories like an spider weaving its webs
*He seems to be aware of other verses as he mentioned SCP writers in chapter 4
*SCP-2747 was almost mentioned by Skinande before he got interrupted and cut by Nancy
*As mentioned above, Nancy shows an deep passion and interests for stories, quoting them as "the joy of creation" for him and being the thing that moves every writer to write, the passion for the narrative and the writer's creativity
*"Did you liked my own improvised fandom wiki, reader?"

Is This Safe? Naturally Berry Flavored Spray Millet Bird Treats
Picked up the wrong pack of millet by accident. It has a really strong blueberry smell that fills up the whole room as soon as you open the packet.
One budgie likes it, the other does not.

24 hours before his death, Gus Scott wrote this heartfelt account of a 115mph lap at his first TT. (From Performance Bikes magazine August 2005)
"24 hours before his death, Gus Scott wrote this heartfelt account of a 115mph lap at his first TT. We couldn't think of a finer tribute to our friend than to publish it."
"As I funnel towards the start line in a big group, pushing my bike slowly forward, it's weird but I'm calm. I was so nervous on the ferry over, thinking, 'Is this going to be one of those one-way trips?'
I didn't sleep last night. I was getting annoyed with myself because I wasn't picking up the whole lap - there were certain sections that I still didn't know. I was frightening myself in some blind, flat-out sections. i ended up watching a DVD of the track, rewinding certain sections again and again.
down on the start it's not like a normal race. there's no mass start. It's just you, the bike and the road. That's a nice feeling. They set you off individually. when I get to the front there's a bloke in a white coat who puts his hand on my shoulder and looks up to the box. He counts 10 seconds as the rider in front disappears down Bray Hill. Then he lifts his hand and I think, 'He could be the last person to touch me.'
Bray Hills fast, fast as fuck, but you've got time to think. You aim to go under the bush on the right, then come to the crossroads and you've got to pull on the bars to jump or it'll load the front. You apex at the lights, in top gear flat-stick. The bike compresses so much that you scrub off loads of speed. then over Ago's Leap. The bike naturally lifts. I try not to roll the throttle, just let it come down.
There's a rise before Quarter Bridge. You have to go down a gear and accelerate to wheelie over it. One lap I didn't and it went into a massive slapper. then you've got to slam on the brakes to go through slippery Quarter Bridge.
Second, third, fourth, towards Braddan Bridge. Aim for the junction on the right, brake, back down two gears, follow the white railings that jump out at you. Gingerly through here because this is the first time the tyres have been on their left side. Full tank of fuel, new tyres - these bikes feel awful at low speeds.
Flick it over, into a dip - bah, bah, bah, bah - flat-out through two terrifying blind kinks hurtling at Union Mills. Coming out there's a garage on the left, you've got to have the thing absolutely pinned. There's a kerb on the left you've got to skim with your wheels as the bike bucks and weaves.
On to a long straight toward the campsite. people sit on a green bank. Their feet are so close I'm sure I'm going to hit them. Then you peel away towards one of the fastest corners on the track - Ballagary that's also called Glen Vine. people call it Ballascary because there's been a few fatalities there.
There was a massive crash here in one race - bikes and carnage everywhere. Next lap there's shit all over the road, fuel spills, I slowed right down to 50 and still got a massive slide. then the next lap there are fewer flags, then the third lap it's up to you if you want to keep it lit through there.
I start to relax, I'm glad I got that right, but there's a hump on the way out. The bike's still leant over so you've got to get it right. You pull on the bars to do a crossed-up wheelie.
Up to Crosby and DJ's [David Jeffries] corner which is a hard one for me. I greet him every time I go through, saying 'this one's for you Deej.' At the start of the week I didn't think I'd be able to flat it, but then I though, 'Fuck it, I know it's only a kink.' You've got to commit to these corners early, otherwise you'll just pussyfoot through them all week.
This is a learning year, I've put no pressure on myself and told everyone that right form the start. I've never had any interest in doing the Manx [Manx GP] and because I've got an international race licencee I didn't have to, so this is my first time on the Island's closed roads. the idea is to keep coming back until I start getting podiums.
On to Crosby. The Fireblade hates it. it's done some awful things all week. I was speaking to Michael Rutter last night and he said, 'You've got to roll off', there's no point getting in a silly mess or you'll be off the throttle for too long.
Greeba Castle has a rollercoaster dip, you've got to go slower than you think to get the drive out. There's an off-camber right that would be easy to highside out of. then the left-right-left-right skimming the kerbs, before a nasty left.
Greeba Bridge, flat-out on the 600, back two gears on the Blade, down a rollercoaster hill. I've already been into teh fast right that follows too fast, hit some little potholes, the front tucked, all my weight on my kneeslider, and then it just flicked back. scary. It took me1 0 miles to get my concentration back.
