I've been trying for a while. It's been on and off. The last 6-10 months I've been trying to focus on my well being.
I have met a few people but they are not always regular at the place I go. I prefer interacting with people face to face because writing message can get messy and confusing especially for me since I have anxiety easily (there is something called Text anxiety, it fits me well😂).
I haven't made friends yet but I'm already in a better situation, just learning to be surrounded by people, interact with them. I've had a hard time because of bad (we can even say evil) people at work the last 14+ months and it's almost finally over.

I'm not a real fan of that and I barely use them except for sending memes, reels, publish a few things. Anyway, social medias are not my whole life at all. But I can see them as a tool. Meeting apps are not for me ,I've tried.

I would like to try hip hop dance next school year so I'm waiting for the dates to try for free the dance lessons. I know how Belgian are, I was born here after all. My stepmother hates the fact that I exist.
I want to start by saying that I was born before my father and stepmother got together, however they did start their relationship whilst my father and mother were still together who later broke up after around 12 months of me being born. I have never known my parents together, it’s just how it’s always been.
I used to visit my dad once a week, and my stepmother would never really address me or talk to me, and that’s just how it was until she nearly died in childbirth with my youngest sister when I was age 14 (she had two children with my dad). We became closer and I was extremely grateful because I had always wondered why we never gained a relationship over the years. At age 17, 10 years ago, there was a disagreement between me and my dad, stepmum, aunty and nan which resulted in me basically being shunned from the family, and it was over something extremely small and didn’t need to be blown up in the way that it was. Over the first 2 years of limited contact, I was bullied via social media by stepmum, nan and aunty; this included making jokes about my mental health, contacting my friends to try and turn them against me, contacting my mothers side of the family to tell them how much they hated me and them, the list goes on. It went as far as to keep a family illness from me, which unfortunately resulted in what I thought was a sudden death and I was threatened out of going to the funeral - I was called an extreme expletive for asking, beginning with the letter C and something was said in regards to hurting me in some way or another. This was all done without the knowledge of my father, he remained in no contact through sheer stubbornness. Fast forward perhaps 3 years, my dad is back in contact but is caught texting me by said stepmother - she insists he chooses between me and her and there is an attempt at serious assault (her against my dad) with a glass, you do the math. He moves out for a week or so and goes back to her. We text on and off for years, discussing meeting up one day and eventually, 9.5 years after the initial shunning, we meet up. This is met with more anger, I believe she even demolished her own kitchen in rage over the thought of her husband meeting his first child.
Something that should perhaps be mentioned about now, is that my youngest sister has no recollection of who I am as she was only two years old at the time of the original falling out, she is now 13. My dad has informed my sister of my existence at this point, wanting us to eventually meet. The oldest of my sisters is now 20 and we have plans to meet, she’s an adult and can do as she pleases although I sense an element of fear of her mother and that’s why there has been a delay.
This fiasco has ended in the break up of their marriage, all because I exist. I think it's important to know the difference between friends and acquaintances. Some people, they received a signed postcard from a politician or did a photo op [a photo opportunity] with a politician and think there is something there. Politicians are not really your friend, no matter how charming they may seem.
The same is true for your coworkers. A job is an exchange of your time for money. This is the case for you and for your coworkers. Sometimes coworkers will be like "we should totally grab a beer after work sometimes", but in reality the hangout you envisioned doesn't actually happen. I remember this one programmer (Tech Lead at https://youtube.com/@techlead ) talking on YouTube about how he got kicked out of Facebook for having a for-profit social media channel, and how he imagined that his coworkers would all resign in protest over his firing. LOL. Hahahaha. Just "No".
Everyone is acting out of self interest. The "good person benevolent sacrifice" thing is a myth. Sometimes they might do something that seems charitable, like give money to a homeless person, but really they're just making themselves feel good, happiness, and boosting their ego. I remember when I volunteered at a homeless shelter, there was a policy that formerly homeless people who received meals there were not allowed to volunteer there on the other side of the serving counter. Turns out the people who did the serving and volunteering on that side of the serving counter didn't like it when that happened. I remember another time a homeless guy asked me for money, and I felt bad for him, and then I sat at a counter, and then this gross smelly homeless guy sat right next to me at that same counter and ordered while I was trying to enjoy my food, and I was like "Uhh, waitress... I'd like you to get rid of this dude, please". But yeah, you don't actually care, what you actually care about is your feelings and how you feel. You're trying to make yourself feel happiness and an ego boost, and maybe cover your own ass in case you ever end up in that situation. And by "you" I mean "me". "If you repeat a lie often enough you are a Republican, but if you don't know you're lying yet, you're a Democrat." I created that quote, see previous posts.