Up to fifth, then another fast right. It would be kneedown but I keep it up because it's so fast it would drag. Look for the 30 sign to brake into Ballacraine. Boot it down to third, nice and easy, through Ballaspur, then just kick it up the box weaving towards Glen Helen. I'm going too fats but I don;lt brake, just drop a gear. This is where you see the flowers.
I've lost a few friends around here. When you're flying round you see bouquets of flowers and purple ribbons stuck in the wall. it's a bit off-putting. Ronnie Smith suggested that people should respect the riders who were still racing by putting the flowers just over the wall. there'd be no harm, but the racers wouldn't have to see them."
I'm on the climb to Sarah's Cottage. Third gear uphill, I ran out of road here before and thought, "I'm in the bales." You don't want to look at what you're going to hit, so I looked up the road. I was lent over at full tilt, I had my knee down, boot on the ground, everything, then I felt the wheels hit the bales, flick me up, and I was still going, so I just kept racing. this place gets you like that.
My heart was trying to pound out of my ribcage, I had eyes like frisbees. That could've been it. Get it out of your head, get it out of your head. You think about pulling over, then just keep building up speed top Cronk-y-Voddy. It's hard at the end of there. I had some nasty slappers, lock-to-lock with loads of people watching. On the video it looks like DJ just rolls it off, but I've found it better to pull on the bars to take the load off the front.
The funny thing about this place is you accelerate in to a lot of the corners before you see them. that lifts the front end and you wont believe how smooth it makes it.
Into top gear, towards the big bottler at the bottom of Barregarrow. what's going to happen this lap? Back a gear, brush the brakes, and accelerate into it. you've got to do your turn beforehand because everything bottoms out and you can't turn it, everything compressed, the bike won't go anywhere.
Then into the 13th milepost. the first time I went into there I thought it was straight. it isn't. It's bumping all over the road, a kerb on the right pops out right under your wheels, brushes your footrest. Then you're onto the nice smooth tarmac towards Kirk Michael.
In the first practice I floated round and thought this is the next best thing I've ever done in my life. Next time I went a bit faster and had some big scares. I got lost, I nearly ran into some walls and then a Swedish lad I was out with on Saturday night was killed. He got lost and ran into a wall going into Kirk Michael, a tight, third-gear right-hander. Spectators said he went on full tilt, he just got caught out. I know how it felt. He was over here for all the right reasons. He was 39 and wanted a bit of a ride. It really fucked my head up.
Into Kirk Michael and I brake just after the 30mph sign. Strangely enough, they put in 300m brake markers after Kim died the other night. Ian Lougher broke down here and said I looked really good through this section. He's been helping me with my suspension all week.
Then accelerate like mad, but this is where something strange happened. In the first few races I was only passed by three riders and I've only caught a few. I went through the Superstock race without seeing anybody. It's quite lonely. It was my fifth lap and my head started playing tricks on me.I went through Kirk Michael and saw a copper and thought, 'What am I doing?' I was flat-out, so I shut off because I'm used to riding on roads. Then it clicked that I was racing. There's nothing to tell you the you should or shouldn't be doing it. It's a really weird situation.
The buildings are tall on both sides. Kerb to kerb to kerb. Apexing yellow line, yellow line, yellow line. You can hear the bikes noise rattling off the buildings. It's bumpy, hairy and scary but an awesome feeling - full-tilt through a 30mph village, throttle pinned, kicking up to sixth.
Hard-ish left, hard over the bumps, back a gear and then accelerate over Rhencullen. Right-left, wheelie so it doesn't go into a tankslapper, then a quick right, down to fourth, down a dip and get the bike absolutely straight over the next rise or it'll tankslap. It's taken me all week to get that right.
Pin it through Alpine Cottage and off towards Ballaugh Bridge. Brake at the 30 signs - bang, bang, bang - down three, then another and accelerate and pull on the bars in the centre of the bridge, but at an angle to get your line right. No one tells you how to do it. I was landing my front wheel at first. I haven't got experience of jumping bridges and I haven't raced motocross like some of the top guys. You hear the front clonk and you've got to get on the gas immediately.
hard up the box to this bit of worn-out road where the surface is like tar. You can feel the wheels moving through the long left-hander, towards Ballacrye - which is scary. You jump about 160 feet, a foot or so off the ground. It's like a little skip and everybody's had a nasty moment here. The bike twists slightly in the air and you get a whip when you land. The other day John McGuinness broke his screen off and his steering damper snapped it was such a nasty slapper.
then there's Gwen's Cottage. Little Gwen is over 80 years old and she comes out shaking her fist at you, to will you on towards the the awesome Quarry Bends. There's a bump on the way in that unsettles you, roll in in top, then back a gear to drive through. get it wrong and you know it.
I came out of Quarry Bends and thought I was on Sulby Straight and could relax, but I wasn't. I was heading straight towards a wall. I was trying to turn the bike at 180mph with the throttle pinned. It was a nightmare. the bike's screaming it's head off down Sulby Straight, but I take the chance to give my fingers a bit of a waggle around. In the 600 race the bike in front hit a bird and it was like a pillow exploding. Then you apex off the houses, before going down into second to wheelie over Sulby Bridge.
Just there my mate, Kenny Munro, was killed a few years ago. I say hello to Kenny every time I go past.
Then all hell breaks loose. I've never ridden a road as bumpy as the one between Ginger Hall and Ramsey. The bike's lock-to-lock through Milntown. Down a hill, through the bumpiest corner, then you start building up to a horrible jump where Rob Frost crashed. Pull on the bars to wheelie. then keep it pinned until I see a little fence. I call it Fast Fence, to remind myself not to roll off through the blind kink. The sunlight coming through the trees distracts you.
I'm not getting used to animals on the track. In the 600 race I came through Milntown to see a massive black cockerel in the middle of the road. It looked at me and I looked at it. I thought 'I'm going to hit this', before it casually walked to the side of the road.
It's really bumpy, but the faster you go, the smoother it gets. Bumpy right, back another gear. there's a tree with a big 'K' carved into it. Aim for that and you miss the kerb.
Ramsey's a nightmare to get round so you may as well just pootle. Up towards the Waterworks there's a lot of nice short circuit scratching stuff. Waterworks is a tight right with loads of people shouting into your ear. It's great. Do a tiny wheelie before the climb up the Mountain.
Three corners taken as one into Guthries, a nasty little bastard that can easily have you off. fast left, keep climbing, over a tiny bridge where you nearly hit your shoulder on a bale, then you start the Mountain Mile. It's not a straight and easy to get wrong.
Everything's a blur, but it's a nice feeling. The bike's labouring, but I feel great in the fresh air and sunlight.
Up the top I get a pitboard as I go over the tramlines telling me if I have to come in for fuel or not. On to Brandywell and Windy Corner, past where Simon Beck died, two apex left-hander that can catch you out and a lovely right...
I'm missing out chunks because it's all constantly left-right up here. You can't compare this place to anywhere else and that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted a completely new challenge. It doesn't even compare to other road circuits because it's such a length. In one race I'm only going through a corner four times. On a short circuit I'm going through 20 times. Even the longest race you're only going through six times. And the conditions could've changed, someone could've fallen off.
Accelerate through Kate's, through the damp patches. I always think I'm going to lose the front here. down to Creg-ny-Baa. Down three, gentle kneedown for the punters, close to their feet to give them a proper buzz. through Brandish in top, right up close to the spectators. I love it.
Into Signpost. My team-mate Nigel 'Cap' Davis crashed here the other night and broke his femur in half. I think the bike landed on him. It's blind in second, then into another nice corner that's off-camber, aim for the gatepost, then turn away, accelerate towards the horrible Nook, then a whiff of throttle to Governor's then bam-bam...
Governor's is awful. It kicks your arse-end all over the place. Through gently, I nearly topple off I'm going so slow. Short-shift into second, there's a nasty little rise so I stand up and accelerate like fuck, skim the kerb and that's it, on to the start/finish for another lap or five.

Blocking one of Mushu’s “spots”.
Me and my wife’s 2 year old male cockatiel Mushu, (yes the little dragon that Eddie Murphy plays in Mulan) has always been allowed to freely roam in my office. I tend to spend most of my days and nights in this room which results in him being out foraging and making a mess of the place more than he is in his cage (which is in the same room and accessible to him at all times with food/water).
I have owned a dozen tiels over the years and we all know how they find their little “spots” that they prefer to be. I’m not sure why but the box fan has always been a favorite of these little rascals and especially Mushu. I have had to fabricate numerous cardboard bird blockers to keep him off of it because we had an incident where a box fan blew itself over when a bird was clinging to the side of it on its way to the top. Since then we do not allow them to perch on it.
This is the THIRD bird blocker I have had to make because this little ninja 🥷 finds a way to overcome it every time. I’m not sure what it is about cockatiels and their favorite places. We have perches, ladders, and access points for him to get on the desks, tables, and even his cage which is on a wall shelf system about 4.5’ off the ground. Yet he still chooses the fan…. Birds can be so stubborn sometimes. But it’s hard to be frustrated with that little look on his face. ❤️
What are some of the places that your tiel goes despite you trying to keep them away? A second favorite of his is my laptop picking off keys or on my wife’s phone pecking at numbers while she tries to type.

🐱🐶 Playing with my cat and dog (Licorice and Wade): My furry friends are a big part of my life, and I hope you'll adore them as much as I do!
🎺 Playing my trumpet (recently started again from high school): I've picked up my trumpet again, and I'm eager to share some tunes with you. Maybe you can be my number one fan!
🎶 Music: If music could be a love language, it would be my top choice! I'm a massive music lover, and I'm always excited to share playlists and discuss our favorite artists. My musical taste is pretty diverse, but I particularly enjoy Rock, Metal, EDM, Punk, and Musicals.