This song "I am Africa" from The Book of Mormon musical comes to mind. Basically these rich White people are like "I am Africa" when really they just have a savior complex and are full of bullshit. Note that in real life, if you really know these savior complex people, they are actually total assholes and douchebags. Their beautiful lofty beliefs are actually bullshit, even if they don't realize (at a conscious level) that they're bullshit. This is true of a lot of beautiful left-wing beliefs.

No, you probably don’t have as much body hair as me and no, you cannot pretend to relate to me if you do not have as much body hair as me. It genuinely upsets me when women with a normal amount and placements of body hair say they feel the same when I feel just as alien from them as from the rest (don’t argue with me on this this is not a debate). To put it in perspective, I am covered in dark hairs EVERYWHERE, from forehead to toes, not a nook or cranny goes untouched by the hairy godmother on this body. And to put salt on the wound, hair removal always causes me skin issues no matter my routine (also please don’t recommend laser this only makes me upset)
Every experience, struggle, emotion, desire and whatnot people talk about is in some way removed from me due to my body hair. My excessive facial and body hair has become the centre of my life, without even knowing it I’m basing my schedules and happiness around shaving. I cannot buy 90% available clothing online if for one day I don’t want to shave.
I don’t have the energy to shave everything so I stay miserable and even when I do, the fairytale ends a day later when it grows back and bumps start to form (despite my best efforts to prevent them).
I keep myself from even enjoying a fantasy of love (making) because I am so unhappy with the state of myself and cannot imagine trying to convince a man to see beyond my hairy vessel. I convince myself I don’t like swimming to keep myself from the anguish that comes with swimming; becoming even more aware of your body, while looking at others with envy, wondering how I would’ve lived my life not feeling restricted by a hairy prison.
Even when I find someone who relates, they have other things going on for them. Alongside being fugly under my clothes, I am a nobody under my skin. I am slowly losing myself in this curse that is BDD as it consumes my whole life, even taking over what I have loved so unconditionally in the past.
It hurts going through every day with only this on my mind, while the people around me would genuinely not fathom even a fraction of what living life like this is like. They complain to me about their bodies and even their body hair with zero regard of how I feel when I know that if they were me they would do anything to be anyone else. Even when I talk about it with friends, nobody can understand, and its not their fault at all, but it makes me feel alone and weird.
I know men would rather have an easier to deal with girlfriend, one that can go swimming whenever, one that is ready for him in bed whenever, someone he can touch whenever, someone who has soft skin at all times. How could I ever let anyone in or pursue someone when this is my reality? No online dating advice or coach feels relatable to me, they never have to deal with this and would never know how to give me advice other than to ‘find someone who will accept me’ basically confirming I am a living defect.
Summer makes everything worse for me. I am in constant pain and all I want is the summer to be over, I tried to like it, I tried to make it work for me. I can’t.. and if one day I wont feel like this again, it cannot feel farther away.
This dictates my whole life, it motivates my every move, it defines my very being. Nobody seems to grasp this. I am so alienated from everyone.
I am driven by hatred of that what grows on me with no mercy.

Apologies as this is probably going to be a long entry.
Earlier this year I started a new job in the police, to do this I left another job in the prison service where I was doing well. This was a position which my girlfriend told me to apply for as it was where she worked and was more money. I accepted, applied and got the job. She appeared really happy that I got the job and it was supposed to be our way out of my mum's house where we both lived.
On the evening of my second shift I had to stay up to the early hours of the morning to pick up my girlfriend. She had to stay late as she was having some serious issues with her mental health including self harm and suicidal thoughts. I have been supportive of this taking up extra duties in the house and doing my lions share to sort her as I always have. She told me that she stayed late to talk about previous traumas. She told me about them when I picked her up and I stayed up to talk to her to make sure she was ok. We had a really good talk where I was supportive and said we would get through it together and I'll do what I can to make life easier. I woke up and went to work and when I finished I was walking to the gate and 3 detectives asked me to follow them and took me to the gate where everyone was leaving took my eppilettes and badge and informed me that I was under arrest for an alleged assault on my girlfriend.
Just for context I would never lay a hand on a woman especially not in anger or frustration, I know the second you lose your temper you lose the argument so if anything ever started feeling heated I would leave so we both had time to cool down and have a proper conversation.
I was very confused however pressumed they had mistaken me with an ex-boyfriend who I know had assaulted her and she was talking to her manager about it. Because of this I wasnt to worried as I knew I had never done anything that was even close to assault, I'm not saying we were perfect , we argued but it was always verbal (at least from my end) and always came to a reasonable end. We never lost our temper with each other.
When I got to the station they said that she had said that I slapped her once outside a bar, I was shocked by this and when they said it was 9 months ago I knew they hadn't mistaken me for her ex as we were together for four years by this point. I was placed in prison Grey's and put in a cell then interviewed. They released me on bail with conditions not to contact her and they took my phone for evidence incase I had messaged anyone admitting that I slapped her. I need to stress at this point that THIS NEVER HAPPENED.
The case was classed as a no further action after a month of pointless attempts to crack my phone and trying to persuade myself and my girlfriend to give them the pin which I refused to do without being told by the court that I had to. As a result of this whole incident I lost my job in the police and cannot reapply as now I have an arrest on my record. My life fell apart as a result of this whole thing and now my degree in policing and criminal investigation seams like a complete waste. Any jobs I want and suit are in public service or military and this throws a massive spanner in the works.
When I first saw her we went through everything that had happend and why she said it. She said that we were playing about and that I had tapped her face which she found disrespectfu but that she never meant that she wanted police involvement as she had kicked me first. Again this had never happend. I have spoken to many police officers and staff that I know who have said that it sounds suspicious and that they had absolutely no reason to arrest me if what my girlfriend had told me was true. When I said this and said would she get the transcript of what was said as it was a recorded session she said "what if I have remembered wrong" this shook me to my core as it strikes me as she has said more than what she told me. She had also changed her story about when and what happened.
As a result of this whole thing I have lost loads of trust, money, motivation and I'd be lying if I hadnt suffered some darker thoughts such as driving my car into a wall at 100mph. I was looked at by people I didn't know as a wife bearer and it made me sick. To top it off she got everything she wanted as she wanted to move out but financially we couldn't save money for a house and we would also be leaving my mum in the shit if we left as we payed all the bills. To avoid this I let her stay at my mum's and I slept in my car so she was close to work and could continue her way of life. However she decided she knew best and got an appartment which we now both live in and I can't afford. She's also saying that she's more confident now and showed me messages of guys who are trying to get in her pants. Meanwhile I have gone from being confident and strong to being a complete shell of my former self. And she didn't want to take any responsibility for any of it. She also told me that she had my back and told the manager that reported me to the police that she was upset with her however looking at the messages to her manager she was nothing but friendly with her.
My head's fucked, I feel betrayed, small, insignificant and like everything that happend to me just didn't matter to her. I don't know what to do, I'm trying to get my head right by going back to the gym but my motivation is shot. I don't know if I can trust her anymore and I feel bitter and resentful. What do I do to start feeling better and should I confront her about what I've gone through because of her bullshit story or should I just leave. I want to make it work as this is the only bad thing in our relationship. But it's fucking written me off and I don't know how I can get past it. I appreciate any advice or guidance to help me get past this portion of my life.

Context information: When my husband and I met in November 2009, he had a 2-year-old son, (we will call him Tre) whose bio mom had voluntarily gave up custody and agreed to visitation prior to me being involved. We have been married since June 2010. In that time frame, we have had 2 more sons and the bio mom decided to stop visitation in January 2013.
When we started dating, I told bio mom I wasn't there to replace her, that I was there to help parent this little boy. My husband and I agreed that Tre should have the choice of what he wanted to call me (ex. my name, a nickname, mom, etc.). He chose to call me "Mommy (my name)" and to call his bio mom "Mommy (her name)". It was mostly to be able to distinguish between us and predominantly called us "Mommy" in person. So this is gonna be a long one. My ex and I legally divorced many years ago, finally, after she got pregnant with another man's kid. Someone who she had been dating for 2 months. It was a rough marriage, but also one I dragged out, badly not wanting to put our children through a divorce. I had a hard time letting her go, as she was my first relationship. I had a full-time job that required extensive commitment and required much of my time. Luckily, my job was flexible, and I was able to watch my kids while my then-wife would run off for weeks at a time, going to parties, doing drugs and, unbeknownst to me, having intimate relationships with other men and women. I realize how this sounds, but she was pretty open about drugs and partying, making it seem like a life crisis. And here's the kicker: she told everyone that we were in an "open relationship", a term I was too nieve to have heard of, and which her friends took at face value. It made her friends less likely to talk to me, thinking I was some weirdo. She was literally often times gone for WEEKS at a time. And when she's come back, she'd clear out the bank account. When we separated, it was because she left me and our two kids to move in with her "new boyfriend", which lasted for a few months. Long enough to be considered abandonment. Then it was move, move, move, until she got together with her new boyfriend, who knocked her up. I tried to give her a fair custody deal, in part because I was stupid, and in part because I was led to believe that, as the mother, she had a huge advantage with custody over me. For years and years, my ex-wife moved from place to place, taking advantage of me and badmouting me and screwing with me at every possible oppertunity. A few years back, there was an incident where she was convicted of abusing our children, leaving many physical markings on our son, who was 5 at the time. In exchange for her completing anger management and parenting classes, I didn't press for full custody. Now, years later, she started telling my son that she didn't commit the abuse, and that she didn't deserve to be on the child abuse registry. She moved in with her sister in November, then got kicked out in January. It was around that time that my son confided in me that, 1.) His mom didnt deserve to be on the child abuse registry, as she "didnt do it", and that 2.) I was the one who caused our relationship to go south, by avoiding my parental responsibilities, going out and partying, yadda yadda. Basically all the shit she did to me. In fact, I was trying to make money and be a full-time dad for our two kids, while she ran off and did these things to me. We are now in a place of her trying to go after full custody, and her trying to poison and twist the minds of our children. This has gotten much worse since she was ordered to pay $200~some~odd a month for child support, because the Court has a requirement that someone pay when the kids are on state assistance. The amount was significantly less because the Court had to impute my income. Since June of 2023, when I got diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that goes after my brain, I have had $0 in income. It's a hard disease to diagnose, but Ive gotten several second opinions, had eight MRIs, and all the experts agree: I have multiple sclerosis. My income was imputed at over $9,000 a month, while U survive off the generosity of my family. The only drama I have with them is related to how I used to defend my ex wife and let her walk all over everyone. Previously, I supported my family through hard work, bringing in, maximum, around $1500 to $2500 a month, but have struggled to get back to the point where I can work. Disability is no help, they just keep denying me. They don't want to hear about a 29-year-old with ongoing massivr fatigue problems. The Court tells me I need to be on Disability to have my income adjusted. I think my ex-wife is drugging one or both of my kids, possibly through second-hand cannabis use, but am legitimately scared to make such a claim. Every time someone has made a claim against her, it's come back to royally bite them in the ass, somehow. Meanwhile, she refuses to hold down a job, despite having a perfect-working immune system and seemingly unlikited energy, and now that she's been ordered to pay child support, the parental alienation has increased 10-fold, with my kids coming home three out of four weekends (her timr) needing to be "reset". They cuss and swear at me, as their mom has "no rules". I'm at a loss, what do you do in this sort of situation? I do have an attorney, who told me he doesn't think she'll ever be able to get 50/50, but I still worry about this, to the level of it effecting friendships and relationships with my family. I seriously have people that hate me because I put up with her. And I try, so hard, to be a good dad,, and to be always fair and not to crap-talk this woman. And with a few nasty lies, their mother seems to just uproot and wash away everything I've done, like it was nothing. It's just so defeating. They're six and ten, and I got on the most stable drug I possibly could, and have been working with physical therapy trying to get back with it. The drug I'm on doesn't make flu or covid more severe or risky, specifically because my favorite little human petri dishes are very likely to bring something home.I have no history with drugs or alcohol, or any criminal record. My name certainly isn't on the abuse registry, and I havent had an issue with CPS since I was married. I cannot tell you how many times I went out of my way, on my own dime, to provide two-way transportation to foster the relationship between these kids and their mother, believing it was best for them. I thought, maybe, eventually, she'd grow up and be a mom. For a while, I believed she was. All the while, I gave her money for food, a few times for rent, new car parts, installed by me, appliances hauled and paid for and installed, by me, trying to just help her out. All this only to find out years later that despite her not having these kids hardly at all, she was claiming that they lived with her full-time to get more assistance, and even today, she is the same crap-talking liar I had only previously seen glimpses of. After my son told me what his mother had said, I requested a copy of the previous abuse record from CPS, and come to find out, not only did she refuse the free parenting and anger management classes she was offered, even though we agreed she would take them, but she also tried to say that I left the markings on the children when CPS investigated, amongst other games. Our youngest corroborated the story perfectly to the CPS investigator at the time, according to the report, which concretely confirmed the details. After their mother refused classes, CPS ended up adding her name to the naughty list of child abusers. I strongly no longer believe that her having custody time at all is best for the children. What would you do, or have you done in a similar situation? What pitfalls do I need to avoid or not see coming? Additionally, how do you go about secretly drug testing your 10-year-old? Is there a more obvious answer? I am currently custodial, at about 80/20, with many times where she didnt take them during her time, but I fear what's in store for these kids in the coming months, when we transition to the usual 50/50 during the summer.
